Well with mfb you dont really have a choice unless if you know japanese well enough do you? The sub doesn’t exist besides the first 30 episodes… yet😭 what i guess youre reffering to is the regular ass japanese version😭 i mean if there WAS a sub id naturally watch that of course because im all for sub i dont like dubs but like when you dont have a choice… its the dub😭 i of course watch the japanese version (without sub cauze it doesnt exist) sometimes on certain episodes where im like “i GOTTA see how this was in the original) . also the dub isnt bad by any means LMFAO people shit on it but like? Im sorry the joke delivery is a thousand times funnier LMFAO theres just so much like random ass funny shit they say that you know wasnt there in the original version?? Like i just know😭😭i dont know japanese well enough to understand it fully but like theres certain jokes in there that were just added with the dub and you know it.

Fusion ryūga is funny as FUCK. Like one of the major reasons why i dont hate his ass is because Hes literally so fucking funny wdym your father couldnt cut it. I feel like the va started taking him more seriously towards masters LMFAO and from what ive heard from japenese ryūga he has the same seriousness throughout. Tetsuya is also funny in both in both versions…jumbo crab…….crabba whaaaat⁉️⁉️ plus coach steel plus masamunee😭😭😭 Daxiang’s voice difference is also so funny theres something so funny abt his. English dub like. He sounds like hes trying too hard like 99% of the time but hes also silly. He sounds like an angry mother grounding his son when talking to Chao xin in that one episode😭😭 If that makes sense idk i fucking love daxiang… i compared the a scene once where hes like kinda shouting? Screaming? While fighting Julian and Japense va sounds so serious while the eng. the😭the english version😭😭hoAAAAAAAAA😭😭😭HE SOUNDS SO FUNNY HES SO STUPID💔💔💔

one voice i dont like from the japenese version is🤔julian…. Theres a way that. Dynamis sounds in the english version thats like. He. Sounds like kinda like a robot like a guy with no inside voice its kinda funny. The robot thing might be bcs hes constantly spewing out exposition and being a plot device but still its like the way he tones his voice sounds like its his first time talking ever ITS NOT BAD ITS FUNNY😭😭maybe it makes sense cauze that mofo lives in that isolated temple or whateva. Also credit to the english ver. Of the scene where Aguma and Kyouya were battling and the argument was literally fucking “youre not a lion youre a house cat in the backyard” (great thing to say when youre on johnnes’s side aguma😬) “GRR what did you just call me” THIS IS A MIDDLE ARGUMENT. THEYRE TALKING LIKE MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ROLEPLAYING IN THE SCHOOLS GARDEN. WHAT IS THIS😭😭its funny i hate them both i hope they die (affectionate)

also i just LOVE his mannerisms. like his finger guns/arm flourishes are so STUPID but so endearing. he's really just a joy to behold.

i put got done dirty by fans because i guess i dont like to see him uke-fied (or woobified in a way that isn't the way that i (correctly) woobify him) and made to be a blushing little maiden when he's like . not that. like even in a sort of bosselot context it's like. it's the fact that he's this cold, uncaring, double crossing spy who kills in cold blood and has a torture fetish and is just as dangerous in fact MORE DANGEROUS than big boss . and yet. his (canon basically?) motivations are because he never got over his teen crush. because somehow, throughout all his double crossing and billion different affiliations, he's doing it all for one (1) person. which. ironically. is kind of the very definition of "loyalty to the end". but while he has the intelligence to see through any need to be loyal to a country/government, or to any organisation, he doesn't have the moral desire to fight for anything or anyone good. so he fights for big boss. (AND FOR WHAT? like he doesn't even get anything for it in canon. big boss doesnt give a shit. so he's somehow "selflessly" doing all the shit he does. expecting no reward. like it's the weird martyrness of it all. big boss as the devil and ocelot as his evil apostle. idk. sorry. im not being normal.)

he also fights for himself of course because he enjoys murder and evilness and misogyny and well i mean he needs to get the money for his authentic vintage cowboy boots from somewhere and well the patriots are very rich or so ive heard. a secret billion dollars in an underground vault or something. so yeah he's simply the worst BUT he's such a fucking funny stupid meowing cowboy also . he has the RANGE!!! he deserves to rot in hell but he's also my best friend in the world and i feed him kibble.

jk jk sorry dude im not sure what you mean like, advice for the game in general? ive never played ctl so i guess all i can offer is what ive heard and read?

ok so, play the most recent version of the game (2e i think its called) because its better, but also take it with a grain of salt. everyone ive heard from so far improvises on the game and makes homebrews, and theres so much creative room in this game that its perfect for exploring what the fuck ever you like in a ttrpg.

its even the kind of game you could just spend time making shit up for yourself if you dont want to/cant play it, as ive been doing.

like i said ive never played so idk about the finer mechanics of gameplay and whats balanced and whats not, but when it comes to character creation i REALLY encourage you to dig into ur imagination and bring out a magic creature you wanna be or youd wanna make an oc out of

what kinda changeling do you wanna be/play as? what made your character that way? what do they do after they escape Arcadia?

check out seemings/kiths/courts and then mess that dude UP, give them sick powers and weaknesses

you can be kithless lmao, some people are just too nebulous to categorize

the courts all have a different emotion for how they deal with being a changeling. you dont have to pick a court, but if u do id say to ask your character what being in that court means to them.

oh also if youre making up a Fae, try to make it as fucked up and cool as possible. theyre so weird and monstrous at times. i just picked my changelings keeper from the ones already made (because hes awful in a great way) but i think itd be cool if more people made their own?

ppl have explained this better than me, but the thing that changelings have that fae will almost never have is the support of other changelings. fae are so concerned with themselves they cant understand banding together to live like changelings do (which makes them still human). so i wanna say keep in mind that the best weapon changelings have against fae is ironically the power of bonds (motleys, freeholds, and courts) this is the heart of the game imo.

yes of course!! i love answering questions like i said i have lots of thoughts, head full and Such. especially about my ocs and mlynar because he's blorbo from my games. god i woke up today and i'm counting down the events til he's Here and i Have Him.

i do have a couple more arknights ocs (i have ocs in other things lol but. arknights is the focus.) they're less developed outright than shealtiel.

i'm leaving shealtiel's story where it is for the moment until we have an update on what andoain is doing, then i'll probably tweak it to move with that. i do think that he's not going to get what he wants, because i don't think he's going to get to help kill andoain given how arknights handles characters like ando, but he's going to be better off for not getting it.

as for my other ocs, i have my doctor, who is in stasis because i don't like being wildly wrong about lore. but the sparknotes is that their name is taki, they're divorced from kal'tsit, they're four foot nine and their abilities include seeing branching timelines from their decisions, which is responsible for their tactics. the Doctor Visor helps them filter it all out, which is why they rarely take it off in actual situations or important (plot-relevant) conversations. however, it was made before the sarcophagus, so it's a little loose and it falls down a bit sometimes. for now they're a fennec vulpo because i love fennec foxes. i realize this makes two of my arknights characters vulpos, but this is unsurprising, because foxes are part of my Brand.

second fox is a self-indulgent one. audr "audie" fuchsfrost is arctic fox + from a minor family in kjerag. i made him because i think silverash is hot and i wanted to make an ocship about it. bottom text. audie seems very unassuming and cute and sociable, but he also has a pragmatic side that keeps encio guessing and is always a pleasant surprise for audie's partner. arranged marriage to actual lovers because they realize they have a lot in common. i said this was self-indulgent, didn't i. "this is my husband, enciodes, and this is his boyfriend, gnosis."

last one is still in the oven, but i've been working on a kazimierz bounty hunter's guild oc, a banshee sarkaz called enka or "howl". she grew up with the guild. has vocal Arts. is an absolute raccoon of a woman. i think they found her in the garbage. i've kind of been marinating on her the last couple of days but she's the newest addition, so, there's not too much there yet.

Idk like, all the other characters (aside from maybe Kawaii-chan but I'd prefer not to think abt her in general) have these very normal kinda generic names (Katelyn, Garroth, Zane, Lucinda, Lawrance, Aaron n god knows who else) so Aphmau as a name just seems really out of place but im not fully sure yet

Okay, so I think im gonna keep the plot stuff about how their Lord recently passed away and now everythings in chaos and theyve lost contact to all those other village states and theyre running low on resources oh no, I think thats a good excuse to keep it contained to one single place in the beginning as everyone is trying to deal with this shit. I dont remember too much about the plot from when I last watched this series though, so I might change some stuff later to have some foreshadowing and maybe make things more cohesive

Because this is a Minecraft Roleplay Aphmau doesnt really have a backstory which makes perfect sense in the context of it being a Minecraft Roleplay since we (the audience) dont really need to know anything about what happened prior the RP starting, however, Im trying to approach this like more of a traditional story so I think thats kinda necessary. I actually kinda already rewrote Diaries when I first watched it a few years back (but I was also using my own OCs back then so idk if it really counts) and the way I dealt w/ it there was just, the Main Character has amnesia. The full backstory was that she was actually the daughter of a noble (idk if it was the noble running the community she stumbled upon but its likely) and they did some magic/herb bullshit to make her forget everything but her name in order to protect her from being killed like the rest of their family and then shes just kinda a helpful nice girl in this struggling community until her past catches up w/ her yknow? I'd like to basically just do that but w/ Aphmau here

Im gonna go more into detail when we actually get to it, but I know towards the end of the first season they reveal that Aphmau is actually the reincarnation of Irene (whos basically Jesus in this world) and I feel like thats a bit much?? So im just gonna say shes like, Irenes only child or her only living child instead and sort of tie that into my previous idea, but again Im gonna get more into it when we get to that part

Im also leaning a bit more towards realism here (obvs its still fantasy I'd just rather nor have Minecraft physics yknow)

Aphmau finding the village is gonna go like this: She sees Vylad on patrol or some shit, follows him to the village, sees the other guards and kinda hides in the bushes nearby, eavesdrops on them (hears Garroth n Zenix have their exposition talk, (G) "I dont think anyone in the village will listen to any of the guards. Not after how horrible the last Lord was..." (Z) "Now that the Lord is gone the village is in chaos. What are we going to do?"), wonders whats going on and sneaks to the village without alerting the guards

Aphmau is staying more or less lowkey and just kinda walks around the village for a bit, sees all the villagers and all that, maybe has some little interactions with them idk

She nabs some carrots from one of the fields bc shes hungry (this is basically all just like it is in the OG Diaries but less Minecraft RP-ey yknow)

After that ya girl jusg sort of wanders around in the village, maybe pointing out some stuff that needs fixing and thinking about how she could help (bc shes definitely not leaving) and its kinda like foreshadowing her being this really good and helpful presence in this struggling village n shit

Im not fully sure how Im gonna deal w/ the Minecraft stuff initially, like, before it transitions into pure story and more or less cuts out all the modded!Lets Play shit. Bc in the RP, they dont really craft things (if I remember correctly) they just. get them somehow but Aphmau is gonna be crafting quite a bit in these early episodes im pretty sure. Now I have tried to convert this type of MinecraftRP into a proper story before, and the way I dealt w/ the crafting aspect there was by having a sorta Fullmetal Alchemist style magic system, where you have to put raw resources in this summoning circle thing and they work exactly a crafting bench but more Mystical n Magical but Im not sure if that would work that well

Aphmau is exploring the area a bit (and collecting some stones for better resources, if I'll actually go for my idea w/ the crafting benches) and hears weird creepy noises?? I dont remember if that leads anywhere, but Im putting it here in case it actually does or in case I can use a scene like this for something else

She doesnt really worry about finding a home and just kinda does her thing for a bit, exploring the area and all that, but then she realizes Oh Shit. Its Night Time and everyone already went home and locked their doors so dhes kinda fucked. She tries knocking on some doors but no one opens her but she fortunately manages to find a house thats seemingly abandoned and stays there for the night

(Also, Im keeping the hostile minecraft mobs)

And yeah, thats pretty much it for the first episode/chapter??maybe

hi i do have recommendations but my taste in most things isnt super refined just a heads up!!! a lot of these movies arent rlly rated well i just see the woter and im like "hm scary and good enough for me!!

also a lot of these arent really deep sea and/or horror. ill take what i can get tho fr fr as long as its vaguely on theme.

theres a movie called 47 meters down which. was good and i liked it!! its abt these two gals who find themselves in a sunken cage at the bottom of the ocean in shark infested waters and um. its very nerve wrecking and i rlly liked the ending tbh? and lots of tense moments. disclaimer tho ik movies that vilify sharks contribute to stinky things and also i understand that sharks r just creatures tryna eat and not starve and i adore them. predators under water just hit different and movies abt them are Sometimes fun. tbh usually i avoid movies where the whole premise is Scary Shark but this one involved them being trapped in a Cage so it intrigued me

theres also a movie called the cave that i rlly enjoyed parts of but i was so let down by other parts!! these lads find an under water cave and go to explore it. idk how much i should spoil but the one aspect of it that i didnt like is that the set up seemed very practical and realistic and then it strayed so far from what is possible/plausible here on this earth and i think they could have avoided doing that by being a little less scifi with their creatures, and it would have made it so much better. but overall i liked it!! the cave is completely uncharted & Not an environment humans have any business surviving in so. yeah i want more movies just like that.

i Sorta have the similar beef with the movie sea fever? but it seems less out of place somehow. but also its more like.,,, boat horror?? less conflict takes place in the Water so it didnt rlly capture my interest the same tbh. but it was still worth watching imo!!

Hmm. i reallyyy love The Girl From the Other Side. its a very quiet and gentle story with a kind of dark tone. also has great art direction. kinda reminds me of irish folklore (i think the author was going for that, the alt. title is Siúil, a Rún) i bought physicals of it and it was so worth it imo. (12 volumes)

Ive been reading Call of the Night a little, its fun. insomniac meets vampire and they hang out at night, if you want something light and kinda popcorn-like, might enjoy it. (ongoing)

Mightve already read it but im mostly throught Chainsaw Man and its been really good, i like it a lot. rare series that, hits the chaotic angle really well, lots of great characters, art, world building, etc. 11 volumes long

Junji ito is always fun to read!!! uzumaki is pretty fun, im gonna read tomie soon. his one-shot works are fun too. if you havent read his stuff, 10/10 recommend.

I liked ancient magus bride, never finished but i was enjoying it (ongoing series?)

Houseki no Kuni is top tier. i need to buy that series. super great, i feel unsettled with it cuz, its all so alien. and i cant really like, use anything is the world as a reference to ground myself (in a good way). its all so surreal how they handle things that i think are dangerous. its a longer story (i forget how many volumes but a lot!)

Girls Last Tour is a melancholic story abt two girls traveling the world after a global apocolypse. it can be assumed theyre the last ppl alive. its a show abt how deep and wonderful humanity is. its got a lot of wonderful moments with the two protags and their adventures. (12 volumes)

I havent read it (yet) but ive heard many great things abt dungeon meishi. seems like a mix of konosuba and the priconne anime. fantasy world with cooking and fun characters with comedy and stuff

Been thinking about getting into Fire Emblem. Do you know which game I should start first?

OK. i unfortunately havent played toooo many of the older games (since theyre a lot harder to find / id need an emulator to play and ive been too lazy to get one)

jsut to go over what i know! path of radiance + radiant dawn are connected iirc? path of radiance was released on the game cube and radiant dawn on the wii, theyre difficult to find and are super expensive bc im pretty sure they made too little copies? or something like that... i unfortunately havent played them but ive been really wanting to

the game to come after those is fire emblem awakening.... my personal FAAAAVVEE. if it were i think id start w/ this one! you can get it for the 3ds

then its fire emblem fates, theres a lot of debate around whether this one was Good or not, but imo ive been enjoying it so far. plus the characters are super fun. it maaaay be a downgrade from awakening but thats ofc upt o personal opinion!

then theres a remake eof fire emblem gaiden called shadows of valentia... i have it on me but i havent gotten around to playing it yet jdfnfjfg so i cant say for sure if its a good place to start or not

the one ive been trying to finish up now is fire emblem three houses! its possible to start on this one (i got my friend to do so and they did just fine!) but imo theres jsut soooo much going on in terms of classes and enemies and shit that idont think its a great place to start. if you decide you enjoy the games though then i def couldnt recommend it enough!

fire emblem warriors three hopes came out recently and is like ? a spin off type alternate universe to three houses. has all the same characters just in the middle of the game's time skip i believe.

the msot recent one it fire emblem engage! i havent played it myself or heard much abt it;... so i cant say for sure if its a good place to start of not

IN CONCLUSION:

since you have no like ? personal cconnection to the older games (unless you wanna start w/ the old ones! i dont blame you if you do. i just grew up w/ the "newer" generation of games so im more likely to recommend them rather than the older ones :]) i def recommend something like fire emblem awakening to start! i unfortunately cant rly help if you dont have a 3ds , since im not very knowledgeable on emulators and the sort but! i think i recommend that one if you wanna get into it :] since that was my first fire emblem game! and it worked very well for me! if you dont' care abt difficulty and whatnot and have a switch though, then i recommend three houses!

I haven't heard abt much of it myself, but what are your thoughts on Rakugaki Kingdom?

I was certainly really happy when it was announced, even made a youtube video abt shortly after the first announcement. I honestly have many thoughts on rakugaki kingdom (was gonna make a video for that too but never did) but instead i am going to make an insanely long post about it here instead!! so thank you for giving me a reason to finally write this stuff down lol -the actual core gameplay of the series, the character creation/drawing, is flawless. they brought it over so well, and being able to draw right on the screen with a tablet means its easier than ever to control!! despite being an ipad game it is SO much more powerful of a creation engine than graffiti kingdom. You can add insane amounts of detail, and many life improvements such as being able to resize things, manipulate polygons, rotate stuff, etc, are a very welcome change. you can even chose if your creation has 2d outlines or not. heres a few creations posted recently on the official twitter!!

-THE ABILITY TO POST DESIGNS ONLINE IS A GAME CHANGER!!! This game now has a community to it where you can like and download various creations from other players. this is something the series needed badly. -The pre-made characters used by enemies in the game are as creative and wacky as ever. One of the most memorable being an owl thats made out of a milk carton. -I am very happy ZUN was involved with the game, we even got a sequel to his original graffiti kingdom reimu!!

and better yet, an official touhou crossover event happened and now reimu is an actual character in the game!

-They got many people involved from graffiti kingdom, we had an official pastel done by her OG creator, and the OG voice actor for pixel's tutor (sadly thats about all the graffiti kingdom stuff we get in this game though)

-Theres apperently a feature where you can actually export your creation as a 3d model!! so you make them into a VR avatar even. Though I must admit I dont know how this feature works or its limits. -The little area where you can watch your lil creations dance n have fun is similar to the magic pengel starting area which is so damn cozy

-Im extremely happy how popular it got in japan. theyre having a blast creating stuff and im glad the game is making money because of that. Meaning future rakugaki games are finally possible again!!

-Music is pretty dope!

-Thats about all for positives for the game, I actually had more than I realized pfft. Now for the more unfortunate stuff:

-The character designs simply arent as striking as what we've seen in the serious before. The rather samey anime style is kinda eh in comparison to graffiti kingdoms cartoonishness and magic pengels ghibli-style designs. Maybe some fans like the characters, but they certainly dont strike my fancy

-The stories are a slog. The "cutscenes" are just png icons of the characters talking back and forth (with your main creature faithfully sitting in the corner not doing much). I only got through so many before I decided Im just not gonna bother.

-The battle system itself is more like magic pengel which isnt a bad thing by any means but instead of the rock-paper-scissors style game play, you just get generic elemental moves and special moves that are pretty much like the z-moves in pokemon.

-And finally my biggest gripe: you cant immediately use your creation in battle until you go through possibly the most painstaking way to level up ive ever seen in a mobile game: watching DOZENS AND DOZENS of uneventful cutscenes and slowly choosing your stats as you go, until like a full hour later your creature can now be used. Its horrible. Sure you can still see all your creations animations in the test zone, but otherwise if you wanna make the most out of the creation you just spent two hours on you need to watch cutscenes. This is what kinda killed my enjoyment for the game, as much as I wish I enjoyed rakugaki kingdoms story and battles I just cant. I was even originally planning to translate the cutscenes to bring em to the english audience, but i can hardly sit through em as is. Im not even sure if theyve updated or changed this or not because I just stopped checking.

The drawing system is the true star of this game, and I still love it for that alone. I dont like really PLAYING rakugaki kingdom, but Im still very very happy it exists. It means a lot to me that this series is alive again and I hope it continues to grow!!! Rakugaki forever<3

speaking of ur cass playlist hc...reminds of the time (yesterday) i found 2 playlists randomly on spotify from the same user. one was abt 3 hours of instrumental/classical "dark" & "nostalgic" music. the other almost 11 hours of nothing but hardcore bass/synth/electronic music. just an incredible tightrope act to put on in public. the synth one was also called like "psalms for synth sluts" which is Also incredible
