Alright, that’s out of the way! So... you wanna have a puppet show? Let’s take a look at your options!

Business

Spamton is aware, on some level, of how poorly he does when it’s just him and he has had success working with others in the past (even if it was brief). He’s good at getting things rolling, he’s a whizz when it comes to crunching numbers, he’s lived and breathed business since his first steps... but as soon as he starts marketing, everything goes downhill. 

He’s open to bringing in outside help to do dirty work for him and might even pay, if there’s profits to be had on his end.

Pay him and he’ll be willing to do or get most anything for you, given that you pay enough. Just dont expect to hire him for something as extreme as murder and not see some of that cash going towards him hiring someone else to do the dangerous part.

Friendships

Spamton may be Post Pacifist and more than just a little lonely, but he has a hard time trusting people enough to call them friends. If you still want to try, though, you’ll need some serious patience. It takes time and/or special circumstances for Spamton to see someone as more than just another easy mark or the means to an end, however mundane or grand his plan of the day might be, and he’ll fully expect to be bitten in the ass or otherwise bailed on if he gets too friendly with someone. 

But once you convince him you’re legit?  He’s loyal to a scary degree. Also, expect pipis.

Enemies

This one’s easy! Stealing from him is the most surefire way to earn yourself enough fury that you’d think Spamton might just combust, though full on attacking him with intent to kill/maim is going to get an equally as mean grudge. Muscling in on his turf or screwing with his sales works, too.

He’s got nothing to really lose, so insults barely phase him and he hardly considers threats as... well, threats unless there’s some real substance behind them, so do be sure to leave an impression if you want to be something a little more than “that one asshole.” 

Romance

You’re the bravest person I think I’ve ever met. Also........ WHY???

If you’re still interested after that chance to reconsider, just know that if convincing him you’re a genuine friend is hard, this is near to impossible. 

Spamton’s middle aged, his glory days are way behind him, and he’s Spamton. He’s selfish, greedy, uncaring, and he smells like a mix of old takeout and cheap cologne within an hour or so of showering. He’s both touch averse and touch starved. His idea of a kiss is bapping his teeth on people and saying “mwah.”

He’s open to flings (and he definitely does judge anyone who looks at him that way) and might even flirt or (extremely rarely) get caught in the furthest, most difficult to see corners of whatever adult entertainment venues might be nearby, but he’s completely and totally convinced that nobody could ever be interested in any genuine way.

Ive never understood IP I guess. I dont see whats wrong with doing the same meme in your own words or drawing the same art in your own style. Like yuore still putting effort in so I dont see it as stealing. I only see directly reposting the exact same thing as stealing. But IG I also dont have a lot of original creativity myself. Like when I write stories its usually writing an idea I saw someone else write first and I put a lots of hours into it but sometimes people get mad anyway because they say you shouldnt write anything anyone else has written even if its in your own words and you arent making money so IDK. I think its a topic different people have different feelings on. So some people may think its weird to get upset over and others might be confused like me. IDK who's right LOL.

I agree with you, I also don’t see people seeing a pose or whatever and being like “I want to draw my character like that” as stealing- but the thing is that if artists are getting upset about it then I go “well that’s probably an issue with them then”. Just because I don’t understand it doesn’t mean it’s not an issue. A lot of examples of “art theft” I see in my mind isn’t art theft. But it is the rules agreed upon in the online art community, so I’m not going to argue or breach those rules because I’m not a part of that online space, I don’t understand it, and it’s none of my business to go and argue with them. There’s a lot of identities I don’t understand within the queer community but I’m going to defend them anyway. Because it’s none of my business and we should be supporting each other instead of trying to poke holes in other’s identities or whatever and telling them they aren’t “real” queers. It’s the same concept. I’m not going to go around telling people who say they’ve had their art stolen that “it’s probably just a coincidence” and they need to “calm down” because 1. If someone is hurting because they feel like their art has been stolen I’m not going to add insult to injury and 2. It’s none of my business! They’re allowed to complain about it! Even if it’s not true their feelings are real about it! Does that make sense? And intellectual property can 100% be stolen. ik the meme is dead at this point, but what is writing if not a fickle muse that bonks me over the head saying “why dont u write a coffeeshop au but with kfc”?

He claimed he was doing it for experience. Diluc claimed a lot of things, but you knew better than to actually take most of what he said to be the truth. He claimed he hated you, he claimed that he preferred working alone, and he even claimed that this job was just something he did to pass the time.

Okay, maybe the last part was a little true. You never pried too much into it: you were just an exhausted student trying to survive until the weekend on three hours of sleep a day and venti-sized Starbucks (no pun intended).

Getting chicken was just a convenient way to fill your stomach while keeping your roommates from stealing your food. Xiangling always did her best to fill the refrigerator, but Xingqiu, Chongyun, and Xinyan were more likely to swipe your muffins than try whatever the hell Xiangling made last.

Diluc on the other hand? He was a renown tycoon, or so the rumor said, and rumor continued on to say that he was just working here to kill time and to get better at talking to other people. He told it to you once a few visits back, telling you that his stepbrother wanted him to step out of his usual brooding, office work.

You wondered if you should tell him that working at KFC was probably not what his stepbrother meant by getting better at his social skills. 

The smell of crispy chicken and oil hit your nose like a wet blanket when you pushed open the doors to the KFC. You hastily shoved your car keys into your pocket, feeling for your wallet to make sure it was there before approaching the counter. 

It was empty, save for the red-headed worker that you’ve gotten close with. Diluc glanced at you as you walked in through the door, squaring his shoulders and looking at you with his gloomy eyes like always. “I’ve been expecting you.”

“You don’t need to say it like you’re going to drag me off or something,” you laughed. “I come here almost every other day.”

“The usual?” He asked, poking at his monitor. He made no attempt to joke back at you, and you let it go. 

“Yeah. And don’t forget the extra biscuits. My roommates love those,” you added, pulling your wallet out to hand over a couple crumpled bills. Diluc reached out for the money, his fingertips brushing against yours momentarily.

Xingqiu, ever the avid fanfiction reader, always gushed about how lovely it would be for you to fall in love with Diluc and to live the cute romance of your dreams between the dashing tycoon-masquerading-as-a-chicken-shop-worker-for-funsies and you, a student so sleep-deprived and burnt out that even a stove of failed cookies would be more alluring than you were.

If Diluc were to even see something remotely admirable in you, even you’d be surprised. But Xingqiu loved his fantasies, and it didn’t hurt to let him daydream and live his fanfictions out vicariously through your mostly lackluster life.

Diluc held up a handful of coins, snapping you out of your thoughts. “Your change.”

“O-Oh,” you stammered, straightening up and swallowing. “Um, you can keep it.”

He raised an eyebrow quizzically at you.

“Like for tip. Yeah, you can keep the change as tip,” you smoothed over, exhaling nervously and averting your gaze.

Diluc kept his eyebrow raised but tucked the excess coins away. “Most people don’t tip at KFCs. That stuff is usually saved for restaurants and bars and coffee shops.”

You wanted to smack your forehead. 

“Well, consider it a gift, from a friend to another friend,” you mumbled, sighing. 

“You consider me a friend?” He pressed on, almost like he couldn’t detect the fact that you were awkwardly trying to just keep the conversation from going to the hills while waiting for your food to come out.

“We see each other often… I mean, we’re not like super close, but we know each other by name,” you offered, shrugging to ease the tension. ���Do you not like it when I call you a friend?”

Diluc blinked slowly. “I don’t mind. You can call me your friend. I’m going to check on your order. It should be about done.”

You nodded, letting the enigmatic cashier slink back into the kitchen. You knew that the other worker here was Noelle, and you only saw her on the days that Diluc wasn’t here.

He reappeared a few minutes later with a bag of chicken, handing it over to you with gentle hands. “Enjoy your food. I’ll see you again in a few days?”

You took the bag, nodding. “Of course. This is the best place to get a quick dinner for everyone in my dorm building.”

“Hm. You should bring them in sometime,” he replied calmly.

“You say that every time. And every time I tell you that they’re typically too busy,” you chuckled. “Take care, Diluc.”

“Take care,” he murmured, letting you walk out of the restaurant. 

You placed the chicken in the backseat of your rundown car, the warmth spreading across your fingertips. Diluc was an odd soul, but he wasn’t a bad one. You wondered what he made of you, and you wondered if you could invite him out someday to enjoy the chicken he sold along with your other friends.

Just like the fanfictions Xingqiu read. You could practically hear the giggles he would usually give when he would pester you for more details about your conversations with Diluc. There wasn’t much, you typically reasoned, but it was seemingly enough to keep him entertained time and time again. 

You supposed your humiliation was a small price to pay for the entertainment of your roommates and Diluc’s eccentric friendship.

Someday, you told yourself as you started your car up and took off for home, someday you would get to know him well enough to invite him without messing things up.

Someday.

Just that thought enough was all you needed to entertain the notion of properly befriending the jaded KFC server.

5 What do they like the most about each other? Unsurprisingly their favourite trait is the one they share; the ability to go all out when they want to succeed at something. Louis and Legosi won't hold back, won't feel a single hesitation, when they want to get something important done. That clever recklessness is something they share and its seen them through their big battles. They both see the trait as a fault in themselves but admire it in each other.

6 Who cleans the most? Contrary to that, who is the messiest? Legosi is used to tidying up after himself given his background. He's also just considerate like that. He doesn't want to take up too much real estate in the home. After a lifetime of maids and living with literal gangsters Louis is a mess. He doesn't compute he might have to pick anything up so he throws it everywhere. Even when they do have a maid Legosi refuses to just leave the house a disaster even when Louis insists he pays his staff good money to deal with his shit. Louis got a little better after having to play den mother to the Shishigumi but not much.

7 Who usually cooks? Neither of them can cook. They're both total culinary failures. Louis has just never really bothered to learn. It was always a little "below his station" and he never needed too. Besides, after the livestock ring literally feeding him gruel for the first 5 years of his life he doesn't have very homely memories of food. Actually his whole relationship with food is a disaster but Louis and his disordered eating are a topic for another day!

Legosi went from Grandpa's cooking to cafeteria cooking at Cherryton. He was a little too distracted with grief at the time he might've taken an interest in feeding himself. As a young adult he makes do with take out from his job most of the time. But as he gets older and food becomes more of a family/social even I imagine he'd start to take an interest in learning to nourish his loved ones if not himself. I imagine Riz would give him a few lessons when he's out of Juvie.

13 Who steals the blankets? Legosi has a thick, thick, coat. Both he and Louis are animals better suited to a cooler climate than some but Louis is a blanket bandit. Legosi doesn't mind. Half the time Legosi is the blanket! Louis says he doesn't mind being squished but Legosi suspects a couple of those antler to the face bonks he's received were intentional warnings. 23 What do they do when they're bored and together? With Legosi and Louis there's rarely a dull moment. They're busy people and they rarely take time to have a weekend at home. However idle hands do often lead to the big Horny. So if they've got an hour in between stuff with nothing to do you can bet the first idea will be to bang furiously. 34 What do they do when the other is stressed? Louis is underhanded when Legosi is fretful. Belly pats and fucking are his primary means of distraction but Legosi is also a talker, a monologue heavy wolf, so Louis is always willing to listen.

Louis isn't much of a talker when he's stressed. Louis is the kind of guy who won't rest until he's fixed the problem he sees. If something is broken he's got to hit it with a metaphorical hammer. But sometimes? Sometimes you can't do that. Which Louis hates. Legosi's first recourse is to become an active participant in helping Louis fix whatever's making him stressed but, failing that, the Shishigumi will funnel Louis cigarettes and liquor non stop while Legosi winces. 73 What do they usually text about? Legosi goes a chunk of canon without a phone but you can bet your ass Haru and Louis insist he gets ones eventually. Because its too dangerous to not be able to reach your vigilante wolf! So Louis pays the cell plan and Haru bought the phone so Legosi will feel bad about breaking/losing it.

Their texts start a little awkward. They're both used to having more inputs like body language and tone with each other and they dont want to misunderstand so they hesitate. This turns into Pictionary. They send each other photos of where they are, what they're doing, who they're with, what they're eating, then they send each other reaction gifs, memes, news articles...

Every now and again this stream of almost hieroglyphic texting will be broken with something like: [Where are you? I just saw the news.] Or [We've got a problem. Call me.] Or [My leg is hurting if you're doing something stupid I'll fucking kill you.] Or, most often, [I love you] before the texter does something stupid and reckless.

Didn’t really vibe with them, was kinda creeped out - just something didn’t sit right and they always sent me asks and prompts that just kind of .. I don’t even know how to explain it lmao.. Well they ended up making a Killian about two weeks after they had been following me on their other blog. And literally their post about it was like ‘wanna write a popular character like taylor at (insert old url) so here goes hook!!” and people pointed it out to me and I was like, that’s weird. but, hey, no harm no foul. I didn’t follow their Killian, but I did let them continue following me on their original character. After a while some mutuals who followed both their blog and mine, started dropping links to icons and gifs that they had stolen from me. Stuff that I had made. I confronted them about it and because I’m a nice person, I let it go after our conversation and didn’t block them. (oh sweet honey child). IT GOT INSANE MARA - ABSOLUTELY INSANE. 

I’d make a verse and like bam two days later they would have the same one. They started taking headcanons of mine claiming they had read the book and it was just a general thought so (me being the petty 24 year old that I was - in my defense they were older than me lol) started referencing random NPCs from my imagination and acting like they were in barrie canon. Like I wrote meta about them and referenced the book and was literally just pulling stuff out of my ass. THEY STARTED USING THE SAME FUCKING CHARACTERS, I WAS SCREAMING. The last straw was they actually had the balls to copy a reply from my blog, change a few sentences in each paragraph and wrote it with a different character than who my starter was originally for.

I .. am ashamed to say it... threw hands. I did not handle it well. I confronted them over skype (oh skype. the good ol days) and they admitted to everything and played the victim by saying it wasn’t fair that I had the writing partners I did etc and that they just wanted to be able to write like I did, but they weren’t sure how to go about it and were afraid they’d just look dumb. Flattery meant to hide the fact they were straight up stealing. I blocked them on all of my accounts, changed my Killian blog so you could no longer right click to copy/paste text or save icons or gifs or anything like that, moved blogs and urls and went full on exclusive with people that I knew didn’t write with them because I didn’t even want to be seen on their dash. The fallout was.. insane. rpc shitstorm 2015-2016 honestly. People broke into these tribes of like ‘dont steal thats gross’ and ‘its roleplay your meta and stuff isnt your own let it go’ .  I honestly laugh about it now because there was so much drama all because someone literally couldn’t use their own damn brain to think for themselves.

So  now - oof. I stay clear of duplicates. I obviously have no ownership of Killian/Captain Hook and everyone is allowed to write who they wish ( and honestly, mate .. I applaud your muse choice)- but I will not allow those I do not know to follow me. Actually in all of my time here, I’ve only ever made friends with three duplicates. One I lost track of after I moved blogs and the two others are either completely inactive or on a hiatus (i miss you tabby !! i love you charlie!!). I am hyper aware of what is canon and what is my brain child and I’d be a nervous wreck if I actually had another duplicate that I didn’t know well and trust following me again. So I usually assume other Hooks feel the same way, and I stay in my lane. I allow some relaxation of this practice when it comes to multis - however, if Killian/Captain Hook is their only pirate muse/once upon a time character - I will not follow. And if someone decides to make a Hook after following me I will not follow and if a multi reblogs something from my blog and doesn’t have the brains to even pretend like they weren’t skulking around by going to the source - i hardblock. Life is too short. I don’t have time to worry about whether people are or are not creative.

– Being Friends with Sugawara Koushi & Nishinoya Yuu (headcanons)

a/n: these two were my instant Karasuno faves when I first started so this post is for these two.

Sugawara Koushi:

It starts with a random topic of discussion. Probably few students + him are talking during lunch and you insert yourself into the conversation when they reach a specific topic.

You two instantly hit it off. Bonus points if you’re also a gemini lol. You can talk about nothing in a serious matter or just sound very breezy when it’s actually a concerning topic. Sometimes, it’s flirty talk back and forth and other few times just speaking loud and rather dramatically as if you two are each other’s nemesis. People who dont know you gets confused all the time. And sometimes they ask if you two are dating or just really close. “Dating? Oh haven’t you heard? We got engaged last week!” If they were confused before, needless to say they are completely lost now.

Memes and jokes 24/7. You’ll annoy him with lame puns and he’ll get his revenge with shitty jokes.

He seems calm and collected at first so most of the time it looks like this serene demanour cools you down. But in reality you two just fuel each other to a nonstop. Daichi hates it when it turns into an explosion.

A cafe has a special menu for couples only? You two go there to try it, depending on the order, you two can feed each other too, to take the pretending further.

Studying together at ungodly hours/places:

You hear your phone ring at 1am. “Good night, who’s this?” “Oh good, you’re up. So have you checked out [insert subject] yet? I was getting some reading done and I’m a little confused at this part...” You two end up going over the subject on the phone for hours until either the sun rises or one of you falls asleep.

“Hey, I know we said we’d study but I’m a little hungry, how about we get something to eat first?” “Sure, we can go to the library after that.” The ramen place you two went to had to kick you out bc they were closing for the day and you two were just sitting there, with empty bowls at your sides, studying...

When one of you tries cooking or baking something, you always bring the other some of what you did for tasting. “I’ll be the trusting friend I am and hope you didn’t add some rat poison to it.” “Bold of you to assume I’d spend money on poisoning you when I can find better ways to get rid of you for free.” “Ouch!”

You join his volleyball practices once in a while. Seeing him and Daichi full on parent mode is fun. So being the good friend you are, you take on the role of Vodka Aunt. Encouraging Noya, Tanaka and Hinata to do whatever dumb idea they had? Done! Joining in on Tsukki with insults? Check! Daichi kicking you out of the gym? Been there, done that!

Though on some occasions, you’ll be a full on mama bird with Suga.  Asahi is thinking too much again? It’s time to kick some sense into him, with heavy scolding and shaking your finger at him a bit too much. When the beloved trouble kids cause a ruckus or Tsukki is being petty, you two will unleash on them together. They have second guesses about some of their actions after that... Once or twice you did the “Shia Lebauf Just Do It” speech for a morale boost for your adopted vbc kids but that’s a secret between them and you. 

Nishinoya Yuu:

one word: chaos

How did you two become friends? Honestly, you two have no idea. It just happened one day the same way birds fly and flowers bloom, it was meant to happen.

He received endless banter when the team saw the two of you walking as you talk. “Nishinoya?? Talking to someone without bouncing around??? What are the odds?”

“Nishinoya actually has a friend of the opposite sex? Are we sure he’s not paying some girl to fool us?” OR “That must be some volleyball player we haven’t heard of before or didn’t notice at the interhighs... Right? “He has friends besides this team? Not likely, must be a trick of the light” Tsukki says this probably.

Being friends with Noya means meeting Tanaka and soon enough becoming friends with him too. With the three of you, there are two possibilities: You all hype each other up until Daichi steps in and ends this madness. OR you taking on the “responsible one” role and trying your best to stop them from causing a problem.

Pranks. Pranks on people or each other. It’s always a mess but worth going through every single time. It’s snowing? You’ll make lots of snowballs, find a good hiding place near a popular street and throw them at random people passing by. Kids usually throw snowballs back at you and soon after starts a ruthless snowball fight. When they leave or during the fight, you two may betray one another but it’s okay at the end of the day.

Every day is an exhausting day with Noya, physically. Your energy dies out by the end of the day but your emotional state? Always in high spirits. If you have something on your mind bothering you, he’ll bring in a much invited and needed distraction to help you feel better.

Hanging out without a plan. The most you decide on is the date and the hour, you plan the rest as time goes: First the where then the what to do. You visited an amusement park together and tried out as many rides as you could at some point. You two also try to win each other those giant stuffed animals.

Being friends with him is one thing but seeing him in game is a whole another experince. You decide to surprise him by going to one of his matches but seeing them play, seeing him play and lifting everyone’s spirits is truly mesmerizing. Once you’re back to your senses, you cheer as loudly as you can for him. There’s no need to say how happy he is to see you there cheering for him and the people he consider a family.

the youngest child of ted and elaine mccarrick, wes was a kid who is full of life. she’s the kind of kid who did things to make you smile, and it usually worked. she was warm and inviting, a little naive, but she had a strong support system.

her parents divorce when she’s six, she doesn’t quite understand it but her dad moves out, and her grandma and multiple cousins move in. it’s a lively household, between her mom, who works as a nurse, and her siblings, and her cousins, it was never really quiet and there was never a lot of room.

despite the split, her parents maintain that their children have a relationship with both of them, and truthfully, wes is a daddy’s girl. she and her dad were cut from the same cloth, happy go lucky, fun loving, a bit silly, he’s the one who introduces her to movies. it’s their thing, watching and critiquing them together, and it’s not whatever is in theatres either. they went for all times of filmmaking, new wave, surrealist, and more.

it really stuck with wes, who herself had begun making movies, mostly horror/fantasy/scifi stuff with her friends-- she writes and directs and occasionally, she’ll don a costume and star in them. they’re silly little things, but her family always sat down for her “premieres.”

her formative years are marked with plenty of things, sports, deaths of distant family members, a cousin or two who gets caught in the wrong crowd and ends up in jail, and throughout this, wes remains a rock for her family.

she’s in high school, and she gets into the eclectic crowd, the outcasts, the weirdos, the ones who smoked under the bridge, and partied out in an abandoned trailer near the desert. these freaks were her freaks. they accepted her with open arms, as she them.  

she chooses thales because she always wants to see the east coast, and frankly, as much as she loves her family, she wants to be free of them. and they have a fantastic film program. so!

she meets steven in their first film class together, and they’re fast friends, despite her usual weariness of YET another film bro, steven proves to be a good egg. so she thinks. she finds out through him talking that he might not be the most faithful to his girlfriend, and as much as she doesn’t like meddling, she thinks it’s only right to let clarissa, who she doesn’t really know well, know. however, before there’s a chance, everything happens-- now she’s stuck wondering if she should reveal the truth, or let sleeping dogs lie.

nana is different, nana and her dated her sophomore year, nana’s freshman year. it wasn’t serious. but they were fond of each other. they eventually break up, but they stay friendly, waving to each other in the halls, chatting at parties.

both the disappearance and the murder is weird for wes, who by all accounts, isn’t great at dealing with bad shit. she prefers to laugh about things. laugh about everything. because if she doesn’t laugh, she’ll cry.

wes is a mess, a free-spirit, a walking contradiction. she’s very independent minded, the kind of person who does things without thinking so much about the consequences, this leads her into trouble sometimes. like nicking something from a convenience store, or stealing a stop sign as a prank. she’s definitely the kind to goof off and not exactly dedicate her full attention to something. and while she’s in genuinely good spirits on most occasions, she has a staunch ‘no asshole’ policy. the type to defend the underdogs, and go after bullies. she’ll punch you with a smile on her face, and yet it ends up being more unnerving than you realize. she’s a bit of a ditz, as well, never the best at school, but can talk your ear off about the going ons of the world. she’s a lovable dumbass, for sure, and loyal to a tee once you get her as a friend.

- okay well fiRST of all my mans Logan is essentially your soulmate

- there are just so many things that you share in common and traits that compliment each other that its hard to deny that you were technically made for each other

- for instance, your personalities may seem like the polar opposite on the surface, but deep down you really do fit each other like puzzle pieces. Logan is mostly an introvert himself and tends to stress over things a lot, even though he never really makes it obvious. your bubbly and warm attitude makes him feel more generally talkative somehow, and your teasing is always met back with an equally snarky response

- and he also kinda likes that you can take things less seriously (he takes things WAY too seriously sometimes- not even blowing things out of proportion just considering them more lethal than they actually are under the guise of assuming a larger threat beneath the surface) usually he’ll actively seek you out when he needs to release streets. not to vent or talk abut himself since he adamantly refuses to do that, but just because being around you feels like things arent really all that bad.that he doesnt need to worry so much

- your affectionate nature is also great! you see, Logan never really displays affection because he doesnt really crave it all that much and ALSO doesnt like feeling that vulernarble around people he doesnt trust, but you’re one of the few exceptions he’ll allow to that strict “No Touching” rule

- he probably craves and outwardly pursues the most affection out of the two dudes listed here, but he always feels like its an honor to even touch you and will NOT do so without asking first cause hes Baby™ and respects boundaries

- in return though he has a bunch of boundaries himself. ptsd has caused him to be a bit socially awkward amongst other things, and so he might need you to take the lead in social interactions when you do go out to talk to other people he might not know. thank god you’re both introverted, being out with others all the time makes him really anxious

- your empathetic nature helps him feel more secure since yknow, he kinda stumbles over his words when trying to explain what hes thinking since his thoughts tend to be erratic and jumbles sometimes. he like the feeling of not having to explain incorrectly and usually just silently holds your hand or lays on your lap when hes feeling bad

I do have a habit of like. Going through other peoples blogs if they get recommended to me for two reasons

1) I know the character and really like the character so i NYOOM

or, mostly.

2) they seem to have similar aesthetics and musings I can go scroll through their blog and go to the sources of each post and yoink

But honestly when I DO do number 2 I tend to usually read a lot of whatever is on the blog and there’s been blogs I actually would go and check in on and like. See what they’re up to. How you doing fam you doing cool?? Cool. Dont mind me just passing through

I tend to blog hop a lot, meaning when I go on one blog I go to another they write with and see their stuff and then move to another and it’s just.. interesting!

I love peaking into other RPCs and seeing the bonds people have and seeing best friends write and how well their muses mesh and the memes they have and the jokes and fun ooc posts and crack posts and stuff..

I did this a lot with the SU rpc and Disney RPC, and a lil’ bit with the JJBA rpc

Do you have any tips or pieces of advice for someone who's looking to start up an rp blog for a character? I have plenty of experience roleplaying, but none of it is with tumblr.

//OH sure sure !! 

lets get the technical stuff out first, make the account for your new blog in advance, before you prepare anything else because tumblr has this anti-bots security system in place which doesnt allow new blog’s posts to show up in the tags (and tags such as #indie rp, #anime rp, #insert show here rp are pretty important in getting ur blog out there). you’ll also have to follow some people, get followed back by at least one, reblog+like some posts before your stuff starts showing up in the tags

of course u can disregard the whole promotion thing and just follow people and wait for them to follow you back, but if u want new people to find you without you actively looking for them, its good to drop something in the rp tag. but again, you dont have to do any of this.

so heres stuff you can prepare (or not, its totally up to you !!)

icons - a relict of dreamwidth era , not necessary but i find that they add some zest to the interactions so personally, im a fan. usually 100px x 100px u can make them fancy or not, your choice. just get some basic facial expressions (but again, you dont NEED them)

themes - some rpers pay a lot of attention to blog themes, i used to be like that but tbh rn i dont think anything beats a nice basic theme w/ a readable font. hit up theme hunter and snag a theme u like !!! OR DON’T, thats totally up to you !!! 

also you can set your blog to dash only in the blog’s settings which means u dont have to bother w/ a theme !! its a popular thing in rpc nowadays !!!

oh and just a hint – id avoid using somebody’s art for icons or elements of theme… i mean sure u can credit them but hardly anybody looks at credits so idk id just avoid it altogether cuz the artists dont like that and theyre absolutely right. i used to use peoples art for icons and i had some artists reach out to me and ask that i dont do that and tbh now i cringe at my past-self for not seeing that its soo disrespectful of the artists

what to put on blog: 

about page - its a page where rpers put some basic information about the character they write as. it can be super important if youre writing as an OC (not many people will follow an OC if they dont know anything about them tbh) !!! if youre writing a canon character u can just resort to filling out a basic dossier (like listing their name, age, whatever… YOU CAN USE THIS and fill out what u like). or you know, do whatever. on cell, i just wrote a piece of Something and linked his wikipedia page lol. do what you feel like, its just a thing in rp community. 

rules page - slightly more important. this is where you set boundaries and introduce yourself ooc. after introductions ur expected to tell people what’s NOT ok by you, for example, you say that godmodding is not ok (godmodding is when people write in their own responses what ur character is doing), maybe shipping is not ok by you, maybe u dont want to write smut ever etc. you put all of that there and any additional info you feel the need to add (for example, asking people to tag certain triggers etc). try to browse other peoples rules pages to get the feel 

verses page - some blogs have a lot of specific verses like idk, an AU in which ur character is evil etc. this is a page where u can put them and add descriptions, UP TO YOU. i find that its less important than about or rules page, focus on those 2 first, especially the rules page bc its what people usually check out first before writing with u!! add verses later !!!

how to start an rp blog: 

OK so lets say you’re prepared and ready to write. i usually post a promo to announce my Arrival to the rp market. take a look at what’s in the indie rp tag for example, just to give you an idea what ppl post there. it used to be REQUIRED to post like… a graphic advertising ur blog but tbh these days u can just drop a text post (preferably with ur icon so that people know which character u write) and you say smth like ‘HELLO, a new (character here) RP blog here!!! like/reblog if youre interested in writing with me!!’ (ofc write whats natural to you, just introduce ur blog in whatever way u feel like it– OR DONT, YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THIS)

BEFORE POSTING A PROMO MAKE SURE YOUR POSTS SHOW UP IN TAGS FIRST. YOU MIGHT HAVE TO FOLLOW SOME PEOPLE FIRST (refer to this) – where to find those rp blogs?? refer to tags below.

what to tag your promo with: remember that only 5 first tags will show up in the search results. so pick some good tags, i think the most important tag is #(show/movie/books name) rp. heres my promo, u can check the tags i used there and come up with your own accordingly. and also browse these tags to find people to follow, like idk, lets say u wanna rp sb from naruto, then u hit up #naruto rp and just scroll and follow ! also avoid using swear words or nsfw words in ur promo bc tumblr will censor it lol

but remember YOU DONT HAVE TO POST A PROMO, THIS IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU !!!!!

how to start WRITING on an rp blog:

ok so youve gathered some followers, now what. i usually just post a starter call! this is a post that people who want to write with you will like and you in turn will start a thread with them (doesnt have to be IMMEDIATELY, take ur time). you can also reblog rp memes which are like writing prompts people send to you (but i dont recommend starting ur rp blog w/ a memes barrage, people usually want to get to know your blog a little bit more before they send you a prompt). 

you can also wait for other people to post starter calls and then you like them (but check their rules first !!! for example, most people have a rule about being mutuals only, which means they will write you something only if youre following each other back), which also works. 

AND THATS HOW IT GOES !!! you are now writing on an rp blog. remember to take it easy and do what feels natural !!! browse some other rp blogs to get Inspired (but dont just lift things, stealing is a big no-no in the community). do what you feel comfortable with, if you dont want to make icons then dont! you’ll always find somebody who’ll write with you without icons (we just rly like them lol). be patient with others and yourself, read peoples rules, be nice, dont reblog an rp meme without sending a prompt to the person youre reblogging from (thats called reblog karma, if you dont wanna send a prompt then rb from the source), put yourself out there and UHH have fun !

I don't know the rules and which bias you’re supposed to talk about but my first ever bias out of everyone was Vernon! So I thought I'd talk about him, my #1, the love of my life.

Who is your bias: Vernon 💕

What made you notice them: Svt was the first group I've really been a fan of, kpop wise. My friend showed me Adore U and Mansae back in 2015 and she pointed out Vernon to me first. I remember seeing him in his long brown hair and bandana and I said: "heck, he's adorable and now Im trapped."

what's your favorite thing about them: My go-to answer would be all of him, as he's quite literally one of my favorite people to ever exist (🙁💕) But the one thing that sticks out is his open-mindedness and perspective on the world. I feel like he's aware of society's faults and where people could improve. To me, he would also be very willing to learn more about the plights of people with different experiences from the ones he's had. I think he would be like that when it comes to anything, really, which is why I think he's very open-minded. He's up for new experiences and challenges, and would be down to learn about anything and everything.

who would initiate skinship more:   (Oh boy, I'm getting soft) I think it would definitely be me, Vernon doesn't strike me as a very physically affectionate person. But I ❤love❤ physical contact, hand holding, hugging, etc. So I feel like I'd be the one leading that department.

who would hog the blankets more:   I know for a fact that I am the most lifeless sleeper in the world. I dont move at all or make any noise what so ever BUT I do love sleeping all cosy and stuff so I just might take a little bit extra from his side.

who would be more clingy:    Im not a clingy person, I do like affection but I wouldnt describe it as clinginess. But I feel like I would miss being around him easier than he would miss being around me, if that makes sense? I'd probably start feeling it in like a week of not seeing him but he probably wont until a little afterwards.

who would say I love you first:     I think I have a lot of love and affection to give, so maybe me? BUT relationships also scare the living fuck out of me, so I'd very much be terrified, which would lead me to possibly not saying anything for a long time. I also think that he's the kind of person where saying I love you is a really big deal, like he really really needs to build that relationship and trust first before anything, so that would delay it for a while too. But I'd probably crack first to be very honest.

who would be more easily flustered:    Oh Christ, I feel like the both of us?? Vernon's ridiculously awkward and so am I. So I think we would make each other flustered and probably joke about it afterwards 😌

What cuddling position would you two have:   You can never go wrong with a good ol' spooning. Im super willing to be either big or little spoon so I dont mind, though I think he might prefer big spoon. I would also not mind him laying on me to be honest? Like on my chest, while I play with his hair. Also, technically not a cuddling position, but I love when people put their head on my lap! Like aw :( thank you for trusting me with your noggin.

which colors remind you of them and why:   One of the things that attract me the most about Vernon is his seemingly calm energy. Simply put, he seems like a super chill guy and I, the Queen of overthinking/anxiety, really need that opposite in my life. This makes me associate him with colors that are calming to me such as: light blue, white, forest green, soft grey, etc.

which season would you like to spend with them:   Literally all of them, my whole life’s worth of seasons. Heck, even my afterlife. But I feel like my favorite would be summer. To me, Vernon feels like the best friend you'd fall in love with and what better season to spend with your best friend than summer, where you're free to make all the memories you want? I think we would do a lot of hanging out in backyards, going to arcades, catching up on some webtoons in the middle of the day while eating some ice cream, or movie nights where we spend time in a fort that took us like 2 hours to make because my perfectionist Virgo mind couldn't get over the pillows being positioned a certain way or something, exploring the city or going to a completely different place we've never been to, outside of the city. I would also take him to all of my family bbqs in Connecticut, where I can teach him how to dance bachata as my mom and tias marvel at the fact that he's at least trying.

who would bake cookies and who would steal the batter:  I think it would be something we do together after spending a few hours at one of our houses. Eventually, it's gonna be baking time. I would mix everything, while he takes little bits out of the bowl cause we know he's usually the type to eat ANYTHING first and then when I try to scold him about salmonella he giggles and offers me some. I, weak and fragile for the boy, accept his offer and pretend to be mad about it.

which one of you would make bad puns and how would the other react: LISTEN, half of my humor is made of puns. Now, Vernon is either the King of Reactions or the King of Barely Having a Reaction. I feel like if it was a good one he'd laugh with that silly ass laugh of his and high five me but if it kinda sucked he'd probs chuckle at me with a disapproving look on his face tbh.

which one of you would nearly burn down the kitchen trying to microwave a poptart and who come to the rescue:    V E R N O N. Definitely, Vernon. And then I would run in there, with my heart beating out of my chest because for fuck'sake Vernon, our lease isn't even up yet and you almost burned the place to ashes.

who likes to lean over tall railings and who pulls them back:   I love, love, LOVE high places, so I would lean first. He'd then come over and lean with me but he'd pull away first and would have to drag me away too ://

what would you watching a horror film with them be like:   I love watching horror movies for the simple fact that I find them hilarious and usually laugh throughout the entire thing. At first, I think he'd be like?? why are you laughing?? someone's literally being dragged down to hell in front of us and you're giggling about it? But after he gets used to it, I feel like we'd make really good commentary that leaves us in giggle fits most of the time. Unless he's really really immersed, I wouldnt wanna disrupt something he really likes.

who would be the cheesy flirt and who would be the smooth flirt:   I cant flirt for the life of me, I literally dont know, I cant function. I feel like if I tried I'd definitely be cheesy though. As for Vernon, he's also super awkward as I said, so he'd jokingly try to be smooth but it just ends up being cheesy and really funny.

who is more competitive:    I dont associate Vernon with competitiveness at all, he seems like he's just in it to have a good time, with good people. I'm like that too for the most part. But if we're talking Uno, Scrabble, Jeopardy, or Kahoot, Im tearing him a new one.

who would have to be given constant reminders:   I feel like we'd remind each other of things but I would remind him to do simpler things like tidy up the room, or that it's his turn to do the dishes and where the keys are. Whereas, I think he'd have to remind me of things that I forget when I get too caught up in my head like eating properly, sleeping well, and knowing when to stop and enjoy my life.

who sends memes and who sends cute Im miss you text at 3 am:   We both send memes, are you kidding. That'll be most of our chat history, I'd have a whole folder just dedicated to ones I can use in conversation with him. I feel like I'd send the 3 am I miss you texts a lot more often, cause not only am I a super emo cancer moon but I get extra affectionate after like 1 am for WHATEVER reason. Though, I think he'd surprise me with one out of blue because I sure as hell wasnt expecting that from him. But I also think he'd find other ways of showing you he misses you without saying it. He seems like the type where you need to learn how he shows his love through his actions because he wont really do it with words.

And that's the end of that! I rambled so much I'm so so so sorry but I love Vernon with my whole heart and could ramble about him for hours.
