This literally confirms my Midnight in Paris theory (that the amazing @chickawah23 also had) where “golden thinking/notebook” refers to being trapped in nostalgia and not being able to stop writing abt the past and using these things as a form of escapism. This means the alcott is definitely not abt Matt and is abt Taylor (which isn’t really a shocker). I just can’t believe how well it all fits. Not to mention the connection to the 7th pumpkin message and to the other lyrics that mention gardens (betty’s garden, your wife waters flowers I wanna kill her)

I am going to do the most elaborate piece of artwork possible for the Theatre Play Inktobertale prompt, here's the plan:

Math class has a side series of projects, the STEAM projects: Science, Technology, E....something, Art and Maths.

For that series of projects, the teacher has asked us to find or design a logo thingy to then put on a wooden board using a laser.

Long post: A theory about the Paldea Region

So the lore in pokemon scarlet and violet have been really intresting.

LATE GAME SPOILERS AHEAD!

(Disclaimer: None of the Images used within this post are my own and are taken from other peoples gameplay).

the most mysterious place in Paldea is Area Zero and the lore around it is quite strange. In the games History classes, it's explained that a explorer named Heath went into Area Zero during a expedition 200 years ago. And during this expedition they found Paradox pokemon, however the game claims that the paradox pokemon is the result of Professor Sada/Turo's time machine in the present.

How is this possible?

What even is Area Zero?

There is no clear information yet, but I have some ideas about how Area Zero works that is interesting to think about.

Idea 1: Area Zero is unaffected by linear time.

If Area Zero is unaffected by time it might explain how paradox pokemon existed before the time machine. Area Zero could be a area with natural time compression.

In other words, Past, Present and Future could exist simultaneously.

This would mean that Pokemon that existed in the past or will exist in the future would exist in all points in time within Area Zero. So a Pokemon from the ancient past within Area Zero would naturally exist within Area Zero present, the same could be said for Pokemon in the distant future.

The evidence that could support this is certain strange symbols found in Area Zero. Both these symbols are very distinct and quite strange.

I have no idea what they really mean in the grand scheme of things. But the first one look quite modern, kinda like something you would find outside a research facility. While the second one looks like ancient markings. The Scarlet and Violet book seems to share this interpretation.

I think it is possible that these two symbols was made during different time periods, one from the future and one from the past, and that it is Area Zeros time compression caused both to appear within the area in present time.

Other evidence to support this is the Terra crystals. The game mentions how the energy within crystals can power very advanced machinery. The time machine is powered by Terra crystals so it isn't impossible that the crystals power could have the ability manipulate time on their own if there is a large quantity in the same area.

If this is true then that would make sense of the fact that Heath saw paradox Pokemon before the time machine was built. Either the Pokemon grabbed by the time machine was seen in the past or the Pokemon that lived within Area Zeros during the ancient past or distant future became visible in the present due to natural time compression.

Idea 2: Area Zero can be influenced by imagination and dreams.

The information that could suggest this is quite vauge so far and might be further explored in potential DLC.

These sketches can be found within the Scarlet and Violet books respectively. They depict what the expeditions artist imagined the Pokemon in Area Zero might look like. These sketches are very detailed and I think its very likely that these Pokemon, or similar looking ones, could be encountered in future DLC.

If these pokemon do exist, that would either mean that the sketch artist was incredibly accurate by pure chance or that Area Zero got influenced by the artists creation and these pokemon became part of Area zero later down the line.

we gotta wait for future DLC to verify this idea.

Idea 3: Area Zero can influence people.

This idea brings the other 2 together and may be a really big piece of this puzzle.

Within the Scarlet and Violet books, the author speculates that their is either some form of creature or guardian within the depths of Area Zero. There are further hints to the idea of a Pokemon being connected to Area Zero.

There is clearly a entity or Pokemon that is the origin of the Terra crystals and the Terastallizing phenomenon. There is also further information within the Scarlet and Violet book.

This entry is interesting. Heath spoke with someone in a dreamlike space and awoke with a page he had no memory of writing. The sketch on the page depict Hexagons and what looks like to be a Terra Shard. This may have some connection with Sada or Turo's time machine.

The time machine is built with Hexagon shapes and the crystals on the wall is also similar in this regard. The door to Sada or Turo's lab is also a Hexagon. The Hexagon shape is very much connected to this entity within Area Zero, but this brings up a very important question. If Heath was influenced by this entity or Pokemon to create the page.

Could Sada and Turo have been influenced to build the time machine?

This idea could clear up certain parts of the story. Like why Sada or Turo was so obsessed with protecting the time machine and why their AI copy could't understand their logic. Because their motive to build the time machine wasn't purely their own, it was something else influencing them within Area Zero.

I do not think it was a full on possession, more that the entity could have subtly influenced the professors to build the machine, or it merely amplified their desire to the point of obsession.

This leads me to my final point that will attempt to connect all these other points together.

The Theory: Area Zero and all of Paldea is a Pokemon.

With all this other information in mind, I believe the entire region is a pokemon. It could also explain a lot of the strange things within Area Zero.

This Pokemon through its Hexagonial shell and it being the origin of terra crystals clearly indicate this Pokemon has a strong connection with time. This could explain the time compression as a power the Pokemon naturally have. The fact that the Terra crystals can be used as a power source to manipulate time does indicate that this Pokemon would have a strong connection to the past and/or future.

This might also explain the possibility of mind manipulation and the possible influence dreams have within Area Zero. I think that Area Zero is either the Pokemon's dream, memories or it's soul made into a physical space. This could also be an alternative explanation about the paradox pokemon, being memories manifested by this creature that could possible be aware of all points in time all at once.

If the expedition artists imagined paradox Pokemon exist, then it could point to this being the case.

I also want to look into this entry.

While Heath was separated from the research team he came into contact with a strange entity. The picture seems to depict a turtle swimming around, what looks like a planet, with a crown on top of its shell. The shell is also made of Hexagons. Its clear that this creature is the same one mentioned earlier.

What I find fascinating is the crown on top of its shell, right in the middle.

A Crown right in the middle A Crown in the middle...What else is in the middle of something?

THE GREAT CRATER OF PALDEA!

Another thing that makes this possible is the hexagonial shapes below the crown in the previous image. Hexagon shapes are connected with Terra crystals. I think that Area Zero is part of the Turtle Pokemon mind and soul inside the It's body!

If Area Zero is the mind then all of Paldea is the body! The Region itself might be the Pokemon!

The Region has a shape that can be seen as a turtle! The head is clearly at the bottom left and the tail is what connects the region to Kalos and the other parts of Paldea is the shell! It is also possible to see small legs in the corners of the region!

The size could be the result of herba mysitca, because the herbs was first found in Area Zero and later brought up to the surface. The Pokemon that eat them become Titan Pokemon.

The Region itself might be a huge Titan Pokemon!

TL:DR: The Paldea Region might be a Turtle Pokemon and Area Zero is part of its mind that can influence and be influenced by people's thoughts. This Pokemon might have very powerful time manipulation, giving it access to the ancient past and/or distant future. May be a really huge Titan Pokemon.
