we moved in too late in the season to make the most of the plum harvest (though I did manage to use a few for sour plum sauce), but we DID move in just in time for FIGS!!

#there are many more left ripening on the tree #and the next harvest after that will be black walnuts #i'm really happy there are so many edible plants already in the yard #i found a random fence post that will make a great tomato stake #haven't put it up yet though because the last time i tried a yellowjacket got very interested in it #i have very strong willpower around buzzing insects but this one tested me #it landed on my LEG #i stood really still until it moved a little bit away and then i went back inside lol #i am friends to all bugs of this world but even i have my limits #picture journal
