long story short, we found these two kittens at the bottom of a garbage can!! I don't like to think about how they ended up in there- but we heard them crying while on a walk, and it's very lucky they were so loud! They were scared at first, but now they NEED to be snuggled at all times. Crazy how adaptable kittens are. I'd prefer to rehome them as a pair, but I'd consider adopting them out individually if that's my only option! elaborating on the romance meme actually bc i think a lot about twitch being kinda terrible but in a way that's really hard to explain

twitch is a weird case of someone who sucks & is selfish, but isn't mean. they have no reason to be! they're interested in people, and learning more about their secrets them & being cruel wouldn't help with that--being friendly has always worked better for them. generally, they will be! they're fun to be around, if you can handle the chaos of it all.

their problem is that they don't have the memories, to build conclusions or a moral code from-just blurry scattered memories that they're trying to pretend are their own. they have no decades of "well when i did this before, it had This consequence" built up to reference from.

trying to make big decisions is like playing 4d chess in their own brain bc everything clashes with eachother--it's hard, it makes them feel weird, & they hate it. something will always feel wrong, it can never line up with everything in their head.

but they Do know that doing things they want to do is very easy, very simple, & has good results (for them) everytime. if it's interesting, they'll pursue it relentlessly. if it's not? they're gone! simple. no considering consequences or feelings, just do whatever they want to do, the second it occurs to them, collateral damage be damned. even if that collateral damage is other people--sometimes they're in the way!

but this extends to relationships too--they only want to be around people they're curious about, and it's impossible for one single person to be the most interesting thing forever. they'll disappear off to zee, again, when something catches their interest. the problems really arise when they're still curious about someone, and that person starts to return the interest--and, god forbid, wants to know them at a deeper level. maybe even talk about emotions, or hang out without a crazy goal to achieve. oh, god.

then there's decisions for them to make--and that's hard, it makes them feel weird, & they hate it. maybe it'd be easier to disappear off to zee again?

No but actually coming from someone with fine wavy/curly hair who had some hair loss and lots of issue I really and truly wish I could sit down and talk with Chan because he really needs someone who understands curly hair to get him some products and show him what to do and he also needs to stop using heat. Like no straightening. No hair drying. Or at least very sparsely.

#like i think the reason it makes me so Eye twitch is bc I've been in a very similar spot #i get it. i loved straightening my hair loved colouring it too #but i didnt colour or straighten it for a good long while and it did help #didnt cure me! but it did help. #and my hair got back to the spot where i could colour it again without as much issue #and mind you i do sometimes curl my hair or blow dry it for special occasions like im not a be all end all never do anything to it again #person. honestly thats why so many methods and stuff always put me off bc they were so dramatically like NEVER DO A SINGLE FUN THING AGAIN #but with him it'd be interesting to see 6 months with no colouring (including black! black is better than bleach but it still damages!) #and especially no straightening/blow drying etc. #i think that would really help determine if those are the things causing trouble or if its something else #bc hormones and stuff can also do it #like at the end of the day i think hes lovely but its p clear his hair is something that bothers him and idk #i would like to see him get to the point where it isnt as much of an issue #also still ascertain he'd look good with it short but thats just me #anyway Woah long tangent Sorry #its all said with love #also he doesnt have super tight curls like my dad had Tight curls #but his are def more soft/loose so thats a factor too

waking up from.a frightening dream at 4am in which a scary book was central which in the dream (could sort of tell I was dreaming on one level) I thoroughly believed was a real book that had been brought up the other day irl & that my dreaming mind was riffing off of bc I had not read yet. but having woken up. I'm not entirely convinced this is the case. and now I'm kind of scared to look it up tbh bc what's worse that it doesn't exist but I've dreamed about it several different nights & it's broken down my dream/reality conscious barrier (& I might dream it again??? this does happen to me) or that it does & I have to live in a world where it exists & I could read it.

#seriously considering just not sleeping any more & just getting up now at 4am now lol. i don't want to go back to sleep #thoughts #tbc in the dream the book was just a horror type deal it wasn't actually like. powerful. beyond the way it warped my 'levels' of reality #which ngl has shaken me bc i can usually tell well enough if I'm dreaming even if I can't act on it #so some sort of scary narrative/reality breakdown here #<- sorry for the distracted rambling I'm still half asleep & twitching at weird sounds. i will feel better shortly though i usually do #the last time this happened i was in high school & having a dream i could tell i was dreaming in & then 'woke up' & rolled over to find a #perfect representation of my room except the lady from my dream was standing in the middle of it facing away from me oddly still. & then #when i woke up for real I couldn't make myself turn over for like an hour i was so distressed abt what I'd see but also more importantly #that i didn't know/couldn't reliably trll if i was dreaming or not. terrifying prospect tbh #also like i DO have dreams with sequrls/repeats/returns sometimes even years later & 'remember' the last one. nightmares included. #which i hate btw

my hot take of the night is that survivors is an infinitely better series than warriors

#there's SO many reasons i say this and it starts with the fact that survivors isn't nearly as misogynistic and ableist as warriors is #disabled characters like twitch actually get a fucking chance to do something instead of turning into med cat fodder #and not every single female character is forced to be with a man #there's like. sweet bella and moon. and that's it #and they don't lose their entire fucking personality the moment they're with a dude #like bella still fucking slayed in the second arc #i think warriors has more creativity put into it but overall it's just written so clumsily and there's just. so much bad stuff there #and survivors just feels so much less cluttered and so much better written #on the downside though survivors has gillian philip :/ #voice of starlight

I've been inching my way though the UK game show TASKMASTER and wondering how well a COMPLETELY live twitch show could work (excluding prerecorded tasks of course!).

Twitch streamers are already fiercely competitive, used to embarrassment, and have little human dignity left so I think they would be prime candidates to be subjected to tasks!! You could probably bring in youtubers and tiktokers in there too I guess

Think about it! A five night special event live on twitch! With a live audience and twitch audience participation! Sure it would probably be bad and clunky and realistically I'll probably despise some of the contestants but I think it could be fun!!

But would I rather see Jerma985 as the taskmaster or a contestant is the question....

#This is brought up about me thinking how an american taskmaster couldve been done better #I think most people agree that it was just poor casting and cutting the episode time that made the american version bad #if they fixed those two things it would probably work fine. #but thinking about where I get most of my comedy from and where I assume most of my peers get their comedy from... #its the internet. it's twitch and youtube and tiktok #there's still a stand up comedy circuit in the U.S. of course but I'm not paying attention to it and I want to see MY favorite funnymen #However...
