☉ Sun in houses ☉

Sun sort of magnifies the house it falls in so yeah a post about our dear sun.

These post are general and won't resonate 100% because we have to consider other aspects too.

☉ Sun in 1st ☉

Now I have seen that sun in 1st people may come off as leo rising. These people are very optimistic. These people tend to get recognized for their creativity and self expression. The main motive of their life is self expression and inspiring people. These people can become narcissistic too but we'll look into that later. Their self of sense is their physical body and how they show themselves to people and most of the time these people are very well dressed and may sometimes overdressed. They want to appear best at all times. Very confident individuals and won't even second guess themselves. They might come off as too strong or too confident. Another thing I have noticed is that sun in 1st house people usually think that they are main character and everybody in their life is just a side character. Though they like to helpothers and care for them but mostly they would try to give them what they think is right for them not what the other person needs. Something like "I think you deserve this so I'm giving you this not matter if you want it or not ".

This placement is something to thrive for. This is also a popularity placement . One more thing about them is that these people can't work under anyone . They HATE it when someone gives them orders or nags them. So the thing here is that these people will have to do something that makes them the boss. Also no matter what they do they'll always succeed in that. Small tidbits about my Still Into You 2ha animatic

Coz it's April, exactly one year from now was when I started completing it and I'm in the mood now. + I don't think I made a proper one + it won the twitter poll

Check it out if you're interested... or not! I just want to dump my thoughts and fun facts that I thought of while making this.

To preface this, check them out if you haven't seen it yet: (Still Into You & Please Don't Leave Me)

If you've been hanging around my blog for a while, it's kinda evident that I did post a promo post for Still Into You back in January 2023. And that first part does have an in-depth explanation about what it covers (which is from the start to the first chorus).

If you're wondering why: TL;DR I can't work on An Act of Kindness coz I was back home from school for vacation and I thought of the idea during a trip.

Anyway, I ramble. Time to get to the actual discussion.

(spoilers!!) The Actual Discussion

Making the rest of Still Into You, unlike Mo Ran's feelings for CWN, was actually just straightforward. I already knew that it'd cover the rest of the book, given that I intentionally focused heavily on book 1 while making part 1.

Like part 1, part 2 was that type of animatic that just naturally flowed during the storyboarding and rough sketch process. The whole animatic is divided into three phases which covers the following: Book 1, Book 2 and 3, and lastly the Epilogue.

Book 1 I've already discussed in an earlier post here but I did find this interesting tidbit I wrote to my cousin:

Anyways the discussion:

Yeah I really wish I have a funny image to put here. I'm really enjoying looking back at my stuff and seeing my initial plans though.

Order at which I made each part.

One thing of note (and actually a common oversight I experience while doing storyboards coz I don't do timings) was that I storyboarded the frames when the vocals started and forgot the timings in between.

So I kinda had to fill the parts between part 1 and 2 last-ish? (don't really remember the proper timings).

Oh, oh! And another fun fact:

Still Into You Part 2 (Rough Draft)

Part 2 was initially done on my tablet in CSP so there's a whole different and rougher version of it. (pls lower the volume if you're wearing earphones)

Funnily enough, this took me like one sitting to finish and a whole lot of sessions to clean up. I do like this process though given that, around the time I drew this, I started leaning heavily into animation and prioritizing getting my thoughts across without care for cleanliness. (Something I felt held me back too much while making Please Don't Leave Me).

In fact, there are some obvious frames that I didn't really bother polishing up (mostly because they're too hard for me or they just flash by quickly). A glaring example is this frame from the third part:

Another fun fact about the scene where TXJ shows CWN the plant he's been raising is it's actually inspired off of a doodle I made for someone in the Two Lifetimes CSE back in April 16 2023.

I just really think that it's super adorable for them. Mo Ran in the the epilogue section alternates between TXJ and 2.0.

Aside from the plant, TXJ also appears in this frame which is inspired from one of the extras. Another silly intentional decision I did is to have him pour alcohol onto a cup and drink from the bottle.

The one on the left is also from (you guessed it) an extra! It's based from an offhand mention that CWN makes in one of them. (Let me know what your guesses are haha)

I kinda just jumped into the 3rd half of the song, huh? I hope my ramblings aren't too much! I just wanna let it flow naturally.

Returning to the topic of the storyboard, I really only had a rough idea of what I wanted for the 3rd half. The references to the extras and even Goutou's appearance just came when I was already putting it into frame. Like, this was what I initially had in mind for the 2nd chorus to the end.

I think one of the notable differences is that I initially planned on doing the half MR half CWN screen transition the same way i did with chorus 1 and 2 but decided against it. In retrospect, I think it fits a lot because both aren't divided anymore.

Something about the second verse + chorus of the song

Like in chorus 1 and chorus 3, this section of the song takes on a darker tone since it covers book 2 going into book 3. It's a lot to talk about so I'm gonna select a couple that I personally like that's worth mentioning and leave the rest to the viewers to guess.

Also sorry not sorry for those who got spoiled by the animatic lmao.

The confession scene

Another fun fact: The confession scene in Still Into You and Please Don't Leave Me are intentionally connected through the color palette.

It's just that Still Into You takes a dump at how it treats it. Yes, the stick figures are intentional. It adds to the funny and tbh Still Into You really is just a feel good animatic. The comedy also serves as a whiplash to the angst hell that is the chorus 🥰.

My Favorite 2ha Moment

Gotta insert my favorite chapter here (ch 184) which I think is one of 2ha's peaks because it resolves CWN's doubts about MR's feelings all this times.

And I'm just soo glad I could incorporate it in an animatic because it's so important to me. AND Like, 'yknow, I think it echoes the song very well because guess what MR tells CWN then?

“It has always been you."

That one frame before the chorus

There's like this moment before the second chorus starts where MR tells CWN something. I wanted it to echo ch 207 where MR felt the pressure of having to reveal that he actually is reborn and has memories of his past life.

If this were animated I'd have had MR match the song and tell CWN "I'm still into you".

Anyways, here's the frame before it zooms in. Physically it's still at ch 207, but I wanted the shadows to imply what happens next which is the chorus.

Other Bonus stuff

Ran out of stuff I wanna gush about so Imma talk about cut content.

XM and the MHX twins are supposed to have more frames (I didn't include it because it felt like it had too much energy)

final thoughts on zapper?

1st world isn't as bad as I remember, 2nd world is rough, 3rd world feels actively mean, 4th world is mostly kind of boring. If child-me had played past world 2 I think I would actively hate video games today.

Sound design is consistently real weird and unpleasant but sometimes that wraps around to being funny

Level design doesn't usually feel very interesting & if you're trying to get all collectibles it sometimes feels tedious. The best bits are the little self-contained bonus rooms & the levels where things are more puzzle-focused. I don't think it really needed a boss fight at the end but I'm glad there was only one, rather than one for each world / each level.

Individual art assets are okay, but sometimes levels are a little hard to parse visually & paths you are allowed to take aren't very clear. Issues with depth perception. Fixed perspective makes it hard to see details on the models I thought were cute. (At least we have Dolphin free camera...)

Visual theming of levels feels really, really incongruent, outside of the first world. I still don't know if I like this or don't. But it sure is noticeable!

The jump button snaps you in weird directions sometimes & every time it makes me scared for my life. It straight up killed me in some of the moving platform segments. Sometimes the jump lets you get to very high platforms and sometimes it makes you jump over them and go into a pit.

Camera's weird. Zoomed in too close, very easy for things to just get you from off-screen. When you have to deal with moving platforms it feels straight up nauseating (& I basically never get motion sick!! This game got me!!)

Music is good.

This Did Not Need A Lives Mechanic. Getting knocked back to a checkpoint feels fine. Having to redo entire levels from the start because of bullshit getting me made me feel like a ghoul.

A lot of hazards have weird hitboxes. Spikes can kill you after retracting. An object can be fully moved past your location but if you move parallel to its trajectory it'll sometimes kill you anyway. Slow-moving enemies in front of you need the world's widest berth. Moving platforms in combination with hazards is a special hell. A couple times I was killed by a seeming act of god.

Mercifully short.

Zapper as a character is like if someone went "what if Gex didn't talk" and that's real funny to me. Also very funny that they gave a cricket lightning powers instead of, like... sonic / music powers. I guess "a wall of noise so loud it kills slugs and explodes bricks" wasn't cool enough for a radical, sardonic wise-guy.(??)

lol the bird has tits

This is just a Frogger game. It's kind of blatant. You can very clearly see the bones of "Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge" in all of it. (The four screenshots I have seen of that game make it seem like its level design was much more easily readable at a glance, though. Four screenshots do not paint the picture of an entire game, but...) Honestly, I can respect the "we have Frogger at home" angle to it. They clearly wanted to make a game like this again, and good(?) on 'em for doing it, I think.

Didn't like it very much. Had a laugh, at least.

It's no "Claymates". (Future scholars will debate what she meant by this for decades.)

Ask game: 9 and 17?

A story from my childhood:

Hmm I've told quite a few good ones on here. I think I've never talked about this one on tumblr before.

When I was in 2nd grade, I had a truly evil teacher. She hit us, scratched us with her nails, came up with cruel games and crueler punishments. She mostly targeted myself, a Korean girl, and the boys (the girl and I were the only poc in the class). When I say truly evil I mean it- she would grab us by the back of the neck with her deliberately sharpened nails and squeeze hard enough to leave marks. One day she did that to a boy with short enough hair that his parents noticed- they called the other parents of the class who checked their kids' necks and found similar marks. She'd always told us that our parents knew about what she was doing and told her it was okay, and that we'd be punished worse for telling anyone because then everyone would know we'd been bad. Surprise: our parents did not know.

ANYWAY that's not the story but rest assured she did get fired for this after all the parents raised a huge stink about this woman.

In 3rd grade my school was aware that they now had a bunch of incredibly traumatized 7-9 year olds who needed some extra help because they'd been terroized for several months, and devised a buddy system with the school's nicest teachers. Mine was my actual 3rd grade teacher and she was such a beautiful and lovely soul.

I spent many weekends working on homework sprawled out on her kitchen floor, eating fruits and sweet treats she made herself, chasing her very fat orange cat around, helping in her garden. She- I feel- embodied what an elementary school teacher should be. Genuinely, I don't think a nicer person exists. I have one particular memory of sitting with her on her patio, me covered in dirt due to whatever garden activities I'd been up to, eating cool watermelon and drinking iced water, asking her a million questions about all the different things I'd learned in class and seen in the garden and heard on the news etc. And her ever-present patient smile as she answered my questions in her own gentle way.

The year after, she went on extended leave due to "a health problem". She never came back during my time at that school. Later, in high school, I was at a Christian camp thing and bumped into her there. She looked like she'd aged about 25 years. I called out to her, and she heard me say her name and told me in a very wobbley and halting voice "I know you were one of mine, but I'm sorry, I can't remember your name. It's the cancer, you see."

She died a few months later. She had brain cancer. I cried when my mom handed me her obituary. I was just talking to my mom about her the other day, how I remembered chasing her cat around during that summer.

The moral of the story is, I guess, that you never know the impact you'll have on someone's life. I don't know if Ms Metzler ever thought that I'd be sitting here thinking of her more than a decade after she passed. Or if she knew just how much she helped me recover from the woman before her. Or if she knew that her garden, her patio, her bright orange cat, and the cool tile of her kitchen floor would make such an impression on me that I still remember them vividly even after a brain injury. She didn't remember me at the end. But I'll remember her forever.

I'm rather curious, while there isn't much on the Barriere family as a whole what are some of your thoughts and theories about them? (If you're willing to share that is). For me personally, it feels like there's an underlying and sinister air to them.

Honestly the big one that I constantly think about that I've had for quite some time that I continue to wonder when we'll get enough proof to confirm or deny it is whether Count Barriere was involved in causing or helping instigate/worsen the tragedy that killed Alice's parents, the DeRoss couple. (Whether that means he helped Orpheus' parents, the forest rangers, acquire the help they needed attacking the place, or potentially gave them the idea to steal from it, or something else, I don't know but I do wonder.)

We know he owns the land the manor is on, and he frequently appears in places connected to death, including Moonlit River Park and Golden Cave (Kreiburg Racecourse by extension of Lily's father. Potentially Lakeside too due to it's proximity to Golden Cave and the manor, as we know he owns the mountains Golden Cave is located at, the same mountains where the manor is, and thus its possible he could own the land where Lakeside is potentially).

Barriere also seems to have more mysteries surrounding him than even Orpheus, because we have no idea about his motivations or main goal.

Lily's S-tier essence implies his use of Golden Cave to earn his fortunes, as well as potentially hints at a "curse". Golden Cave's rumor states that, despite not finding gold, Barriere "still got what he wanted with this land". And we know the only thing that came out of the mine were Norton, his meteorite chunks, and the deaths of the other miners.

Lily's final deduction references an agreement between Barriere and "a person with the signature 'D'" where Barriere loaned to this other person a "'Mediterranean Development' bond worth £100 and a copy of 'Orfeo' published in 1881". It potentially hints at some of his interests, but we also know the Count sent Lily to the manor to "reclaim what is mine". Like Lily's essence, the bond could hint at monetary motivations, or it's possible he wants the results of that "Mediterranean Development", which could refer to the delphi fern or the drugs made using it. Orfeo... maybe that'd be a hint towards him pontetially manipulating Orpheus to some degree. I'm not quite sure yet. These are just some quick, off the top of my head thoughts.

Then there's also that paper titled "Contracting Parties" with the image of Alice's pocket watch from the Ashes of Memory (part 1) Concept Video that references both Dennis (presumably Dennis DeRoss despite the odd spelling) and Count Barriere. Likely implies 3 of these watches were made according to the quantity listed. I assume Alice got 1 of them, Dennis or his wife (or I guess Orpheus) have a 2nd, and then maybe the 3rd went to Barriere? But there's no info yet as to how these watches may be important beyond informing us of a connection or business relationship betwen Barriere and DeRoss.

The only reoccuring themes with Count Barriere seem to be money and death, but he also keeps ending up linked to a lot of important locations, including the manor itself. We likely will have to wait quite a bit before we get any more answers.

This was just a big... crack theory I've had on him. Honestly, besides that, whenever I have a question I'm attempting to solve, 1 of the 1st things I consider is whether or not Barriere's invovled or could be the answer ^_^; . This man appears so much yet we know so little that it bugs me so I end up literally grasping at crumbs and coming up with these crack theories that are based on very little (mostly only because we know very little to start with and there's not much to work off of, so I just do my best to think). I want to know so bad!!!

TL;DR: The main stylistic difference between the two main artists, Dana Rune and Gabriella Rosetti, is that Dana Rune's style is very angled and asymmetric. She uses a lot of sharp, varied shapes, while Gabriella Rosetti's style is slightly more rounded and even. Veronica Liwski is most similar to Dana Rune's, but with more detailed and shiny rendering

Detailed thoughts on each artist and my attempt to sort the CGs

Top Group: Unsure artist. The way Muriel is drawn leans more towards how Gabriella Rosetti draws him, with slightly more texture and less defined rendering in the hair. However, there's a slight discomfort in drawing Muriel's squarish face and nose (I relate) and a change in rendering style that suggests a separate artist was involved.

2nd Group: Dana Rune, the original artist and art director for most of the game. She designed all the main LIs, Morga, Vlastomil, etc. She mostly drew Julian and Asra's CGs, along with some of Nadia's and a few of Muriel's. She draw characters with sharp features and loose, detailed hair. Her rendering focuses on bright colours and stark lighting, and her lineart has a lot of weight variation. As art director and creator of the style, she still had a lot of influence on the other illustrations, presumably redlining and giving advice on how to draw her characters.

(Note: Dana Rune designed a lot of the characters alongside another original creator, Nikolai Ladizinsky. Their art style is very distinct from Dana's so I'm pretty sure they didn't do any in-game art, but they still had an influence on the style and aesthetic)

3rd Group: Gabriella Rosetti, the current main artist and art director. They designed most of the courtiers, the Satrinava and Alnzar families, Arcana, and many of the later outfits and characters. They drew all of Portia and Lucio's CGs, along with some of Nadia and Asra's. Their art style is softer, with a more natural edge than Dana's, primarily seen in how they draw hair. Their lighting is less saturated, featuring more daylight scenes with neutral tones.

4th Group: Veronica Liwski, an additional artist who designed Natiqa, assisted with Nasmira, as well as some CGs for Asra, Julian, and Nadia. They also drew some backgrounds. Their art is incredibly detailed and focused on rendering. There's a lot of shine to textures and a focus on detailed hair and clothing. Their lighting is a bit more complex and painted than the other artists. Their art is angular, similar to Dana Rune's, though with a bit more natural weight to the figures.

5th Group: Also unsure, but with even less of a guess. These don't appear in portfolios or have a lot of the distinct traits of specific artists. The original ending CGs for Asra, and the Upright CGs for Nadia and Julian have a more painted texture to the rendering style. Asra's Reversed especially has very different colouring to create its atmosphere. I'd guess they were Gabriella Rosetti's, but the Portia CG has a change in rendering more similar to the sprite style. Gabriella Rosetti tends to draw the faces with more detail.

went back to the sketchbooks around when i was going through yyh for the first time in 2019 and found a pile of near-yearly sticky note updates about my relationship with the series next to my first yyh doodles, a page full of kuwabaras. thought it'd be fun to share

+ more thoughts and old yyh art below

(it's crazy i didn't find any kurama-centric pages for months bc i think he's the one i doodled in the margins of class notes and stuff the most. his hair's pwetty and he gives me the least trouble outta any of the main 4)

something i noticed while skimming the two sketchbooks i took these from was how mean i was to myself at the time about my art. i guess it hit me more because i don't really spend hours going through my old sketchbooks over and over to track my progress and growth like i used to quite often. i guess it was only a little after when my self esteem was lowest (8th grade, tale as old as time), but... idk. i knew back then that i'd grown a lot in the few years since i started drawing more seriously (that's why i looked through my art so much), but like... i guess that never translated into being nice to myself about it. i ended up going back through about ten more sketchbooks to find more yyh art, and in the coming years i'm glad to say that negativity in the margins went away. hell yeah

but even so, my love for yyh was a constant and effusive thing, as it is now. it's probably the oldest of my current media interests. i watched myself get into rgg and develop my ocs and watched others fade in and out, watched my style loop back on itself and go all over the place, passed by pages of writing about crushes and album releases and gender discoveries and my grandparents dying, all surrounded by little drawings of the characters i love. including kuwabara in a maid dress right next to my dead grandma grief rambling that one time (no i'm not kidding. my grandma died in like late 2020 and the page where i poured my heart out after finding out she was gone just trying to process everything had one with catboy maid dress kuwabara directly opposite it, who i'd drawn like the evening before she died in her sleep. he killed my grandma from like 100 miles away he was that powerful. that wasn't even the last time i drew him like that and i don't even care about catboys or maid dresses much. i think it was just a bigger meme and he was the guy i most associated with cats. i put that man in a situation and he fucking got her because the book couldn't contain him. some victor frankenstein shit. anyway)

i took about 150 pictures, most with multiple sketches. i decided not to add any more though bc 1) i posted some of them on old accounts but i don't remember which ones, and tbh i value my anonymity a little too much 2) All Of The Pictures Turned Out Bad in ways i don't feel like getting into but just trust me it's like 6 layers of fucked up illegible image bullshit 3) i found it hard to narrow it down to things i felt were indicative of the development or interesting or anything like that. idk. i figured it was an interesting exercise for me and it probably wouldn't really mean anything to anyone else. and that's ok :) it was nice anyway. i mostly mention it to be like Oh My God i've drawn these guys a lot and i STILL don't know what i'm doing... :| it's fun

7/9/19: yo it's been less than a week & i'm on ep. 80 wtf i love this show

8/14/20: 1/2way thru my 3rd watch (first dub, first [with older sibling]) & honestly still love it & kuwabara being the first one i drew makes me happy

7/28/21: i'm watching it w/ [younger sibling] now! 4th(ish) watch, 2nd time through the dub, which is so much better than the sub really elevates the text. we're at the semifinals of the DT, which means this is technically my 5th time through yyh up until that point but eh semantics anyway i still love & obsess over yyh! <3

1/14/24 (present day): hey, i'm rewatching yyh for the.. idk 5th or 6th time. still love it & never stopped. now i'm writing fic & drawing & posting about it. i have friends i talk to about it. [both siblings] have seen it. so much has changed, and so little, but it made me sad seeing how much i insulted my own art. i love you 2019 me. god knows you needed it

Any tips on writing a buffer? I'm trying to make a LO "fan" series too but i have no idea how to write one ;^;

So I guess like... I mentioned I mostly focus on writing when I do my 'buffer' in a previous post, but 'buffer' isn't really the right word for it, it's more just like... plan ahead, y'know? 😂 A lot of webtoon originals creators are great at drawing but painfully not great at writing and honestly, I can't really rag on all of them equally, many of them did just start off with a neat central idea that got picked up by WT and then they had to essentially pants the project. I think one of my favorite examples of a webtoon you can tell had a lot of writing and rewriting put into it is City of Blank. It's got a very interesting plot with very goal-oriented writing, especially by its 2nd-3rd season when the stakes REALLY start to get high. Highly recommend you go check that out if you want to see a serialized webtoon with a very strong narrative foundation.

Anyways, I'm getting off-topic, but when it comes to like, "planning ahead" with your writing, really all I can recommend is:

Have a goal in mind. Where are your characters starting and where do you want them to end up? Is it a physical journey, or an emotional one?

You don't need to have every single detail planned ahead, but you should, at the very least, plan out as much of a beginning, middle, and end as you can, with major events or plot points in between. I tend to write 'event by event' so I'll essentially plot out all my major plot points, make sure they all work together in the overall theming of the narrative (so that every plot point has an actual reason to exist) and then hone in on the smaller details to ensure all those plot points connect and work together. Some people tend to do this while also pantsing (i.e. 'writing as you go') which is what I also think RS does, but there's a difference between writing as you go in front of a live audience and just writing as you go while you're drafting. Until you have a solid plan, keep it in the drafts, read it, rework it, re-read it again, etc. Have a plan, especially if you're planning on doing a serialized (i.e. weekly, monthly, etc.) series where you release things on a schedule.

Get feedback! Find some pals or people in the community who would be open to reading over things with you and giving feedback. Be aggressively open to feedback. Even Rekindled isn't just the sum of my own parts, I've gotten so much awesome feedback and suggestions from people in the community, particularly in UnpopularLO as its the community who got to see me start Rekindled from the very beginning. Many of the people in there have gotten to see Rekindled stuff before it ever made it onto Tumblr and I honestly don't think I could have made it this far without a lot of them LOL

There is no "right" or "wrong" method to planning. I use a combination of Scrivener, Excel, and notepad files to write my stuff out in a way that's comprehensible to me. After all, whatever you draft, it's for you. There's no pressure to try and make your drafts look presentable, they're your drafts. Make a mess, write stuff down, talk yourself through the process even if you think it looks crazy to type at yourself in your documents. Get your thoughts and ideas on paper and out of your head, even if it's not meant to be seen by anyone else yet!

Your ranking (lowest/highest) of hss books??

I'm planning a longer post for this but here's my short version:

6th Place: HSS:CA 2

The election plotline in this one was broken beyond all belief. Like, "trash the whole thing and start over from scratch" belief. It completely shoots itself in the foot with having Rory and Twin preach about how MC shouldn't feel pulled in two directions only for the conflict resolution to rely on MC choosing between the two of them, and the conflict turning point relies entirely on the whole school acting like a hivemind of five-year-olds over Lorenzo "saving" a kitten, which could only be resolved by the Greenhouse Ex Machina.

If there's any redeeming qualities it's that when it wasn't focusing on that stupid election bullshit, it did help the friend group grow on me more after finding them mostly unremarkable in Book 1, most especially so with Ajay.

5th Place: HSS:CA 3

This one should be the higher ranking of the HSS:CA books, as it's the more pleasant, competent, and exciting of the trilogy. Its main storyline actually had some semblance of structure, and it didn't make me annoyed with everyone else. But it's hard to get past how painfully nostalgia-baity the OG HSS characters' cameos were. A plot about the OG and CA gangs putting on a musical together and going to London together is something I want to like! Yet even when the OG characters are a part of the theatre production, they're still useless as all fuck and do nothing more than just tag along. They even admit in the story that they're only joining the musical to go on the London trip.

And what makes it really hurt is that this book is supposed to be the big grand finale to the HSS franchise as a whole. Yet the OG characters get such a cheap soulless sendoff, both in regards to the final chapter and the book as a whole. Yeah, this and LOA 2 have got to be the worst most inconclusive series finales in all of Choices.

4th Place: HSS:CA 1

Even though CA 3 is what I called the more pleasant of the bunch, CA 1 is probably the one that bothered me the least. I mean, Book 2 was just contrived drama for the sake of drama and Book 3's treatment of the OG characters is the equivalent to jangling plastic keys in front of a toddler. Book 1's problems are mainly just how forced Rory was, and how meanspirited the whole sabotage drama felt with the other theatre kids instantly believing that they were the culprit and cruelly ostracizing them for days on end, and then not even apologizing when their name is cleared. It was aggravating, but it wasn't outright insulting I guess.

Other than that, the story is pretty straightforward. Though it was hard to adjust to the new MC and cast, especially with seeing the OG MC around as a NPC. I'll be honest, there wasn't really much purpose for switching MCs this time around.

3rd Place: OG HSS: 3

While still great in its own right, it was definitely the weakest of the OG trilogy. I feel like they made a bit too much of a deal of Max and Kara wanting to be prom king and queen and threatening MC's prom campaign. The LIs don't really have much of a role in this book also and while they did come pretty far from how they were in Book 1, I'd have liked to see more.

That being said, it's still strong in other areas. The general conflict between Berry and Hearst and MC's tryouts felt pretty natural, and I liked that we could make MC a jerk and face consequences for it. It's also really nice being official with your LI and all the little moments such as the promposal, the love confessions, etc.

2nd Place: OG HSS 2

Isa taking over Berry was a great way to up the stakes. We get a bit of mystery and suspense, and all in all it's a pretty solid story. It especially hits hard if you're romancing Aiden, in which case it makes you want to kill Isa even more.

The only thing I didn't like is band and cheer turning against the basketball team. I understand why they did it, but seeing as I generally prefer playing a jock MC, it was very painful seeing them (Aiden included in the next chapter) turn against the wrong enemy.

1st Place: OG HSS 1

It's a pretty simple and straightforward story, but it establishes the exciting and escapist atmosphere really well. The different conflicts you're involved in based on your activity choice, getting to know all the different characters and their struggles, the yearbook photos. It's very iconic and makes its mark as establishing HSS in Choices. And there's very little I'd criticize about it aside from mostly nitpicky things or general Choices problems.

Thank you for the tag @therealnightcity I had much fun doing something not work related for once 💜

1. Are you named after anyone?

Yes, my mom had a friend when she was little with the name Nadia, my second name Erika (Heather in English) is from my godmother and Dirk, my third name, from my godfather. (but my 2nd and 3rd name aren't on my ID)

2. When was the last time you cried?

Only recently because I'm far too stressed as is good for me. Aside from that I have to prepare a lawsuit because asking nicely doesn't work in this world anymore and I hate it.

3. Do you have kids?

Does a cat and a husband count as kids? It does sometimes, doesn't it?

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Read the answer to the last question and make a guess. Sarcasm and humor are the only things that keep me alive in this society.

5. What sports do you play/have you played?

it depends on do I have palyed them seriously or just every now and then when bored?

Profesionally I played Football (soccer for Americans) and did iceskating.

I still do fencing (although I paused it recently bc of stress at work) and I go as often as possible swimming, didn't do my swim badges for nothing.

6. What's the first thing you notice about other people?

I'm always drawn to people's eyes. I choose my husband bc of his eyes, I literally fell in love with them first.

7. Eye color?

blue/grey

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I do not watch many movies. I know I'm weird, but I'm fine! I love angst. Happy endings are only worth it when they had to go through so much shit that they really earned it. Does that make sense?

I love horror movies as well, just not "It" from 1990, that clown gives me nightmares. Mission accomplished I guess.

9. Any special talents?

Other than making ice cream vanish? No, no talents that I know of.

OK I have somewhat of a talent for languages, I speak 3 fluently. If I would put in some effort I could easily get into French again I assume. The other languages are German, Dutch and English. Due to me speaking those languages I can translate many skandinavian texts because they often have similar words in either of those languages.

10. Where were you born?

In a town in Germany (Northrhine Westfalia) that was already around in 986 when it was first mentioned historically.

11. What are your hobbies?

I have so many hobbies that I sometimes don't know what to do. At the moment I also have not much time to do anything at all because of my job. When I come home I just want to take my brain out and pretend I'm dead.

When I have time at all I mostly write, VP takes me too much effort to even motivate me. But I have a week off in two weeks so maybe I can get back at it.

12. Do you have any pets?

A cat and a husband. (Sorry sarcasm, cannot help it)

13. How tall are you?

160 cm or 5.2 ft

14. Fave subject in school?

History, Geography, Biology and physics. In exactly that order.

Not a request!!! Just a thought;

But will you ever consider writing a full on one-shot of the self aware enstars au? I’ve been reading some of your discussions about it and it’s low-key interesting …I love your work as well so I’m interested in reading your interpretations on it! Because in a lot of yandere stories, it mostly relies on dialogue to tell us all about the character and plot of the story. There’s also physical descriptions of actions which is made very clear cut and just generally straightforward that it is a yandere story. Which I feel like it’s easy to lose interest on such stories because you can usually predict how it’ll go. There’s also the entire POV thing, wether it be 3rd, 1st, or 2nd, I feel like you could use each of these perspectives to throw the readers in a loop. Wether it be being vague to the point everyone is always switching the blame, red herrings with false implications, etc. And I think it’s kinda hard to feel the scary aspect of a yandere story when it’s clearly in front of you. There’s not a lot of room for interpretations for it. I usually like reading a story that’s more “show don’t tell” vibe when it comes to yandere, because as a reader you also feel unnerved not knowing the characters…but they know you, don’t they? But you don’t have to know that yet, don’t lose you head over it silly…It really starts to make you question intentions, second guess, and having to re read each paragraph to find any foreshadowing. Hell, maybe you start to go crazy as well.

Which is why I like the idea of a self aware au, you’d probably just find yourself outright denying everything. That the game is iffy and is worth deleting (aka more complications) or you’d full on always blame the lag or a bug. But specifically self aware au where the mc gets transported into their world, it’d be 100% more harder, considering having to adapt in a new world and slowly realising your entire existence. I feel like it can slowly spiral to an unhinged mc that’s just succumbing to their reality, losing their marbles while at it, and bunch of dudes go crazy for them.

But what do you think of how the mc/reader would react? In a self aware au setting, I think there’s many possibilities and each oprutunity can lead up to some spicy drama lol…

First of all, thank you for the very thorough ask, I love seeing what you guys think about certain aspects!

To answer your question, I'd definitely be up for one day writing a one-shot centered around the idea of the yandere self-aware au! All it comes down to is me suddenly getting a good idea on what I could write. The way I go about writing scenarios vs headcanons or rambles is pretty different

For headcanons it's usually good enough to simply start with certain ideas and then it kind of develops from there because I get more ideas as I'm writing and the structure of headcanons or rambles allows me to simply add on any ideas I just had without disrupting the "flow" too much

With scenarios, I usually like to plan out most of what happens beforehand. So I have a certain idea and the steps of what needs to happen in order and at what conclusion I want to end it all on. I can still improvise some of the dialogue or smaller parts but usually I have an outline I need to follow so it all makes sense because it's like an actual story you read from beginning to end that needs to follow a single flowing narrative

It's a lot more work and I need a better idea of what I want to write about, which is why it's usually rarer for me to post a scenario, it just takes a lot of time compared to headcanons.

What I mean to say is that I'm open to the idea of writing a one-shot for the Au, I'm just waiting for the day where an idea suddenly appears in my head and I know exactly what to write. So it may take a while to get to that point but it's definitely not out of the question!

I'm also a fan of "show, don't tell" and subtle foreshadowing and I like trying to incorporate some of that into my writing, though I don't know if I always succeed at that. I particularly throwing in a line and repeating it in the end where it has a different meaning djdjd The "unknown" parts are what keeps me on my toes as I read a yandere story. Of course, having read a lot of these stories over the years you start to get a certain feeling for tropes that might appear so I'm genuinely impressed when something manages to surprise me. I love the slow realization of all the hints the author dropped in the beginning and that it didn't just come out of the blue.

The reader being unaware of what is actually happening, only being able to guess is really interesting and you're right when you say that a self-aware au lends itself well to that!

I feel like no matter how much I think about this kind of AU and how suspicious it would be for a new line to appear or something of the like, irl I would never realize something like that would be happening to be honest djdjdj Like I would sit there and be like " I guess they added a new campaign :)" or think it was some sort of glitch. Knowing of the tropes in writing would not help be in actually realizing the problem if I were in that exact same situation, so I can't blame the readers in these scenarios that only think the app is acting up or something. We as the actual readers might be aware that it's yandere related but no one would actually believe that if they were in the same situation

So yes, the game starts glitching and ominous things happen and yet the player is not aware at all. You just know something is happening but you don't know *what*

But really, imagine something like that happening to you and you're suddenly in the enstars world, you would be so disoriented and scares as hell💀 Like, how would you even get out of there?? How did you get there in the first place?? What is going on??

You'd be so stressed that you'd have an even harder time picking up on any unhealthy behaviors from the characters, too distracted by the fact that you're somehow talking to a living, breathing game character.

Mika: "Oh I'm so so glad to see you! I don't deserve to be in your presence but I would do absolutely anything for you! Just say the word and I will get rid of anyone that bothers you because I love you so much!!"

You: Is that Mika Kagehira from the hit mobile-game Ensemble Stars! Music and Basic, available in the appstore and Google play as well as in qooapp? Oh my god

Like, you're just in utter disbelief that any of this is happening while all the characters go bonkers because you're finally with them. I can definitely see you slowly losing your mind because it's all so surreal and you don't know what to do or who to trust

Finished watching all of the Sam and Max seasons (yes watching, first 2 games was from Jerma's vods and the 3rd season was mostly from silent playthroughs)

TL;DR from most liked to least, season 1, 2 and 3 in that order. I'm pleasantly surprised that I ended up liking Sam and Max equally, because I'm usually prone to being one sided with duo's. I am now seeing myself buying a Max plushie and HOPEFULLY a figure in the future.

Anyways under the cut is spoilers of all 3 seasons because I will be explaining some thoughts

I lovee love love season 1 a lot. Probably the simplest but simple is fun! It's the most similar to being an actual TV show being episodic and all. 2nd season is fun too but did kind of lose me with the lack of Bosco and Sybil. Season 3 completely lost me with the loss of the office, Bosco, AND Sybil (for the most part). I still enjoyed all of the stories but visiting the same characters and seeing the progress of the office with each episode made it homier for me.

Favorite episode is probably S2E4, the time travelling was so fun. Absolutely loved both kid Sam and Max and future Sam and Max in that episode. But I did love the embarrassing noir bit with Sam and the places inside of Max for the last episode in season 3.

It just kinda bums that Season 3 had no Bosco at all (Mama Bosco doesn't count) and I missed Sybil. And the office too, I missed it so much. I hope Leonard is ok LOL, though I guess the one part inside of Max could be a substitute for the office. Also, the Stinky's are fine, but to be honest, I dreaded the place and girl Stinky. Probably my least favorite area.

I thought it was kind of tedious to watch a lot of the episodes though (to be fair, it could also be Jerma's fault because he took like. 20 years to get through areas). Moai Better Blues (S2E2) was probably the groggiest one to watch, though the desert episodes in S3 were also a pain in the ass.

Despite all that, I still enjoyed it! I will try to draw at least 1 finished drawing of Sam & Max

4 year old autistic toddler Lucian Munguia, still missing.

When I found out about what happened to this boy I was instantly attached to this case. Bc I also have an autistic toddler and can't imagine how I'd feel if this happened to me... so here is my effort at trying to see what could of happened to this poor baby.

What happened?

I guess the father left lucian and his brother playing at the park while he went to change his daughter's diaper in the car nearby. When he got back lucian was no where to be seen, the last known location of lucian munguia was him alone walking away from the park on cctv. It's assumed that he was exploring and wandering around...

In criminal astrology the missing person is always ruled by the ascendant and co-ruled by the moon, for children the moon is the main ruler.

So in lucians case the moon was in pisces in the 1st house.. what's crazy to me is that the last seen footage of lucian was him walking alone. He was not taken or anything like that atleast not on the video, he willingly left and wandered off by himself.

The pisces moon here to me represents someone kind of being in a dream like, imaginative, creative state of mind and in the 1st house is literally him being adventurous and bold, alone. Maybe at the time he disappeared, he could of been distracted by something.. it could be that he's been to that park many times before and got bored so he started wandering off. I feel like he was just taking in everything, observing his surroundings, the trees and everything in front of him. Autistic children are not reckless, depending on how severe/not severe... his mom said he does speak and can tell you what he wants. So he def was able to understand things, my toddler is the same way. Autistic children like this are very careful and they will try to beware of possible falls or anything that could hurt them. But accidents do happen

Position of the planets on the date missing:

Something to note is that the moon was pretty close to transiting into aries, not only that but the ascendant is in Pisces as well as neptune. Moon is conjuncting neptune and close to the ascendant.

Lucian munguia is the moon, the sign of the moon is in Pisces so now we look to neptune since that is the planetary ruler of Pisces. To me this is not a good sign, he could of slipped and fell into a body of water or drugged or got lost. Let's take a look at the houses and aspects tho..

This is just my interpretation, and I'm mostly just brainstorming and leaving myself some "sticky notes" so when I look back at this I have some clues to go off of. If you see anything I don't please lmk.

House placements/asc/aspects:

Mars in the 3rd house: Could of got hit by a car while traveling. Maybe hit his head.

2nd house in taurus: Sad to say this and I hope I'm wrong but someone, a stranger could have seen him as a person of value, he could of been snatched/possessed. (Animals? Taurus, bull) uranus is also in the 2nd house so unexpected loss or gains? What was valuable to lucian at this time was gathering things to make himself be secure, he was lost in an unknown place so maybe he was trying to find shelter.

8th house in scorpio: Trafficked possibly?

3H + 4H in gemini: neighborhood, siblings.

4th in house gemini, end of the matter: Could be in a car or was hit by a car and placed somewhere else a short distance away. Maybe the surroundings of the location of lucian is in a busy, heavy traffic place, lots of communication/connections around. In a chaotic, messy area.

Something that also comes to my attention is that the dad, who was changing his daughter's diaper couldn't have been gone for long or not keeping his eye on lucian for longer than 5 minutes, unless he was just that neglectful. But if he was gone for just a minute or so then lucian couldn't have gone that far? So he could be either nearby, which I heard they checked everywhere for him so I'm not sure about that.

With moon conjunct neptune maybe he's in the water, maybe he was contaminated in some way? He could of started to feel ill/sick/vulnerable, extra sensitive to his surroundings. Maybe he slipped on something and fell into the water. There is geese around and apparently poop everywhere so he could have slipped on that. At this time lucian would have been very mentally confused and lost, so there could be no logical reasoning for what could of happened.

Another possibility is someone from the party is responsible for him going missing. Maybe multiple people are involved.

I went to Google maps to see what the area looks like and I came across these comments above.. not a good sign at all, the most recent homeless activity was 4 months ago so that could be a possible danger. I can def see that happening with all the neptune in lucians chart.

Neptune=drugs, gasses, alcohol, delusion, misty, contamination, shady characters, fish, animals.

If this is a possibility then and if homeless people have campsights around the area and know the area well, they would know exactly where to hide someone or keep themselves hidden. Since the end of the matter is in gemini then there is no question that he's somewhere close by, I'm just not sure exactly where.

It's a large park with lots of activities around so he could be hidden somewhere, easily overlooked bc there's a lot going on. There's a Walmart nearby so that tells me this isn't in the middle of nowhere and there's people/cars coming in and out of the area constantly.

There's mixed comments about the conditions of the park, some say it's very clean and others say it's very dirty and run down..

Since the 3rd house + 4th are both in gemini could it be possible that he's in an abandoned car? Or even trail.

Moon conjunct neptune: Deep imagination, defenseless, trying to identify with things he knows or familiar with, having fun exploring.

Neptune conjunct ascendant: He was visibly lost, distant towards others, possibly walking near corners.

Moon conjunct jupiter: He was walking far distances, to an unfamiliar place, big imagination, maybe his mindset at the time was that he could do anything and had unlimited possibilities in that moment. Maybe a large area of land

Moon conjunct ascendant: There was a party going on at the park, where he went missing from.. to me, I could be wrong but the moon conjunct ascendant is lucian alone but it was also obvious to others (strangers) maybe someone with bad intentions could tell that he was lost and alone, young, in need of help.

I put a question mark in my interpretation of this aspect in the screenshot bc I'm not sure what it could mean, there's a lot of conjunctions I'm seeing.

Sun opposite ascendant: He could be out of sight, hidden. Opposite direction from where he was expected to be found.

Sun opposite moon: Found in an unexpected place. The sun could also be the perpetrator, if there is one. So the perpetrator would be represented by the Sun in Virgo.

When there is exact aspects to the victims ruler that's a sign that another person is involved.

Neptune square MC: Public/searchers/law enforcement confused, victim in a hard to reach/hidden area.

Moon square MC: the public/searches/law enforcement will have a hard time finding lucian..lack of support, evidence, uncomfortable place.

Moon sextile pluto: He could be somewhere deep

Here is the location 111 S 18th St, Yakima, WA 98901 if you want to see street view on Google maps, I recommend that to get a better idea of the place.

Here I have mapped all the possible locations, each one shows the most significant planets imo that I converted from degrees to distance.

The park where he was last seen is right in the middle, the starting point for all the lines.

You can see on the top half, the ascendant line, moon line and neptune line are all super close together. Looks like they are behind buildings? I looked them up, the building closest to the park is a truck stop production area and the building further up is a hotel..those are probably the most important lines

The mars line is also important bc I realized it is right in the 4th house, the end of the matter. Doesn't look like there's much there so idk. There has been reports that there's dangerous people on Yakima Greenway area, gangs, assaults and homeless people.. if a child were to wander off it would be very unsafe place to be.

The pluto line is at a car dealership area.

The MC line is closest to Walmart, it's the white building at the bottom corner by Chalmers rd.

Sun line is in the water.

I highlighted the direction he was seen walking, it's not exact but it should be close. They said he was heading south east towards the bodies of water, so that would be towards the bottom of this map above. Further down is the Yakima river and another large body of water.

The sun line should be going directly through the Buchanan lake.. I'll be back with more maps and info soon

So sad.. he was found underwater, all that was left was his skeleton and that's what they have confirmed to be his remains. Poor baby, it was worrying me so much what could of happened to this sweet boy. I'm so sorry lucian, I'm glad your family and all of us are able to have closure now.

I left up all my interpretations, some of them were off but I did mention he could of slipped under water (in between the sun and venus line is where he was found).

Astrology is amazing. What's interesting as I'm looking at the chart of the day lucians remains were identified, mars gemini 9°15 is now in retrograde closely conjuncting where mars was in the 1st chart (day he went missing) and jupiter is now direct in aries 1°03, coming out of retrograde closely conjunct where jupiter was.

That's crazy to me, it's becoming very clear that retrogrades play important roles in cases like this.. as I mentioned in jolissas chart reading. Please go check hers out if you haven't. For now that's all I've got, thank you for reading.
