For example, the colors you use & how you pick them, how you get that pink tone around the Lineart (I think) (it's just rly cool). I've had no professional art training, I seriously don't know what I'm doing and struggle making tutorials. But will try here!!
For me the colour work is really situational on the drawing! I find myself experimentally attempting to weaponize colour theory and there's a lot of instinct involved that I can't figure out how to verbalise yet. Here's an example of some thought process I have:

My main advice is to play with sliders a lot and really experiment (that's what I do for every drawing)!
To get the pink glow around your lineart, copy your lineart layer, fill the copy in with a pink of your choice (sometimes I do a gradient), blur the layer (experiment with how much blur you'd like), put it directly below the lineart layer, and set the layer to multiply (or any mode you think looks pretty)!

You may want to adjust your piece's brightness/colours after applying it and sharpen the image after exporting.
A lot of colour gradients are involved and on their own they can eventually compromise the gritty/punchy style, especially the ones that are between extreme and subtle. A good way to combat this is with screentones/haftones!! You can use them to diversify colours and imply shading/texture.

I recommend going nuts and having a lot of fun with it to find what works for you!
I often add a lot of small lens flares as they satisfyingly cut through the piece, imply flash photography (which goes well with the strong black shading), add visual noise to areas you don't want to be your main point of focus, are a great way to show speculars, and idk man sparkles are just pretty haha.

Go nuts with them and have fun!! When you get them to look good, think to yourself why that is.
I made a tutorial ~1 year ago on how I shade with black. This simple trick will really help it look good, 3D and rendered - it just requires a lot of knowledge about shadows to start with. I have a lot of experience rendering "normally" which helped me learn how to use black in an experimental way.
Minor correction that the shadows labelled "ambient occlusion" in the tutorial are actually just normal shadows, ambient occlusion is total lack of light.

Wanted to see a visual of my art progression for the comic so made a comparison of each characters first appearance to their more current ones. I guess this is my "year in review". Idea came from a friend on discord.
A lot of the changes I'm happy with. Drawing almost every day since March has really paid off. I had small projects I worked on in-between this comic that also helped too.
Some things I noticed now looking at this in hind-site: Luigi had the biggest changes. In the beginning I was so unsure of how to draw him in my style vs canon and its clear I was trying to find a compromise with it.
Human Bowser didn't have to many style changes, but his line work was refined over time. Peach suffered from generic anime girl in the beginning until I started drawing everyone under the same style umbrella. Koopa Bowser went through a lot of changes. Bowser is *hard* to draw, and I think he changed in almost every damn page lol.
Overall I'm really happy with the progression of things. I finally found a uniform way I want to draw everything, I learned a ton of skills and techniques along the way, and since I draw almost everyday I've gotten faster and more efficient at getting pages out.
I think the biggest challenges moving forward will be the action scenes in the sequel. They will be my weakest point and I'm hoping I can do them justice. I will be drawing Bowser jr. more in the sequel too so I'm going to keep working on making the koopa designs more cohesive.

My thoughts on Spy x Family: EYES ONLY Guidebook (English ver) - part 2
Continuing from my previous post about the English version of the SxF manga guidebook "EYES ONLY," today I'll be going over Endo's interviews, as well as showing my favorite "fun" page spreads!
Endo's interviews with his editor Lin and other manga-ka
First off, let's address the elephant in the room: as some of you may have heard, a horrendous clickbait article was released a while back citing an interview from this book (when it was only in Japanese). The article claims that Endo states in the interview that he doesn't like Anya or any of the other SxF characters. Thankfully u/fuyukochii on Reddit had provided an unofficial translation of the interview, so most fans were able to see that this article was bogus. And now we have the official translation as further proof...

Lin, Kato, and Amu are teasing Endo about the fact that he tends to not draw handsome men ("ikemen") in his series. So when he finally did with Loid's design, they joking applaud this big sacrifice he made, to which Endo replies (again, jokingly) that this compromise to his preferred style is why he has no emotional attachment to his characters. Again, all the "laugh" and "clap" interjections in this exchange make it clear that they're all joking around. The article took this statement of his completely out of context and twisted the "no attachment" wording to mean total dislike. It's unfortunate, but false information gets published like this all the time, and often for more dire issues than a manga fanbook. But it seems like a lot of fans didn't fall for the clickbait, which is good. And now everyone who reads the book officially in English can see that there's no way someone like Endo who has such dedication to his craft could downright dislike it.
Moving on, I totally agree with Nishimori, Kato, and Amu's praise for Endo's work in the below exchanges…

The trait SxF has that they convey here is "balance:" balance between making its world believable, with enough serious conflict so that we care about what's at stake, but at the same time, stretching the veil of realism a bit to have comedic moments. There's also great balance to the characters in that none of them are totally good or totally bad, but because we know what's going on in their world and why they do the things they do (like what Nishimori mentioned about the scene with Loid), we can still sympathize with them.
Going along with that thought, Endo's responses on the below page further illustrates his balance between "dark" and "comedic."

I like how he says that he's not interested in grotesque violence as much as dark themes of the psychological kind…the dark side of humanity more than visual depictions of violence. We can see this in how he portrays the serious moments in SxF where, instead of showing actual horrific scenes of war, the focus is instead on the psychological impacts that war has had on the characters. Likewise, he mentions how perhaps "the comedic nature of their (the characters') daily lives is rooted in the severity of their reality." It's said that within comedy there's often some form of tragedy, and I think SxF is a good example of this as so much of the comedy has its roots in the darker aspects of life, like the fact that the characters have to lie about their true identities. But at the same time, Endo mentions that he doesn't want to shy away from the sad reality of war, which was a big driver for why he made the cruise arc. And again, his intention was not to show any kind of "good vs evil" thing, but simply what motivates people to do extreme things in times of war. His quote about how he never intended to show the Forgers as a completely righteous family is something I knew about before and I think is very poignant. It harkens back to what I discussed before about balance and the fact that his characters aren't shown as completely good or completely bad.
On a related note, in the below comment, Endo acknowledges that Loid and Yor have "darker sides."

It's cool that he likes drawing those expressions. It seems like he makes a conscious decision to show their "darkness" at the right times.
It's also very interesting that so many elements of SxF were decided last minute, as mentioned on the below page.

I can't believe Anya being telepathic was decided on so late! Considering it's such a big player in the series' humor, that's very surprising. But Endo does admit on this same page that he hadn't planned out the story at all. Since he had only done short/one-shot series up to that point, I'm sure he wasn't expecting SxF to continue on that long. But once it became so popular, he had to keep fleshing out the story and characters, probably beyond what he originally thought. But considering how little he had come up with for the series initially, he's done a fantastic job keeping up its quality and continuity. It really was some crazy mix of timing, talent, and perhaps a bit of luck, that turned a series with no long-term planning and so many last minute decisions into such a hit.
Other parts of the interview highlight just how dedicated Endo is to his research and how he agonizes over the fact that he may have been inconsistent with something.

I also have to say that as I read through all of Endo's interviews and comments in this book, I admire how down-to-earth he is. Like, rather than sugarcoat things, he just says it like it is, for example, he said he doesn't reveal new character names that often because it's a hassle to come up with them (pg179), how he didn't give any thought to Anya's pink hair besides it being "cute" (pg181), how it's a lot of work to draw characters in a variety of clothes (pg178), and how the main emotion he feels with SxF getting an anime series is "tired" (pg174). But there's often a "laugh" interjection in many of these interview answers, so we know his comments aren't to be taken that seriously!
And here's his message to readers at the end of the interview. Definitely not the words of a man who dislikes his story and characters.

Since the Endo interviews were pretty heavy, I'll finish up this post with the lighter topic of highlighting my favorite funny page spreads in the book!
First off is a spread featuring all of Yor's cooking!

The sarcasm for these meal descriptions is hilarious, lol. And what was that dessert Yor made at the end of the cooking lesson chapter? Guess we'll never know.

This is all just 4th-wall breaking fun as obviously no one was taking photos at these moments in canon, so Endo could just roll with the joke. Anya's inclusion in this whole gag is too good, from Yuri calling her an "unnamed collaborator" to her "Paparotsies, eat your heart out!" And I absolutely love her comment at the end about how she can't show Yuri some of Yor's less attractive expressions, lol. Pure SxF comedy gold.

Another Update
Hello Friends,
I have a rather long (but optimistic!) update to share with you all today. As many of you are probably tired of reading these kind of posts, I have a TL;DR here, but I did want to share what has been on my mind in that past half-year that I haven't been here.
It has been rough, and busy as always, but I think I'm finally facing myself and my project for the first time in a very long time.
TL;DR (it's actually long, I have a lot to say (*_ _)人)
I soul-searched and decided to stop compromising on my own feelings with regards to this project. I gave in to everything I wanted to do.
Plot changes, which means some character changes, which means some of the demo is outdated.
GotRM will be switching over to Twine.

OH MAN DID I SUFFER THE LAST FEW MONTHS
After my previous update, I hunkered down and really analyzed how I wanted to proceed with GotRM as a project. Because even prior to that post, I had already been going through long periods of hiatuses (which you are all aware of), and while I didn't lie about school taking up my time, I was also harboring a growing dissatisfaction with my own writing that really killed my progress for a long time.
So after everything had settled, I sat down and forced myself to peel apart my work. I know I said I would answer asks, but I uninstalled all of my social media and put aside this blog to focus. I made a note of all the things I liked and didn't like, and I made a list of things I wanted to change or improve on. The biggest point was that I also looked at my efficiency during actual writing sessions: how much of my time was spent writing vs. fighting with code? How could I change that?
And after a lot of deliberation, I figured there were a few things I had to change from the ground up, summed up in four points:
My working style was super incompatible with grad school. I can't spend 20-30 minutes scrolling up and down CSIDE checking code or looking for narratives while also jumping between chapters to make sure events line up. As this story grows, the more difficult it becomes to keep track of all the branches, so I needed an alternative working method, which I am adhering to now, and it prioritizes efficiency.
I hated the way I was tracking and coding stats in-game. I have griped so much about coding stats, and I have adhered to such a rigid style that I really felt trapped whenever I was confronted with balancing them out. So I'm throwing that to the wind and redoing how I utilize and convey them. Player-side, this decision doesn't change much since I never fully utilized stats in the demo anyway, and the stats page with indicators will still exist, but I'm getting rid of stat bars and how I treat stat checks.
The story I want to write now is different from the one I started out with. I've known for a while that GotRM was becoming far more than the tiny, wishful novella that I wrote as a teenager. I held onto that old story for a long time, but there's just so much I want to change that I realized I'd been clinging to a story I no longer enjoyed writing. So I spent the majority of the last few months rewriting GotRM from scratch. I redid some worldbuilding, I changed a lot of plot points, and I fixed a lot of characters' backstories accordingly. This meant scrapping stuff from even the demo, but that turned out to not be the biggest issue because:
I wanted to branch away from ChoiceScript. Honestly, I never really cared about getting officially published, but the camaraderie in the forums and on Tumblr were why I committed to CS and CoG. However, ultimately, I really want the functionality that other tools can offer GotRM, and so after a long internal debate, I will be switching over to Twine. Fortunately, since I was rewriting everything anyways, this has been relatively painless, and passage mapping has made everything so much neater. I am trying my best to make it up to chapter 2 before I release the new demo, so please look forwards to that!
And so yes, I am still here, chugging along.
I love this game and this story: it's been my creative escape for as long as I could remember, and you can imagine how frustrated I was when I realized I was starting to dread working on it.
I am forever learning more about myself and my writing style, and this is simply more of that journey. Thank you everyone for sticking around, for joining the discord, and for checking up on me--that I have all of you has truly been a dream.
Hopefully more updates to come soon! I understand that there may be questions about these new changes, so please ask away! I will (try) to release some asks that I've been working on in the drafts too, but I will wait until at least tomorrow to release them so that this post doesn't get drowned out immediately.

First musical emotion?
TF: I grew up in an environment full of music, with a very open-minded mother who listened to a lot of pop and rock music and, above all, an older brother who was 13 years older than me. That's how much I was immersed in teenage culture as a child. I was 3 years old in 1984 when the glam metal wave invaded the airwaves and TV screens. These bands, like Kiss, WASP or Mötley Crüe, very strong visually for a child, attracted me irresistibly. And let's not forget Twisted Sister. I Wanna Rock is the track that remains the basis, the trigger for everything for me. A song that, at 3, 13, 23 or 43 years old, still has the same effect on me as soon as I hear it: to jump in the air like a madman.
First record bought?
If not Kiss, probably a Rolling Stones album. It didn't make much of an impression on me because my brother used to buy so many of them, so my money was mostly spent on Star Wars stuff. There are tons of bands I love, but I think the Stones are my favourite. Because they embody everything I love about rock, even though they weren't as sophisticated as the Beatles or Pink Floyd. Between 1967 and 1972, in their darkest period, nobody did it better than them: they had the look, the attitude, the style and, on top of that, the songs! Let It Bleed is incredible, with songs like Midnight Rambler and Live With Me. As much as I admire technical singers, virtuosos of harmony, Jagger remains unique. I've never tried to imitate him, but as a performer he is the absolute model.
First concert of note?
My brother used to take me to see local punk bands at a very early age, but I remember B.B. King most of all, when I was about 5 or 6, with my mother. It was a jazz festival, outside in the courtyard of a castle, a very cool atmosphere. As soon as B.B. King started playing, there was electricity in the air. Everyone got up and started dancing, I was blown away. And as I was the only one of my age, I could move around freely, so much so that I found myself in the backstage, in front of B.B. King himself! He invited me into his dressing room: "Do you play the guitar?" - Yes! - so don't stop!" And I took his advice. Even though I sing on stage, the guitar is still my favourite instrument, the one I play and master the most.
The band that best managed to avoid the pitfall of the image taking precedence over the music?
Kiss, unfortunately, was far from being up to the task musically. Alice Cooper, after two minor first albums, went on to make four incredible albums with the original Alice Cooper Group. Above all, he made a phenomenal comeback with Welcome to My Nightmare in 1975. After that, the show took over... The band that managed to stay straight and dignified, without compromising the artistic quality of their work, is undoubtedly Iron Maiden. All of their 80's production is impeccable, and if they had a slump in the 90's, they came back even stronger with the return of Bruce Dickinson, and have been going strong for twenty years! Their work ethic is exemplary. With Ghost, we take up Phantom of the Opera, one of my favourite tracks from their early period, and one of the few where I felt we could add a little something to it.
Best punk song in the world?
There are so many, because I was also brought up on the sounds of the Pistols, the Ramones, the Dead Kennedys... But as a kid, I never got tired of listening to The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle again, especially the sequence where Sid Vicious sings My Way. His version is one of my favourite songs of all time. What could be more awesome than to see a guy slaughtering this standard while doing the same, shooting the shit, with the audience that came to see him! It was like the ultimate middle finger, and it made me happy, and it showed me the way.
The band that remains the grail for you?
Queen, because the show side, the big show, is the ultimate for me. In the early 70s, my favourite musical period, there were no big shows yet, like the Stones started doing afterwards. Queen is the same. Of course, their best albums are from the 70s, but the peak of their career for me is the Wembley concert in 1986. Magic wasn't a great record, but the show was breathtaking, dantesque, with a repertoire as vast as it was delirious. If Ghost could ever come close to the 1986 Queen, I would be delighted.
The greatest Swedish band?
ABBA, of course. No one will ever be able to stand in their way. The Beatles are the monarchs of English rock, ABBA the monarchs of Swedish pop. Björn and Benny are national heroes. I found myself at a huge, formal party when Benny suddenly sat down at the piano and started Thank You For the Music. There was silence in a second. This guy is a monument. You can't imagine what ABBA has done, not only for pop music, but also for Sweden and the Swedes. This band proved that you can move mountains.
Which Ghost song are you most proud of?
Cirice, probably. I often write my songs by singing into my phone a melody that is in my head. We were about to finish the album Meliora. And the co-producer tells me that a really heavy and powerful track is missing. I tell him I have this heavy, heavy, macabre sounding tune with a long intro and a crushing riff. He suggests I tweak it while he goes for a run. When he came back, I had written a chorus, lyrical, catchy. It wasn't the leaden track he was hoping for. But it won us a Grammy!
The most evil band?
Certainly not Mercyful Fate, as one might imagine. They, like most Norwegian death metal bands, more or less satanic, are the most charming guys I've ever met. They seem more like nice teachers than evil creatures. The scariest band is probably Von, a mythical American black metal band from Hawaii. These guys were really scary, with their terrifying size, they looked really dangerous. But I think the evil is mostly on the side of those who pretend to defend the good. For me, the most evil and unattractive musician is Ted Nugent. He's pro-life, pro-hunting, and claims he's only fighting for freedom. But the world he defends is about as free and tolerant as Vladimir Putin's. I refuse to listen to him.

wibta for using characters that might be too similar to ex friends for my own writing/art?
background: i had a lot of friendships that ended very badly while i was in an extremely compromised state. for a lot of them it ended with them giving me a very vague wall of text about my behaviour without explicitly telling me what i did wrong, so i feel i cannot apologize in any meaningful way, and i cannot contact them first, so instead tried my best to cut myself down as small as possible so they would never see me again. this still confuses me, and ive entertained the thought they were 'too scared' to tell me what i did wrong beforehand, but if thats the case, i was too, but i was the only one wanting to work things out. that isn't the point of this, though.
with a lot of these people i did something like collaborative worldbuilding. some of these concepts, ocs and oc ships i was very very invested in while i was at rock bottom, sort of coping with them, though the interest never felt reciprocated despite my efforts to stoke it (neither was i told to stop, though). i wrote a lot for some of them, as certain characters had a lot of stylings of archetypes im very fond of and tend to write over and over again (partially cos they remind me a lot of myself, if i can project) regardless of their involvement.
with the rug pulled out from under my feet irt that i didnt really know what to do with my parts from all that (going from thinking about them almost once a day to having to stop myself from ever thinking of it again was. extremely hard) and even thought about trashing the characters i had. after months of deliberating and trying to refocus the characters to be single and building up casts of all my own characters, i ended up liking the chemistry between some of them and the old ocs i almost threw away and decided to work that angle. the more i focused on these new characters (which id created to be a vent pit for the feelings i was trying to sort out irt all this) the more they fit into those archetypes i love, but i tried to lead them away from the ex friends characters.
but i did give one character brain damage, while i was trying to figure out what mine had done to me. ive been coping with it and what it did to me through them, but i remembered one ex friend gave their character brain damage as well. it feels like a sort of stand out trait and im worried if they ever see my shit again they will look at this and the archetype and use this as evidence im trying to steal their character or something. im not sure what is too similar. fwiw when they cut people off before in this sort of situation i know they would make fun of and kill off the other person's characters, so i know they've probably done that to expies of mine (one person liked to joke about doing this to one of my happier characters while we were still talking). for my part all i did was axe theirs from the story entirely.
tldr: i accidentally created characters that have similarities to ex friends' to fill in the holes for characters i didn't want to throw out. if i keep them, will i be an asshole?

Wig Seller Masterlist
Some people on were asking if I had a post about this and I didn’t, so I thought I’d make a big master post of wig companies I like! It’s in alphabetical order, with information about them listed afterwards. Currently I have fifteen brands on this list, but if I try and am really impressed by another, I’ll add it. I hope maybe one of them has that hard to find wig you’ve been searching for! I have the color samples for Arda, Assist, Classe, Coscraft, Cyperous, Kasou, and Swallowtail and am willing to help you check if a color from them is correct or not.
Airily
Japan only brand, so you’ll need a shopping service. Wide range of colors, including some that are hard to match in other lines, and a lot of base styles that I like more than other brands. Sells both wefts and lace front pieces. Lace hairline wigs are also available. Fit is medium (not particularly large or small). Price is higher. Swatch book not available.
Alice Garden/aiyaya
Amazon wig brand selling lolita/natural looking wigs. The variety is not good but if they have something that looks like what you need to wear with very little styling, you won’t get something as nice for the price! Styles are all very natural looking. Fit is on the smaller end of medium. Price is low. Swatch book not available.
Aoi Wig
Taobao brand doing character wigs, so a shopping service is required. These are hands down the best character wigs I’ve ever worked with. If you don’t want to do a ton of styling and they have the character you want, you literally cannot go wrong here. Fiber isn’t the world’s most durable but will hold up for multiple wears, and the price is good enough to make up for it. Fit is slightly small but larger than most taobao wigs. Price is a bit high for taobao but is still dirt cheap for what you get. Swatch books not available but the photo color is exceedingly accurate.
Arda Wigs
American based. One of the most common brands for a REASON! Wide range of colors in a wide range of styles. If you have a larger head or a lot of hair, this is your new best friend. They sell lace fronts but not individual lace pieces. The big problem with them, however, is the stock issues. Colors run out quickly so sometimes you have to compromise on which style you buy, or place an order from one of their sister sites in another country that actually has the color you need. (OOPS this is no longer an option anymore! Luckily there are a lot of Arda wigs secondhand online.) Nobody has as much hair in their wigs as they do, which can actually be a problem in some styles; be prepared to pluck lace fronts and use thinning shears. Fit is LARGE; they have the largest wigs in the market. Price is a bit high but not exorbitant. Swatch rings are available for both their fiber types
Assist
Japanese brand, ships worldwide but EMS/fedex only so you’ll probably want to group order. Nobody in the market has as many colors as Assist; between their premium and basic lines, they have over 600 colors! DO NOT TRUST THEIR PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY TO PICK COLORS; you need to buy their swatch books or ask a friend who has them to help you choose, because those photos can be criminally inaccurate. If you ever order from them, buy a bottle of Face Cover Glue and watch it change your life as “wig sticks away from face and face framing pieces move out of place” become a distant memory, and I adore their contacts! They sell wefts and lace pieces in their premium line but not their basic. Price varies; Premium line is a great price for what you get, but Basic is incredibly cheap (but not quite as good quality). Fit is small; based on how they fit my clients they’re the smallest of the Japanese brands and if you’ve ever found taobao wigs too small, assist will probably also be too small for you. Swatch books or rings are available and also required.
Blue Beard
Taobao character wig brand, so shopping service is required. Blue Beard wigs are all affordable and decent. You won’t ever get a bad wig from them, but I’ve found that their wigs tend to require a lot of maintenance. Wide range of characters! No wefts available. When you find stolen taobao wig photos, more often than not they’re stealing from Blue Beard. The photos are all color accurate, but you’ll typically need to do a lot of styling to make the wig match the photo. Price is great for what you get. Fit is medium to small. No swatches available.
Classe
Japanese brand that requires a shopping service but oh what a brand it is. Classe has a wide range of colors but where it truly excels is in the range of extra styling supply options. You can buy lace front pieces, yes, but you can also buy stand alone skin top pieces in center whorl or long for parts. No brand is as flexible with what you can do with their wigs, not by a long shot. Make sure to check out their styling blog! Even if it’s all in Japanese, the diagrams are clear and the techniques are genuine life savers. The fiber is beautiful and the website’s color suggestion feature where the desktop version tells you a list of characters they’d use this color for makes picking colors a lot easier. You’ll pay a lot for them, but what you get will be worth it. I’ve been using them a lot lately because no other brand’s fiber is as easy to make behave like human hair. Naturalistic wig stylists and cosmetology people, this brand is for you! Fit is up to 59cm (!!) and is roomy in the hairline coverage to the point some people have to trim the ear tabs a bit shorter, although it’s my personal comfiest fit. (Upon further testing: Classe’s fit is going to be perfect for you if you’ve ever tried an Arda lacefront and found it somehow a bit too big in the cap but too skimpy in the ear and hairline coverage at the same time.) Swatch books are available and affordable.
Coscraft
Based in the UK but ships worldwide despite being way too unknown outside Europe. Coscraft is an absolute gem of a site with a wide range of colors (more than 80!) with plenty of unusual color options that aren’t found anywhere else that doesn’t need a shopping service, a decently large variety of base styles to choose from, and wefts and separate lace front pieces and stick on skin tops in every color. Unlike every other cosplay brand on the planet, their lace front pieces come in dark brown lace for darker skinned cosplayers and not just beige! (The skin top pieces are only in beige so far but hopefully they will work on this.) Also for some reason they sell ridiculously inexpensive corset coutil so for all the craftsmanship people, new source acquired! Even if you’re outside of Europe, Coscraft is so nice that it’s hard to believe their prices. When the pound is up vs your currency, they’re shockingly affordable. When the pound is down vs your currency, the quality per money feels straight up illegal. This is my current go to cosplay wig site for a reason. Fit is larger medium; it won’t be too big or too small on most people. Color swatch ring is available.
Cyperous
Japanese cosplay wig source that theoretically ships EMS outside Japan but I haven’t been able to get that to work for years so shopping service it is. Pour one out for Cyperous; they’re clearly in decline but as one of the original heat resist brands, they’re still here and still worth ordering from while you can. Nobody has as beautiful and delicate blondes as Cyperous; their Milky and White Milky are the best blondes I’ve ever used. They have a nice selection of lace wigs and the much rarer lace bang wigs as well as regular wigs, and wefts of course. No other brand I’ve seen has synthetic wigs that photograph as much like real hair as Cyperous. They can tangle a lot as a result but it’s worth the upkeep. I have no idea how long they’ll keep limping along, but look them up before it’s too late. Price is high but reasonable for what it is. Fit is a true medium. Swatches used to be available and no longer seem to be, but the photos are pretty accurate to my ancient swatch ring and newer wigs.
Five Wits Wigs
Five Wits is the most criminally underrated of the American wig companies because most of their stock photos suck. They really, really, really suck. The photos are somehow incredibly color accurate but represent the wigs as pulled directly from bag and plopped onto someone’s head or a mannequin without even combing them in a flattering way. I wrote them off until I got to see their booth at a con and realized quickly that these wigs are wonderfully made with beautiful fiber that typically photographs like a dream (how do they get such bad stock photos?!) and is so easy to style! Five Wits mostly stocks character wigs, but many of them are versatile enough to use for tons of other things and they offer wefts for some of their colors. The owners are friendly, the service is great, the actual wigs are beautiful, the price for what you get is wonderful, but those dang stock photos keep people from noticing why Five Wits is one of my favorite suppliers! Price is great for what you’re getting, especially for an American brand. The fit is larger end of medium (very few people find it too big or too small). They don’t carry swatch books but every single stock photo, despite being terrible, is an incredibly accurate depiction of the color so feel free to judge colors accordingly.
Kasou
I almost hesitate to put Kasou on here considering that one of the problems with them is that their shipping when it’s from their Chinese warehouse is occasionally “good luck getting your wig”, and I disqualified another past favorite of mine for this, but Kasou squeaked onto this list for two reasons: 1) their fiber and wigs really are spectacular and 2) they have the ONLY Jolyne Kujo pre made wig that I don’t hate. Order from them with confidence that whatever you get will be nice, but keep in mind that there are enough people who’ve had issues with wigs from their Chinese warehouse that you want to give yourself months of lead time if you go that route. They have a decent if slightly expensive price range, medium cap fit, and they do offer swatches. I NO LONGER RECOMMEND KASOU. I still stand by their products being nice, but there have been too many extremely expensive packages lost in the mail with them refusing to refund/replace among cosplayers I know for me to put them as a recommendation. If you order from here, do it with caution.
L-Email / wig-supplier
Not everyone needs premium wigs for heavy styling all the time, and that’s where L-Email comes in. This Chinese-based seller that ships internationally will sell you decent character wigs and decent base wigs for an incredibly affordable price. Nothing from here is going to be spectacular, but if your budget is low and you’re willing to put in a bunch of effort to make up for that, what you need is just a plain wig without tons of styling, or you want a character wig that’s a bit easier to upgrade with extra styling work than other brands because the hardest parts are typically done for you, L-Email is a great option for you. They’re just all around decent, and sometimes that’s what you need. Fit is medium, prices are pretty affordable especially if you go in with friends for shipping, and there aren’t swatches but the photos are typically pretty color accurate.
Sepia
One of the absolute oldest wig companies based in America; every cosplayer active before 2007 has bought at least one Sepia wig. They’re still here though, and now they have some heat resist lace fronts! Their range of fantasy colors is pretty atrocious but if you want some beautiful natural colors, you could do worse than shop here, especially considering there’s at least one more expensive brand (that I’m not putting in this list) that sources lace fronts from Sepia and resells! Fit is medium, price is medium, I haven’t bothered to see if they have swatches because I’m an ancient cosplayer and have the typical Sepia color codes memorized.
Swallowtail
If you’ve heard of this Japanese (shopping service required) wig brand before, it’s probably because the canon wigs in My Dress-Up Darling all come from Swallowtail. There’s more reasons than flexing about how you have the canon Shizuku-tan wig to consider Swallowtail, though! They have a massive color range with a lot of colors I’ve seen nowhere else in the world, and while the fiber isn’t the world’s most durable and is a bit shiny for my tastes in some colors, they’re affordable enough to be a competitive option even if you have to use a shopping service from outside Japan. They offer a full range of wefts and lace pieces and clip ons and a wide variety of base styles. The fit seems to be pretty true medium, and they definitely offer swatches (in the most chaotic ring setup I’ve ever seen. You’ll want to resort that one fast.)
Sylvia_Wig
You can get a lot of decent lace fronts perfect for minimal styling on AliExpress, but Sylvia is my hands down favorite. If you need a natural looking lace front and you don’t want to spend tons of money, this seller is where you should be looking first. There aren’t any swatches or wefts, true, but the wigs have so much more lace than any of the American or Japanese cosplay wig brands, the caps run much larger than most taobao/aliexpress brands (comparable to Kasou or Five Wits), and there’s still plenty of hair to do more basic styles. The fiber is a bit thin and shiny, but it still photographs like a dream, and dollar for dollar you won’t find a better balance between quality lace front and budget friendliness than here. The hairlines are so natural that I have a few from here that haven’t required a single hair plucked to just… melt into my skin. There’s a reason this is my go to first source if I want a lace front and it’s not going to be heavily anime styled (like JoJo or Dragon Ball or whatever). Color stock photos are incredibly accurate; you can trust that what you see is what you’ll get!
since people have sent me asks about this: I do not recommend Epic Cosplay at all anymore. Their construction quality has drastically decreased in recent years to the point I keep getting people asking me to help fix Epic wigs that are literally falling apart, which is enough reason to not want to order from them, but they’ve also had a decade plus pattern of labor rights abuse and employee mistreatment including racism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, and pregnancy discrimination.

Y/N sat in the Alpha's office, grappling with the enormity of her new role as Luna and what it meant for her life in San Francisco. She was torn between the life she had built and the new responsibilities she had just been thrust into. It felt like an impossible choice.
Harry watched her closely, sensing the internal struggle she was facing. He knew this was a lot to take in, and he wanted to give her the time and space to process it all.
“You have questions,” Harry stated gently, breaking the silence that had settled between them.
Y/N nodded, her eyes reflecting the conflict within her. “Well… Yes. I'm honored to be your mate and to have this role, but my life is in San Francisco. I have a career, friends, a life there. I can't just leave everything behind.”
Harry sighed, understanding the weight of her words. “I understand, Y/N. It's a significant sacrifice, and I don't take it lightly. But being the Luna is crucial for the pack's survival, for my survival. Without a Luna to balance my leadership, the burden becomes overwhelming, and it ultimately takes a toll on me.”
He paused, collecting his thoughts. “The Luna represents balance, compassion, and stability in the pack. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our well-being and prosperity. But beyond that, your presence will bring unity and strength to our community.”
Y/N felt the weight of his words. She wanted to help, to be there for him and the pack, but it was an immense responsibility that came with significant personal sacrifice.
“What about our relationship?” Y/N asked, her voice tinged with worry. “Will we have time for each other, for love, amidst all these responsibilities?”
Harry took her hand, reassurance in his eyes. “Yes, absolutely. While being the Luna is a significant role, our relationship is equally important. We'll find time for each other, for love and companionship. Our bond will sustain us through these challenges.”
Y/N nodded, absorbing his words. She knew this was a difficult balance to strike, but she was willing to try. “And what about the people in San Francisco, the life I've built there?”
Harry sighed, knowing this was a delicate matter. “I won't ask you to abandon your life there. We can work on finding a balance that allows you to fulfill your responsibilities here while still maintaining connections and ties in San Francisco. It won't be easy, but with effort and understanding, we can make it work.”
Y/N appreciated his understanding and willingness to compromise. “I need time to think about all of this, Harry. It's a lot to process.”
Harry nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. “Of course, take all the time you need. I'm here to support you in whatever decision you make.”
Y/N's brows furrowed in confusion and concern as she absorbed Harry's words. The realization that she might not be a wolf after all left her feeling adrift. How could she be a Luna without the ability to shift or the instincts of a wolf?
“But... how is that possible?” Y/N asked, her voice betraying her confusion. "How can I be a Luna if I'm not a wolf?"
Harry looked pensive, pondering the same questions. "I don't have all the answers yet. I've been trying to unravel the mystery of your lineage. It's clear Richard, your father, is a human. But your mother's past remains elusive. I've searched our records, but there are gaps in the information."
Y/N was caught between a sense of relief that her confusion wasn't baseless and a rising worry about the implications of her unknown heritage. "What does this mean for me and for the pack?"
Harry leaned against his desk, the weight of the situation heavy on his shoulders. "It's uncharted territory, Y/N. A Luna who's not a wolf is unprecedented in our pack's history. But I believe in adaptability and strength. Being a Luna isn't solely about shifting; it's about being a pillar of support and guidance."
"But what if I can't fulfill that role properly?" Y/N voiced her fear.
"We'll navigate this together," Harry reassured, his gaze unwavering. "We'll lean on the traditions and values of our pack. Your humanity doesn't diminish your worth or the potential influence you can have."
Y/N absorbed his words, trying to find solace in his conviction. "So, what now?"
"We'll continue investigating your mother's past," Harry stated. "Perhaps finding out more about her will shed light on your abilities or lack thereof. It's a puzzle we'll piece together, step by step."
Y/N listened intently to Harry's words, absorbing the possibility that her connection to her wolf was somehow suppressed. It made sense in a way; she had never experienced the bond of a pack or the embrace of the moonlight on a nightly run as a wolf.
"So, you believe that being around the pack, spending time with you and Niall, might awaken this dormant aspect of me?" she asked, trying to wrap her head around the concept.
Harry nodded. "Yes, precisely. The bond with the pack, the camaraderie, and the unity we share — these are vital elements in helping your latent wolf nature come to the surface. It's a journey, Y/N, and we'll take it step by step."
Y/N sighed, feeling a mix of anxiety and hope. "I'm willing to try. But it's a lot to take in."
He placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I understand. We'll go at your pace. The pack is patient, and so am I."
Though the pack link, he was told that dinner had been served. It was tradition for everyone in the pack house to have a daily meal all together. It strengthens the pack especially for the younger wolves. Harry’s father had come up with the tradition.
“Hungry?” He asked her, “Dinner has been set downstairs. Come on”
“with everyone else?” She was nervous. Y/N felt like an outsider. She couldn’t believe that he wanted her to sit and have dinner with a bunch of strangers.
Harry extended his hand towards Y/N, a casual invitation to dinner, but as she hesitated, he gave her an encouraging smile. "Come on, it's just dinner. They won’t bite”.
She glanced at his outstretched hand, feeling a mix of uncertainty and a strange flutter in her chest. Harry had a presence that was hard to ignore, magnetic and captivating. It was no wonder he was the alpha.
After a brief pause, she took his hand, feeling an unexpected surge of warmth. The touch was electrifying, sending a shiver through her. Startled, she quickly pulled away.
"Is everything okay?" Harry asked, a look of concern in his eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Y/N stammered, slightly flustered. "Just... static electricity, I guess."
Harry chuckled softly, a knowing glint in his eyes. "Static electricity, huh? Interesting. Did it feel like a little shock or something more?"
Y/N hesitated, unsure of how to answer. She had indeed felt something more, a tingling sensation that seemed to spark a connection between them. It was a feeling she couldn't quite put into words.
"I'm not sure," she finally admitted. "It was just a brief sensation."
Harry nodded, seemingly accepting her explanation. "Well, let's head to dinner then."
As they walked towards the dining area, Y/N couldn't help but replay that moment in her mind. It was as if the touch had awakened something within her, a spark that she hadn't anticipated. She wondered if it was merely her imagination or if there was something more to it.
The dining area was bustling with activity, pack members chatting and laughing as they enjoyed their meals. Harry led her to a seat, and as they sat down, Y/N couldn't shake off the odd feeling from earlier.
The atmosphere in the dining room shifted palpably as Y/N walked in with Harry and people realized that she wasn’t part of the pack. Conversations hushed, and curious gazes followed their path. She could feel the eyes of the pack on her, evaluating, analyzing. The tension was thick, and it made her a bit uneasy.
As they reached the table, Harry pulled a chair next to him, indicating for her to sit. Despite the subtle nervousness, the pack remained respectful, their manners impeccable. It was evident that Harry's presence commanded a certain level of deference from them.
She sat down beside Harry, acutely aware of the attention she was receiving. Harry, being the charismatic alpha, handled the situation with ease. He greeted and acknowledged his pack members, introducing Y/N briefly.
"This is Y/N," he said, his voice carrying through the room. "She's a friend who's come to spend some time with us. I'd appreciate it if you all made her feel welcome." Harry decided to keep it short. He didn’t want to introduce her as the Luna just yet. He knew that if he did it would cause mayhem. He needed for Y/N to adjust first before throwing it out there.
The pack nodded in acknowledgment, their expressions shifting from surprise to warm smiles, accepting Harry's request without question. It was a display of the loyalty and respect they held for their alpha.
Y/N greeted them with a smile, trying her best to put them at ease. “It's a pleasure to meet you all.”
During dinner, Harry engaged her in conversation, sharing stories about the pack and its traditions. Y/N listened attentively, trying to absorb all the new information. She felt a growing sense of respect for Harry and the responsibilities he carried as the alpha.
As dinner progressed, she noticed the ease with which Harry interacted with everyone, his genuine care for the pack evident in every word and gesture. The admiration she felt for him grew, and she found herself drawn to his presence.

You wake up to knocking on your door. “Are you awake yet? The girls are here for you.” You check the clock and see that you overslept. As you hurriedly get dressed, they barge through the door. Momo, Mina, and Sana bust through you’re door; they had grown impatient waiting for you. They catch you in a compromised position, you’re trying to get your shirt over your head, and your shorts fall to your knees. You’re unaware that they are the ones that opened the door, however. “Close the door, will you?” You hear the door shut, and once you finally have your shirt on, you see who it is at the door. You try to cover yourself and pull up your shorts. “You could have at least said something when you opened the door.” 
Momo is the first to speak, “Relax; it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. We saw each other like this all the time as kids.” 
“Yeah, as kids. Things are different now.”
“How so?” Momo always loved teasing you; being the oldest between you all and always focusing on her fitness led to many moments of you two fighting, usually with you losing. Her want to work out and be fit caused her to challenge you a lot.
“I-it’s just different; we’re adults now” You get embarrassed at Momo’s question.
Sana chimes in, “But we’ll always be together!” Sana was cute, always cheery, and sometimes an airhead. She was the youngest of the sisters. You had a crush on her in elementary school; she knew that well and used it to tease you. She still does; you and the sisters decided to attend the same university. It was near home and offered great opportunities for all of you, but it meant you would endure Sana’s teasing with friends.
“Yes, Sana, but you guys can’t just walk into my room unannounced.” 
Mina spoke up, “Come on, let’s go. We need to get to the mall. We’re wasting time, and you said you’d spend the day with us”  Mina was the middle child and the quietest of the bunch. As children, she always spent time around you and would get aggressive if other kids tried to play with you. The two of you mostly spent your time together playing and watching movies. 
“I know, I know, just let me put on my shoes, and we’ll go” Today, you all went off to the mall, it was your usual place, and its closeness to the beach allowed you to walk there. 
Momo speaks again, “Right, well, we’ll wait for you in the car” As the girls leave before you, Sana takes a moment you slap your ass before scurrying out.  
“Sana!” you yell as you start chasing after her. Sana screams as you chase her down the stairs. She slips on the last stair and begins to fall when you grab onto her and hold her as you both hit the ground. You hold Sana in your arms while you get the wind back in your lungs. “Are you alright, Sana?” 
“Yeah, I’m okay. What about you?” 
“I’m fine” You let go of Sana, but she stays on your chest for a few seconds. 
That’s when Mina walks in. “Hey, everything alright? I heard something-” Mina stops when she sees Sans lying on top of you. She grabs Sana and has her get up. She kneels by your side. “Hey, are you alright?” There’s a softness in her voice as she checks on you.  She holds your hand and makes sure that you’re okay. “Don’t worry me like that” You feel your face turn red; this was the first time in a long while that Mina had shown you this kind of worry.  
“I’m fine, Mina. Just help me up” Mina helps you, and you make your way to the car. When you get in, Momo asks what happened in there.
“Just a bit of an accident; everyone’s fine, though.” 
“Alright then, let’s get going” Momo starts the car, and you all make your way to the mall. 
You already knew that Momo meant this trip for them; you’d be more of a packing mule. Each one of them had a distinctive style. Momo often wore workout gear; if there were any place you’d find her, it would be in the gym. Her gear tended to be more revealing, often just a sports bra and some tight leggings that accentuated her curves.  Sana often wore clothes that hugged her body. It was always something bright and colorful, much like her personality. Mina was the most different; she often wore dark baggy clothes. Oversized sweaters and jeans were more her style. 
At the end of every clothing store were more bags of clothes they bought. Your arms start to get tired from the weight of all the bags. You tell the trio you’re going to make a trip to the car to drop them off. “I’ll come with you, Momo, give me the keys” Momo hands over her keys, and Mina walks with you to the car. “Thanks for carrying all our bags; you must be exhausted.” 
“No, I’m fine. I’ve done this for years now.” You smirk saying that. It was true; for years, you had been the one carrying their bags. As you reach the car, Mina unlocks it and helps you place everything inside. As you finish, you take a deep breath, you may have done this for a long time, but it still makes you tired. 
Mina pats your back. “Good job,” her hand lingers there. She stares at you. Mina takes a step toward you, her hand on your chest. She brings her head to yours and suddenly brushes your hair. Her  voice stuttering, she says, “You had something in your hair.” 
“Oh, thanks for getting it,” You say that, oblivious to the fact that she was about to kiss you. As you make your way back to the mall, Mina makes sure she’s walking in front of you. As you try to get beside her, she speeds up to keep the distance between you two. “Mina, what’s wrong?” 
“Nothing, it’s nothing. We just have to get back to them,” Mina sputters out of embarrassment.  
You grab her hand. “Mina, you’re pushing yourself away again. What’s wrong?” Mina’s forced to look at you now; her face is red. “You know you can talk to me, Mina.” 
She looks down, and her voice is small as she says, “It’s nothing really; we can talk about it when we get home. ” 
“Alright, we’ll talk about it then” You pat Mina’s head and continue back to the other two. You didn’t notice Mina’s smile as you pat her head, her happiness at being treated like this. Once back with Momo and Sana, you realize they already had more bags for you. You sigh in defeat, knowing you’re right back where you started. 
“Don’t worry, we finished up; you just need to make another trip to the car, and we can head to the beach. Consider it your workout for today; after all, you need one” Momo was quick to say that she was always trying to get you to work out with her. You don’t respond and instead, take her and Sana’s bags. This time you go to the car by yourself and put everything away quickly. As you return to the group, you overhear them giggling about something. You overhear them say your name but can’t make out anything else.
“Hey, what did I miss?” They look at you before glancing at Mina for a split second.
“Oh, nothing. Come on, let’s go to the beach. We can watch the sunset.” Sana grabs your arm and holds it as she leads you to the beach. Momo is quick to grab your other arm in the same way. Mina ends up walking to the side of the three of you. You reach the top of the hill before the beach. You all take your usual spots at a nearby table. You had all carved your names into it as children. You all take a seat and look at the sight before you. The golden sands of the beach seem endless, and the water glimmers as the final bits of sunlight hit it. As you look at the sand on the beach meet the ocean, you remember all the time you spent here. You four would always sit here and just talk. As you look at Momo, Sana, and Mina, flashes of their younger selves appear, and you start to think about how much you’ve all changed over the years. The girls that you knew had grown up into beautiful young women. “Whatcha looking at?” Sana asks, breaking your train of thought for a second. You consider what to say to them and decide to be honest.
“All of you, You’ve all grown up to be beautiful women….” you realize what you’re saying and become embarrassed.
Sana is the first to jump on this. “Oh, you think we’re pretty? Do you have a crush on me again?” 
Momo comes in next. “Say that again; I want to hear you say that again.” It’s one of the few times you’ve complimented her.
Last is Mina. “You think I’m beautiful?” The honest question hits you the hardest. You look away for a second to gather yourself. 
“I think that you’re all beautiful” You make sure to look each one in the eyes as you say that. Each one has a different look in their eyes; Momo has a strong sense of confidence, Mina has a look of shock and happiness, and Sana has a devious look as if she sees an opportunity. “Let’s just watch the sunset,” You say, unable to find any other words. The sun goes down, and the world goes dark. The only remaining light is that of the street lamps. As you all begin to make your way home, you stare out the car's window, thinking about today.
As you reach your homes, you look over at Mina, and she nods her head. You both remember you agreed to talk. You help move all the bogs of clothing into the sister’s house. After you’re done, you walk to Mina’s room. It was always dark, besides the light coming from the corner. Her PC lights up the room with bright colors. You sit next to her on her bed. “So what was wrong, Mina?”
“Nothing, nothing’s wrong anymore” She gives you an honest smile. You’re slightly confused at what could have changed since then, but you’re glad that she seems better. 
“That’s good, and thanks for this morning” You pat Mina’s head. 
“I was just worried about you” In the silence after Mina’s words, she forces you to lay on her bed with a hug. 
“Mina?” 
“I-please” You don’t know what exactly she wants, but you stay there with Mina lying on top of you. Mina holds onto you laying her head on your chest.
“I-” There's a knock on the door as Mina is about to say something.
“Hey, we need some help moving stuff; get out here” It’s Momo that’s interrupted this moment between you and Mina. Mina stays on you, keeping you on her bed.
“I know you’re in there” Momo's voice grows louder.

Two months later
I pour some coffee into my work mug as I stood in the little break room of our office. I had my hair in a little half up half down style dressed in my pencil skirt, blouse and blazer. Two months ago it felt odd to go back to wearing corporate clothes, it seemed slightly foreign after two years of not wearing them. I had some of my old ones but chose to buy new suits for my new job. I thankfully got the job and didn’t have to move back in with my parents. Did I miss Graceland? Yes. Did I miss going out for a walk around the huge acres of land? Of course. I really missed the horses too. 
My parents and siblings were very happy to see me put my bachelor’s degree back in use that they all pitched in and bought me a TV. I was sick and tired of having only books and magazines as my source for entertainment that when it was finally delivered to my apartment I ordered McDonalds. I chose to go for the McChicken rather than the cheeseburger, I wasn’t ready to have that just yet. I turned on the TV and just watched movies all night while stuffing my mouth with fries.
I was thankful that I always kept a little of my money on the side as savings. Working for the man who shall not be named had it’s perks since I barely spent a dime living under his roof. The money that wasn’t going into my savings account went to Ella’s school. However, after signing the lease and getting cheap second hand furniture except for the mattress of course I had barely anything left in my bank account. Thankfully the first month of work flew by and I got my first paycheck. I made some friends at work but I couldn't bring myself to go out sometimes. 
The first two months in New York were filled with excitement of getting the job I’ve always dreamed off and tears because of a certain someone. 
After two months I realized this is what I worked for my entire life and now that I was here it wasn’t what I was expecting. Especially after making my mind up and choosing to be with him. To stay with him. I realized he was my dream. But now that was shattered. I still wanted him even after the words he threw at me. He killed my soul. I don’t think I’ll be okay for a long time. It will take some time to get over him. Elvis. 
Just thinking of his name instantly brought tears to my eyes in the break room. Fuck him. I blinked back the tears and walked back to my desk. I clicked on my keyboard, springing the computer back to life and typed in my password. 
I still talked to Grace, Janice and Jerry a lot. Those three were a constant in my life. I cried to Grace a lot the first night I got here. She was mad, I could tell from the tone of her voice but she let me vent, she let me speak the entire time. I was sobbing hysterically into the phone and she stayed with me for hours on the phone. 
The next time we talked, when I had actually calmed down, she told me what she thought. She cussed him out and did not believe a single word he told me.  I made it a point to not ask about him even though my heart pounded in my chest whenever we were about to end a call, I wanted to ask about him. Grace was really trying to push me to go out and get back into the dating scene. I couldn’t. Not for a very long time.

She refused for a while to go to Graceland but I told her it was fine. She should go and bond with the other wives and have fun. When she started going to Graceland again, it made me want to ask about Elvis even more especially since she wasn’t talking about him at all.
She never told me if she did end up giving him a piece of her mind. When it came to Grace I knew she probably said something because she can’t keep her mouth shut even if she tried. Bless her. I love Grace. 
I was thriving in my new job I loved it but I realized it wasn’t my dream anymore. But it’s okay, I’m still young and dreams can change. I hated that I allowed my mind to wander to Elvis. Him being my husband, the father of my kids, us growing old together. I realized during the four months we were together my dreams had shifted to that. It made the hole in my heart feel even bigger than it already was. I can’t believe my dream had shifted from being a career driven woman to a wife, a mother. I wanted that. But only with him. Never with any other guy. My career always came first.
I looked out of our floor to celling windows, looking out at the city. This city. I love New York, I love being in the city. This view was everything. Every romcom was filmed in this city, it made me fall in love with New York even more. 
Still even after two months, whenever I was alone I would retrace everything that happened that night. What led Elvis to say those words, to end things. I never expected it. Was my head so up in the clouds that my brain refused to realize that Elvis wasn’t on the same level as me? 
Love clouded my judgment. 
At 5 PM sharp Ben walked over to the elevators with his work bag slung over his shoulder. He turned and made eye contact with me before smiling and nodding his head towards the elevator. I nodded and packed my things before following him into the elevator.
We met up with the rest down stairs. Haley from legal, Sara, another consultant (one of us) and Nate also from legal. I hadn’t met Haley nor Nate before so I was excited to be making more friends in the city. It was kind of lonely in the beginning. They seemed nice. Usually people from legal were boring but these two were very funny and sweet. 
We went for some drinks, my drink of choice of course being a virgin Pina Colada. Everything reminds me of him. However, I didn’t let that put a damper on my mood. I got to know everyone a little better and I actually had fun. They didn’t know about my pervious relationship, my heartbreak  and they didn't have to. I got to pretend to be the old Jess. My heart clenched in my chest but I smiled regardless “Nope. No boyfriends or girlfriends and not anytime soon anyway.”

“You could say that.” I chuckled “I’m in a new place, a new job, meeting new people. I need to enjoy this time of my life without being in a relationship… or a situation-ship.” 
They all chuckled, getting my drift. I didn't want to talk about it. 
“Hey I’ll cheers to that!” Nate cheered “I just got out of a 5 year relationship, she cheated on me!”
We all cheered but when we heard the last sentence we all went “Oh.” mid cheers, our drinks in the air.
“No, it’s okay! I’m totally fine.” Nate said trying to give us a bright smile.
“I’m sorry Nate.” I said and squeezed his shoulder. 
“Thank you.” He gave me a small smile. 
Cheating really grinds my gears. I don’t understand it and I never will. Why destroy a person you claim to love? Why keep them on the back burner when you’re out messing with someone else. Just end the relationship or work on it if you’re feeling distant. 
I know Elvis was the cheating type so I had my restrictions at the beginning when it came to him. But he showed me time and time again that he only wanted me. Only for that to explode in my face a few months later. He truly made me believe every word he whispered in my ear late at night. All those little kisses and cuddles. The way his eyes would shine brightly when he’d look down at me with such adoration and earnest. He didn’t cheat on me but he made me feel like I was nothing. 
I wanted to give Nate a hug but I don’t really know the guy and he’s a colleague so that would be weird and awkward. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I wanted to hug him because I wish someone was there to hug me when everything unraveled with Elvis. I didn’t have anyone in New York to cry on, yes I cried to Grace on the phone but I wanted (needed actually) someone to just hold me while I cried. And I hoped Nate had someone to cry on. 
I invited them over on Saturday because I really liked them, they seemed like genuinely nice people. 
“Just an FYI my apartment is tiny.” I informed them. I had a small open living room / kitchen area and a small bedroom and bathroom. 
“It’s okay, we all live in shoebox apartments.” Sara waved me off. 
“It’s New York! People who don’t live in shoebox apartments either have rich parents or are old rich people.” Ben joked. 
I got back to my apartment just in time to hear my landline ringing.
“Hello.” I answered. 
“Hey! You sound happy!” Grace said cheerfully. 
“I am. I made some new friends at work and they’re really nice!” I grinned, leaning against the kitchen counter since my landline was on the kitchen counter. 
“That’s great Jess.” She said softly. I could imagine her with little smile on her face “Are you feeling like you’ll stay there for a while?”

“After getting to know you for the past two years I don’t see you as a city girl.” She chuckled.
“Yeah I also realized this. I’d rather live in the country side and every once in a while come to visit the city because at the same time I love New York.”

After a beat, I asked the dreaded question. I didn’t know anything about him for the past 2 months. 
“How is he?” I asked, my voice barely above whisper. Like it was a forbidden question to be asked. 
“Honestly?” She asked.
“Yes. Don’t give me a bullshit answer how he misses me or whatever the hell.”
“Jess.” She sighed “He does miss you.”
“Grace.” I shook my head, looking out at my living room “Please. If he’s happy and he’s seeing some new girl, just tell me.”
“I swear Jess. I-I don’t know how to explain it but I think he’s miserable.”
I gulped, tears springing to my eyes. I didn’t believe her. I wish it was true. I wish he’s crying regretting ever letting me go. Crying because he misses me just as much as I miss him. Crying like I cried the past two months, in absolute misery. 
Am I a bad person to want him to feel just as miserable as I do?
“He’s sad and very quiet.”
“He was sad before I left. I don’t think that has anything to do with me.” I reminded her. 
“No Jess. Even when I went off at him a few weeks ago he just… let me. He didn’t say anything and when Jerry tried to stop me, Elvis told him not to. I actually felt slightly terrible for saying the things I said to him.” Grace continued. 
I shook my head, looking up at the ceiling and blinking back my tears. 
“I-I don’t know.” I sighed “I shouldn't have asked about him.”
“Are you happy?” She asked me after a bit.
“Happy?” I chuckled, with no humor whatsoever “What’s happy?”
“Jess.” She said sadly.
“I’m okay Grace. Happy is too big of a word right now. Yes, I do have happy moments and I’m living for those right now. Overall? I don’t know.” 
“You deserve to be happy, Jess.”
I smiled and nodded “Thank you. And I will be.”
“I have to tell you something also.” Grace said.
“What?” I asked, panic bubbling in my stomach. 
“No, it’s good!” She laughed “I’m pregnant!”
“No way!” I yelled and jumped up “Grace! Oh my god! I’m so happy for you!” I was now crying happy tears, knowing that they’ve been trying to get pregnant for a while.
“Thank you. Don’t cry!” She scolded but I could tell she was also crying with me. 
“Okay, now I’m actually happy.” I chuckled “Oh Grace, please tell Jerry I say congratulations and that I’m gonna be the best Aunt to that little munchkin.”
“Will do.” She chuckled “Happy moment?” 
“Very happy moment, Grace.” I was grinning from ear to ear. 
I was so excited to be hosting people to my tiny apartment. I went shopping for snacks and drinks. I got a bottle of wine, chips, chocolate, cheese, crackers and meat for a cheeseboard and then we could order pizza for dinner. 
Early Saturday morning was filled with me bouncing around my apartment, clearing the kitchen from the different papers from work, books thrown haphazardly over my coffee table. 
I’d been so busy the entire day, cleaning and genuinely excited to be seeing them even though I saw them yesterday at work. I was so busy that Elvis only crossed my mind once. Only when I passed the drinks isle and saw Pepsi bottles. 
The conversation I had with Grace on Thursday still lingered in my mind though. Elvis being sad. I didn’t believe it but I know Grace and she wouldn’t lie to me just to tell me something I would like to hear. I felt so selfish to want him to hurt like I hurt. I wanted to be the more mature, bigger person who wishes the person they love is happy. Of course I want him to be happy. I will always care about him but he hurt me so bad, I wanted him to feel even 20% of what I felt when he broke my heart in pieces. 
Why would he be sad though? He ended it. He told me I was convenient and pathetic for wanting someone who didn't want me. 
I got dressed into some jeans, a white button down long sleeve, tucking it into my jeans and put a white headband on my dark hair. 
Slowly everyone trickled in, the girls showing up first and the guys later. They brought beer and more chips with them. Sara brought cookies. I was liking them more already. Food is really the way to my heart. 
We sat around the talked, getting to know each other more. 
“Am I getting old or what, because I prefer this over going to a bar.” I joked “Except if its a honky tonk.” I said without thinking, instantly causing my smile to falter. It reminded me of Elvis. Damn this man. 
“You like honky tonks?” Ben laughed.
“Love em!” I chuckled, trying not to put a damper on the mood. 
“Was it something you used to do with the ex?” Haley asked.
“Why do you ask?” I chuckled awkwardly.
“You got that look on your face.” Sara added.
“Yeah, it was something we used to do together. It was so much fun.” I said. 
“But yeah! I totally agree! We’re definitely getting old and loud places are just not as fun.” Haley replied. 
As the night went on, we decided to order pizza and watch a movie. I heard a knock on the door and I quickly jumped up from the couch, I was filling up on snacks so I couldn’t wait for the pizza to get here, chips and chocolate was making me sick and I couldn’t control myself. Although greasy pizza is bound to make me feel even more sick.
They continued talking as I dashed into my bedroom to get cash and then went over to the door. I don’t swing the door fully open just in case. I did live in a sketchy neighborhood and I always made some scenarios up in my mind of people dressing up as delivery guys before bursting into your house and murdering you. I kept the deadbolt on and pulled the door open. 
“Hi.” I smiled and then quickly shut the door. I placed a hand on my chest, my eyes wide. I felt like I was about to puke. I reached for the deadbolt and removed it quickly before opening the door and walking out into the hallway, shutting the door behind me.
“Elvis?” I asked quietly. My heart beating out of my chest. 
Was I dreaming? What the heck is Elvis Presley doing standing in the hallway of my apartment complex. Here he was, looking like a dream as usual. Screw him for being the most beautiful man on the planet. His dark hair was pushed back, he seemed paler than usual but he stood tall. He was dressed in black pants and dark green button down. My eyes were wide in confusion. 
His eyes were glassy “Hi.” He whispered. The corners of his mouth turning down slightly, his lower lip trembled slightly. It’s as if just seeing me brought instant tears to his eyes.
“What-” I let out an audible breath “What are you doing here?”
“I missed you.” He whispered, taking a step forward.
I scoffed and took a step back “No. You don’t get to do that. You don’t get to show up here two months later claiming you miss me. Cut the crap, Elvis.”
“But I did. I do miss you.” He gulped.
I scoffed again, shaking my head, looking down the hall to make sure no one was just standing around watching us.
“Jess!” I heard Ben’s voice shout from inside the apartment “Are you okay? What’s taking so long?”
Shit. I quickly opened the door and peaked my head in “I’m fine, it’s not the pizza. Give me a second.” 
Ben gave me a thumbs up before I shut the door again and faced Elvis who now had a panicked look on his face, his eyes wide and his jaw slack. 
“Who-who was that?” He asked, his face morphing into something of heartbreak.
“No one.” I said with a clenched jaw.
“A-Are you seeing someone?” He whispered.
“None of your business.” I was getting really pissed off because who the heck does he think he is, showing up here and being upset that I could possibly be with someone else after he dumped me. 
“Oh my god.” He whispered, a placed a hand over his chest, his eyes getting even wider. He gulped and pulled on his collar as if it was suffocating him. He took a loud breath, turning away from me and leaning his head against the wall “I can’t breathe.” He choked out. 
Shit. I reached for his shoulder and pulled him to face me “What’s happening right now?” I asked, I cupped his cheek and looked into his eyes.
“I can’t-“ He was trying to take deep breaths but was failing. And I started to panic.
“Come on, let’s get you outside.” I said and quickly pulled him down the hallway and down the stairs, out onto the street. 
“Hey.” I cupped his cheeks with both of my hands. He placed his hands above mine “Breathe please. Follow my lead. In.” I took a deep breath, Elvis copying me “Out.” And we did that several times before he visibly relaxed.
“Are you okay?” I asked, rubbing my thumb over his cheek. I missed him so much. I missed holding him like this. 
“No.” He said quietly. His eyes looking directly into mine.
“I’m not seeing him. I’m not seeing anyone.” I told him. He leaned his forehead against mine and I let him for a second. I closed my eyes, I missed this closeness with him and only him. 
I let myself get lost in his touch before I remembered the words he had thrown at me two months ago, it doused me like ice cold water. I sighed and pulled away from him. He eyes snapped open and once again he gave me those puppy dog eyes when he was looking for forgiveness. 
“Why is he in your apartment?” He asked.
“You have no right to ask me that.” I reminded him before walking up the steps that lead to the small lobby of the apartment complex “And it’s not just him, it’s a group of colleagues. Girls are there too.” 
“Jess. Please don’t go.” Elvis said and grabbed my hand. 
I turned towards him and shook my head “You need to go Elvis. You’ve hurt me enough. Please leave me alone.” I whispered. 
“I’m so sorry.” He whispered, his eyes getting glassy once again. 
I pulled my hand out his grasp and continued walking before I turned around to face him “How did you know where I live?” 
“I can’t say.” He gulped, avoiding my eyes. 
Was it Grace or Jerry? They’re the only people in Elvis’ circle who knew where I lived. Grace wouldn’t say anything though, would she?
“Wait! You forgot these at the house.” He said and pulled an envelope from his back pocket.
“What’s that?” I asked, confused. I checked every drawer and nook and cranny a million times before I left, there's no way I forgot something.
“You left our photos in the drawer and I also got the pictures from Hawaii developed.” He said. 
I clenched my jaw, narrowing my eyes at him “I left them on purpose. I don’t want them.”
“Why?” He whispered “Do you want to forget we ever happened?” His voice wavering as he spoke.
“Yes, Elvis. I want to forget we ever happened.” I gulped, tears springing to my eyes. I wanted to forget that we ever happened because the pain of it all was too strong. 
His face was so hurt, as if I was the one that ended it. As if I was breaking his heart right now “Jess.” He said, his lower lip trembling, his eyes mimicked mine and filled with tears and sorrow.
”In fact I want to erase the past two years out of my memory.” I said, my voice cracking slightly “And you don’t get to come here like an injured little puppy, like I was the one that hurt you.”
It pissed me off that he would show up here and act like he didn’t break me, giving me those eyes when he knows he fucked up and is looking for forgiveness. I don't think I can ever forgive the words he said. Those words ran through my mind all the time. 
Pathetic. Convenient. Desperate. 
They haunted me before falling asleep and they haunted me in my dreams.
“Don’t come back here, Elvis. I don’t want to see you again.” I said as a tear slipped out of my eye and rolled down my cheek before I finally went back in. That was a complete lie, my heart did not want that but I let my brain take the wheel this time. My heart did enough damage to itself. 
I wanted to get into bed and cry. Instead I took a deep breath, leaning my head against the wall, closing my eyes for a second. Then I wiped my tears and forcibly plastered a smile on my face before walking back into my apartment and pretended I was fine until they left. That’s when I allowed myself to cry again over him, like I do almost every night. But this time it was different. It hurt seeing him. It still didn't register in my mind that I actually saw him today after two months, that I touched him, that my lips were a few inches away from his lips. It hurt to see him hurt. I thought I would feel better if I knew he was hurting like me. Why was he hurting? He had a full blown panic attack at the thought that I had moved on with someone else. 
I fell asleep while crying, I decided to stay at home on Sunday and just sit around my apartment. I know I should go out and go for a walk but I was scared that Elvis was outside and at the same time I was hoping he was still outside. I just chose to not find out if he’s still here or if he went back to Memphis. I had a day in, I baked some cookies and watched movies. Really just took a day for myself. Opened up the windows and sun bathed in my living room. Also a bonus of this apartment, I got direct sunlight. 
The next day I got up super early, made myself some breakfast and coffee. I put some music on and got ready for work. I hated Monday mornings but starting your day right definitely helped.
I swung my bag over my shoulder, dressed in a matching sage green pencil skirt and blazer and a white button down. I had my hair down and pushed back by a headband. I locked my door and headed down stairs and out onto the street.
“Good morning.” 
I turned, my face scrunched up in confusion “You’re still here?” I asked when I spotted Elvis leaning against a pole.
“Yeah and I’m not going anywhere. Not without you.” He said.
I scoffed and shook my head at him “What do you think you’re doing Elvis?”
“I got you coffee.” He said and moved towards me, he had two take away cups of coffee and handed me one. 
“I don’t want coffee.” I grumbled, hating my heart for beating faster and the butterflies that erupted in my stomach at the fact that he was still here. He didn’t leave. I hated myself right now. 
“Take it Jess.” He said.
I frowned and took it from him, turning to walk down the street towards my job. I heard his footsteps following along “What are you doing?” I asked turning my head to see him walking behind me.
“Walking you to work.” He replied. 
“Don’t bother.” I grumbled and as I passed a trash bin, I threw the coffee he gave me. 
Was I being petty? Yes. 100%. Did I care? Not really. 
The same thing happened when I got back from work 8 hours later. Elvis was still standing there. I rolled my eyes and passed him to get into my building, pretending like he wasn’t there leaning against the lamp post like he did earlier.
“I’m gonna stay here no matter how long it takes.” He said when I walked past him “If it takes weeks, months or years. I’ll be here.” 
I bit my lip and pushed the door open, walking into my building. He didn't follow me, he stayed outside. He was respecting my boundary at least. 
I unlocked my door and walked into my apartment to see a dozen bouquet of flowers in vases covering my floor. My jaw dropped at the amount of sunflowers that covered my living room and kitchen. My favorite flowers. How the heck did he put them inside? 
I frowned and opened the window, peeking my head through the window to look down at him. I was only two stories up.
“How the heck did you get into my apartment?” I called out with a frown on my face. Forget about respecting my boundaries. 
“I’m Elvis Presley.” He called out, grinning as he looked up at me. That damn shit eating grin on his face pissed me off.
I huffed through my nose, shaking my head at him “You’re an asshole.” I said and took one of the bouquets out of the vase and chucked it out of the window, aiming at him. 
“Hey! At least I didn’t stay in there!” He said, dodging the flowers. I kept the rest because they were too pretty to throw away “I could've stayed in there and surprised you!”
“Oh thank you so much for that consideration! I am so thankful!” I said sarcastically.
“At least you’re talking to me, I’m taking whatever I can get.” He shrugged.
I huffed again and slammed the window shut.

More Dragalia Minor Details!
This time, quotes edition!
I think it's interesting how Leonidas and Phares both have a sort of speech pattern in their unit quote spread as well as their general dialogue. Leonidas is the simpler one to explain, so I'll start with him. He utilizes a lot of 'Perhaps' in his quotes.
Ex, among his Gala and Summer alts, he says:
Perhaps I ought to make arrangements for the decisive battle that awaits. My brother has acquired many useful pawns. His good-naturedness perhaps has merit. Perhaps I'll go surfing. Perhaps curry for supper? Perhaps I will stop in at the cafe.
If I read into it, I might say it is a reflection on his focus on the future. Leonidas is always looking for paths to make his ideals reality, and how he acts in the present is all in fulfillment of his aims. As such, evaluating each action under how it might help said goals might be more on his mind (even when it comes to things like leisure, 'would my goals be hindered if I do so/could I accomplish something to further my aims if I did?'), leading to the overuse of perhaps.
In a broader sense, Leonidas tends to flip-flop verbally between simple, short sentences, rarely busting out the flowing complicated ones one might expect as the standard 'royal' speech patterns. Sometimes he compromises between the two worlds and throws complicated words into short sentences to get his mood across succinctly.
Here's what I mean.

Phares, meanwhile, has his own fixation on a word. Several, in fact. The biggest are 'must' and 'will', but in general sentiment, he has another tendency. It's a bit hard to describe, but while he is future-focused like Leonidas, he expresses it more in concrete terms of what to do, with no true 'deliberation' found in Leonidas' 'perhaps'.
Take these lines from his unit (emphasis mine as I try to illustrate):
My next experiment will be... I must procure a book. I must make record of this. I swear to find a treatment for wyrmscale so the tragedy of our royal family is never repeated. How many times have I envied Valyx's stoutness? I shall have to ask him for some training. I should have died, but was kept alive. My task now is to show the meaning of that to the world. I shall support you. I will not let you die here! I will investigate truth, and contribute to the people until the life granted to me is ended.
Hopefully this helps give an idea of what I mean. There's no real deliberation about his next action; he has already decided, and is dead-set on doing so unless and until it kills him. It's an interesting departure from Leonidas, since Leonidas himself is rather blunt and similarly dead-set at times but still hedges a lot more than Phares.
As for his general speaking style, Phares, whether using short or long sentences, more frames things in a bit of an atypical way than necessarily using complex words all the time. Like, instead of, 'no need to be formal / no need for formalities' he instead will say, 'there is no need for formalities among we fellows of science'. Don't get me wrong, he uses more complex/rarer words often, but they're not an absolute prerequisite to the atypical wording, if you get my drift.

To explain these tendencies, I'd simply line it up with his many brushes with death in the recent past. By the end of Phares' adventurer story, he's almost died an additional 2-3 times, and that's not counting his previous issues with wyrmscale and the Progenitor. He knows just how tenuous life is, and yet wishes to do so much in the future to capitalize on the many near-saves he's had. To him, he likely no longer has the luxury of indecision at all: what he wants (to live, to protect his family, the world, to learn more), he will manifest it through determination alone.
Heck, even his adventurer story ends on this, highlighting the 'will' tendency:

So yeah, when I noticed these two had a particular flair to their style of speech, I figured I'd write it down! Maybe I'll find something more for some of the other family members, but these two were the most glaring with the repetition.

 345 new items (including sofas, tables, decor, windows, doors and much much more!)

 Custom original names and descriptions. (the best I could come up with :P)

 Included are a couple of easter egg items from The Sims 2 that I thought fit the theme well.

ABOUT THE LOT:
The lot will be eventually uploaded in the gallery once it passes its finishing stages. You will be able to find it in the gallery under my EA id: @simsi45_mods. I will update you all once it becomes available.
NOTES:
~ The pack is in an EARLY-ACCESS STATE! I have dedicated a lot of time to test everything but I'm a team of just a single person. If you find any issues please let me know so I can take a look.
~ Because of the amount of items the size of the pack is quite big. I tried my best to make everything as compact as possible with the final size being 1.5 GB of required free space. 
~ The majority of the meshes and textures of these items are ripped straight from the LIS: Before the Storm game, and then each individual item (both mesh and textures) has been heavily modified and edited to fit and function properly within the Sims 4 game's engine. That's why some items will look identical to the original game, some look somewhat different, and some are brand new meshes I made using the original items.
~ Some of the original ripped meshes' poly counts were WAY too high so I had to lower the polygons so The Sims 4 wouldn't explode when filling a lot with them. I lowered the polygons and edited most of the items as much as possible without compromising their original look too much. In other words I tried to find the best balance between looks and performance and after lots of testing on my moderate PC system, I can confirm the game runs super smoothly on my end.

BACKSTORY ABOUT THE PACK (no spoilers):
This pack started with an idea I got back in 2017 when I first played Life Is Strange Before The Storm. When visiting the Amber house, I immediately fell in love with it as I am huge fan of the craftsman architectural style, it's literally all I'd want my dream house to be. The art team has done an incredible job on it, and as I personally find the art style of the Life is Strange series and The Sims 4 to fit very well with each other, I wanted to make these assets available for The Sims 4. Of course back then this all seemed impossible, however a few years later in 2020 during quarantine I revisited the idea as it had been stuck on my wishlist ever since.
To make a long story short, this project has been in the works for about 3 years now, and after a lot of hard work, head scratching and quite a few sleepless nights I managed to overcome all the obstacles I came across (which were a lot mind you) and I'm honestly hoping you'll be as pleased with the results as I am. Seriously this exceeded my expectations as it started as a small little pack for my personal use, to what I'd consider an expansion pack's (or even more) worth of build/buy content.
INSTALLATION:
Due to the size of the pack I had to split it up into multiple parts. You will need a .RAR extractor unpack it. More specifically:
1 -> Download ALL 6 parts of the pack and put them ALL in the same folder. 2 -> Right click the 1st part .RAR file named "Simsi45 - The Sims 4 Amber House Pack.part1" and click "Extract Here"   3 -> Once that's finished a package file will appear, this is the entire pack and you can now move that into The Sims 4/Mods. Simple as that!

quick start ranting about ai-generated fanfics
extremely funny but absolutely should not be posted if made entirely by ai because nobody wants to read that
but stuff like “every other paragraph of this story is ai generated” is fun for the reader and writer so i fully endorse posting shit like that
ai is also pretty helpful just as a writing assistant. how do i word this sentence more coherently? how do i make this premise more engaging? how do i describe this thing more simply? the majority of my fanfics have had some sort of ai influence for like, 1 sentence
ai is also great for researching when you need info for a fanfic. like when i’m doing setting i often ask chatgpt about my options
fully ai generated fanfics are funny to send to your friends though. i’m sure you remember “Remillia Scarlet Verifies Bloodbath” that you did a reading of while i was playing celeste in vc
not to mention chatgpt has such a soulless and generic writing style with absolutely zero significant detail which makes everything so much funnier because it’s so machinelike. and it just gets stuff wrong a lot of the time
i think the convenience makes it fun to do with friends too. hey chatgpt write me a fanfic about hecatia lapislazuli and junko arguing over who gets custody of clownpiece. make it really serious and sad also include dialogue

Hecatia, her voice stern yet tinged with sorrow, declared, "Clownpiece deserves a realm of laughter and whimsy. Gensokyo is the perfect place for her, where joy intertwines with the fantastical."
Junko, her eyes flashing with determination, countered, "No, Clownpiece belongs to the Lunar Capital. There, she can embody the purity of the moon, untouched by earthly chaos. It's her true celestial destiny."
Clownpiece, caught between these powerful entities, looked down with a heavy heart. "I just want to make people smile. I never meant for this to happen," she whispered, her voice a fragile melody.
As the argument escalated, the once jovial atmosphere of Gensokyo grew somber. Hecatia's gaze softened as she spoke, "Junko, can't we find a compromise? Share custody and let Clownpiece experience both realms, a bridge between joy and serenity."
Junko hesitated, but a flicker of agreement crossed her face. "Very well, Hecatia. But Gensokyo must respect the Lunar Capital's influence on her upbringing."
The celestial beings reached an uneasy accord, and Clownpiece, though torn, felt a glimmer of hope. As she floated between realms, the cosmic dispute left a lingering sorrow, a reminder of the sacrifices made for her uncertain destiny.

Sony A7CII Thoughts After Two Months

PROS:
The A7C was already one of my favorite cameras of all time and this improves on it a lot more than I thought when just seeing the specs. The added front dial alone makes it many times easier to control than the older model, and lets me use my typical Sony setup that I’ve grown accustomed to (aperture on front dial, shutter speed on rear dial, and ISO on the scroll wheel). 
This is the quickest operating Sony camera I’ve owned. I think they kind of lulled me into forgetting how fast cameras can be going from off to on and taking photos. The A7RII was slow as heck with each subsequent model I’ve owned getting faster and faster (A7III to A7C to A7RIV). This new Sony is at a level of speed that makes it hard to go back to using the A7RIV which I still own (for now). 
The autofocus is superb. I still haven’t really put it through its paces since I got the camera in the winter and the lack of light plus uncooperative weather has made it tricky to go out and shoot, but from what I have shot it’s nearly flawless. It’s way better than any camera I’ve owned before. It also has some really neat autofocusing modes, like the ability to focus on the eyes of birds. I’m not really around birds close up all that often but it worked really well at an exotic bird place in Jersey I went to recently. 
The camera is 33 megapixels, which is a nice compromise between feeling like it’s sometimes too much (61) or too little (24). 
The in-body image stabilization is really good. It’s certainly the best I’ve used in any camera so far…although to be fair I’ve never used a Nikon/Canon/Fuji/Olympus body with IBIS, only Ricoh (GRIII), Panasonic (GX7 and GX85), and Sony. 
It can lower the shutter when switching lenses so dust doesn’t get in there. Not gonna lie it seems kind of dangerous and something that could potentially damage the shutter, but so far it’s kept the dust out. 
CONS:
The viewfinder isn’t great. I’ve never really been an EVF snob since I’ve been shooting on mirrorless EVFs for over a decade now (I had a V1 back in 2013), but going from the A7RIV to this makes it kind of stick out. I also recently handled an A7RV, which really blows it out the water. With autofocus lenses it’s no problem, but using manual focus lenses is more difficult. On the plus side, it automatically goes into peaking mode when you manually focus, even when using adapted lenses or lenses without electrical contacts. 
The camera only has one card slot. Not a huge dealbreaker considering every other camera I own aside from my A7RIV is the same in that regard. A second slot even if it was a micro would have been great though. A nice thing about the A7RIV is that I’ve never left home without a memory card because even if I forget one there’s always another in there. 
No joystick. Again, not completely necessary but it’s nice to have. Most of my subjects aren’t humans (or animals, or other things that the camera can instinctively detect) so there are plenty of times I want to position the focus point myself. 
Slow flash sync and shutter speed. This camera is like the A7C before it in that it only flash syncs up to 1/160. It also only shoots up to 1/4000.
Still don't love the flip screen because it makes quick waist-level shooting a pain in the ass. I wish they went with the A7RV style screen.
Speaking of, all the new perks on this camera make me want to use it a ton more than my A7RIV, but it also makes me want to get an A7RV. Maybe I'll sell my X100V since the prices are nuts right now...

Hi Hazel! I know it’s probably more a signal that I should just put down my phone instead of checking how people say on social media, but I do begin to question my perception of Mitch Evans driving. Is his actually more of a reckless style and more prone to accidents compared to the grid overall? How would the accident today affect the relationship between him and the team (and potentially his future teammate)? I’m sorry if the questions are too disturbing :( Thank you!
you're welcome to ask me stuff :) I realise I sometimes take literally months to answer things but I'm always happy to get questions. the hate essays less so but I guess swings and roundabouts.
honestly like, not to be a twitter bloke but: these people do not know wheel. Mitch, throughout his entire time in Formula E - a series with crashes well above the average - has always been a clean driver. there's maybe a handful of incidents, in all the races he's done, where he's had significant or even balanced amounts of blame.
early on in his FE career Mitch had to be patient, in a significantly substandard car. the Season 3 Jaguar was barely built and very inefficient, in order to get points in it he had to bide his time and wait for opportunities and that was something he got really good at.
his driving style is about the most confident you can be while driving a Formula E car. he's not messy, he doesn't do questionable overtakes. take this Season 4 one from Punta del Este; the Jaguar was a pretty mid car compared to the Virgin (Sam Bird, after all, took the latter to title contention) but this was such a great move on Alex Lynn.
Mitch has never played the bumper cars game and he doesn't clatter drivers. he's sustained an astonishingly low amount of damage over his career, a few apocalyptic incidents like his car failing to move in Berlin aside.
so: no, he does not have a reckless driving style and he's generally a very safe driver to go wheel to wheel with. the only time I can think of that it's really got argumentative was with Sam in Diriyah but - and with the absolute greatest love and respect for the bloke - Sam definitely does have a terrier style of driving where he worries and worries at the other car until they give way.
I don't think that today will have an impact on his relationship to the team. Mitch knows this was his fault but it was a small error, a minor misjudgement that saw the car slide (and I actually think he's over-blaming himself because there was a lot of cement dust at turn seven) and the team are not going to reject him or disparage him for it.
this has been a painful, painful year for Jaguar as a whole team. Mitch lost a result today but he's had two taken from him by his teammate and others compromised by issues. there's going to be a long, difficult period of digestion at Gaydon and of course, lessons going forwards but Mitch making one minor misjudgement is just part of how motorsport works.
what they care about is that his car didn't flip, it wasn't as bad an accident as for a second it looked like it was about to be.
