a few days ago i went on a ride along with two police officers, as extra credit for my criminal justice class. i never liked cops but i saw this as an opportunity to change my perspective on the issue. after the ride along though….. i realized……
i was absolutely correct. cops are terrible. they do not care about people at all. you should not trust them ever.
i don’t think citizens have an automatic obligation to trust or respect police. i think that police have a RESPONSIBILITY to prove their trustworthiness and then citizens can respect them. until then, fuck em.

One of the most annoying parts of doing social work is having to deal with little dick security guys. Like I don't care if this is a "secure building" i need to do a wellness check on someone who has a history of suicide. I will beat you and use your key to get in if I have to fuckhead.

I think one of the most troubling changes in public opinion I've seen since I was a child is that "feeling threatened" has become a shortcut to "so this person deserves the immediate death penalty". There is an ocean of meaning between "threatening" and "feeling threatened" and the second one is almost explicitly fascist. Your existence ends if I "feel threatened" which cannot be quantified or second guessed. Think cops. The law continues to enforce that the cop believed himself to be "threatened". Not that the dead person was threatening, but that the completely illogical and biased process inside a person's mind is the deciding factor in whether the person was reasonably extrajudixially murdered. A fascist needs the ambiguity, because you can push a feeling to encompass anything. If I'm a racist I can reasonably claim that a person being black was threatening to me. "Threatening" is also problematic, because it's still fairly ambiguous and determined by a person who's probably at least 50 percent winding themselves up because of their biases. "Imminent harm" should probably be the legal standard, and strenuously defended.

sometimes i’m amazed with how bad and agressive cities can be. like how are you going to charge over prices parking tickets and expect to keep the local economy going? american cities are designed to tear down it’s citizens and i can’t wait to get the fuck out of this whack ass country. like seriously if i have to pay another overpriced parking ticket because my broke-desperate ass city can’t find other means to make money that’s not predatory, i’ll just leave. like it’s not worth it in any city in america.

If there is any doubt in your mind that all cops are bastards, please know that today I flagged down a cop car today while in a desolate parking lot after experiencing a trauma in an uber and he slowed down just enough for me to hobble over to him with my crutch (crying my eyes out) and when I asked for his help (told him my phone died and I didnt know where I was and I was afraid) he said "no, I can't help you" and drove away, leaving me to crutch half a mile down a main road with no sidewalks to beg for help at the first store I could make it to
