Problem and Problem Enabler. He has no braincell, she has them all. He is full of bad ideas and cero preservation insticts and she wants to fuck around and find out.

Married.

6. Sanji + Usopp

I dont ship it but i respect Sanuso shippers so much. Usopp being totally able to handle himself but chosing not to when Sanji is around just bc Sanji will always play into his knight in shinning armour ideal if given the chance. Usopp not being afraid to be the damsel in distress vs Sanji's frail masculinity, its so funny to me

5. Zoro + Nami

Actual siblings. They will never tell eachother they love them, they fight like crazy but would kill and die for eachother without question. Himbo brother and Big Sister

4. Chopper + Zoro

Zoro met Chopper and lit become the meme 'I've only had him for 24hs but if anything happens to him i will kill everyone in this room and then myself'. And Chopper? Chopper is the only reason Zoro's dumb ass is still alive today

3. Usopp + Luffy

When they get together all their cells in their bodies vibrate in the same frequency. Nothing is serious, they will follow everysingle idiot impulse in their bodies just for fun.

2. Usopp + Nami

They most BFF to ever BFF. They have the best time and support eachother throught the monster trio bullshit. Allies, siblings, partners in crime, fellow bitches.

There's absolute no other way around it. They cannot be left alone. They could set fire to the kitchen trying to open a can of food or overthrow a goverment in the same amount of time. Everything and anything can happen. There's no braincells ever, there's never been.

FRIENDS. FRIENDS.

Cooking Crush is undoubtedly one of the best shows airing at the moment.

Today's episode gave me so much life that I don't even know where to begin, but I'm gonna try my best to pull two (2) coherent thoughts out of my melting brain.

1. The Three Must-Eat-eers Conflict and Resolution:

Last episode had set up such a perfect conflict that's rarely handled well in any media: the bruised feelings of the single friend when the rest of the gang gets into committed romantic relationships. Most of the time this scenario shows up in media, one party will be framed as selfish and/or jealous. None of that nonsense here; Cooking Crush has always taken the friendship of its characters very seriously, especially Prem, Dynamite and Samsee. Samsee’s feelings were hurt not just because of his own fears of being abandoned by his friends, he was also (rightfully) mad that he ended up as the only friend who was kept out of the loop of knowing that his best friends had boyfriends now. But Prem and Dynamite did not intend to do this, and they were also right to set their own pace in making their relationship public, but it’s just that the string of accidental reveals happened in an order that made Samsee feel like a third-wheeler in his own home, twice over.

Cooking Crush treats its characters with a lot of kindness and empathy and it shows. Prem and Dy wanting to keep their relationships under wraps for the time being is valid. Samsee feeling hurt and lost, and opting out of the competition is valid. This episode begins with the drama of the cooking competition and works its comedy (thank you for the chuckles, wildly gesticulating White Man) and romance (my poor heart swooned all over my rib cage when Ten helped Prem into his chef clothes). And when the time came for the big reconciliation, the show does not sweep away Samee’s very hurt feelings just because Prem and Dy struggled without Samsee for most of the first round of cooking. He apologizes for ditching them and Dy was having none of it.

(Dy, my perfect child, oh how I love you with my entire heart)

Perfect resolution. and a well-earned, most adorable group hug to bookend it. I truly could not be more in love with this show. Or can I?

2. Miscommunication? Nah.

Well, this episode also featured the Annoying Asshole Chef dude who’s determined to pursue Prem even though it is very clear that Prem is not interested and would reject his advances, if only he stuck around long enough to actually get rejected and not run away from him like a goddamn coward. I was furious when he positioned himself as an actual option for Prem to Ten in this episode, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment Ten chose to call him out on his bullshit.

But y’all. The very inappropriate hug. The well-deserved punch to his stupid face. The storm-off. All of it had me very concerned that this is all barrelling towards a classic miscommunication moment.

BUT NO.

THE SHOW SAID THERE WILL BE NO STUPID MISCOMMUNICATION.

NOT IN THIS HOUSE.

My problem with the miscommunication trope is that it ultimately positions the couple we are supposed to be rooting for as a weak team. Honest communication and vulnerability in a new-ish relationship is not easy, and it takes a lot of courage to take that step to be the one to spell out the facts, and trust that the other person likes them well enough to keep an open ear, and believe them when they say a meddling cowardly asshole is trying to get in the way of their relationship. Ten’s bravery was perfectly contrasted with the sliminess of the Annoying Cowardly Chef (I refuse to learn his name, he is not worth my braincells).

Oh but Ten wasn’t done yet!

I absolutely adore how he moves the conversation away from that pesky little pest of a human towards something that matters more: his desire to make things official with Prem. The Annoying Asshole Chef was not the focus of the conversation, Ten and Prem are. And it all culminates in an incredible kiss and a camera swoop that already has a permanent little shrine in my silly little head.

TAKE MY HEART, COOKING CRUSH. TREAT IT WELL.

Ok now to be annoying about a completely different flavor of Zelda: That cartoon from the 80s that has aged so poorly I take psychic damage every time I watch it (which has been multiple times (I have problems)). A few months ago when rewatching and being sick of the Link's personality from the show (his best feature is how funny the "Well excuuuuse me, princess" line is) I was like "I wish the quiet kid from the games/art was here instead" and accidentally thought too hard and made an au/rewrite of the cartoon lmao.

Anyways Zelda cartoon au where cryptid boy Link saves the post apocalyptic Hyrule of loz 1 and chills in the castle with cartoon Zelda to defend the triforce pieces that they have while trying to find the last piece before Ganon can find it, stumbling across the sleeping loz 2 Zelda along the way lol. Hijinks ensue as he teaches Zelda the brawns to back up her girlboss and he gets an adventure buddy because its dangerous to go alone and Zelda with her boomerang and crossbow goes hard. I think a monster of the week style plot works for the earlier Zelda games, but an overarching plot could coexist with that since that is kinda how games work lol.

As per usual here are a bunch of slapdash barely related sketches of my ideas with my expanded thoughts below bc I think it'd be fun to share:

I look at the official art of Link being a quiet determined little dude with a backpack of tools and wish that that was represented more. Like look at him! What a guy! Imagine giving a quiet puzzle solving 14 year old a sword, lethal magical weapons, and a wasteland to explore! I would love a show about that! In terms of other characters, swap out that annoying fairy character, put in a Navi clone, at least Navi didn't have a crush on Link🤮. Ganon can stay the same so long as he was always a demon pig and was never a Gerudo man because unlike Nintendo, I do not want to imply that the only prominent man of color in the series has only one big braincell thats just screaming "EVIL" on loop. But! Keep Zelda the same, I love her so much in the cartoon, she's obnoxious in a slay girlboss way, maximum vibes. By virtue of not having a paper thin plot, most other characters that were fine get fixed by proxy.

I think plot wise? It takes place a few years after the first game. Initially, Link saved the royal family and they started rebuilding that area of Hyrule, and Link traveled around to help people. One day, Ganon's minions start making attacks on the castle to steal the triforce pieces back to revive him fully, and a Zelda who greatly admires Links steps up to defend the place. Eventually, Zelda requests Link return to help defend the castle while they search for the mysterious hidden third triforce piece in order to combine the full thing and wish for peace in Hyrule. Link agrees and the hyjinks begin.

IIRC the og Link backstory was that he was the son of the hyrulean queen and the elf king or smth? In the manga? I didn't want him to be hylian royalty but I wanted to keep that cryptid vibe, hence why I have him related instead to the great fairy and the kokiri. He just leaves the forest/cave one day with literally nothing to go save Hyrule, what a chad. I think it'd be funny if people describe Zelda as feral due to how boisterous and headstrong she is, especially out on the field, but Link is the quiet version of wild that you don't notice at first. She is openly intelligent and snarky in comparison to "says 3 lines a day, bombs first and asks questions later, explore under every rock and bush" forest kid Link.

It would be fun though if "rushes into danger" Zelda resonated more with the triforce of power and "solves dungeon puzzles for funsies" Link with the triforce of wisdom, then they both resonated with the triforce of courage upon finding it. idk tho lol

I also think two different young Zeldas coexisting with each other after one awoke from a cursed slumber would be really funny. Like that's gotta be so awkward, especially if one has the fighter girlboss slay up to 11 and the other just woke up from a coma to her family gone and her kingdom destroyed and just kinda wants to read books and drink tea in peace. Imagine being the same age or older than your great (great?) aunt. Or imagine if the old lady Impa nursemaid to Zelda 1 Zelda was the young Impa nursemaid to the Zelda 2 Zelda. Wild.

If I wasn't incapable of remembering to finish writing wips I'd write that series lol. Alas, this is all I can pull for now.

I'd love to call this propaganda to go watch the show but maybe don't because its yikes. This is moreso propaganda for someone to make a Zelda cartoon show instead of the movie that I sense Nintendo is plotting to make. Also, if you've read this far, I should mention I also will probably be posting art from some of my actual long term Zelda aus beyond just expanding on the cartoon, though I may continue to do that if my train of thought continues on these tracks.

my struggling braincell when i’m sick and cold laying in bed at 1 AM: hnnghhh… espilver angst… 🫠🫠🫠

You and me both😅 But I've managed to kick my headache into gear and wrote a little for that fic about the Ifrit and its mind control, that you talked about earlier today :> :> Something something world setting is like adjacent to my other multi-chapter Espilver fic wherein Silver is from a good world but was also the only one realising Eggman Nega was 100% plotting to destroy them, he's been quite socially isolated because nobody believed him, Espio is his first true friend ever, here's what I have so far. Angst time 100. Enjoy!🍀

“Something bad is coming,” the chameleon muttered, his fingers trailing over a shuriken laying loosely in his other hand. “I can sense it.”

And he himself could too, Silver knew: the air clung onto his pelt like tar, his lungs struggling to heave in the black smoke and orange embers jumping of burning rubble. “Then we’d best be careful,” he managed to bring out. “And the moment you see the Ifrit, tell me!”

Espio said nothing back.

Stifling a grunt as he clambered up against more wreckages Silver swallowed, paying it no mind. His thoughts were reeling as well: what had this world been, before it had been destroyed? Had there been people, or any sort of sentient life; a civilisation doomed the moment the Ifrit turned its eyes towards them? There had to have been: terrifyingly large skyscrapers wobbled around them, the underground he and Espio were ever so carefully trying to traverse slipping away underneath them with every step and crumbling into the ocean of lava down below… All because of that monster, the hedgehog snarled, and if Eggman Nega got his way he would let the exact same happen to their own world, and Silver would not let it come to pass.

He was so caught up in his thinking he only realised he was about to run into Espio when he could skid to a halt mere centimeters away from the other.

“Espio? Did you see something?!”

The chameleon stayed quiet still.

“Espio?” Silver tried again, giving the other a nudge in his back. “What’s… wrong…?”

A shambling step away from him followed, Espio’s face blank as he turned around, his hand lifting, Silver’s eyes widening, a gleam of metal coursing through the air-!

“Augh!”

Crying out and staggering backwards Silver threw his hand forward by instinct, a cyan shield grasping at the shuriken… that tore past his palm, a sharp stab of pain making him cry out. “Espio!” he yelled at the other. “What the heck?!”

Espio’s mouth opened… and Silver froze as words came tumbling out, a flurry of nonsense that stirred into a “Destroy…” and then a “Must destroy Silver,” and then a “Destroy Silver, destroy Silver, destroy Silver, destroy Silver” in a never-ending mantra that got overtaken only by a gleeful cackle in the sky.

“You’ve grown so fond of your companion you’ve led your guard down around him, dear Silver?” Eggman Nega jeered, floating in the sky in his Egg Mobile. “What an… interesting development. I did not take you to be capable of that, heehee!”

“Shut up!!” Silver roared back at him- though he had to jump out of the way as a fist, gleaming with a kunai clutched between the fingers, got flung towards him. “Wh- Espio! He wouldn’t-!”

“Tsk. Of course he would. Of course he’d get tired of you eventually. Had you not expected that?” Eggman Nega grinned, elbow lavishly leaning on the side of his Egg Mobile… before he shrieked as Silver flung out his hand and the shuriken rushed past where his head had been if he hadn’t pulled it down microseconds prior.

“You’re lying! Look at how he’s moving!”

And indeed, where Espio’s movements had been ever so graceful and collected before, now they tittered and hitched and jolted as the kunai nearly fell from his hands.

“…The Ifrit has the ability to blind one’s soul. Of course!” A cackle followed, Eggman Nega’s face stuck in a manic sneer. “His soul has been blinded… The Ifrit has him under its control! And that means you are doomed, you little rat. As if you would ever fight the one friend you’ve had in your life.”

hiii pls infodump about outis maybe??? i have been looking around ur blog for info about him but i havent found much 😔 /lh

HI HELLO im glad ur interested in the fish man...... hes lowkey criminally underdeveloped in a lot of ways but i do have a few things i havent shared before i think

1. some physical stuff about him is that i generally put him around adverage height (like 5'7"/5'8" or so) and hes pretty sturdy. it takes a lot to knock him around but he will usually let people lile drag/move him places if they want to

2. hes kinda strong (can generally lift people/heavy objects with ease) but also very gentle and will usually refuse to do so because he gets afraid he will drop them. he forgets hes holding things sometimes no matter how obvious and in his face the thing is. if you ask him to hold something he will put all his focus on remembering he is holding That Thing and blank out until its taken from him

3. hes had his turtles for a number of years (like before moving to dt, since hes lived with his parents) and he wanted to name them things relating to their scientific species names but his parents told him to be normal so they got named after ninja turtle colors instead

4. while the gentleness is partially because of his anxiety and his not wanting to upset anyone he is also just generally a gentle guy. hes very conscious of other peoples (and animals) feelings and boundaries and the last thing he wants to do is accidentally hurt somebody. hes very niceys

5. he will give literally everybody benefit of the doubt. he believes that generally most people are just trying their best and its pretty much impossible to get him to snap at anyone. even in his route, when the player would be able to be mean to him, he would always respond kindly no matter what they said or did. if a person genuinely irks him he just doesnt hang around them anymore hed rather die than get on someones case about something

6. despite it all i wouldnt really call him a push over, more just. hopelessly optimistic about the world around him. his brain is constantly telling him that everything and everyone is scary and wants him to explode so he has to tell himself that isnt true in order to function, even if that results in worse situations for himself sometimes

7. in his route you would in fact get to meet his turtles and the fish in his fishtank. you would also give him the opportunity to introduce you to each one via name, species, natural habitat, and more if you so choose

8. i Think ive mentioned it before but he is in fact a bit hard of hearing. because of this he talks a little louder. its also why he misses information sometimes, because he gets too scared of asking people to repeat themselves for him. a little sad when one of his favorite activities when around someone hes comfy with is listening to them talk

9. he can come off a bit ditzy but he is genuinely pretty intelligent, he just doesnt really use his braincells for things that dont actively interest him in some way

10. he picked his name because he went through a phase when he was just kinda messing around with his identity where he was interested in mythology (starting with more water-based things and growing from there), he clicked with the name and asked some of his friends to start calling him by that and it just stuck. if you directly asked him anything about mythology nowadays he probably wouldnt have much to say but if it just randomly comes up in a convo he will probably infodump about it some without really thinking abt it

11. speaking of his name he has a little script memorized of how its spelled where it comes from and what it means because hes used to having to explain it to friends/family

12. he mostly got top surgery for back related issues, hes generally pretty happy with his body. he would however give himself gills given the chance

13. he likes holding hands and hugging onto people but will only do it if you clearly tell him to his face that it is 100% okay to do so otherwise he will never touch you in a million years. there would probably be dialogue options in his route where the player can give him permission to do so and stuff implying theyre actively holding hands and stuff

14. there would be an option for the player to lie and tell him theyre a sea monster. he would think it was very cool and proceed to infodump about some of that water beast knowledge he knows

15. he does have a stutter, i wouldnt really say its Because of his anxiety but the anxiety certainly doesnt help. it mostly causes him to repeat words, but he also struggles with L's, Y's, and R's occasionally.

CHARACTER OPINION MEME || { ACCEPTING }

Anonymous Wishes || Core Trio Gen 1 (Frankie, Draculaura & Clawdeen)

Good thing I have the braincell! I decided to do all three. This is gonna be a bit of a long post so bare with me.

Frankie is the perfectly imperfect main ghoul

As far as it comes to the main, even as one of the ones shown the most, I feel like they did a good job with Frankie's character. She's not just a teen monster at Monster High, but THE teen to help you guide through it and relate to. I thought I wasn't going to like Frankie as much because of how they constantly show her most of the episodes but she balances out with her freaky flaws and difficult struggles.

Frankie's personality is what you expect for a teen experiencing High School life for the first time and is trying to fit in while going on a journey. And she takes us on the journey pretty well. She understands and learns along the way, is VERY protective of her friends and loves them enough to even DIE for them. She gets major credit for that. Plus even when the movie does focus on her, she never really overshadows the other monsters. Instead it feels like she brings them into the fold.

If there's any teen you can relate to the most, it would be Frankie in this series.

Clawdeen the fashionista is a good main that struggles

Ngl, Clawdeen was annoying at the start of her introduction, coming off as a bit of a hypocrite to contradict what she says. But eventually she builds up better from that. Clawdeen is the kinda ghoul that you wanna see throw down and look good doing it. Like her only time she threw hands was during 13 Wishes (best boovie of all) when she finally got to PUNCH someone!

Clearly Clawdeen is the tough ghoul who dreams big and even though she wasn't expanded as much ad Frankie and Draculaura, there were times I understood her plight. Like wanting to impress the people you look up to (she and Howleen are alot alike than they think), dealing with complicated younger siblings in the same school and trying to NOT knock the other monster who is giving you and your friends flat so you don't get suspended.

Scaris happens to be one of my favorites because of how it balances out and how Clawdeen got to balance herself out and learn along the way. She started off stagnant but develops along the way. She's honestly the one in the trio that needs to be exploited more.

Draculaura... the over populated one

Yeah I'm gonna say it: she's overrated (Love you Sam but not sorry!). I mentioned before that Draculaura is listed as one of my top five LEAST favorite characters, but it's not because she's a bad character. She has good morals, she supports her friends and deals with her own struggles. But its more like she's... overly spoiled? Like it's clear she is the brand favorite if you look up how she has the most amount of dolls in the franchise. And even in the remakes she lives one of the best lives in the monster world.

As for her character in itself, I honestly have a hard time sympathizing with her. Even when the movie focuses on her such as WHY DO GHOULS FALL IN LOVE or FRIGHTS,CAMERA, ACTION, the movie instead overshadows the plot for something Laura wants rather than something important such as NOT LETTING DISCRIMNATION RUN FOR THE MONSTER WORLD VAMPIRES!

Draculaura can also be invasive at times to the point where its uncomfortable for the ghouls such as GHOULS RULE on trying to force Clawdeen on a date with a guy (before she's canonically a lesbian). She WAS the head of the gossip pool before Spectra came along. And also she tends to be over-materialistic. If it wasn't for the amount of money or hierarchy she has, I'm pretty sure she and Cleo would be banned from every kind of transportation system EVER. I'm also kind of bitter for the webisode 'Draculocker' of how instead of giving her some kind of infinite purse like Jimmy neutron style, they fill up the school with giant lockers so she can store stuff. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU SOLVE YOUR HOARDER PROBLEM!

So yeah for Draculaura, not hate but they could've done better with her character and humble her down. There are other monsters in the franchise that deserve limelight time.

tips for playing mercy (as someone who has played her way too much

some terminology:

first off I’m assuming that whoever is reading this plays on computer and has default controls, sorry consol players but that’s not my area of expertise (although I’m sure the general tips will still be useful)

I will be referring to guardian angle as GA (the ability that allows you to fly around; its shift on the keyboard), GA + spacebar as SS or slingshot, since it slingshots you in whatever direction you look in when you press space, and GA + crtl (or whatever your crouch button is) as SJ or super jump, because whenever you press ctrl after using GA you do, well a super jump. Valkyrie (Q ability the one that allows you to fly around like you are in creative mode in Minecraft) will just be referred to as Valk, and Ressurction (e ability that brings people back to life) will just be called Res, I will call mercies staff her staff and her gun her gun (or Barbie blaster if I am going to attempt to be funny)

onto the actual tips LMAO

-never stop moving, even if you think you are safe, you are not safe, you are never safe and unfortunately your enemies do have braincells and will notice where you stay, and will come after you

-that being said; you don’t have to use GA as soon as it comes off of cooldown, if you are in a safe position, stay there until it’s clear it will become unsafe, although move back and forth obviously (unless it’s one of those spots where you really can’t move, although I would recommend not staying there for long)

-high grounds are your best friend, mercy is one of the most mobile agents in the game, half of your enemies are going to seriously struggle to reach you

-with the height and position advantage, you can typically see more than your teammates do, I recommend calling out or at least pinging where enemies are if you think it’s important

-“use GA not as positioning but to position” -absolutely Queen of mercies Skeisti, as fun as spamming SJ is, it leaves you in the enemies line of sight and makes you easy to kill if they can aim, literally the only time I would recommend spamming SJs is if you are using them to glide on a roof out of the enemies sight, but even then treat the position as temporary

-DAMAGE BOOST, healing nothing is useless, if you can use blue beam, do use blue beam, and don’t wait for your beam target to be 100% on hp, if you are waiting to heal your team to full to damage boost, you will never damage boost, besides your other support is there for a reason

-HOWEVER, you can’t damage boost a corpse so if your beam target reaches critical health (they will have like a red plus sign on them and be yellow through walls) HEAL THEM especially if your other support is dead/unable to reach them and there are no health packs in the area, or methods of self healing are on cooldown/unreliable in the situation

-speaking of your other support, pay attention to their health bar, them being dead is bad for everyone so as soon as they hit critical you need to switch your attention to them, they can heal your other teammates in the meantime

-if your other support is getting dove, beam them; doesn’t matter if it’s one person, doesn’t matter if that person is almost dead, if your support dies from this their is a 90% chance the fight is lost

-stop trying to save teammates that are beyond saving, your Doomfist diving headfirst into a 1 v 5 with 100 hp and a dream a million miles away from you is a goner, unless you have Valk you have to accept that

-speaking of accepting things, accept when a fight is lost and run away, the only ones who tell you there is shame in running away are your enemies who want you dead

-memorize healthpack locations and GA/SS to them if you are in danger, trust me this has saved me so many times

-learn how to play other supports, even top 500 mercy OTPs can play other ones, if you are inflexible the enemies will break you

-you can move when you are Resing, don’t stand still

-try and res behind cover; learning how to Jump Res really helps with this and can let you pull off some reses you really couldn’t before

-if you are doubting you can do a Res than probably don’t do it, it’s better to stay alive then get yourself and your Res target killed again, it’s a 30 second cooldown after all

-you do have a substantial amount of time to res a dead person depending on their respawn timer, so if your enemies are distracted and you know your team is ok without you for a few seconds, going to res a soul in your enemies back line and flying back isn’t a bad idea

-don’t waste Valk, even in the highest ranks, killing a mercy who knows what they are doing in Valk is incredibly difficult, it’s your get out of jail free card and use it when you know you have to or at least when you know it will be beneficial

-in Valk you can see the enemies health bars so don’t be afraid to pistol someone if you know you can kill them

-however, try not to go for kills in Valk in comp, battle mercy is fun however it’s not very good, infinite ammo can’t save her low projectile speed and damage (it’s only 40 per headshot), and it’s incredibly hard to kill people from war away, and getting up in their face to aim easier puts you at risk, so don’t treat Valk like an Ilari ultimate, a support who’s ultimate is designed to do damage because Valk isn’t designed to do damage

-don’t be afraid to damage boost your tanks: a tank using their ultimate, roadhog and rein in close combat and/or roadhog using hook, Ramattra using his punches and a high power Zarya are just as good damage boost targets as your dps

-speaking of dps, some damage dealers are better to boost than others, typically I would pick the ones that don’t have to go in and dive, as diving puts you in danger

There’s way more I could say, however there’s better and smarter mercy mains on YouTube so I recommend watching their stuff (like the aforementioned Skeisti and Elyzhau). Have fun mercying, and I hope this was moderately helpful

We only know the basics of the fruit and yet it already gives its user SO MANY powers, literally and metaphorically speaking? Not only can you copy (steal) another Devil Fruit power, but darkness in itself brings so many possibilities!!

Like, we have seen Blackbeard use it similarly to a black hole (absorbing light/drawing anything close, thus affecting gravity), but what if there is more?

Can you use it to shadow travel? Could you use it like a warp gate/wormhole? Can you still steal another Devil Fruit's power even if it is the opposite of the Yami Yami no Mi? What is the limit of Devil Fruit powers you can steal? Can you use them simultenaously and how much does it tires you out? What would the drawback be? Y'all know I'm a sucker for time travels/loops....... So........ Quite obviously, this is gonna be the theme.

It would be a man-made fruit, like the SMILEs. However, because of its nature and creation process, I doubt it would be a manufactured one. What I mean by that is, while created by people, it couldn't be on as big a scale as Cesar/Doflamingo/Kaidou managed for the SMILEs. Why? Because the processus wouldn't involve any SAD, nor experiements ― but I'll come back to that!

What's the Fake Devil Fruit's power? It will be that of a paramecia! It will however be limited to giving you the power of a Devil Fruit that doesn't already have a power.

What's the take? While you do get a chance at having a Paramecia power (and awaken it like you would any other paramecia)... That shall only be so upon your death. So not only do you have to experience death to get that power (you are brought back to the moment/state you were in as you died), but you only have 1 chance out of 200 for it to work. You cannot know whether or not you've won the Fake Devil Fruit Lottery up until your last breath. For comparison, SMILEs give you 1 chance out of 100 to get a Zoan's power. Plus, since this wouldn't be a manufactured product, it means that there would only be a scarce amount available on a yearly basis.

How is it created? Thanks to the combined powers of two Devil Fruits! Which I have made up but according to Egghead Island that ain't too far-fetched lol By combining the powers of the Reset Reset no Mi (Sorry for the japenglish but I ain't gonna try and translate this), which allows you to reset time back (for a few minutes only, but up to 6 hours if you have awakened it), and the power of the Odd Odd no Mi, which allows you to slightly manipulate the odds of an event (here, the successful creation of a fake Devil Fruit that use the Reset Reset no Mi to give its user a second chance).

How would it be named? Well........ Y'all know me........ I'm a sucker for terrible, terrible puns............

So Twilight tries to go on a simple work trip but Suya tags along

at least this time it was really her fault

But Twilight realizes just how bad this looks from the outside

Again Suya has a very good understanding of who Twilight is

She seems kinda sad for him and his poor self confidence (So she should stick around and protect him from himself haha)

So the boss who has taken over the demon castle and reveals he's done a better job at managing it than Twilight and Suya judges him (even though Suya isn't making the situation better by constantly breaking and stealing things)

Someone might say this goes against my point but like again she can objectively look at Twilight for who is is faults and all

But they find out the Boss really is just a big Twilight fan and did all this to impress his subordinates

How does Suya know thats what its meant to be?

So the Boss starts beating himself up showing his self confidence issues are worse than Twilights and Suya is confused by his actions

But she figures out what his intent was quickly

She learns....something from Twilight though she doesnt voice it well. Empathizes with others even through something like low confidence is a good trait to have even within a leader. Suya sees that Twilight is willing to let others see his worst side if it will help them.

Suya seems to sense when Twilight is in trouble for good or bad, its bad here

See while the Boss was pretending to be Twilight he made peace with Hades and Twilight has to keep up the lie, but he know she might just let it slip, she does causing the two to fight. This causes them to deage a bit and make the line to the underworld thin and have Suyas soul stuck in the underworld........I'm doing my best to focus on the two

Anyway they go to save her and we get this cause I mean it is kinda his fault

So they assume Twilights ancestor who started the war with humans captured her, but Twilights just annoyed at how Suya gets herself in these situations

Turns out all the problems in the underworld are cause by her which Twilight started suspecting before finding her like this

They try to get her to stop but she won't because she want's to help Twilights grandfather, who has difficulty resting because of the problems he caused in life.

DA here🥹 JUST had the chance to read chapters 5 and 6 back to back and holy fuck 🥵 the moment Armand started being horny on main I knew we were in for a good time, bb boy couldn’t even THINK straight (and I can’t blame him, not even a little bit). Daniel being all gentlemanly and sweet and holding out Armand’s hand when he had to jump past a puddle (MY HEART) while Armand's single braincell was trying its best to prevent him from jumping Daniel right then and there lmfaoo the dynamic of all time I swear 🥹  

That first kiss delivered and then some! That second one did too of course and I love how completely different they were from each other (passionate yet innocent vs. "I want you to tear me apart NOW”). “Bold as the boy with the axe” pls that’s my no. 1 boy right there! No one does it better than him. If there was a moment for Amadeo to come back in full force... this was 100% it, and Daniel had earned the right to experience him fully. He earned his immortality along with the right to drag Amadeo up Lestat’s staircase.  

“Slut. Armand moaned at the word. He’d asked Daniel to call him that years ago, back when he’d been mortal. When he was just a nervous and submissive thing, unable to do it with any seriousness” lmao holy shit this took me OUT. On one hand it’s hot as fuck but otoh I can easily see this thing having gone like “five times Daniel tried to call Armand a slut in bed and the one time it actually worked” 💀💀💀 it makes perfect sense to have finally happened post-reunion though. Daniel always had it in him imo (see: their little reverse roleplay where Daniel pretended to be a vampire and manhandled Armand and bit him with all of his strenght while Armand was the “human” and went all pliant for him etc), but he had to go through some shit to finally be able to embrace his full relaxed daddy potential. He’ll hold your hand, he’ll pet your head, he’ll call you a slut and fuck you up. King shit. And this: “When I’m fighting against you it’s so safe. With you I’m so free.” love everything about it 😭Of course he’d feel safe enough with Daniel to switch back to being a sub, with the knowledge that they’re equals now, and that Daniel can actually match his stenght (in a bedroom context) and hurt him without actually hurting him.

Writing Armand vampire-horny for his man was so fun, like in DM times he looks at Daniel like his little experiment a lot because he's so detached from his inner self. But now he's not! He's got all kinds of needs and he's worked up and he wants. In a way he hasn't since he was 17 and watching Marius go on his little murder spree at that banquet. Armand has always been hot for death, it's impressive he repressed that for as long as he did tbh

During DM their power dynamic was so set in stone imo I just can't see mortal Daniel pulling it off knowing how much more powerful Armand was than him. It could only happen when they're both vampires (or like maybe if mortal Daniel was drunk enough to let his inhibitions down haha) so I think that's why it fit here.

And idk I just think it's hot for Daniel to run the show. He's such a man, he's got it in him!! He just needed to be asked to do it, and to know Armand really wanted it. At the end of the day they both know Armand calls the shots but Daniel is perfectly capable of handling things if he wants to lay back and give over control, even in a non-sexual sense.

Idk if this is super controversial but very much in my family, but I believe as Christians we should be the BIGGEST advocates for every socialist program that will help everyone, absolutely everyone. I’ve seen weird tales from Catholics where they believe they shouldn’t even try to help the poor because poverty would always exist (under capitalism, of course) and I think that’s actually evil to believe.

I’m also a big believer in sex separated areas. Not because I think women are too ~tempting~ or “distracting” to men, but simply because I don’t trust church bros. Normal guys who attend church aren’t church bros. Church bros are those lukewarm “spiritual” guys who go to church because they believe they are entitled to a submissive self hating trad wife who will stay at home, be feminine, and worship them as kings while also going 50/50 on everything. Then if they’re failing to attract girls at church, church bros will loudly complain to any guy nearby how awful western women are, how they are all used up whores who are gold diggers and too high maintenance with too high standards. And then some of the worst ones are asked to leave if they continue making a scene. OR if your church sucks, they will stay to build a group of likeminded church bros (and some self hating Pick Mes who actually never gets picked despite trying to agree with everything negative the bros say about women) to harass any woman at the church until one of them gets the police called on them and the church leadership then has to either defend them if they’re as misogynistic as the church bros or hide them by kicking them out to save their public reputation 🙂

Tbh beside the USA where they have this flop mentality of assuming that anything state controlled is coMmUnIsM and that wellfare implies stealing, your opinion is absolutely not controversial. My country has a very socialist welfare & pension system and we have some of the lowest elderly poverty rate in Europe. Our healthcare system used to be one of the best in the word (it's currently attacked to make it more 'liberal' so its quality is getting down the toilet unfortunately...). Unlike the USA there's no 65 y.o working to survive here - they have a pension simply because we consider you shouldn't have to work so old.

I'll never forget during c0vid lockdown when anti government bro were like "see that's what government having too much power does!!!" and like yeah it sucked, but why is that they NEVER have the same energy when it comes to LACK of government that makes people resort to work until they die?? Did they even care ONCE about the amount of people who died out of lack of state assistance (which is probably much higher than c0vid lockdowns) since this shit has been going on for decades while the c0vid crisis lasted 1-2 years....? The vaçcine poisoning people with non tested formula wasn't solely the fault of government enabling this, but ALSO big pharma greedy CAPITALISM. There are leftism movement rejecting liberalism (for example radfem are left aligned yet reject (cultural) liberalism). Communism is the antithesis of both liberalism and globalism....

Burgers think they are soooooo smart when they say "Nazism was socialism #checkmate" But these idiots always forget that 'Nazism' is the contraction of 'Nationalsozialismus'. Nazism is the demented offspring of Nationalism AND Socialism. Nazism was equally Socialism AND Nationalism so much that its name mix the 2 of them, so solely point out the socialism of Nazism to act like it was a socialist regime is dishonest and stupid. Interestingly, you never see them criticize nationalist countries and argue that Nationalism is the cornerstone of totalitarism and shit like that 🤔

Maybe that's bc I'm from a European country and that European is the breeding ground of all those ideologies but I got educated early on about these concepts and their peculiarity in school... so it bafflese to see grown ass Americans so uneducated about it. I'm surprised of your experience with greedy Catholics bc from my experience they've always been more based than protestant. Here in France Catholics are known to be pretty charitable and care for the homeless and poor family. Even when I was a child and my family piss poor it was an old catholic lady who regularly came to our apartment to give us food. I will never forget that. That's why despite the criticism I have for Catholicism as a faith, I'll always have a lot of respect for Catholics as individual.

I also think Catholic women are more based when it comes to modest clothing, veiling, etc. Protestant women tend to freak out when we say that, hm no, wearing makeup isn't compatible with the Bible, that there's not a single time where make up is talked about positively in the Bible, that makeup or heels aren't traditional and that such vanity was trAditionAlLy the prerogative of PROSTITUTES🙄

Oh and I don't go to church, but hearing all the horror stories of those who do like yours, I know that I'm doing the right thing xD

Love Live! Sunshine!! Season 1: EP 1-7 Watchthrough

i dunno why i decided 2023 to be my idol year, but anyway, we're on Sunshine!!

#1: "I Want to Shine!!"

okay, so unlike the original, sunshine wants to throw all these characters at us at once, and honestly, nice? i feel like these characters are even more immediately gripping and distinct. also, the show looks even better i think? i am liking.

#2: "Catch the Transfer Student!"

i'm like way more into this than the original love live already and i'm not quite sure why cause nothing it dramatically better, i just think everything is slightly better and that builds up. it's slightly prettier, it has slightly more interesting characters and dynamics, etc.

i love how when i started the franchise i kept reiterating how the idol style and its songs isn't really for me, and look at me now

#3: "First Step!"

oh my god i love how sunshine subverted it!!

the original love live's corresponding scene always stood out to me as its most emotionally effective one, but I think sunshine did almost just as good here, having chika tear up a bit but then bringing the crescendo back with, an all time favourite trope, THE POWER OF COMMUNITY

there's a  definite weird sense when watching this show, cause you're aware that it's a franchise very specifically hand-crafted to appeal to its otaku audience that makes it feel a bit grossly commercialized, but that doesn't mean there's only commercial value and no artistic.

artists still make these shows, and i think they emanate a lot of genuine warmth. i think it's telling that they could've continued milking μ's but instead they allowed them to retire and took the risk of focusing on a new set of girls.

#4: "Two Girls' Feelings"

i love how sunshine!! is using μ's as a direct inspiration for our characters here, and how we've tied very specific characters and why they motivate our new cast specifically (the rin one was especially sweet, cause it was one of the cutest scenes in the OG series)

sunshine!! has just done such a great job. i don't think the original ever really shone when focusing on its side cast they way this episode did, so i'm glad to see this new iteration just improving on the franchise's core strengths

#5: "Yohane Descends"

It is very nice for Yohane to be self aware of her chuunibyo stage and her struggle being trying to grow out of it. It makes for a lot of layered comedy, those two clashing sides, but also makes it even more sweet when the others accept her anyway.

Honestly, you don't need to grow out of it. My advice? Channel that creative spirit into something that fits it the best, where you get the most positive feedback from it and the least negative. You can always put the persona on, but it'll impact your ability to make friends. If your IDOL persona is your outlet instead, then that’s the best of both worlds, right?

#6: "Let's Make a PV"

That's it, right there. Community. What makes your town special is not the town itself nor its locations, it is the people. The relationships you forge with those around you, the support networks you can rely on in need, the way everyone cleans the beach together. That's special.

Also, yes, Sunshine!! is kinda bound by the shackles of its predecessor. I think it's fine so far, cause Sunshine is basically the original concept executed to perfection, but any future series is gonna have to do something a bit different.

#7: "Tokyo"

doesn't say word. does a spinning flip over them to assert dominance. queen.

i love how in the meantime there's this tragic shakespearean drama brewing with the seniors lol

I love You's outfits lol. She went through a dozen this episode, but even just her regular hat has her name on it. Like, imagine if mine just said "Theodor." Granted, her name is You, so it's probably easier to find a hat with that already on.

i said it before (or maybe i didn't actually) but i went into sunshine!! with expectations of it surpassing the original love live cause from what i've peeked sunshine!! seems to have the best character designs. so far, i am being proven right.

I'd like for our "antagonists" maybe to sometime also be a full on team, and not just two or three people. i understand why they don't do it, cause it's not a show about the rivalry, but if we ever wanted to do that variation, it'd be down.

ALSO IF WE DON'T GET A MUSE CAMEO IN THE SUNSHINE MOVIE I WILL RIOT
