As the new season is coming out soon, i want to establish something.

Louis and Armand love each other.

That's it and that's the truth. I have read the books and yes. Every relationship is very complex and most of them run very deep. But no one in both louis and armand's lives can lessen the fact that they love each other. Just look at how obvious their love is in the books:

And it's something else, which is irrational and unexplainable and satisfies only me.

Which is?

That i love him.

You have me. I love you

Who else, knowing us as we know each other, could do anything but destroy us? Yet we can love each other

Armand went wild. He turned and began driving his fists into marble with fury, cracking the marble tiles, the blood splattering everywhere. Until Marius gripped him and drew him back away from the wall. A long low moan came from Armand. Armand was like something broken as he lay aganist Marius. Again I was not thinking, I was merely knowing that Louis, the most vulnerable of us all was in the grip of that monster. Or already dead.

I felt a longing for him so strong that it took all of my strength to contain it.

And it occured to me, if louis does end his life, if he does bring his supernatural journey to conclusion, how will I ever answer for it to Lestat or Armand, or myself?

It was the love of Louis which had at times crippled Lestat, and enslaved Armand.

Do you see how ruthless I am in love?

I fell in love with him hopelessly

He loves you. He loves you. He would have you. And he would not have me standing in the way

I see his power in your eyes, I see your misery, your distress, the love for him you can't hide

You don't need my forgiveness

You need it. Therefore, I need it

They have different kinds of relationships with many people. It doesn't change what they feel for each other. It doesn't take away from it.

The reason i wanted to say this is because i think people don't always understand the significant role they play in each other's lives. I know it's seen as a threat to most popular ships in this fandom but it's the truth.

Of course it is somewhat toxic and it has its highs and lows. But so does every other relationship in the series

Not to be weird or overly judgmental of other historical fiction media and media that’s target audience is children, but, I really like the way Liberty’s Kids (and TURN ~ obviously though TURN is a historical Amrev drama first and factually correct second, I do seriously recommend the factual book it’s based on of the same name…) but I really like the nuance and ambiguity of the 18th-century and American Revolution in all its aspects without being overly coarse or cynical of the subject matter, each of them give, you can tell it’s written by competent people.

There is something infinitely important that has been glossed over far too often.

Personal interpretation.

This concept applies to numerous subjects and fandoms, including some of my other fandoms, *cough*percy jackson*cough*. But I will use Good Omens as the monumental example, as this issue must be addressed.

The overview? Everyone has their version of EVERYTHING. Not just fiction, but reality as well. There are millions of versions of you that you will never know, simply because they are within the confines of another’s mind.

There is constant conflict everywhere I look. ‘This song doesn’t feel like them’, ‘Crowley wouldn’t do that’, ‘I can’t see that headcanon’. Arguments about who would top, who likes which genres, and even the tiniest details about side characters.

Let’s start with the book.

There’s a great possibility that every single time you’ve ever read a book, you imagine the scenes in your mind along with the words on the page. You develop faces, voices, personalities, and everything to fit these characters. They become your own. And so if you go talk to someone else who’s read the book, their interpretation of the character will be different than yours. Drastically different, most likely. There’s nothing you can do about it. Maybe you think the book husbands are both asexual, but your closest friend believes book!Aziraphale is a firm dom.

And it doesn’t just apply to books. Any media includes and lives through this concept.

And this is essential in Good Omens because there is SO MUCH going on that you can’t really get to the nitty-gritty of it all. Neil has illustrated this point in his infinitely annoying ‘wait and see' and other vague and sarcastic responses. His and Terry’s minds were the birthplace of ideas that have become full-fledged characters and plots. But they have let them go to become our own.

This is one reason why fanfiction is also so important. It lets the imagination explore its own versions and illustrate its point of view for the public. So yes, if you go looking you will find a wide variety of fic genres, tags, and everything in between.

Fics will be different, art will be different, theories will be different, headcanons will be different, metas will be different.

Because everyone in this fandom is a unique individual with their own version of these beloved characters. This ultimately means there are thousands and perhaps millions of different Crowleys and Aziraphales running around everywhere, which is a terrifying, yet wondrous thought.

Though opinions may differ, everyone's thoughts are valid and I love everyone in this fandom.
