[ID: A digital drawing of two teenage girls standing and facing away from each other with sad/resigned expressions. The one on the right has brown skin, straight black hair jaggedly cut to her chin, and stands with her hands on her hips. She is wearing a red cropped t-shirt with a wide yellow stripe down the middle, black high-waisted shorts, tall black socks and red and yellow oversized high-top sneakers. She stands on a triangle of red that stretches in front of her like a pathway, or a shadow. A thin red circle floats behind her head with smaller red lines radiating out of it, like a miniature sun. The girl on the left has pale skin, platinum blond hair and stands with her hands crossed across her chest. She is wearing a white shirt with a high collar, a cropped black and gray jacket, high-waisted gray shorts with a thick brown belt, black knee-length leggings, frilly white socks and black and gray running shoes. She also stands on a triangle of red that stretches in front of her like a pathway, or a shadow. A thin red circle floats behind her head with a single red line cutting through its middle. In the blank space between the two girls a quote from the song “No Children” by the mountain goats reads “i hope it stays dark forever, i hope the worst isn’t over, and i hope you blink before i do, and i hope i never get sober.” END ID]
just two lonely kids on the road to hell heaven together...
uh oh i caved and posted Hungry Dogs content i have been set loose now there’s nothing holding me back. snapped off my leash.
for those unfamiliar (so everyone. literally everyone.) Hungry Dogs is my low fantasy/post apocalypse/road-trip/unholy count of monte cristo and shakespeare mishmash from the gates of hell/dystopian wip i have yet to formally introduce in any way. i think i talked about it all of once back when i first introduced myself,,,,, but back then it was hard sci-fi and much less of a trainwreck. they grow up so fast.
this is just a sketchy thing of my two main characters, Dani (on the left) and Mercedes (right), extremely bitter and angry former childhood friends (in case you’re wondering the amount of undiluted baby gay pining that was going on definitely didn’t help with the whole falling out) now forced to finally confront each other in the long-con (literally) cutthroat game of killing one of their societies living gods in order to achieve immortality.
there are probably weirder ways to have to deal with your emotions,,,, but this is pretty high up on the list.

i think the real kicker is that the wrist braces ALSO hurt my hands so i can’t even really relax just because I have them; i absolutely have to take them off at some point during the day so i can stretch my wrists and if i don’t i get even more mysterious shooting pain that i usually can’t place until I’ve been suffering with it for half an hour 😔 but then if i leave them off for too long my hands start hurting AGAIN and it’s really just never ending. I wish i could see a doctor just so i have someone who can tell me what to do about it bc what im doing by myself is NOT good enough, clearly. internet research can only get me so far

so i’m greek-american. start this out w a disclaimer. and i love it when greek culture is incorporated in pjo fic but i think it’s REALLY important to note that, while there are a lot of through lines to antiquity, so much of greek culture today is christian, specifically greek orthodox christian. what evidence we have from antiquity is mostly their folktales, A LOT of classical studies is just well informed speculation. we don’t have a lot of records of pagan traditions. and it wasn’t even a monolithic pagan culture either; rituals and myths could vary from village to village, let alone city-state to city-state, which you can see in the amount of city-specific epithets the gods had
and it’s also important to note that greek stories spread throughout the mediterranean because of greek colonization. and then because of roman colonization. there’s this AMAZING post that’s buried in my likes that i need to dig out bc the op was talking about how, like, england, and by extension america, are, in fact, victims of roman colonization. roman oppression and suppression. the romans pulled out of britannia but their mythology stayed behind
and the further proliferation of greek stories throughout europe is, in part, because of the continuing greco-roman folk influence long after those empires fell apart, AND THEN EVEN FURTHER because of greek refugees fleeing constantinople/ottoman occupation--except, by then, by and large, they didn’t consider themselves “greek,” they considered themselves “roman”. “Greece” as a national identity really only started gaining traction in the late 18th century, and by then they were SOLIDLY christian orthodox
i fully respect modern day greeks who practice hellenic paganism reconstruction (like, fr, if you’re not part of the church in some places you might as well not exist) but i don’t think it’s too much to say that those traditions are not the same as the ones from homer’s period, or alexander’s, or under roman rule. they’re the best approximations we have
so, if we want to incorporate greek culture in pjo fic, what do we talk about? what parts? the christian parts? the approximations? the scant information we do have? and what about the greek-american disapora, which can be EXTREMELy culturally removed from greek nationals?
also. i feel like it has to be said. the chb kids aren’t greek. because the Gods TM aren’t... greek... see previous post on this topic but the gods are philosophical and sociological concepts which come from antiquity but are filtered through several different religious and aesthetic movements. like, sure, i like to headcanon that big three kids are a little greeker than their peers, but that’s just like a personal thing lmao
it’s thornyyyy

“Perhaps the most arresting thing about the Etruscans was their language. Etruscan is a language isolate – it doesn’t appear to be related to any other known language (there is occasionally some very technical debate on this point, but not any that will affect what I am going to say here). All of the other languages of pre-Roman Italy (not counting any Phoenicians who had large settlements in Sicily; Sicily was not considered part of ‘Italy’ by the Romans) are members of the Indo-European language family, which spread out (probably through a series of migrations) from the eastern Pontic Steppe perhaps around 3000 BC or so, reaching Italy around 1000 BC.
The Etruscan language – and we may assume the ancestors of the Etruscans themselves – were probably already there when Indo-European arrived; for whatever reasons the Etruscans kept their language and evidently control of their homeland. Consequently, the Romans, linguistically speaking, were more closely related to (Old) Persian and Hindi speakers – both Indo-European languages – than they were to the Etruscans.
Etruscan religion was also distinct. A lot of Indo-European-speaking cultures share some basic mythological elements (linguistically reconstructed backwards to a lost proto-Indo-European religion), but Etruscan religion was a blend of indigenous non-Indo-European religious elements with syncretically adapted Greek and Italic elements (as we’ve discussed, polytheistic religions are very good at this kind of adaption. According to Varro, the supreme god of the pantheon was Voltumna (also called Veltha), an underworld deity which the Romans adopted as Vertumnus (Var. De Ling. Lat. 5.46), but which is quite different from the standard set of Indo-European gods.
The Etruscan practice of haruspicy – reading the will of the gods from the entrails of animals – was also clearly distinct and the Romans adopted this too. Even into the first century BC, haruspicy seems to have been a distinctively Etruscan art in Rome and non-Etruscan haruspices were less preferred (though Roman priests practiced augury, divining the will of the gods from birds). Though the extensive later Roman borrowing of elements of Etruscan religion can disguise this, Etruscan religion was quite distinct from Latin and Roman religious practices.”

Libra Sun explained
first of all , a disclaimer that i'm not professional in astrology. i'm still looking for information and i'm a hobbyist.
Tumblr media
tarot card is by Henri Armengol. If you check my posts then you know that I use exaltation degrees. As you may know , planets feel comfortable at certain signs and degrees so it shouldn't feel comfy at some places too based on that logic. People tend to feel bad about uncomfortable placements without questioning why it isn't good there and today , what i'm going to do is showing that. Sun , ruler of Leo and exalts at Aries. Feels well around 17 , 18 and 19 ( exalts at 19 degrees but degrees above count too ) degrees. In Greek Mythology , Sun is Apollo and he went against the current authority and he protected a certain woman all along. He seemed to be a proud man. He fell in love with Daphne and she turned onto a tree , thanks to curse of Eros who did it as revenge since Apollo underestimated and mocked him. As short info suggested above , Apollo was a very proud man who rejected the current authority which is pretty much Aries and Leo thing to do. As you see there was a war of ego and power between the authority and Apollo. Game of Thrones I can say lol. Anyways when you look at Libra , there is a diplomat trying to solve things first in order to bring peace , which isn't a bad thing. Libra has the tendency of using communication as solution. Leo wants to become king / queen , Aries wants to fight passionately for what means a lot to them and Libra suggests democracy. Monarchs hate democracy and that's why Libra Sun is told to be a bad placement for Sun , which actually a pretty shallow information to spread. Libra is sign of kindness and grace so why would it be bad ? Why would it be bad to try to use diplomacy ? Sure , unhealthy / underdeveloped Libra placements can lack self defense but constantly fighting is also not always right. Both sides require balance and interestingly enough , Libra has scales as symbol ;) Have a nice day / night , take care of yourself , xoxo.

I'm interested in your relationship to the Greeks. You've made repeated use of figures from Greek mythology: Hades, Demeter, and Persephone are protagonists in Mother Love, and The Darker Face of the Earth is patterned on Sophocles's Oedipus plays. There is a long-standing tendency among black artists to make use of Greek mythology: Melvin Tolson, Richard Bruce Nugent, Derek Walcott, Langston Hughes, Robert Hayden, June Jordan, and Michael Harper, among others. What is it about Greek mythology that makes it such an important frame (or foil) for you and for the black experience?
Since I wrote the play The Darker Face of the Earth, I have been asked, "How did you come to write this?" I can't explain how such a thing could happen. I was fascinated by the way the concept of fate in Greek myth was analogous to the African American experience. If there's any group of people that knows what it's like to try to find a certain amount of freedom within a cage, it's the African Americans.
Then there, are the Greek gods, who tend to make war for sport and are capricious to boot, using human beings as pawns in their bickerings with each other—which means that things on Earth are apt to change without warning. If a god decides something's going to happen this way, a human being really can't do much about it. Doesn't it sound a lot like the whimsy of a white plantation mistress and the punishments of the white master? What was interesting to me were the ways human beings—like Odysseus, like Augustus in my play—trick the gods. How does an individual struggle against overwhelming fate? Greek mythology is a natural kind of thing for African Americans.
In Oedipus Rex, a bold and arrogant leader is brought down. He's lost everything: he's lost his people, he's lost his home. At the end, he says, "Make me into an example." I've always felt that when he says, "Tell the world this story," it is, in a sense, a kind of triumph, because he has made himself into a work of art. At the conclusion of The Darker Face, Augustus proves that he can be a leader; it appears that he has chosen his people over personal love. The community makes him a hero, turns him into a legend. And yet he knows exactly what he did and didn't do, and in this moment of glory he has, in fact, just realized how little he has been able to do in his life. My play turns the notion of immortality on its head. It doesn't follow the Greek plot, but it is another view of the Greek moral.

Lady dimitrescu s/o bonding with the daughters?🙍‍♂️
(Ex: giving cassandra fighting/hunting tips)
Broken Truth: A Little Father-Daughter Bonding Time? Let's get writing!
- Bela Dimitrescu -
"Here, Bela." A deep voice called out as a buff hand held out a white hard-cover book with the title 'Creatures of Greek Mythology. Bela looked up from the book she was reading, locking eyes with the only male of Castle Dimitrescu that wasn't turned into wine or dinner - [Y/N] [L/N], Husband of Alcina Dimitrescu & Step-Father of the Dimitrescu Sisters.
"What's this, Father?" Bela asked as she placed her bookmark in her place before closing the book in her lap and took the book from her step-father's hands and looked at it closely.
"I noticed that you are fond of books that regarded Ancient Civilizations & Unknown Creatures. This is a book I've had since I was a child living in Greece (The Reader is Greek in this case)." The man exhaled as he took a seat in the chair beside the blonde-haired girl.
"Your book?" Bela looked at the book again before looking at her step-father. "Then this must be important to you, Father. Why would you give me this?" Shee asked.
"My mother told me that I would have a family of my own someday and I would want to give them my most prized possession - that book was the last thing my father gave to me before I never saw him again. I have read it more than 1,000 times by now; I'm sure Athena would be annoyed with me if I read it again." He explained.
"Who's Athena?" Bela asked.
"She's the Greek Goddess of Reason, Wisdom, & War." He said.
"DID SOMEONE SAY WAR?!" Cassandra's voice echoed in the room.
"There is no war, Cass!" [Y/N] yelled back.
"But, I heard war!" Cass retorted.
"Then go read a book about war!" the man replied.
"Reading about war!" Cass confirmed.
"She likes war, now." [Y/N] said as he looked back at Bela.
"Wait - If Athena is the Goddess of Reason, why is she also the Goddess of War?" Bela questioned.
"Well, she's not the official Goddess of War - that title belongs to Ares, The God of War. He and Athena kinda have a bit of a... sibling rivalry going around about that since most of Athena Followers see her strategy about war more successful than Ares' - they call her the Goddess of War." [Y/N] explained.
"They're siblings?" Bela's eyebrow rose.
"Half-Siblings: They have the same father but different mothers." The man corrected.
"Who is their father then?" Bela asked.
"That would be the King of all the Gods - Zeus, God of Lightning & King of Olympus." He said.
"Olympus?" Bela questioned.
"The Realm of the Gods." The father said.
"THERE ARE OTHER GODS?!" Bela questioned as the man chuckled to himself.
'This is going to be a long night.'
Sure enough, it was - Bela constantly asked questions with everything her father said, even at the dinner table - she wanted to know more. The man just chuckled as he chewed on his steak while his wife gave him a glare that said...
'What have you done?'
- Cassandra Dimitrescu -
"Whoa! Oph!" Cassandra landed face-first on the floor of her step-father's training room, once again parried against and sent face-first into the ground.
"I've told you once and I'll tell you again, Cass; you can't overthink when in a fight, it gives your opponent time to get you when you're distracted in your thoughts." [Y/N] said as he rolled his wrist, letting it pop before placing it on his hip.
"I don't get how you do it, Papa." Cassandra groaned as she picked herself off the ground and turned to face her father. "You move too fast for me to keep up."
"I move fast because I don't think - I let my body move for me." He said with folded arms.
"What do you mean? Bela told me that the brain controls all movement so how can you move if you don't think about it?" Cassandra asked.
"Have you ever heard of instinct, child?" He asked.
"You mean while those animals?" Cassandra asked.
"Not like that. Allow me to put it like this - has your body ever suddenly stopped, for now, reason just in time for something to almost hit you or you almost trip on something?" The father asked.
"Ummm. Once - Dani got mad a threw a knife but I stopped walking just in time for the knife to hit the wall in front of me." She remembered.
"That's what I am talking about - you were mindlessly walking and your body stopped just in time before the knife hit you. Your body sensed danger and stopped to keep itself from getting hurt." [Y/N] explained.
"So...if I don't think and I'm attacked - my body will react on its own and stop itself from getting hurt?" Cassandra asked.
"Yes. The body knows it needs to be protected and will not let anything hurt it but overthinking can cancel that instinct and you get hurt in the process." He explained.
"Oh...Can we try again?" Cass asked.
"Not tonight, little bug. We can try after breakfast in the morning. Deal?" He said as he rose to his feet.
"Deal, Papa." Cassandra smiled at her father figure - she was happy her mother chose him.
- Daniela Dimitrescu -
"Daddy? What's that in your hand?" Dani asked as she looked over at the small glowing box in her father's hand.
"This? It's my Smartphone." [Y/N] said as he looked up from his phone.
"Smartphone? So, it knows stuff?" The girl asked with a tilt of her head - she looked like a confused red-haired cat. "Well, it does if it's connected to the internet - that's why I got the Wi-Fi Box set up in the study." He said.
"Wi-Fi?"
"It's Wireless Internet."
"What's Internet?"
"The...World Wide Network - you can do almost anything on the internet. You can buy things, watch videos, play games, or whatever you want."
"Can I torture people on it?" Dani asked.
"Well...you could but I don't think you should." Her father said.
"How can I use the internet?" Dani asked.
"You need a piece of Smart Tech - Like a smartphone, a computer, or a smart TV."
"How do I get one?" She asked.
"I'll order some for you and your sisters, I have one for your mother already coming."
A Few Months Later - Dani became the mistress of the internet and then asked her father for a PS4 for her birthday. At night, you can still hear the wild cackling of the witch who devoured the souls of noobs in Call of Duty.
- The Dimitrescu Sisters + Alcina Has Had Enough! -
"Let him go! Father is going to tell me more about Greece!" Bela yelled as she pulled on her father's right arm.
"No! Papa and I are going to train so that I can master my Ultra Instinct!" Cassandra said as she pulled her father's left arm.
"As if! Daddy and I are going to play Call of Duty together! There's a team who wants to go against us and I need Daddy to help me crush their souls!" Dani yanked on her father's foot.
[Y/N]'s teeth locked in pain as he was being pulled apart by his daughters - he was happy they wanted to spend time with him but this was painful.
"That's enough!" He was suddenly yanked upward from them - they all looked up to see their mother with her husband's head buried into her chest.
"Give Father/Papa/Daddy back!" The sisters demanded.
"No! Listen here, you little gremlins, I haven't been able to spend time with my own husband because of you and your hobbies. You can do what you want alone because I have going to have my husband to myself if it's the last thing I do" Alcina said as she marched off with her husband slowly suffocating in her breasts.

Ok so not to be annoying and like KID ICARUS ON SWITCH 🤬🤬🤬🤬 buuuuut I have some reasons why we may have a better chance than most e3s
- with miitopia and skyward sword Nintendo seems like it’s wanting to do remakes at the moment (this point is only valid if we don’t get a new game we get a port)
- Two other Greek mythology games have been put on switch, Hades did great. Immortals Fenyx Rising didn’t do bad either to my knowledge I didn’t keep up with it as much but it seems both were at least a success.
- it’s near uprising 10th birthday and it’s the NES kid Icarus’s 35th so anniversary wise it would be nice to make a new one.
- They recently re released the figmas and that’s personally interesting to me because while people did order them I see a striking lack of photos of them online. They know there’s a fandom but they can’t really think we’re so big we’re going to make them boatloads of money can they?
Reasons why I’m not so confident:
- Antony del rio (pit/dark pits English voice actor check out his Instagram he’s a cool guy) said on March 22nd aka uprisings 9th anniversary that Nintendo hasn’t contacted him for a sequel but that the would totally say yes If they did. He also said them same thing in a Interview you can find on YouTube shortly after the games release.
- not much more evidence I can give but we haven’t had amazing luck in the past so there’s that 🤷
Things I’d want ranked in how much I want them
1. A new game
2. Magnus in smash (I’ve already posted about that but he would be a great fit in my opinion)
3. A manga (I love love love the Nintendo mangas and Nintendo has made short promotional comics for uprising and a few different illustrated game guides in the 80s I think they could and would do it if their in the kid icarus mood)
4. A anime or more animated shorts (from Palutena/dark pit smash commercial some people who don’t even know kid Icarus said they think it would be cool if smash bros got an anime in that style, I agree but obviously an only kid Icarus one would be nice to)
5. A port (the reason I ranked this so low is high quality screenshots would be nice but I’d rather have new content)
Things I’d like to see:
- MAGNUS LORE PLEASE Magnus is such a cool guy and there’s a lot in his lore since we only saw him a handful of times. Him losing his child to the underworld or his relation to Gaol wasn’t touched up on more than “it happened” it never said when or how. Even though he’s very closed off emotionally I would’ve at least liked to have him answer all pits questions when he was fighting for dyntos.
- phosphora!!! She’s not my favorite but the personality she has is something I really enjoy. I know that she would be someone I’d like to know more lore about to. I can’t think of any specifics because she was even more of a mystery so I don’t know what she’s like at all other than sassy.
- I NEED dark pit/mirror of truth lore please 🙏 I would like a straight answer to the weirdness that is the mirror of truth. Is it actually a mirror of truth??? Was dark pit really a screwup or is there just no possible way someone as good as pit could ever be in the underworld army? Why was he so confused when he came out of the mirror? Yeah I know he seemed very confident when he was first created and went right to fighting but I find it weird how he acted later. He stated multiple times that he was the original and that pit was the copy. I want to know what his thought process was for that at least. I also want dark pit and Magnus to interact, for no particular reason it would just be fun I think. I also just want to know how he’s doing being in viridis army and such.
- who would be the new leader of the underworld if Hades and Medusa are dead. Pandora may be dead we never got much confirmation on that since underworld people can be revived. And Thanatos didn’t seem interested in leading the underworld, it may be him being scared of hades but I think Thanatos might be dead to so I’m not sure. The show must go on souls need to be collected.
- the statement of just because we fought together doesn’t mean we’re friends from Palutena’s guidance made me sad because l want them to be friends :( idk I hope to see friendly interactions and maybe the pits being a little nicer to each other lol
Aaaaannywayy I probably have more to say but this post is long enough

Maybe I request a bouquet of potted plants? (This is a really cute request system you got here btw)  (also, used the previous request as a template bc Ive never really done one of these, so thank you Emma💛)
My name is Blair and my pronouns are she/they (im cool with anything tho), Im 18, Ive got curly brown hair, Im 5'3 (feet), Ive got grey eyes, Im about average sized but I got big thighs and hips so I have some curves.
My aesthetic is probs cottage core
My love language is touch, but I definitely vibe with words of affirmations and kind gestures too.
Im sassy, I get nervous when it comes to making small talk but I can easily deal with any other form of conversation, Im really chill and adaptable, I have a tendency to get overwhelmed easily, Im the advice person of my friend group and Ive been told I give the best relationship advice (despite me only being in 1 serious relarionship) I kinda talk like a stereotypical surfer (everyone is dude, I see it as a gender neutral term. heck, sometimes an inanimate object is dude) I love any type of Mythology, however Greek is my fav. I have a tendency to get super into a fandom or something and then get bored of it after (at most) a year. Im very clever and witty, Ive been told Im funny (which Id hope so with the absolute magnitude of jokes I make).
My first language is English and I can get by in Spanish (meaning I can hold a convo but not 100% fluent). Im p much a Jack of All Trades: I know a bit of sewing, knitting, building, woodwork, glasswork, pottery, ect. I really love drawing/painting and writing.
🌱 I match you with BadBoyHalo!
A/n: Thank you so much, I honestly didn't think my request system would work so well :) Thank you for requesting, hope you like it!
This man loves your cottagecore aesthetic, he finds it cute.
If you both move in together, he will most likely buy you plants and decoration items for your house that would fit your aesthetic.
He would let you style his outfit, although rarely because he thinks he isn't pulling it off as much as you are.
He would take you out on picnics where, if you'd let him, he would lay down on your thighs and admire you as you look around at the park.
He loves cuddling you and hugging you any chance he gets.
Will whisper to you about how much he loves you randomly. He loves praising you if you did something.
“You did so good, muffin!”
“You’re doing great, love!”
He thinks it’s cute when you get sassy, teasing you from time to time about it, but all in all he loves that side of you a lot.
He’s very patient with you when you’re having trouble making small talk, usually he’d just guide the conversation by asking you about your interests.
If you get overwhelmed about multiple things, rest assured Bad is there to help ground you and help you calm down. But if you’re away from each other he will pester you to call him anytime of the day when you need him. He won’t mind.
If his friends are having relationship issues and they tell him about it, his first thought goes to you.
“What will they say?”
“Maybe I should ask her if she knows anything about this.”
He won’t mind the way you talk, he thinks it’s normal and he likes it very much. If anyone would talk bad about how you talk he would scold them right away.
“What do you mean she talks weird? I think it’s completely fine.”
Would argue that your way of speaking is lovely and it makes you, you :D
Since in the Dream SMP, some lore is hinted at Greek mythology, he’d go to you first to ask questions.
“Who’s Theseus again?”
Will ask who is the gods and goddess of what and their origins, because he’s so intrigued. Also because he likes listening to you talk for hours on end.
Likes when you start to like a new fandom, because that means you have something to talk to him about.
Because of how clever you are, he often asks you to join him in Minecraft when he’s built a puzzle map. You’re the first to test it if you’d like.
Brags about you to Skeppy, Ant, Quackity, and Puffy.
“My s/o is so talented!”
“Ok, Bad, we get it, you’re in a relationship.” Jealous Skeppy.
All in all, 10/10 best boi, beware of his jealous best friend though!

what IS wrong with lore olympus i'm so curious all i hear is ominous mutterings
(( im gonna answer this ooc but. there are so many issues that are both legitimate issues and personal issues
hera, the goddess of marriage, cheats on her husband with hades. yeah zeus has his history of cheating everyone knows that but hera is literally the goddess of marriage. her cheating completely negates that part of her goddesshood.
artimis, the goddess of the hunt and the protector of women, has a rape occur in her home. now ive never read far enough to see if she condemns apollo for forcing himself on persephone, but she sure as hell plays along with apollo when persephone seems uncomfortable around him. the fact that she is not tipped off that her house guest is suddenly totally uncomfortable with a man she was friendly with before is fucking weird because shes the PROTECTOR OF WOMEN.
the age gap. now, its greek mythology. we know gods dont work like people. gods are simply built different. but the number of times the age gap is brought up and rubbed in our face is weird as hell. the thousands of years age gap is brought up all the time and makes it look like that hades is taking advantage of persephones youth and lack of knowledge about the world around her. the characters who bring it up make it weird. people are uncomfortable because persephone is 19 years old and hades is over 2000. yet no one tries to stop them. characters who were uncomfortable before are uncharacteristically super supportive the next chapter.
minth is an interesting character. shes a bitch yes, but she is unfairly demonized by both the author and the fandom. she was a bitch because she had to prove she was worth dating. she had to keep her spot dating one of the three big fucking kings. yes she did things to get her way, but she is a nymph. the gods see her as lowly and not worth hades time, so she goes out of her way to try to prove herself and keep him. then suddenly she is pushed to the side because hades wants to fuck his collage intern. she is enraged about it obviously but she is demonized for being upset by the author. its played like she should have just laid down and agrees that hades and persephone are meant to be. she is the only one who sees anything wrong with their age gap, the power dynamic, and the fact that the man who was going to purpose to her has just thrown her into the trash. shes the only sensible person in the whole comic and shes treated like garbage.
lastly, smyths interpretation of persephone is based off The White Goddess. she says this in her own post chaptor footnotes and qnas. The White Goddess is a book praised by white supremist neo-nazis. thats not a great look. i do not know the context of this book because i do not want to read it but that association can only mean, yknow, bad things.
i have friends who have their own issues w lore olympus. if you want more issues ill either post their issues with it or you can check the notes because they might add more on. ))

May I request a banquet of roses with Potted Plants ^^ (I hope I did that right XD)
My name is Emma my pronouns are she/her I am 19 I have shoulder length black hair and grey blue eyes. I pretty much look like mavis from hotel Transylvania, I am on the thicker side I got dem I’m like not skinny but I’m not plus size I’m just kinda mehhh I am also 5’8
I would say my aesthetic is like alt or dark academia
I am a Scorpio sun, Scorpio rising and a Aries moon. My love language is probably fiscal touch but I also don’t like being touched (ironic ain’t it) (if you get that reference I love you)
I am super stubborn. Im also SUPERRR sarcastic, like every thing I say is sarcastic in someway. I have low key anger issues. But like I’m also super chill and like go with the flow. I play a shit load of video games mainly animal crossing and Minecraft. I also ramble a LOT about stuff I really like, Greek mythology (it’s my favorite thing in the Entire world to talk about) and tinker bell lore (ITS VERY EXTENSIVE) and many other things. I also make a ton of like super stupid puns like dad jokes. And a LOTTTT of sex jokes.
I am actually from Russia but I am fluent in English because both of my parents are also fluent in English and I have live in America for most of my life. I am fluent in Russian (obviously) Spanish and French. I can play the bass, guitar, ukulele, drums, and piano. I am also trained in like swords...? Idk how to say it lmao but I can do a bunch of cool tricks ik I’m ✨talented✨ (I swear I’m not a narcissist and his is a joke)
I’m so sorry I told you like my whole life story. And sorry if some of it doesn’t make sense I did not proofread this.
Once again sorry this is so long I got carried away
🌱 🌹 I match you with Quackity!
A/n: I don’t mind it being long, this was actually really fun to write! Hope you like it! Thank you for requesting!
I feel like Quackity would definitely love your aesthetic. As your relationship progresses he’ll slowly start dressing the same as you, asking from time to time if what he’s wearing was ok.
He also loves your hair! He likes running his hands through it sometimes when you allow him to.
Surprisingly the two of you don’t argue as often as others would think. Both of you just find sarcasm funny and use it often when you talk.
But when the both of you do argue, it’s a long process of being stubborn and ignoring each other until one of you just decides to talk.
He also plays video games with you, and if you decide to stream, be ready for him to bother you until you agree to stream with him!
He loves listening to you talk about all the things you find interesting, won’t bother searching anything up in the internet because he will ask you about it.
He loves seeing you talk about something you’re passionate about!
When both of you are present in a stream, beware of sex jokes. Badboyhalo loves you both as a couple but he will be so tired of just saying “language” over and over again.
Being fluent in Spanish, he’ll talk to you a lot in that language. When you join him in streaming, he will talk to you in Spanish and joke around because he knows his friends and some people in chat won’t understand.
He will definitely brag about you being talented
“Mi amor can speak so many languages, it’s so cool, chat!”
“She can play so many instruments! Like holy shit, chat, she’s amazing!”
“Chat, listen, listen, she knows how to use a sword in real life, like what? She’s amazing.”
Will make a stream of you teaching him if you’re comfortable!
This boy loves you so much, please let him brag you to chat and his friends! <3

⭐star⭐/ Please tell us about "Eurydice" and why you break our hearts so. Lol. Okay, but, seriously, I'd love to hear more about the process of writing this story and how it affected you emotionally.
Oh boy, where do I begin? *rubs hands evilly*
Background
Okay, so Eurydice wasn't actually a spur of the moment thing. I actually posted the idea on a PatB Discord server about two months before I sat down and typed it out for real. I knew I wanted to write something for Halloween, and while my original idea for a Halloween story would've been a more comedic Scooby Doo parody, I decided that Eurydice would've been more interesting.
I've always been fascinated by mythology from around the world, thanks to the Percy Jackson series. If any of you have read those books, you'll know that one of the biggest and most tearjerking cliffhangers involved our beloved Percy and Annabeth voluntarily plunging into Tartarus together.
So I thought of the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. To summarize: A bride tragically dies on her wedding day. So Orpheus goes down to the underworld, convincing Hades to give her back with the most beautiful music. Hades agrees on one condition: Orpheus can't look at Eurydice before they both make it out of the underworld. Sadly, while Orpheus made it to the outside world, he laid eyes on Eurydice before she crossed into the living, and she was lost forever.
PatB Halloween plays with a similar concept. Brain is given a task and he must complete it so he can get Pinky back. But he fails, and the only reason Pinky was rescued at all was because the Devil can't anticipate Pinky being himself.
In the story, it was just a matter of switching out the cartoonish competition for the Orpheus and Eurydice method. Similar to Orpheus, Brain can't look at Pinky or he'll be lost forever. Mr. Itch directly references the myth when he's setting up the task.
"Your challenge begins, Brain," Mr. Itch declared, and the wicked fingers slowly released Brain's head. "And remember, no looking at Pinky until you're both in the surface world. But that's a moot point, ain't it? You're bound to forget soon enough. At least try to go for most of the length before your undeniable failure, okay? We wouldn't want the show to end too soon."
Brain's failures are almost always caused by his fatal flaws, similar to the characters in Greek tragedies. By this method, why should hell or any readers expect any different? Mr. Itch is banking on this fact and is practically using it for his very own torture porn. Brain is self-aware but has to try and succeed anyway, or risk losing Pinky forever.
Personal Emotions
I listened to a lot of dark music for the bleak feeling that pervades the beginning of Eurydice. But at the same time, it was important to keep hope alive through the story, mostly through Pinky himself.
By turning Pinky into a ghost and robbing him of everything that made him alive, Mr. Itch wanted to silence that hope. But even so, Pinky still found a way to reach Brain and give him the strength to succeed on an impossible quest.
Pinky had been helping him all this time. Somehow, he'd influenced selfish demons to unite against their cruel master and protect each other from serious injury. Somehow, he'd found a way to say narf despite his voiceless state.
I'll be honest, I was actually giggling to a stuffed Pikachu during some of the more sadistic parts. Mr. Itch might as well have been my author avatar for torturing these poor mice.
But even so, it took two weeks to write this story. Partially due to real life, and partially because I felt so bad for torturing my favorite characters.
Eurydice emotionally drained me so much that I wasn't able to write much for the next few weeks after posting.
I think what gets me is this: I love characters who fail a lot. Do I find them entertaining? Yes. Do I find it upsetting when they lose? Yes, even if they deserved it. Do I just want them to be happy and find fulfilment with the ones they love? Absolutely yes.
The Ending
I wanted to bring special attention to the ending, which deviates greatly from the tragedy of the source material.
While I entertained the idea of Brain failing to bring Pinky out, the truth is that the simple ending of them being okay, of them being together, of them cuddling in bed was planned from the very start.
If Brain is with Pinky, he's happy. If Pinky is with Brain, he's happy. If they're together, that's reward enough.
Plus after the hell they've been through, they needed the cuddles.
Besides, I subscribe to Don Bluth's method of putting cute characters through hell and giving them their happy ending.

A collection of my personal book favourites
Hello all!! As an avid reader, I'd like to recommend some books that I love, feel free to add in your thoughts on these books or add in your personal book recommendations as well (:
<More widely known books>
1. The Harry Potter series. I loved this series as it had relatable characters, was an absolute joy to read, and promotes great values such as friendship. It was also extremely interesting and had an amazing storyline. I couldn't put this book down once I started!
2a. All the Percy Jackson books. I absolutely adored this series because it was hilarious and easy to read, and it captured my full attention. Bonus points for this book because I always found Greek/Roman mythology fascinating. The friendship of the characters were really heartwarming, which made it such a delightful read. And on top of that, the demigods have some really cool powers that come from their godly parents which they use to fight off all sorts of monsters. The spinoff books are great too, they tell the stories of the greek gods and heroes respectively in the funny modern easy to understand voice of Percy Jackson.
2b. The Kane Chronicles series. The Kane chronicles brings the Egyptian myths to life, with all the different Egyptian gods. It follows the twins, Sadie and Carter, as they go on their journey to discover the mysteries that have been kept from them. The twins have great chemistry between them and I enjoyed seeing them work together, as well as fighting over the funniest things.
2c. Magnus Chase and the gods of Asgard series. This is about Norse mythology, which I didn’t really know much about before reading the book. It follows Magnus Chase and his friends as they try to save Asgard. It is also an interesting and addictive read, and I loved these books.
2d. The trials of Apollo series. This book follows the adventures of a very narcissistic Apollo, when he was banished by Zeus to live on earth as a human teen named Lester Papadopoulos and has to fight his way back to Olympus. And honestly, this book is really good. It's hilarious, and offers great character development and growth. Excellent storyline, and funny characters. I can’t say this enough: Rick Riordan has a great sense of humour.
3. 39 clues series. In this series, the books are split into a total of 4 series. The story follows Amy and Dan Cahill around the world, as they solve clues and compete with their relatives to get the secret behind the family that could make them the most powerful in the world. The cross cultural references was really refreshing since I got to step into different cultures within the same story. The children are also very intelligent, and they’re able to solve all the various clues, codes, and ciphers, so I learnt a lot about clue solving from this story too. This was an extremely engaging and fast paced story.
4. The Hunger Games series. This book was interesting to me as it offered a very different world from the one we live in. I enjoyed the read, and overall I consider it as a great book. I especially enjoyed the vibrancy of Panem, and the imagination and contrast of the different districts really struck hard.
5. Maze runner series. I loved the broader picture of the story moving from book one where they are trying to survive the maze, to book two and three where they face bigger problems than the maze. It is a very adventurous story, and gave me a similar vibe to the hunger games. Overall it was an enjoyable read.
6. The darkest minds series. The chemistry between Ruby and Liam was really strong. In this story, the children develop powers, and the adults split them into camps out of fear. Greens have intelligence, blues have telekinesis, yellows can control electricity, oranges can control minds, and reds are pyrokinetics. Interesting take on what would happen if kids had powers. My heart broke when I finished book one I cried for days. Thankfully, things got better after that though!
7. Divergent series. Also another adventurous book, where people are split according to their personalities. I found this book very interesting since it brings you along with Tris Prior as she goes along in a society that thinks she is dangerous. It is also a very radical book, but I won’t spoil it, you'll have to read to find out! (:
8. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. I loved this eccentric series of books, which was a hauntingly good read. I couldn't put down this book after I started, excellent details and language used throughout the series. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who love adventure, fantasy and slight horror.
<Lesser known books>
1. Nevermoor: The trials of Morrigan Crow series. I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT EMPHASISE ENOUGH HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS BOOK. Definitely one of my top two recommendations in this whole list. The creativity and imagination packed into this book is simply mindblowing, and the imagery used is so colorful. It tells the story of a young girl, Morrigan Crow, who has a huge gift (some magical gift) that will change the world.
2. Keeper of the Lost Cities series. This book was so good and again, I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS BOOK. The book brought me on an emotional roller coaster, and revolves around Sophie Foster, who is actually an elf with superpowers (yes, more than one). The characters are super lovable, and the storyline is to die for. Would definitely HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who loves reading.
3. The girl who dared to think series. Thought provoking and an absolutely enchanting book about a dystopian world where people are awarded points based on their thoughts by a computer system, until someone finds a way to change the points. Utterly captivating book, especially for those who love the sci-fi genre.
4. Fairy Tale Reform School series
5. The Land of Stories series
6. The School for Good and Evil series
All these offered an interesting take on the classic fairy tales, I'd encourage you to try one of them if you like fairy tales. If you like it, I'm positive you'll definitely enjoy the others as well. These books made me question what is truly good, or truly bad; and they left a lasting impact on me long after the stories ended.
7. Aru Shah (Pandava) series. Whoever knew Indian mythology was so bright and captivating? I enjoyed the portrayal of the characters, and their different personalities. Aru Shah's endearing nature definitely appealed to me, and I laughed and cried my way through this series. A wonderful read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
8. The Magisterium series. This book really drew me in once I started reading, and once I finished this series, I was never quite the same again (in a good way!). Another beautiful read that I would highly recommend, full of twists and turns that left me guessing at every turn.
9. The Hunt series. This book had me sweating profusely as I followed Gene in his quest to find the truth behind everything. It differs from the regular vampire stereotypes and this book had my full attention. This was a real page turner and I genuinely loved his writing style in this story.
<Honorable mentions (These were too good to leave out!)>
1. Frostblood Saga book series
2. The 100 series
3. Uglies series
4. Shatter me series
5. Red queen series
I hope you enjoy the books I recommended. Happy reading! (:

You and Techno both share a mutual agreement on Greek mythology.
You both like it more than people think.
You normally have conversations about it late into the night about the story of Heracles or the story of Theseus.
but there was always one thing he would come back to.
And it was happiness
"Name one hero who ended up happy, My love," They stopped reading the book that she had his face hidden in and shook their head. "You cant."
"...I can't"
"Can I tell you something?"
"Anything Techno"
"I want you to be the first," he says grabbing his hand "i want you to be the first hero to be happy"
They smile up to him "It's not to late for you to be the first you know"
He nods "I know, you tell me that all the time my love," He sighs and leans his head back looking away from his girlfriend "But unfortunately I lost the one thing that made it happy"
But when he looks back down to where you once sat you where gone.
He remembers who took you from him, and he knows that he could not get you back they way Orpheus tried to get back Eurydice.
Unfortunately he cannot get his goddess back.
And it was his job to avenge you like Achilles did to Patroclus.
That is what kept him going.
the thought of avenging you're life that was taken from him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just rememberd that most people wont understand the things i have just used but all you need to know is that the last two where lovers/thought to be lovers.

Don't really like the hunters of Artemis (mythological and pjo verse) because when I was younger I was obsessed with being a hunter of Artemis and so I read more Artemis based Greek mythology and found out she kills turns you into an animal and kills you for being raped. Artemis hunters in pjo/hoo also seem to hate feminine girls (but eh we all know Rick Riordan is sexist. After all most of his main female characters are 'not like other girls' and feminine girls are vilified so not much of a surprise) I also don't like how he made Thalia wear a 'death to barbie shirt' and be all like "God Aphrodite children suck, so feminine and weak' ad if feminity is inheritly weak? So to be strong you have to be masculine? To be a hunter you need to be masculine according to Rick??? I hate him so much. But I love that Artemis is inclusive of trans girls (can't if Rick also added that part to pjo/hoo because it's canon in mythology) but *sigh *
oh lord, i had no idea about the artemis killing girls for being raped thing... 😬 maybe that only happens in some versions of the myths? god i hope so. also i refuse to accept it lmao, no way!
i hate that rick wrote thalia as someone who belittles feminine girls too, and that death to barbie shirt omg... you can tell just how little of a grasp rick has on actual feminism bc barbie IS a feminist icon, barbie is amazing. to write a butch/tomboy charcter like thalia simply hating on barbie for being what, blonde, pretty and girly?? ridiculous, i mean the ignorance... 🙄 his writing of female characters is overall pretty lousy. and i can't remember whether artemis accepting trans girls in the hunt is actual canon or not, but for more than obvious reasons, i'm going to say that she definitely does!

Can you do headcanons about being the youngest of the sbi family with he/him pronouns(by the way can I just say I really really like your blog)
yes!! i really love the sbi concept:) thank you for requesting! i’m glad you like my blog<3
sbi x he/him reader
warnings: light mentions of bullying
your family was definitely odd
not in a bad way odd, but just enough to be like ‘what is happening with that family??’
your father, philza, had three sons
you were the fourth one
wilbur was the oldest
then technoblade
then tommy
and then you
wilbur was the only one who wasn’t adopted, the rest of you, phil had found you all somewhere. and of course he had to take you in
wilbur has a thing with playing his guitar in the middle of the night, you don’t really mind it now, but when you were younger, he gave you a heart attack every time he would do it (since you’re a very light sleeper and have thin walls)
you don’t have a favorite brother, each of them has their own personality that you like
like how wilbur will play his guitar for you whenever your sad
or how techno will let you braid his hair, or if you prefer, he’ll tell you stories about greek mythology
tommy always somehow makes you laugh, no matter what mood your in
you could be in the worst mood ever, and he could tell the stupidest joke and you’d be crying of laughter
so phil had wilbur first, and then when he was around two years old, he found Technoblade
then it was just them for a while, until they found tommy
and then they found you
phil had found you in a destroyed village when you were around six
he knew he couldn’t leave you there, so he brought you back to the house
your brothers welcomed you with open arms
now wilbur’s twenty one , techno’s nineteen, tommy’s seventeen, and you’re fourteen
since you’re the youngest brother, it’s common knowledge that all of your family is super protective of you
some people learned that the hard way when tommy learned that a boy was bullying his little brother
let’s just say, no one messed with you after they saw what happened to the boy
it’s not like the boy got beat up or anything
(phil makes sure to tell his children that fighting is never the answer in life)
so wilbur, technoblade, and tommy only threatened the boy with words
well, techno and wilbur did
tommy was too busy cursing him out
they got a lecture from phil for that, but they knew they weren’t actually in trouble
phil was actually glad that they had stuck up for you
and they didn’t even get into a fight (technically) while doing it
phil makes sure he doesn’t have a favorite child, since he doesn’t want to make any of you feel like you’re less important than your siblings
he’s a very good father, considering he has four kids to take care of
phil would do anything for his family
and you know all your brothers would too
even when you get upset at one of them, you really would do anything for them

I’m just going to adopt all side characters from J.K Rowling and Rick Riordan and make them mine.
Like yes Seamus and Dean are together and happily married.
So are Lavender and Parvati and they are awesome and have their own little shop with tea and tea leaves and all that stuff.
Blaise got a freaking vacation after having to deal with all the drama that he absolutely did not sign up for and when he comes back he’s really chill and it freaks everyone out at first but they get use to it. Just don’t get him angry, he will blow up at you.
All of them get therapy, I don’t care how old they are all these traumatized shits need therapy.
Next gen also gets therapy because it’s not easy.
James Sirius Potter is not a prankster but he does enjoy jokes and he has more of a dry humor.
Fred Weasley Junior is a prankster but he becomes a healer because he wants to make people laugh and heal them. His parents get really emotional over it and still call him their “baby boy”
Hugo Weasley adores reading but it’s mostly fictional and sci-fi and he gets them from muggle book shops. Ron ends up loving them and both will read a series together and argue (in a nice way) about whatever their reading and what they think will happen and stuff. He also gets diagnosed for adhd or something and that opens a whole new world for their family and their magical community.
Molly and Lucy are not twins and Molly is a squib. I read a fic about that but I can’t find it or remember who wrote it. She’s still a badass and adores who she is. Lucy has like mechanical leg but spells were created so that she can still fly on her broom and play quidditch.
Moving on because I can’t remember all of that right now
Drew is a bitch but she isn’t the worst person ever and after having a small breakdown everyone realizes that she’s still really hurt by Selina because that was her big sister who still betrayed her. Drew also can not paint her nails to save her life but she can walk in any heels without batting an eye and she’s tall, this is a tall girl who will wear heels without any shame and it’s the best thing ever.
Malcolm is the biggest nerd of all time. He knows everything about whatever he’s hyper fixed on but this boy can’t tell you anything about Greek mythology because he simply does not give a shit. Seriously, this dude can tell you everything about glue but he repeatedly mixes up gods and goddesses (it just got worse when he learned about Romans)
Clovis as we know travels through dreams and all that jazz, this dude when awake is the biggest gossip and no one (including him) actually knows if what he says is true because it’s from dreams. But he does give the great updates on celebrities and the younger campers love him because he’s the best story teller. He’s also lactose intolerant because I said so and he hates it with his entire soul and when he’s feeling petty he will eat an entire tub of ice cream even if he regrets it later.
Mitchell (son of Aphrodite) cares about what others think of him but he’s also really kind and while he won’t always stand up for himself he will absolutely destroy someone if they say anything about his siblings (and aren’t one of his siblings. Only his siblings can make fun of each other) and at some point he decides to change his entire bed and colors. Like this dude says screw social gender norms and now the cabin is this beautiful disaster and all of them love it. He also once shaved his entire head after one of his siblings got their eyebrows burned off.
After the wars Jake Mason is completely done with everyone’s bullshit. This boy is tired and he have zero fucks left to give. He’s unhinged and is chaotic lawful. He always has an energy drink in one hand and while he respects and listens to the camp counselor and Chiron he once climbed on top of his cabins table at lunch and sat in the middle while eating some sort of candy that he refuses to share.
Travis Stoll and Connor Stoll are not twins. Connor is trans and gay and Travis is bi and cis. Connor is literally one of the smartest people in camp and he had a small side business where he does homework for others (even over iris message) for some stuff in return. He and Annabeth are great friends and scare everyone when the team up. Travis changes a bit in college, it’s been so long since he didn’t have to constantly take care of other campers and younger siblings and at first he has no idea what to do. He’s literally the definition of disaster college student that has no idea how he’s passing class but he is. He’s also great friends with Annabeth but not as close to her as Connor. But the three of them absolutely consider each other siblings since they grew up together and with Luke as their older brother who hurt them.
That’s all for now!
