I don’t know what I thought oran berries were before (Blueberries??) but I just learned that ‘Oran’ came from ‘orange’, and their artwork shows that they’re essentially just blue oranges. Inverted oranges!!

Maybe this is common knowledge, but it took me way too long to learn this!

speaking of that one vegetation map i reblogged earlier, in madrid you can actually find the southernmost beech forest in europe, the hayedo de montejo !!! alongside other beech forests (tejera negra in guadalajara and la pedrosa in segovia) in the central system (the mountain chain that runs through the center of iberia), it is a unesco world heritage site :)

Mine's lychees. I can eat a whole kilo of lychees—I'm not joking. I'm a little too addicted to lychees. I just feel like with lychees, you can just eat more and more of them without getting tired.

omg i love lychees!! once at a restauraant bar, the bartender gave me and my friend a jar of lychee he was going to throw away (just because he had gotten a new can) and me and my friend ate allll those lychees :)

i think my favorite fruit would have to be mangoes!! i grew up eating mangoes a lot and i always love them. especially the not ripe sour ones -- i'll eat those with chili powder and salt - it's so good :)

when i was younger my mom would always tell me not to eat foods that were "too different" from each other at the same time because they could have weird and unexpected reactions in your stomach which i can see being sound advice but she took it to a point of grapes and apples shouldn't be eaten together because one is soft and one is not and grapes are capable of getting you drunk so who knows what else they could do if you mix them. or having pop while eating savory dinners because one is sweet and one is not and the pop has carbonation which could make my insides explode. anyways im having milk with my orange right now so i can hear her in my head saying something about the citrus causing a chemical reaction in my tummy and making a cartoon bomb in there.
