This character sheet for JR shows that he either has a hidden tattoo that says “Reagan had a friend” or the tattoo was completely removed but the creators still considered it in character for JR to be protective of Reagan and suddenly a million things fall into place.

The assumption has always been that even though JR pushed Rand out of the company he probably wasn’t all that mad at Rand because he wanted Rand’s daughter, Reagan, to succeed him as CEO of the company.

But what if it was the other way around? What if JR only tolerated Rand for Reagan’s sake?

It never occurred to me before but JR was around Reagan her whole life. JR isn’t dad material and Reagan clearly doesn’t see him as a father figure but JR grew protective of her anyway and it seems like Rand knew. Rand says he raised Reagan the way he did and messed with her memories solely to keep a hold on JR. “JR is going to push me out but I know he likes Reagan and will let her stay and I’m going to make sure she has nowhere else to go”

For all we know Rand also messed with Reagan’s memories of JR to make sure she wouldn’t be loyal to him and JR kept his mouth shut because he knew how dangerous Rand could be and just tattooed “Don’t trust Rand” and “Reagan had a friend” on his body.

Rereading The Lost Hero and having a lot of emotions about Hephaistos answering Leo's prayer. His first and only ever request to his dad. And it is to bring Festus back to Bunker 9.

Because Festus is dead. And Leo is crying. And everything just happened so fast and they were falling and then Festus woke up again and now he's dead. And Leo barely even thinks this entire time. He just... does. He looks around and he finds Festus and he cries and he listens and understands and removes the dragon's head and he begs to his dad to please please just bring it back to Bunker 9.

And literally a chapter before when Leo talks to his father for the first time in his life, he isn't fond of the idea that Hephaistus would call him son, and that he definitely doesn't plan on calling him "dad". And in his prayer/ request he does. He says "dad please" in these two sentences.

I don't really know what exactly my point is here but the emotions in my head sure are emotioning.
