A soft chuckle emits somewhere in the unlit room.. Not that you'd know whether or not the room was truly lit or not when your eyes have been blindfolded. He shushes you in hopes that you'll let your guard down. However..

"Khehee. My little fae, why do you seem so scared?" Though he does not outright say it, Lilia enjoys watching how much your body trembles just by hearing his voice. He knows that he was the one to teach you to fear things, but he never anticipated that one day you'd turn his lessons against him. After taking care after you for so many years and this is the result.. He could only sigh if it weren't for the fact that he quite enjoyed being a sadist. And he has to admit, he must have gone wrong somewhere so he is partially at fault.

A wide grin that only a madman such as he could perfect smeared on his face. The sound of chains dragging on the floor sounded in your ears when you shuffle your legs close to you. You bit your lips, refusing to talk to him for as long as you could.

This only spurs him to crouch down to level your eyes and carress your cheek. His hand is slender and cold but that wasn't the reason you shuddered. What made you shiver was the thought of someone who you confide all your problems with and trusted deeply, especially when it came to protecting you, showing their monster and unwanted sinful desires towards you. "Hm~ What's this? Why is my little fae refusing my touch?" He pouts when you turn your head away from his hand.

"Are you perhaps being shy?" He chuckles and shakes his head when he falls trap to his own fantasies. "What a silly little thing."

Having enough of doing all the talking, he decides that it was about time for you to sing him praises. Chains rattle again, this time not because of you but because of him. He grabs your ankles and pulled your entire body close to him.

His cold leather gloves made you gasp which only fueled him on. "Fufufu. I knew I'd like you better this way," he comments, now towering over your form. You try not to cry as he leaves wet kisses on your inner thighs. It felt disgusting and O' how you wished your body didn't betray you at this moment, biting your bottom lip to keep all the noises he so desperately wants to hear from escaping.

He chuckles at your pathetic tries of fighting against the idea of giving up and submitting to him. If he had known years ago that you were going to become like this, maybe he should've discarded the notion of teaching you all those things that he would later have to pay a heavy price of not loving you the way he wants to and greatly resenting it. "Hn..!" Oh? Your legs trembled as he gives a kiss to your clothed sex. You could not see the sadistic smile that stretches his face that shows his fangs.

It was at this moment that he decides to skip all that long foreplay and teasing you. Another time, maybe, but not right now.

He slips off your underwear, feeling a wave of excitement surge through him. Lilia admits, he hasn't always thought of you this way so something must be wrong with him.. "You've put me under your spell, little fae.." His voice sounds deeper; serious.

But- Grim flower boy is just so cute idea 😭 It's like, the bride is here with her found family, Lilia is the one to take the groom and the bride to the altar.

Lilia first take his dragon boy, saying his parents would be so proud of the love he found, and that him, has the one who raised him, is so proud to have lived enough time to see this moment. He make the speech like with his causual funny tone, but you can see in his happy smile and in his sparkling eyes that he is about to cry.

After the groom, he runs outside again, and comes back a bit later with the bride. Nobody heard what they told to each other. But be sure Papa bat have the "Take good care of him" talk with his boy's soon-to-be wife.

The groom is speechless facing his wife (have already the title for a long time for him- The wedding is just a way to tell it to the whole world). The bride shine of hapiness. They look at each other like nobody is in the room, and their old schoolmate from NRC are all here for the ceremony.

The wedding start, official speech are told, traditional ritual make...and it's time for the rings !

Here he is. Entering like a prince in a white suit, the cat monster with his fierce look going to the altar with the rings. His whole being tell "Look all at me. It's me who have the rings. I'm the Keeper of the rings !"

He gave the rings, vows are exchanged, bleesings given, the groom kiss the bride. Some are happy and shows it. Some have a little teardrop under their smile. Some tries to keep their pride. Some success. Some other tries, but have an ugly cry. And finally we have the one who just have the ugly cry of hapiness.

And finally, quitting the wedding office, the bride and the groom walks in the aisle under a flower rain (created by Grim. Best boi trains for months to make the surprise -and be sure it doesn't end in a fire).

It was a memorable wedding.

And not only because of Lilia's surprise cake.

Lilia had always wanted to wear a formal suit and he finally had a reason to, at his son’s wedding.

Malleus looked as handsome as ever and Lilia could feel the sting in his eyes, looking at him now.

“Come my boy, let me tie that for you.”

Lilia floated to him, helping him with his tie. Malleus watched Lilia quietly with a smile on his face.

Lilia noticed and teased, “What? Not going to say you are too old for this old man to help you?”

Malleus clasped Lilia’s hands in his, “If I have learned anything, it is that you could never be too old for a parent’s love.”

Lilia felt his tears fall as a smile graced his lips, he hugged Malleus tightly.

“Thank you for loving me.”

Lilia watched as Malleus and YN got married. Grim in particularly vibrating with joy and looking smart in his outfit.

He didn’t blame him; Lilia himself was vibrating from joy.

So many joys in life he experienced, he was truly blessed.

Meleanor and Levan, I hope you’re watching this. Malleus has become a fine young man.

As the bride and groom walked down the aisle, Lilia smiled.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We have a frightening tale for you today... reader be scare, you're in to beware! Please, come in. Sit in the Chilling Chair at our Terrible Table in our Devious Dining Room. Now, I hope you're hungry, because we've made plenty of PETRIFYING PASTA! Fufufu... let's begin.

It was looking to be a very special Halloween. This particular year, the holiday had fallen on Friday the 13th! Spooktacular! Alas, nobody could go trick or treating, for there was a blood moon that day, and nobody wanted to be outside where their costumes would be stained with all the blood. Sigh... what a boring, uneventful day it was shaping up to be!

But then... a sound right outside. The sound of the mailbox opening and closing. Mail? On this federal holiday? How strange! And a bit disconcerting... who would dare to venture out with the town moist with blood? Maybe a vampire... eep! I opened the door, shivering, worried I may accidentally invite the hypothetical vampire inside, only to find...

Nobody there. No body at all. Just a severed, green hand clinging to the mailbox. So that's what the sound was! And here I was, worried it would be something scary. I shooed the little critter away, and as it scuttled off on its fingers, I saw that it had left something in the mailbox! Something familiar.

Why, it was a copy of Super Mario 64 DS! How generous, a Halloween miracle! I had been wanting to play this lately, but my childhood game card had stopped working. This was shaping up to be a nice Halloween after all! It was a used copy, and it still had the price sticker on it, having been resold at $6.66. Upon seeing this number, I immediately screamed. Someone had gotten an incredible deal on this game!

So, I opened the box. Everything was in great condition! Even the manual was included! I don't remember the manual looking like a torn piece of paper with "I SEE YOU" written on it with blood, but it's been a long time. I know I still have my original manual around somewhere, so no need to flip through this one. I got right to playing the game!

What a rush of nostalgia! There was my friend Mario's funny face on the touch screen, ready to be tapped! And tap I did! Rather than the game drawing the lineart of Mario's face, though, it drew something else. A tombstone with my full name, date of birth, and another, later date written on it. Weird! Must be a weird coincidental thing drawn by the previous owner? I played around with the squiggly lines and spun it around. It was fun :)

I got right into the game, and everything was just as I remembered it! I was visited by Lakitu, went into the castle, and jumped into the first painting, like I had so many times before. But something definitely was strange here. I was reasonably certain that the first mission of Bob-omb Battlefield was not called "Kill The Big Bob-omb Dead" in any version of the game! Nevertheless, I continued on.

That was when I saw it. Where I would expect a Bob-omb Buddy to stand was the most terrifying character design I had ever seen. Against my better judgement, I approached and interacted with it.

"Hi! I'm Bob-omb...

BLOODY!!!"

EEK! I could not believe my eyes! I would expect such material in an "adults only"-rated game, but in MARIO?! I had no idea what to do. I continued playing for some foolish reason, running off toward the Big Bob-omb the way I always would, hoping to find comfort in the familiar. The game felt normal again, aside from how Big Bob-omb left a large splatter of realistic blood on the ground when defeated, and I was mercifully brought back to the safety of Peach's Castle.

And yet... I felt a morbid curiosity. An urge to continue playing. Maybe it was just a glitch? Maybe the second mission would be back to normal, and I would get to see my friend Koopa the Quick? That would be nice. I selected the second mission, and...

It was normal. It was safe. The Bob-ombs, Buddies. Maybe none of that was even real. Maybe I was still shaken up about the knock at the door earlier? Whatever it was, it wasn't important anymore. I could finally play my funny Mario game and have fun! I walked on over to my friend the Koopa and interacted with him.

"Excuse me? Can I help you? Who are you?"

I was confused. Wasn't he supposed to ask for Mario? Wasn't this Koopa the Quick?

And then, as if he heard me, he turned his head. He wasn't looking at Yoshi. He was looking straight through the screen at me, and his eyes were more realistic than ever.

"I'm not Koopa the Quick.

I'm Koopa the TRICK!"

AIIIIIEEEEE!!!

Of course, none of this has been real! Just some Halloween Hijinxs! There is no such thing as a realistic turtle!

I now read everything Malleus says as extremely ominous and foreboding (knowing the context of book 7) 👨 THEY’RE ALL RED FLAGS 🚩, YOUR HONOR *proceeds to perpetuate the red flags by giving Malleus reasonably optimistic but also ominous-in-the-right-context dialogue*

A Boy in Bloom, and his Flowering Future.

“What makes you glad you can use magic?”

Malleus paused, pondering the question. “What an odd inquiry.”

“For Malleus-senpai, yeah. You use magic for almost everything! It must be hard to just pick one thing about it that makes you go, 'I'm thankful for this!'. But for me…” Deuce tilted his head back, looking up to the structure that loomed over them.

It was the main building of the campus, housing numerous classrooms and offices. Regal and imposing, with several turreted towers and balconies, it was less an academic institution and more like a castle. A castle where dreams and wishes came true. Among them, his--if he worked hard enough.

"I'm happy that I got into Night Raven College," he said earnestly. "I never thought I had the magic potential to make it to a place like this, but here I am... standing at the steps."

Malleus's mouth curled. "What a surprise. Many of the students I've encountered here are the self-assured types. If I may ask... Why is it that you did not believe yourself worthy to stand among us here?"

"Long story short, I was kind of a delinquent back then. I'd use my magic to get up to no good. Y'know, laying the smackdown on anyone that talked shit or looked at me the wrong way."

"... 'Lay the smackdown'? 'Talked shit'? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with such colloquialisms."

"Er, it sounds really wrong hearing those words come from you... Basically, it means 'fighting' and, 'when people say bad things about you'. Got it?"

"I understand. Perhaps I will take care to incorporate such terms into my vocabulary. It may even make me appear more approachable to others."

"AHHHH!!!" Deuce startled, frantically waving his hands to silence his interviewer. "M-Maybe that's not such a good idea!! I think Sebek'd tackle me to the ground and kill me on the spot for teaching you bad words..."

"Fufufu, I jest."

"A-Are you really...?"

"Of course. Please, continue sharing your story." Malleus gestured for him to proceed. "Pray tell, why is it that you became entangled in such affairs?"

"Lots of stuff," Deuce said vaguely. "Mostly because I stood out. Didn't really fit in. It was easier to take out my frustrations on others than to work on myself.

"When my magic came to me, it was helpful to have in fights. It would drive some people off, and they'd leave me alone. They were scared of getting crushed again by a cauldron."

"Scared, you say... Hmm." Malleus looked pensive. "I see. So there are cases where non-mages feel threatened by the existence of mages."

"Huh?!" Deuce stared at him, eyes bulging. "That never occurred to you before, senpai?!"

"Magic comes naturally to me. It is capable of blessings and miracles. I cannot imagine why anyone would fear it."

"Well, I think it's because magic can do good things, but it can also do bad things.”

“Good and bad…” Malleus’s brows crinkled as the considered the thought, a finger to his chin.

Deuce’s stomach dropped at the sight. “Did I speak out of turn?! Y-You don’t have to listen to what I said if you don’t want to, senpai! Forget me, wh-what do I know anyway?!”

“… No, not at all. I was just thinking about your words. It reminds me of something my grandmother told me.”

“Eh, your grandma? Y-You don’t mean the queen of Briar Valley? I… reminded you of her?” Deuce squealed, afraid to speak her name.

“Yes, she.” Malleus’s eyes darkened, resembling a storm right before lightning struck. “Grandmother says that we Draconias were gifted with great powers—and with it, great responsibility to our people and their smiles. It is with this power that we are able to protect our country.

“Is it not similar for magic in general? The wielder is the one who determines whether one’s magic is used for ‘good’ or for ‘bad’ means. In which case… it is up to each of us to use what we have for ‘good’.”

“Draconia-senpai…!!” Deuce clutched a fist to his heart. A smile was at his lips, his eyes shining. “You get me!! I… I want to use my magic for things like that! To defend my friends and my family…!!”

“That is the way.” Malleus smirked, relishing in the newfound fire in his junior’s eyes. “The power to protect those you love is within your own hands. All you must do is shape it, guide it… and make that dream come true, regardless of the obstacles that may cross your path.”

“I’ll do my best!! If there’s one thing I know I’m good at, it’s being stubborn!”

“That kind of persistence is unique to you.” Malleus showed his teeth. “Take pride in that, Spade.”

"You bet I will!!"

"... Incidentally, how do you fare in Defense Magic?"

"Urk!!" The birthday boy visibly deflated--an indication of his answer. "N-Not the best... I studied as much as I could, but still barely passed my last exam. But don't worry about me, Draconia-senpai!!"

Deuce pointed at his temple. "I'll train my brain even more so I can get at least a C next time!!"

A C... so he means to say that he earned a D on his previous exam.

A low laugh rumbled out of Malleus. “How truly tenacious of you, Spade. I wish you the best of luck on that journey.”

He lifted a hand, fingers curling around the milky orb floating in the sky. The wind rustled upon his command, ushering in a cool breeze that chased off the bleating heat of summer.

“The birthday road, and your future, awaits.”

“Yes!! I’m on my way!!” Deuce eagerly mounted his broom. His knees were tucked together tightly, stiffly securing the handle.

“Ah, and Spade. One more thing.”

“Yeah? What’s up?”

“When the times comes,” Malleus said with an easy smile, “you are free to defend yourself against my magic.”

Deuce nearly fell off of his broom at the suggestion. “Whaaat?! There’s no way I’d be able to hold up against your magic…! I’ll be just a pile of ashes by the time you’re done with…”

He caught himself and stopped. A deep breath taken, and then he set his jaw. The peacock green of his eyes had dimmed into a shade more serious.

“… No. I… I just told you that I wanted to be the kind of guy who’s capable of defending the people he loves. That means no running away, even if I’m scared, even if I know I might not win! That’s my promise to myself.”

“Fufu, that’s what I like to hear. I will be expecting you sometime then.”

Deuce gulped. “Got it! I’ll face your challenge and my future… head-on!!”

FwooooOOOSH!!

A steady wind kicked up, starting small and growing into a powerful gale. Deuce yelped as his broom bucked forward, inching above the ground on only a few startled sparkles. He looked back in horror, only to find Malleus chuckling into a hand.

Had that been a magical push?

“Heh, so that’s how it’s gonna be?” A wicked glint had surfaced in Deuce, from the eyes to his grin. “I’ll show you just how I ride…!”

Gripping the handle tightly, he leaned forward, bracing himself for a familiar rush. Height wasn’t his goal, but speed.

The world stilled. His senses sharpened, his thoughts growing louder, more insistent.

Imagine a magical wheel. Think of becoming one with the wind. So fast that you’re not yourself anymore.

He blasted off, a tornado of swirling blue petals left where he had once been. Flitting down lazily, drunken on the moonlight, they were the mark of a speed demon reborn.

The past, far behind him.

The flowing movements and dramatic shifts, the well written story…you just had to!

He thinks some people in the audience teared up at the villain’s backstory just like you

In the end, when they all bow to the audience, he can see you stand up and cheer for them

You go backstage and congratulate all of them, smiling at them with bouquets for all of them…

Translator’s note: Reiji and Kanato are a...fascinating combination to say for sure. They were paired for the very first VERSUS CDs as well though, so it isn’t exactly new either. I remember back then it revealed how Reiji could be much more intense than his initial calm demeanor leads to believe, but after HDB, they decided to kind of get rid of this ‘wild’ side of him for some reason. Although in this case, it might be for the best because Kanato already brings more than enough chaos to the table.

What appears to be true is that OO seems to be based on a plan I created for the final performance with Wataru-niisan back during the confliCT.

I can tell that because of the name “OO”. That is the performance I dreamed up back thEN.

But it’s stranGE. Back thEN, I had burned the proposal for “OO” and disposed of iT.

“Tsumugi-niisan” added it to the bonfire that evening alongside the records that cast the student council and it’s main forCE, fine, in a bad ligHT.

And yET, incomprehensibLY, here is a performance based on the proposal that should have been turned to ashes on that dAY—it’s been turned to realiTY.

So what’s to explain thIS? Perhaps this is some conspiraCY?

Natsume: Why are you grinning like thAT, Wataru-niisan?

Wataru: Am I not always grinning cheerfully? I’m a jester after all!

Natsume: HmPH… Oh weLL. Even if this is the same sort of conspiracy that brought us down during the wAR…

Awww this is so cute! Also, I'm pretty proud of this one! It was actually easier than I expected, since the ideas flowed together really smoothly for this one! Guess I share the sentiments towards this Miku then! Thnx for the request, and I hope you like the result as much as I did!

Niigo Miku is perhaps one of the most, if not the absolute most innocent variation of vocaloid that there is in the sekais, so to have people doting on her is actually quite normal!

She still isn't really used to it though. She does enjoy the visits that you and the rest of Niigo do, but to bring her so much stuff... She sometimes feels as if it's unnecessary, but she will never stop it herself.

Especially not when it's from you, since you're the one who has gifted her more things than anyone! Some string for cat's cradle, some marionettes to learn to use, some books to read while passing time alone...

She sometimes just stares at the stash of gifts she has received from you, no longer thinking about what to do out of boredom, but instead out of so many options! She does tend to default to the ones she already knows though...

However, no matter how many gifts you may offer the innocent singer, she loved your doting company more than anything else you could offer! There's nothing that can make her eyes light up easier than your voice breaking the silence of the sekai!

"Ah, it's you... Fufu, I'm glad to see you back... Yes, I finished reading the story you gave me. Here you go-... Your hand is so warm... Fufu, you really enjoy patting my head, don't you? It feels really nice as well..."

She doesn't even notice the blush that appears on her face whenever you pat her head or hug her tightly! And although her monotone voice may be hard to break, it's easier to tell that she's happy to be near you.

The other vocaloids easily notice how strong the bond between you and Miku is, and they usually leave you two alone whenever you enter the sekai! (With the exception of Luka sometimes teasing you both) They can tell that you enjoy her company, and that she's just starting to loosen up!

Sometimes, the innocent singer will be just playing with a set of cards that you gave her, and she will randomly stop and blush! The vocaloids used to question her, but they now know that she tends to think of you and your actions while she plays.

It doesn't take long before Miku starts to show her happiness more! Her tone will very slowly start to shift to express her joy, and her movements will loosen up! It's not that much progress, but it's enough to notice!

And that's when she starts to outwardly tell you how much more she enjoys your visits than your gifts! It's a little hard to say, and you notice that she struggles a bit, because she doesn't want to insult you...

But the look on her face as you decide to visit more instead of using that time to search for the best gifts to visit her instead is so precious, it will stick with you forever! Her gentle smile, with those sparkles in her eyes...

"Fufu! You don't have to make such a big deal out of it... I'm just learning to appreciate what you give me. Fufufu, and as much as I enjoy the gifts, your presence if a better one than any of the others..."

Eventually, you'll come to realize that you don't need to give her much, just making time for the vocaloid is enough to make her happy! And she will thank you for it endlessly, as she continued to blush from headpats!

She also gets the courage to actually appear on your phone from time to time to ask for your presence! You had already gotten used to predicting her loneliness, but this make it so much easier to take care for her!

All in all, it's one of the sweetest things that could happen to lighten up the dull atmosphere of the Empty sekai, and Miku will never let go of the warmth that you never fail to bring with you!

Happy living soushin fangame VN

Over the last couple of days I've been utterly obsessed with a VN of one of my favorite ships! Soushin from Kimigashine aka YTTD, it was also my first time playing a machine translated VN which while it had flaws it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected!

Basically the game is a sort of time based VN where you play as Sou Hiyori (aka Midori if you're going by the default nickname, to lessen confusion I'll just call him Midori since it's usually what I refer to him as when I'm discussing the VN with my friends) living with Shin Tsukimi (also known as Sou Hiyori, this is definitely not a VN that's good to jump into if you're unfamiliar with the source material!)

Depending on the hour of the real time clock you might get different events that lead to some super adorable CGs (the game has a hint system in the album, some of them were a bit confusing due to the machine translation but I was able to 100% the game) most of the time you'll access stuff by cooking for Shin or talking to him but you can also get some from doing stuff like playing rock, paper, scissors with him such as CGs and tokens (which don't factor in till way later in the VN) as well as one of the events only occurring on the weekend, so either be ready to change around the internal clock on your phone/computer or just wait it out!

Petting Shin will also sometimes lead to events and also got me and my friends who were watching me live play super stuck for a while lol, basically the petting system is a bit finicky with the mouse and you're going to want Shin to have a sort of '...' reaction next to his head to properly do it you can usually achieve this by double clicking and then holding the mouse and stroking his head, I think this is a common thing in these types of games but I've only seen it in some weird touhou Tenshi flash game I saw as a kid.

Anyway, the VN does an alright job at simulating the idea of playing as a yandere character who could snap at any point like Midori it's nothing too deep but a lot of the spooky CGs created a slight horror atmosphere, after a certain event Shin winds up chained up in a basement and it gets to the intense parts! But also has so many cute CGs of Shin (fufufu especially the aphrodisiac one from the cooking minigame)

I definitely recommend it to any fan of Soushin like myself! But try to play the source material first if you're just interested in the BL aspect.

(1) It is actually not surprising that Cordelia was not affected by the lunar eclipse, or reacted to it in a different way. While in the earlier games, we thought that she was half-Vibora and half-Vampire, in Dark Fate it is revealed that she is half-Vibora and half-Founder, therefore not suffering from the same symptoms as pureblood or half-blood Vampires do in regards to the eclipse.
