I have awoken from my slumber because I've been pondering the recent news about The Sunshine Court. All I can think about is how much of a massive weirdo Jean is going to be compared to the rest of The Trojans because he grew up in the most hostile, most cultiest environment 😭 .. I cannot wait to see him learn that he doesn't have to dress like everyone else. Eat, shower, sleep and go to class with at least one team member by his side ... but I do hope they find him strange and offputting because babygirl you ARE
top gun is not about actually joining the navy or the military, top gun is about becoming the fastest fighter pilot in the navy because every time you get up there in the sky you’re racing against the ghost of your dead dad and beating him is the only way you can prove yourself to him, it’s about a mustache a haircut and a song being the only way to tether yourself the the dad you never knew, it’s about seeing your best friend every time you look into the eyes of his son, it’s about hating someone and how that’s easier than loving them, it’s about letting someone resent you for the rest of their life because of a decision to keep them safe, it’s about fighting and shoving as an excuse to touch each other, it’s about losing a wingman, it’s about the inevitability of losing a wingman if you haven’t yet already, it’s about letting go of the past and letting the dead be dead and somehow learning to live for yourself while still keeping them in your heart
i would love to know your fav tracks on all the75 records!
Thank you for the ask!! The original prompt is here, feel free to send other albums!
The 1975- This one is hard because this might be my favorite 1975 record. That said, "So Far (It's Alright)" is my favorite track, but excluding everything on the deluxe version, it's probably "Heart Out" or "Robbers," which a little bit basic, but I stand by it.
I Like It When You Sleep...- I Like It When You Sleep... my beloved. "If I Believe You" is probably my favorite and "Loving Someone" is a close second.
A Brief Inquiry...- I think "Inside Your Mind" might be my favorite track on this record, but "I Like America" deserves an honorable mention.
Notes- "Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America." No further notes. Honorable mention goes to "Bagsy Not In Net."
Being Funny in a Foreign Language- This is The 1975's best record and I stand by that. "Part Of The Band" is my favorite song on this record, but "When We Are Together" and "Happiness" deserve honorable mentions.
