About language brainrot. Imagine writer creator reader who finally learns how to write in Teyvat's weird symbols and they want to publish their book. They decided to do it anonymously to avoid the "aaaaaah our creator wrote the holy scripture" sort of situation. Except it didn't work. The reader's style is too different from the rest of the world, so even if they tried to simulate the flowery speech it wasn't effective.

Another thing. Reader who decided to read some local books to practice their reading. They asked for something simple and similar to their speech. But the only books merely similar to it are 2000 and more years old. It's funny how the older text is the more you can understand it. On this note. If reader write something i feel like it would be hard to understand for Teyvat's people.

Imagine a reader who is autistic or has any other NDs imparing their communication skills. They practically trained themselves to say sertain phrases in sertain situation. But it doesn't work in Teyvat. And everything just stacks at each other. Difference in speech, being a God (so people react weirdly to you), bad communication skills, not understanding nonverbal cues and so on. There's gonna be a lot of misunderstanding. I imagine how followers would walk on the eggshells not to upset and angry their God and reader who does the same not to say something people will get wrong. Again.

Reader who regained all their memories of creating Teyvat, they're super powerful and stuff. But they still struggle with the modern language. Because all the memories are like millions years old.

i really hope u mean like cute platonic stuff with yautja taking care of child!!! Otherwise this request is very sus. I dont want to use word "child/kid" in every sentence so the kid will have pronouns they/them

He would be overprotective! especially towards human kids, like they are much smaller and little stupid weaker than yautja ones

His instinct will tell him to train them and go on huntings with them BUT LIKE HE DOESNT KNOW when should he start?? Like how old human pup must be to be ready for first hunt???

I guess since hunting is a huge thing in Yautja culture, first hunt with their kids is like essential for them.

Probably will take them around teenage years, not too late but not to young too

Also growing up around yautjas kid will automaticly be more athletic and skilled than average earth teen

But back to kid being kid. HE WILL MELT if they hold his hand or fidget with his armor! of course its dangerous and sharp! but its so cute! Yautjas are very curious beings too, but they wouldnt randomly come to LEADER of a Clan and start just start fidgeting with his armor/locks

Also he sometimes forgot that human kids take more time to learn basic stuff, how to walk for example. so he will just start walking his normal pace, turn around becasue they didnt hear kid's steps and just see them laying on the floor cuz they fell :(

He would spy on normal human families to see how kids behave and how perents treat them! Yknow Yautjas arent like humans they dont really care about their kids after they learn how to hunt

IF kid will call him space dad OR just dad he will accually have lil heart atack! Please thats so cute!!

Play-fighting all the way, thats how pups learn their strengths in fun ways! also mayyybee he acidently yeeted them too hard and they flew away like 2meters (mayyybeee but totaly on acident!!)(nothing serious happend exept flying child)

Noone can litteraly hurt them(exept their own perent apeareantly) cuz if somone does, death for them :) or at least a lot of hissing and punching

Theres no way in hell that he will braid their hair, he is too tired to learn how to do that! And human hair constantly grows!!why!! pls its everywhere!!! So he would probably cut them short, it grows back anyways so whats the deal?? But if kid really reallllyy loves their hair i guess they can stay in certain lenght BUT they take care of it alone he doenst want to deal wtih it (mental break down due to one event when he tried to do pretty braids and it got tangled and he didnt know what to do)

But even if he really loves them, and treats them as his own, he still wants them to hunt or at least help the clan in someways, he doenst want his kid to grow up to be useless. He will try to find something that would fit them (for example if kid is intrested in crafting they may become a blacksmith in future (ihave no clue if yaujtas have blacksmiths i just took random profession alr))

Overall 9/10 amazing dad material, although he sometimes doenst undestand human body and how it really works

minho, soul, jisung, and beomgyu seem to ease some of their tension as seungmin speaks. if seungmin believed you, they should too.

you laugh, “i always knew i could count on you.” you reply as you rest your head on his shoulder.

“i still think you’re crazy,” minho says, doubt laced in his tone.

“you always think i’m crazy,” you retort, making everyone laugh.

“so are you going to talk to him?” jisung asks, causing you to cringe at your own actions.

“yeah so about that,” you are somehow dreading telling them you left him on read after texting him in the most ominous way more than actually telling them about the dreams.

they’re all practically lunging at you when you pull out your phone and bring up the texts. most of them laughing at you while minho berates you for being creepy.

you have no clue where to go from here.

What if Q from Star Trek is Desmond’s real father?

So this stems from my tags in this post:

So here’s a what if scenario:

Of course, we have the option of this happening while Q had been turned into a mortal by the Q Continuum or not.

In this case, we’ll make Desmond the son of a non-mortal Q simply because mortal Q would have a hard time to mate with a human that was not a member of the Voyagers.

Of course, Desmond’s conception is done for the very same premise that Q had before: to produce a being with the power of a Q and the morals of a human as a way to end the civil war.

In other words, Desmond’s conception would be before Q mates with the female Q to produce… uuuhh… Q Jr.

Since Q (and his race) seemed to be capable of manipulating time itself, Q formed some sort of partnership with Minerva to ensure the creation of Desmond. As far as Tinia and Juno know, Minerva got the idea of saving the world from the second Solar Flare from the Calculations but the truth is that Q appeared to her and informed her of what’s going to happen (calling their Calculations ‘children’s toy’).

From their partnership, they pushed for the ‘Calculation’ that will create the genome of Desmond’s mother who Q will mate with. Minerva will leave clues to push his ancestors along to ensure the birth of his mother and, in this case, Minerva is both matchmaker and weird godmother, I guess?

So, in this setup, Desmond’s mother is also a descendant of the Auditore-Kenway line together with her Ibn-La'Ahad bloodline although, in this case, William Miles is a descendant of Ratonhnhaké:ton’s oldest child while Desmond’s mother would be a descendant of Io:nhiòte instead and that’s where their lineage diverged.

Desmond’s mother knows that William Miles isn’t Desmond’s real father but she kept it a secret as her marriage with William Miles had been purely for the benefit of the Assassin Brotherhood, to merge their two lineages and create a child that will have access to the memories of the great Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and Ezio Auditore with the use of the Animus blueprints that Bill got years back.

The previous mentor had tried to dissuade them from doing such a thing but Bill didn’t listen and she didn’t bother to tell the mentor that she was simply using Bill to hide the fact that she was already pregnant.

The supposed device that would save humanity from the Solar Flare was actually simply a device that will take off the suppression placed on Desmond.

Q would take Desmond away after December 21 (and everyone would think he’s dead) but, instead of placing him smack in the middle of civil war, he’ll be transported to the USS Enterprise on the year 2372. Everyone believed that Q didn’t want to deal with explaining anything and thought Picard and his crew can help Desmond get up to date.

Unfortunately, Q only thought about how 2372 is the year that the civil war between the Q Continuum started and not how, in 2372…

(ask might get cut off for length) i can only hope that what im about to say is not racist bc i wouldnt know but i dont understand the big deal with 'THIS CHARACTER IS UNRECOGNIZABLE' because who cares. your art is hurting no one. them not being able to recognize your character designs (that you make for fun) sounds like a them-problem. also homestuck is literally color coded. even if a character doesnt have an iconic hair shape or their features are different, people should still be able to tell that roxy is pink and jade is green and karkat has the nubby horns and so on. the characters are DESIGNED to be recognizable even if u remove all the features except for their little symbols, there are so many indicators for that. i don't like some of your designs but i cant wrap my head around people treating your art like it personally disrespects their firstborn child or something. even if they werent recognizable (they are, ppl just rnt used to having to search for other cues in character design like that) it's? a fictional character? the world isn't gonna fucking end if someone draws them black.

The thing is I don't care if someone dislikes my designs or if they don't recognize them right away that really isn't the problem! It's people who literally CAN recognize them but choose to decide that it's NOT the characters bc it's not canon enough or it doesn't "look like the characters" even though many people have looked at them, recognized them, and enjoyed them.

Simply disliking something is different from disliking bc of racism/anti-blackness.

A lot of the things people say is "not the character" don't realize that there are many fanarts that give the characters hairstyles that aren't that similar to the original shapes and even clothes. It's just not picked on bc of how the characters are more white-passing/racially ambiguous features or straight or even wavy/loosely curled hair within most of those arts.

People literally who openly scream about how bad my designs are say they're ugly and point out things that I've seen many times before only with more black (-coded) designs, it's kinda becomes obvious that everyone perceived white(-coded) designs as default and seeing anything else not close to that definitely bothers people.

Basically, it's all about them being aracial until you make them black. And that applies to most.

And yes you're right, genuinely, ppl can figure out and HAVE an understanding of whos who with the context clues I give AND NOT TO MENTION MY TAGS. But once again, most of everyones default is white.

moss. grabs ur shoulders. no because youre actually a genius. i was already sold but i never even considered how perfect a knight au is for suguru holy shit????? UR SO RIGHT. ALWAYS. he is ABSOLUTELY misguided and i think there are so many possibilities for his character in an au like this…

its so similar to his canon circumstances but also Not. and there’s that whole other factor of knighthood and honour thats so different from sorcerers because sorcerers can be (and SHOULD be) a little insane in the head but knights have to be Perfect. but then they also have to be Human and the tragedy is that u cant be both at once. (more on that later 🔥🔥 im normal abt this concept)

this is just my own take on sugu but!! i see him as like… Obsessively Moral. in the sense that he follows his own morals without thinking about anything else. almost destructively. and god moss the way that could translate into a knight au…..

just. suguru being born with so much empathy and strenght (and also that one simmering Thing that makes him a bit off) and immediately being recognized by the people around him. being branded a knight and given a sword to Protect people with. a purpose that he devotes himself wholly to, pledging himself to the protection of the people around him, and finding genuine satisfaction out of helping them (while also getting his kicks out of killing monsters bc it satisfies that one little simmering Urge he has). and the people love him and he loves them!!!

but then we get into the concept of knighthood (which im extremely normal about) and how fucked up and paradoxical it is. bc knights are supposed to Protect but also Kill. and they have to do both. suguru is given a sword to Protect people with but swords only do one thing and that is Kill. so how could he not get a little addicted to the way it feels?

its just sooo… messed up. honestly. knights are branded as heroes and saviors and theyre loved by all but deep down theyre more like dogs who have to lunge in whichever direction their superior throws a bone at. ”he doesnt get to choose who he has to raise his sword for and who he has to bend the knee for” <- LITERALLY THIS. he has to be obedient because knights are defined by Loyalty above all else and there are…. SO many ways that could fuck suguru up mentally.

him being seen as a Perfect Knight… having love for the people hes sworn himself to protect but also an undeniable love for violence…. and having no choice but to do what his king tells him to. its just bound to go wrong!! and when it does he’ll have no choice but to bear the blame alone bc thats what a good knight is supposed to do.

like im just imagining knight!sugu having a similar crisis to canon sugu in which he fails to protect someone, or has to sacrifice a certain amount of people to save more, or maybe just has to Kill something in a very gruesome way. and then slowly people turn their backs on him. maybe not entirely shut him out or anything, but now there’s this tension when he walks in and he sees a hint of fear in the eyes of the people he used to speak to so warmly.

and its just this nausea that he cant get rid of because hes spent his LIFE protecting these people. its all he knows. its what he was born for. and now theyre afraid of him? when he does nothing but devote himself to them? when all he ever did was save them over and over again? i can just imagine that contempt building up inside his stomach. slowly rotting.

and then suddenly all he can think is how ungrateful they are, how weaklings who cant protect themselves should just sit still and let him do it for them……. Yeah. i just think knight!sugu could be corrupted so easily because of how kind and moral he is (the traits that made him a Perfect Knight in the first place . throws up blood)

anyway all this just to say knight!sugu is genuinely the hottest sugu ive ever seen in my life not even kidding thank u for feeding me 🙏🙏🙏 i SCREAMED when i saw it in ur masterlist. if i saw him beat the shit out of a monster w his bare hands i would fold instantly and follow him wherever even if he went crazy and got banished <33 rip to the rest of the village but im different
