Me, thinkin about season 2 of Infinity Train:

My Brain: hey man. u remember that time u made another ‘goro has a palace’ au where u made him the conductor of a train on a collision course, did all those drawings for it, and then just....never posted it??? because I do. good times.

Me, lunging off the sofa: oh my GOD

YEAH, UH. U HAVE MY FRIEND TO THANK FOR REMINDING ME ABOUT THIS (you know who you are. basard. getting me into a new show. how dare you)

basically the gist of the au is like...goro’s still working for shido, he’s just a little more sensible than his canon self, in that he realizes there’s no way in hell he’s going to be able to defeat shido’s shadow on his own. So instead, he keeps working for him, but collects evidence against him as he goes, like. keeping recordings of calls. keeping “request” logs. general other stuff that makes shido seem shady & irredeemable, his own future be damned (because he’s clearly involved in this stuff too. he’s not getting away once he turns all this in to Sae eventually). ...hence, his palace manifests as a train, plowing straight through tokyo to eventually crash into the diet building & presumably kill whoever’s in there, himself (the conductor) included. I’ll level with u here tho, I didn’t think about how the whole “having a persona AND having a palace at the same time” thing works for this au. maybe it’s just that he loses touch with his Robin Hood side, & robin is the one that manifests as his shadow or smth. idk. didn’t really think that far ahead. but yeah! it’s basically just that. 

...don’t particularly know why the pt try to stop him,, seeing as not only shido’s life but his own will be ruined once he turns in the evidence he’s collected, so changing his heart really would have the same effect just leaving him be would,,,, so,,,,,,,,,,
