Mystra showed him the secrets beneath the veils. The gossamer veils first, draped across the Weave. The delicate veils next, draped across her body. 'Chosen One' she whispered, as she slipped them off completely.
poor gale :'(
- the dialogue is from ea gale's explanation about his folly
- i kinda like that she ended up looking like a mother-of-pearl inlay lacquerware!
- oh this was a subconscious choice, but Gale is sitting in seiza which is a posture for showing respect especially to elders. it's also known to be a painful position to sit in for extended periods of time, which is why it was sometimes used as a method of (morally dubious) punishment. however, experienced people can maintain this posture for much longer. food for thought :-)
- (edit: deleted this point bcs it didn't really make sense + detracted from the art a little;;)

I try not to use tumblr for personal stuff too often, just wanting to share fun stuff and see fun stuff but, after getting fired last month, finding out a roommate is looking to move out in the near future, and needing to transition but in a time where it seems like that is getting more and more dangerous to do, I'm just really feeling overwhelmed right now and can't get my brain to focus on the things I KNOW I CAN DO right now.

homestuck was so perfect for autistic teenagers bc it took characters being sorted into categories and having Attributes to its absolute extreme. forget four hogwarts houses, every character has their associated colour their zodiac sign their associated animal their dream planet their god tier class and aspect their typing quirk their pesterchum handle their weapon their planet of x and y, as well as each of them having a handful of other very quantifiable Personality Traits and Interests (e.g. this one is a clown this one is angry this one likes fashion this one is just rufio from hook for some reason) and THEN they all also have their respective ancestors and dancestors(?)(plucked that word from my memory) who have all of those things as WELL
and god not to mention the fucking quadrant system
as a 13-15 year old autistic kid i didnt even need homestuck to have a plot i just happily made a big big spreadsheet of character attributes in my brain

I don't wanna further hijack that poor poll, but the thing about Harrow's schizophrenia is that it's canon. The author has confirmed it, and shared that it's based on her own experience.
It's a pretty obscure bit of canon, so of course there's no shame in not already knowing, but that's why I'm so obnoxiously persistent about letting people know.
Whatever else is up with Harrow, autism or cptsd or any number of likely headcanons, she is also schizophrenic. I feel like that's too important to be handwaved away as a difference of opinion.

"Now, we're not looking for any trouble, y'hear? We're 'round these parts to do our business, just like how you're here to do yours. So how about we all act like civilized folk and you set that gun of yours down before something... bad happens."

Ted Lasso, the character, is one of the only representations of 'sometimes getting better with your mental health issues means that you are less visibly happy, and that is okay, because you are not required to be happy in order to be loved' out there and I am really discouraged that so much of the audience is angry at that.

you know which moment i feel like we don't talk about enough?
THIS ONE RIGHT HERE.
The goofy choked laugh Stede does, the way Ed giggles back, the affectionate shoulder pat, the way they both smile so brightly, the way it feels SO comfortable and so casual and so warm even though they've only know each other for a short amount of time...
And the way it makes me that much more excited for all their little private, sweet, and silly moments awaiting us.

I will never forgive hbo for not giving us a birth scene with alicent. The show gives us many birth scenes which help humanize a lot of characters but they don't do this at all with alicent.
We could have gotten a scene of aegon's birth. His birth literally changes so much and affects so many people. He is the son the king always wanted and the son he killed his previous wife for, he is the prince so many people were waiting for, he is the threat to rhaenyra's claim, his birth marks an end of alicent and rhaenyra's friendship, he marks the end of his mother's innocence, and his birth is the root for the civil war.
We should have gotten a scene of aegon being born and the reactions to it.

Has anyone realised that Keith had an actual sixth sense and that it's NOT explained in the show at all?
In s1 ep1, he says that he was drawn out to the desert because of some strange energy that he could feel. None of the other characters are shown to have this ability except for non human characters. Then, when he's going to find Red, he literally feels for her energy while the others had to look for markings or (in Pidge's case) use a device to track down their lions. And he just- felt for her energy and followed it???
Then there's that fight when he's got to choose between getting the teleduv part or going after Lotor's generals and he feels for the energy of the blast and moves Voltron so that the teleduv part gets hit instead???
Then in season 7, in the episode 'The Ruins', when they're fighting a guy who used to be a Druid, the Druid guy is teleporting all over the place and Keith just- feels for where he's going then throws his blade into the guys chest and kills him????
This is such a cool ability, and I think Keith's Galra traits should have been explored in the show, cause the writers were missing out on some REALLY cool things with Keith.
Like yeah, Allura being able to do Alchemy things is cool, but what about Keith and his odd abilities? I really, really want those to have been explored more.
Oh well. More self-indulgent fic writing for me, I guess.
