Okay okay so I've only seen the movie once when I was like 11, and haven't gotten around to rewatching it, but I remember Betelgeuse's nature/motive being more of a mystery at first? I like good old fashion demons with Rules and Deals and True Names. In my AU, Betelgeuse has made a lot of trouble by making deals with ghosts and taking their souls (basically all those background dancers are ghosts who are contractually bound to him lmao), then using them to get living people to summon him, before he either gets banished again, makes a deal, or kills them.

It becomes such a problem that Juno decides to play his game and make a Wager. She gets to pick a recently departed spirit, and Betelgeuse has to train them to haunt their place of death. He can't help outside of teaching them how to scare; the spirit has to do the actual haunting all by themself. If he wins, he will be free to enter the living world whenever he wants, without needing to be summoned. If he loses, his contracts will be destroyed, and he will be bound to the spirit's place of death alongside them.

He accepts, thinking this is going to be the easiest thing in the world. He's already trained so many ghosts how to scare, its his whole thing!

And then Juno picks the Maitlands.

He was excited for all of two seconds, thinking Juno lost her mind giving him TWO ghosts to work with, but that excitement is quickly and brutally extinguished because my version of the Maitlands are exactly like they are in the musical.

He manages to last almost two weeks before they drive him fucking crazy, and he gives up. He meets up with Juno on the roof and tries to complain that picking these two wasn't fair, yada yada, but she's having none of it. As agreed, all his contracts are destroyed, freeing the ghosts who are bound to him (notice how after the Invisible Reprise he doesn't have background dancers anymore until the wedding??), and he can't leave the house. He is BaNiShEd! DiSaVoWeD! And its going to be really fucking hard to get back to where he was before when the only ghosts he has are the goddamn Maitlands.

Then the Deetz finally move in, and he meets Lydia. A 16 yr old goth girl writing a suicide note- who can SEE him. Their first meeting goes almost exactly the same as canon, except Lydia jumps afterwards, still very much suicidal and believing that the Maitlands are unable to make her dad see them.

Barbara's ghosty powers kick in right on time, and she levitates Lydia back to safety. Cue the gushy ass scene that keeps me awake at night, where the Maitlands tell Lydia she doesn't have to do things alone, she can rely on other people, they aren't going to give up on helping her after only one failed attempt :') New Parental Figures Acquired.

Then they fail again and Lydia can't deal. She summons Betelgeuse!

Now to the part that you actually asked about, which was my take on Lydia and Betelgeuse's dynamic sjslkdlsjs. When he first met her on the roof, he was just gonna kill her or steal her soul after being summoned, but in the five minutes they spoke he went from looking down on her, to seeing her as a challenge, then to downright respect by the time she pushed him off the roof lmao. Even at her most vulnerable emotional state she doesn't let herself get pushed around, and even takes the time to actively fuck with him. Mad respect.

Lydia has dealt with enough predators to recognize the glint in his eye right off the bat. She enjoys taking some of her anger out on him, since he clearly needs something from her and won't be properly retaliating. When the dinner party thing happens, she figures she was going to kill herself anyways, what more could a demon possibly do?

At this point Betelgeuse is just delighted. As an immortal, boredom and being trapped are two of his worst nightmares, and this girl just handed him some freedom and goddammit she's interesting. Most people would cower when a demon shows their true form in the middle of the living room, but she just ran up to him and told her dad "this is what you get!" Like bitch! He's sold! He wants to hang out with this fucked up breather.

Okay summary time because I could Go On. Betelgeuse wants to be needed, he wants people who can't leave him, and he wants to be free to do whatever he likes. Lydia needs him, but she also seems to genuinely like him, which isn't really a thing he's used to. Suddenly he feels the need to constantly impress her, he loves making her laugh, he loves listening to her talk about weirdo shit, and he loves how she isn’t as uptight as other breathers are about him doing things like- summoning snakes out of a pizza box and having them maul the face of the delivery guy.

Lydia just wants to be seen and accepted for who she is, and someone she can rely on when things are hard. Betelgeuse is literally the only person in the five years since her mom died (yeah in my AU its been 5 yrs not 6 months) who she has been able to rely on to keep her physically safe. Who has no issue with her talking about weird/gross things, and who actively encourages her to let out her emotions instead of keeping them pent up.

But this sudden release of all the anger, pain and frustration she’s kept inside her is what leads to this new, crueler attitude she picked up. She laughs at Betelgeuse chasing a child with a fake disembodied head, laughs at the pizza guy writhing with snakes biting his face, and mockingly joins the dance of the three possessed people because she is just... dissociating. And why should she care about other ppl’s pain anyway, when they ignored hers all this time? She rides the power high of having a demon enamored with her, backing up her anger with literal fire. It’s extremely self-destructive and unhealthy! :)

All jokes aside, thanks SO much for answering all of my messy asks re: new GMMTV series. I will try to reply as orderly as I can.

re: Good Old Days. Gosh, my dumb ass completely missed that the controversial age gap was in this drama. (Guess that’s drama before the drama even started… 🙄) And I think in this plot out of all of them it just wasn’t necessary. 🤷‍♀️ So I absolutely get what you mean. Besides, I think that precisely BL dramas (at least the Thai ones) have proven that you don’t need to cast a older actor to play an older character and vice versa. (Obviously you don’t want Glee scenarios of adults playing children -> every full moon I’m haunted by memories of stanning a show in which 30-somethings portrayed 15-yos. 😩) That way, you can have the looks of a considerable age difference without the creepy implications. 😐 (I’ll get to EarthMix later, but I think that’s a really good example; or Mork & Sun in Dark Blue Kiss (depending on the age of actors, my age difference limit would been between 4-6 yrs). Talking about older people, what I meant was that I liked the concept of this show a lot. (Im general, my rookie self thinks it can perceive a trend where GMMTV diversifies its genres a bit. 🙈 And I am a fan so far. 🙂) But I hoped there would be a more inter-generational approach to the characters (older characters who experienced smth in a further past than 25 years ago) and therefore the objects sold in the stor-y (🏬 very bad pun, sorry 🤭).

But I like the fact that two of the main roles are played by actors (Dew & Nani) who’ll have their acting debut tomorrow in F4 Thailand (another show I’m low-key curious about…but tbh as long as it features Win I’m probably going to watch it regardless 🤫…CENSOR CENSOR…I need to shut myself in order to not give myself away! 🤐). I just think it’s really cool they get such a major opportunity (and from the promo stuff for F4 Thailand, they both seem adorariable 💕 -> sorry, this one was wai to far-fetched! 😬)

re: Earth-Mix. (I feel confident I can check this one off in one paragraph. 💪 ) As far as Midnight Chicken is concerned; yes I agree, that one is bound to be a success. But they both seem very enthusiastic about Cupid’s Last Wish (apart from missing their cats that is 😹), so that keeps me hopeful. I just don’t how I will handle the inevitable mess that will be the plot. 🥲 (Yes, I may have become a loyal subscriber to Earth-Mix Space bc it features them, cats and food. “You do realize this isn’t my first drink, right?”

“Shut up; we gotta do this.” Frank ignores David and takes the bottle from him, twisting off its cap and haphazardly pouring them drinks.

“Dude, you’re pouring this shit all over your bed,” David snickers at Frank’s poor display, and Frank starts laughing too.

“Oh shit- don’t make me laugh, I’ll only get worse,” He finishes pouring, only getting ¼ of it on his mattress. “Ok, ok,” Frank picks up his glass, “To Solid Snake! The second greatest member of the FOXHOUND unit!”

“Right, second to the Boss,” David responds sarcastically, and Frank just grins as they tap their glasses together.

Just as the two move to sip their drinks, the door to Frank’s room slams open, and there stands their superior Master Miller.

“And what in the hell do you two think you’re doing?” Miller yells, hands on his hips. The two soldiers tense up, putting their glasses down quickly.

Frank stands from his bed, sitting up straight. “I apologize, sir, we were celebrating Snake’s 21st birthday…inappropriately.”

“Inappropriately? That’s for sure. You didn’t even bother to invite me.” Miller grins, something rather rare of him.

“W..what?” Frank stands there, holding his posture but looking confused.

“You didn’t tell me it was your birthday, Snake. I may have gone a little easier on you today.” Miller walks in, closing the door behind him. “Happy 21st. That’s a big year.”

“That’s what Fox was saying, too. I don’t feel any different.” David shrugs, taking a sip of his whiskey, now knowing that Miller was cool.

“Wait, you’re joining us, Master?” Frank was still gauging what happened, scratching the side of his face.

“Do you have a problem with that, Fox?” Miller takes a stern tone, turning to Frank.

“O-Of course not, sir!” Frank quickly falls into line, and Miller just laughs.

“Calm down; It’s after hours, you can be a little more casual with me.” Miller punches Frank gently on the shoulder and watches the latter relax.

“Oh, thank god,” Frank exhales, making the other two laugh. Frank quickly rushes to his trunk again, pulling out another glass and pouring Miller a drink.

“Thank you, Fox,” Miller accepts it graciously, taking a swig with his prosthetic arm. “So, how have you two been? We don’t get to talk like this very often.”

“Oh, well, there’s not much going on outside Foxhound for me,” David explains.

“Can’t say I’m the same, I just got another letter from my sister a few days ago. Hearing from her makes my week.” Fox smiles, relaxing on his bed.

“That’s good to hear, Fox. Snake, you really don’t have anything to talk about? No girl back home to write to?” Miller teases a bit.

“No, sir. Just me and my lonely self.” David jokes at his expense, happy to see it makes Miller laugh.

“When I was your age, I had a few ladies talking to me. Then again, I wasn’t in the military, it was the 60s, and I was in America getting my degree. A little easier back then to hook up,” Miller had a smirk on while he reminisced, and Frank cringed.

“Why does hearing you say that weird me out?” Frank asks, making Miller frown.

“It’s like hearing your dad talk about sleeping around,” David explains, which only makes Frank laugh.

“When you say that, it makes me feel old. Damn…21. That’s an exciting milestone, Snake. Here’s to a good future!” Miller raises his glass, and David and Frank respond by doing the same.

“Cheers!” All three of them say before going to sip their drinks, Miller kicking his back quick.

“Whoa, slow down Master, I don’t know if I want to see you tipsy,” Frank warns, and Miller shakes his head.

“You think that much will make me drunk? You underestimate your superior,” Miller grins in response, pouring himself more to drink.

“You know,” David speaks up, catching the attention of the other two, “You don’t talk about yourself much, Master.”

“Yeah, that’s because you don’t need to know,” Miller responds, sipping his whiskey.

“Well…all I’m saying is hearing an old veteran’s story would be a pretty good birthday present….” Snake suggests, making Miller shake his head.

“You two. You want a present? Take this,” Miller reaches in his back pocket, pulling out a packet of cigarettes, catching the eyes of the boys.

“Ohh, that’s the good stuff! …Can I have one too?” Frank makes puppy dog eyes at Miller, making Snake snort.

Miller rolls his eyes, “Fine, both of you can have one.” Miller taps out three cigarettes for them, distributing them accordingly. He takes out his lighter and lights it, all three of them leaning in and sharing the flame.

David and Frank look like they’re in heaven, sucking in the sweet smoke of Miller’s expensive cigarettes. Miller seems pretty satisfied with himself for it.

“So, does that suffice for a gift?” Kaz asks, leaning back and smoking.

“Ah, man, I really thought you were going to tell us about yourself!” Frank whines, holding his cigarette between his teeth.

“Hey, I’m being cool this evening, but not that cool,” Miller explains, and both the boys sigh in disappointment. “Anyways, my story isn’t all that interesting. I’m just an immigrant who grew up through war. Your stories aren’t too different.”

“Fair enough,” Frank responds, looking a little nostalgic, and not in a good way. David notices the tone shift and tries to fix it.

“Anyways, I appreciate the thought from both of you. This is probably the best birthday I’ve had.” David says, pulling the cigarette from his lips.

“I’m glad to be celebrating with you, Snake. You’re a talented soldier, and I know you’re destined to do great things.” Miller responds, “Not to sound dramatic.”

“I agree, Master. Snake, you’re my best friend, as well as my biggest rival here in Foxhound. Thanks for challenging me to be a better soldier.” Frank gets sappy too, and David smiles at both of them.

“Thanks, guys. Now, let’s drink,” Snake picks up his glass, and the other two follow in suite.

“Drinking contest?” Miller suggests.

“Oh, you’re on, Master,” Frank responds, holding his glass confidently.

“The first one to tap out has to clean the locker room,” Snake suggests, the other two laugh.

The rest of the night is spent drinking, chatting, and overall Snake is thankful for the time he got to spend with two of the more prominent people in his life.

Oh, and Frank tapped out after five drinks.

Such profound vigor had baffled him from the start. His morning routine went as normal with an unusual peppiness he hadn’t felt in an age. As worrying as it should be, drastic change for the positives were warmly welcomed instead, causes chalked up to that of recent good company and a pleasant night’s rest.

Warmth from a prolonged shower only helped further his good mood, finding himself taking boisterous strides in place of once sluggish movements. It’s when he’s near ready for the day that he begins to question it; the sudden upswing in both body and mind mulled over with a fresh cup of coffee. Was it something he ate? Perhaps a change in his training routine? A gloved finger taps against ceramic, brows furrowed, concentrating on recalling the events of yesterday.

Nothing truly substantial happened as far as memory served - mayhaps Lady Luck had finally swayed on his side. No matter. There was much to do for the day; shopping, visits to those close, the unfortunate work awaiting in the afternoon hours... Whatever contents were leftover had been dumped into the sink drain and left to be filled with water. A quick stretch has the decadent Monarch making way for the front door before giving pause when his own gloved hand extends for the handle, reminding him of unequipped wears. Silly him.

It wouldn’t be the first time he’d almost walking out the front door lacking his proper attire. An easy fix; he’d simply need to open his inventory, seek out his wonderful armor--

“ WHUAAUH?! ”

Rodents scatter in an instant as their owner recoils from the doorway, stumbling backwards with hands catching the edges of a kitchen counter top to keep himself steady.

Armor... Ar-mors?! ARMORS...

Six of them, in fact. Lined up side by side, filling once empty spots and leaving him bewildered and terrified by the suddenness of it all. Curiosity calms the waves of nausea - they weren’t there before, perhaps he’d been imagining...?

Battery Brigandine had been his first test. The strong sight of green-blue tint would surely break him from this spell were it all true. Confirmations come in the form of shining wears starkly different than normal painted golds. It’s with a wary chuckle that he unequips to try another - Vestments of Vigor - burgundy hues soon adorned with the ever slight increase of excitement bubbling within.

Akin to a child who’d been given a world’s worth of toys, he falls into a frenzy. Examining every last item within his inventory, yanking them out into his hold as though to confirm that this was no mere illusion. Dueling Glove, Turn Coat, Bubble Frog, Healing Hammer, SCORCHING SABER... All the pieces fall into place as the warmth radiating from the hefty burning claymore overwhelms. His vigor, strength, health and weaponry, gear and more! Years upon years of struggles with so few now to be gifted all. His heart flutters - sings with such glee that he’d hardly the chance to contain himself. Bursts of laughter echo in empty halls as his only audience begins to crowd around him. Bundles of curious rodents, many of which had left the comforts of nests made inside the walls, had gathered to investigate, watching with beady little eyes as their owner loses himself to the eruption of emotion.

Such strength had long since been forgotten after his arrival; magic tied to his physical health having had it’s burdening weight lifted free, after so long. So very long... Powers buried deep in the confines of his memory now resurfacing with each passing second.

The last remains of energy only allow for very few spins before he staggers into a nearby chair with rapid breaths. He’s beside himself despite every ounce of joy flooding in his chest. Smile wavering for all but a moment before it falls completely. Everything was back - he’d long since confirmed that much - but... For what reason? For as long as he’d remained here and elsewhere, in his five years of torment in this prison, what use had they spare fleeting occasions? Burdened by his newfound blockade, he leans further back against the chair, entirely helpless. No thoughts come to mind, left to stew in an odd mixture of both euphoria and bitterness while fingers brush against an affection seeking rodent curled on his lap...

...One of many loyal servants. A wonderful sort, despite their oftentimes grating flaws. Soft furs do well to soothe, clearing his mind of worries. Heirlooms and Armor might not be of use now, however, the future itself was always unpredictable. Though he had to admit, he’d entertained the idea of laying waste to several portions of this cruel city seconds after leaving the front door. After all, they’d made the biggest mistake of a lifetime; both gifting him his full arsenal and for taking granted just how long he was capable of holding a grudge.

Fingers abandon his pet in favor of drumming rhythmically against the table. With no Enchantress and no Monarchs in this modern era, how would he come to lay claim over a portion of this city? How could he make certain this city paid for its crimes against him? He’d need a plan - one that would take far longer than those made once before. No errors nor pests to get in the way of him and his goal; to conquer and rule as he’d rightfully deserved. The name King Knight would carry fear once more, no matter how long, how many failures or deaths harbored him from the end. He’d a goal, a newfound means to wake up in the morning beyond that of simply surviving.

All the cards would fold in his favor. Years of playing submissive paying off in stacks of gold. Who would expect p o o r l i t t l e h i m to overtake what was now rightfully his?

Satisfied, he rises from his seat and once more opens his inventory to equip familiar wears. A trip to the store for quill pens and papers swiftly added to a mental to-do list... Just below another addition, one that was a little more self-indulgent than the rest.

After all, he did have some showing off to do!

Instant Family?

Title is not that great, hell even the story might not be that great. But I'm giving it a go. Once again, I'm not a great writer but this has been rolling around my head.

Henry had laughed so much tonight, his cheeks still hurt. A very competitive game of DDR (dance dance revolution) with Elsa and her kids, turned into the silliest dance party he's ever been too. Furniture had been pushed to the side so Elsa could properly teach the kids how to dance the running man. Henry dared not to get up and try that at all, he'd need more than those two beers at dinner to even attempt it.

Henry loved the energy and closeness of her family and they welcomed him like he had been a friend they've know for years. Henry admired they way she handled the kids herself. She didn't sweat the small stuff and she understood they are great days and others where its okay to have cereal for dinner. The excitement surrounding them was so infectious that he found himself often walking over to their condo after the gym. He felt completely accepted and it reminded him of his home back in Jersey.

Though at times his heart felt heavy, he longed for a family just like this. Rambunctious kids running outside with vivid imaginations. He imagined someday rolling out of bed on a lazy Saturday morning to the smell of chocolate chips waffles and bacon. Hearing the hushed squabbling over how many pieces of bacon they could sneak before setting the table.

Five year old Isabella had let Henry in on the bacon heist that occured every Saturday morning. It was cutest thing to see Isa explaining to him that he should probably use his superman powers.

"Henry you gotta be super duper fastest!"

Henry smiled at the seriousness in her tone. Isa had even offered to distract her mom if he needed help, since he didn't have the suit on. That was his first of many Saturday morning waffles.

Henry was caught off guard with the screaming excitement of Elsa and kids when Push It by Salt n Peppa came on. He couldn't help but smile at how free and in the moment she was. He laughed loudly and shook his head, when Elsa started shimming her shoulders and shaking her head. Strands of her hair were coming out of her loose ponytail, her eyes were closed and she smiled bright. it tugged his heart when he saw her in these joyful moments. The kids fed off of her energy, 5 yr Isa was mimicking her mothers rhythmic movements. He was surprised and impressed that even 12 year old Marco was dancing.

Elsa danced hopped her way over to Henry and made a big show of of using her air lasso to pull him to her. Henry let out the biggest laugh at her silliness. He shook his head but rose to his feet and rolled his shoulders along with the music. He hadnt felt this carefree in long time. He was loving it.

**"Alright, alright niños, its time to get ready for bed." Elsa called out as she shut off the speakers.

His favorite chorus of "But mom" started.

Elsa laughed and shook her head.

"Sorry guys tomorrow is another day, go get ready for bed I'll clean up."

The kids grumbled as usual but listened anyway.

Henry sighed, this only meant he had to leave soon. He already missed them. He thought about Elsa a lot, envisioning waking up to her morning kisses before the hustle and bustle of getting the kids up for school. He could see himself teaching the kids rugby, proper soccer and maybe taking them camping. He wouldn't mind a few princess dress up parties or helping Isa sell all her troops girl scout cookies either.

At first when he meet the new single gym member he tried to be completely charming, hoping to ask her out. But a little self doubt crept up on him and he lost his nerve. Later he heard through the gym grapevine that Elsa wasn't ready to date. That stung a bit, he definitely felt a spark when they talked. Then he learned that she was divorced with two kids and that threw him for a loop. He wondered if he was responsible enough to date a parent. Dates would require extra planning so anything spontaneous might be out of the question. He supposed it was for the best. If they had started dating and it became serious how could he leave her and her kids for months at a time. She would need someone more present right? He couldn't do that to them, so he kept his feelings towards her to himself. And hoped she wouldn't catch him staring. Instead he settled for friendship and greedily accepted an open invitation to her house anytime.

Henry started moving furniture back and picking up pillows off the floor while Elsa swept up a bit.

"You don't have to help me clean up Henry."

"I really don't mind."

Elsa beamed and it made his heart beat a touch faster.

He was lingering a bit after saying his final goodbyes and wishing Isa a goodnight. Marco would always pound his fist and Isa would raise her arms so he could carry her into a big hug. Sometimes he'd make silly faces just to hear her cute little giggle.

Elsa felt her stomach in knots, she felt hot, sweaty and completely nervous. Last time she walked Henry out she gave him small peck on his cheek. She hugged him like always but he smelled so delicious and when hugged her a little tighter she just went for it. She was definitely sure he thought it was just a friendly peck. There was no way he'd be interested in someone like her, right? But oh god did he make her swoon everytime he offered to throw the football around with Marco or when he'd set up a little tea party fort with Isa. He was completely sweet and patient with them. He didn't know how much it meant to her that her kids got to see a how caring and understanding a man could be. Marco really looked up to him, always eagerly taking in any advice Henry gave him.

For almost a year they've known Henry and her feelings for him seemed to triple each time he was around. He always offered a sympathetic ear and encouraging words. He was so tender sometimes it felt like her heart was going to split. He was such a goofball and she was sure that not everyone knew that side of him.

The kids had already rushed off to bed and that left both of them standing around awkwardly.

"Walk me out?"

"Of course."

She lead him down the narrow hallway to the front door. Elsa opened the door and as Henry passed in front of her he playfully nudged her shoulder.

"Everything okay Elsa?"

"Oh, um yes. I'm just tired."

"Are you sure, do you need anything," his voice a little more serious.

"Hmmmm, maybe next time you can bring Kal? I'd love some fluffy cuddles."

"Ugh, Kal gets all the attention!"

"Oh stop it, you know we love you too!" Elsa laughed.

Henry laughed along but he felt giddy about her saying "love" even though it was in friendship kinda way.

"Come here," she said as she opened her arms.

And this was his favorite part of the night.

This time he leaned down wrapping his arms around her waist and she quickly wrapped hers around his neck. She whispered in his ear, "thanks for coming over" and he squeezed her tighter hoping for a repeat of last week. He felt her turn her face and gently kiss his cheek again. His body felt like it was vibrating and he swore he could feel her heart beating out if her chest. Henry pulled away slightly to look at her, he smiled a her blushing face. He saw her eyes glance down at something, his lips maybe? She bit the corner of her lips and slowly pulled him back down to her. Henry then felt her soft lips kiss his once then twice and finally he kissed her back. Her lips parted and he hungrily kissed her, he hoped she could somehow feel how he felt about her. Elsa moaned into his mouth and Henry gripped her hips. She pulled back breathlessly, her chest rapidly heaving. Henry felt a jolt of sensations, his body feeling cold and hot with a flush around his ears.

Elsa was in some kind of euphoric state and suddenly she felt freezing wave of embarrassment rush over her. She quickly pulled away, stuttering an apology.

"I, I don't know what came over me. I didn't mean to, mean to...I'm really sorry Henry." " You should probably go," she whispered.

Henry was completely confused as to what was happening now. Did she regret kissing him? She wasn't even looking at him.

"Elsa, can we talk about this for a minute."

"Mommy?"

They both turned to see Isa rubbing her eyes walking towards them.

"Can we talk about it tomorrow? I'll call you" she whispered.

"Mommy, come read to me please."

Elsa quickly scooped up Isa and turned back to Henry pleading him with her eyes.

He wanted to stay, he wanted to tell her he'd wait outside if she wanted, so they talk tonight.

"Please Henry."

The looked she gave him broke his heart, her eyes were starting to well up her nose getting a little pink.

"Okay. Tomorrow?"

She nodded, feeling relieved.

He closed the gap between them and hugged them both.

"Goodnight princess."

"Nite Henry."

He kissed Elsa's cheek and walked out the door.

unaesthetic asks (anon edition)

i usually use a psd for asks to make them look nice and transparent and number them but tbh it’s just keeping me from answering asks quickly, having to shift layers around and stuff. so this is me literally cutting and pasting the text of some asks into a text post instead, sry.

if i did not answer yr thing here i lost/never got the ask, need a separate post to answer it (community lot anon), or worked myself into an anxious lather when i did not have an immediate response at the ready and fled into the woods to hide inside an old damp log and mutate slowly into a creature composed entirely of moss.

1) hey friend i think i can actually help with this one! slig did my poor lover for momma lisa, and has a few of my other skins linked to different body meshes in this tag here. @asimplevampire also did rehash for androgyny. those are the two i know off the top of my head but if anyone else knows any others pls reply to this post!

i don’t personally make showerproof skintones for body meshes because i a) am lazy and b) don’t usually take pics of my sims in the shower or naked in general so the occasional floating head just gives me a lil chortle when it does happen.

2) yis, it is the second to last one in this post by @magpieplayssims with a bunch of face masks piled on.

3) i use a personal edit of gunmod’s 3.1 A camera which alters the, like, central pivot axis so i can swing the camera underground into any basements i might be using. as a result, whenever i load the lot, it starts me off zoomed inside the floor, you just gotta zoom out with the scroll wheel to get above ground and it works normally from there. i haven’t figured out how to mitigate this while still being able to access underground rooms. which is why my edit never got its own post, but i did share it here.

4) nah, not really. i mean i have an outdated one at the back of my catalogue but my face is boring to me cuz i see it every day n stuff & i’m less and less interested in making human features now that custom sliders have let me go absolutely mad with power.

5) ye sorry i put that on my to-do list and promptly forgot about it cuz my brain seems to think that putting something on a list means it’s done forever now!!!! but now it’s actually done and i’m fixing the other links too.

6) yr phone is a craven liar and i will not stand for this libel. earlier today i was genuinely bewildered by a discussion about channing tatum cuz i thought his name was tatum channing. i sat there for minutes, convinced that there were two guys in hollywood one named channing tatum and the other named tatum channing and wondering if that ever got confusing for them.

7) u would be surprised, friend! my memory is a lawless wasteland but i do not end up chatting back and forth w/ many ppl b/c i am a seething pit of social anxiety. if we talked, like, more than twice, i probs remember u!

8) omg i was about to be like “nah i never made nosemasks for those” but that is a fucking lie of the highest caliber, i totally did make one (1) set and then forgot entirely about it. i will post them with the next batch of bodyshop content which should be Shortly (and if i don’t just yell @ me and i’ll just lazily put them on sfs and link them in a reply).

12) i do not right now but i can make one. idk if it would interest you but i am also doing a big ol’ blend of the hq eyes and wifezaya’s favorite ephemera mist eyes and will make a default version of those too when they are done.

13) nah i am still using my v3 texture for straight hairs and for waves or natural hair i just use nouk’s originals. i’m old-fashioned and boring. if u need help w/ making yr own, tho, i would suggest checking out @furbyq’s tutorial here!

14) hey friend! i did have plans to do that, in that vague way where i have plans to do many things but most of the time end up taking a five-hour nap under a cat instead or watchin game grumps. luckily, @digitalangels is a doll and did it for me so consider this my official endorsement. i am pooklet and i approve this action.

15) hey anon. when did i call it that?? i think usually i just call it marriage or equal marriage if i need to specify (or gay marriage if i’m feelin Spicy cuz nonbinary-for-nonbinary is pretty gay). if i did say same-sex it was probs w/ implied air-quotes since that was the term du jour when we got married, which was 3+ years before the supreme court mandate, when it was only legal in some places and everyone was still ‘‘‘‘debating’’’’ the ‘‘‘‘issue’’’’ of queers gettin all married.

Character Development Questions: Hard Mode-- BOG!!!! Al

ALL? is that what this is supposed to say. bc im gonna do All

Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with? He’s an only child! Maybe a few cousins his age, he probably was close with them before he went away!

What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like? Good, his moms really supported him to the point where he couldn’t do anything wrong in their eyes. Mom #1 was raised in a temple of Ioun, and is a half orc half elf. She works in the temple she and Bog’s other mom founded and tried to teach him to become a cleric like her, but once he voiced his desire to pursure the arcane she was happy to support that

What is/was your character’s relationship with their father mother #2 like? Mom #2 was less ready to support the arcane, having converted to worshiping Ioun after meeting mom #1 and never really having a knack for magic. Both Bog’s moms see him as the perfect blessing he was intended to be and dont see any faults in him, and though they are hurt by his leaving they trust in their god and in him that it will be ok (not that he’s had contact with them to know that...)

Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know? YEs! He first stumbled upon magic when he started to just be able to Do Things, but there was a wizard to came to his town when he was a child and showed the kids magic tricks, and Bog came up to him one day and basically said “i can do that too! my mom doesnt know this bc im scared to tell her but here let me show you” and this like, seven year old half orc kid does some medium level spell and the Wizard was just like. damn we gotta teach u.

On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets? Uhh, not much tbh? maybe some jerkey, a rag for sweat/cleaning things off, whatever coin he has on him? But he always has his drum on a sling over his shoulder, his flute on a chain around his neck, and in a trunk on the lower deck he has his spellbooks and Violin!

Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams? haahhhh he gets periodic visions from Ioun being like,,,, hello my Blessing hows the Doing God’s Work going?? oh youre still on a pirate ship in the middle of the ocean? thats chill like ur moms i think you are Perfect and fully believe you will get back to it eventually, go find some new Knowledge and fill up that brain of yours thanks ok bye

Uhh he wears the same thing like all the time just loose shirt and flowy pants and drum. if he doesnt have his drum he might as well be naked. Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way? Not really, he doesn’t like seeing people hurt but he isnt grossed out by it

Uhh nothing rlly, tragic happened but his whole thing is he has a destiny he doesnt feel like he earned and is running from it but also feels Immense guilt for doing that so, lots of self blame in this buddy
