here's what Moon was rocking before Clip started making clothes:

after their PizzaPlex went under, the DCA bois had to figure out a lot of things, one being: clothes. unfortunately, Moon's really big, so he struggled to find things that fit him and were comfortable. the onesie is the first thing he found that fit him and made him feel really cozy. so he still wears it at home (he prefers comfy clothes at home anyways) when he needs a pick-me-up.

of course, he can't work at the salon in a bunny onesie, so here's what Clip made him (under Sundrop's direction):

Moon does prefer comfy clothes, but he has to admit, sometimes he likes the attention these clothes get him. he's iffy about them though, he feels that they show too much of him and he prefers the specific kind of comfort that comes from being an amorphous bundle of coziness.

....while I haven't played the ubisoft avatar game myself, or more accurately, I have obsessively played the x360 one, I doubt it could be better than the Ancient Forest of Monster Hunter World.

I have. Never seen a jungle location be this layered, vertical and complex, while also remaining extremely readable. Like, there'a and easy route around the map and insides of a giant tree in the center of it, to act as a crossing or shortcut. However, the actual map is... so much more detailed than just this.

There are vine swing-jumping sections which open up new pathways for you, there are less noticeable vines to climb, which reveal new arboreal pathways ahead. There is an entire 'jungle-catwalk' section right near the dragon nest at the top of the giant tree. You cannot navigate these additional paths with map, it is much more simple and natural just to remember them and trust your memory on this.

It's just I have spawned in a rainy weather for the first time, and started exploring these vines, and this has been THE Avatar experience. Honestly no other game has ever made a more natural and interesting forest to explore than this one.

I genuinely did not anticipate this level of detail, beauty and meticulous attention to everything from a game about exterminating dinodragons. I picked it up for the Monster Hunter part of it the title, but let me tell you the World part is the actual gem of the game for me, I am in love with this.

on the note of kith season 6 (didn't want to derail the other post but have been thinking about this lately): one of the only things i disliked - or, rather, that felt off about the revival - was how crisp everything felt in terms of the aesthetic. like ik filmmaking technology has evolved since 1994 and they couldn't do the live studio audience even tho they wanted to bc of covid, but idk the original series despite clearly working with cbc and hbo always had this diy energy, vs the new season just very much felt like oh this is a corporate thing that was location scouted and filmed on a lot

but what's interesting about this fault is that you look into anything else the kids in the hall have made themselves in the past decades and it still has that exact diy aesthetic, sometimes unintentionally but that's the best part. like, i'm the most familiar with scott's works for obvious reasons, but you look at something like contemporary mouth congress music videos or any other video project scott's made just bc he wanted to make it and you can see obvious green screens, the fact that it was clearly filmed on an iPhone, using stuff around the house as props, etc. and if you look at bruce's youtube channel you get that sense as well, and it's so delightful to see bc yeah this comedy isn't a corporate entity, it's just something these guys have to make bc they are passionate about it

anyway i guess what i'm saying is if they ever decide to do another kith revival season they should have paul bellini direct it on his iphone 5 and film 99% of it at the toronto library's green screen room

idk maybe this post is too niche bc a lot of the stuff i'm citing (i.e. mouth congress music videos) hasn't actually been released yet and also i have literally been on these diy sets in the past year where someone just set up a pop-up greenscreen in their living room and my "job" is to make sure the pets don't wander into frame. but yeah idk i find it very funny that watching the revival my only complaint was the lack of that genuine diy spirit and then one year later i'm part of that type of production

Mar (my 1st and current run): Tiefling Druid that generally tries to do good, but will go through shady things if she's feeling curious enough. Which she often is. Has a big crush on Karlash.

Unnamed 1: Gnome Bard that is here to play songs and joke around. If an option is funny, she would do it. Is really into Lae'zel and will overwrite her here-for-the-funny mindset if there's an option that would help her lizard wife. (they're married only in her head but don't tell her that)

Unnamed 2: Not sure on race yet, but Oath of Ancients Paladin that has to "fix" everyone. Not sure how long she'll keep her oath, I'll let the game take her storyline naturally. Due to her "fixing" obsession though, she gets stuck on trying get Shadowheart off of Shar's talons. Their romance begins with a wrong mindset but develops into a healthy one. (we don't do dysfunction here sir)

Blir (Dark Urge): Dragonborn Monk. I'm thinking she retreated in a monastery trying to suppress her impulses, and after that she lost her memory. Dunno if this is countered by the actual storyline of the origin, but I'll cross that when I get there. Her main goal is to survive and keep everyone alive, all while fighting both herself and all the other enemies a Tav normally has.

Consider Machines Over Customers

don’t know how useful this is, but for people who hate the customer interaction part of their jobs, like, if you think that is the worst part of your job, consider looking for a job that does not involve you interacting with customers. the hard part is that all the “basic job that you don’t need a college education to get” kind of jobs that I could think of to look for on job sites were like call center work and waitress and hotel staff and front desk work and retail and, you know, customer service positions. so I was searching job sites with those key words and did not know about a lot of other options. namely...machines. yes, that’s right. turns out there are so many machines out there and they all need people to operate them. there’s also warehouse stocking jobs but i haven’t tried one of those so I can’t endorse or diss them. BUT...I am working a machine operating job right now and I actually love machines. they are great. they also have yet to yell at me about an expired coupon. i mean, sometimes they do complain about thread breakage or refuse to read a positioning mark that is RIGHT THERE, but still...I love machines. I also do not have to see customers at all. like, I know the orders go to customers eventually, but I do not need to help them place the orders or receive the calls when their package does not arrive on time. I just need to fill the order and I’m done. whatever happens next is out of my hands. actually...the delivery workers might be another “customers are not my problem” option. they pick up orders from us and I think they just need to whip those at the front doors of customers, but they don’t actually need to talk to them.

just...the main point is that I spent a long time stuck thinking that all the “non-career” jobs I could get required customer interaction. unless you were, like, a cook in the back or stocking jobs, and i can’t cook or lift that much. so my advice is...just try getting creative with the keywords you plug into job sites. I hit on my current job by pure chance, no idea why it showed up when I was typing in stuff like “front desk” and “call center representative.” If you want machine stuff, try typing in “manufacturing” or “assembly” or “operator” or “production.” I am mostly just throwing this out there into the void in case it helps anyone. I spent way too long doing customer service and hating how draining it was and how much I would dread going to work. but now I am shocked that I actually do not mind going to work. it is tiring, but only physically, and otherwise actually enjoyable. so...consider machines over customers.

#job stuff #i don't think most ppl are generally aware of these kinds of jobs #especially since whenever i mention that i'm an industrial embroidery machine operator #people tend to have no idea what that means or what i do #i literally needed no experience or education either. i think these type of jobs have a lot of entry level positions #and they did train me to do it and there's nothing that would require college education #i am not saying this is true for all jobs like this but i did spot some similar jobs on Indeed #usually it looks like they just require high school education #some look like they're more high end than others and give benefits but might require prior experience #if you wanted one of the nicer higher paying jobs that say 'prefer 3 years of manufacturing experience' #i feel like you could easily do a few years of a lower-paying 'no prior experience necessary' jobs like the one i have #and then upgrade once you've got the experience #also this may or may not be a factor in how much i am enjoying my new job but i am very autistic #so a job that focuses on attention to detail and sorting and matching and also colors and lots of repetition... #yeah it's like they made this job just for me as a treat #and i'm not saying your jam is definitely machines. just that i really love them but i never thought they were an option #for like your average person who did not get some kind of welding certification or engineering degree or something #because i did not do any of that. they just let me touch the machines right away #i'm not even good at math this feels like a sin #but i love these machines way more than i've ever enjoyed a customer interaction #so i highly recommend trying to look for more 'obscure' jobs that you didn't hear about during school job fairs #also some other jobs i did know about w/no customer interaction but have not personally tried #are data entry clerk and transcriptionist #also i love animals so i looked for jobs where i work with animals but no dice for me #i don't really want to work at a doggy daycare that's too high energy and lots of cleaning but i did consider it #my friend was a dog groomer for a while but that is also not my jam #oh and a lot of teaching assistant/teaching positions don't actually require an education #they seem to be always hurting for staff #my sister is an aide at an elementary school and she didn't go to school for that #hmm...janitorial jobs. landscaping. delivery

👁👁 a little! i don't play much of Live TF2 these days, only because my computer would rather explode than allow me to run it at a good enough framerate, though there's a few settings ive only experimented with recently on other source games.

i deeply love tf2 as what it is still more or less, it's mostly my laptop that's always been a problem is all :(

Crash Team Racing. and a sourcemod name of Pre Fortress 2. #ive been playing that last one on and off because i have a lot of fun playing a somewhat beta recreation of TF2 #but i have to warn you that if you want to play it. turn off voice chat and text chat. theres only usually one populated server #and most of the people ive had to play with there fucking suck nuts and bolts #if it weren't for that id reccomend it more or less. #i get a lot of enjoyment out of the gameplay changes they make. from the grenades. the armour system. and some changes to weapons #if you play PF2 on players muted and with sprays disabled? id say its a fun experience #all classes are a little more mobile due to all having grenades. heavy less so but yeah #you can definitely tell how much grenades distupts the core of TF2s gameplay. but i like the option of having both games #theres no loadouts in PF2 though. youre restricted to the beta loadouts of each class. #and its not necessarily a ''Pure Beta Recreation'' since they have engineer hauling and upgradable buildings #but i dont mind personally. the grenades are a lot of fun to experiment with #dispensers also deal damage when exploding. and ive used that a lot on 2fort while guarding intel #sometimes an enemy rounds a corner and doesnt see it. and im notified on my HUD and i instantly blow them into gibs #fucked up a medic and heavy's uber push because they werent expecting it #exploded the dispenser in front of the heavy so the heavy lost 80% of his health. shot him with one blast and dead #then chased down the medic before he could even really process what happened to be able to uber #its really fun to experiment with dumb shit and see what you can get away with #just the playerbase sucks really. keep VC and text off and sprays disabled and you might have a fun time #youre also a lot tankier due to the armour system so thats kinda neat in a way #anyway thank you for the ask anon :) #id like to play TF2 more if it werent because my laptop
