Why Blitzø Likes Stolas
Tumblr media
I've made jokes about Blitzø liking Stolas bcuz his type is tall, rich, powerful demons with musical talent, and that's probably kinda true, but I wanna talk about the real reasons Blitzø likes Stolas. Tldr at the end.
I think one of the major reasons Blitzø likes Stolas is how kind, sincere, and affectionate he is. Stolas is always making sure he is okay and is very passionate about litterally everything he does (dramatic little bitch, lol). And while he's ignorant ("my impish little plaything"???), he does mean well. Taking Octavia to Looloo Land to make her feel better, Going full demon mode to save IMP, his attentiveness to Blitzø during his mental breakdown in Seeing Stars, him absolutely adoring Octavia, him helping Ozzie when he gained no real benefit, etc, etc.
Also, expanding more on the affectionate part, Blitzø is shown to not get much affection or love in his life at all. His family situation was a giant mess (his dad literally sold him for 5 bucks and a condom Jesus Christ-), and Stolas is a very loving and affectionate person. Obviously, this is shown with Blitzø, but also with Octavia ('my precious little starfire', always staying patient with Via, even if he can be a bit dismissive, going full demon mode when Blitzø said he lost Via), and even his plants (he raised the flesh-eating plant since he was a kid, he pets the plant, on his insta he called a puprle rose "a handsome little rose"). And yeah, he's going to be affectione with Via, that's his daughter, but in Hell, (or maybe just from Blitzø's perspective, it'a hard to tell honestly) that's shown to be a rarity. So obviously, he's going to admire that about him.
And also, compare that to Blitzø's life. His dad saw him as less than, something happened that made his sister hate him, his mom seemed to be a good parent, but she's dead, his best friend and former crush hated his guts for 15 years, his daughter does care about him but she also mostly just shows anger and annoyance with him, and even Moxxie, who'd I'd argue is his best friend, gets annoyed with him constantly (I would too tbh but this isn't about that). Stolas just being his loving and affectionate self and being so happy to see him and always being so sweet to Blitzø is like a breath of fresh air to him.
Another thing is that Stolas shows clear interest in the things he likes. Take horses as example, bcuz we all know Blitzø is obsessed with them. Most of the time, his friends are pretty passive about it, but Stolas actually indulges him. Some of this is from their instas, but Stolas got him a horse Hoodie, he draws horses with him, and Stolas even got inspired to draw because of Blitzø.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Also, plz note that in another post he commented that it smells like Stolas, and I want everyone to appreciate how happy he looks in this photo while smelling it again)
Blitzø probably admires Stolas's theatrics as well because despite growing up in a Circus where you were supposed to be dramatic and showy, he was still always taught to ignore or hide his true emotions (Cash ignoring that he didn't want to go to the Goetia Palace because "MONEY"). And while Stolas was raised the same way, he still wears his heart and emotions on his sleeve and is always showing them, whether it be positive or negative
And we all know thst Blitzø has major self hatred issues, but Stolas was genuinely interested in Blitzø as a person. Laughing at his jokes, asking how his day went, and with all of this, you can't help but wonder if Blitzø was figuring out that he did too. I think that's why he was so heartbroken about Ozzie's. Because to him, Stolas hiding his face was just proof that Stolas didn't care. That he was just a little plaything. But, Blitzø liked that Stolas liked him for who he was, and that he didn't have to pretend to be someone different.
Yes, ik Blitzø wasn't here for some of them, and he thinks that Stolas is just faking all of this. BUT, Blitzø can notice things subconsciously, and the stuff that Blitzø wasn't there for was to talk about Stolas's character as well. That's why I wanted to talk about this, to talk about what Blitzø sees in Stolas and his character.
Feel free to add anything if you want! I'd love to hear your guy's opinions, takes, and thoughts on the ship. I'm probably gonna a make a post on why Stolas likes Blitzø at some point, lol
Tldr; Blitzø likes Stolas because he's kind, sincere, loving, affectionate, passionate, caring, dramatic, and likes Blitzø for who he is.

Ike/Soren Meta: The Little Things
Tumblr media
In (belated) honor of the IkeSoren Week Encore prompt for canon scenes, I wanted to highlight some of my favorite less obvious interactions. These are moments outside their supports/base convos/death quotes/endings that nonetheless feel personal or significant. Some even require variables like other units dying. This isn’t an exhaustive list, but I sure did have a lot of thoughts on it all, so this post is very long.
First up: moments in early PoR that establish their initial dynamic and characterization.
Ch 4
If Shinon is alive (Normal or Easy mode)
Shinon: “All right, Ike. Let’s see how you handle the role of captain. Well? What are your orders, boy? We’ll do what you say, so long as you hurry up and spit it out!” Ike: “I know, I know! I’m thinking! Give me a moment, will you, Shinon?” Shinon: “Bah. Useless! We’d be better led with Mist than this soft, untested whelp.” Ike: “Let’s see…We’re in the middle of the road, and there’s not much cover. Soren and Rhys are vulnerable, so we have to protect them from enemy attacks…Right?” Soren: “That’s a sound strategy, Ike. I can attack from behind your defenses. Good thinking.” Ike: “Do you mean that? Um…all right! Let’s do that then.”
This is obviously meant as a hint to new players, but it’s also introducing the team dynamics when Ike is put in charge for the first time. Shinon is clearly derisive, which makes it stand out more that Soren jumps to compliment Ike, especially when he himself is usually more negative. Ike in turn seems surprised and happy to receive a compliment from him. Shortly before this, we saw Ike doubting why his father would put him in charge and not feeling up to the task, and later in the game we’ll see him expressing how much he appreciates Soren’s bluntness and objectivity because it means he can trust his word. So, Soren’s encouragement in this moment clearly has weight.
Plus, it’s just cute that this sets up the idea of Ike as a tank to Soren, since that plays out in both the plot and gameplay.
I also think it’s neat how this changes if only Ike and Soren are in this part:
If Rhys and Shinon are dead (Hard mode)
Soren: “Ike, do you have any ideas on how you want to approach this fight?” Ike: “Let’s see…We’re in the middle of the road, and there’s not much cover. You’re vulnerable, so I have to be sure you’re protected from enemy attacks, right?” Soren: “Right. Er…sorry for the trouble…but I appreciate the consideration.” Ike: “Sure. All right, let’s do that then.”
Soren is the only squishy mage Ike is talking about protecting, making his response more sheepish. Throughout the game, we see Soren worry about being a burden to Ike, so the idea of Ike having to protect him specifically puts him in a different headspace. Meanwhile, Ike doesn’t turn into a puppy here because Soren didn’t compliment him.
If Soren is forced to retreat in this chapter, this happens after the battle:
Soren: “…Forgive me. I was nothing more than a hindrance.” Ike: “Don’t worry about it. Your health is more important. How bad is the wound?” Soren: “…” Ike: “That bad? Well then, from now on, I want you to be an intelligence officer.” Soren: “What? Are you serious?” Ike: “Are you so opposed to the idea?” Soren: “Of course not! I thought…I…I assumed I would be…let go…” Ike: “Don’t be stupid. An intelligence officer assists with strategy and planning, right? There’s no combat of any kind. There shouldn’t be any problems. I’m sure the commander will approve of the idea.” Soren: “…Th-thank you. I’ll try to bring honor to the position.”
Speaking of Soren being afraid of being a burden, this is the first chance for the player to see a core element of his character, which is how concerned he is with being useful. This is far before he has learned to trust that he will always have a place at Ike’s side. He  joined the company to be with Ike and attain security, so the fact that he expects to lose all of that after being hurt is so sad, but also makes sense given his past and how he’s only been desired for his abilities. Of course, Ike doesn’t realize any of this–he only wants Soren to be safe and stay with him. This is mirrored beautifully in Soren’s Forging Bonds in FEH, where he wonders why his younger self would be summoned when he isn’t useful, and Ike theorizes that it’s more about his younger self’s well-being than his abilities.
Another thing of interest here is that Soren, despite now being referenced constantly as the Greil Mercenaries’ tactician, didn’t actually start out with that job title. At the start of the game, he was their staff officer who was still in training with a different mercenary group. Over the course of the games, especially RD, he grows into his role as a respected strategist (and possibly a legendary one, if Cipher and his other game cameos are to be believed). But here, we see that even in the beginning of PoR, Ike already saw that potential in him.
Ch 8:
Ike: “What about you, Soren?” Soren: “…Ike. I’m not sure what help I could be to you. What place is there for me in a mercenary company, anyway?” Ike: “You are so weird…I’ve always depended on you, haven’t I? I need your tactical knowledge. I need your objectivity. You’re not going to leave me, are you, Soren?” Soren: “Don’t worry. I’ll be here, watching over you.”
I love how crucial this is to establishing their relationship, especially since all of the dialogues I included before this one are optional. This is the first time most players will see Soren doubt his place, Ike express how much he values Soren, and Soren promise to stay and look after him.
It’s also a perfect introduction to the arc Soren has if you do their supports. Throughout their supports, you learn why he feels like an outsider, finally culminating in him shouting “I don’t belong anywhere!” with the expectation that this will disgust Ike, and that Ike will finally reject him. But he doesn’t. That unconditional acceptance finally gets through to Soren, and in his final line in the game, if he has an A support with Ike, he will say his iconic line, “There’s only one place for me to be, Ike…and it’s by your side.” Even the word choice of “place” echoes the dialogue from chapter 8; what place is there for him? By Ike’s side. Asked and answered.
It’s significant that all of Soren’s appearances since then have quoted this sentiment. It’s the culmination of his journey toward acceptance. Without being tied to a specific family, nationality, or many of the other things that shape a person’s identity and understanding of their place in the world, he thought he would never belong anywhere. But Ike’s main philosophy is that a person’s origins don’t need to define them, and his influence allows Soren to accept himself.
Another interesting thing about the above interaction is how much it stands out from the other conversations in this part of the game. PoR gives a lot of early screen time to the Greil Mercs, even though as we’ve seen, it requires a lot of variations to account for permadeath. This leads up to chapters 8-9, where we see them all handle grief differently as they process what Greil’s life and death mean to them. All of this hits hard, but what’s interesting about Soren is that he never says anything about Greil. Instead, we see the above scene where he questions his own right to be there, as well as various scenes in chapter 9 where he hovers around Ike, trying to provide comfort and not knowing how (see below).
In this scene, the other characters are reacting to the idea of Ike taking command. Their loyalty to Greil is being tested as they have to decide whether to follow his inexperienced son. For instance, we learn in this section how much the three brothers owe to Greil for taking them in. But Soren, though Greil also took him in and he seemed to have some basic respect for Greil’s command, didn’t join the group for Greil. He joined it for Ike. So as he says, “We all knew that Ike was going to inherit command of the company, didn’t we? It just happened sooner than we wanted.” It was already a foregone conclusion that he would one day follow Ike–but to him, it’s not a foregone conclusion that he’ll be allowed to, or has a right to. So in the above script, when everyone is chiming in to express their support of Ike’s leadership, Soren instead vents his own insecurities.
Ch 9:
Much has already been said about Soren’s personal journey and how Ike supports him, but I am also very interested in the reverse. Ike is increasingly being forced to take on roles that he doesn’t feel ready for at the same time as having to swallow his sudden grief. PoR is at heart a coming-of-age story, where Ike is coming into his own while struggling to understand the world around him, all while getting a crash course in topics like war and politics. Soren, as someone who is very caring toward Ike but is otherwise cold and pragmatic due to his own traumatic experiences, and who is knowledgeable about many of the topics that Ike is ignorant of, is a key part of this growth process.
As said, chapter 9 especially has several parts where Soren clearly wishes to comfort Ike in the wake of Greil’s death, but has no idea how. Their C support is an example of this, as is their base conversation, which I’ve always thought was incredibly sweet—especially given that Soren’s intent clearly comes through, and Ike is able to find comfort in his presence while reassuring Soren that he’ll be all right. It demonstrates the care and understanding between them.
Another example though, which you might not necessarily see, happens after Soren’s first report if there was a casualty in the previous chapter:
Soren: “And that’s it.” Ike: “Ugh…” Soren: “Ike? Is something wrong?” Ike: “Even though I was aware of the numbers, hearing it in a report like this is…hard.” Soren: “Do you mean the casualties and refugees?” Ike: “Death and destruction are all part of war. My father said that a lot. ‘The first casualties of war are those without strength and those without luck. And there’s nothing you can do about it. Live with bravery, be daring and fearless. Live for those who have died.’ And yet…I can’t help but think if I were more powerful…I could save more people. Couldn’t I?” Soren: “Ike…” Ike: “…Blast!” Soren: “Indeed.” Ike: “Forgive me. I got carried away.” Soren: “No, not at all… Um, perhaps I should…” Ike: “Thank you for the report. I will need more of the same from here on. Keep up the good work.” Soren: “Thank you, Commander. I will do my best. But if I have your leave, I must be going.”
First of all: Can we all just appreciate how funny “...Blast!” “Indeed.” is? It reads like a shitpost comic, but they really just said that.
Anyway, the idea that people can die in Ike’s very first battle as commander, right after he could do nothing to save his father, hits hard here. FE in general, with its permadeath feature and plots, focuses a lot on the weight of individual deaths in war. Given Greil’s past, it’s unsurprising that he gave Ike the advice he did. But it’s equally unsurprising that Ike would find this hard to accept.
As said before, Soren truly does not know how to offer comfort, but his sympathy for Ike is clear. All he can really do is support him with his tactics and objectivity like Ike asked. So it seems significant that this is one of the only times Soren ever addresses Ike formally. Ike is always just Ike to him, even later on when Ike has been named a lord and general. So to me, the fact that he calls him “Commander” here feels deliberate. All this time, Ike has been doubting his ability to lead, and Soren can’t offer personal comfort–so acknowledging Ike’s role as his leader, and Soren’s commitment to supporting him in that role, is the best assurance he can provide.
Next, I want to talk about the middle section of the game, particularly moments that reference the Ike/Soren supports.
Ch 12:
Nasir: I am uncomfortable around dragons. I thought it would be better if I stayed below in my cabin. My apologies. Ike: Now that you mention it, Soren seems to have disappeared as well. Have you seen him? Nasir: Perhaps he's feeling nauseated. For one unaccustomed to sea travel, it's not uncommon. Ike: Right...I think I'll check up on him later.
I’m including this for being early foreshadowing re: Soren’s origins, as well as one of the many times that Ike checks on him throughout the game. Actually, this is an example of something that happens a LOT, which is the game pointing people toward the Ike/Soren supports. Given how important they are to Soren’s arc and that they’re even a requirement for some scenes in RD, that isn’t surprising. It is pretty unusual in an FE game, however, which makes it notable. Sometimes it feels like every other chapter is putting neon signs around Soren saying “This guy has Stuff, and Ike wants to know what, btw.” This specific example is even one that foreshadows RD, rather than anything that is followed up on directly in this game.
Ch 13:
Ike: Soren...About what I said this morning... Soren: Yes? Ike: About the way you phrase things. Soren: I...I ought to apologize for that. Ike: No, don't apologize. I know you. I know it's been bothering you, hasn't it? Soren: No. Well... Ike: Don't take it personally. I'm no better, you know. Your ability to speak plainly the things others won't is part of what makes you brilliant. Others are too bound by courtesy...With you, I trust that what you say is exactly what you think. Soren: Well...yes... Thank you, Ike.
I don’t have anything new to say here re: the things Ike understands and appreciates about Soren and how Ike expresses this. I just love this scene. <3
Ch 15:
Ike: Tell me, Soren, are you all right? Soren: Hm? Ike: Recently--ever since we reached Begnion, in fact--you've seemed depressed. Soren: Is...is that so? How odd. Well, I can think of nothing specific that's bothering me. Ike: Well, if you say so. Ike: So, it's time for the desert! Which is the best direction to enter from? Soren: ... Ike: Soren? Soren: ...Eh? Yes, what is it? Ike: All right, I know there's something going on! Soren: I'm... I'm sorry... I was...thinking. What is it you wanted? Ike: Well, I was going to ask you for directions, but it's no longer necessary. It looks like we're being met.
This is one of the most blatant examples of their supports being integrated into the plot. It follows up on Ike telling Sigrun that Soren’s been depressed, and leads directly into their B support, plus foreshadows their A support by establishing Soren’s reaction to finding out that he’s branded.
Ch 17:
Ike: Hm? Is that you, Soren? You're up early. Soren: Actually, I'm always awake at this time. Ike: Really? Soren: Yes. You're the one who's up earlier than normal. Ike: I want to finish our mission today. I think my nervous energy woke me up. Soren: I understand... The last two days spent searching Serenes Forest for that heron have been frustrating and fruitless. I'm sure he's in there somewhere, but… Ike: I agree. And Duke Tanas's men are still hunting away. They must think the heron is there as well. Soren: The only place left is the forest's heart. That's where we should go today. With luck, we may finally locate our target. Ike: I get the feeling it's going to be a long day.
This, meanwhile, happens after the B support has already been available. This is mostly plot exposition, but what’s significant is that the tone and dynamic are very different than just a couple chapters ago. You can’t tell in text, but they’re smiling in the lines about their sleep schedules, making the vibe very casual and domestic. This is a far cry from just a little while ago, when Soren couldn’t hold a conversation with Ike even while doing his job. This suggests that Soren is feeling somewhat better, and has regained his usual dynamic with Ike–which only really makes sense when you’ve just gotten their B support, and Soren has gotten a lot off of his chest while deciding to keep the rest to himself for now.
Another sweet thing here is Soren’s understanding and sympathetic replies to Ike, which as we saw earlier in the game, he was struggling to provide on a basic level. They’re truly learning and growing together even in little ways.
Immediately after that, we transition into this:
Soren: I believe this is the place where we ended our search yesterday. Ike: I realized something a couple of days ago...Even in this forest, you always know exactly where you are, don't you? Soren: Hm? Ike: How do you do that? I think it's the lack of color, but these woods are starting to look the same to me. Soren: Yes, that's a problem...
This is again foreshadowing lore from their supports by hinting that Soren has better senses than a beorc (personally, I theorize that due to his dragon blood, Soren has above-average spatial awareness and other abilities that help him with navigation–handy for a tactician!) and setting up the reveal that he managed to navigate a forest on his own as a child.
And finally, one late-game scene:
Ch 27:
Ike: The one I seek is behind these doors. Don't follow me. I'm going in alone. Soren: Ike! Wait! I'm going with– Titania: No, Soren. We have to let Ike go alone. The Black Knight is his. Defeating him is a crucial step that Ike must take in order to truly get over the death of his father. Soren: Idiocy! I'll hear no more of this naive nonsense! What if something happens to him? What then? Titania: I think Ike has gained the composure to keep calm and judge whether or not he can match an opponent. If, in fact, he can't...it means he's reached his full potential, and that's all there is to him. We just have to accept that. But I believe in Ike. I trust him. His life is not his alone any longer. I don't believe he's so irresponsible as to leave his companions behind by choosing to engage in a contest he cannot win. Please, Soren, you must feel the same way. Don't you? Soren: ...I don't like it. Sometimes, bravery and good judgment aren't enough. Titania: Commander Greil... Watch over your son.
I don’t have a lot to say that’s relevant to my other points, I just love this scene for how it establishes both Soren and Titania’s dedication to Ike, and what that means to each of them. Shoutout to the Tellius audio CD for showing us what it would be like for them to support Ike in a fight against the BK! (And shoutout to it in general for having some incredible Ike/Soren content, including some adorable casual banter as well as more dramatic moments.)
Radiant Dawn
Honestly, for understandable reasons of scope, RD doesn’t have as much in the category of ‘Ike/Soren moments that are personal but not in supports/base convos/death quotes/epilogues/etc.’ There are a few fave moments I want to highlight though, as well as just a general appreciation for how Soren is constantly referenced as being at Ike’s side, considering what I’ve already said about what that means re: his arc.
Also, shout-out to their intro cutscene where Soren pays no attention to his surroundings as he hurls magic at the enemies surrounding Ike.
Ch 3-3 (base convo)
Ranulf: Soren has even answered some of Skrimir’s more insane requests. He doesn’t listen to a word I say, but when Soren talks strategy, he’s all ears. Ike: Is that why he hasn’t been complaining during the briefings? Ranulf: He says he looks forward to what the little strategist will say next. It looks to me like Soren’s charmed his way into the most powerful position in this army. Titania: I’m glad to hear it. He’s changed, hasn’t he? Ranulf: Yeah, I think so. He still doesn’t say much, but he’s a lot more at ease these days. He used to be completely closed off, rejecting anyone who tried to get close. Like he’d lock himself away, all alone in his own little world. Ike: We all lost and gained something during the Mad King’s War. Maybe it wasn’t a complete waste, after all.
Ranulf’s commentary on Soren’s growth here is great, and of course we have seen how Ike’s support enabled it. It also just says so much that Ike thinks the war wasn’t a complete waste, after all he himself lost and all the horrors he witnessed, just because Soren is more at ease. Especially if you pursue their supports in PoR, Ike spends considerable energy trying to help Soren feel better, so it makes sense that this is still a priority for him.
Ch 3-7
Micaiah: You are so… cold. It’s like you’re cloaked in frost. Is there even blood in your veins? Soren: There is. Blood very similar to yours, in fact. Blood that teaches us what it means to be rejected and alone. Micaiah: Your heart is frozen, but I feel a warm core trying to melt through that ice. I see… You have someone you cherish very much. Someone you rely on.
3-13
Micaiah: Yes, and you would know. There’s something very different about you, too. Your energy feels so…ancient. You and I seem to have so much in common. Soren: That doesn’t matter in the slightest. The only thing that does matter is that you are a dangerous adversary. You are also in Ike’s path, so it falls to me to remove you. It’s almost a shame. Farewell, Maiden of Dawn. Micaiah: So, you fight for someone, as well. So very much alike… But I will defeat you. I will protect the ones I love!
The parallels between Soren and Micaiah and their relationships, as well as other characters (Hi, Zelgius), are their own fascinating topic. The whole convos between them are great, but I’ll just highlight that it says a lot that Micaiah can read Soren’s heart and sense Ike’s impact on him. Especially when you combine it with Ranulf’s observation, it brings home the influence Ike has on Soren. His first reaction to recognizing Micaiah as a kindred spirit is to focus on the idea that they’re both alone, but she immediately calls out that this isn’t entirely true. Given how determined Micaiah is to protect her loved ones, stemming in part from her own experiences with being branded, the fact that she can recognize that in Soren also speaks volumes.
Ch 3-8
Soren: Our options are profoundly limited, Ike. It appears our only other choice is those caves up ahead. Ranulf: Caves? Oh...yeah, those are the Kauku Caves. We don't want to go there. It's a complex maze, full of lava and ash. Not exactly a place you'd want to rest. The legends say that, through the caves, there's one exit that leads to Gallia, and another exit that leads to Goldoa. Whatever the legends say, though, the fact is that it's suicide to go in there. We don't even have a map! Ulki: However, the more you hens carry on, the closer the enemy advances on us. They're now less than a day away. Soren: If the enemy catches up to us in this forest, we will certainly die. The caves are known to be dangerous, so Begnion may not pursue. Even the most formidable natural hazard isn't as deadly as an intelligent, living enemy. We must go to the caves. Now. Ike: All right, Soren. I trust you. Let's move out for the caves.
Here’s where my analysis ends. I just…Ike hears how deadly this volcano is, hears Soren say that’s the safest place to be, and then immediately orders the large group of people he’s responsible for to enter it because if Soren says he’ll be safe in the volcano, then he’ll be safe in the volcano.
;_; “The Devoted” indeed.
(If you read this ~2k of script and ~2k of analysis, thank you and I hope you enjoyed! Happy IkeSoren Week Encore, everyone.)

i couldn't for the life of me find it again but i saw this really great post about how rex seems like he has BPD or a cluster b personality and i totally agree and i feel like it fits into markrex quite well for a few reasons. when rex first sees mark and eve arriving together, he has a really dramatically negative reaction even after eve tells him they go to the same high school. i feel like this scene highlights how rex is really insecure about himself and the relationship, and that eve merely being around an attractive guy like mark makes him feel really threatened. he also later makes fun of mark, which isn't abnormal for him but i feel like was to try and make himself feel better about the situation and the perceived rejection he's probably feeling from eve. and when they contain to hang out it made rex feel even worse, so he decides to self sabotage by cheating with kate. and the line kate says to eve is also really telling IMO, because we know he wasn't telling the truth but the fact that he would say she's dating invincible now means he could feel as if that might as well be true, because of a perceived abandonment of him by eve for mark. and for markrex, i think this could also show that rex is insecure about his attraction to mark as well, and probably feels inferior to him.
anon i saw that post too!! although i'm sorry it took me days to get back to you 😭 i tried to search it up so i can link it but it seems like it's goneeee 😭😭😭
i did a lil more reading and digging about it the clusters in BPD and i totally see what you mean.
ik it's not canon that rex has BPD but it would be so interesting to have that type of rep in the show.
also, thank you for listing out the moments those are really still fresh in my mind cause i've started to ship markrex even then.
all of rex's appearances and moments are memorable tbh. and it is highlighted with how he reacts with the things around him (as you listed this includes his dramatic moments, his jealousy, possible feelings of inferiority, and his self-sabotaging ways).
these things does add a certain interesting aspects about markrex's dynamic. and the s2 ep1 is such a blessing tbh.
because in s1 we see markrex in a not-so positive light considering there were moments rex was mean to mark. but mark never really took any of it to heart. which, btw, bless. it speaks how mature mark is and i think it'll be a really good balance with rex's immaturity.
now with their moment on s2ep1, it's such a good change to see them interact this way. you wouldn't think that rex would comfort him — if anything, i genuinely thought the writers would have black samson comforting invincible — but rex was genuine about it. sure it wasn't the most comforting or eloquent reassurance, but it was a genuine attempt coming from rex.
i do have a lil fic in the works for it btw hehe, but that's for another time.
personally i'm looking forward for more markrex interactions. i think they can balance each other really well, the blue-red aesthetic is there too, and the one-sided rivalry to allies to friends to lovers arc is my jammmm 🫶

; w; Sorry saw you reblogged that post about neopets making the rounds and as a long time Neopets player I'm trying my best to combat the spreading of misinfo. Feel free to ignore this!
we did NOT ditch the NFT bros on neopets, the head of the NFT project bought the site from Jumpstart and while the neopets metaverse project has been cancelled they only said there's "No Current Plans" when asked if they were still going to make NFTs/Crypto. The team behind the metaverse project also had huge issues with bigotry.
While the neopets team did state they would have more freedom and control they've made plenty of false promises and themselves spread misinformation about the NFT project in the past. We're not out of the woods yet I'm afraid.
oh sure they're still offering support for the digital collectibles that are already out there. they won't shut down any of their NFT projects abruptly cold-turkey. i don't think anyone really expected them to, either.
still though, according to the email update they are transitioning away from metaverse at the very least;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sure they don't expressly state there won't be any NFTs at all but i think it's still a W that they're moving away from metaverse and crypto bs. ik we've been burned by TNT before but any step away from crypto/NFTs/meta should still be encouraged and met with loud, positive reception. they're goin through a major transitional phase and this is a pivotal opportunity to say: [this] is what we, the userbase / fans, want.
not waving off the bigotry issue either i just haven't kept up with TNT / neo and don't know much of what's been going on so i really can't say much on it.

I see some people compared revolutionary girl utena and iwtv I don't get it I watch both series and don't get the comparison (I'm very slow)
ik it sounds hypocritical cuz i call myself slow but i promise u ur not! ur curiosity alone suggests u care & u have something up there. the comparison lies in how both adaptations tackle similar themes. the vampire and the prince are both parasites by definition, sold to u as the pinnacle of species but really leeches on life who so desperately want to cling onto a facismile of humanity bc theyve been locked out of it forever someway somehow. the sterile opulence of akio ohtori’s tower reminds me a bit of the dubai penthouse dont u think?
the 1973 first interview tapes with louis are all but said to be very similar in tone to a jilted ex complaining about his lover. “i was his superior in every way”. it wasnt even a tale of triumph over an abuser, it was mania, a bender, a second hand high off sampling the lives of drug addicts in a gay bar. ep3 louis all but saying he encountered an older jonah in europe who saw the devil in his eyes the way his mother did, encountering multiple vampire cults & the open question as of the writing of this post on amc claudia’s life in the 1970s. is it any wonder he saw europe as a failure & wanted to try again in america, in the epicenter of black empowernment going on in the state of california.. u can imagine how this creature pushing 100, when asked to recall his maker, can be so resentful in his recollection of him at the moment?
speaking of blurred boundaries.
Tumblr media
what was the full quote : the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb? yea..its all a lie. we got daughters thats makeshift brides thats also makeshift brothers and siblings who despise the broken mirror showing them the child they once was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
modern day louis attempts to sell this tale of triumph in the face of a fucked up gothic romance & the consequences of death made eternal to mortals. louis says this is a warning, but it serves more as his eulogy. louis wants u to believe claudia & him triumphed over lestat: first lover, his progenitor, all in one, but this story collapses when revisiting the monstrosity of recollection. at a time where death consumes the world, where death is brought from the push of a button in boardrooms thousands of miles from the scene, we are bought to the question of memory, intimacy in the eternity of death, and just what it even means to remember something. just as a vampire is born from trauma, a prince is born as the witness to eternal suffering.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
utena posits very similar questions w regard to what it even means to recall, what happens to u in the midst of memory formation. we are introduced to utena, a girl who wants to be a prince, who was saved by the prince when she was young& wants to be him, whos said to wear a boy’s uniform and the whole universe shes in sees it as such. the audience sees it for what it is, a poor man’s imitation, unusual attire, something marking her as the odd man out. we are initially introduced to some of what made utena want to be a prince thru saionji. saionji realizes in this moment, that he would have to age out of his companionship with touga to become a “Man”. eternity to saionji, represents the accursed day before he found the girl. but it is through mikage’s utter distortion of mamiya’s entire existence, through anthy, that we find out utena was the suicidal little girl seeking eternity, neither touga nor saionji brought it to her, and the eternity showed to her was the ghost of a prince showing the eternal suffering of his little sister who sacrificed everything for him. a girl who cannot be a princess is doomed to become a witch. all vampires are creatures born of trauma.
what does it mean to be eternal?
is the question both of these shows ask u. what is eternity, if not living the same miserable life over and over again? repeating the cycles of duels to get the hand of the bride, whos revealed to be a witch all along, and the endless pursuit of a prince whos never existed in the first place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there was never an escape from the constraints of mortality, u could never escape the sorrow that surrounded u in death. u r permanently the traumatized, broken creature u were on the verge of death/suicide/some other intimate tangle with a mortal death. now what do u make of it? unlike utena tho, there is no true way at liberation. u r the beast of the outside world.

on the whole kudos/comment thing. I'm an artist and I havn't posted art on instagram in 2 years, that is both og art and fanart. its not worth the 2 mins of my time to post after only to get 10ish odd likes from mostly people ik irl when I can just send it off to my friends and get wayyyyyy more personal and happy responses. yes creatives are not entitled to engament but don't be surprised when they disappear
if its not worth your time to comment then its not worth THEIR time to post.
I'll admit im a hypocrite saying this as I don't comment all the time (mixture of no internet when reading and good old mental illness leaving me with blank brain fog) but I stil try. its not a matter of which is good enough or conveince but if its a good day for me. speaking of trying while I'm here I freaking love dhd, started following from she ra but I love your orginal stuff and you're so sweet. <3
I hope people stop being rude in your ask box
Yes, I hear this a lot. Also, it seems people are willing to discuss about things with their friends or fandom fellow groups but not give the same comments to the person who created that thing. I have a personal experience of this.
Years and years ago, I used to write fanfic with an url no one knew about. It was my secret little account. I was a part of a fandom group for the said fandom I was writing these fics about. The group was lovely and active, and they openly loved to discuss about fanfics and fanart.
Whenever I wrote a fic and posted it, the very same day someone within the group noted the whole group about it. Those who wanted to read the fic went to read it, and then they eagerly discussed about the fic with each other; what did they like about it, what thoughts they had, if they had any metas or ideas of what would happen in the next chapter, how the fic had made them feel like and what was their favorite part of each chapter.
I followed these conversations without anyone knowing they were talking about my fic. It made me happy to see that what I had written was well received, and people waited for more!
Did any of these people leave me a comment on the said fic they were gushing about? No.
So, the lurker me knew that my fic was well received and liked, but the author me didn't know, because no one said anything. All the conversation was held in a private place among readers but the author was not included in it.
It would have been really easy for any of these fans of the fic just copy the same thing they had said in the private group and post it to the author me under the fic. Very easy support and a very easy way to let the author-me know that yes, this is what we wish to get more! I only know this because I was lurking in the fan group and saw these conversations.
Another experience I've got and it still keeps happening is that if I join a Discord group or any event group, there are always people who know me due FUZZY. They say that they read the comic and loved it. I have no idea just how many people actually read FUZZY, know it and liked it, because the majority seem to be lurkers who I encounter at random like this :D It's always a surprise when it happens, a happy one mind you! I don't know how many readers and fans FUZZY actually had but I think no one can really ever know the full scale of their fans and influence.
I've got IG which mainly operates now as an art gallery for those who wish to see just my art (excluding long comic updates due image limit). Engagement is small in IG and Twitter, where things are fresh for 20 second and then they are forgotten - albeit IG's positive side compared to Twitter is a better search system where you can go through old posts and like & comment them (no, it's not creepy, why the hell giving support for someone would be creepy when we talk about supporting fandom people).

personally i don’t think charles’ car not being as good is an excuse to why max keeps pushing him off the track. especially because even if max would have gotten past most likely anyway (or at least in austin) it keeps leaving him extremely vulnerable to other people, along with the obvious reasons why pushing someone off the track isn’t cute. and yeah it’s nice that max apologizes to charles because he rarely does and especially not for the first lap but come on 😭 who cares about apologies if it keeps happening. it’s giving ferrari core! to my knowledge it’s only happened twice so i’ll give the benefit of doubt but that’s still a lot in a short amount of time. and yeah charles is a menace too but if it was him doing these moves he’d get penalized twice as badly so that’s not max’s fault but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. also made me mad that max blamed the grip when on his radio he seemed perfectly in control and talked as if it was on purpose lol “of course i was in front” (he was not in front) “send them my regards”. i absolutely love seeing them race but i’m just imagining how nasty a REAL title fight, 2022 doesn’t count ferrari ruined everything, could very quickly with this type of stuff. sorry for ranting in your inbox lol i just had to get this off my chest because i love the two of them and their races but too many people are putting on their lestappen glasses on that move and i felt so awkward sharing that that opinion because everybody else seemed to love it (i loved the other moves during this race, just not that one) until i saw the other anon
all valid points made! you're always free to rant here i have been persuaded by anons in the past (and frankly even when i'm not i appreciate seeing different povs on things) <33
i will just clarify that i meant that i think charles doesn't get as mad about it because he has a worse car and knows max likely will get by, not that max thinks he can get away with it because he has a worse car. but yes, throwing charles out of position like that and screwing him for the cars behind seems a bit unnecessary when max could pass him more easily and cleanly a bit later
though, at the same time, max knows charles can hunt him down if given a sliver of possibility so he's hardly going to be interested in giving charles an easier time of it on the pass. it can only benefit him if charles has to switch his focus to defending instead of attacking. which yeah it's fucked, max def intended to push him wide but i don't think he meant to push him off, which makes it a little different in my mind. racing a little dirty bc he knows charles will race dirty back and because he considers charles a legitimate threat is excusable to me, but maliciously fighting very dirty would be too much for me too i think. i think where a lot of people end up disagreeing is deciding where on the spectrum it falls
re: the radios, ik max said in the post race presser that at the time he was all full of adrenaline and mad about it and felt the penalty was stupid, but looking at the replay it was deserved. so i think in the moment his radios def were sassy and unapologetic bc he thought he was in the right (and, in my mind, if he really lost the grip and didn't intend to then he would definitely feel he was in the right yaknow?). i am willing to take him at his word bc im biased and like max but i can see why others aren't so willing to, esp. given his reputation to be a bit naughty on track

ik this'll come out of nowhere and be kinda weird but i saw your "what happens to Zelda" tag on the "she would not fucking become a housewife" post and because tloz is my hyperfixation my love my baby, i just wanna fill others in!! feel no need to respond to this. in fact I'd be kind of embarrassed if you did. In case you don't wanna read all of this here is the TLDR: Zelda and Link are two very traumatized individuals who were forced and hurt by the societal expectations and the destiny placed upon them and after many tragedies in their lives would rather live freely as they want rather than confide in similar societal norms that people want to place upon them.
long version: that post was in particular about the Zelda we see in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom. from a young age, Zelda had the knowledge of her family's divine bloodline held over her. and when the warning of the Calamity Ganon (the physical manifestation of the Demon King's hatred) came to light, she was to train in awakening her divine powers. however at age 6, her mother died (implied assassination by the Yiga Tribe who worship the Demon King). Her father, King Rhoam Bosphoromus Hyrule, fell into a deep depression and began emotionally neglecting/abusing her. Zelda has a love for science, history, and the ancient technology of an era long forgotten constructed by the Sheikah Tribe. She used this as a coping mechanism with the expectations of saving the world put on her, her mother's death, and her father's neglect. Rhoam however believed that Zelda needed to put everything she had into awakening the divine power within her and frequently fought with and berated Zelda for her interest in the Sheikah Technology.
Eventually, when she is 16, she and five other individuals (Link, Revali, Urbosa, Daruk, and Mipha) form the Champions. Together they would defeat Calamity Ganon and restore peace to Hyrule. Urbosa was Zelda's mother'a best friend and thus took on a maternal role for Zelda. However Link, the Chosen Hero, was initially disliked by Zelda. He represented everything she thought she wasn't. Link also was part of this prophecy, as the Hero chosen by the Master Sword who will help seal Ganon. However from Zelda's perspective, Link took on his role so much easier than she did. Unlike Zelda, who struggled to connect with her divinity and couldn't awaken her powers, Link was a proficient swordsman and fighter. She resented him for it and often lashed out at him. One day, Link put his life in extreme risk to save Zelda's life from Yiga Assassins after her, and that action was something Zelda was incredibly grateful for, so she began trying to connect with him a bit. She learned that Link was actually struggling heavily. He too was thrust into this position from an early age when he was chosen by the Master Sword at age 13 or so. Since then, he was frequently seen and treated as a walking weapon before a person. He internalized that and began bottling up his thoughts and feelings, seeing himself as having to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders without ccomplaint. This revelation made Zelda see Link as similar to herself, and they connected on a more personal level about their shared stress and destiny. Eventually they became close friends and showed interest in something more between them.
Unfortunately, on Zelda's 17th birthday she went to the Sacred Spring of Wisdom to pray to the Goddesses in a final attempt to awaken her powers. She has tried everything she could think of up to that point and was at her lowest after failing to show any signs of power at all. It was then that the Calamity Ganon struck. The Calamity took control of the Ancient Sheikah Technology and turned it against Hyrule while also manifesting several monsters to attack. This event became known as The Great Calamity. Most of Hyrule's population was killed in this event, along with four of the Champions and her father. Several towns were in ruins or completely destroyed (like Hyrule Castle Town), and Hyrule Castle itself was taken, infested with monsters, and in ruins.
Link and Zelda flee and retreat to Fort Hateno where corrupted Guardians (large autonomous tank-like robots) attacked them amd the last remaining part of the Hyrulean Army. They were getting crushed and Link was gravely wounded, and at the last moment right before Link surely would've been killed, Zelda's powers manifested and obliterated the Guardians at the fort. Despite this one victory, there was no time for celebration as Link collapsed and dies in Zelda's arms.
Zelda is having none of it though, and orders a few survivors of the Fort Hateno battle to bring Link to the Shrine of Resurrection (which was an ancient sheikah shrine able to revive one person, however had gone unused for thousands of years and wasn't even known of it was still safe).
Zelda brings the Master Sword back to it's pedestal and goes to Hyrule Castle alone to confront the Calamity Ganon. In one night, Zelda had lost everything and she used that grief and anger to seal away the Calamity and herself within Hyrule Castle. She couldn't destroy it, however as she needed Link and the Master Sword. The two of them needed to do this together. So she waited in a state of stasis along with the beast for Link to awaken from the Shrine of Resurrection.
It took 100 years for Link to be resurrected, and as he was actively being healed he naturally didn't physically age. He awoke with no memories however. BotW happens and he slowly regains his memories of the Great Calamity and of Zelda. At the end of the game, Zelda helps Link from within Calamity Ganon and destroys the creature. (for clarification, Zelda also didn't physically age as her divine powers kept her and the Calamity in a form of stasis for the century that Link healed. Unlike Link however, she was fully conscious.)
Around 5 years pass, and in that time Link and Zelda (both around 22/122) have been slowly rebuilding Hyrule with the inhabitants of this new era. They have made new friends and connections 100 years after their lives were changed forever and were moving forward with their lives.
This peace doesn't last unfortunately, as a dark substance begins leaking from the ground underneath the ruins of Hyrule Castle. Link and Zelda investigate and discover the decaying body of the Demon King himself, Ganondorf. He is being restrained by a mysterious spiritual arm, but when Link and Zelda discover and approach the sight, the land collapses and falls to the floor; a tear-shaped artifact falls from the hand and lands in front of Zelda, who picks it up. Then Ganondorf, now free from the prison that the hand was keeping him in, attacks. This attack cripples Link (almost completely destroying his right arm), shatters the Master Sword, and causes the cavern they're all in to collapse. During this collapse, Zelda falls into a cavern. As she is falling, her divine powers (which in this game is further revealed to be light based cleansing powers as well as time manipulation) activate and she is sent far into the past: the era of Hyrule's foundation.
In the past she meets the first King and Queen of Hyrule, Rauru and Sonia. These two become the parents Zelda never had (and the ones she deserved, they're great) and they plan to figure out a way for Zelda to master her time powers to maybe send herself back the 20,000 years in the future to her time.
Zelda becomes very close with the people in this era and even gets to keep the tear-shaped stone she found in the cavern. Long story short; she learns of a forbidden practice known as draconification, gains some control over her abilities, Ganondorf launches his first attack on Hyrule, kills Sonia, transforms into the Demon King, and begins the Imprisoning War.
Rauru, four Sages (Sages of Wind, Fire, Water, and Lightning) and Zelda (appointed as the Sage of Time) fight Ganondorf. Ganondorf however is whooping their asses, and Rauru sacrifices himself to seal Ganondorf (eventually becoming the arm Link and Zelda find imprisoning Ganondorf).
So Zelda is utter defeated. When suddenly, a golden light appears before her and the shattered, broken Master Sword appears before her (Link in the present day gained time-based powers known as Recall from Zelda's willpower that had manifested which reacts with Zelda's time powers in the past and created a temporary link through time in which the sword was sent to the past through).
Zelda realizes that she is part of a causal-loop (where events in the future cause events in the past to happen that then cause said future events to happen). She realizes that by helping seal away the Demon King, she also helped create the Calamity Ganon that destroyed her kingdom in the future and she realizes what she must do to save her kingdom and those she loves. Thus she swallows the tear-shaped stone and undergoes Draconification. She is painfully turned into a dragon and the Master Sword gets lodged in her head to heal (as the blade heals via sacred energy as told in botw and other past tloz games).
As a dragon, Zelda loses everything that made her "Zelda". Her mind, emotions, spirit is all lost. She wanders aimlessly in the skies above Hyrule for thousands of years until the end of TotK where she, as a dragon, gets the Sword (now fully restored and more powerful) pulled from her head by Link and fights the Demon King alongside him. Absolutely destroying him and ending the plague on Hyrule.
Using an advanced version of Recall + Sonia and Rauru's ghosts manifesting and channeling their powers through Link, Zelda gets her draconification reversed (which was previously thought impossible). After being miserable and controlled for most of their lives, Zelda and Link finally get to live their lives in peace. No more "destiny", no more "fate", no more "expectations". Link and Zelda get to finally live their lives how they want to. Zelda, by her very character, wants nothing more than to explore and learn. She would not choose to be a traditional housewife raising kids because that isn't who she is. And now she is no longer confined to have to be someone she isn't.
Sorry for this info dump!! but now you know!
OHHHH. okay. i had honestly figured (along with my friend) that the post was about some awful fanfiction the op (are you the op . if you are pretend i wrote you there) saw.
don't apologize for this infodump! this is very interesting, and though i have not played totk, i really enjoyed reading your analysis of Zelda's character!

I dont want to do this anonymously because I feel like it’s better to say this as me. So I saw your posts about konigsblog also and I wanted to kinda share my experience as someone who previously used to interact with their blog. In the beginning I used to read a lot of their fluffy posts when they were a pretty common occurrence, but then I started to notice a switch. A lot of their stuff started to become a lot more dark and way out of character, like they didn’t play or watch any COD related stuff at all. As a victim of SA, I thought that I had to enjoy what they were writing because I hear a lot about people coping through dark topics, even though it made me uncomfortable. I mean their posts always gained a lot of traction, so I had to like it, right? I guess in retrospect I wasn’t in the best mindset and those type of posts made me regress back to a darker place, and I thought I would be the oddball if I didn’t enjoy them like everyone else did. Then it dawned on me the way they were portraying topics such as non-con, abusive relationships, and even step family scenarios almost in a fetish type way. It really opened my eyes to how I did not feel okay with this and this wasn’t the type of thing for me, I was looking for something that comforted me. I do read a lot of recovery and aftermath stories with my favorite characters cause I found that to be a better way to cope and move forward. It really upsets me to see the 141 be portrayed as just the worst people and the excuse always being “they’re murderers, it’s their job to kill.” A lot of this is what really turns me away from the COD fandom.
Sorry if this sounds rushed and looks like a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but I think your posts really helped me get my thoughts straight and share my experience. 😭
I do apologise profusely for taking so long to answer this; it's partially because I'm no longer in the cod fandom (just write for a few select characters), and bc I also don't really want to be harassed again by proshippers. however, I do thoroughly want to take the time to adress some of your points.
I mostly want to say this: I am so, so, so sorry. I am incredibly sorry that you felt like you were in the position where you felt as if you HAD to engage with it and where you felt as if your uncomfort was not a priority. nobody should EVER have to feel that way, EVER. and you should never have to had gone through that.
I completely understand what you mean when you say that you weren't in the best mindset, and I do truly hope that you've started to get better now. but I am, again, so very sorry that it made you regress; it's truly awful to hear and that shouldn't have happened to you whatsoever. you're NOT an oddball, you're NOT invalid, and you're certainly NOT obligated to engage with anyone for any reason - especially if their content makes you feel uncomfortable. the peer pressure is UNBELIEVABLE, and again, I am very sorry that you had to go through that because you didn't deserve to.
of course! I 100% get what you mean when you say that it's portrayed as a fetish - bc it is! I mean, all it takes is one quick search on ao3 to see it plain as day. and naturally you WOULD want to seek comfort - one way or another, we all do! so it really is NOT your fault at ALL. and you should never be made or belittled or bullied into thinking so either. I totally get what you mean when you talk about recovery fics, and I do think that there's no issue w them whatsoever (not my personal cup of tea, but still), and you're right to WANT them to exist!!
honestly? this exact issue is one of several (as well as the racism, homophobia & saneism, PLUS the harassment!) reasons why I left the cod fandom tbh - and I've yet to look back! I think, if that's what's right for you, then absolutely go for it - ik a few friends who haven't LEFT the fandom, but they do only stick to people they know or people who they're CERTAIN don't post those kinds of things. but anything you choose (stay, leave, partial leave) is absolutely valid imho!
again, ik im saying it a lot, but I am really sorry that you've had that experience and I do sincerely hope you're feeling even a little bit better now <3

HONEYMOON UN DUEX TROIS
HONEYMOON UN DUEX TROIS | Akutagawa Ryunosuke
description l You and Akutagawa meet at a company event for the Port Mafia where he invites you to dance.
includes x reader, fluff, LOTS of romance, ooc, cute meet, friends to lovers, formal events, work promotions, chara cameos, admission of romantic interest/feelings, coworkers, fem!reader.
note : here's a birthday gift for you all, ik i just started posting on here but i really wanted to put this out because i have akutagawa brain rot. (HBD to me!!!!!)
Work ceremonies were always so critical for you, the promotions, the connections, but most of all the people, this group of people in particular stuck out to you even if they were stranger then what you saw on the surface.
“Hey rookie! Over here!” Chuuya called out holding a large bottle of wine as he waved you over. “Hey Chuuya, hey everyone.” You smiled softly before turning your attention to Chuuya, you watched as he leaned over to your ear and whispered into it.
“I heard you're being promoted from junior executive to a head executive, is that really true?!” You rolled your eyes playfully, turning your head to make eye contact with him.
“I’m not even quite sure myself, we’ll just have to wait and see..!” You teased before stepping away to a corner of the room to observe everything, the feeling of bliss knowing how to perfectly describe the proud feeling that settled in your chest.
The ceremony hall finds all the executives of the Port Mafia, standing straight. Akutagawa stands beside them and waits until the ceremony starts. The ceremony starts and Mori's voice starts to sound. He announces the new executives who will be joining the Port Mafia. [Name] is among them. You both hear your name among them and looks at you. He notices that you are already staring at him, smiling. He smiles seeing your radiant figure move across the hall.
You walk down the stage, square shoulders, perfect posture, and a proud smile.
"I, am [Name] the 3rd newest executive of the Port Mafia. I look forward to working with you all." His eyes are on your every move and every word. He has butterflies in his stomach and in his head. He is speechless for a moment
"I.. Congratulations [Name], you deserve it." He walks towards you and presents you with a box of flowers as a gift "Here, to celebrate your new position in the Port Mafia."
He does his best to wink at you with his usual stone cold expression. You can feel it again, that strange feeling bubbling up in your gut, the hint of heat slowly moving from the pit of your stomach to your face, and the overwhelming amount of happiness you get while being close to him.
"Ah- thank you Ryuunosuke, what are these gifts for..? I don't believe this is a custom in the Port Mafia, to my understanding gifts are only used during special events." He places the box in your hands, the cold cardboard wrapping around your soft fingers while his own rough and unkempt ones nicked yours.
"I'm not used to giving presents either, but I've been thinking about it for a few days." He leans closer, now you can smell his natural scent, one of burnt candle wicks and dried ink with a hint of old tea stained paper.
"As a congratulations to you, my lady." He leans closer, his hands still cupping your as he softly whispers. "And also as a way to thank you for your kindness and for your gentle nature."
You reciprocate the quiet gesture. "Ryuunosuke, I don't know what to say other than thank you, your such a gentleman." You can feel yourself smiling again, resting your head on his shoulder as you feel his fingers carefully twirl your strands in his fingers.
You can feel him smiling with you now, his cold hands still playing with your hair "No problem, dear. It's always a pleasure to be around you. I hope we can spend more time together, like this."
His hand carefully brushed a stray strand of hair behind your ear as if the slightest gust of wind would break it before running his hands along your head, at this point you can feel the feeling growing even more as your face flushed.
"Mr. Ryuunosuke, about the gift, just what exactly is it..?" You raise a brow carefully creating a space between you both to open the box.
He takes the box from you carefully, pulling the lid open, you hear a small nervous laugh escape him. "Oh, it's nothing serious, my dear. I just thought I could give these to you, to thank you..."
He takes out a pair of earrings from the box - a beautiful and elegant design "These are for you, It's a small gift, but I hope you like it."
"Oh my.. these are lovely.. they're such beautiful and elegant things.. thank you, boss.." You feel your smile growing wider and more pronounced. "If I may ask, are these jewel encrusted by chance..?"
He smiles at you holding your chin.
"Yes, they're made of diamonds, [Name]. And please, just call me Ryu - you are no longer a subordinate."
"I've never heard such beautiful things from such a man, you intrigue me, Ryu..” You turn your head away, your face now burning brighter than ever. "Ryu.. could you help me put these wonderful things on?"
"Of course, [Name].”
He picks up the earrings, placing them next to your ear before carefully slipping them into the holes, being careful not to hurt you. "Don't be nervous, you look so radiant tonight. Your beauty never ceases to amaze me."
He chuckles covering his mouth. "Of course, my dear. Let me help you with these.." He places the earrings in the piercing holes slowly so as to not hurt you."They look amazing on you, they enhance your beauty."
He bends slightly for his face to meet yours. "My lady, could I have this dance with you?" He places his gloved hand for you to hold, you take it feeling his gloved hands against your bare ones as he leads you to the large ballroom.
Once you get there he pulls you close, his hands on your waist and shoulder, he almost breathes in your aura "Let's dance, my dear lady.. I'll never get tired of looking at you, you know.. Your voice, your smile, your eyes, your hair.."
Now you can feel it, his warm breath by your ear, the way he's exhaling by it while his grip on you softens.
"I'm starting to fall for you, my dear lady [Name].."

hii, now that u saw the new episode i wanted to ask ur fav ships from the gen 4
OMG HI!!! this turned into a complete ramble i'm very sorry i'm just really hyper and love total drama!!! okay actually i dont ship very much from gen 4 compared to other people i've seen!! the only two ships i'd say i care a lot about are rajbow and prillie which feel like pretty basic answers.
i hope it isn't weird to say that rajbow makes me feel represented in a way and that i feel a connection with it? i'm not a gay man (in fact i'm straight) but i am still lgbt (i'm trans) and seeing total drama do good lgbt representation with two fun, enjoyable characters makes me so happy, especially because total drama is a show that i hold very close to me. i have been a fan of total drama for 13 years and i just have always had very intense feelings about it because total drama genuinely shaped me as a young, impressionable child. this is both a good thing and a bad thing because it is literally total drama but STILL!!! rajbow and zee will probably be the closest i get to feeling represented positively by canonical total drama as a lgbt person and a person with a physical disability, even if my disability is much different than zee's. i will take any good rep for the umbrellas i fall under, even if i may not be part of the exact group being represented under said umbrella. sorry ik zee has nothing to do with this but it just kept nagging me when i put rajbow is the closest i'll come to feeling positively represented because... zee exists and i am disabled.
sorry that the rajbow paragraph became very personal but aside from my connection to total drama as a show, i just think rajbow is fun!! and funny. i giggled a lot when raj left bowie his mouth guard and that letter. i wouldn't say they're my favorite ship in the entire show or anything but i think they mesh well together and their moments feel real in a sense? i don't know if this makes sense to anyone else but i just find rajbow to be one of the more realistic couples on total drama. the way they act reminds me of real teenagers more than a lot of other couples on the show and i like that.
as for prillie, i just tend to get really attached to sapphic couples and got really into them because their arc made me so invested and also they're my two favorite girls in the reboot. they have a lot of sweet moments that would make this post way too long if i described them all. i'm very much a fan of best friends to lovers as well which is a trope that i think fits with them.
OH ALSO WITH RAJBOW AND PRILLIE I AM VERY BIASED BUT MY TOP 4 FAVES IN THE REBOOT HAPPEN TO BE PRIYA, RAJ, MILLIE, AND BOWIE..... especially priya. i am very crazy about priya.
ummm ships i like besides these two are ones i don't care very much for. i think axelle is a cute concept and priyamien is too!! also after watching the leaked episode, i am interested in mkulia and depending on how they act this season i may start to really really love them together. i'm not that big on julia as a character but i was very interested in mk during season 1 and am very excited to see her interacting with people again!!
ghghghgh SORRY THIS IS SO LONG thank you for asking me about literally anything total drama related.

IkeSoren Week Day 5
Author notes above cut, skip to cut for the story.
This takes place near the end of Part 2 of Radiant Dawn, right before the Greil Mercenaries are going to need to make their reappearance. This takes place in my understanding of Tellius canon, with my own headcanons. At this point, Titania has talked to Ike about his recently budding relationship with Soren, Mia has figured it out, and Mist knows that Soren is Branded but does not know Ike and Soren are involved. Soren and Ike have been together for a month or so.
It’s part of a larger work I intend to post to AO3 one day when I’ve hammered it out some more.
Greil Mercenaries
In the middle of the afternoon, as they waited in an abandoned fort near Melior, Ike called a meeting with the mercenaries to discuss the blooming civil war within Crimea.
"So, Gatrie, Rolf, what did you find out?" Ike asked, sitting at one end of the table with Soren next to him on his right. Titania sat on the side of the table to Soren’s right, and Mist sat on the side of the table to Ike's left.
"It's not just the people in towns that have turned against the Queen," Gatrie said, "Some of the soldiers have as well, even outside of the Felirae territory."
"Yeah, it was kind of scary," Rolf said.
"You didn't get into any fights, right?" Ike asked.
"Nope," Gatrie said, "No fights."
"Everyone just seemed so mad about everything," Rolf said.
Ike looked at Shinon and Boyd, "Tell me more about the investigation team that was sent out by Queen Elincia."
"It was Lucia, Brom, Nephenee, and some other beorc woman I didn't recognize along with Lethe, Mordecai, that heron princess, and a really old looking crow," Boyd said.
"Princess Leanne's there?" Mist asked.
"Apparently they've been visiting for some time," Shinon said, "The royal courts are really pleased to be hosting a bunch of sub-humans."
"Shinon," Ike said tersely.
"What?" Shinon asked, staring at Ike, daring him to say anything else.
"Anyway, we overhead them saying they were going to show the heron princess around Crimea," Boyd interjected while Shinon and Ike stared at each other, "Starting with the Felirae territory for some of the local fruits they liked so much."
"Duke Felirae will be so pleased to find out Lucia is visiting him to take laguz on a tour," Soren commented, "I wonder if he'd be happier knowing she brought the laguz there to investigate him."
"Do you think they'll need help?" Ike asked, turning away from Shinon to look at Soren.
"Assuming that by really old raven, Boyd was speaking of Nealuchi, the chamberlain of Kilvas," Soren folded his arms across his body and considered. "I doubt we'd be of any use. Lucia, Nephenee, Brom, Mordecai, and Lethe can handle themselves in a fight, and if they're going to get into any conflict while in the Felirae territory, we wouldn't get there in time with our current position. Besides, our contract with Bastian is to help Queen Elincia, if she needs it. In order for us to be effective as a surprise force in the later conflict, blowing our cover now would be inadvisable."
"I'd just hate for anything to happen to them," Ike said, "Especially Princess Leanne. I know how much she means to Prince Reyson."
"I hear Nealuchi has some battle prowess, despite his age. King Tibarn and King Naesala wouldn't have left him as her escort if he couldn't watch out for her."
"Why even bother worrying about sub-humans?" Shinon asked.
Ike glowered over at Shinon.
"You seemed to become good friends with the hawk king's eyes, Janaff, during the war," Soren said irritably, "Well, as much as you are capable of befriending anyone. You can't figure it out?"
Shinon scoffed. "Ike, I get. He's been fawning over them since he laid eyes on them. I bet he'd even go out with one if he wasn't so interested in the queen, but you, Soren? I thought we were on the same page."
A heavy silence swept through the room like a muted thunderclap. Titania and Mia looked over at Ike. Mist looked at Soren and then at Ike. Soren saw the way Ike's arms tensed.
"What an obvious attempt at provocation," Soren commented dryly, "You really are getting stale."
Shinon glowered at Soren.
Soren raised an eyebrow. "Did you actually expect a response to that drivel?"
Shinon huffed and looked to the side. "You've gotten boring. Used to be that I could get under your skin saying anything bad about little Ikey."
"Some people get smarter as they get older. But I suppose I can't blame you for not being able to comprehend that, since your intelligence peaked about eleven years ago and has been on the decline ever since."
Ike let go of the breath he had been holding and his body relaxed. "Don't drag me into your attempts to goad Soren anymore, Shinon. I don't appreciate it."
"Whatever."
"Commander Greil wouldn’t have let you get away with just saying anything you like about Ike," Titania said forcefully through gritted teeth, "Stop being so rude."
Shinon looked at Titania and then rolled his eyes before looking to the side.
Mist nervously pulled her fingers down a lock of hair in front of her shoulder. "It's not that bad to want to be in a relationship with a laguz, is it?"
"Come on, not you too, Mist," Shinon groaned.
"What? No. I mean- Some of the laguz we fought alongside in the war were really handsome. But so were a lot of the beorc too."
"Mist," Ike groaned.
"Come on, Boss, you didn't notice that almost everyone that joined up with us was really good looking?" Mia asked.
"Oh, yes, all the women who fought with us were radiant," Gatrie agreed.
"No one cares what you think, Gatrie," Boyd grumbled.
"Did anyone in particular catch your eye, Mist?" Oscar asked after quickly glancing down at Boyd.
"Nope!" Mist proclaimed, her face red, looking at Oscar. "I-I didn't really like anyone in the army that much." A quick, brief, glance to Boyd betrayed her.
"Must be like your brother then," Mia said, leaning over to faux-whisper into Mist's ear.
"Huh?" Mist looked from Mia to Ike.
Ike buried his face in his hands as Mia chortled.
"Can we get back to the subject at hand?" Soren grouched.
"Why it's bad to like a laguz?" Rolf asked.
"No, the civil war," Soren said irritably.
"But is it?" Rolf asked.
"Yeah, of course," Shinon interjected, "Humans and sub-humans don't get along."
"Stop saying that," Ike snapped.
Shinon groaned. "Beorc and laguz. There. They don't mix."
Ike’s expression soured. "That's not what I-"
"But why? We can be friends," Rolf protested. "Right?"
Soren leaned forward, pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers, brows drawn together. It was entirely obvious what Mist had been trying to get at. Trying to figure out how the company would feel about beorc-laguz relations, and subsequently, their offspring.
"I don't know, Rolf. Maybe Rhys could answer that?" Ike suggested.
Soren shot an angry look up at Ike, which Ike pointedly ignored.
Rhys blinked and furrowed his brow. "I'm sorry, you have me at a loss, Commander. Why would I know more than the others?"
Soren busied himself by looking at the maps.
Ike shrugged. "I just heard some priests from Begnion talking about it while we were in the Mainal Cathedral. I thought it was a religious thing," Ike said in the smoothest lie Soren had ever heard Ike say. In fact, if Soren hadn't already been painfully aware of how Ike had found out that Branded were considered a crime against the goddess, Soren might have believed it.
"If it is, I've never heard of it before," Rhys said, sitting back to put his hands in his lap. "I just know the goddess wishes for us to live peacefully with the laguz. That's the only teaching I can recall off the top of my head."
Titania cleared her throat, "I do know as part of the terms of living in that village in Gallia, we were told to keep to ourselves and not get too close to the laguz. We could be friends, obviously, like King Caineghis and Commander Greil were. Maybe the laguz just aren't comfortable with such things given their past in Begnion."
"Humans like us shouldn't be either," Shinon said.
"I heard some things like that while I was part of the army," Oscar remarked, "Some of the other soldiers said King Ramon was far too familiar with the laguz. They were reprimanded quite harshly by Duke Renning for spreading that kind of gossip since King Ramon was very loyal to his wife."
"So, back to the matter that we're actually being paid to discuss," Soren interjected forcefully, "I think we should scout out the Felirae territory a little and see what his machinations are. Given the state of things, I think we should all go and be prepared to enter the fray at a moment's notice."
"But we were having fun," Mia protested.
Soren gave her a witheringly exhausted stare. "Fun doesn't get us paid."
"You're as boring as the boss is, no wonder you two get along so well," Mia said with a smug grin. Soren began to wonder if she knew something.
"Mia," Ike called out, suddenly sounding as over the conversation as Soren was. "Can we focus on the job now?"
"Fine," Mia sighed.
"When should we leave?" Titania asked.
"It's too late in the day to make any real progress," Soren said, "We should get everything packed up tonight so we can set out first thing in the morning tomorrow."
"I agree," Ike said. "Let's get to work on that."

I loove it when folks say things like "you don't need positivity for masculinity/liking youthful skinny twinks/liking buff guys/so on because the whole world is positivity for that" like in what world dudes??? you think the whole world is like wow you like fucking twinks oh my god that's so cool you're not going to burn in hell?
there's not some like limited amount of queer positivity that we simply must reserve solely for the most in need groups, even if somebody was more accepted than somebody else, but that's a bloody big if in this case. nobody's coming to take your support, nobody's saying you don't need it. this is much like when I said I would like more support for terminally ill people, because the "it absolutely will get better!" mantra is unhelpful, and people say it depresses them to think about things not getting better so they simply can't have people like us "ruining" positivity for them. my ramble about it got mostly chronically ill people, so some began brushing terminally ill people under the rug or saying that same bullshit with a new coat of paint, like "but remember even if you cannot be cured some things will get better, don't give up!" but I subsequently get treated like the one hijacking things and being pessimistic, on my own post that I didn't even put in any tags. it literally just advocated for variety, so then we all had something. people took it as their own opportunity to soapbox about how it absolutely does get better just not how you expected uwu, and I eventually got told maybe I should view dying as better, so I can understand even I will get better, as if that's not fucking horrible response to someone saying "would be nice if I could hear good things sometimes idk", like chin up buddy dying is actually what better looks like for a sad sack of shit like you, hope this helps :).
addiction to infighting and viewing everything on oppressors vs oppressed logic means you treat suffering of others as territory disputes and confrontation and threats. I mean, ffs y'all are after mrbeast atm because he *checks notes* paid for surgery for like thousands of blind people who wanted it, I even saw claims he's refusing to pay for people who wouldn't be filmed which btw are absolutely pulled directly out of that person's asshole, you think goddamn mrbeast sat down to film thousands of people??? bro.
and it really is so similar to when people say physical disability is worse, mental health is worse, chronic is worse, x, y, z. it's fuckt. similarly like when I talked about epilepsy and compared it to an intolerance or allergy, which I have, but people assumed I don't, misread what I was saying, went on the attack. it's so tiresome. I literally was saying both are equally serious, and inflicting what triggers that in somebody is wrong and dangerous, people took colloquialisms as literal translations so badda bing badda boom, ableism against myself apparently. which means I'm oppressor, capable of maximum power, thus deserving of maximum cruel. exactly the same logic t3rfs use to send suicide bait asks to me. oppression olympics, I'm sorry but that's what it is. stop it. you'd honestly be more useful to queer people or disabled people as a completely silent onlooker than as an asshole claiming that your oppressor is a gay man with different tastes, dying people, or an otherwise vulnerable disabled person, or the guy paying for the surgery (who btw did also say the gov should be doing so, like ik apparently the narrative is he doesn't do that but yeah he does).
warped outlooks like these are spreading like wildfire, and you'd honestly be surprised how much they're even infesting irl space, including these weird obsessions with finding any way a person transgressed or sinned, ways you're more deserving of support, absolutely ridiculous leaps in logic and twisting of facts, it's just harmful. to people. you can talk all you want about politics, that community, what's best for the ends, but people are the reason literally any of that even matters to begin with. the rights of gay people aren't abstract, they're not for their own sake, they're not philosophical mental exercise, they are to protect queer people.
aromantic people don't get that the world just isn't pro-romance regarding ace, gay, trans, or poly romance, asexuals don't re sex absolutely not being accepted whenever it deviates, if you're an aromantic or gay or trans person, if you're kinky, etc, and then it doubly is an issue that gay/trans allo/allo people start asking we somehow prove being aro/ace is on par with other forms of this general genre of discrimination, as if being equally suffering has historically determined if people should care about each other. preemptively: look at the flags in my icon, I'm fucking aro. dude. however, I'm also gay af. I fuck men. I am criticising the fact you devour exclusionary rhetoric despite saying "exclusionists dni".
some criticise my lack of paragraphs and image descriptions as something adhd/visually impaired people need, but 1) I'm both, describing is hard for me, and 2) schizo, thought disorder, ocd, various issues make it near impossible for me often, just like you reading that, so just leave my posts alone, go elsewhere. variety. thoughts don't come clearly to me, it's a disjointed mess, and so ridiculous that people expect me to just "do better" and write for whatever way they find easier to read- that'd take literally hours. nothing here is "an excuse", this isn't word games, there's not an ulterior motive, get out of that mindset bro. people are like "your excuses don't make it okay not to accomodate my adhd" - idgaf. symptoms of yours don't mean I can overcome my symptoms. I shouldn't have to keep saying this but variety solves all of these. nowhere did I say allergies get respect/gay people have it worse compared to ace people/terminal people should be thought of literally every time you make a post/etc - I said be nice. bet that doesn't reflect whatever wild interpretations will fill these notes. wouldn't surprise me if somebody is saying I said there's not any cringe or toxic aro people, or that I'm erasing how exclusionists harmed ace people by equating some lame opinions with sheer incomprehensible levels of attack online (I never equated shit in these points, comparable and identical are just not synonyms).
something I think people need to learn is that just because your bullies have been calling you short, doesn't mean they don't call somebody else a tree or ask them how the weather is up there. I understand asexuals are mocked for not being sexual, despite it being the case that I'm mocked for being that; I'm mocked that thoughts naturally come in a disjointed spew, and I simply can't comprehend well enough to edit anything, but I understand you struggle to read that; I need posts that don't talk about better as synonymous with deserving, you need posts that have literally a complete lack of any indication things won't get better for you, I understand how your mind can spiral when you see such things. segmenting our communities further for ultra specficity isn't an answer though, that's isolating - really humans need each other. basically, liking twinks is not accepted just because fat guys are generally viewed as gross by society, so is any gay sex, that's all. whether you like either, we still all like dudes, we shouldn't split.

@mirrorfates asked: do jade, azul and floyd rn
Tumblr media
JADE/LEECH
How I feel about this character
dunno if it's obvious- but i absolutely adore jade. he's quickly become my favorite character in twst. and my favorite muse i've written in a very long time. there is something i really love about characters like him. he's complex, two faced and manipulative. but still has a charm that makes him deceptively wholesome, friendly and inviting. best of all, people assume a lot about him, and he rarely goes out of his way to correct them. if other's assumptions are wrong( and they often times are )it's not his problem. they get to deal with the consequences. and don't even get me started on the more terrifying aspects of his character. if given the opportunity i really could talk about this eel for HOURS...
All the people I ship romantically with this character
mmmm...i don't have a lot for him tbh. he's a romantic character, but he isn't really the best for a healthy relationship. that said, jade/azul is my #1 hands down, the two of them absolutely manipulate each other, but usually to the others benefit. there's also the fact that...they've known one another since grade school( the equivalent anyway ). i have a lot of thoughts and ideas on these two actually. the kind of thing that deserves it's own post. which........i've sworn to write in the past ik ik.
a few though that i've been introduced to and enjoy-- are jade/riddle, jade/idia, and jade/yuu. each have very unique dynamics, and ofc with jade being jade...well.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
rook and jade are actually...no joke, one of my favorites here. they're both really really weird, and as i've discussed before...have really opposite mentalities. and these can clash in...surprisingly positive ways. it may seem like a stretch, but rook being a hunter, i feel they could easily connect over the outdoors. they really could be besties guys-- and they'd stay besties well past NRC.
sebek and jade too-- a bit more antagonistic, but their interactions during harveston made me so happy. they'd easily bond over food, i just know it.
honestly...the list here is pretty long. jade might be suspicious, but he has a lot of people who might consider him a friend...
My unpopular opinion about this character
IDK if it's unpopular really, but i have voiced my opinion about the fandom's general interpretation of his character. and the idea he could ever be considered yan/dere makes me laugh rlly hard. like no, of any character you could pick to fall into that trope jade ought to be the last.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
let jade drown someone. i wanna see it happen.
AZUL/ASHENGROTTO
How I feel about this character
azul is, just like the twins, very precious to me. funny enough, growing up the little mermaid was my absolute favorite movie. and ursula was my favorite character. so when i saw azul i was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then i saw the twins and i was so excited! as soon as i finished chapter three my fate was SEALED! he also has a very relatable story for me: i was bullied a lot too growing up. granted, i don't have magic to curse people with....and im not an octopus( bummer ik ). but still, his character rlly resonates with me as sb who grew up dealing with hurtful classmates. All the people I ship romantically with this character as i said in the prev one jade/azul is my favorite!!
and i doooo....like some of the others i've seen. but i haven't really looked into dynamics there. as i...don't write the muses LOL. My non-romantic OTP for this character
i mean azul and the tweels in general.......pretty obvious. like i could give you a LOT of reasons why the friendship they have is...actually very good.
others i like are jamil, malleus, vil, and of course-- yuu. My unpopular opinion about this character
he's actually one of the character i haven't really disagreed with people on. i like him as is. i have thoughts, headcanons, opinions-- but nothing unpopular... One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
i want to see azul grow one his octopus legs back ...
FLOYD/LEECH
How I feel about this character i love him just as much as i love jade tbh. he's super fun, unpredictable, and very complimentary to his brother's more subdued personality. despite his capricious nature, and unsettling demeanor...floyd is very easy going. he can be lighthearted without being overly goofy. it's so hard to nail down characters like that-- but i feel like they did a good job here. All the people I ship romantically with this character
floyd/yuu is my favorite LOL, it's just cute!! that's all! silly little shrimpy, goes to see his bball games, and goes swimming w/ him. i think despite a rocky start, and with his general demeanor and behavior-- floyd can be a surprisingly good motivator for yuu to take it easy. yanno, to not sweat the small things.
another i've seen that i haven't really dove into? floyd/riddle. i can see the appeal there, but im weird ig. and don't really dive deep into ships for characters i don't write-- or plan on writing hgfjdhgjhf. My non-romantic OTP for this character
dawg, if floyd tried he could probably be friends with most people. he's just not as inclined to be fake...the way his brother is. capricious as he is, im sure maintaining long standing friendships is a challenge-- but well worth it.
i LOOOOOOOOOVE the basket ball club trio. they're seriously so silly, but it's clear they support and care about one another. i would kill for them fr. My unpopular opinion about this character
i do not think floyd is stupid. i just think he doesn't care, he wouldn't be in octa if he wasn't intelligent, or clever. is that unpopular??? i don't think so. i think most people feel the same way tbh. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
idk actually, my wishes and dreams for floyd's character have been fulfilled...i just wanted him to score a slam dunk and i got that.
GIVE ME A CHARACTER...

hey wanted to give some anonymous insight on this post (https://www.tumblr.com/recycled-cotton-knit/745638224667557888/can-you-explain-more-on-the-kink-friendly-part-of?source=share) and specifically "But what about people who like inflicting pain on others? I'm unsure. I don't think they are evil or psychopaths, and depending on how much pain they actually want to inflict it could be completely fine to me or an absolute red flag (for example I've seen women post pictures of their body after BDSM sessions and they look like victims of a car crash)."
however delete this if hearing abt self-inflicted pain or sexual encounters or adult/teenager stuff is distressing bc that's basically the whole thing
I won't go into a bunch of details, but when I was 14 I was searching for spaces to vent about SH, and went on omegle and put sh in the tags/interests thing to find fellow struggling ppl, and it was unfortunately overrun with (primarily adult) men who got off on this. over the next 2ish yrs I probably cut myself on omegle and then after getting banned, on discord for like 100+ (? maybe more, it was a lot) men. imo thats a lottttt but i do know in the grand scheme of yhings its a small sample. I also understand that this is different than two consenting adults, and I recognize that, and while many of them DID get off on the fact that i was young, what ultimately fueled their erections was my PAIN. like my naked young body was not enough, it was my blood, cuts, scarred skin that made them cum. they encouraged me to go deeper, and you'd think with this being behind a screen, it would be like as safe as possible (like no one forced me to do anything, I could literally just turn off my phone), but I think my experience says something to "safe words" and the ability to opt out once started. there was no threat of physical force, I could block anyone I wanted, and OFTEN times I desperately wanted to stop doing it to myself in the moment, i was still unable. pressure is immense, but more so its the fact that they saw someone who was okay w being cut and took advantage of that. if someone is voluntarily harming themselves OR voluntarily having someone else harm them, it's not an opportunity to take advantage of their preferences to satisfy their own sexual need (EVEN if the other person got off sexually to being in pain.)
additionally, some guys didn't want to see the blood and just wanted me to make bruises on myself, or hit/slap myself. I feel no differently to them than I do the ones who wanted blood.
orgasms are a powerful conditioning tool and brains are very maleable, and when men repeatedly engage in behavior that strengthens the connection between pain and arousal, that affects them outside the bedroom. I'm positive you know the statistics about abused women. when cnc/ageplay/sm is a replication of REAL violence, it's immediately stepped out of the bedroom and into the real world. people's kinks do not exist in a vacuum and can and are impacted by the real world. most cnc "perpetrators" are male, and most real life rapists are male. most cnc "victims" are female, and most real life rape victims are female. people's sex lives are influenced by our culture and real life.
anyway, there's more to be said, and ik the men I interacted w are worse bc they were okay w seeing an underage girl, but I think when the root of it is attraction to pain, I see those people as havinv done something very evil outside of my (previous) age. maybe not psychopaths, I think many of them were capable of empathy/remorse, but reinforcing inflicting pain to their sexual pleasure is cruel. if a woman were being hit/cut NOT for sexual reasons, and she said she wanted ut, and the man wanted to do it, we'd all be like "somethings not right here! why does he want to hit her? why does she want to be hit?" but for some reason labeling it kink changes that :( the root is pleasure from others pain, and that shoukd never be rewarded w pleasure or legitimized.
ik this is anecdotal, but maybe can give you some perspective at least to the SM part.
I appreciate the insight and I'm so, so sorry you went through that. You didn't deserve that, not at all ❤️ I hope you are in a better place now.
Please don't take this as me invalidating your experience, that's not my intention at all, but I do believe it's possible for most people who are into light SM to have no actual consequences (in the sense of, not harming anyone outside the bedroom). Of course this would depend on the people and the situation. I do acknowledge that I'm not an expert and I'm not qualified to talk about this, so it's only my personal opinion. I know many people on radblr disagree.
Thank you for sharing, Anon, and again, I'm so incredibly sorry that happened to you. Don't hesitate to ask me any other questions, and if you ever need to talk you can DM me (you can make a throwaway account if you don't want to share your actual account) ❤️❤️

Hello! I’ve been following you for a while now and honestly your blog is like the one I check everyday bc I live for your writing. But I think I saw a while back that you posted on wattpad when you first started writing. I’ve been thinking about posting fanfics and headcanons etc but I’m a scared little bitch. Did you ever have that feeling when you first started posting and how did you overcome it?
hiii, yeah that’s right; i first started posting on wattpad a couple years back when i also started writing fic more seriously back during the pandemic.
to be completely honest with you, i think i wasn’t all that scared about posting it. i just clicked the button and was more pleasantly nervous than anything else cos it was kinda thrilling to put your work out there. i didn’t have a lot of expectations that any sort of interaction would happen ofc (so i couldn’t even be disappointed), but that didn’t stop me from continuing to send my stuff out into the ether.
i think that one of the parts about not having that kind of fear was that i just wanted to write for myself first; the fact that i was posting what i wrote was just a bonus for other people — it was secondary. i wrote what i wanted and if i liked it, that was what mattered. (it’s why i deleted most of my earlier one-shots from there, i just didn’t like em anymore hahahh)
i get that your stories are your babies and that they sometimes feel like you’re exposing a piece of yourself with them, but what i’m trying to say is that if you wanna risk it, sometimes you just gotta let them run around even if they might fall and hurt themselves in the process lol. try not to overthink it if you decide to post your work (easier said than done, ik) and just keep doing it for you first. fanfiction is supposed to be fun, not stressful.
and yeah, sometimes hurtful comments and anon hate happen, sure. it sucks. but the internet is so much more than that and it’s vast; i am positive there is space in it for your stories as well and that there are people who will eat that shit right up!!
good luck <3
