Okay so I've been wanting to tell you that you're literally my favourite twst artist 😭🩷
So my question is, how do you manage to come up with these funny comics? CUZ I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
(P.s: Lovin' the art style ✨)
oh geeze, thanks! 💚💚💚 I'm really glad people enjoy my stupid sense of humor; mostly I just draw things to make myself laugh, and if it makes other people laugh too, then bonus points! usually it's just one joke or mental image that gets stuck in my head (every time I saw Fellow spin his cane, all I could think about was him go-go-gadgeting away on it...) and in my quest to justify it, it picks up other jokes and bits along the way and usually doesn't even end up as the main focus anymore. entire narrative arcs have spun out just so I could use a single bad pun in a throwaway line. this is a terrible way to explain it but I'm not sure how else to put it into words!
and sometimes it's just "weird things my sister has said that I make fun of her for"

You know what's interesting to me? For all people keep claiming at every juncture that perhaps Bells Hells will come around on the gods and see the harm they do (which, as discussed extensively, is, half the time, simply not intervening) not only have they never done so, but also they never quite cross the line into saying the party should join the Ruby Vanguard or aid them - and indeed, they defend against it - so what does this achieve? It feels like they're asking for a story in which the party stands idly by, which isn't much of a story nor, if I may connect this briefly to the real world, a political stance anyone should be proud of.
That's honestly the frustration with the gods and the "what if the Vanguard has a point" conversations in-game. What do we do then? Do we allow the organization that will murder anyone for pretty much any reason that loosely ties into their goals run rampant? The group that (perhaps unwittingly, but then again, Otohan's blades had that poison) disrupted magic world-wide, and caused people who had the misfortune to live at nexus points to be teleported (most, as commoners, without means of return). While also fomenting worldwide unrest?
Those were the arguments before the trip to Ruidus; with the reveal of the Vanguard's goals to invade Exandria, the situation becomes even more dire. Do you let the Imperium take over the planet?
And do the arguments against the gods even hold up? If Ludinus is so angry at them for the Calamity, what does it say that he destroyed Western Wildemount's first post-Calamity society for entirely selfish means? (What does it say about the validity of vengeance as a motivator?) What does it say that Laudna told Imogen she could always just live in a cottage quietly without issue before the solstice even happened? (Would this still be true if the Imperium controls the world?) What does it say that when faced with a furious, grieving party and the daughter she keeps telling herself was her reason for all of this, Liliana can't provide an answer to the question of what the gods have done other than that their followers will retaliate...for, you know, the Vanguard's endless list of murders. (That is how the Vanguard and Imperium tend to think, huh? "How dare your face get in the way of my boot; how dare you hit me back when I strike you.") She can't even provide a positive answer - why is Predathos better - other than "I feel it", even though Imogen and Fearne know firsthand that Predathos can provide artificial feelings of elation. Given all the harm Ludinus has done in pursuit, why isn't the conclusion "the gods should have crashed Aeor in such a way that the tech was unrecoverable?"
Even as early as the first real discussion on what the party should do, the fandom always stopped short of saying "no, Imogen's right, they should join up with the people who killed half the party," it was always "no, she didn't really mean it, she just was trying to connect with her mother." Well, she's connected with her mother, and at this point the party doesn't even care about the gods particularly (their only divinely-connected party member having died to prevent the Vanguard from killing all of them). So they will stop the Vanguard; as Ashton says, the means are unforgiveable. As Laudna says, it's not safe to bet on Predathos's apathy. As Imogen says, she's done running; the voice that she used to think of as a lifeline belongs to someone she doesn't trust. So I guess my question is: if they're stopping the people who are trying to kill the gods (and defense of the gods isn't remotely their personal motivation)...do you think the next phase of the campaign is Bells Hells personally killing the gods? Reconstructing the Aeor tech and hoping none of their allies notice? How does this end? Does your ideology ever get enacted? Or is this entirely moot and pointless and the story ends with Bells Hells saying "well, I'm really glad we stopped the people who [insert list of Vanguard atrocities from above]; none of us follow the gods or plan to, but honestly, the status quo we return to is preferable to whatever nightmare Ludinus had concocted in his violent quest for power and revenge"?

i think the most annoying part of amatonormativity is that not only do you NEED to feel love, and not only is there an order your relationships must follow (romantic/sexual partnership above all, then family, then friends) but the fact that other people HAVE to be your top priority. like even if you feel all kinds of attraction, if you dare put anything else above your relationships they consider you evil. god forbid you enjoy your hobbies more than being around your friends even though how much you care about something is completely outside of your control. it's the worst.

The sentences, "Mike kept El at his house because he didn't want her getting murdered and he's a good kid," and, "Mike kept El at his house because he thought she could help him find Will," are both correct.
Mike showing El basic human decency by letting (what he believed to be) a helpless young girl stay at his home is one of the biggest proofs of the heteronormativity shown in ST, as both Lucas and Nancy believed that Mike (boy) being a kind human to El (girl) means that he's in love.
BUT
It's also very clear that one of the reasons he let her stay was so she could help find Will. This doesn't erase the fact that he let her stay, or that he cares about El, it only points out the obvious fact that Will was a large piece in this equation.

Alot of people see bi han as the jealous/possesive type what's your thoughts on that?
Bi-Han is not the jealous/possesive type
I'm so glad you asked because this is another popular mischaracterization of him that I just don't understand.
As grandmaster of his clan, Bi-Han has a reputation to uphold. He knows that and he wouldn't take the risk of dating someone he can't trust to be absolutely loyal to him as it could make him lose the respect of his fellow Lin Kuei if his partner ended up cheating on him/leaving him for someone else. However, that would not make him overly jealous, just more hesitant to enter a relationship. Bi-Han would never date someone he doesn't fully trust. Therefore, if the relationship is already established, it means he already knows that his partner is trustworthy and that there's no need for jealousy.
In fact, I feel like Bi-Han would hate jealousy. After all, there are plenty of women in the Lin Kuei and it would be exhausting for him to deal with a significant other who would get jealous every time they see him interact with one of them. Cyrax, for example, seems to be a close friend or at the very least a trusted advisor of his. Bi-Han is also allies with Nitara. He would be interacting with other women quite often and he would expect his partner to have faith in him. In return, he would have faith in them, too.
Bi-Han wouldn't mind it to see his partner interact, spend time or be friends with other men either. Unless there's a solid reason for him to get jealous, he wouldn't care much about who his significant other spends their time with.
Besides that, Bi-Han is a very confident and arrogant man. Let's face it, he would probably find it hard to believe that his partner could even want anyone else when they already have him. Insecurity often manifests as jealousy and Bi-Han is certainly not the insecure type.
I also don't see him being possesive. All that edgy "You're mine." wattpad nonsense that can often be found in reader insert fics really doesn't fit him. It's just so out of character for Bi-Han to act in that way. This man thinks very highly of himself. He wouldn't waste his time trying to convince anyone they belong to him. If they can't see it for themselves, it's their loss, not his. Someone worthy of his affection will value and cherish their bond with him. Again, possesiveness screams of insecurity and that's just the opposite of what Bi-Han is. He would be fairly casual as a partner because he knows he doesn't have competition.
Sorry, this turned out much longer than I thought it would, but I hope it answers your question!

I guess it’s all of a sudden become sacrilege to say this, but the PC port of 999 is a perfectly acceptable way to play the game and absolutely necessary if we want this game to remain accessible. Why are we trying to gatekeep this game we supposedly love away from any newcomers who can’t shell out for a vintage DS copy? The changes take away flavor, sure, but IMO the story is strong enough to stand without the dual screen gimmick.

By the way, do you believe Eddy's mistreatment of Edd and Ed is, in some level, his confused, mistaken way of showing affection for them? I mean, we know he follows Bro a lot, believes he loves him and makes everything for his well (''maybe I was a little tough... but that's how my brother taught me'') and this reflects on his treatement of his friends... Essentially Eddy sees Edd and Ed as his surrogate brothers (sometimes being protective of them and all), but he also do has a utterly twisted vision of how brothers act and has no idea of how showing love in a healthy way, which not involves abuse?
i think that's a valid theory! especially with ed since he's sort of the "big" brother he SHOULD have had. i'm not really sure what i think though. we know violence was normalized for eddy from a very young age, and i think it's kinda just something he defaults to without giving it much thought. it's the most effective way to get his point across, or get people to do what he wants - it always worked on him at least. i also imagine eddy is the type that doesn't realize how forceful he's actually being until someone tells him. "c'mon, i didn't even hit you THAT hard ya big baby." so i don't necessarily think he's always trying to cause grave bodily harm, but i don't know if i'd say it's affectionate? it could be! i don't know enough about that kind of thing to really theorize.
i gotta ask the expert here, @gettingfrilly, who can undoubtedly provide a better analysis of it, if/when they have the time. they touched on the way eddy views violence in their post about eddy + empathy which i've linked previously. i should probably just link their analyses in my pinned post at this point lol.
