Summary: Bucky is sick, tired, slightly out of it, and very adorable when he's sick. Also... he's a bit of a drama queen.

A/N: wow it has been a LONG time since i've written any reader insert and an even longer time since i wrote a request. ive been going through a time where i havent been active on tumblr but i hope that can stop since ive been wanting to write more!

Warnings: sickness, magic mention ig, and i think thats it

Bucky sneezes, his whole body seeming to tense and release quickly as he whines and fals back into bed. He looks up at you pathetically, his face flushed and his eyes half closed. He sighs and reaches out his hand for you, the metal gleaming slightly with the light around the room. You smile softly and walk forward, sitting on the edge of the bed.

“Your boots are still on,” You say, looking down at the end of the bed, seeing them still tightly tied on his feet. Bucky grunts, closes his eyes, and sighs.

“Buck, come on,” You say softly, standing up and walking to the end of the bed. You untie his shoes and Bucky whines. “Big baby.” You tease, successfully getting his boots off.

“I’m dying, maybe show some respect,” Bucky says, bringing his hands up to rub at his sore eyes.

“You’re not dying, you have a cold,” You say, softly grabbing a soft sweater and sweatpants for him. You walk over, grab his hands, and pull him up into a sitting position. He sighs and looks up at you with a little pout.

“I’ve died before, this is what it felt like,” He argues.

“You have not!” You laugh, “How would you be here right now?”

“Good question, I’m a magician.” He says with a completely straight face. You raise an eyebrow at him and his lips break into a small smile, “Alright, alright, the actual trick is that I'm a Wizard.”

“Alright, Mr. Wizard,” You laugh, pulling off Bucky’s shirt and softly pulling the sweater over his head. "Lay back."

"I can put on the pants myself," Bucky says playfully.

"Oh, but two seconds ago you were all woe is me," You joke, but throw the pants at his face. "I'm gonna go grab you water, alright?"

"Alright, Y/N/N," Bucky says and you leave the room.

You come back with a bottle of water to a sleeping Bucky, the pants you had given him laying on the floor next to the bed. The covers aren't even over top of him. You smile softly and walk over, putting the water on the nightstand. You pull the covers from under him and put them over him. You get ready for bed and slip yourself under the covers.

"Night, Mr. Wizard."

i know i havent been active in the last couple of days. i got a call on monday from my dad saying that my grandad who was in hospital was dying. later that day he did pass. i havent been home in 3 days, so i havent been near my laptop, and ive been too busy to even think about tumblr. in saying that, i'm taking time off here until further notice. i need to get therapy sorted and shit. once ive worked through things and im feeling more like myself, i'll come back. im sure some of you will message me saying sorry for my loss, but its okay. its what he wanted. he was 95 and had no quality of life left. he stayed home all day sitting in his chair. he wanted this. he was ready to go. i like to think of it like hes finally free. we've also been preparing ourselves for this for years. there'd been plenty of times we were sure he wasn't gonna make it out of the hospital alive. if anyone wants to know how i am, im okay, i think. im just worried about my nana. they were married 70+ years. but thats my update so. also all threads will stay, but will be on hold until i get back.

Omg, the “Blueberry Diaries” 😍 Sign me up, I love this show alreadyyy !!

Flying out to Singapore just to see them perform would’ve been such a fun experience I’m sure, but at the same time, very expensive and maybe even scary if you went alone … Crossing my fingers in hope that one day tho, Enhypen will show some love to Jake Land and it’s residing engenes 🫶

But no, I’ve actually never been to one of their concerts before, and as much as I’d love to go one day, my mom is SO ANTI kpop to the point that if she even knew that I listened to their music, she’d take my phone away again 😭 Like ong, she literally had a panic attack when she saw pictures of Hyunjin & Niki in my gallery, but that’s a story for another day … 🍵

And omg, which state did you visit (if you don’t mind sharing) …. You also just reminded me of my childhood fascination with Australia… I don’t know why, but I’ve always wanted to visit there as a kid, and even more NOW as an adult knowing that so many of my favorites idols are from there :’3

About the ff thing tho, I honestly feel like most of them would be flattered by it while others would just find it flat out weird 😭 Sometimes, I get the feeling that Enhypen knows abt ppl writing stuff for them, mostly bc it just seems like they’re always in on our inside jokes and strange engene ways 🫠

im trying not to be on here unless im actively in the mood to post or scroll my bad. i went to my grandmas today. that was fine. i didnt really have weed all day and my vape kept dying and my grandma lives an hr away so the lack of spotify hurted but i got thru it. and she made flautas so that was A+. i miss my bf. my moms bf got my resume printed for my aquarium interview tomorrow. thats gonna be...a lot to take on if i get it, both good and bad. if i even get an offer. but itd be worth it to get to go to the aquarium every day. i already had a long commute job. i need to make money. i wanna go back to school so i can do other shit at this same aquarium and always have wanted to. shits hard. my mom mentioned me moving out again today and said its bc my bf makes enough money. whatever i guess. me and him had an argument about that today bc his money just seems to be flying out lately and i looked at his bank account and its all those damn payday apps. they just get ppl sucked in a cycle. my brothers been a little cunt lately. he doesnt want me anywhere near him and then comes and uses all my vapes. cant do shit bc he just starts being a prick if i say no 80% of the time and no one does shit about it. whatever hes leaving soon. ive been going thru my spotify and deleting old shit. i wanna keep everything i love. i skip too much in my library, constantly. and i need to find new music. i wish i could text my bf. we went to the mall to pick up my phone like 10 min before i closed (bc i had to go to the grandmas and they werent finished before i left) and for some reason they were shut up already :( its ok. i like using tumblr on here. i tag a lot more. sorry about whatever this is and it has no point and i havent smoked all day and came home and opened up a new cart bc edwin dropped it off while i was gone (feel bad for being mad he didnt even get the money for it or the last yet and was still nice).

Hey so I'm an anon who pops in sometime. I had no idea you were feeling this way. I'm a student rn so I have to pic my way through your works really slow, but I want you to know I'm here! I've been dying to read the minho fic you posted a whole back and it's new sequel bc hes my bias and we need more good minho fics. I love your world building, by the way. Like a ton. You helped my find a missing fic on here a while ago (it turned out to be eye of heaven) I loved it. I also got to read candles in the sky a while ago, it was super good too (I want to go back and read it bc jisung has been wrecking but it's been midterms). I like the whole assasin au you did as well. I first found you because of the match girl and you honestly broke my heart 😥 never moved on from that and always live under the hopeful delusion you'll write an alternate ending.

It is clearly my grief talking but still.

I think I've read every single drabble (I try to heart every time) but sometime i come back just to be sure i havent missed any, esp when a bias wrecker comes calling and I want content. Tbh you're really good. Good enough youd never have to write for us for free. But I'm grateful that you do.

I confess, I dont get to engage with your longer works as much as I want to (if you ever wanna do chapters that would be fun bc it gives you a way to find your way back to the spot you left off reading easier 🥺).

But like, your descriptions are super good, your world building is awesome. I I'm too take the time really READ it not just skim it.

But, I'm sorry you havent felt appreciated bc honestly you're more engaging to me than a lot of published novelists. If you dont want to write because its not bringing you enjoyment or positive feedback, I understand. But you deservse to at least know how amazing and talented you are. I see other blogs talk about you and tag you a ton. But even so, to be honest I feel like the best writers on here often get overlooked you among them. So I understand, but please know: you are amazingly talented. I'll honestly be really sad if you go, but we arent entitled to your hard work and effort, and I get that. And know if you ever write original fiction I'd be down for it.

Anyway. Sorry this was long. And sorry I havent gotten to see some of your longer works yet but I at least want you to know u see them, and I plan too. I know that's not a big consolation but I do love your writing and I want to partake of it when I can actually truly read it. Thank you for your time and energy, and sorry if this is ramble but its 3am here but I couldnt not adress this.

let me start by saying that I’m happy to know you’ve enjoyed several pieces of my work, including my blurbs. reading this yesterday helped me a lot 💕 and don’t worry, I’ll probably never leave as long as I’m in my right mind...

I know I don’t post as often as I used to a year ago, and my content has changed a little over the time, so I’m grateful that all of you are still here. don’t misunderstand me, it’s not that I don’t appreciate the humble audience I’ve attracted, it’s that I’m baffled at the counter effect of their growth. with the uncertainty of the tumblr tags, we writers solely depend on our followers to share our work. if neither tumblr nor our readers want to cooperate with us then expect that we remain active and happy, then we’re all set for doom.

there are solutions if you look for them. one can always create a side blog to dedicate for their different interests, in regards to the situation with your friends. a lot of people do that, and you could try it too if you’d like! ✨

Oooh, I do believe in magic to an extent. It all comes down to what you think magic is. To me, magic is like an aura that attracts a person to another or a group of people to another group. Like in the sense, "she's super magical." If that makes sense. If voodoo includes in magic, then yes 💀🤚🏾 I do believe in magic.

72. You're at the doctor's office and she informed you that you have approximately one month to live. A) do you tell anyone/everyone you're going to die? B) What do you do with your remaining days? C) Would you be afraid?

Vv PLEASE-

A) I would only tell a few people cause a lot of people have a tendency to be fake to others when something traumatic happens or if they want something in return. If I was dying and had one month to live, I'd tell my family and close friends and lowkey, I'd tell Tumblr so they'd know what happened if I ever stopped posting.

B) Finish the book I have planned, to all the things I havent done in regards to food, cooking, activities. I'd spend as much time with my family and enjoy every aspect of life like it was any other day

C) No? On one end, everything wouldn't be hitting me until my last moments. I'd always think "this isn't gonna happen." Until the final moments. Everything will feel surreal so I wouldn't be afraid during that month, I'd cry at the thought of leaving my family but I wouldn't be scared. On another end, I've been raised that death is something you shouldn't be afraid off and that life goes on beyond your years in the physical world and its only the beginning. Would I accept death with open arms? No. But it's more like "do what you gotta do." Type thing
