13. favorite writing song/artist/album of this year?

My favourite songs of the year are Livin' for that by Lil Pitchy and OMG What's happening by Ava Max (Lets not forget Con Calma by Daddy Yankee feat. Katy Perry 😍😍), artists of the year are Ava Max and Demi Lovato and I havent ever listened to an entire album...ever so I wont talk about that 😅😅

And I loved the description of her as a 'walking, talking fantasy.' ;) The drawing and note-passing, how adorable! And yay, she agreed to the date! Follow-up! Well, I received a lot of long, amazing reviews on Out of the darkness, into the light. It was something that pushed me further into my writing mania seeing this fic reach 500 hits in only a few hours! It was also my first time writing something so angsty I couldnt read it over all at once and begged my beta to do it instead 😅😅

Apart from these, @jhsgf82's reviews on her birthday gift fic made me so so happy, it was totally worth all the time I spent stressing on writing it for her! (cant put them here because, spoilers haha. LOVE YOU MANDYY!!!)

Comments like these really keep me motivated, and even though the fandom has definitely dwindled I still have tons of drafts that I can edit and get posted. I’ll see if I can come up with an epilogue for this one too, I can imagine our over adventurous couple may have had at least one unexpected pregnancy along the way :)

23. fics you wanted to write but didn’t?

I wanted to write a lot of smutty fics but as you can see, I only now wrote explicit smut, the one I have been meaning to write in nearly everything that came to mind, every kink I have. Its a little disheartening but now that I am slowly gaining confidence in my smut abilities (due to my latest Everlark PWP-ish two-shot), I hope to write a shitton of smutty fics/smut in fics and I am so very excited!

The one thing that magnus has is hope it's just amazing cause after years and decades of watching his hopes smash he still believes and it's so beautiful. We all struggle with hope, I feel so hopeless sometimes it hurts but then i think of magnus idk I feel these series of emotions where am just inspired jealous and like bruh wow hope i mean okay maybe am not making sense but hope is the strongest thing,or as president snow from thg u havent read said "hope is the only thing stronger than fear"

I’ve only been alive for a couple of decades and sometimes it’s impossible to be hopeful. I cannot imagine how strong someone must be to have hope and believe in a better future even after centuries of pain.

He really is the strongest and bravest. But the best part is that Magnus shares his hope with others - even those he barely knew.

He gave hope to Will. He gave hope to Raphael. He gave hope to so many people.

Magnus Bane is truly a beacon of hope (and glitter) in the shadow world.

PS - All of this and he called Alec his ‘hope past hope’ 😭😭😭

J: What’s your favorite fanfic trope? Have you written it? hi so the first thing you need to know about me is that i lose my goddamn MIND over fake dating and soulmates. like. you present me a situation in which there is either 1. fake dating 2. a tangible soulmate system i will be out of my gourd instantly. i have written SO MUCH fake dating and fake marriage in my days despite most of it never really seeing the sunlight and i started working on two soulmate fics for different things but unfortunately, neither of em got past the plotting stages bc i. switched hyperfixations midway through;;;;;

i guess i could recycle the idea for my current interests tho,,, that might be rad

M: What’s the weirdest AU scenario you’ve ever come up with? Did it turn into a story? yeah actually! i sketched out a oneshot au (the game not the single chapter story) based off a game nobody’s heard of called Soma Spirits!! it’s really cool and the whole idea behind it is that everyone has two halves, a constantly happy and impulsive side and also an apathetic and joyless side and since the world of oneshot is canonically(???) flat i was like ‘what if.........the top side of the world disc was like. happy and full of phosphor and good and the underside of it was like.... the underworld.... full of sad people.... and what if people could like... talk and hang out with their inverses... wouldn’t that be rad as hell...

supernatural (the show) also got tossed in there w some demon/fae lore and i think i implemented a few h*mestuck things but that’s not exactly the focus. i never wrote a fanfic involving that au (called splitshot bc i cant name things) but i do have a 20 paged google doc that has all the information about the world, its changes, character changes, important ocs i was going to implement, how magic/phosphor works, etc that i will gladly share with any willing hands bc i do ultimately want SOMEONE to do something w the idea, even if it isnt like. me

R: Which writers (fanfic or otherwise) do you consider the biggest influence on you and your writing? tbh? i have No Fucking Idea where my writing style came from AT ALL bc i havent actually like. been able to sit down and read a novel for like.........years. like yeah i recently read thg and it went well but trying to pick up the second and third books? trying to read some books i bought recently? trying to even like. sit down and read a long tumblr post? hasnt worked out in the least!

my favourite books when i was like. growing up and able to read lol were fablehaven, eragon, the magic thief (the sarah prineas one not the other million books named that) and hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy and i was p much raised on video games if that like. helps/answers the question. im 19 and i never learned how to read

thanks babe! i’m lucky enough that i’m safe, and i hope you are too!

i love answering hp fic questions (or hp questions in general) but i don’t really have any intention of writing hunger games fic. i’ve only written for a handful of fandoms/pairings in my life—i can literally count them on one hand lol—and as ive been slowly honing my craft i plan on shifting focus to original fiction. i’ll probably keep writing drarry fics even after i finish the one i’m currently working on, bc i enjoy it and hp is a major hyperfixation of mine and all that, but i would honestly be surprised if i wrote for any other pairings at this point (wolfstar would be the possible exception, but i havent written for them in a few years at least so id be surprised if i end up wanting to again in the future), let alone for other shows/movies/books/etc

plus re: thg specifically, ive only read the series twice (tho ive seen the movies way more times) and definitely dont know the characters or world enough to feel confident writing them, and unfortunately i don’t have enough interest/motivation to reach that point

but like i said im open to answering hp questions literally whenever! i get really excited when people are interested in my thoughts or opinions in general, but i especially love talking about hp! and it’s hard to do these days bc 99% of the other people talking about hp on the internet are absolutely bananas and have ruined it for the rest of us lksdjflksjdfs so yes genuinely please ask me hp questions! i might not answer right away but i WILL answer—plus a lot of the time the questions end up inadvertently helping me conceptualize something in my fic which is always nice
