The late afternoon was stuffy, the air laden with moisture, a heavy downpour yet to hit the ground. It was a possibility threatening to happen overnight, when the temperature in the Hollowed Forest would drop a considerable few degrees lower than in the town, where pavement and taller concrete buildings kept the microclimate of the more heavily populated area all sung and protected from the winds and evening chill. That, however, didn’t stop a considerable number of the pack from gathering at their camp area to greet the full moon that night.

Coming either alone, in groups, with family, friends or other company, the majority of today’s confirmed attendance was pretty much set and complete, it being unlikely that there would be any late-comers. After all, it was merely a couple of hours before the full moon would be visible in the sky and do its mystical magic on all lycanthropes around the world.

Ryden was, naturally, present - going around the camp to greet familiar and new faces alike and just affirm his own appearance and availability on the day, for whatever it might be needed. Socializing with the pack like this was something he had some trouble with at first, but the natural extrovert in him who was subdued and toned down over the years due to circumstances, necessity and overall disappointments he’d gone through in life had quickly picked up on the gist of things and adapted to the role he had to play as the leader of the pack. He was still learning, still correcting his own previously learned behavior over the years which made him into a lone wolf who he was not supposed to be anymore, not at least for the pack’s sake if not for his own.

An ambivert would be a better term to describe him now, the alpha easily switching between his two faces when needed, ever flexible and adaptable when he had a duty to perform or people who relied on his quick wit and abilities for whatever reason. He made sure that everything was spick and span before he had his own wolf be influenced by the moonbeams soon to shine down upon them through the thick boughs above, transforming them from humans to wolves.

Stopped by a few idle friends and their companions, he engaged into animated conversation with them, explaining to a couple of human visitors how to behave once the pack ran into the forest to basically ‘wolf out’ and let loose, giving a few pointers, safety tips and warnings, which were undoubtedly already explained to them multiple times but Ryden had all the patience to do it again, from his own mouth, which ought to carry some weight considering who he was within the pack. He maintained a good balance of seriousness and light-heartedness, not being too intimidating with his warnings but still demanding attention when he made them. He had a knack for that - making people feel both safe and content, yet still able to capture their attention enough to make his words stick and carry enough importance that one would think twice before disregarding them.

As the random conversation was slowly brought to a close, Ryden’s gaze wandered, falling onto a face that was not quite as familiar as most around him. Although some distance away, he could still follow the person’s movements, and curiously observed, because she sort of stuck out. However, he wasn’t sure if it was just him overthinking or his instincts were right, as per usual - either way, something about this she-wolf caught his attention and he looked on to find out what it exactly was.

this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)

the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)

all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)

#legend of zelda #loz #twilight princess #loz tp #i'm still reeling that someone sent me an ask about this one.. that they took the time to find my tumblr and tell me they liked it #it really meant a lot; thank you to anyone that stops to leave comments like that. they make me happy #but yeah! here's the usual symbolism ramble:#i thought it'd be cool to have the 'spirits' flowing one way and the cats walking through them the other way #to kinda show the difference in life inhabiting the village in the past and present #link's face is covered because impaz was just waiting for 'the hero' so his clothes are what matters; not his face #and it (hopefully) gives a surreal and intangible sense to 'the hero' she could only hope would actually show up #you can feel free to interpret the glowy blue sheikah as ghosts or just as memories of the past! i couldn't decide either way #the one on the bottom left is oot impa since she's implied to be the village founder. so i guess she would be a ghost actually?#fan art #my art #project stuff #and ahhh the book-- everyone's stuff is so beautiful!!#especially the writing. some of the fics made me really tear up and some were so fun and clever. i really love them #a lot of them captured the sheer burden of the role of the sheikah; all of the time and grief and doubt #i know i always say this stuff about every project but. the people i get to work with in these are truly so skilled every time
