PERSONALLY, I think it's either James Dean or Ricky Nelson. I think the more realistic of the two options is Ricky Nelson, though. I'd love for it to have been James Dean just because a lot of people compare Heath as Ennis to James Dean as Jett Rink in Giant. I'm not so sure if that's based on the performance they give, or if it's based purely on their aesthetics alone, but like. Heath really did have that James Dean cool down as Ennis (if only a slighttt bit more awkward). And I mean...c'mon, look at this picture and tell me that Jack wouldn't, at least for a moment, see Ennis standing outside of Aguirre's office and think immediately of his boyhood crush

No wonder Jack was pulling at any excuse to eye him up lol!!

It appears that i accidentally read through the entire Wikipedia article about salami, just because i wondered what salami would be called if I'd didn't had the little fat spots in it.

Fun fact= salami comes from the Italian word Salames (the plural of salame) which means salt meat!

And some people use white or red wine to season it!

And in a specific variant they use rum!

Also, to my surprise, Peperoni isn't the name of a salami. It's the name of a bellpepper which is USED to make a certain kind of salami.

I may just be an idiot tho.

Alright...so since, like, 2017, I've never caught up on AO3 comments. Sometimes I'll make a lot of headway but I always inevitably fall behind again, and the number in my inbox is just so intimidating that I feel like I'll never, ever win, which tends to mean I answer even less than I would if I could instead go "I just need to answer 6 today and I'll be back to zero!"

It's currently just under 3,600, just for reference. Which...well, all-time according to stats page I've had 13,000+ comment threads started on my work, and since some of what's in my inbox is replies to replies, I can safely approximate I've answered about 10,000, or about 3 out of every 4 I've ever received - which really isn't bad, is it??

Anyway the point is I'm slowly coming to accept that this is just. Insurmountable. And I'm starting to seriously consider just wiping everything from before, like, the start of 2022. I haven't written much this year so that SHOULD leave me with a far more manageable number, and once I'm on top of it I think it'll be much easier for me not to fall behind again. If I ever want to, I can always just start going fic by fic and answering anything I haven't previously answered, but without the weight of that thousands number staring me in the face.

And I think basically I'm posting this to get affirmation and reassurance that I'm not a terrible horrible person if I wipe 3,400-or-so comments from my inbox without answering them.

Please give me permission, oh internet hive mind...

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? I'm curious how many times an avarage person (or as close as a tumblr user can get to being one) has been on a plane so tell me

A trip one way counts as 1 time, so if you flew somewhere and then came back (for example to and from a different country on a holiday) then that counts as two trips because you boarded the plane twice. I have decided to do it this way because I have traveled one way by plane and came back by train a few times and I guess some of you probably did that too.

Also! If you can tell me in the tags how many times you traveled by plane and which country you're from I'd be very grateful! I'm curious if there is any difference depending on a size of a country/continent you're from.
