I really loved it I'll be honest

Great length of video - one hour - long enough for ppl who want entertainment to last through the week, and for 1-sit-watch typ'a viewers

Also love that they're doing something new + creative!! Me personally, I love fashion from runway to street fashion - it all interests me so much - so the people who really invested themselves in that video? They were absolutely stunning.

And you know how I love a George Clarkey + ATV guest feature - I feel like George really hit well with this video where he gets to experiment with character which feels quite fitting to his humour - ArthurTV - he's slightly less like that but in a way, he utilised his awkwardness within the "wine 'pon it" segment (will post clips tomorrow.)

I think in the different genres of sidemen videos: Game Shows, Travel, Money-based challenge, creatives - I like creatives most. Creatives and miscellaneous vids where they bring new ideas to the table - like the YLYL (I realise it's a very common concept: but it's not rly on the sidemen channel), THAT was a smash hit video imo.

All in all?

I'd give it a 10/10, I feel like it all really balanced out well.

Only slight qualm?

I love me some BambinoBecky but bloody Hell is she a tough host to watch. I don't know whether producers made the room more silent than it was or people just didn't laugh at much she said - but that was the only unenjoyable watch.

Since her job is to make me get my shit together she didn't let me bring up irrelevant topics until the very end so it was just a brief discussion

She really didn't say anything new I outlined the situation and she said it's clearly not a black and white situation and everyone was partly at fault. initially when I said 18 and 26 she made a face but later she said that the added context was really important (they were both drunk, he had reasons to not ask her age (USA) and so on). She also said I need to make up my own mind 😔

but like I said I was rushing to get the story out in time so I left out things like her getting up and then returning and I also didn't mention the power dynamic debate cause I didn't want her to guess I was talking about youtubers so she is missing a lot of context and I also forgot to mention we're only hearing about this like a year later anyway

I said from the information available to us (I kept telling her we don't actually know everything) I don't believe he had malicious intent and he backed off when told (elevator? If I'm remembering correctly) and she said the only way to learn is by being told (I phrased that bad idk like he can't know her boundaries unless she expresses them yk) and that fact that he backed off proves that. But doesn't change the fact that she was uncomfortable even if it's not completely his fault. She also said he needs to be more aware of how he's coming off to others (which Ik he said or whatever in the vid).

She also said the girl wasn't completely without blame for how this situation was presented to the internet and then blown out of proportion which lead to the next point

I told her she was there with friends and they left without her and she said it's possibly she felt betrayed that her friends left her a situation she was uncomfortable in and is taking out on the best target (for her brain) (as Georg was the one that made her uncomfortable even if he didn't do anything wrong).

But obviously none of us know these people personally and we weren't there and my therapist is missing a lot of information so no one take her word as fact just cause she's a therapist. Honestly I could've spent an entire session debating this but we didn't have time sorry Katie you can pay for your own therapy I'm not attending therapy in your place. I think the difference between carmen & George, and lily & Alex to the other couples like Kelly & max when it comes to social media is that they seem to be on the same page.

George posts Carmen just as much as she posts him, he’s made her clear as his girlfriend in interviews and fan events. They’re a very proper, trynna be that old money aesthetic couple, but it works and they seem very much in love and happy. And while it was shady that Carmen re opened her ig after the promotion to Mercedes, it’s clear she makes her own money and has yet to do anything problematic. I definitely see them marrying.

Alex and lily have been together for nearly 4 years (they starting dating in 2019) so it makes sense why she’s very involved and Alex includes her in that and in the Williams vids they do. It’s obviously his choice, since he’s going helmet promotion with her, talks about her in interviews and posts her loads. However, I do think they know that their relationship brings in good pr and utilise that to their own advantage, that’s fine as long as both agree and understand (which I think they do). And I know people are starting to get annoyed with them (or lily) but I do see them just been happy and in love wanting to share that.

Now this is where Kelly and max differ from the others, max doesn’t include Kelly on his own social media (if that’s his choice or his pr team, idk) but he used to post pics of his ex gf’s and even Kelly. Last year Kelly was on his profile about 4 times, Mother’s Day post, French gp video, a repost of her story in Japan and new years eve (they’re could be more I’ve missed). She’s kinda kept to being posted on the side page of verstappen.com, which has about 500k followers compared to maxs 10 mil. This could be a strategic move from his team cause of how problematic she is.

And while RB have included her in some videos, the Japan pre race one and the one of him winning the championship, but unlike when lily is in the Williams ones she’s kinda there and max doesn’t make a move to include her more. They also follow her but I do think that’s for them to kinda keep an eye on her.

In interviews, when he is asked about her he always keeps his answers short and somehow always makes her and their relationship look worse. Saying how he ‘hopes for the one’ 🤨 maxy baby you’d know if she were the one after 2 years. He also never brings her up spontaneously (unless talking about washing or why he’s not there, which was strange 🤨) he always has to be asked about her and that’s rare, I’m guessing she may be on a list of subjects that his pr team give interviewers to not ask about.

It’s obvious he was uncomfortable with how much she posted, he’s even said so in interviews. But she continued to do so. Also P showing up on his stream, the first couple of times yeah it was cute, but once you could see max get visibly annoyed and get his phone out every time, it raises eyebrows. Especially when she’s showing up during actual races. (Never P’s fault she’s a kid, but whoever’s looking after either Kelly or the nanny). Max said in an interview recently he wishes social media wasn’t created.

But one thing is clear is that max doesn’t want Kelly part of his professional image at all (rightly so), where the others mix that and don’t mind max has a clear line.

This was just a little ramble on the difference in couples and their social media use :)

That’s what I was talking about a few days ago. Yeah, they post her on Verstappencom to give her the “exposure”, but that account doesn’t have followers compared to Max’s real one. I think his PR team was really smart in that sense. Even if they are somehow posting her in something related to Max, she’s still not being posted by Max.

i started watching the dteam back in 2019!!! i'm an og of the ogs it's crazy. one of dream's vids popped on my recommended and i was like "omg minecraft!! this was my childhood i haven't played in ages! this new concept of random multiplied drops sounds fun!" and then i watched. then until the end of 2020 i was basically just a youtube fan lol. like i watched their first streams live and followed them all on twitch but i didnt really see the appeal on watching stuff live. the only thing i watched live religiously was mcc (on george's pov always). i only watched stream compilations like space croissant lmaoooo. then until november was into another fandom mainly and didn't use twitter, but then i started using twt for that fandom and started seeing dteam and dsmp stuff so i made another acc to talk about it too and i loved the sadist animations so that made me get into the lore too so yeah my obsession grew and grew and now i'm here!! so yeah the overall dteam dynamic and how fun they were doing challenges together is def what brought me in and still does :)

i have big recency bias so about my favorite moments just everything with dteam finally together warms my heart. like they're finally together, and they're so much more happy that anything from before, even though it has the nostalgia factor, doesn't even compare to like the christmas streams :,) i just love my dteamies forever

I won't say too much in case you're holding out on watching but there was a period where three of them were huddled around, each somehow in a variation of a walter white skin and it got me so bad. The actor himself also tweeted after saying how it was a funny edit, so true and real king. I found it entertaining although bbh was definitely more on the sidelines, I'm not too surprised considering Qnfs shared love of the show. I also got round to signing up to Dracula Daily (and caught up on the earlier letters) and I was wondering if you were also? :D I've never read Dracula in my life but doing it day by day is a really fun way to go about it plus putting the times in perspective 🥵 chefs kiss, maybe this will be the push I need to read more classics (maybe just read more fullstop). Also also were you ever a Dan and Phil fan? I checked in on Dan's channel the weekend when he uploaded his comeback? Maybe? Vid but didn't get too far. I did however, go to Phil's channel and found out that they still have real old (vintage 😍) d+p merch for sale from like 2016 which was wild to me. Honestly I thought they would've sold like hot potatoes back in the day but relooking at the store (literally all on sale for 1 pound) and I can see why it didn't sell. The design was far more lazier than I remember and comparing Gmfs merch for instance there is a wild increase in quality. Although price goes up with it too it is nice to see the standard rising. That being said I've yet to buy and YouTubers merch and I don't think I honestly ever will at this point because not many YouTubers have me checking for uploads these days. Hello hello sunshine ^_^ Yeah, a little busier right now, most of my exams will probably be in June so yeah, around now it's a lot of finishing projects, presentations, papers and trying to study with mixed results 😐 Very happy you don't have to deal with that this year! Watching qnf just interact is always fun and tbh I'm not surprised George got along well cause he is the type of getting to know someone or hanging out with new people, he is after all most likely to be on the teams with people playing mcc for the first time which always just makes me appreciate his easy-going personality so much more. Definitely have to get around on watching Breaking Bad, at the very least to enjoy that video more, it's entertaining in itself but all the inside jokes and references definitely were flying over my head lmao I wasn't but after seeing references and memes and now you mentioning it I went and signed up, call that peer pressure but fun type :D I also definitely want to read more classics, same with poetry... in general sometimes I feel like there is so much to enjoy, do, watch, read, learn and so little time but that's uhh let's put that small existential crisis back in a box under a lock were it belongs 😌 Recently I got great quote from Sylvia Plath on my dash that expressed this feeling very well and in general I feel like her quotes are just... if no one gets me I know Sylvia Plath gets me type, I actually have bought one of her books, The Bell Jar and it's waiting on my shelf for hopefully summer time after exams (same with literature analysis book sadly). Last book I read was SVSSS don't know if you heard about it? It's Chinese danmei novel. Protagonist is very fun, I usually get *chasing after them with a blanket and hot chocolate and getting them into hurt/comfort fics cause 👌🏻* vibes but he just makes me feel like he should be made fun of (lovingly) and if someone needs blatant example of unreliable narrator I'm slamming that book on their table hahah In general very enjoyable book you can enjoy just reading but definitely has layers and deeper themes you can get into if you want! It's one of mxtx works, if you would hear about one I feel it probably would be mdzs? And I actually never watched Dan and Phil, I think I watched Dan's coming out video and planned to watch hia new one cause I really enjoyed his video style and sharing his perspective. I heard there is definitely a pattern of people who did watch their videos and then started watching dream team which actually is kinda interesting how that works. And yeah, definitely working as youtuber and /or streamer became much more widespread which definitely results in rising expectations and quality of merch and in general. And same, I don't own any, I think like the only ones that made me go hmmm maybe was one of George's merch hoodies (some milestone one I think) but I don't remember which one and hoddies Quackity was selling with that limited Las Nevadas merch drop but having to multiply price cause of currency exchange and not even adding shipment I was like actually I'm fine, thanks 😭 But I definitely like how recently the merch George puts out has some fun inside jokes, like that one for 9 mil(?) with a cat, just makes it more fun. And don't worry about ramblings for real, they make me happy :D I didn't but with how much popularity it's getting I definitely will although with my binging tendencies I prefer to wait till whole season is out (if it actually already is I'm sitting down and watching the whole thing). Just move info on the visa cause i know you dont watch dteam anymore. Hes likely applying for a O-4 visa, which takes upwards of 6 months (pre covid). we dont actually know when he applied, but it was summer of 2021, like around June i think. their lawyer gave them a timeline of december-feb where the visa could be approved. but there were complications with his application in december that were fixed. we dont know what the problem was. he may have had to resend his application or just provide extra paperwork. but obviously we are past the latest mark of feb. but the latest thing we’ve been told is, his visa could get approved anytime now. this was told in april, so hes had his interview already. id imagine in the next month or so, it should get approved, taking into account the delays.

now for your theory, i just dont think george would willingly stay in the uk alone if his vids was approved already. hes alone without his best friends, theres no way hes waiting MORE just cause dream doesnt want to FR. and from the talks of it, dream is ready to face reveal, hes done being faceless. like george doesnt loge dream THAT much where hes willing to stay in the uk for another couple months just cause dream isnt ready. like everyone else is meeting up, while george is alone in the uk, like im sure he’d rather be with everyone in the US asap

in the nicest way possible, i don’t think an o4 visa exists i just looked it up and there’s only three types of o visas so if you could tell me what an o4 visa is like actually cause im looking it up and i don’t know what an O4 visa is it’s kind of the only one that idk, i was really confused when i read this. but i am aware that o visas or usually only given to people with extraordinary talents and abilities, and it’s the main reason i ruled it out as the one george was going for because… what? o visas are no joke, there are super specific requirements you have to meet and.. unfortunately if this is the one george applied for like, im then absolutely sure he got rejected. 😭 since idk what the o4 visa is, and its not showing up anywhere i look on the interent here are the 3 o visas listed on the internet

so the only visa that would even make remote sense for george is the o2 visa, lets look at the requirements

the last bullet point got cut off but it was about how the application salary should be much higher than other salaries in his field and in the nicest way possible as much as i love george there’s absolutely no way his career as a Minecraft YouTuber, that has never done any sort of touring, book release, literally no actual commercial success would get into america using an O visa. very stark contrast would be Dan and Phil, who literally were doing a world tour that was basically sold out and were granted like what was it .. a year and a half stay in America? idk what kind of visa they got but if someone like them were to apply for an O visa with all of that under their belts alongside a book and other sort of major partnerships then yeah, that would totally make sense and they have a high chance to be approved. but for someone like george, only about two years in his career and hasn’t done anything really .. like i mean main stream hasn’t done anything there’s absolutely no way he’s getting an o visa

i guess my new theory then is, we are nowhere close to the face reveal. like there is absolutely no reason his visa shouldn’t have taken this long unless he applied for one and waited six months and then got rejected because… That’s what it’s looking out to be
