MILES 42 Spoils you
Warnings: None.
Tumblr media
(Dont know who the artist it but props to them. Amazing stuff)
Miles loves to spoil me. He's got plenty of money, thanks to the buyer's market for fancy gadgets and Miles' insanely smart brain, and a few choice investments. Money was no longer a problem for him. He had paid off his mothers mortgage and the only reason why Rio still worked was because she respected her own independence.
The gift giving started off slow. The appreciation I showed fuelled his desire to gift me anything and everything.
I started catching onto his antics and shut it down.
“You like that one Mami?” I felt Mies place his hands on my hips from behind as he peeked over my head at the small stuffed animal on display in a window.
“No,” I flatly refused, going to step away only for him to hold on tighter pulling me back. Miles was stronger than me by a long shot. So my attempt to escape was easily foiled. I could see his smirk in the reflection as he moved to encase my body in his arms resting his chin on the top of my head.
“The green or the blue?” he asked.
“Neither,” I muttered.
“Come on Mami, Which one?” he asked, dropping his head to my shoulder.
“I was just looking at the cute cashier,” I stated without thinking.
“Who the old lady?” he asked with a smirk. Looking at the cashier, I grimace slightly.
“Come on Mi Amor,” he coaxed his lips, finding himself a sweet little spot on my neck.
“Nope,” I popped the p.
“Mi vida, Hermosa, Mi Alma, Mi Amada, Cariño, Mi Reina, Bebe,” with each pet name his gentle pecks got more intimate. Trailing down my neck and sending my cheeks a flame. Finding my sweet spot rather easily my eyes widened as he started to suck on it, fully intent on forming a hickey. Pushing the pleasant shiver it sent though my body I cleared my throat.
“Fine!” I suddenly declared. He smirked giving the spot one last peck before straightening up.
“The blue,” I muttered trying to fix my hair pretending that the kisses had not affected me in the slightest.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Staring at the blue teddy on our bed I huffed in defeat.
Yet as I started to shut down his habit he found ways of literally forcing me to accept it. Whether it be teasing me to the point of acceptance or just flat out ignoring me as he bought the item. The honeymoon period of him actually listening to me diminished in less than a month. Hell I had even tried returning items, Miles caught on and started refusing the receipts when he purchased stuff.
So I made it my mission to not go shopping with him anymore. I succeeded mostly yet sometimes he would still pop up.
It was working to an extent.
Until one day when we went to watch a live performance in the park with Jessica, my best friend and Shiro. I guess you could call him Miles' best friend. The performance was canceled last minute so Jessica decided that we should go shopping. I tried to refuse but Jessica was like Miles in a way. Wouldn't take no for an answer. So there we were walking through a clothing shop. Miles hung closer to me watching and waiting for any reaction I would have. Any slight hint that I liked something and his card was out. Luckily for me I had been practicing the art of deception. The whole time I kept a millstone smile on my face. Miles hated it.
“You're not fooling me with that smile,” he whispered into my ear.
“Oh really? Well I wonder why your cards are nice and snug in that wallet that hasn't left your pocket,” I stated smugly, giving him a wink before turning back to Jessica that held a shirt to her chest asking for my opinion.
“What's up with him?” Jessica asked, nodding to Miles who now wore a slight frown, more than usual.
“I won't let him buy me anything,” I muttered.
“I'm sorry. You're not letting him buy you stuff? Are you sick?” she asked, reaching for my forehead pretending to check my temperature.
“He gets me too much stuff,” I muttered with a small smile pushing her hand away as we walked to the other rack leaving a moody Miles behind.
“And that's a problem, how?” she asked. “You have a sugar daddy and you're not using him,” she tisked going back to looking at things. I hated the feeling that settled in my gut at her words. I know she was just joking but it still hit me deep.
“Hey Mami, we're gonna go check out some things I'll be back,” Miles muttered, gently tapping the side of my hip as he stepped up behind me.
“Ok, meet you at the food court?” I suggested.
“In an hour?” he asked. I nodded and waved him off.
“Now that they're gone we can actually do some shopping,” Jessica said wagging her eyebrows. She dragged me straight towards Victoria's secret. I wasn't gonna lie, I had a good time. Trying things on. Looked at everything that caught my eye without the worry that Miles was gonna buy it. I even bought a nice jacket for Miles. Seeing him sitting down I walked up behind him reaching around to cover his eyes with one hand.
“Hands out,” I demanded with a smile. Miles put his phone down holding his hand out. Placing the bag in his hand I pulled my hand back wrapping my arms around his neck as he opened it.
“What's this for?” he asked holding the jacket up.
“What can't I spoil my man?” I asked, giving his cheek a quick peck before sitting down next to him. He chuckled lowly at my words absolutely loving how I called him ‘my man’
The next day I got back from work walking into our apartment.
“Miles, I’m home,” I called out rounding the kitchen and stopping upon seeing a pile of bags on the dinner table.
“Hey mami,” he called from the couch, keeping his eyes on the television.
“Miles,” I sighed, already knowing what was in those bags.
“I really don't see what the big deal is,” he shrugged, already knowing what my sigh was for.
“Miles,” my tone was more serious now, it snapped slightly and my anger appeared. Miles' head tilted to the side slightly at it. I rarely held this tone. But I had had enough. It was getting out of hand. Miles and I rearly fought. And our fights were mostly me ranting and Miles using a calm tone as he listened.
“What's that tone for?” he asked.
“You know what it's for,” I snapped, chucking my bag on the table looking over it all. Hearing the TV shut off I refused to turn around as he approached me.
“Mami,” he whispered.
“Don't Miles, I'm mad at you right now,” I shook my head walking away from him.
“Babe, come on,” he sighed.
“No Miles, you just don't listen, do you know how frustrating that is?” I ranted ripping my scarf off.
“It's not like you listen to me all the time,” he shrugged, leaning against the door frame of our room. My head snapped to him in a glare that had him sighing again.
“What's got you so wound up. Huh?” he asked softly. That stupid soft understanding tone. That one that held no anger. That's why I hated arguing with him. He never got angry. Never. Frustrated maybe.
“Jessica called you my sugar daddy,” I whispered under my breath, kicking off my shoes.
“Sugar Daddy. Well I like the sound of that,” he mused with a small smirk.
“Miles,” I huffed.
“Aight aight. Lo siento,” he held his hands up in defense.
“So am I gonna have to pry what's bothering you out of ya or?” he trailed off.
“I don't want you to think I'm with you just because of your money. I don't like it, it's so fucken stupid and it makes me feel sick,” I continued to rant moving about the room.
“Mami, hey hey, come er,” he walked forward gently grabbing me, pulling me out of my pacing. His hands rubbed up and down my upper arms as he whispered to me in spanish trying to calm me down.
“Why would you ever think that?” he asked with a frown.
“It's not just me. Other people say it,” I muttered.
“Did those other people know that you were with me when I had a whole total of two dollars to my name. Where my idea of an expensive date was a trip down to the seven eleven and a push bike ride to the lookout?” he asked reminiscing on when we had first gotten together.
“Well no,” I muttered.
“And do they know that you work an honest job and against my wishes pay for your own things. That you pay for what you think is half the rent when really I already bought the apartment and put that money into a savings account that I would have told you about when we had our first kid so you wouldn't stress about buying stuff for em?” my eyes widened slightly at Miles casually mention of not only lying to me about the rent but the talk of a kid. I should be really angry at him for lying to me. But all that was running through my head was a kid.
“You want kids?” I asked softly. We had never talked about kids before.
“Who wouldn't want a little you runnin round?” he asked with a small smirk. My chest flushed with warmth at the sincerity in his eyes.
“Why don't you?” he asked.
“Of course I wan- No wait. I'm getting distracted. You've been lying to me! MIlES!” I snapped.
“Mi amor you're angry, How about  we calm down,” He suggested his arms moving to encompass me.
“No, I will not calm down,” I huffed trying to get out of his hold.
“Ok,” he shrugged before tipping us back, myself hitting the bed and him flopping down atop me.
“Miles!” I yelled trying to wiggled out from under him.
“Hum?” he hummed, not moving an inch.
“God you can be so frustrating,” I huffed, giving up on my struggle.
“I'll get up when you calm down,” he muttered simply. I gave one last shake before huffing again.
“You know I read somewhere that adults who can't accept people buying nice stuff for them is because when they were a kid their parents would say stuff was too expensive. Messed with the kids mind and made them think they aren't worthy of being gifted stuff,” Miles mumbled. Hearing that my mind instantly snapped back to when I was young. Money was tight growing up. My parents tried their best to shield it from me but I was smart enough. Seeing my parents so worried about paying rent, I guess it could have left a mark.
“Stop trying to be smart,” I huffed. Miles was smart. Crazy smart. As in genius einstein smart.
“You deserve the world Mami. And I'm the one that's gonna give it to ya,” he whispered softly.
“I don't need the word Miles. I only need you,” I whispered my arms moving around to hug him, my hand gripping the back of his shirt. Rolling us onto our sides he shifted me up so we were looking at each other.
“Who else am I gonna spend my money on huh? I send a bunch to charities. I look after my mum as much as she will let me. At least you let me buy you stuff,” he muttered.
“Let you?” I propped an eyebrow.
“Yes Mi Vida. You let me, even though you try not to,” he grinned. I sighed, shaking my head reaching up to grab his face.
“I love you Miles. I love YOU, Not your money. Not this apartment. I would love you if you had not one penny to your name. You know that right?” I asked. I wanted him to know it. I needed him to know. For a long time he simply stared at me. In his mind he wondered what he had done to deserve the love of such an amazing woman. He knew I didn't care whether or not he had money. But the main reason why he did what he did, why he sold his tech was to make a life free of such worries.
“I know,” he whispered, his own hand reaching up to cup my face. “ So let me spoil you. The whole reason I did it all was to make a life free of the worry of money. To make a good life for us,” he whispered honestly. I pressed my lips together. He had a point.
“Fine. but only once a month,” I huffed.
“Once a month?” he asked, pretending to be appalled.
“Fine once a week,” I muttered. He grinned, pulling me into a sweet kiss. I smiled, trailing my finger down his chin as he pulled back.
“Say, you busy this evening?” he asked.
“Why?” I asked.
So there I sat. On the handlebars of Miles' old push bike. In one hand I held a slushy. I wore the biggest smile on my face as we rode through the town, my hair gently billowing in the wind. Looking back I caught a glimpse of one of Miles' genius true smiles. A smile so wide and toothy that it showed his dimples.
“You wanna know something?” I asked, turning back to the front. He hummed, signaling for me to continue.
“This has got to be the best date yet,” I said.
“I guess it's alright,” he mused.

yourinstagram Wow! I can't believe it's been a year of @ipanema 🇧🇷 My favorite childhood memories are connected to the summer, the sun and the sea, and with every new design designed, be it bikinis or accessories, I feel a little more connected to that little girl who counted the days until the weekend, because it meant my feet would touch the warm sand of Ipanema Beach again. So much has happened in one year and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us! Thanks for all the support so far, it means the world and I can't wait for you to see our new designs!! 💚💛 Head over to @ipanema to get 30% OFF the entire store! Limited birthday discount! ☀️

user11 hi, yn! idk if you remember me or if you will see this comment, but i was at the harry concert last night and ended up having a serious anxiety crisis due to the crowd. i was unaccompanied, and as much as the other girls next to me tried to help me, there wasn't much they could do. idk how, but you saw me from somewhere near the stage, offered me water and a safe place to stay until the show was over. i had saved up for many months for this show, and if it wasn't for you, my anxiety would have completely ruined my whole experience. thank you for helping me and being the sweetest person ever ❤️

Misumi: We’ve finished changing~.
Kazunari: Everyone looks totes adorbs as ever~!
Tenma: The last time I put this costume on was for Rio’s earlier spin-off story.
Tumblr media
Kumon: Look, Director! I brought my plushie Chacha with me. Can Chacha watch the show from the audience?
Izumi: Sure, I don’t mind.
Kumon: Awesome, thanks! I’m gonna go and be right back, ‘kay!
*runs off*
Tenma: I didn’t think he’d bring it all the way here…
Kazunari: Eh, it’s fine! That’s what today’s star Kumopi wants to do!
Misumi: Kumon looked happy when he said he wants Chacha to watch~.
-pause-
Kumon: Thanks for waiting!
Tumblr media
Izumi: Everyone looks all set. Alright, let’s start filming!
-pause-
Izumi: (Rio and Chacha are unwinding and relaxing in Jack’s room.)
Chacha [Kumon]: “*Sigh*~. I’m stuffed!”
Rio [Tenma]: “The food today hit the spot.”
Tumblr media
Chacha [Kumon]: “…Huh? Jack’s getting ready to leave!” “Where are you going, Jack? Take me with you!”
Jack: “Hm? Do you want to play? There, there. We’ll take our time and play once I come back home, alright?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Ehehe~. It feels nice getting pats from Jack~.”
Rio [Tenma]: “Oi, don’t let the petting fool you. We’re going to get left behind if we don’t hold our ground! I’m sure Jack is heading to the bar.”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Ah! It felt so good, I forgot!” “If he’s going to the bar, then I’d like to see Ray and Ruy. We have to make him bring us!”
Rio [Tenma]: “I’ll back you up. Jack, take us with you!”
Jack: “What’s this? You want to play too, Rio? I’m going out, so you two should play together and wait for me.”
Chacha [Kumon]: “That’s not it! We’re going with you!”
Rio [Tenma]: “Guh, he’s not getting our message…”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Ah, I know! If we take our leashes that we use for walks and show it to Jack…”
Tumblr media
Jack: “Leashes? Oh, do you guys want to go with me?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Yeah! That’s right, Jack!”
Rio [Tenma]: “Did he finally get it?”
Jack: “So that’s what you want. My bad. Well, alright… let’s go out together then.”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Yay~!”
Rio [Tenma]: “Jack spoils us quite a bit, doesn’t he?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “That goes to show how much he loves us!”
-pause-
Izumi: (The bar’s mascot dogs greet the two dogs who arrived with Jack.)
Ray [Misumi]: “Chacha, Rio. You’re here.”
Ruy [Kazunari]: “Welcome.”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Ray, Ruy! It’s the first time in a while!”
Tumblr media
Rio [Tenma]: “I never thought this place would become Jack’s favourite shop.”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Hehe. I’m glad! Because of that, we get to see Ray and Ruy all the time, just like this!”
Izumi: (Ever since Ray and Ruy saved them from the mafia guard dogs behind the store…) (The four have actually met several times and became good friends with each other.)
Jack: “Haha, you sure get along well. I’ll be having a drink over there, so you boys be good, alright?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Okay!”
Rio [Tenma]: “Ray, Ruy. Has the public safety around here been alright these days?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “There hasn’t been anything troubling you?”
Ruy [Kazunari]: “It’s been fine.”
Ray [Misumi]: “We get some drunk patrons at the bar from time to time though.”
Rio [Tenma]: “I see. Give us a holler anytime something happens.”
Izumi: (Rio and Chacha follow in the footsteps of Jack who’s a police officer… Fufu, it makes me smile no matter how many times I see it.)
Chacha [Kumon]: “…Huh?” “Is it just me or is that customer…”
Tumblr media
Rio [Tenma]: “Why’d you go silent all of a sudden?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “That man over there is kind of suspicious. He’s been glancing around and fidgeting for a while now.”
Ray [Misumi]: “Huh? Which man?”
Ruy [Kazunari]: “…You’re right. He’s acting shady.”
Rio [Tenma]: “It is strange…”
Tumblr media
Suspicious man: “…”
Chacha [Kumon]: “! He left the store without paying his bill! He drank and dashed!” “We gotta chase after him!”
*runs off*
Rio [Tenma]: “Oi, Chacha!”
Chacha [Kumon]: “I’ll go after him, so you go get Jack!”
Ray [Misumi]: “We’ll go with you!”
Ruy [Kazunari]: “Leave Chacha to us!”
Rio [Tenma]: “Urgh, got it! I’m counting on you!”
-pause-
Chacha [Kumon]: “Darn it~. That guy… where the heck did he go?” “*Sniff, sniff*… that’s his scent! Over here!”
Ray [Misumi]: “Yeah. That’s his scent, alright.”
Ruy [Kazunari]: “Let’s go!”
Tumblr media
*runs*
Chacha [Kumon]: “AH!”
Ruy [Kazunari]: “I can see him up ahead!”
Chacha [Kumon]: “I won’t let him get away! Woof, woof, woof!!”
*runs*
Izumi: (Chacha runs at full speed, faster than he’s ever run before. He throws himself into the man who just happened to stop.)
*hits*
Suspicious man: “GYAHH!?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “You there! Pay up!”
Ray [Misumi]: “You’re charged with drinking and dashing!”
Ruy [Kazunari]: “You're not going to get away with this! Bark, bark!”
Tumblr media
Suspicious man: “W-what the hell is up with these dogs! Stop! Let go of me!”
Rio [Tenma]: “Are you alright, Chacha!? I’ve brought Jack with me!”
Tumblr media
Chacha [Kumon]: “Jack, I caught the drinker and dasher!”
Jack: “W-what’s going on? I was suddenly dragged here by Rio…” “Hm? Was this guy at the bar earlier?”
Rio [Tenma]: “That’s right! He didn’t pay his bill!”
Chacha [Kumon]: “He drank his fill and ran for it! Woof, woof!”
Jack: “With the way Chacha and Rio are acting… I assume this guy did something.” “Police here. I’d like to speak with you.”
Suspicious man: “Gah…! U-uhh…”
-pause-
Izumi:  (A few days after that incident…)
Chacha [Kumon]: “I can see the ocean from this park! It feels great~!”
Rio [Tenma]: “We’ve never been here before.”
Tumblr media
Jack: “Chacha, Rio. Thanks to you two, we were able to catch the drinker and dasher.” “Especially you, Chacha. You did amazing stopping the criminal in his tracks.” “Another job well done, you two!”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Ehehe~!”
Rio [Tenma]: “It was nothing. We’re Jack’s dogs, after all!”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Yeah! It’s our job to protect the citizens!”
Rio [Tenma]: “You got that right!”
Jack: “Here. I bought a new toy as your reward.”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Hooray! A reward~! What did you buy for us!?”
Tumblr media
Jack: “It’s a frisbee.”
Rio [Tenma]: “Isn’t that what you’ve been dying to get, Chacha?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Right. I had my eye on that toy! How did you know, Jack!?”
Jack: “There, there. Are you happy?”
Chacha [Kumon]: “I’m elated!”
Jack: “That’s great. Let’s play.”
Chacha [Kumon]: “Okay!”
Rio [Tenma]: “You got it.”
Jack: “Alright, I’m going to throw it. Here goes!”
Rio [Tenma]: “Chacha, let’s compete to see who can catch it first!”
Chacha [Kumon]: “You're on. I’m not gonna lose! Woof, woof!”
Izumi: (Chacha and Rio run off cheerfully with a skip in their step…)
-pause-
Kumon: Ha~. What great weather~.
Muku: Chacha and William look like they feel good drying in the sun too.
Tumblr media
Kumon: Hehe, you’re right! Mmm, even so… Chacha watched the spin-off but he hasn’t appeared in my dreams. I’m pretty sure I cherish him as much as Jack does. I wonder if I still don’t have enough love for Chacha…
Muku: This is just my opinion… but I think it’s the opposite.
Kumon: The opposite? What do you mean?
Muku: I'm sure he hasn’t been appearing in your dreams because you’re taking good care of him. From what Tenma-kun said about his plushie Rio, it sounds like Rio also stopped appearing in his dreams after Tenma-kun started taking care of him. Isn’t Chacha the same way? Chacha’s really happy with how much you care for him. It feels like you’re communicating even if you don’t dream about him. I think that's wonderful in its own way.
Kumon: I see. Good point..! It’s because I cherish him that I don’t dream about him… I’m glad if that’s the reason! Thanks, Muku! Hehe. Let’s keep getting along from here on out, Chacha!

"Taking their gloves off"
Plz plz pretty plz with a cherry on top if it's not too much trouble, gil and rio especially
Love <3 V
With a request like that, how could I not comply? For these headcanon reactions, we will just pretend that card in the rain does not exist that will come in a later fic.
IKEMEN PRINCE HEADCANONS - TAKING SUITOR'S GLOVES OFF (GILBERT, RIO, CHEVALIER)
Gilbert von Obsidian
"Are you going to just sit there, or are you going to help me?" Gilbert asked, as he started tugging at the fingertips of his gloves with his teeth.
You sat there, momentarily dazed. This wasn't your first time you were intimate - but all the other times, his gloves stayed on. In fact, you had never seen, let alone touched, his bare hands.
Mesmerized by the prospect of holding his ungloved hand, you found it impossible to tear your eyes away from his gloved hand, fantasizing about what it will feel like to have his palm run down your body, his fingers digging into your soft skin.
His laughter broke you from your reverie, your gaze rising to meet his.
Curling his finger, he beckoned you to join him on the large bed.
You felt as if you were walking through quicksand as you made your way to the bed. Once close enough, he took your hand in his - the one that was bare - and electricity shocked your system.
His skin was cold, so cold without his gloves that it stung. Soft, though; surprisingly soft. Your fingers wrapped around his, already not wanting to ever let go; his grip so firm, you didn't think he'd let go either.
After pulling you onto the bed, he presented his gloved hand to you with a smile. Taking his hand in yours, you began to pull at the material, eager to feel his skin on yours.
Laughing, he pulled his hand from yours, his finger tracing your lips. "Such a boring way, bunny. Don't you think?" He slipped his fingertip inside your mouth, tickling your tongue.
Your eyes closed as your lips parted allowing, his finger to slide inside deeper, your teeth grazing the fabric of his glove.
Starry-eyed, you watched as he removed his finger from your mouth - but not before you left a little bite on his fingertip.
"Bold bunny," he praised his pet. A rush surged through your body, seeking further praise from this prince.
Taking his hand once again, you brought his fingers to your mouth. A smug smile spread on his lips as you took the fabric of the glove between your teeth, gently tugging it free.
You took your time as you worked on releasing his fingers with your teeth; you found yourself fantasizing again - how it would feel to have his soft palm caress your breast, how it would feel to have his fingers dig into your hips as your bodies rocked together. After releasing all five fingers, you sighed softly as you tugged one final time, removing the glove from his hand.
He removed the glove from your mouth and thanked you with a kiss.
He pulled you into his lap, pushing away the layers of your skirt, allowing your bare bottom to brush against his bare body.
"Tell me, bunny, how should I reward you now?"
Rio Ortiz
"Your gloves," you gestured at your lover's hands, "have to come off."
Rio smirked at you, his blue eyes sparkling. He spread his bare body - save the pair of gloves covering his hands - across your bed.
"Come and take them off then."
You raised a brow. "Playing hard to get, huh?" Rio simply laughed, the sound music in the air.
Challenge accepted, you told yourself as you approached the bed. Climbing on top of him, your legs straddling his hips, you took one of his hands in yours as you painstakingly loosened each fingertip before removing the glove from his hand.
Once you pulled the glove off, you brought his hand to your lips where you placed reverent kisses on each fingertip.
Taking his other hand, you did the same until all ten fingers were kissed.
Rio smiled at you, pleased with your work. He pulled you closed to him as he rewarded you by removing your clothes.
Chevalier Michel
"Undress me," Chevalier commanded as he laid down across his bed, a sly smirk adorning his beautiful face.
Warmth flooded your core, your body tingling with excitement from your lover's challenge.
You approached the bed, your body sinking into the plush coverings next to him.
Dragging your hand slowly down his arm, you were determined to take your time with your task.
"First to go are these." Your fingers traced his gloved fingers. Long and elegant, you loved it when he ran his fingers through your hair or ghosted your skin with his fingertips.
Taking his hand in yours, you slowly removed the glove from his hand, releasing each finger before pulling it off gently.
Once one hand was free, you began your work on his other hand.
But you found yourself soon distracted as his free hand curved around your shoulders, his thumb roughly stroking your smooth skin.
Melting into his touch, your eyes drifted closed as you savored the way his palm cupped the curve of your shoulder.
You managed to fumble your way through, and somehow removed his glove, allowing his hand to roam your body.
Instead, his mouth captured yours in a deep kiss, his hand falling to his waist, and you heard the unmistakable click of his belt coming undone.
"I'm sorry, I can't wait any longer," he whispered, his breath hot on your lips, as he spread your skirt, lifting you onto his lap.

The Weight of a Soul
Viktor x reader, as usual
Word count: 1.2k
Warnings: She/her pronouns. Abuse, drugs, pain, cruel punishments, reader has turned into a funny lil creature.
Summary: When Viktor goes to obtain shimmer from Singed, he sees a familiar face. Singed had swore the mutation would survive at all costs… but Viktor never imagined it would be at the cost of you.
Authors note:
ed...ward....
(also you woudnt believe how many people it took to title this fic.)
Tumblr media
--------------------------------------------------------
“And this is… shimmer?” asked Viktor, studying Singed as he moved from his desk towards him.
He presents the vial of purple fluid, an ominous glow emanating from within it
“A variant,” he responds, “ it should provide everything one needs to survive a violent transition.”
“Will it work on…”
Viktors words trail off, something catching his attention. There within the shadows lived a glowing set of eyes, peeking out from behind a tank– as if stalking Viktor like prey.
Singed was quick to catch onto Viktor’s distant gaze, signaling the creature to come forward.
“No need to be afraid. It’s just Viktor… Do you remember him? The two of you were friends when you were younger.”
Stalking out of shadows hesitantly was a familiar face– though perhaps one Viktor was horrified to see. What was once his dear friend (Y/N), now fully grown. It could be a happy reunion, if not for the unsettling realization of what had happened to you all those years he was away. He felt nauseous at the sight of you, having brought his hand up to his mouth as he suppressed a shocked gasp.
All he could manage was a shaky, “(y/n)...” as he took a step back.
You hastily looked around, searching for another presence within the room. A hand on your shoulder caught your attention– Singed. At the very least, you would recognize him. He leaned down to whisper, “That's you.” before standing upright again, and gently pushing you forward to the vaguely familiar man.
“She has trouble recalling her name these days, one of the side effects, I suppose…”
He knows he shouldn’t, but Viktor can’t stop himself from backing away from you as you approach. You already look terrified, it won't help if he’s scared too.
“Friend… Viktor?” You questioned, your voice rough from the changes your body has undergone. Or maybe it was rough from how much you cried out in pain. You can't remember…
How could this have happened? No… he knows the answer to that. How could someone– how could Singed do that to you. Singed had swore the mutation would survive at all costs… but Viktor never imagined it would be at the cost of you.
You, his most beloved childhood friend, who he spent most every day with. More often than not, the two of you played with Rio– feeding her, or petting her, or playing fetch. On other days, walking alongside the riverside, making shapes out of clouds. Even on days spent apart, the two of you often wrote letters back and forth. After he ran out of Singed’s underground lab that day– terrified at the sight of a dying Rio– he ran out on you too. Maybe if he would have stayed behind, he could have stopped… This.
‘Friend Viktor’... he seems like someone you might know. It’s been so long since you’ve seen him! Probably! It’s been so long since you’ve seen anyone, you think. Though, if someone’s come to visit you now, that must mean they like you, right? You’ve done something right– and that's good! Probably!
You’re just so happy, so overjoyed. You barely even notice your speed picking up as you approach him.
Viktor is sure he’s about to be killed and eaten. You’re bolting towards him at inhumane speeds, your mouth open just enough to show razor sharp teeth. He can only close his eyes and flinch, preparing himself for the pain he’ll no doubt feel as you tear into him.
Just as you’re about to reach him, pain consumes your body. Viktor, despite his best effort, isn’t able to react in time. He watches you fall to the ground as you scream out in pain, grasping desperately at your neck. A shock collar… That’s how Singed is keeping you under control, isn’t it?
“I’m sorry…! I’m… I’m so sorry! Please, Please make it stop!” you plead, knowing how few times pleading worked.
As the shock stops, Viktor glares at Singed. How unphased he seems, as if it's normal to him.
Singed only sighs, placing a remote back onto the table– no doubt the one he uses to shock you.
“Try not to excite her too much... her nature has changed quite drastically.”
Singed moves to your side– picking you up, and placing you in a chair. You struggle to sit up, seemingly out of breath from struggling. It's only now in your stillness that Viktor can see the marks on your arms and legs. You’ve had to be restrained… and recently, too. In between your gasps, you chant your frightened ‘no’’s. Singed seems to be preparing an injection of shimmer.
So this is the type of transition it helps one survive…
“... why would you do this to her?”
“It was never supposed to go this far.” Singed replies, injecting you with shimmer. You immediately go quiet, your breathing slowing as you fade in and out of consciousness. Singed looks over to Viktor, a grim expression across his face.
“She was never supposed to turn into… this.” he continues, “ You think I’m horrible for doing this to my own daughter. I admit– I think so too. You’ll only have a few minutes with her like this, say anything you need to say to her. I’m sure these are her final days of resembling something human.”
Years worth of memories of you he could recount, or tell you about life in Piltover, or even just reassure you that everything would be alright. In that moment, he could only stare– all thoughts leaving his head. You were supposed to be the one that made it out. You were the little girl who would buy a ‘non-cave’ cottage, and have a ‘rio-ranch’. You wanted to make the world a better place. You wanted to have lots of friends, and celebrate, and…
Oh, he’s crying.
“Please don’t cry, I’m sorry for scaring you. I… I understand if we're not ‘friends’ anymore.”
Your eyes have dilated back down to a normal level, and for a moment he sees you. You. Silly, happy, carefree you. The you that could have been.
“I’m sorry for leaving you.”
It's all he can think to say. He’s so overcome with grief, first facing his own death, and now… Sure, you were alive. On a physical level, you were alive. But this was not you. The (Y/N) he knew was dead, and her corpse was a sick sort of Rio puppet.
“It’s okay, you're back now. You won't leave again, right?”
Silence fills the room, realization hitting you.
“Oh…” you whisper, your voice quivering, “I understand.”
With that, a single tear rolls down your face, your eyes closing once more. This time, though, they stay closed. For the first time, Viktor wonders if he should have stepped closer. If he should have given you a hug– or– or told you how much he loved you. Singed hoists up your sleeping body, bringing it back into the shadows. So then, that was his final conversation with you, wasn't it? Leaving you alone in tears… just like last time.
It was the last time anyone saw you, for that matter. As years passed on, those who knew Singed no doubt heard of his deceased daughter– who he missed dearly. Overcome with a sickness, and losing her battle.
Which, of course, had absolutely no connection to the supposed ‘monster’ the Machine Herald kept in his lab.

28th- Death upright | Endings, change, transformation, transition How’s the future for Zexal characters? Show us what you think a Zexal character (or several) are doing post-series or how they look when they grow up?
I believe most of them are still living in Heartland (but still travel elsewhere etc) and I thought of some cool careers and things they could be doing:
Yuma - pro duelist this was a given considering it was his dream, only fair to make it come true when he's grown up
Astral - warrior/protector, interdimensional researcher his role in Astral-Barian World remains the same. After the worlds were forcibly fused together, there need to be someone to keep all that Chaos in check so that the Astralians don't disappear. He also helps with pooling interdimensional knowledge since he, himself, is not human and lives in somewhere other than Earth
Kotori - kindergarten teacher I think she would make a good teacher and her likeable and caring personality would be popular among little kids and their moms
Ryoga - marine biologist and/or interdimensional researcher Shark was never extremely passionate about dueling and I believe all that drama throughout the series would definitely drive him away from dueling professionally again, I do see him as a scientist though. As Astral, he has experience first hand with being non-human (formerly)
Kaito - engineer, interdimensional researcher already things he was from the start of the series, so no massive changes except for his age and being more experienced (eventually taking over his father's laboratory)
Rio - pro duelist, model, actor, athlete she showed how much she is capable of so it's only natural that she would hone those skills and have an active life doing several different things. She preferred modeling for environmental causes, acting in stage/theater and competing in winter sports
Tetsuo - pro skater, model, maybe also pro duelist I think it would be so much fun if Tetsuo started skating professionally and I can totally see him rocking urban/alternative apparel and making a lot of money/fame as a model
Tokunosuke - "entrepreneur" he's still swindling people, just a little bit smarter about it
Cathy - pet groomer of course she will work with animals, what did you think?
Takashi - paralegal don't see him as a lawyer but I do see him working in justice. That was pretty much a given, considering his personality
Anna - pro duelist and stunt performer it would be freaking hilarious to see her as a stuntperson so, why not?
Haruto - interdimensional research assistent by choice, Haruto doesn't get involved directly in his family's research, so he takes on a organizational and administrative role more
III - historian, researcher, writer I like to think that III had a very important role in the ongoing discovery of all interdimensional things due to his profound knowledge of the past and how it influences today. He never sought fame but it comes to him anyway with all his published papers
IV - pro duelist, model all that interdimensional stuff? He's not interested in the slightest. IV duels his way to the top of the top and, as usual, he's very smug about it. He can be, he's that good
Durbe - professor (perhaps a specialist in linguistics) I can't see Durbe as anything else than an academic, he just has that vibe going on for him
Vector - ??? who even know about Vector. He's rich, somehow. He comes and goes as he pleases and when people ask he says something like "don't worry about it ;-)"
Alito - bartender, dancer I'd love to see Alito excelling in all kinds of dances, receiving accolades because of just how skilled he is, and working in the local nightlife seems like it would suit him
Gilag - bodybuilder, strongman yeah, that's about it. He's got the muscles for it, he should use them
Mizael - interdimensional researcher it was surprisingly tricky to figure him out? And I feel like he takes on a more mixed role, not too hands-on and not too detached either. He's mainly helping the Tenjos with in-field research
most of the other characters I didn't mention here are most likely following the same path as the show.. Fuya is still an actor; Faker, Byron/Tron and V are scientists and interdimensional researchers; Droite is a manager and Gauche is a pro duelist/wrestler
in most my headcanons, everyone was resurrected by the Numeron Code including Don Thousand. I'm unsure of his role but he would stand together with Eliphas in Astral-Barian World, their roles as the most powerful beings (akin to gods) would be to maintain the harmony. Ena would be more of a messenger and mediator. As Vector, Number 96 would be mysterious, but he mostly stays in that world, challenging Astral to duels here and then

Ah. Welcome to the court. ~ Signed, Court Overthinker

Thought #1: The yandere trope would be a really poor fit, same as "he drinks to drink away his sorrows (broodingly)". Add "villain who needs love to reform himself" to that list.
Overall, I'd lean towards more mature characters, who have their stuff (mostly) sorted out. Not the constant-walking-festival-slash-soap-opera-of-a-person, not oh-convince-me-i-am-worthy-of-even-existing-(we-are-going-to-spend-the-next-15-chapters-pretending-i-don't-love-you), and probably not the i-am-your-boss-but-also-a-major-major-BRAT.
I think it'd lean towards characters who'd be ready to settle down, and who'd be competent enough to live on their own. They should know what is important to them, why exactly that is the case, and what compromises they may be willing to make. Generally, I think it'd be better if they had rather balanced approach towards most things -- after all, given all its complexity, it is hard to see the world as purely black-and-white.
+Emotionally mature, with good understanding of the fact that relationships are both give and take. +"Love is a choice that needs to be made daily" sort of mindset - good idea on why effort matters (and that effort doesn't necessarily need to be some grand gestures).
Suggested Characters: Shingen (IkeSen), Sasuke (IkeSen), Comte (IkeVamp), Theo (IkeVamp; maybe? He has some potential), Leon (IkePri; maybe? He does lean towards "boyish" on the charm scale...), Rio (IkePri; maybe? As before).

Keith Howell. Chapter 5&6
Chapter 5
In this scene and beyond, mean/alter Keith took control of the body.
In one mansion, while the nobles were enjoying a party, there was a tense atmosphere on the deserted balcony.
Keith explains to the owner of the mansion that he has witnesses who saw burglars entering and leaving the house.
The noble man was nervous.
Keith: If you say you had nothing to do with it, you shouldn't feel fear or regret.
Tumblr media
Keith: Don't think you can just use your status to get away with it.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Silvio appeared.
Grabbing Keith, he pulled him away from the aristocrat.
Silvio: Hey, you push him off the balcony.
The aristocrat escaped, but not for long. He was captured by the knights.
Silvio realizes that Keith summoned them beforehand, but the prince denies it; he says that someone from the merchants is summoning guards to catch the nobleman.
Keith: .... He should have just admitted his guilt. As a native of Jade, I feel pain in my heart.
Silvio realizes that the fugitive is connected to the drugstore thefts.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
The prince from Benitoite asks why Keith stayed in Rhodolite?
Because Silvio and Gilbert stayed.
He is also investigating some rumors.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Keith stole wine from Silvio. And drank it.
Silvio: Hey, why are you taking someone else's drink? If you want a drink, go get it yourself.
Keith: I like what other people have.
Keith: Yeah, it's good! After all, the host is a drinker. I think I'll have another drink.
Silvio worries about how Keith drinks fast. The prince from Jade says not to worry about him.
Silvio looks at Keith suspiciously.
Two women appear and cast "passionate glances" at the princes.
Keith smiled friendly and waved Silvio's hand, who chose to ignore him.
Keith: It's okay. "I'm" not the one who regrets it.
In the morning...
Keith: Ouch...........My head hurts.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Kitchen.
Rio met Liam, Keith's butler.
Liam made medicinal tea. Rio put some candy treats on the tea tray beside him. This is a token of thanks to Keith, who found a hairpin.
The usually serious expression on Liam's face relaxed.
Rio learned that Keith has an uncle named Fernand, the king's younger brother.
Rio: It's only my imagination, but the pressure on prince Keith from many sides seems enormous.
Liam agrees and admits that Keith doesn't get along with either his father or his uncle.
Liam: I wonder if people born into royalty sometimes think about their own happiness.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Just Keith
Tea Party.
MC has finished her lesson and thanks Keith for the reference books and help.
Keith praises her and says she could qualify as a pharmacist.
Yves: MC was supposed to be Prince Keith's tour guide.
Licht: And now Keith has become a teacher?
There was a bird's cry. As it flew toward Keith, a bird with bright blue plumage landed on his shoulder.
Tumblr media
Keith: His name is Dill. He used to be the castle's mail bird, but now he's my personal mail bird.
MC: Sounds like he missed you.
The bird's head rubbed against the prince's neck.
Keith: I wonder if he thinks I'm a walking tree, perfect for resting his wings.
The bird was treated to a cookie.
Keith then offered to feed his pet to the girl. Dill ate everything. Everyone was surprised at how quickly the bird trusted the stranger.
MC petted Dill.
MC: Ah, so cute...he's fluffy and nice to touch!
Keith is jealous of his pet. To the surprised exclamations, he says it's like a massage.
Keith: My shoulders have been stiff lately, and when I saw Dill's pleasant face... I couldn't resist.
Upon hearing this, Yves is fired up with the idea of making an almond cake for Keith to improve the prince's circulation.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
MC interviews the guys in Chevalier's faction.
After passing the list of books from Jade to Chevalier, after talking to Luke about honey, she found Nokto. The conversation turned to Keith.
Nokto told her that Silvio likes to drink and complain. Keith is a quiet and good listener.
Tumblr media
Clavis: Keith? He always tends to belittle himself, but he knows how to find the good in others.
Keith is courteous in his work, a good person, and loves Clavis' cooking. On the last point, however, the heroine had her doubts.
Plus, they have common interests. Clavis is interested in medicine and pharmaceuticals. Knowledge of herbs is a must.
Also, Clavis is involved in refugee protection. That's where he and Keith crossed paths.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Clavis touches on the rumors of MC's affair with Keith.
Clavis: "Love has nothing to do with social status". Isn't that a cliché in romance novels?
Clavis: If you search Chevy's bookshelf, you'll probably see that phrase hundreds of times.
In Clavis' opinion, Keith is the least likely to hurt the heroine of all princes.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
It's been a while.
Negotiating Room.
MC got sick and Keith took her to the infirmary.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Chapter 6
Night.
In the hall Keith met Gilbert. The prince of Obsidian pointed to the book Keith was holding.
Gilbert: Ah, is that a picture book from Jade? Miss Bunny will be delighted.
Gilbert: Yeah, but maybe she'll like the next one better if it's by the same author?
Keith: Oh, I didn't know that. You know a lot about Miss MC.
Tumblr media
Gilbert: Better than you do.
Gilbert saw Keith take MC to the lazarette. And if Keith blames himself for something, he can't sit still from guilt.
Gilbert: Didn't you prepare the book because it would have been boring in bed?
Keith: You know everything, Mr. Gilbert. Or maybe I'm just easy to understand.
He wanted to say something else, but then he smiled and prepared to leave.
But Gilbert stopped him.
Gilbert: I wonder if "you" liked Miss Bunny, too?
Keith: Mr. Gilbert, what are you talking about?
The red eyes seemed to be looking at someone who was not him in front of him.
He asked not to be too teased/mocked by the girl and "him."
Keith: I'm sure it's "he" who will break first.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
MC's room.
The girl woke up. Next to her, in the chair, sat Keith.
(Ever since you came to visit me, you've been looking gloomy.)
Keith feels guilty and apologizes to her.
He made medicine for her, poured water, and offered fruit.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Keith handed her a picture book with different views of Jade in it.
MC wishes he could visit the country someday. Keith hopes so, his homeland is as beautiful as Rhodolite.
The girl thanks Keith for his kindness.
Keith: .....Even so, I haven't done anything to make you appreciate me.
(I wonder if Prince Keith thinks all the negative events are his fault.)
Something unsettling flickered in his eyes.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Uncontained, the girl stroked his soft, olive-colored hair.
Immediately, though, she took her hand away, and MC scowled frightenedly.
Keith: Miss MC, calm down. Let's take a deep breath first.
After breathing as Keith indicated, the heroine calmed down.
Tumblr media
Keith: It's okay. I don't think that's rude, so please don't apologize.
Prince was surprised and he liked it. He now understands his pet very well. He also confirmed his assumption: the girl's touch is gentle.
1. (Let's try stroking again.) ✔
2. You imagined it.
3. Your hair felt nice and soft to the touch.
But she didn't
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
Tumblr media
Keith: I'm sorry! It's just strange to see a man my age so happy to be stroked on the head.
He apologizes again for making her feel uncomfortable.
MC denies it. She's fine with Keith.
Keith: I want to ask one thing. Why was Miss MC stroking my hair?
MC: I noticed something when I was with Lord Keith. I feel like you blame yourself for all the negative events.
MC: Lord Keith is very kind to others, but I don't think he's very kind to himself.
MC: That's why I don't want you to apologize too much. I don't want you to blame everything on yourself.
There is silence in the room. The girl wondered if she had said something wrong, she could have conveyed her feelings better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Keith: I often feel a sense of wonder/curiosity when I talk to you.
Keith: I've never met anyone like you before.
Keith: I can't believe you would say such kind words to me...
MC: "to me"?
Keith: ...As expected, you are an honest and kind woman.
MC: Prince Keith is also kind.
Keith denies it. He's a symbolically nice human being, with a penchant for self-deception.
MC: If there was only appearance, without substance, Keith wouldn't help find the jewel.
Keith: I don't play the game, but I don't think I can beat you.
Keith explains that he didn't come here out of guilt, but to warn her not to believe him.
Keith: But what you just said made me happy. Thank you, Miss MC.
It was as if his words put a wall between them.
━━━━━━━༻❀✿❀༺━━━━━━━
MC fell asleep, and Keith stayed to watch over her sleep.
Keith: I'm glad you're not alarmed. ..... I'd be worried.
The prince wanted to pat the sleeping girl on the head, but he changed his mind.
He cannot understand what he is doing and why.
He is tired and wants to leave.

Suddenly he has a seizure. He loses his balance and grabs the wall at the last moment..... Keith is about to run out of the MC's room, but doesn't make it in time.
The prince has changed. He decides to stay with MC.
Mean/AlterKeith acts in this scene.
Keith: Come on, just make it formally. That's why you're a loser.
He looks at MC.
Keith: ....What a defenseless one.
After stroking her head, Keith takes his hand away.
Keith: Gilbert is also a bad person.
Quickly searching and flipping through the girl's notes, he finds nothing.
Keith: ...I'm tired as hell.
He began to play and flip the coin he carries with him everywhere.
The girl, meanwhile, covered herself with a sheet.

Keith:.....
Keith wrote something on a piece of paper and put the letter in his pocket, then took off his jacket and lay down with the girl.
Keith: You're going to let me have some fun with you, aren't you? MC.
Keith: Because I'm betting on you.
Prince fell asleep in the same bed as MC.

hi so i feel like i'm never gonna draw her this well again so i decided to post this tonight lol
i dont have a name for her, so suggestions are welcome!
Basic Info:
Name: Amelie (thanks @nightingale-au-tmnt) I really like this name! It means: industrious, striving; work; laborious; eager, which I think is a great name for summing up some of her strengths!
Age: 19 (when she joins the fam)
Pronouns: she/her (was often referred to as "Pet" or "It" by Big Mama, Venus, etc for most of her life)
Height: 6ft 5in, when full grown she will be 7ft (so taller than Raph for now, but as soon as he hits his next growth spurt she'll be shorter than him lol)
design based off a Rio Grande Red-Eared Slider
Backstory/Lore under the cut (warning, it's very long lol)
Amelie's story is that she is supposedly the last turtle yokai, taken by Big Mama. At first, when she was very little, BIg Mama was very kind to her, but never bothered to name her, calling her Pet, or referring to her as "it", which just stuck. Big Mama's assistant, who I headcannon as Venus de Milo, while thinking of Pet as a sort of sister figure, felt inferior to her because Venus is a mutant, not a yokai, which Big Mama holds over Venus.
When Pet turns 11 years old, she fights for the first time in the Battle Nexus. Big Mama starts her off in basic bouts of skill, but by the age of 13 is already fighting in the major battles- the "to the death" battles. She quickly becomes the Champion, and Big Mama often shows her off to others in her social circle, and that's when she dresses up like she is in the picture. Pet becomes nonverbal during this time period, she chooses not to speak because she is afraid she'll say something wrong and be punished.
When she turns 18, however, she starts rebelling against Big Mama, and so BM locks her up like she did with Splinter. (Ergo how Leo was able to become Battle Nexus Champion).
A year later, when the turtles are looking for their lost siblings, the group who goes after Venus also find Pet, and take her in. She easily slips into the role of "older sister of now six turtle mutants and two humans". I think it should be fitting that Venus give Amelie her name, after they have a heart to heart convo.
She teaches her siblings to speak her particular dialect of turtle (the difference between hers and the sibs is kinda like the difference between American English and British English lol), and the boys teach her (and Venus) TSL.
It takes her a while to talk again, and when she gets her voice back its deeper and raspier than it would've been normally, but the sibs like it so she doesn't really mind. She learns Japanese, Spanish, and French very quickly. When she is overwhelmed, though, she quickly defers back to chirps and churs because it's easier for her (it does make it hard for her non turtle family to help her out though, especially when she says more complex things in her native dialiect)
Sometimes her scars bother her, she has many, but her sibs have their own scars and that helps make her feel less alone 💞

BLINDDATE WITH SINGED, BLINDDATE WITH SINGED, BLINDDATE WITH SINGED-
ANON OKAY YOU GOT IT
Singed x Gn!Reader - Sfw Modern!AU
-
The man before you is not what you expected your date to be. From how your mutual friend had described him, you thought he'd have thick rimmed glasses, maybe a pocket protector.
You didn't expect him to be covered in scars, with the right side particularly worse. The eye on that side is even fully green, and you doubt he can see out of it. He wears a facemask on, and you can see a lot of scarring leading up to the mouth hidden beneath it.
Still, he didn't look as bad as your ex.
Long, slender fingers rub along his arms. "So..."
You let your gaze fall, leaning back to fully look at him. He's standing beside the table rather than sitting at it. Wearing a sweatshirt with what you think is a University's logo on it, a pair of pants that are tucked into some flashly designed socks, and a pair of black tennis shoes.
Slowly you raise your gaze back to his face, and life an eyebrow. "So?"
There's a sigh, shoulders slumping. He's look forward and not at you. "I can leave now? I know Sevika set this up, she means well, I know." Oh. You frown, leaning forward. "You want to leave?"
The man, Singed you think, or at least that was Sevika had said. Maybe a nickname of sorts. "No. I... Usually when I get set up, they want nothing to do with me after a first glance."
The muscle in your chest twitches. "Sit."
And he does so, long slender fingers spreading out over the tablecloth. Now he looks almost nervous. "So..." He begins again, and now you lean into him on the table. There's a crinkle under his eyes. "What do you do for a living?"
The night goes on, and you find yourself never at an awkward pause in the conversation. Perhaps the only thing close was when the food arrived, and Singed had to remove his mask. The scarring was worse around his mouth, to the point it looked like whatever had done it had ripped off some lip tissue. But any look at his scars was gone when you had glanced elsewhere.
His cheeks. They were red. Not even subtle, with how easily embarrassed he was. His fingers folding together, and hastily telling you. "I can take it home. Don't worry, I can eat-"
"You should eat before your food gets cold, handsome."
And then you found out that red could spread to his ears too.
Now you found yourself leaning your face in one hand, smiling as you gazed at him. The mask had come back on but it seemed another had slipped away, as he excitedly told you a story about his two children and their pets.
"Orianna has Sagan. He's her cat, of course. But Viktor has Rio, she's his service dog. Sagan seems to think Rio is meant to serve him though. One time he was laying on her, before Viktor woke for school, but the second Rio heard him, she sent him flying." There's a laugh, warm, terribly awkward like he wasn't used to anyone hearing it. It was horribly charming too. "I learned then, that cats really do land on their feet."
You smile, laughing a little yourself. "Can see the science in everything can't you?"
"Of course, even now." And then there's that red again, just flaring up at the tops of his cheeks where you can see them. He holds out his hand, and your own slides from your cheek, sitting up straight as you let him hold you. "For example, this is an experiment," His fingers interlace with your own.
You blink as he locked fingers with your own hand, and your own fingers are brought over his. "What does this do?"
"Tests the chemistry between two people."
And now you do smile, maybe a little laugh. You don't let go of his hand. "That was terrible."
"You smiled!" But he's chuckling again, eyes crinkling and the red is still there. His hand squeezes yours, as he gazes at you directly. "And you haven't let go."
That's true, you haven't. In fact your fingers squeeze back, and you grin at him now. "So, when are you free next, handsome?"
And now you fully know he's smiling, widely at that, from how his cheeks lift and his eyes crinkle.
"I think my schedule has just freed up."

Thank you so much Timi! 💖 For this one, I’m working on an idea I had for Will falling into the hands of a dangerous Celestial, and having to rely on a reclusive hunter for survival. Here, they’re bonding and making promises for the future. I hope you guys enjoy it!
“Do you want to know something funny?”
Romero looked down at the frail, soft-spoken man on the bed, weakened by the continued rituals of Aphelion and his guests. He could see each mark on Will’s skin where the Moon God tried to cut, and where his Infection stitched him back together. The very thing that had almost killed him was now the only thing keeping him alive.
“What is it?” Romero asked, hoping to keep him conscious in case those wretched creatures came back.
“I get why my father fell so hard for Rio. I always kind of understood it, but now I know what he was thinking.”
“And what’s that?”
“He was scared, and miserable, and all alone. If it weren’t for Rio’s comfort, he wouldn’t have lasted in that building, and I wouldn’t have found him. Rio helped him live again.”
Romero nodded respectfully. “The right person can pull you out of the darkest depths. Harper showed me that… and Ione right after him.”
“And you.” Will’s sad eyes flickered towards Romero for a moment. “If you weren’t here with me, if you hadn’t given me hope, I would have gone insane.”
Romero let out a deep sigh. His hand lingered on Will’s, a gesture he shared with Ione to let her know he was there. Will squeezed his hand in return.
“I’ll get you out of here,” Romero said, “I swear on it.”
Will smiled and sat up, taking a look around his room. It was undoubtedly the smallest room in the entire palace, only large enough to fit a bed and an old dresser, with a long ascent into darkness in place of a ceiling. In a regular building, this room would have been a crawlspace in the walls for a tiny mouse. Despite the size being an afterthought, it had still been beautifully decorated with quilts and flowers from Paradise. Nothing but the finest for Aphelion’s prized possession…
The Celestials never predicted that a human would stay in Aphelion’s domain for so long. Then again, they never predicted that the Moon King, with his distaste for humanity, would fall in love with a man from the world below. Will was “just like him,” he had said, a being of unfathomable power. All they needed to do was cut him open so his godly essence could walk the halls as intended.
Preston, Bluebrook, the Celestial Kingdom… All his life, everyone wanted him to be someone else.
Will looked out the window at the landscape of the Celestial domain. The grand hills were made of stardust, strange and colorful plants dotted the horizons like trees, and comets rushed through each one like rivers. Everything buzzed and hissed and roared across the land, a symphony of the stars themselves. In another world, Will could have spent hours traversing the cosmic plains, happy to live out the dreams of his childhood self.
Now, the sight of the world he once loved made his stomach churn. The view was a trap, a piece of bait meant to draw Will further into the arms of the creature who made it, a creature who didn’t plan to let him go. If Will couldn’t become a god like Aphelion wanted, then a pet would do just as nicely for him.
Romero tapped his shoulder gently. There was more warmth in his eyes than when they had first met, which Will didn’t blame him for. He wouldn’t have been happy in his shoes, either. Aphelion had killed Romero’s fiancé, for the same reason he would inevitably kill Will for. No one should be forced to confront a creature like that again for someone else’s sake.
Still, his battle-scarred eyes held no animosity towards Will. Dare he say, they had a familiar shimmer, like how Dante would look at him.
“Are you able to stand?” Romero asked.
“Yes, but— We can’t leave yet. You wanted to kill Aphelion, to avenge Harper.”
“I’ll avenge Harper by getting you out alive.” He bowed his head. “But I appreciate your concern.”
“Romero—”
“We can’t leave, anyway. The Celestials are scattered all over the place, and you’re not properly rested. We wouldn't get far.”
“Then what are we doing?”
Romero kept his eyes on the floor. “You have this look in your eyes, the kind Ione has when she’s weighed down by her thoughts. I thought I could help you, if you’d like.”
He reached out his hand, and Will took it gently. They stood in the center of the room, and with the cosmic symphony outside to guide them, Romero led him in a waltz. His hand was pressed against his back, and he could feel each soft vibration as Will laughed at himself for stumbling over his feet.
His smile was brighter than any star outside.
“Sorry,” Will said, “I’m sure Ione is a much better dancer.”
“She’s surprisingly talented. I guess that temple was good for something.”
“Right. ‘Come on down to the Temple of Sapphirus. We can make blind women dance, if you let us feed your family to a god.’”
Romero bit his fist through his mask. It hurt to laugh, but he couldn’t help it. Will smiled at him as they spun around, the starlight from the window turning the world around them into a whirlpool of color.
“Romero?”
“Yes?”
“I know we’re not close, or anything—”
“Please, feel free to speak. You and Dante are honorary members of our group.”
“Really?”
“He’s looking after Ione for me, I’ll never forget his kindness… or yours.”
“Then could you promise me something?”
“What is it?”
“You don’t have to give up your time for it, but if you could just check on Dante every now and then, I would appreciate it forever. He already lost Vani, I hate putting him through that again.”
Romero paused. “You’re going to see him again, I promise.”
Will smiled sadly. “You don’t have to make that promise. I know it’ll be impossible to get out unnoticed.”
“It’s not impossible. We’ll find a way—”
He faltered as Will held his cheek, the one that hadn’t been scarred. Romero couldn’t understand why his heart was beating so fast.
“Please, just promise me.”
“… I promise. Everyone you love, I’ll check on them.”
“Thank you, Ro.”
These feelings… Romero didn’t like them. Never mind that Will had a wonderful partner already, but he was also in captivity. His kind words and gentle voice shouldn’t have been weakening Romero so suddenly. He couldn’t help that the man was so much like Harper.
Maybe, in a different life…
“One more thing, if you don’t mind.”
“Tell me.”
Will laid his head on Romero's shoulder. “If I can’t leave… please kill me. I don’t want Aphelion to do it.”
“I’ll make sure it doesn’t come to that—” Romero closed his eyes. “—but you have my word.”
He spun with Will for a while longer, both of them unwilling to let go, to face their predicament once more. It had been so long since Romero had people to live for, and this time, he would make sure they stayed out of Aphelion’s hands. The Moon King would finally pay for the pain he had caused, by losing something he “loved,” in return.
Romero would free Will. He swore it on his life.

Normally I don’t like baby being used as a pet name but Rio DEFINITELY would call Beth baby you’re so right about that
I think you do a great job writing dialogue for Rio. Accurate without being too cringe or trying too hard
That is so nice! You have no idea how much I value when someone thinks my characterization comes across believable for either Beth or Rio. Fics that nail the characters really speak to me so it is an enormous honor to hear that you find the dialogue believable and not forced.
Rio has the added challenge of being Rio. Like, I know how to talk like a middle aged, middle class white lady that Beth is. 😂 I will admit, I do struggle with Rio because his dialogue is so particular in canon and I also try to always be mindful of the language I personally choose to represent him, being a middle class white lady myself. And I do sometime re-read parts and just 😬😬😬🤦♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ at my choices for him and wish I would have done it differently.
All that is meant to say THANK YOU! I love his “baby” the first time I had him slip up and say it. And I really love the way he grew into the use of it as a loving pet name as their relationship developed throughout Rough Night. I am absolutely over the moon that you think it works for him in that context! I do love his canonic “hey mama” and probably should use that more in my writing. But there is just something about the softness of a “baby” rolling out of his mouth in reference to Beth. I always picture him using it with that face he had in his “I’m gonna teach you” moment. He calls lots of women “mama.” But “baby” is reserved for “his” woman.

Putting ideas out during breaks... All because of one fic that caused me to have headcanons. 💖
(don't blame you, @miii-chaaan... But you it sprouted because of that)
On a different note, Not chronological. The one time maverick found out Goose and Ice can be affectionate bastards, and Slider is the youngest between the three of them.
Honestly, it's just a bunch of words out, waiting to turn into an actual lil fic.
Slider sat on the side of a bench, unforgiving sun right on top of him, scorching hot. Ice nowhere in sight, he would appear soon, he thought, side by side with Mitchell. And Goose. He spent so much time with them, like an absurdly lot of time. Not that slider was jealous, okay? Why should he? His pilot could hang out with whoever he wanted, him and maverick had chemistry, no one would deny it. Slider wasn't jealous.
He swallowed, looking around. Everyone was with someone, mostly pilots and respective RIO. And he was-- alone.
It felt weirdly familiar, like his first times at academy. Right until the two older boys approached him.
It felt definitely familiar. Slider didn't hear them walk up to him, earphones on despite the low volume.
Maverick notices his RIO, with an arm around his shoulders, lean close to Ice in the other side, nod and whisper something. Then he saw the smirk ice gave in return, an almost silent exchange he was being left out of. He frowned, scrunched up his nose, then they both, as one, moved away from him and toward what, from a distance, seemed to be slider, sitting on a bench. Mav had actually wondered where the man had been, he usually was around Ice, not this time. He seemed to be sitting there, completely alone. He looked a bit pathetic, actually.
"Ronnie~" Ice reached him first, he wrapped his arms around his neck, dragging him backward just slightly. Maverick saw him jump and flinch just slightly, perhaps he didn't hear him.
Goose was next to him too, a familiarity that made Mav frown everytime. It was obvious they knew each other well, yet... Well, perhaps Mav was a little jealous of that, so used, lately, to have Goose all for himself.
"aww, what's baby Ron doing here all alone?" he cooed, and Mav blinked.
"wha--" slider turned, finding himself with goose's face almost on him. "are you two drunk? At not even 3pm?"
"why? Because we're being affectionate with our baby Ronnie here?"
"ice--"
Maverick got close too, he stood in front of the other RIO, saw him blush a deep red. Ice held him a little closer.
"me and Goose were talking, you know?"
Goose nodded next to him, he had an hand on his hair, wrapping his fingers around the short curls.
"oh, yeah? That's nice..."
"and we agreed that you looked down, lately."
Oh, so they still observed, he thought. They still looked at him, even though it seemed like their every look was directed to maverick.
"so, here we are."
"hugging me? Calling pet names?"
"mother goose idea. Besides, Mav here should know that you were the baby first."
"yup." goose agreed. Mav frowned again. The baby? Isn't slider older?
"and you, baby ron, have nothing to worry about. Just because Mav is there, he's not taking your place."
Goose moved his hand down from the hair to his neck, he dragged him toward him until slider was laying his head against his side.
Taking his place where?
"you're ours." ice bent over, he pressed his lips on top of his head. "maybe we should make it a little clearer, make sure you remember."
"i know..."
Slider muttered, he shivered slightly as his hands pressed over his chest, fingers slipping between the buttons of the shirt.
"of course you know, but we need to treat you right, not make you jealous and sad."
"I'm not--"
It was then, maverick blinked in surprise, that Goose leaned closer and stole a little kiss from his lips.
"hush, let us make it right."
"yeah, but not here, don't you think?"
"oh, Ice, we did worse..."
Goose chuckled. Mav didn't fully understand, but it was quite fascinating seeing the older man blush like that as both Goose and Ice wrapped themselves on him.

Impressions art by @fugitivehues & writing by @keikotwins
“And that makes one hotel room booked for a journey fully planned!” Elm Root gleefully announced in place of a greeting as he closed the living room’s door behind him. Rio smiled with amusement, eyes not neglecting her work for a second.
“Should I bother asking you how many beds this room will have?”
“There is one way for you to know,” he responded without hesitation. “The ticket is in one of my pockets.”
She rarely heard him in such an excellent mood; despite a well-natured composure that initially gave the impression of a permanent merry state of mind, he tended to remain even regardless of his surroundings, which had led Rio to sometimes wonder if he could feel emotions. After all, he recovered quickly from disturbances like surprise and tended to remain more unaffected than ever by pain and sadness – in a word, he barely displayed joy nor excitement.
“Let’s keep it a surprise, then.” She knew he did his job correctly, and he knew she knew. Just like this, the topic was dropped; he approached to have a closer look at the painting she had started working on earlier that day. Not without taking the time to explain in great details the schedule that awaited them on the next Monday, from the time they needed to depart to the roads they would take, including the expected traffic, the architectural style of the inn and new information he had gathered about the artwork they had planned to pay a visit to, which wasn’t a lot so he mostly reminded her of elements she already knew.
Meanwhile, she listened. She always listened. Her pieces didn’t require much focus and, palette in one hand, paintbrush in the other, she added, touch after touch, colours and nuances to the cloudy sky that would serve as both background and main point of interest of her piece, his sentences unrolling one after another behind her. On top of Elm Root preparing their little expedition with enthusiasm, he avoided taking up space when she was working.
Just as she was mentally formulating that even he, amongst all the persons she knew, also had the ability to show an endearing side, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist and he pressed his body close, a cheek gently caressing one of hers – of course, glasses also bumped against her temple with a dry protestation in the process.
After the rather unflattering portrait of the inn employee he had been in contact with, he had stopped talking. For what felt like a suspended moment, it seemed that he almost considered mentioning her piece. For an individual who always had his little say about her workload and the quality of the care given to her family heritage, he remained rather silent on his personal tastes regarding art. She had picked a lighter, relatively impressionist style for that one commission, and had had the opportunity to shed some of her personality. It would have been a nice opportunity for him to speak out.
However, he resumed his preliminary report, this time insisting on how much she needed to rest well before leaving. Both hands too busy to indulgently pet this protective head, Rio rested her back against him. Another time, then. She would certainly find his preferred style one day.
“You know what?” Outside, the light of day was already weakening, projecting the shadows of the garden’s trees on the wall behind them. Her colours gradually became harder to determine, and she had spent way too long picking a new shade of blue. “I think can finish this before Monday, after all.”
“You know what?” he asked back, his voice lowering to almost become a whisper, fingers almost imperceptibly pressing harder against her arm. She recognised that warm tone, his favourite when he expressed the last cajoling comment he had come up with. “You convey texture and light in your oil paintings like no one else.”
The playful voice was back. Another smile showed on her lips, as she picked some more blue onto her brush. That cloud was becoming more than decent.

Miguel Rivera and the Madrigals
Good morning, everybody. As you know I've been a huge fan of Disney, I just decided to do a story called, "Miguel Rivera and the Madrigals", a crossover between Coco and Encanto. It's about Miguel who visits the Madrigal family in Colombia with his dog, Dante on his 17th birthday party as he seems welcome to stay for the rest of four days during Bruno's apology party. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and like the story. Coco and Encanto are the registered trademarks of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios.
(The phone rings as Miguel answers the call.)
Miguel Rivera: Hello?
Mirabel Madrigal: Hello there.
Miguel Rivera: Oh. Hey, baby. How you doing?
Mirabel Madrigal: I'm doing good. How are you today?
Miguel Rivera: Fantastic.
Mirabel Madrigal: What's your name?
Miguel Rivera: Miguel.
Mirabel Madrigal: Ooh. I love that name. Have you been a good little boy?
Miguel Rivera: Well... (chuckles) Yes.
Mirabel Madrigal: How old are you, Miguel?
Miguel Rivera: I'm 17. I'm also the musician in Mexico like Papa Hector.
Mirabel Madrigal: Wow. A musician. Would you like to come over to the Madrigal family tomorrow morning? I'll put a good word with Abuela so she knows to expect you and your pet.
Miguel Rivera: Sure thing, Mirabel. Dante and I will swing by the crack of dawn when I travel.
Mirabel Madrigal: Great! I love you. Meet me there by the crack of dawn, baby.
Miguel Rivera: I will. I love you too. Bye.
Mirabel Madrigal: Bye.
(Miguel hangs up.)
Elena Rivera: So, Miguel, who'd you talk to on the phone?
Miguel Rivera: Mirabel Madrigal of Colombia.
Elena Rivera: Ooh. I'll bet she's the sweetest girl in Colombia. And it looks like you're ready to travel to Colombia with Dante.
Miguel Rivera: That's right. So what should I do, walk or take the plane?
Elena Rivera: (gives a map to Miguel) You can walk to the Madrigals if you'd love to.
Miguel Rivera: Sure. Thanks, Abuela Elena.
Elena Rivera: Don't mention it.
Miguel Rivera: Well, anyway, I'm gonna pack my things and travel to Encanto.
Elena Rivera: Good boy. Now pack and move to the Madrigal family's house.
Miguel Rivera: Yes, Abuela Elena. I'll be back by Saturday morning.
Elena Rivera: Saturday morning it is. Have fun at the Madrigals.
Miguel Rivera: I will. And take good care of my sister please.
Elena Rivera: You bet.
(Miguel goes to his room, packs his things in his luggage and carries them to the Madrigals' house. Miguel and Dante walk to the Madrigals for a long journey around seven in the morning as they make it through the gorge. At the Madrigal's house, Mirabel cracks her joints and knuckles after she left the house with Isabela, Luisa, Antonio and Parce.)
Mirabel Madrigal: I can't believe it's finally happening. Miguel's really excited to see us.
Isabela Madrigal: Oh, I'll bet what Miguel looks like. He's kind, handsome, and charmingly dashing.
Luisa Madrigal: Yeah, he sure seems very beautiful. I'm surprised he's the best musician the world has ever known.
Antonio Madrigal: Not to mention, he knows the songs of his great-great-grandfather, Hector. Isn't that right, Parce?
Parce: (meows)
Mirabel Madrigal: Well, I hope we'd make it to Miguel just in time.
Isabela Madrigal: Precisely. I hope Abuela doesn't know the difference.
Luisa Madrigal: Me too. Abuela shouldn't become extremely furious.
Antonio Madrigal: I'm honestly surprised Rio de Janeiro isn't such an epidemic.
(Meanwhile, Miguel looks at the map and follows the stream to Encanto with Dante.)
Miguel Rivera: Hmm, let's see. The passage way to Encanto should make us go straight across the stream to Encanto. I agree, Dante.
Dante: (barks)
Miguel Rivera: Do you know what I think? I think I'm looking for something peculiar. They're specifically excited to meet me is because they all know about me. (his stomach growls) I must be hungry. Good thing I have a tamale stuffed with chicken. (takes a bite into a tamale) Mm. That's good.
(Then, all of a sudden, Parce appeared out of nowhere as Miguel screams in shock and Dolores hears it from the house.)
Dolores Madrigal: (gasps) Someone's in trouble. Hey! Abuela Alma! I hear someone screaming.
(Parce and Dante growl at each other as Miguel holds a guitar like a weapon.)
Miguel Rivera: Easy, tiger. Be a good boy.
(Parce launches towards Miguel. Dante races to defend Miguel, but they stop as Parce slices between them.)
Antonio Madrigal: Stop it! (Parce snarls back menacingly) Nuh-uh! These two aren't food, they're outsiders!
(Parce stops as he notices Miguel and rubs his head on him.)
Miguel Rivera: Hello. I couldn't notice, but you're Antonio, right?
Antonio Madrigal: Yeah. And you're Miguel Rivera from Mexico.
Parce: (makes an apologetic sound)
Miguel Rivera: Apology accepted, Parce. (to Antonio) I heard that you can talk to animals.
Antonio Madrigal: That's right. It's my gift.
Miguel Rivera: Your gift?
Mirabel Madrigal: (notices Miguel) Oh. Hello. You're actually not from here, are you?
Miguel Rivera: Uh, no. I'm Miguel Rivera of Mexico. And I'm heading to the house to meet your family.
(Mirabel and her sisters and cousin gasp in realization.)
Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela, Antonio: He's an outsider!
Mirabel Madrigal: That's wonderful! I'm Mirabel Madrigal, and those are my sisters, Luisa and Isabela, and my cousin, Antonio.
Antonio Madrigal: And that's Parce, he's a male jaguar.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, yeah, I see him now. That's my dog, Dante.
Dante: (barks in pleasure)
Antonio Madrigal: It's my pleasure to meet you too, Dante.
Luisa Madrigal: So tell us, Miguel. What's it like beyond Encanto?
Miguel Rivera: Well... (grunts softly in pain)
Mirabel Madrigal: Are you okay? Are you hurt at all?
Miguel Rivera: A bit. (looks down at his leg, which the group realizes he bleeds a lot) Maybe more than a bit. (falls to the ground)
Mirabel Madrigal: Should we do something?
Luisa Madrigal: Actually, I think I'll carry him to our house. He sure looks handsome and adorable.
Isabela Madrigal: Hmm. I wonder if he tries arepas that'll heal him. Do you think he'd love some?
Luisa Madrigal: I sure do. (places Miguel on her shoulder) Hold on, young man. We'll take you to our mother. She'll fix you right up.
Miguel Rivera: You coming, Dante?
Dante: (barks)
(Dante follows the Madrigals to the house as Luisa carries Miguel. At the town, they walk through as the town kids look concerned at Miguel and Dante.)
Coffee Kid: Who's that boy?
Osvaldo: I have no clue, but I think he's from Mexico.
Town Kids: Oh. Mexico.
(At the house, Mirabel opens the door as she enters the house with Luisa, Isabela, Antonio and Parce as Luisa places Miguel on the bench.)
Mirabel Madrigal: Welcome to our house. It's magical. Sorry, that might seem strange to you.
Miguel Rivera: Yeah. Though, to be fair, this just makes it the second strangest day in my entire life. Although, it looks beautiful. I love it.
Mirabel Madrigal: Of course you love our house. Wait, did you say, "only the second"?
Abuela Madrigal: MIRABEL!!! (Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela and Antonio cringe as she marches through the door and looks cross) Where have you four been? Beds empty! Leaving Encanto! Antonio missing! Now Dolores tells me you brought a stranger to our home!
Mirabel Madrigal: (holds her hands up defensively) He's hurt. I'm bringing him to Julieta to heal him.
Abuela Madrigal: He's not from here, Mirabel! It's dangerous! You know there is a reason we live in these mountains.
Miguel Rivera: Listen to me! I'm not only a stranger. I'm just an outsider. I'm Miguel Rivera of Mexico, and that's my dog, Dante.
Abuela Madrigal: Oh. Sorry. I never noticed that you and your pet were coming to see us after Mirabel called you. Miguel Rivera. We've heard so many great things about you and your pet. Especially from my children and grandchildren, of course. (chuckles) I see you're... badly wounded. But don't worry. I'll call Julieta to fix you up. Julieta!
(Julieta comes to meet Abuela.)
Julieta Madrigal: Yes, mother?
Abuela Madrigal: Look who came to see us. It's Miguel Rivera from Mexico.
Julieta Madrigal: Buenos dias, Miguel. I'm Julieta Madrigal, and I see you've met Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela and their cousin, Antonio. What happened to your leg?
Miguel Rivera: I'm bleeding a lot. I need it to be healed.
Julieta Madrigal: Don't worry, Miguel. I'm on the job. (gives Miguel the arepa) Here you go. This'll heal your leg.
Miguel Rivera: Gracias. (takes a bite into an arepa and his leg heals magically) Wow. I can walk again. Thanks, Tia Julieta.
Julieta Madrigal: My pleasure.
Miguel Rivera: (to Isabela) Nice dress, by the way.
Isabela Madrigal: Thank you. It looks colorful. (chuckles) Even my hair looks colorful. (shows Miguel the cactus) See? It's a cactus.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. That's really cool.
Isabela Madrigal: Don't touch it. You touch it, you'll prick your finger.
Miguel Rivera: (notices Agustin) Oh. Hey there.
Agustin Madrigal: Are you Miguel Rivera?
Miguel Rivera: Why, yes, I am. And that's my canine friend, Dante.
Dante: (barks)
Agustin Madrigal: Hey, Dante. I'm Agustin. It's really wonderful to meet you.
(Dolores, Felix, Pepa, Camilo, Mariano and Senora see Miguel on the bench.)
Dolores Madrigal: Miguel Rivera? You're here?
Miguel Rivera: (runs over to Dolores) Dolores!
Dolores Madrigal: Hello there! (Miguel hugs her and she chuckles) Oh, my God, you're so sweet. We're so happy you came to Encanto. Miguel, this is my father, Felix, my mother, Pepa, my brother, Camilo, my maternal uncle, Bruno, and my new boyfriend, Mariano Guzman. I hope they know so much about you.
Miguel Rivera: Hola. I'm Miguel Rivera, that's my canine friend, Dante, and we're from Mexico. (to Bruno) You must be Bruno I've heard about.
Bruno Madrigal: Uh, yes. I am Bruno.
Miguel Rivera: (to Luisa, purrs) Hola, sweet Luisa. (feels her muscles) Oh, wow. Check out those muscles. They really turn me on. They're so smooth like butter. (rubs it)
Luisa Madrigal: Aw, aren't you such a vision? "Treat your woman like a queen", I always say. (chuckles, sighs)
Mariano Guzman: Buenos dias. I am Mariano Guzman, and you must be Miguel Rivera from Mexico. And that's my mother, Senora Ozma.
Senora Guzman: Miguel Rivera. We're gratefully honored to meet you.
Miguel Rivera: I am too, Senora. So, Mariano, who do you fall in love with?
Mariano Guzman: That would be Dolores, like she told you.
Dolores Madrigal: Of course I did, so you don't have to, Mariano.
Miguel Rivera: Uh, what happened to your nose?
Mariano Guzman: Oh, I just got hit by a vine during my proposal to Isabela.
Miguel Rivera: Wait, didn't you use to marry Isabela?
Mariano Guzman: Well, yes, I used to.
Miguel Rivera: So, does that mean your nose looks back to normal?
Mariano Guzman: Yep, it definitely seems so.
Senora Guzman: Thanks, Miguel. Your family would be very happy.
Felix Madrigal: Miguel, I'm very happy you've met our children as you've made friends with them.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks, Felix. (to Pepa) And look at you, Mrs. Weatherwoman. Or should I say, "Pepa"?
Pepa Madrigal: Oh. I do have weather powers to change my moods. And we're so honored to meet you.
Miguel Rivera: So, Dolores, what ability do you have?
Dolores Madrigal: It's super simple, really. I have the ability to hear everything from the distance like when I heard you scream earlier while you came.
Miguel Rivera: Well, of course you did. (to Camilo) And look who comes to see me. Camilo Madrigal. (shakes his hand) This is why I'm shaking your hand right now. And I'm glad you have shapeshifting abilities.
Camilo Madrigal: (chuckles) Of course I have.
Bruno Madrigal: We hope you can join us tonight, Miguel, when we celebrate my apology party.
Miguel Rivera: Of course, Tio Bruno. Dante and I will join you.
Mirabel Madrigal: Oh, hey, Miguel, there's something I'd like to show you.
Miguel Rivera: Really? What is it?
Mirabel Madrigal: It's a surprise. Just close your eyes, and we'll show you something amazing for my birthday.
Miguel Rivera: Okay. (closes his eyes)
Mirabel Madrigal: Good boy. Let's take you to my surprise gift.
(Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela, Dolores, Camilo and Antonio take Miguel to Mirabel's door.)
Isabela Madrigal: All right, Miguel. You can open your eyes now.
Miguel Rivera: (opens his eyes and gasps in surprise) Oh, my God.
Mirabel Madrigal: I know, right? It's my new door that my family made me for my birthday.
Miguel Rivera: Aww, Mirabel, it's the most beautiful surprise present I've ever seen in my life.
Camilo Madrigal: (laughs) We're glad you love it, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks, everybody.
Isabela Madrigal: (giggles) It's no problem, Miguel.
Luisa Madrigal: Hey, you wanna see what's inside Mirabel's new room?
Miguel Rivera: Sure.
Dolores Madrigal: We've fixed you some breakfast.
Antonio Madrigal: See the banner? It says, "We're Sorry, Bruno".
Miguel Rivera: Wow. That's fantastic. So anyway, I have a disorder that makes me irresistible to the ladies. Like all ladies everywhere. So, put your wings on, everybody. We're going into Mirabel's room, to have breakfast!
Camilo Madrigal: That's right, Miguel. We've just made us some French toast, bacon, arepas, OJ, which stands for orange juice, and of course, scrambled eggs. Your favorite.
Miguel Rivera: Mm! I'll bet they're delicious.
Mirabel Madrigal: Well, in that case, would you like to try coffee?
Miguel Rivera: Si. I'll take my coffee with cream, sugar and ice.
Mirabel Madrigal: Coffee with cream, sugar and ice it is.
Pepa Madrigal: Actually, we're eating out here.
Miguel Rivera: Oh. That's good. Let's do that.
(Outside the house, Miguel sits between Mirabel and Bruno across from Luisa, Dolores and Mariano and they all eat breakfast as Pepa adds cream, sugar and ice to Miguel's coffee.)
Miguel Rivera: Thanks. (takes a sip into his iced coffee) Mm. That actually tastes good. (cuts a French toast and takes a bite into it.) Mm. (takes a sip into orange juice and takes a bite into scrambled eggs and bacon.)
Mirabel Madrigal: So, Miguel, what'd you think of breakfast?
Miguel Rivera: I love it!
Mariano Guzman: Really?
Miguel Rivera: Yeah, it's delicious!
Dolores Madrigal: Well, I'm glad you love it.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks.
Luisa Madrigal: No problem.
(Pico flies over to Miguel and rubs his head on him.)
Miguel Rivera: Hello.
Pico: (chirps)
Antonio Madrigal: That's Pico. He's a keel-billed toucan who has black feathers, a light yellow underbelly, and his beak consists of the colors light green, orange, cyan, and pink.
Miguel Rivera: Now that's one pretty toucan. (rubs Pico's beak) Who's a good toucan? Yes, you are. You're such a good toucan, Pico.
Pico: (purrs)
Miguel Rivera: (picks one of the grapes from a vine) Well, anyway, someday, someday, those Colombian soldiers will be sorry. They'll be eating breakfast or something and all of a sudden, they'll say, "Hey! We screwed up! We never should have fired Miguel Rivera because he's got imagination." (eats a grape) You know, Abuela Alma, you're gonna look at the big picture. You're gonna grab life by the lips and yank as hard as you can!
Abuela Madrigal: (chuckles) I understand you're actually saying those things, Miguel, like something nice or naughty.
Miguel Rivera: Well, I think the bacon tastes chewy and juicy.
Dolores Madrigal: Oh, Miguel, do you think having a 17th birthday fiesta might sound like such a good idea?
Miguel Rivera: I don't see why not. Especially if someone should sleep with me.
Mirabel Madrigal: Hmm. Well, one of us will sleep with you.
Miguel Rivera: Does everyone seem so afraid of those pathetic Colombian soldiers?
Abuela Madrigal: That would be me.
Felix Madrigal: Miguel, we have some great news. We're throwing a big Fourth of July fiesta celebration for your 17th birthday party. We'll bake the best cupcakes, decorated with the flags of Mexico and Colombia. A union of two countries in Americas.
Miguel Rivera: (shows the Madrigal family the Mexican flag) You mean this flag? (waves the flag)
Pepa Madrigal: Oh. I knew you're from Mexico. (chuckles, inhales sharply) I think today's Monday.
Agustin Madrigal: But for being such a brave young man, we have a surprise for you.
Miguel Rivera: What is it?
Agustin Madrigal: And since you've turned 17 last weekend, we're gonna have a wonderful birthday fiesta of yours this Friday.
Miguel Rivera: (gasps) Can I play Un Poco Loco?
Julieta Madrigal: Of course you can.
Miguel Rivera: Yay! (finishes his breakfast) There. All finished. Thanks for the breakfast.
Felix Madrigal: My pleasure, Miguel.
Luisa Madrigal: Hmm. Come with me, Miguel. There's something I'd like to show you. (takes Miguel to the barn)
(At the barn, Miguel meets one of six donkeys.)
Miguel Rivera: Hola. (pets a donkey as it brays) I see you're carrying donkeys to the barn.
Luisa Madrigal: Yeah, that's actually part of the chore. Not to mention, I can also lift buildings where there's plenty of space.
Miguel Rivera: How come you move the mountains?
Luisa Madrigal: Because I always move them after we've rebuilt our house and brought our powers back.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. That's very interesting. So, what powers do you have?
Luisa Madrigal: I have the power to lift heavy things. Like this. (lifts a piano and puts it down)
Miguel Rivera: Whoa. You're just like the mighty Hercules.
Luisa Madrigal: I know, right? I'm just like the mighty Hercules. Might wanna pet all the donkeys. And make sure to be careful. They'll just have to kick you out of the barn.
(Luisa leaves as Miguel rubs a donkey with his hands and a donkey twines all around him.)
Luisa Madrigal: See? I told you it'd work. And we'll all have to make sure nothing happens to Miguel.
(Suddenly, Miguel rides on a donkey like a rodeo.)
Miguel Rivera: Yee-haw!
Luisa Madrigal: Hmm. So that's how rodeo works.
Bruno Madrigal: Yep, that's pretty much it.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, no! I'm gonna fall off!
(Miguel falls off to the path as he laughs happily.)
Luisa Madrigal: (picks Miguel up) I guess you know rodeo. I believe rodeo comes from Texas in America. In Colombia, it's actually called coleo.
Miguel Rivera: Coleo, huh? Well, that's actually a very complex word. In Mexico, it's called charreada. (to Camilo) Tell me about yours, Camilo.
Camilo Madrigal: All right, now, what I can do is this. (shapeshifts into Dolores then himself) See?
Miguel Rivera: Whoa. You're just like Mystique from X-Men.
Camilo Madrigal: I know, right, man? I always love Mystique, too. She's like our favorite character from Marvel.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. That's beautiful. (to Isabela) Do you have powers to conjure flowers and plants?
Isabela Madrigal: Yes. See? (shows Miguel the flower)
Miguel Rivera: Oh, it's lovely. You know I'm not allergic to flowers.
Isabela Madrigal: Oh, I'm glad you love it.
Mirabel Madrigal: I have a gift too, Miguel. I have a power to make the stairs and floor move beneath our feet.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. That's absolutely amazing.
Osvaldo: Good morning. I never noticed that you've came to Colombia, but you're Miguel Rivera from Mexico. I'm Osvaldo, and it's my pleasure to meet you.
Miguel Rivera: It's my pleasure to meet you too, Osvaldo. And what are those?
Osvaldo: Oh, those are the town kids. The one who likes to drink regular coffee.
Miguel Rivera: Hola. I'm Miguel Rivera from Mexico, and this is my dog, Dante.
Dante: (barks)
Coffee Kid: Hola, Dante. And you must be Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: That's right. We drink the same coffee. I drink the one with cream, sugar and ice while you drink regular one. (to Osvaldo) Do they have names?
Osvaldo: Oh, yes. They do have them. Their names are Juancho, Cecilia, and Alejandra.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, yes, Juancho, Cecilia and Alejandra, of course. I knew their names. I'm also a musician like my Papa Hector.
Osvaldo: So, Hector Rivera was a musician and he was your great great grandfather? (chuckles) Wow, he sure looked famous.
Miguel Rivera: Yes, he was. (to the town kids) You know Hector Rivera?
Juancho: Nope, can't say I know.
Miguel Rivera: He was a musician and a great great grandfather. He's famous known for all of his songs, including Remember Me.
Juancho, Cecilia and Alejandra: Wow!
Miguel Rivera: I know, children. That's how he became the greatest musician of all time. Let's cheer on it.
(Miguel and Juancho clink their cups of coffee.)
Miguel and Juancho: Clink.
(Miguel and Juancho take a sip on their coffee.)
Mirabel Madrigal: Oh, Miguel, I think my room looks good. Care to take a look?
Miguel Rivera: Sure. I'll be there.
Juancho, Cecilia and Alejandra: Aww!
Miguel Rivera: Don't worry, kids. You can come over to casita tonight.
Juancho, Cecilia and Alejandra: Oh. Okay.
(The scene goes to Mirabel's room as Miguel, Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela, Antonio, Camilo and Dolores have tea.)
Miguel Rivera: Oh. Excellent tea.
Camilo Madrigal: I know.
Miguel Rivera: What's so special about the tea?
Dolores Madrigal: It's actually made of dry leaves kind of like oolong, black, green, mint, and white.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. That's actually convenient though.
Antonio Madrigal: I know it seems convenient.
Miguel Rivera: Well, anyway, I guess having tea was actually delish. And I'd like to say thanks.
Mirabel Madrigal: No problem.
Isabela Madrigal: (gets an idea) Come with me. I wanna show you my room.
Miguel Rivera: Okay.
(Miguel walks with Isabela to her room. They enter her room as Miguel looks around.)
Miguel Rivera: Wow, look at all those plants and flowers. They seem so lovely.
(Suddenly, the vines grab Miguel's ankles and take off his shoes and socks.)
Miguel Rivera: (hollers) Hey! What's all the commotion about? (the vines grab Miguel's wrists)
Isabela Madrigal: Hold still, Miguel. (the vines tickle Miguel's feet as she tickles Miguel's chest) Tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle.
Miguel Rivera: (laughing hysterically) Hey, take it easy!
Isabela Madrigal: Oh, I'm taking it easy on you, Miguel. Aww, you're such a good boy. Yes, you are! (laughs affectionately) You're just the biggest, sweetest, bravest, young man who loves feet tickles, aren't you? Of course you are. Ooh, you have such lovely smooth skin. Your hair looks really silky. You know I was really such a bad girl, don't you?
Miguel Rivera: (chuckles) Of course I do. And now you're good, sweet, charming, attractive and dashingly romantic.
Isabela Madrigal: (the vines stop and let Miguel go) Aww, that's really sweet of you, Miguel. (hugs Miguel happily)
Mirabel Madrigal: Hmm. You know, you're welcome to sleep with us, Miguel. Just me, Isabela and Luisa. (seduces Miguel) You love me, Luisa and Isabela, don't you?
Miguel Rivera: Yes. Say, shouldn't there be a mistletoe?
Mirabel Madrigal: Uh-huh. (hugs Miguel, gives him 17 kisses and giggles) I just gave you 17 kisses for your 17th birthday. Happy birthday, Miguel. Oh, and when I met Juancho, I told him that only grown ups can drink coffee.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, that's good. Let's take a selfie.
Mirabel Madrigal: You have a phone?
Miguel Rivera: Yeah.
Mirabel Madrigal: Wow. I never knew we had technology such as microwaves, ovens, stoves, laundry machines, televisions, vacuums, and others.
Miguel Rivera: I know, right? Well, anyway, let's take a selfie.
(Miguel takes a selfie with Mirabel, Isabela, Luisa and Dolores who kiss Miguel's face.)
Miguel Rivera: Oh, yes! My first selfie with Mirabel and the Madrigal ladies.
Mirabel Madrigal: That's right. (chuckles) Now we're ready for more selfies!
Miguel Rivera: Sounds good.
(Miguel takes different selfies such as Miguel who flexes his arm with Luisa as they wink, Miguel who has paint on his face and color on his hair with Isabela, Miguel who puckers his lips with Dolores as they wink and leave a peace sign, Miguel who makes funny faces with Antonio and Camilo, and Miguel who plays his guitar with Mirabel who plays her accordion.)
Miguel Rivera: Those selfies go in the gallery.
Dolores Madrigal: Yep, I'll say.
Luisa Madrigal: I knew you'd take selfies with us.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks. So anyway, I hope Mariano will never know the difference.
(The door knocks.)
Bruno Madrigal: Miguel, it's lunch time.
Miguel Rivera: You heard Tio Bruno. It's lunch time.
Luisa Madrigal: Oh, wow. It's lunch.
(Miguel leaves six selfies and a text to his parents where it says, "I just took selfies with me and the Madrigal ladies" with the wink emoji and then Miguel chuckles. At the dining room, Miguel and the Madrigals sit at the table as they see lunch such as tacos, quesadillas, arepas, enchiladas, chimichangas, nachos, rice, fajitas and burritos and they eat. Miguel sits between Mirabel and Isabela across from Luisa, Dolores and Mariano.)
Mirabel Madrigal: Whoa. That's a lot of food from Mexico.
Miguel Rivera: You really think so?
Isabela Madrigal: Yeah, they look awesome. Where'd you learn to cook anyway?
Miguel Rivera: Oh, my parents taught me how to cook food for breakfast, lunch and dinner on my 16th birthday party. Even my grandmother could show me how.
Luisa Madrigal: Wow. You have a family?
Miguel Rivera: Yeah, I have a family from Mexico.
Luisa Madrigal: Wow. They look marvelous. Do you have a car?
Miguel Rivera: Apparently, yes. I have one. My father showed me how to drive and he accepted my driving as he loved it. I wish I could drive here.
Bruno Madrigal: Oh, well, that's fine.
Miguel Rivera: I know, right? I guess having a story could sometimes come in handy.
Bruno Madrigal: And speaking of which, would you like to share your own story with us?
Miguel Rivera: Sure. I'd be very happy to tell you.
Bruno Madrigal: All right, Miguel, let's hear it. How does your story go?
Miguel Rivera: My story begins when I was 12 years old. I was working at a shoemaking factory as a shoemaker in Santa Cecilia, Mexico. We were shoemakers when we make shoes.
Dolores Madrigal: Wow. A shoemaking factory? That's incredible.
Miguel Rivera: I know, right? Anyway, my grandmother, Elena may look good on the outside, but on the inside, she forbade me from music.
Mirabel Madrigal: Whoa. That's almost like how I never had a door when I was a little girl.
Miguel Rivera: Pretty much like that, Mirabel. During my life, I tried to listen to music and play it like when I blew on an empty soda bottle glass and listen to it from the Pizza Planet delivery truck, but Elena wouldn't let me. She also scared off the men who were drunk from drinking too much margaritas.
Mariano Guzman: I see. But why was music actually a curse? Does your family hate music or something like that?
Miguel Rivera: You could say that, but there was a reason my family recently had an ancestral ban on music. My great grandmother, Coco, was traumatized when her father, who selfishly pursued his dreams of stardom, abandoned his wife, Imelda and his daughter.
Dolores Madrigal: Yikes. I hope her father wasn't gone in heaven.
Miguel Rivera: You're actually right, Dolores.
Luisa Madrigal: So, what was the name of the musician?
Miguel Rivera: Ernesto De La Cruz, the greatest musician of all time. He was known for his most famous song like Remember Me. He was also an actor who starred in his famous movies. My favorite scene was when Don Hidalgo poisons the drink. He said, (as Don Hidalgo) "This calls for a toast. To our friendship! Ha-ha! I would move heaven and earth for you, mi amigo. Salud!" (normal voice) And then, Ernesto spits the poison out like... (blows air) (as Ernesto) "Poison!" (normal voice) And that's how the fist fight breaks out.
Isabela Madrigal: Ooh. That's gonna hurt in the evening.
Miguel Rivera: I know, right? Anyway, for years, I had a hideout with my dog friend, Dante so I have all of his movies and songs. And that's when the accident happened that changed the lives of Mexico forever.
Mirabel Madrigal: What happened?
Miguel Rivera: In the 1940s, Ernesto was performing Remember Me on stage until the stage manager accidentally switched the lever and the bell instantly crushed him, simply killing him.
Dolores Madrigal: Oh, dear. That's just sad.
Miguel Rivera: I know how sad it sounds, but trust me, that's how it happened. Anyways, when I told my family I was gonna be a musician like Ernesto, we had an argument until Elena smashed a fake guitar to shreds which almost caused me to break into tears until I had to run away to Ernesto's tomb, which I did by breaking the window lock and I entered there. I picked up his guitar and I played it like magic until the security guard came in but goes through me like a ghost. When I fell down, I saw those living skeletons who came from the Land of the Dead and I met my ancestors such as Rosita, Julio, Oscar and Felipe, Victoria, and their leader Imelda.
Luisa Madrigal: You've met your own ancestors from the Land of the Dead?
Miguel Rivera: Yeah, I have. Julio was my great grandfather, Rosita was my auntie, Oscar and Felipe were my uncles, Victoria was my auntie, and Imelda was my great-great-grandmother.
Isabela Madrigal: Wow. Who knew meeting skeletons would be such a good thing?
Miguel Rivera: That would be me, though. Anyway, when we were walking on the Marigold Bridge, I saw someone disguise himself as an artist Frida Kahlo in another attempt to get across the Marigold Bridge. Unfortunately, he was caught by the security guards as they took him to the office.
Dolores Madrigal: Hmm. I never thought that someone had been caught by the guards.
Miguel Rivera: Like you wouldn't believe. Anyway, while that goes on, Imelda gave me her blessing at the office as she gave me the petal and then I returned the tomb. Suddenly, the magic petals worked. After I returned to the Land of the Dead with my magic guitar, I ran into a guy named Hector.
Mirabel Madrigal: Who's Hector?
Miguel Rivera: He's a skeleton who wanted to go see his child, which he had a time limit so I have to see Ernesto as my great-great-grandfather.
Luisa Madrigal: (confused) Wait, wait, wait. Let me get this straight, you wanted to see Ernesto De La Cruz as your great-great-grandfather? Sounds like you're actually rushing things, don't you think?
Miguel Rivera: I believe so, Luisa. Anyway, when we saw Imelda and her family coming for me, Hector and I had to hide under the bridge so Hector put a skeleton makeup on my face.
Bruno Madrigal: Wow. I never knew you had a skeleton makeup on your face.
Miguel Rivera: I know, right? Anyway, we had to enter Frida's art studio so she could show me the rehearsal for the show called Ernesto's Sunrise Spectacular. I told her that the band could go something like... (hums)
Mirabel Madrigal: Ooh. That sounds like a perfect show and a perfect rehearsal. Who knew those skeletons could talk when you used the magic guitar?
Miguel Rivera: I did. Anyway, after we went to Frida's, we had to go to the huts for forgotten skeletons who forget their descendants as we met his friend Chicharron who was fading because he disappeared from the Land of the Dead. Afterwards, Hector and I went to the contest to win the prize. He told me to shake my nerves like this. (shakes his nerves off and ululates)
Dolores Madrigal: Wow. That was actually incredible, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: Thank you. When I went upstage, I sang Un Poco Loco with Hector and I won the contest and the crowd cheered for us. After that, we saw the Riveras and their winged jaguar alebrije Pepita, which actually translates to pumpkin seed in Spanish. When I told Hector to run, we had another argument like my family did. I dumped Hector and ran away but I was encountered by Imelda and Pepita. I ran through the city, but she sang La Llorona and I never believed her.
Camilo Madrigal: Well, that explains the whole story.
Miguel Rivera: I know, right? Anyway, I went to his lavish party and I introduced myself to Ernesto who cheerfully welcomed me as his great-great-grandson. We had a perfect tour at the party. As he was about to give me his blessing, Hector showed up there as well. But when Hector saw what happened, he remembered that night when he left.
Antonio Madrigal: Really? What happened that night?
Miguel Rivera: Hector and Ernesto had been performing on the road for months, but he got homesick and he packed up his songs so he wanted to give up when they're this close to reaching their dream. After the argument, Ernesto sent Hector off with a toast. When they drank tequila, he walked him to the train station, but Hector felt a pain in his stomach. It was something he ate like a chorizo, a Mexican-style sausage or something he drank. And that's how Ernesto killed Hector by poisoning the drink and he took his songs to become famous along with his guitar after he did the unthinkable.
Pepa Madrigal: Oh, my goodness. That sounds like a bizarre twist.
Miguel Rivera: Yes, it does. Well, anyway, Ernesto took Hector's portrait as he betrayed me and Hector and we've been thrown into the cenote pit by the guards. While we were down there, Hector began to fade as he was about to be forgotten by his daughter Coco. When he looked at the photo, he sang Remember Me, not for the world but for Coco. And as a matter of fact, Hector was my real great-great-grandfather after all.
Felix Madrigal: Wow! I'm glad you've met your real great-great-grandfather.
Miguel Rivera: (chuckles) Thank you, Tio Felix. I'm glad you'd understand the truth. Anyway, when Imelda and Pepita took us out of the pit, we met the Riveras once again. I told Imelda what happened to Hector that Coco was forgetting him. I also told her not to forgive him, but my family wouldn't forget him. Hector told Imelda that it was his fault and he was sorry. Imelda couldn't forgive him, but she would help him. We infiltrated his sunrise concert with the aid of Frida. When we got our petals ready, she confronted Ernesto as she smacked his face with her boot saying, "That's for murdering the love of my life! And that's for trying to murder my grandson!"
Mirabel Madrigal: (winces) I can understand the truth of that.
Miguel Rivera: I know, right? Anyway, we had a chase and we fought the guards until Imelda caught the photo and the floor lifted her up onstage. We saw her ready to get caught by the guards, but she sang La Llorona. After she sang and took Hector's photo, she was ready to accept his blessing to never forget how much my family loves me. As I was about to retrieve the petal, Ernesto grabbed me by the hoodie.
Senora Guzman: Oh, my.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, my is right. While that goes on, Victoria and Rosita recorded to what Ernesto said that he was the greatest musician. I told him that Hector was the real musician and called him the guy who murdered him and stole his songs. But he grabbed my shirt and threw me off the cliff. Dante tried to rescue me, but I accidentally lost Hector's photo into the water and Pepita rescued me. When the show went on, Ernesto had been a fraud, traitor, thief and murderer. The audience booed and jeered as the conductor broke the baton. When Pepita showed up, she headbutted Ernesto off the stage and grabbed him by the pelvis. Then she tossed Ernesto in the air and swatted him out of the arena with her tail and then Ernesto got crushed by the bell from the bell tower, echoing his first death.
Mirabel Madrigal: Looks like Ernesto went out with a Taco Bell bong. (laughs)
Dolores Madrigal: (laughs) That's very good, Mirabel.
Miguel Rivera: (laughs) Yep, he sure did. After his demise, the sunrise is about to set as Hector almost died and Imelda placed the petal on me and I was sent back to Land of the Living. In the morning, I quickly grabbed Hector's guitar and ran into Coco's room by locking the door. I told her to wake up, but it was almost too late. When the door is unlocked, my family showed up and I stopped them. My grandmother told me to play Remember Me, which I did, as Coco moved slowly and she sang along and showed me the photo that was a little bit ripped and I reassembled the photo, revealing it to be Hector with his wife Imelda and their daughter Coco. (sighs) And that's how she passed away afterwards.
Luisa Madrigal: Wow. That was the happiest moment of your life, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: Yeah, it was happy. One year later, after Coco passed away, my mother, Luisa gave birth to my younger sister, Socorro, as I showed her the portraits of my ancestors during the Day of the Dead. Dante returned along with a cat as I happily sang Proud Corazon when I turned 13 and I was really happy to see my ancestors and we all lived happily ever after.
Mirabel Madrigal: That's awesome! You know, your story is inspiring, Miguel, showing Mexicans what you can do.
Miguel Rivera: I'm glad you all loved my story. And you're all welcome to visit Santa Cecilia in Mexico whenever you like. I'll even put a good word with my Abuela Elena so she knows to expect you all.
Mirabel Madrigal: Sure thing, Miguel.
Camilo Madrigal: Well, that's a great way to end the story. But you know, not all of us were so fortunate to get our family member back like you did.
Miguel Rivera: Really?
Julieta Madrigal: Yes, it's true. While you were able to see your ancestors again, most of us here haven't.
Abuela Madrigal: Like me for example, my husband sacrificed himself to be killed by the soldiers when they were babies.
Miguel Rivera: Aww, I am so sorry for your loss, Tia Alma.
(Miguel Rivera goes up to Abuela and gives her a heartwarming hug.)
Abuela Madrigal: Thank you very much for your support, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: You're very welcome, Alma. And I'd like to thank you all for being such an inspiration to my family.
Luisa Madrigal: It's no problem, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: Well, everyone, since I've told you my story, I'd like to hear yours.
Isabela Madrigal: Sure, Miguel. We'd be very happy to tell you ours.
Miguel Rivera: All right, let's hear it. How does your story go?
Mirabel Madrigal: Our story starts when I was a little girl. My grandmother showed me the Miracle Candle as she told me the story of how the miracle began. She gave it to me and she showed me the door that I was attended to touch it, but it began to fade.
Miguel Rivera: Hmm. Well, that's kind of odd.
Mirabel Madrigal: I know, right? Well anyway, years go by when I grew up, my family and I just intended to a party while I sang "The Family Madrigal" as I met the town kids like Juancho, the one who loves to drink regular coffee, Alejandra and Cecilia. There's Luisa who has super strength powers, Isabela who conjures flowers and plants, Dolores who has super sensibility hearing, Camilo who has shapeshifting abilities, Antonio who has the ability to call animals, Julieta who makes magical healing arepas, and Pepa who has weather to change moods.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. I guess I knew them from this morning.
Mirabel Madrigal: I'm glad you've known us. Well, anyway, after the song ends, I also became a musician just like you. You have your great-great-grandfather's guitar and I have an accordion. And tonight, we'll become the musician duo. Osvaldo showed up as he ordered me to decorate the house for the party. Isabela gave her Tia Pepa and Tio Felix flowers and while I talked to her, she left as I bumped into the pillar. The crowd came to the party for the gift of our cousin, Antonio as Camilo greeted them while he shape shifted into other people. Luisa gave a kid a piggyback ride while Isabela danced for the crowd. Maybe you can dance with Isabela when you play your great-great-grandfather's guitar while I play my accordion.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks, Mirabel. I would appreciate it very much.
Mirabel Madrigal: You're entirely welcome, Miguel. Afterwards, the ceremony started as Antonio touched the Miracle Candle and he had a real door and a real room after I showed him a jaguar plush toy and then he saw the jungle room as a playground as Isabela's suitor, Mariano Guzman came with his mother, Senora Ozma. And that's how I sang my popular song called "Waiting on a Miracle".
Miguel Rivera: Ooh, I'll bet that's the loveliest song.
Mirabel Madrigal: Well, in that case, would you like to listen to it from your phone so you can sing along?
Miguel Rivera: Sure, Mirabel. I'd be glad to listen to it. But first, let me check on my phone.
(Miguel checks on his phone to see a new message from Enrique as the message says, "Wow, Miguel, I'm glad you've met the Madrigals the first time. Hope you'll return by Saturday morning. Good luck with that" with a happy emoji. Miguel plays "Waiting on a Miracle" from his phone as he listens to it and sings along with Mirabel and then the song ends.)
Mirabel Madrigal: So, what'd you think?
Miguel Rivera: That was breathtaking. And it's one of the most breathtaking songs of all time.
Mirabel Madrigal: (chuckles) Glad you love it.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks. So, what happened after your song?
Mirabel Madrigal: After the song ended, I saw a broken vase as I picked up a shard so I accidentally cut my hand and then the casita began to shake and crack.
Miguel Rivera: (wincing) Ooh! That's a nasty wound.
Mirabel Madrigal: Yes, indeed. Afterwards, I had to tell my Mama Julieta to heal my palm but she gave me an arepa which I did by biting into it and it healed like magic.
Miguel Rivera: Hmm. I'm honestly surprised that I bit into an arepa to heal my leg.
Luisa Madrigal: Of course it did. The next morning, when Mirabel saw Camilo in his form as Dolores, he changed himself back and we had breakfast. A neighbor told me that the donkeys got out of the barn so I had to take them back. When Mirabel alerted me, I told her that I'm not totally nervous when anything would go wrong. And that's how I sang my second popular song called "Surface Pressure".
Miguel Rivera: Wow. So that's how Surface Pressure became another popular song.
Luisa Madrigal: Yes, it did. So, would you like to listen to it while you sing along?
Miguel Rivera: Absolutely.
(Miguel Rivera listens to "Surface Pressure" from his phone as he sings along with Luisa and then the song ends.)
Luisa Madrigal: Well, what do you think of mine?
Miguel Rivera: I love it! So, I have three questions. One, how come you bust the rocks with your hips like John Henry? Two, why does Mariano dress up like Hercules? And three, why does your eye twitch?
Luisa Madrigal: Oh, uh, I have three answers. One, I sure can do that where John Henry was exhausted. Two, I'm sure he did dress up like Hercules. And three, I'm sure it can do that sometimes.
Miguel Rivera: Huh. So that explains a lot.
Luisa Madrigal: After I sang my song, Mirabel hugged me and thanked me for everything.
Mirabel Madrigal: While she works on that, I had to break into Bruno's room with the help of Antonio's toucan friend, Pico. I found a vision that supposedly showed me being the cause of the house cracking apart and I escaped from a giant sand-filled cave. When I had to show them to Pepa and Felix, Abuela told me about all this but I told her that everything's fine.
Luisa Madrigal: And not only that, my strength began to fade from my door when I broke down crying. I told them that I tried to do my family's chores but it failed and I was running off sobbing uncontrollably.
Miguel Rivera: (holds Luisa's hands) Oh, Luisa, I'm really sorry that it's such a shame.
Luisa Madrigal: I know it's a shame, Miguel, and I appreciate that very much.
Miguel Rivera: I know, Luisa. (lets go of Luisa's hands; to Felix) Now what happened after Luisa's power failed?
Felix Madrigal: Mirabel told me that she was carrying a vision in her bag, but we told her that we shouldn't talk about someone named Bruno. And that's how we sang our third popular song called "We Don't Talk About Bruno".
Miguel Rivera: Hmm. So I guess it won an Academy Award for Best Original Song?
Dolores Madrigal: Well, yes, it did during the Oscars 2022 show. And would you like to sing along to our song while you listen to it?
Miguel Rivera: Sure, Dolores. I'd be very happy to sing along to "We Don't Talk About Bruno". Before we sing along, what happened on your wedding day?
Pepa Madrigal: Well, it was a hurricane when Bruno came in and he recently interrupted it after I was about to get ready.
Miguel Rivera: Huh. I never thought of that.
Camilo Madrigal: Then let's go.
(Miguel plays the song "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from his phone as he sings along to it with Pepa, Felix, Dolores, Camilo and Isabela and then the song ends.)
Dolores Madrigal: Well, what do you think of our song?
Miguel Rivera: It was absolutely amazing. (to Isabela) I love the way you swing on vines.
Isabela Madrigal: Oh, thanks.
Miguel Rivera: Now what happened after your song?
Luisa Madrigal: Well, I tried to lift a piano, but it didn't work and I was crying so hard on the floor like a big baby after I had to hold my sadness in during dinner after I tried to lift an empanada.
Mariano Guzman: When Mirabel showed us Bruno's vision, I was about to ask Isabela to marry me as I showed her the ring, but a vine smacked me right on the nose.
Miguel Rivera: Ouch! That's gonna hurt in the morning.
Mirabel Madrigal: It sure was. And after that, my whole family blamed me and never believed me while Luisa called herself a loser. That was until I had to chase Bruno who had helped me from being close to my death.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. I knew Bruno rescued you like a hero.
Bruno Madrigal: Of course I did. And that's how I've been disliked by my own family after what happened on Pepa's wedding day. I even had ego names like Hernando and Jorge since the patching's been done.
Miguel Rivera: Well, that sounds interesting.
Antonio Madrigal: I know it does. Anyway, I entered his room as I told Parce not to eat Tio Bruno's rats and so he did.
Miguel Rivera: Hmm. Now that's not something you see every day. So, what happened next?
Mirabel Madrigal: Well, Bruno saw another vision of Isabela and I furiously hated her and it stopped. Bruno took me out of his room and he told me to go to Isabela's room and I did.
Isabela Madrigal: I told her that Luisa couldn't lift an empanada and Mariano's nose was crushed like a smashed papaya and she was absolutely out of her own mind. I told Mirabel to apologize or else she would get out of my room.
Mirabel Madrigal: When I was ready to apologize, Isabela said to me...
Isabela Madrigal: Go on. Apologize. Apologize for ruining my life.
Miguel Rivera: You're dang right about that, Isabela.
Isabela Madrigal: Oh, thanks, Miguel. I knew you'd understand. And that's how Mirabel and I sang our fourth popular song, What Else Can I Do after we forgave each other and hugged right after a vine dragged her by the ankle.
Miguel Rivera: Whoa. That sounds catchy to me.
Mirabel Madrigal: Well, then. Go ahead and play it.
(Miguel plays the song "What Else Can I Do" on his phone as he sings along with Isabela and Mirabel until the song ends.)
Isabela Madrigal: So, Miguel, what do you think?
Miguel Rivera: That... was... amazing! And your dress looks colorful. I know the spots. Red means stop, yellow means slow, and green means go.
Isabela Madrigal: Wow, Miguel, I'm glad you know so much about traffic safety. And thanks, it does look colorful as you mentioned that earlier.
Miguel Rivera: My pleasure. Now, what happened after your song?
Mirabel Madrigal: After our song ended, Abuela and I had an argument like when you and Hector had an argument back in the Land of the Dead until our house began to crack and crumble as I tried to grab the candle, but it disappeared as I ran away while my family mourned when their powers are gone.
Abuela Madrigal: I showed up and found her at the river. I mentioned that the river was where my husband, Pedro perished and admitted that everything was indeed my fault. I saw that I forgot that what made everyone special was that we were a family.
Miguel Rivera: Really? What happened to Pedro?
Abuela Madrigal: Pedro and I were married and I gave birth to three babies until the soldiers showed up and Pedro sacrificed himself and I mourned his death.
Miguel Rivera: (holds Abuela's hands) Oh, Alma. I'm really sorry about your husband.
Abuela Madrigal: It's okay, Miguel. I appreciate your expression about how I feel after my husband's sacrifice.
Miguel Rivera: (lets go of Abuela's hands) Thanks. So, continue with the story.
Mirabel Madrigal: You're welcome, Miguel, and yes, I recognized the burdens Abuela carried having to build up the family alone. Now understanding each other better, Abuela and I reconciled and shared a hug before Tio Bruno appeared, attempting to take the blame for what happened to the house.
Miguel Rivera: Aww, now that's sweet.
Bruno Madrigal: I know, right? Anyways, I reconciled with my madre and the rest of my family, admitting to Pepa that me mentioning rain on her wedding day wasn't actually a prediction, just me joking about how much she was sweating.
Miguel Rivera: Wow, now I understand the whole truth.
Luisa Madrigal: Yep, I'm glad you know the truth. And we all decided to fix the house together while my sisters shared a hug with me.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, now that's beautiful.
Mirabel Madrigal: As beautiful as it seems. Anyways, the entire village soon arrived to help as thanked for all the family had done for them. After we completed the house, I added the doorknob my family made just for me to the front door, which caused the house to spring back to life, and the magic returned.
Miguel Rivera: (claps his hands) Hooray!
Mirabel Madrigal: (giggles) Yep, it did return indeed. The citizens came to see the casita alive again, Dolores and Mariano started a relationship since it was revealed that Dolores always had a crush on Mariano.
Miguel Rivera: (to Dolores) Wow, I'm glad you've started your relationship with Mariano.
Dolores Madrigal: (chuckles) Thanks, Miguel. And there's one more piece of the good news. Mariano and I are officially married!
Miguel Rivera: Wow! Congratulations, Dolores. That's really good news. And you're gonna be a mom.
Dolores Madrigal: I know, right? I'm pregnant and I'm gonna have six babies if the time comes so you can come to the hospital and check out our babies when I'd give birth to them.
Miguel Rivera: That's a lot of babies. Sure thing. (to Mirabel) Now, what happened next?
Mirabel Madrigal: We got our gifts back, but instead of using the gifts to be perfect, we're now finally able to use them the way we want. And Bruno's welcomed back to the family and we all get together for a family picture, this time with all the members, including me and Bruno, and we all lived happily ever after.
Miguel Rivera: Wow! That's the happiest ending to the most perfect story, and I find your story both amazing and heartwarming.
Mirabel Madrigal: Aww, thanks, I really appreciate that, Miguel!
Miguel Rivera: You're very welcome, Mirabel. And you all deserve a hug from me.
Abuela Madrigal: Oh, of course. Thank you, Miguel Rivera.
(Miguel stands up and walks to the Madrigal family, who pull Miguel into a deep hug as Miguel sighs happily and smiles.)
Miguel Rivera: And I could say the same for your story.
Mirabel Madrigal: Well, thank you very much, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: You're very welcome, Mirabel. Well, everybody, now that we've finished our stories, let's go back to our lunch before it becomes cold. And after lunch, we can play with each other like a happy family.
Bruno Madrigal: Sure thing. Oh, and we have electric outlets.
(Miguel and the Madrigals resume their lunch and the scene fades to Miguel who plays with Madrigal grandchildren. Miguel plays monster with Antonio. Antonio walks the stairs as he jumps then Miguel catches him and they both laugh. Miguel lifts the weights with Luisa.)
Luisa Madrigal: That's very good. Work them, Miguel. Keep it up. You're doing good.
(Miguel chuckles as he and Dolores dance with each other to tango. Miguel gives Parce belly rubs as he purrs and rolls around in Miguel's lap. Miguel dances with Isabela, Luisa, Antonio, Dolores, Camilo and Mirabel who plays an accordion as he plays his guitar while Agustin, Julieta, Felix, Pepa, Mariano, Senora, Abuela and Bruno watch them.)
Agustin Madrigal: Wow. Looks like Miguel's getting along with our daughters, nephews and niece.
Felix Madrigal: When's the last time we ever invited the Mexicans?
Pepa Madrigal: Remember when Miguel used to play with his Mama Coco?
Agustin Madrigal: I love Mexico.
Julieta Madrigal: It's far away from here.
Agustin Madrigal: It was basic. You took a map, you traveled there, done.
Bruno Madrigal: Hmm. That's the first time my family and I have a party this week.
Mariano Guzman: I don't know, I just thought inviting a Mexican was such a good idea.
Abuela Madrigal: Oh, you sure did, though. Miguel loves my grandchildren, so that makes a lot of sense.
Miguel Rivera: Wow, I never thought I'd actually make a perfect musician duo.
Abuela Madrigal: Miguel, we have some great news. We've just baked you up a birthday cake. So you better get ready this Friday, Miguel. And you're welcome to sleep with my granddaughters.
Miguel Rivera: Really, Alma? Really?
Abuela Madrigal: Si.
Miguel Rivera: Awesome!
Abuela Madrigal: And that's not all, we've baked Bruno up an apology cake.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, wow, I love cakes. (chuckles)
Isabela Madrigal: Of course, you do. Oh, we have a special place where you can put your suitcase. Would you like to see it?
Miguel Rivera: Sure.
(Miguel walks with Isabela as they arrive at Mirabel's room.)
Isabela Madrigal: Here we are, Miguel. Just for you.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, wow. Thanks.
Isabela Madrigal: Don't mention it.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, I have something to question.
Isabela Madrigal: Yes?
Miguel Rivera: I think Surface Pressure surely sounds similar to Killshot by Eminem and Open Door by Mike Shinoda. Do you think they both sound similar?
Isabela Madrigal: Uh, it's not original, but it's true. They do sound similar to Surface Pressure.
Miguel Rivera: Well, what do you know? Oh, could you show me how the vine nose smack works?
Isabela Madrigal: Uh, no, that'll be unnecessary. But how about a... (pounces Miguel and tickles him) Tickle attack!
Miguel Rivera: (laughing uncontrollably) Hey, settle down now, I'm really ticklish in here.
Dolores Madrigal: Oh, you are, honey. (follows suit)
Miguel Rivera: Oh, no! Help! I'm being tickled by the Madrigal ladies! Please, I'm gonna cough! Stop! Please! (continues to laugh)
Dolores Madrigal: All right, we'll stop.
(Isabela and Dolores stop.)
Isabela Madrigal: There. So, how did that feel?
Miguel Rivera: It felt funny. Oh, by the way, I believe I actually have a dimple here. See?
Isabela and Dolores Madrigal: Ooh.
Mirabel Madrigal: Did you say, "you have a dimple"?
Miguel Rivera: Yeah.
Mirabel Madrigal: Wow. How delightful.
Julieta Madrigal: Miguel, I think Pepa, Bruno and I have just made a decision. What would you think about, uh, Pizza Planet?
Miguel Rivera: Pizza Planet? Awesome!
Julieta Madrigal: It sure does sound awesome. I think we just ordered one medium cheese pizza, one medium pepperoni pizza and 15 breadsticks. Hope you'll love that kind of pizza.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks, Tia Julieta.
Julieta Madrigal: No problem, Miguel. Now, go wash your hands and they'll be here in 30 minutes or less.
Miguel Rivera: Okay, Tia Julieta! (to Luisa) Oh, and Luisa.
Luisa Madrigal: Yes, Miguel?
Miguel Rivera: (feels Luisa's abs) You have such rock hard abs. Do you work out?
Luisa Madrigal: Well, yes. And thank you. I do have rock hard abs.
Miguel Rivera: I wish I could be buff like you.
Luisa Madrigal: Maybe you will, Miguel. Someday.
Miguel Rivera: (hugs Luisa) I love you, Luisa Madrigal. You're my best cousin a Mexican could ever have.
Luisa Madrigal: Aww! (hugs Miguel back) You are such a good boy. Yes, you are! (laughs affectionately) Are you really tired of being banned from music in Santa Cecilia? (Miguel nods his head) Nobody appreciates you, do they, Miguel? Do they? (Miguel shakes his head) See, Mirabel? He's really nothing but a sweet, young man. Isabela was right. You are indeed the biggest, sweetest, bravest young man from Mexico. (kisses Miguel's cheek) Well, you better wash your hands now, Miguel, because the pizzas should be here anytime soon.
Miguel Rivera: Yes, Luisa.
(Miguel goes to the bathroom as he washes his hands with soap for 20 seconds until he's finished as he dries his hands with paper towels.)
Miguel Rivera: That's better. Hey, Tio Bruno, how many bathrooms are there?
Bruno Madrigal: Oh, I think there are four bathrooms to share.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, yeah. I see. Plenty of bathrooms to share for us. Thanks.
Bruno Madrigal: My pleasure.
Miguel Rivera: (comes out of the bathroom) I got my hands washed, Tia Julieta.
Julieta Madrigal: Good boy.
Miguel Rivera: Hey, Luisa.
Luisa Madrigal: Yeah?
Miguel Rivera: Could you show me how to do bicep tricks?
Luisa Madrigal: Sure. When you're big enough to impress me and my sisters.
Miguel Rivera: (notices Maria) Oh. Hey there. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Miguel Rivera of Santa Cecilia, Mexico.
Maria: Good to see you. (rubs Miguel's hair)
Miguel Rivera: (chuckles) Wow.
Maria: Oh, I believe you seem like a nice young man. I'm Maria, by the way.
Miguel Rivera: See, kids? I told you you'd come to the casita.
Juancho: Gracias, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: No problem.
Antonio Madrigal: Oh, hey, Miguel.
Miguel Rivera: Si, Antonio?
Antonio Madrigal: Before the pizza arrives, I'd like you to meet my animal friends. There's Chispi the capybara, a scarlet macaw, hummingbirds, coatis, a boa, and a tapir.
Miguel Rivera: (pets Chispi) Hey there, Chispi. I knew you could talk to those animal friends of yours.
Antonio Madrigal: Oh, thanks. I thought so, too.
Miguel Rivera: Hey, Dante. It's Chispi the capybara. And there's Antonio's animal friends. So, go play along with Parce while I pet Chispi and others.
Dante: (barks and plays nice with Parce)
Parce: (meows happily)
Miguel Rivera: So, that's how friendship works, huh, Antonio?
Antonio Madrigal: Si, that's precisely how it works.
Miguel Rivera: Yeah. Oh, Mariano.
Mariano Guzman: Yes, Miguel?
Miguel Rivera: Would you mind if I take a selfie with you and Senora Ozma?
Mariano Guzman: Uh, no. No, not at all.
Miguel Rivera: All right, let's do it.
(Miguel looks at the camera with Mariano and Senora Ozma as she smiles while Miguel and Mariano flex their arms and wink, and then Miguel takes a selfie.)
Mariano Guzman: So, how do we look? (sees a picture of them flexing their arms and winking) Wow, we look amazing.
Senora Guzman: Oh, Miguel, may I take another one with you right after Mariano takes another one?
Miguel Rivera: Si.
Mariano Guzman: Well, if that's the case, may I take another one?
Miguel Rivera: Yeah. Let's do that.
(Miguel takes two selfies with Miguel and Mariano who place each other's arm on their shoulder and Miguel and Senora Guzman as she kisses Miguel on the forehead. And then Miguel sends two of them to Enrique.)
Miguel Rivera: Yes, victory.
Julieta Madrigal: Miguel, pizza's almost here.
Miguel Rivera: All right, finally.
Pepa Madrigal: Make sure to wash your hands again after selfies.
Miguel Rivera: Sure, Tia Pepa.
(Miguel takes four selfies with Miguel who makes a funny expression with Agustin, Felix and Bruno, Miguel who earns two kisses on the cheeks from Julieta and Pepa, Miguel who shares a kiss on Julieta's cheek and Miguel who rubs his head against Pepa. Miguel sends four of them to Enrique.)
Miguel Rivera: Now that's what I call a family meeting.
Pepa Madrigal: You can say that again.
Miguel Rivera: Oh, well, might as well wash my hands again.
Julieta Madrigal: Go right ahead.
Miguel Rivera: Thanks, Tia Julieta.
Julieta Madrigal: No problem.
(Miguel goes to the restroom and washes his hands again. The scene goes to Miguel and the Madrigals who have pizza for dinner.)
Miguel Rivera: So, uh, what's on the ingredients?
Felix Madrigal: Oh, this one's got pepperoni and mushrooms with light sauce, that one's got spinach and mushroom, and that one's got sausage and mushroom, and that one's got pepperoni and sausage. Not to mention, my wife ordered breadsticks and cinnamon sticks with icing.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. How convenient.
Luisa Madrigal: As convenient as it is.
Miguel Rivera: So, Mirabel, do you like pizza?
Mirabel Madrigal: Like it? I love it.
Miguel Rivera: Wow. (to Isabela) I never thanked you for calling your sister a bad influence.
Isabela Madrigal: Well, I never thanked you for calling Ernesto de la Cruz a coward.
