from a fic standpoint i know myself and many others have most often incorporated callum's memory being very good (especially with visual surroundings) but not perfect when it comes to word/conversations, in spite of post-s1 tweets that he has a photogenic memory, simply because we 1) see him forget things he tells other people ("who told you that?" "you did"), 2) forget things other people tell him (4x01 with the guard and council meeting"), and 3) look up spells he presumably read and wrote by hand in his spellbook (s4, s5) but i realized today his memory can't be perfect because of two emphasized examples in S5

1) Callum remembers he saw something about a spell that can restore bodies to lost spirits in the Great Bookery, but doesn't remember precisely what it is (hence why he has to take more time and subsequently risk their lives) and why even once finding it, Amaya has to drag him away from the page (which is mostly a picture and barely has any writing on it, anyway)

2) And if he had a literally perfect memory, he wouldn't have to try and peek at the Aaravos poem going, because just a second would've been enough. But it isn't, even if he's definitely smarter (and a little bit craftier) than Viren in trying to steal a peek to see if he can outsmart the magic rather than just giving up

And look at how cute he is!!

So yeah, canonically, Callum's memory is very good and definitely better at most people's (especially when it comes to turning visual things into art) but is not perfect

I love the headcanon that Kaeya's corset is actually a back brace

In general I just love the idea that Kaeya has chronic pain and illness.

He's already got an eye patch! Yeah his eye "is fine" apparently, but it was hurt in The Fight™ with Diluc, and you know what Diluc fights with? Fire and a claymore. I'm not an eye expert but I'm pretty sure being hit in the eye with fire will cause at the very least some lasting damage. Canonically Kaeya can can still see out of it, so perhaps severe light sensitivity, maybe blurry vision to the point of vertigo.

But something about the corset being a back brace is near and dear to my heart. I love it! I've read it in so many fics and all these amazing writers come up with so many different reasons he need it, and I think it's lovely (lmfao I sound like a sadist).

Did he get it during The Fight™ when Diluc's burst slammed him into a rock, rendering him unable to move away fast enough before the next attack?

Did he get it when they were teenagers, when protecting his brother and captain from an incoming attack, making Diluc overly protective of him in the ranks for a good while, because gods know Kaeya himself had no self-preservation instinct and would do it again without hesitation?

Did he get it even earlier, when they were mere children, falling off the winery's roof because him and his brother were being silly little boys who didn't know better than to climb so high when playing pirates?

#i just love that headcanon #i think its important to have characters with pains illnesses and disabilities because theyre far more common than such media makes us thin #and this headcanon in particular fits the character so well #Keaya is known for 'slacking' but he's also seen as a great hard worker by some (namely Jean (his literal boss))#so maybe all that 'slacking' is really just him taking it easy and y'know coping and trying to stay awake and okay #and also hes one of the smartest and most tactical people in Mondstadt (being quartermaster and all)#and corsets even when fitted perfectly come with some movement limitations #so why would Kaeya purposefully give himself that disadvantage if it wasn't absolutely necessary??#i just think it a neat little headcanon #my communal stash of kaeya #kaeya alberich #kaeya #diluc #diluc ragnvindr #ragbros

#em is posting about temeraire #I do not know Where anything is or Who anyone is or What anything is and hypothetically these things should be explained by the book #but also I would like a Little Help and Visual-Spatial Understanding #what I am wishing for at this time is a Big Fucking Brick of a Book which has Maps and Illustrations and Scale Drawings #which. I do have one of those for the aubreyad and that's how I got informed about ***** ******** ***** ** * ******** ********#so it is not entirely a Good and Fun thing to have one of those #but also I have 'if it's bigger than a horse I can't conceptualize it well' kind of brain which is Hard with both ships and dragons #hey waitaminute I just remembered the fact that my very second piece of Polished aubreyad art (circa 2020) has dragons in it #y'know what lacking this maybe I will try to go back to the Very Scary Bookstore sometime soonishly #and see if they still have that copy of the hornblower companion... hardly anyone goes into that bookstore so I think they very well might #(very nearly everything about that bookstore frightens me but they have really neat stuff there! real copy of porto bello gold!#the hornblower editions with the scratchboard covers! lynd-ward-illustrated master of ballantrae!)

Cis people, your bodies produce both estrogen and testosterone, and your body needs a mixture of both sex hormones (this is why hormone therapies work for trans people!).

Your body produces a mixture of estrogen and testosterone, and you might find that your body needs a different combination than others. That's okay; your body isn't bad for it. If you find that you're a cis woman and your body produces a higher level of testosterone than other cis women, that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you've been experiencing adverse affects because of it, though, you have ways of treating that, so please don't feel like you need to be quiet about it. You also don't need to take HRT if you don't want to. The same goes for cis men and estrogen, y'all do what's best for you.

Our sex hormones do different things for our bodies. Your body is not bad if it produces different levels of testosterone and/or estrogen. If, however, you'd like to change your hormone levels, please seek out guidance. There are people out there who can help you. Just know that your body is worthy no matter what. The idea that your body is "less" of a man or woman because of the hormone levels you do or don't have is bullshit. Your body exists as a man/woman, and no force can change that.

#sometimes it seems like people forget that ALL bodies have testosterone and estrogen #and it's another reason why testosterone AND estrogen aren't 'bad hormones'#i'm on testosterone and i STILL have estrogen in my body because it is a sex neutral hormone #it isn't like cis women have a monopoly on having estrogen in their bodies y'know?#it's just that cis women TEND to have a higher level of estrogen than others might #a post for the like... two or three cis people who follow me LOL <3 #there's a stereotype that trans people hate cis people for being cis but like... i think y'all are neat. but that's a different post
