Chris sighs as he sits on the end of the bed in his hotel room. He's never been this nervous before in his life. Okay, maybe he's exaggerating a little bit, but this is big.
He and Sebastian have been dating each other for the better part of a year, and they've managed to keep it secret from the public eye. How he isn't sure, but that’s beside the point.
They've agreed that now is the time to make it official with the fans and the press. Both of their managers have also told them that this will be good for publicity.
So, that brings him here, in a hotel in San Diego, California, only an hour away from coming out to the biggest comic-con crowd in the United States.
A soft knock on the door brings him back to reality, and he stands up to answer it. He knows it's Seb. No one else other than the hotel staff knows he's here and he didn't order room service.
Chris opens the door and is met with a sleepy-looking Sebastian. He's just wearing black jeans and a dark grey sweater, but it still takes his breath away.
"Wow...you look..."
His boyfriend steps past him into the room so he can shut the door. "Tired? I know...I barely slept."
"I was going to say beautiful, sweetheart, but if it makes you feel any better, I'm equally exhausted. I can't sleep without you next to me."
Sebastian blushes at the compliment and smiles brightly, "you're such a sap, Evans." His hands settle on the blonde's waist and he presses a slow and sweet kiss on his lips, "but I love that about you. You're so good to me, baby."
Chris cradles his face and kisses him back fervently. "I'll always be good to you, honey. I love you, Sebastian."
They bump foreheads gently and Seb looks deeply into his eyes, "şi eu te iubesc, dragostea mea."
Chris's thumb brushes his cheek softly. There's very little he loves more than when Sebastian speaks to him in his mother tongue. It makes him weak in the knees every single time.
"Can we just stay here instead? Maybe we can order food and binge-watch that show you like?"
"I'd love to, but we should really make an appearance at the convention first. I don't know about you, but I don't particularly want to be the cause of a bunch of rioting fans because Cap and Bucky didn't show up." He winks and Chris sighs.
"You're right. I just... what if it doesn't go well? I-I mean...I know Scott's been out for years, but as far as the fans know, I'm only rooting for one team. I don't care what they think about me, but I certainly don't want you receiving hate because of this."
"Iubitul meu, I promise everything will be alright, okay? We can do this, and I'll be right there with you."
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Forty-five minutes later they're standing backstage listening to the crowd chatter among themselves excitedly. Sebastian pulls Chris into his arms and splays his hands across his back.
"Just remember to breathe, baby. I promise everything will be alright."
The host announces their names and Seb walks out first with Chris right behind him. They put on big smiles and wave at the screaming fans before taking a seat in the chairs provided for them.
Chris bounces his leg up and down anxiously and Sebastian has to force himself not to reach out and place his hand on his knee.
The host brings the microphone to her lips and looks at them with a smile, "Chris! Sebastian! You two look amazing this evening! How are you guys?"
Seb knows his love is nervous so he takes initiative and answers for both of them.
"We're doing fine! Thank you for having us here tonight."
She nods and gestures to the crowd, "Now, I know some of these lovely fans have questions, but I understand that the two of you have an announcement to make first?"
Sebastian glances at Chris for a moment before looking out at the eager crowd. "We do. Chris, did you want to do the honors?"
The blonde feels his pulse quicken as he stands. He steps toward the edge of the stage and swallows thickly just as Sebastian moves to stand next to him.
"H-Hey everyone...uhh, I hope you all are doing well."
He takes a deep breath and scans the sea of people who have now gone so silent you could hear a pin drop.
"This is...a pretty big announcement for me and Sebastian, and it's...well, it's something we wanted you all to hear from us directly."
He sighs and decides to just go for it. There's no use beating around the bush any longer.
"As many of you know, Sebastian is a great friend of mine. We uh... met on the set of Captain America: The First Avenger and have been friends ever since. Something that you guys don't know is..."
Chris stops and turns to peek at his sweetheart. He's looking at him like he'd hung the moon, and his heart skips a beat when Sebastian reaches for his hand and intertwines their fingers.
It gives him the courage to continue, his nerves disappearing as soon as he feels his boyfriend's gentle touch.
Chris turns back to the now-shocked crowd and smiles warmly.
"...Sebastian and I...we're...together..."

Watch "Spooky season in July San Diego Comic-Con #ComicCon #cosplay" on YouTube
There's a lot of people in the line trying to see why our son and daughter are putting it there and they read it and say oh I see it cost money and they shut it down they start screwing around with them so we're going after a whole bunch of these idiots cuz they don't want us to have money and it's a boon really we're taking their stuff and taking their money and there's a lot of them they're hiring people and a lot of them are clones summer trumpsters summer bjA most of them are clones, it's about 85 to 90%, and the others are being monitored by clothes so we're going to attack them
-right now there is a group of people attacking the clones very fiercely all over the world and down below and they're going after bases very hard and they're going after the ships they see them starting up they've been going after them all day huge huge groups are going down all the tunnels except the exhaust and it's way too hot and it's massive it is massive okay you trying to send drones down the tunnel all the time and they ignite every time is a huge huge Force going up there now from the Midwest and upper Midwest it's giant it's just really big trillions of people. Is a massive Force and it is going at them very hard and it will soon be there with a lot of hardware and it's going great for the ship in Canada another group is going from California and right by where the max are and they're huge and they're going to ignoring the max and the master told him not to and they ignored him and let them die and to tell him that's a fire or they will and to keep moving and it's a huge one okay it's like 10 miles long and 5 miles wide and there's a few of them going up there that size and they're moving fast heard it rev up a few times and they're going. And it was 1.8% if these don't make it it'll be 1.6% that's a lot of people and there's a gigantic group going from the upper Midwest and Midwest they are huge if they don't make it it'll be 1.5%, and from the East Coast it's another huge group and it'll be 1.4% and there's several more groups for me up all over the world of warlock overseas will become 0.6% if they fail and they're getting smaller and smaller and they called from South America and 0.5% came up so good.
-other news there's a lot of odd bugs here and he thought he had a bed bug but it's not what it is like a weird spider. I haven't seen them before they're in here he's got a spray or things are babies of the Little Wolf that's kind of what they are but it's terrible it's always got something bothering him and I'm mad about it so we're going after people cuz it's so gross here.
-there's other things happening one of them is people can't stand how he is and say he's not getting hit and they're full of s*** it doesn't have for anybody protecting people I'm going after them now
-there are other things happening in space there's a war they're going after the remaining blackships, and hitting and they're getting smaller the hit about 50% of what was there which was really 10 million chips and they are getting very small but those ships are bigger now there's 5 million left and they range from two miles to you know 8,000 then there's the big ones there's only five of them but really the average size is about 3 MI and if they're cut in half again it'll be average size of 5 MI that's a big fleet at that size because of the size ships and it's harder and harder right now theur sending huge fleets. The stone chips are cut down in 20 million but most of them are two to five miles then there's a section of 1 million that are 10 MI and 500,000 that are 20 I mean that's a huge number a big ships they have a lot of big ships too but they don't equal the firepower and it's a heck of a war and they need star Blazer chips and cookie has blasters that work and they're powerful it's about half the power of ghwb but twice the power of the old last rev of tech. And people want the stuff up and he's not doing it he's afraid to lose it all so that's going on and there's also
-a huge War just being waged in Arizona and they're mentioning the rose cross and they mentioned the keys and spurred on a quest for the keys and back over in London they're still thinking they might be there and they're seeking Tom Cruise and who says he doesn't have them it is an ongoing thing.
-this massive massive numbers of people now getting up and going to the ships so we're going to publish
Thor Freya
Each ship can fit and then the tomato ships are for like 2% of the population if if you had to

In my place.
Tumblr media
· Pairing: Chris Evans x Reader.
· Request: “Reader is from California and she takes a solo trip to Boston to get away for a while (not a good family life) and she bumps into Chris and well even though she’s a fan, Chris starts to develop something right away” by the sweet @afictionaladventure16. You gave me those lines and it really got me hooked up since I read it!
· A/N: I’m sorry I took too long to post (2 weeks?) but I’ve been really busy at my new job (YAYYY!) and  I couldn’t have time to post my own writing LOL. Once again, I’m beta’d by @jewels2876 who is always helping me and hyping me up all the time! Thank you, my dear!
· Word Count: 4287.
· Warnings: language, a bit of angst.
“My house, my rules!” Your mom shouts at you. You growl and throw your napkin at the table. Your big brother and his fiancé just watch amused, your dad rolls his eyes and monitions you to sit back again. You shake your head and push your chair back.
“You can’t choose my life for me,” You snarl back, “I’m old enough to choose for myself and who I want in my life!”
Your mom stands up pushing her chair back, she tries to walk to you but your dad stops her, knowing what’s coming after.
“Let me go,” Your mom hisses.
“Love, calm down,” Your dad’s soft voice makes you want to puke, “If she really wants to inherit anything from this family, she’ll do as told,” He throws a cold look at you, his mouth shut in a line. You open your mouth slightly.
“I don’t want your money!” You spat furiously.
“Then get the hell out of my house!” Your mom shouts, your eyes burning from the tears that are forming, making you feel small and vulnerable.
“I’m your daughter,” You murmur, your lips trembling.
“You stopped being my daughter the moment you walked away from us,” Your mom declared.
You denied upset, your hands flew up to the sky, your leg shaking slightly.
“I was studying!” You spat quickly.
“Study? You call that study?” She howled mockingly.
“See? How I’m supposed to be okay in this family if everything I love is a joke to you?” You babbled upset, “I’ve done everything to please you and yet, I’m always wrong,”
“If you’d only listen like your brother!” Your dad snarled.
“Listen? That’s obeying!” You spat, “Not even the army has to follow rules like yours,”
“Get. Out.” Your mom hissed, her features revealed a furious face.
“That’s what you want?” You asked, sobbing.
“This is not the life I choose for my daughter,” Your mom hissed.
“You’re really kicking me out just because I don’t want to date him?” You asked, shocked.
“You made this choice,” Your dad pointed out. You shook your head, grabbed your phone from your table and walked to your room. You flashed the door open, walked to your private wardrobe and grabbed a big suitcase, you threw your clothing inside and stormed downstairs to get away from once you called, family. Your brother and his fiancé were waiting outside for you.
“Uhm, not sure Dad’s gonna be fine with you taking the car,” He laughed. You glared at him deadly and threw your suitcase into the trunk.
“You won,” You said, “You always win,”
“Lil sis,” He said, “You could have it all,”
“Not like this,” You murmured denying, “Not under their rules,”
You jumped in the car and drove away, leaving behind your life, the life you never dream of, the life you were given without needing it. The tears rolled down your face, the low music pounding from the stereo, the sun drying the non-stop tears. You drove for a while, one, two hours until you felt tired. You parked outside a hotel and booked a room for the night; you still had money, the money you have worked your ass out to gain it.
The next morning, you sat in the closest coffee shop, listening to music from your phone. You were trying to think what were you gonna do now, now that you were finally free from any chain around your future. The waitress approached you offering more coffee, you nodded and thanked her.
“Sally!” Another waitress ran to her.
“Ann!” The waitress yelped, “You’re back!”
“You’re not going to believe it!” Ann squealed, “Boston is amazing!”
“Girlsssssssssssss,” The supervisor called out.
“Sorry Jack,” Ann giggled, “I’m happy to see you guys!”
Sally, Ann and Jack laughed, you smiled at them, once Sally served your coffee she walked away to her friend who was happily chatting with the supervisor about her trip to Boston. You have never been to Boston, you thought. You sat there, drinking coffee and thinking about your future, you didn’t want to stay in California, you knew it will be just matter of days from every single soul around your circle, your family circle will hear what happened and they will start calling you out for leaving your family. You snap your tongue and opened the navigator site on your phone. You checked miles, flights and you decided to start over again, a new beginning in a place no one will know about you.
You were checking your info to go to Boston when your dad texted you to give him back your car, well his, you rolled your eyes and told him to pick it up. An hour later, your family’s driver arrived to pick the car up, he gave you a sad smile and wished you a good day, you pouted and gave him a hug, you’ve grown around him and you will forever remember the days you spent helping him clean the cars or him teaching you to drive to get your driving license. You said your farewells and you walked away. The next morning you would be on your way to your new life.
You spent the night eating for the last time fast food from your favourite Chinese while you watched Avengers: Age of Ultron. You chuckled and pouted the whole movie, you loved the Avengers with your whole heart. You remembered the time you went to the San Diego Comic Con to see them, good old days you thought. You went with your brother when you were still close friends. After brushing your teeth, you fell down on the bed ready to sleep.
You’ve been four days in Boston already, your bank account’s cards cancelled, your dad called you to give you another talk and you ended up fighting again. He wanted you to rethink things and go back home, with your family. You told him you wouldn’t and he told you one day you’d go back home begging for them to accept you back.
After a month in Boston, you’ve found a job, you were working in a bookshop and you’ve made a few friends. You were happy and felt relief at the life you’ve started for your own.
You were walking down the street around your work, earphones on, Queen blasting on loud, focused typing back to your friend Ciara to meet up that night for dinner. You didn’t see the man walking until you bumped into him. You glared up to blue baby eyes, you felt the air leave your lungs, you felt your jaw clench and you were lost into the man’s eyes until a bark drove you back to the reality.
You faced down the furry boy who at your look, jumped on you trying to lick your hands. You chuckled softly and kneeled down to pet him, still ignoring the person next to him.
“I’m sorry,” The man babbled, “I wasn’t looking,”
You ignored him completely, you pet the dog and smiled big.
“He’s Dodger,” The man said.
“I know,” You replied, and then you cussed yourself under your breath, “I mean, ugh,” You stood up and scratched your neck, something you’ve done your whole life when you were nervous.
He looked at you, confused, “I- I know who you are,” You admitted shyly, slowly showing him your Captain America SHIELD in your bracelet alongside with Bucky’s star and Tony’s helmet, your golden three-o. He opened his mouth shyly surprised and you saw a reddish colour cover his cheeks, he nodded in understatement.
“Oh,” escaped his slightly open rosy lips and you bit your lip looking at them.
“Yeah,” You muttered, playing with your fingers. He stared at your eyes, you didn’t flinch or made any other movement, you were lost looking at each others’ eyes until your phone rang off.
You looked down to your left pocket and whispered a fuck.
“I need to pick up,” You whispered.
“Yeah, sure,” He said. You answered your friend Ciara, who wondered where the hell you were instead of being at work, you gasped and looked at your watch in your hand before telling her you’d be there in a second, you looked at Chris while motioning you had to go and he nodded and whispered a low goodbye, you stormed your way and stopped your tracks, you quickly turn around and ran to them. You yelled “wait”, he turned to see you, the phone still in hand, you smiled at him big and kneeled down to pet Dodger once again, before waving him off and running down the street to your workplace.
Two days have passed since your first encounter with Chris, you were still daydreaming about those blue piercing eyes. You told Ciara about the encounter and she nearly choked you for not staying, she told you she would have covered you if you had told her where and with who you were, you laughed and apologised, you missed your chance but you were happy you have finally seen Chris up close and Dodger, lord, you loved his dog.
Tonight, you were going out with Ciara and her friends from around town, you have met two of them, John and Vicent, and they have promised you the best party in town.
After you arrived home from work, you stormed to get a shower, Ciara knocking on the door because she wanted to shower too. You laughed and told her you were nearly ready. Once you finished, you walked to your big room, walls in white and two strips of blue and red line decoring your walls. You dried yourself while facing the big mirror, Iron Man-inspired, you still remember the face Ciara gave you when you bought it. Sharing an apartment with Ciara was the best thing about Boston you thought, you two met during job hunting and ended up sharing a home. She was looking for someone to share apartment bills and you were looking for not a too-expensive house to live.
Ciara’s shout asking what will you wear drove you back to reality, you shouted back “black jeans and a tank top!” and you got ready.
An hour later, the two of you arrived at the restaurant, you had dinner and then proceeded to party hard. The next morning you woke up with a headache and a big teddy bear next to you, you didn’t remember where it came from but you thanked for it.
“You’re early,” Your boss said, confused.
“Ugh, yeah,” You smiled at him.
“Why?” He wondered pilling up a few books.
“Nothing special,” You replied, putting your jacket aside.
“Where’s Ciara?” He questioned looking at the door not seeing the blonde girl following you as usual on Mondays’ morning.
“Day off,” You chuckled.
“Oh yeah,” He laughed, “Forgot about that,”
You opened doors at 9 AM and people started coming in during the morning, you walked down the street at lunchtime, you had 1-hour break and you loved eating at the restaurant down the street. You ordered something different from the menu, each day you’d try something new, tasting the different flavours the menu had to offer. You were checking your phone while waiting for your bill when you saw him walking by, your mouth fell open and you quickly stood up, leaving a fifty buck note next to your ticket and ran off the restaurant. You saw him at the end of the road and you ran towards him, luckily for you, the traffic light changed to red and he had to stop. You stopped your tracks slowly and walked slowly next to him.
You checked your phone, biting your lip trying to see if he would recognize you and trying to not scare him out. His phone chimed and you heard him chuckle, you turned your face to see him and his eyes fell on you. His mouth muttered “oh” and then he smiled.
“Hey there, stranger,” He chuckled.
“Hi,” You replied.
“Long time no see,” He added putting his phone in his pocket.
“Uh yeah.” You muttered, “How’s Dodger?” You questioned.
“He’s okay,” Chris said, “He’s with my brother right now,”
“Oh,” You nodded, “That’s good,”
“Work?” He wondered looking at you.
“Ugh, no,” You replied grinning at him, “Work?” You asked back.
“Nope,” Chris said, “Going for lunch,” He admitted.
“Good,” You answered nodding.
The traffic light changed to green and you both walked, slowly next to each other.
“Uhm..” Chris murmured, “I was thinking..” You looked at him and faced the road again after showing him a smile, “Would you like to go for a coffee someday?”
You stopped your tracks making him turn to see your face, there he was standing in front of you, the sun on his back, his hair glowing, his hands in his pockets, his features insecure.
“Are you for real?” You questioned you felt your knees about to give out.
“Yes,” Chris replied, he ran his fingers on his hair, nervously.
“Well,” You said, “If you bring Dodger,” You smiled wide. Chris laughed hard and you chuckled with him. He shook his head.
“What about tomorrow?” Chris questioned checking his watch, “At 7 PM?”
“You don’t want to walk Dodger by yourself, right?” You chuckled. He laughed and denied.
“Maybe,” Chris giggled, “Is that fine with you?”
“Tomorrow,” You nodded, “At 7 PM,”
“At the Nobel bookshop,” Chris told you.
You opened your mouth but closed it quickly, that’s an advantage to you, right after your work shift.
“At the Nobel bookshop,” You smiled and Chris smiled.
“Right,” He said, “I gotta go but I’ll see you tomorrow?”
“I’ll see you tomorrow,” You grinned.
“See you tomorrow,” Chris whispered and he waved you off before turning to the left side of the road, you watched him walk down the street, you noticed him grab his phone from his pocket and you watched his back, damn. You stood there watching him until his shape faded in the distance. You jumped giggling and then stopped to check if anyone has seen you. You couldn’t help but smile big.
You arrived home to Ciara listening to Andrea Bocelli, you could smell the bolognese sauce and your mouth watered, you swung to the kitchen with the cover song “La Vie En Rose” smiling wide and big. Ciara jumped at your entrance and laughed at your expression.
“What’s going on with you?” She laughed.
“Ugh,” You sighed, “I have a date,” You said sitting down on the stool.
“A date?” She asked stirring the pot, “With who?”
Your smile grew big and you let out a squeal, Ciara laughed and denied laughing.
“Who it is?” Ciara asked again.
“Chris!” You squealed, “CHRIS FUCKING EVANS!” You yelled jumping around. Ciara let out a squeal and joined your side, you two jumped and giggled for a few minutes.
“For real?” She wondered shocked.
“Yes!” You sang, “For I can’t help falling in love with you,” You sang to the song harmonising.
“When? Where?” Ciara wondered turning the heat off.
“I saw him walk down the street, I, of course, walked faster to reach him,” You admitted biting your lip, “Then we walked down the road and I asked about Dodger and we made this quick chat and he asked me out!” You both squealed excitedly.
“Oh my Lord,” Ciara yelped, “You’re a lucky son of a bitch!”
“I swear I was shocked!” You laughed.
“No wonder why,” Ciara laughed back, “When’s the date?”
“Tomorrow after my work shift,” You told her.
“Where?” She questioned taking the apron off.
“Outside Nobel,” You chuckled, Ciara, let out a snort and shook her head. You had dinner and then got ready for bedtime.
You woke up the next morning earlier than usual, you showered and got ready. You chose some black jeans and a nice t-shirt, your vans covering your feet. You prepared breakfast singing and dancing around, Ciara joined you quickly after laughing at you. You ate your food doing a little chat before heading to work.
The day went off rather quickly, you had lunch at the bookstore with Ciara, Japanese, Ciara’s favourite. You listened to music and chatted the whole work shift, your boss happy to see you enjoying your time and joining in a few chats.
You were closing the shop when you noticed Chris approaching, you quickly picked up your stuff and piled out a few books ready for the following day. Ciara squealed when she noticed Chris and you covered her mouth. You turned the lights off and walked out of the shop, Chris focused on his phone raised up his head for a second and then faced up you quickly when she noticed it was you, you gave a soft smile and turned to Ciara.
“I’ll see you at home,” You told her softly.
“I’ll see you later,” She smiled big, you could see the excitement on her features and you bit your lip trying to stop the laughter escape your lips.
Ciara greeted Chris and waved you two off before heading down the street on her way home.
“Ugh,” Chris said, “Were you going to tell me you work here?” He chuckled.
“Maybe,” You chuckled back, “Hi,”
“Hello,” He said, he approached you and kissed your cheek, “Nice top,” Chris joked. For the first time since you put it on in the morning, you checked your top and let out a snort when you saw the Avengers logo on it.
“I swear I didn’t do it on purpose,” You laughed.
“It’s okay,” Chris smiled, “I like it,” You smiled to each other and started walking down the street.
You walked for a few minutes in silence until you broke it, “Where’s Dodger?”
Chris let out a snort, “Home,”
“I thought we were walking him?” You wondered.
“Yeah,” Chris said, “That was the idea but I thought we could go alone?” He looked at you for a second.
“Damnation,” You let out a sigh, “I only accepted because you were supposed to bring him,”
Chris laughed hard and you joined him, “You only have me now,”
You bit your lip and laughter escaped your lips, “I’ll see what I can do,”
You walked around the area talking about each others’ life, you, of course, asked about Marvel and he happily answered. You stopped to grab a drink and you kept talking and joking around.
Chris accompanied you home and kissed your cheek goodbye, you smiled at him and he asked for your number. You exchanged numbers and said your goodbyes.
You went to bed smiling big that night and not without wishing Chris sweet dreams.
On your fifth date, Chris kissed you and you couldn’t be happier. He has been stopping by your work to see you every day and bring some coffee for Ciara and you. Ciara who has been really happy for you, also told you, you two should take it slow. You agreed but whenever Chris was around you, everything faded away and you enjoyed the moment you were living. Chris has admitted he felt quite insecure about how needy he was to see you all the time and how he felt around you but he couldn’t stop himself, he wanted to be with you, to be around you and to share his time with you. You have met his brother Scott and had been to dinner with both of them.
Chris invited you over to his house for dinner, it was Saturday and he thought you could have another date on his place. You’d lost count of how many dates you had had by now, it has been nearly two months since you met and you had met every single day.
Chris opened his car door for you, offering his hand for you to get out of the car. You smiled at him and tiptoed to leave a kiss on his cheek.
You sat on his big sofa while he was getting some drinks for you two. You looked everywhere, he had a beautiful house. He had shown you around and then sat down to chat.
“You alright there?” Chris's voice brought you back to his eyes. You nodded.
“Yeah,” You replied, “I like your house,”
“Thank you,” Chris said, “Dodgers’ at my brothers’,”
“Oh,” You whispered, “You should bring him tomorrow,” You said sipping on your wine.
“You sure?” Chris questioned, sitting back on his sofa.
“Yeah!” You answered, “Ciara loves him and you know it,”
“I know,” He chuckled, “All of you do,”
“But I like his owner best,” You bit your lip and let out giggled.
Chris laughed and shook his head, “You only say that to make me feel better,” He whispered reaching your hand and stroking it slowly.
“Did it work?” You questioned low, looking at your hands together, a smile spread across your face and Chris smiled wide.
“It did,” He whispered.
Chris stroked your hand for a while until you set your glass down on the coffee table. You took his glass too and did the same. You reached for his face, cupping it and getting lost in his eyes. You let a chaste kiss on his lips before parting your lips and Chris let out a sigh, he drove his hands to your neck, crashing his lips on yours. You kissed slowly, you opened your lips slightly and Chris took it as permission, putting his tongue inside your open mouth. The kiss quickly changed to a heated one and your hands flew to his hair. He drove his left hand to your lower back, stroking slowly. You let out a moan and he growled, he grabbed you by your legs, helping you sit on his lap. You moved slightly on top of him stealing a moan from both of you. The friction caused by your parts touching while your mouths fought deliciously on a heated kiss.
Chris drove his right hand to grab your ass and squeezed, you moaned loudly on his mouth and he grunted. His mouth fell on your collarbone, kissing, nipping, biting. Your hands-on his hair pulling from time to time gently, needing more. You moved forward and backwards on his lap, needing the friction your clothed core desired. You felt Chris’s bulge grow bigger on his pants and you let out a loud moan escape your lips, Chris lips lost in your neck and chest, his left hand stroking the nearest boob gently, his finger rubbing circles in your nipple.
“Chris,” You moaned pulling his face from your neck, kissing his cheek and rubbing the back of his neck.
“Doll,” Chris panted, stopping his movements and focusing on your eyes, then back to your slightly parted rosy lips, his pupils darkening and the urge of kissing you driving him insane.
“Please be mine,” You whispered low but confident, you had him under you, needing you the same way you needed him, his eyes lost in lust like yours, his lips pulsing red, his hands on your lower back and hips, his muscular form trying to stay still but needy.
Chris crashed his lips on yours as he stood up, you strangled your legs on his waist while he walked to his bedroom. Your lips never living the other ones’, your hands flying to every inch of his body you could touch, Chris, rubbing and stroking your ass while low moans escaped his lips.
“Mmm..” You let out rubbing small circles on Chris's chest. Still feeling the chills and the pure sensation of your first time together.
“I’ll understand,” Chris added.
“Chris,” You tried to stop him.
“It’s just,” Chris squirmed next to you, his legs tangled with yours sending chills over your spine at his soft and warm skin.
“Chris,” Your hand flew to his chin, making him look at you.
Chris sighed, “I just need this more than just a one night stand,” He admitted, “I need the honey when you hold my hand, I know you think it’s too early to call it a romance but,” He closed his eyes shut.
You sighed and moved on his side, your left leg on top of his hips, your skin warming his, even more, you let a chaste kiss on his chest and then on his chin, followed by one on his cheek and nose and back to his lips.
“I know you’re not ready for that,” Chris whispered so low you barely heard him.
“I just don’t know,” You replied, “What if-”
“I know,” Chris interrupted, you cupped his face, your chest on his chest, his right hand on your lower back, his left hand on your hip while your legs kept tangled underneath the sheets.
“Come back to me baby,” You said, “And I will come back to you,” looking at his eyes. You saw his eyes inspection your face and he let out a sigh, your forehead fall into his while your eyes closed. Chris rubbed your lower back calmly, you moved your head to his chest and closed your eyes.
“I want you,” You whispered low. Chris looked down at you and nodded.
“You have me,” He answered.
“No,” You replied, “I want to be with you,” You declared.
“I can’t go a single day without thinking of you,” Chris murmured, “I hope you believe me,”
“I do,” You said looking at his eyes, “Let the happiness begin,” You murmured, Chris broke the space between you two, your body on top of his body, the warmth on his hands on your back and you felt like you’ve found your place.

Tumblr media
Masterlist - Contains Chapter Links & Wardrobe Collages
A/N: This is a slow burn fic that I have been working on for a while. Its a story I wrote for myself and just wanted to share with everyone. Yes, the “Dee” in the story is who you think, but there is no intended hate on her or their actual marriage. It is a work of fiction, that is all. Part thirteen has parts from Both POVs. There is also a playlist to go along with the series.

The plane bounced along the tarmac at San Diego International Airport and Y/N felt herself be able to breathe again. It had barely been a week since she’d seen Jensen but after the incident with Nathan the night before, and the subsequent questioning by the police, she needed him more than ever.
She thought of calling him and telling him everything by phone, but the idea left her cold. Jensen had wanted her in San Diego in the first place, and she should have just gone. But the stubborn woman that dwelled inside her couldn’t relent everything quite yet. As soon as she had decided to book a ticket, Detective Perkins arrived along with two marked cruisers and scoured the area searching for Nathan. Perkins arranged to put out an APB on him for the assault and intent to question about the break-in. Y/N told Perkins everything Nathan said but left out the part where he implied a woman’s involvement. She knew what he meant, but was keeping that information for herself for now.
Hours later, when Y/N was finally back at Jensen’s house and laying in the bed she now shared with him, her overwhelming need to be near him was almost too much. She eventually got up and went to the guest room, laying down with Briana and finally falling asleep as the sun began to rise. Now, merely an hour away from seeing Jensen, she felt relief and the ability to breathe easy again.
Briana had all the arrangements taken care of, including reaching out to Robbie to secure credentials for Y/N to get into Comic-Con and to where she could surprise Jensen. Bri made him swear on his children that he would keep the secret and help Y/N get to where she was going. Unfamiliar with the chaos that was a convention such as Comic-Con, Bri didn’t want her to navigate those waters alone.
Early the next afternoon, Y/N disembarked the plane and retrieved her checked bag, then found the driver that Robbie had sent for her. The car brought her directly to the convention center with the promise of dropping her luggage at the hotel where everyone was staying. She made her way to the Will Call booth, already overwhelmed by the enormity of the event but still excited to get a glimpse into Jensen’s world.
With a quick flash of her identification, she retrieved her All-Access Pass lanyard and drew in a deep breath of the Southern California air. It was just as hot as it was in Texas, but the excitement that swirled in the atmosphere around the convention center made it seem slightly more tolerable. She could feel the people’s elation as she made her way through the crowds, trying to find her way to the conference room where Robbie was waiting for her.

Jensen exhaled a yawn and rubbed a hand over his tired face. He could easily sleep for a week already, and they were only on day one of three in San Diego. Normally he looked forward to Comic-Con weekends, they were different enough from the regular con circuit that there was a certain level of exhilaration over the unknown of what could happen. This year though, he was tired and a little sad, desperately wishing that Y/N was there with him.
He just got out of hair and makeup for a second time that day, to do yet another interview; this time it was Entertainment Weekly. They were usually easy going, lots of laughs, not too many hard-hitting questions; but fun conversation and banter about the show. If he was somehow able to work in a plug for the festival, even better. Getting exposure through an outlet like that could easily boost ticket sales enough to make a huge impact in what they are able to give back to the community.
Shaking off the last bit of sluggishness, Jensen made his way towards the set where the spotlights were pointed directly at the chair where he would sit. Tasha Wilson, one of EW’s representatives that weekend, was already seated and waiting; her wide smile and heavily produced eyes popped with excitement.
“Jensen!” she exclaimed, darting out a hand to shake his without moving from her seat. “So good to see you! Having fun this weekend?”
“Yeah,” he smiled as pleasantly as he could muster. “I am. It's always a good time here.”
“Anything scoopy you wanna dish before the cameras start rolling?” she asked, her tongue peeking out as she playfully wiggled her eyebrows. “Promise to keep my mouth shut!” She crossed her chest with her fingers and held them up a mock salute. “Scout’s honor!”
It instantly made Jensen smile softly and think of Y/N. God, I wish she were here, he thought, then tried to focus on Tasha instead.
“Uhhh,” he started, then laughed nervously, “you know I can’t. But I think you’ll be surprised at what’s in store.”
“Okay, fine. I know… can’t say anything,” she waved him off with a flirty laugh. “You ready, gorgeous?”
“Let’s do it,” Jensen said and dug deep down to find that switch he needed to flip just for these moments. Just as the cameras started to roll, and Tasha started to talk, he found his inner professional and turned on the charm.
As she flirted her way through the questions, Jensen tried to maintain his focus, but he felt like something was coming; though he had zero idea of what it could be that was causing it. Not necessarily in a bad way, but there was a sensation he couldn’t explain, building from the depths of his gut and crawling up his spine to his neck. Whatever it was, it made him take his attention away from Tasha and look off towards the fringe of the set, beyond the cameras to where the shadowed figures stood watching the interview.
“Did you and Jared get a lot of say in how this was going to go?” she asked, unaware that Jensen was no longer paying attention.
At first, he didn’t understand what he was seeing because it was like he was seeing her in fragments. First her hair, then her smile, and even from the distance he sat, he couldn’t mistake her eyes. His heartbeat faster as he noticed the familiar position of her stance, as her arms were crossed loosely over her chest, a hip hitched out while standing beside Rob. Jensen was rendered speechless by the sight of her. At first, he wasn’t sure if it was her or just a hallucination--the sheer desire to have her there playing with his mind--but then she laughed, and even though the ambient noise and distance, he knew for a fact she was really there.
“Jensen?” Tasha asked, and then followed his line of sight trying to locate the source of what grabbed his attention. “You alright? Still with me?” she continued when she went back to him.
Tumblr media
“Yes. Sorry,” he laughed with a mixture of excitement and discomfort at being so caught off guard by her presence. “I’m, uh… I’m alright, I just saw a familiar face.”
He swallowed hard, and looked back in Y/N’s direction, almost afraid she would be gone, but thankfully she was still there. She was looking his way now, her lips pulled taut into the little smirk he loved so much; the one that made her look like she carried the world’s biggest secret and only wanted to tell him. Jensen’s heart swelled at the sight of her, the ache in his arms building with the need to run over and grab her tightly.
“Oh? An old friend, perhaps?” Tasha turned excitedly in her chair, still trying to discern as to who Jensen was referring too.
“No, no,” he chuckled, the kind that was forced and slightly frustrated. “It seems as though my girlfriend has decided to surprise me here this weekend.” Jensen couldn’t hide the enormous smile that exploded on his face as he nodded in her direction. Calling Y/N his girlfriend for the first time, especially to someone in this very separate world, made him almost giddy. He loved how Tasha’s expression went from excited to crestfallen in less than a second.
“Your… girlfriend? Ohhh! Well… this is new, I take it? Last I heard you were single and ready to mingle, Mr. Ackles.”
He laughed his fake laugh again. “Yes, it is new. Though we’ve been good friends for a while.”
“And is she someone we know?”
“Probably not yet. But I promise you, you will.”
“Oh, and why’s that?” Tasha asked with animated curiously, but Jensen took notice that her entire demeanor now changed from the flirtatious behavior earlier in the interview.
“Y/N is the most incredible singer, songwriter, and musician I’ve ever known. She’s been working on the Hometown Brewfest we’re hosting on Austin, and what she’s managed to put together will blow your mind. I guarantee the second she gets on the stage that weekend, everyone’s gonna know her name.”
“Wow! That’s quite an endorsement! And you’ve been known to sing as well, do you plan on sharing the stage with her that weekend?”
Tumblr media
“Hell yes!” he responded enthusiastically. “Honestly, It’s what I am most looking forward to for the whole weekend. To share a stage with her, it’s gonna be awesome.”
Tasha went on to ask a few follow up questions about both the festival and the show, then began to realize that Jensen’s attention was far too divided to get much more out of him. Tasha relented and went into asking her final few questions. The moment the lights cut off, and she put down her mic, Jensen was up, out of his seat and dodging the camera equipment in order to get to his girl.
Jensen thought his heart may beat right out of his chest, like those old Bugs Bunny cartoons. The way she felt in his arms, the sensation of her breath on his neck as she embraced him back, the familiar scent of her shampoo wafting into his nose… all of it was able to drown out all the other noise and people that were around them. He didn’t care how many people were watching them from the corners of their eyes. Nor did he care that he had his face buried into her neck and unable to peel himself from her body. He refused to let go until he filled every one of his senses was lingering with traces of her. Finally, he felt he had held her long enough that he could breathe. When his grip loosened, hers did too, but they didn’t stray far from the other.
“What are you doing here?” he asked his expression a mix of wonderment, joy, and disbelief.
“Can’t a girl just miss her guy?” Y/N teased, but Jensen could see there was more behind hiding behind her eyes.
“Yeah, I mean… are you okay though? You don’t look okay.” He caressed the side of her face with his hand, and lightly brushed her cheek with the pad of his thumb. “What happened?”
Y/N opened her mouth to talk, but looked around quickly and visibly hesitated. “C--Can we… I mean, do you have a few minutes we could go somewhere quiet?”
“For you, I have all the time in the world, come on.”
Jensen took her hand and led her around behind the Entertainment Weekly set and into a small green room that was completely empty. Once inside, Jensen shut the door and turned the lock, not caring about who needed the space.
Y/N put her arms around his neck again and kissed him softly. “I missed you. A lot.”
“I missed you too, Trix. And not that I don’t love the surprise, but I know you well enough to know that something happ--” Jensen stopped mid-thought, and brushed the hair away from her neck. He thought it strange that she was wearing it down, as it wasn’t her usual style. But as he studied the subtle differences in the tone of her skin was that when he noticed the bruising on her neck. A sudden, intense flash of rage-filled his features.
“What the fuck happened?” he asked, trying to not scare her with the anger that was rapidly enveloping him. “Y/N…”
“Ok… so, just remember that I am here telling you now. Please don’t get mad I didn’t tell you last night. Can you promise?”
“No! Not when it involves bruises on your neck, I can’t!” he snapped, then saw the way she was looking at him and reeled in his emotions a little. He took a moment, then nodded with a breathy sigh. “I can promise not to get mad at you. The situation, though… something tells me that is a whole other thing entirely.”
“Nathan showed up,” she admitted quickly and quietly, casting her eyes to the floor as if she was ashamed to tell him.
“Nathan showed up at the brewery? When? Did Paolo--”
“Paolo called the cops just like you told him too. He wanted to call you immediately, I asked him not too. So, don’t take anything out on him. He was absolutely amazing last night.”
A slight bit of tension visibly left Jensen’s shoulders as he continued to try and regulate his breath. “What happened?” he asked through gritted teeth.
“I was walking to the truck, and starting to text you back when he just came out of the shadows. He wanted to talk, more like bitch me out, but… I tried to text you while he was rambling, so you could…I don’t know…”
“That was smart.”
“Well, until he saw me doing it, then smacked it out of my hands straight to the ground along with the files I was carrying. So, I don’t have a phone for the moment.”
Jensen rubbed his hand over his face, desperately trying to keep his composure while she continued.
“Then he got angrier and said some things… I said some things that pissed him off even more and then that’s when tried to choke me.”
Her last few words hung in the air like the haze of a humid afternoon. Jensen tried to process what she just revealed without having an explosive reaction, though purely for her sake. Y/N had seen enough anger and violence at Nathan’s hands, and he refused to let her see him in the same way.
Drawing in a deep breath through his nose, he steadied his hands that were shaking and did his best to unclench them.
“Did he hurt you? I can see the bruises, but did he--”
“No,” she replied quickly. “He didn’t hurt me. It was over quickly because I kneed him in the balls. It dropped him just as Bri and Paolo were coming out of the back door. Then he got up and took off. Cops came, I talked to Detective Perkins and then Bri took me home. Bri booked a ticket for me, called Robbie to get the credentials, and now here I am. But, there’s something else you gotta know… he admitted to the break-in, Jay. He did it and I think--”
A soft knock at the door interrupting the conversation nearly set Jensen off, but one look in Y/N’s direction and he knew that he couldn’t explode when she was present. He took a few slow, steady steps towards the door and unlocked it. Robbie stood on the other side, an apologetic look on his face.
“I know, my timing sucks bad. But, it’s time for the panel. I can take Y/N and get her seated upfront, is that cool? You just gotta head over to--” Robbie paused when he noticed how tense Jensen was. “You okay, man?”
“No. I’m not. But, I will be,” he cast a longing, side-eyed glance at Y/N and sighed. “Nathan showed up again.”
“What? When?” Robbie asked, walking in and closing the door behind him. “What the fuck happened?”
“I’ll tell you later,” Y/N replied and went to stand in front of Jensen. She forcibly took his hands into hers and squeezed them. “I didn’t want to tell you here, but I knew you wouldn’t let it go unless I did. I promise I’m fine. There’s an APB out for him, and that’s why I came here as soon as I could.”
“Thank God for that,” he said before running his tongue over his bottom lip anxiously. “I gotta go do the panel. Let Robbie take you to find a seat, and I’ll meet you when it’s done, and we can talk more about this, okay?”
“Okay,” she smiled, though there was a spark of uncertainty in her eyes. Y/N lovingly touched his cheek with her hand before leaving a soft kiss on his lips.
Y/N went to leave with Robbie, then paused and turned back to Jensen. “Aren’t you coming?”
“I’ll be along in a minute. You guys to ahead and get settled,” he said, and she could tell that he just needed a moment to himself to decompress from what she just told him. She nodded and reluctantly followed Rob from the room.
When they were gone, Jensen felt overheated from the lack of air circulating and the rage that boiled in his gut. He carefully discarded his blazer and neatly hung it over one of the chairs off to the side. He put his hands on his hips, and let his head fall to his chest as he tried to calm the fire that was still raging. He had a job to do, but he couldn’t do his job and be Mr. Personality to the crowd in Hall H when all he wanted to do was find Nathan and rip his head clear off his shoulders.
Jensen paced the room, and couldn’t help but conjure the image of Nathan actually wrapping his fingers around Y/N’s throat. Then he remembered what she said right before Robbie came in and felt like he was going to explode. He looked up at the ceiling and tried to exhale slowly, but he couldn’t fight it any longer. Grabbing a folding chair that was off to the side, Jensen flung it across the room with guttural roar. He kicked the small coffee table as hard as he could, sending it into the love seat against the far wall, spraying the magazines all over the room. He grabbed another chair and raised it before he whipped it to the ground while suppressing the roar of rage he had growing in his chest.
When he was finally spent, he stood in the middle of the room and found a steady breath as he surveyed the mess he made. In an effort to be cathartic about the entire situation, he slowly and methodically went around the room and put things back as they were. Luckily, he didn’t break anything beyond repair and made a mental note to contact someone to pay for whatever damage there ended up being. When he finished, he stood in the middle of the room and took one more moment to collect himself. He rested his hands on the back of the chair where he’d hung his blazer, his knuckles turning white from the intensity of his grip.
“I swear to God,” he mumbled to the empty room, his eyes fluttering closed, and his gut clenching at the images that were burning through his mind. “If that sonofabitch ever comes near her again, I will murder him myself.”
With that, Jensen grabbed his blazer and left for the panel.
Tumblr media
It was well past ten when they finally returned to the hotel. Robbie had arranged for the staff to leave Y/N’s luggage in Jensen’s room, so all her things were there when they got back. They hadn’t spoken about the incident with Nathan again; not after the panel, and certainly not while they ate dinner with the rest of the cast that were in attendance for the con that weekend.
Back in the room, Jensen emptied his pockets onto the dresser and kicked off his boots into the closet. He neatly hung his blazer in the closet and then turned to find Y/N just sitting on the edge of the bed. Her eyes were closed, and her head hung to her chest. He thought she looked tired and slightly defeated.
“You alright?” he asked, slowly walking over, then crouching in front of her, resting a hand on either one of her thighs to steady himself. He picked up her chin with his thumb, lifting her (y/c) eyes to meet his, which were soft and thoughtful. “Talk to me, Trix.”
“I’m sorry,” she rasped, her throat dry and thick with emotion. Y/N hadn’t really allowed herself to cry or feel too much of anything after the confrontation with Nathan. She needed to feel strong and fortified. Now that she was finally in a safe, quiet place with Jensen, she thought she could finally could let herself feel something.
Jensen could sense that the dam was about to break, and took her hand, bringing it to his lips. “Baby, you have nothing to be sorry for.”
Those words from him were enough to finally break down the last vestige of emotional fortitude that she had. The tears flowed easily then. She withdrew her hand from Jensen’s and covered her face, trying to hide the emotion that spilled over. He got up from the floor and sat beside her on the bed. Drawing her in close, Jensen kissed the top of her head and just let her cry. All he could do was hold her tightly and let her know she wasn’t alone.
Y/N picked up her head a short time later and wiped as many of the tears away as she could. She got up and went to the bathroom for a cool washcloth to clear her skin of the salty tears that left streaks down her face.
“We don’t have to talk about it tonight,” Jensen called out from the other room. “It can wait, you know.”
“I know,” Y/N said, emerging from the bathroom. “I think I like that idea, to be honest.”
“Okay, good. So, tired? Ready for bed? Wanna watch tv? A movie, maybe?” Jensen picked up the remote and was scrutinizing it to locate the power button when Y/N plucked it from his hand and tossed it across the king-sized bed.
“No,” she said, and slowly unbuttoned her shirt, revealing her black lace bra that barely contained the swell of her breasts.
Jensen sat up straighter, an instant change in his expression lured her closer. She slotted herself between his thighs and delicately ran her fingers through his hair. Being with him so intimately, and knowing how safe she was  When she was right in front of him, he gingerly pushed the blouse open further, wrapping his fingers around her waist and drawing her in even more. He kissed the soft skin on her stomach and hummed contentedly.
He reached up and gently pushed the garment from her shoulders, letting it fall to the floor, then sat back further on the bed and patted his lap. Y/N smiled impishly and took a moment to remove the rest of her clothes until she was left in nothing but her bra and panties then took him on his invitation and straddled his lap and lacing her fingers behind his neck.
Jensen buried his face between her breasts and drew in a deep breath of her while his lips pressed into her flesh. His fingers ran roughly up her back to the hooks of her bra. Before he unclasped it, he paused and looked up at her. Y/N was gazing down at him, her expression was delicate and soft. She looked angelic in the dim light of the room, and he couldn’t help but think of how differently things could have gone.
Once again, he could have lost her.
“Y/N…” he started softly, bringing one hand up to gently touch her cheek. “I want you to stay with me until the festival. We’ll just stay in Vancouver and if you have to go back to Austin, we’ll do it when I’m not filming. No more of this back and forth, okay? I don’t want to let you out of my sight.”
“Okay,” she whispered, before bending down and engulfing his plump lips with her own. “Whatever you want, Hollywood.”
Contented with her response, he kissed her back with purpose and went back to the task of unhooking her bra then taking her to bed. Later, when they were sweaty and breathless, completely spent from making love, Jensen held her and watched her sleep for a while before drifting off himself. The last thing he thought of before sleep pulled him under, was how he would do anything to protect Y/N, and how one day he’d be giving interviews and calling her his wife.
Tumblr media
The next day was spent dashing from one event to another, most times with Jensen having to go on ahead, and Y/N meeting him there. More interviews, autograph signings, promotional shoots, and that was all before lunch. Jensen didn’t want to leave her again but knew he had to fill several last few commitments before he could be completely free of the rigid schedule. He waited until Y/N was busy chatting with Jared, then pulled Robbie aside and spoke in just above a whisper.
“You don’t let her out of your sight. Okay?”
“Yeah man, I gotcha. Me ‘n her stuck like glue.”
“I doubt he’d come here, but…” Jensen shrugged then looked up to see if she was still otherwise engaged. Thankfully, she was. “Don’t want to take the chance.”
“No, he couldn’t get through security. But… she could,” Rob mused sort of casually, more to himself than Jensen, but when he saw his friend’s expression change, he back-peddled a little. “I just mean… she likes to cause trouble, you know? Not that she has. I don’t think. Other than lunch…”
“She? You mean, Dee? And what lunch are you talking about? What else don’t I know?” Jensen asked harshly, then felt someone tugging on his sleeve.
“Ready?” the young PA asked that was there to escort him to the next event.
“Yeah, one sec,” he replied then turned to Rob again. “This conversation isn’t over.”
“I figured,” Robbie sighed and regretted opening his mouth at all.
Jensen stepped quickly towards Y/N and Jared, giving her a quick kiss goodbye, and grabbing his best friend to be led off to yet another place he didn’t want to be.
Robbie stood close to Y/N and when the guys were out of sight, he turned to her, an apologetic look on his face. “You didn’t tell him everything yet, did you?”
Y/N seemed surprised, then a veil of nerves clouded her expression. “No, not yet. Why?”
“I may have said something I shouldn’t have,” he shrugged and winced a little.
She exhaled slowly. “What did you say?”
“I said something about Dee. He seemed surprised her name came up. Bri told me… you know, what Nathan said.”
“Dammit, Bri,” Y/N mumbled and moved out of the crowd that was slowly engulfing them where they stood. When they were a little more removed, she caught Robbie’s intense blue eyes and scrutinized them for a moment. “What did she tell you?”
“You know she’s just looking out for you, right? And really, all she told me was that you said Nathan implied that someone paid him to break in. Is that true?”
“I don’t know. He said something like, ‘even though the dumb bitch was happy’ right before he described snapping my guitar into pieces, and how good it felt to do.”
“Jesus,” Robbie breathed and rubbed his hand over his face and down to his beard. “This is insane.”
“Tell me about it,” she snorted, and he could tell she was beginning to feel on edge.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart. I hate that any of this is happening to you. Especially just because you and Jensen found some happiness together.”
Y/N felt a rush of warm, enveloping love at the thought of being happy with Jensen. It was a foreign feeling to her, as any of her previous relationships were all bogged down with some sort of strangling weight. There was a brief time when she was far younger, where she thought she was in love; but that was nothing like what she felt now.
“I would go through this forever if it meant being able to be with him, Robbie.”
Robbie’s face lit up. “You really mean that, don’t you?”
She nodded softly. “So much. But I didn’t want to tell him about Dee, yet. Because he’ll blame himself and that’s the last thing I want. It’s why I left her name out of the police report--”
“Wait. You did? I don’t get why.”
“Because I have no evidence Nathan meant her. He didn’t say her name. But I know it was her. Unless Jensen has some other crazy ex-girlfriend I don’t know about.”
“You’re right, it had to be her. But, I can see why you withheld it. You have to tell him though and tell him about that day at lunch. She overheard us talking about the brewery. Do you think she sent Nathan there? Told him about it?” Rob asked, and leaned back against the wall, dumbfounded at the reality that the answer to his otherwise preposterous question could be yes.
“I don’t know, Robbie. None of this makes sense to me,” Y/N sighed and leaned against the wall next to him. “Honestly, I’m exhausted from thinking about it all. Why don’t you show me around the craziness that is comic con? Maybe get our minds off all this for a hot minute before we--and yeah, you’re doing it with me ‘cause you were at lunch that day--tell him about Dee.”
“Fair enough,” he said, pushing off the wall and sticking out his elbow for her to take. “Come on.”
She linked her arm in his, and Rob escorted her through the con.
After some navigating, Rob weaved them through various crowds of people, her arm still firmly linked with his. Y/N could hear the build-up of a crowd the closer they got to the end of the corridor and when they finally came out onto a balcony that overlooked a huge open room, she understood why it got so loud. Hundreds of people stood in different autograph lines, all snaking together around round booths that allowed the actors to engage up close and personal with the fans.
Y/N’s eyes searched the tables and finally spotted Jared laughing and signing something for a guest. Beside him, Jensen was doing the same thing, excitedly talking to a little kid in a Castiel cosplay. They walked along the perimeter, trying to get a closer look and maybe even grab the guys' attention to wave hello. As Y/N and Rob stood there casually watching the floor below, they were approached by several groups of fans, a few independent reporters all proudly flashing their press badges, and at least two different Supernatural cosplay groups. Y/N offered to snap pictures for the groups and even took out her own phone for a few as Robbie posed with each of them in glorious, fanboy fashion.
Y/N watched, amused, as Robbie lavished in the attention, but was genuinely excited to talk to them about the show, Louden Swain and the Brewfest. He introduced Y/N to the reporters and had hoped she would turn on the charm as she usually did, but he found her to be quieter than normal. Several times he had to help coax her to answer a question or give some details, and by the third or fourth quick pass at an interview, he realized that she just wasn’t ready. After the last staffer from FanFest News had shoved a recorder in their faces to catch a quote, Robbie led her away from the railing and deeper into the belly of the con.
Wanting to do something to take away the tension of having a million questions thrown at her, Rob led Y/N down to where the autograph lines twisted through the room and eventually made their way straight up to where Jensen and Jared were conducting their signing.
“Oh wait,” Y/N said, an impish grin forming on her lips, “Do you have the BrewFest’s IG saved on your phone?”
“Yeah, why?” Rob asked as he automatically retrieved his phone from his pocket.
“I want to do a quick live stream, but I am sans phone, so… Can I borrow yours?”
“Oh sure,” he said, and navigated the device to the proper place. “Go for it. That will be fun. Anytime someone can catch either of those two fools off guard, I am all for it.” Rob raised his eyebrows knowingly.
Y/N shook her head and rolled her eyes. “You boys…” she muttered, trying to quickly get the live stream up and going before they were spotted by Jensen or Jared. She got it recording just as she approached Jensen, and watched through the screen of Rob’s phone as a giant grin unfurled his face.
“What are you doing down here?” he asked, forcing himself to reign in the utter glee that controlled his expression at the surprise of seeing her there. “I thought you and Rob were mingling. Are you recording this?” His cheeks instantly tinged pink and the giddy smile returned.
“I am and we thought we’d come over and surprise you,” she giggled and met his eyes over the top of the phone. “this is a Live Stream for the BrewFest followers.”

Jensen leaned his elbows on the counter and looked directly into the phone, giving the lens and intense but soulful gaze.
“Hello there,” he spoke, purposely lowering the register of his voice. “How are you guys?”
On the screen, hearts, and comments exploded as people joined the stream in rapid fashion. A moment later, Jared leaned into the shot, playfully hiding behind Jensen and waving from over his shoulder. More likes, hearts, comments flew by so fast as the guys gave the viewers a fun moment of banter before Jared continued on to more autographs and Jensen turned his attention away from the camera and back to the woman behind the device.
“We’ll let you get back at it, right Robbie?”
Y/N panned the camera to Rob, catching him off guard, more so than she did Jensen and Jared. He stammered nervously and then pulled his lips taut and replied with a simple, “Yup.”
Y/N laughed and turned the camera back to Jensen.
“Say goodbye, Jensen.”
He waved one last time, and his attention was pulled away by fans handing him a picture to sign. Y/N turned off the live stream and waited for him to finish with the young couple. When he was, he slid down towards where she was waiting, leaned over the table to leave a quick, sweet kiss to her cheek.
“I’ll be done in about an hour. Don’t go for, okay?”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” she replied and watched him go back to do what he did best--winning the hearts of everyone that had the chance to meet him.
Robbie placed an arm over her shoulder and turned her towards the main con floor. “Ready to witness complete pandemonium?”
“Because this isn’t?” she asked with a laugh and motioned to the room around them before handing his phone back to him.
“Oh, this is nothing. Come on,” he said, taking the phone and tucking it deeply in his jeans pocket.

It was later that night that she got her first real taste of an overly aggressive member of the press who just wouldn’t take no for an answer. After all the interviews and autographs were done, their small group headed out to find a quick and quiet meal before heading back to the hotel. They were due to leave the next morning and everyone was beyond exhausted.
Jared and Rob were walking ahead, Jensen and Y/N strolling a few steps behind, walking hand in hand just admiring the city. The others who had joined them the night before called it an early bedtime and headed off to their respective hotels for a bit of peace and quiet. As the foursome tried to decide where to eat, a pair of paparazzi came around the corner. Y/N saw their faces light up as they realized just who they were looking at.
“Jared! Jensen! Over here! Rob!”
They were both calling out names, cameras suddenly up and flashing fiercely.
“What’s going on guys?”
“Where you off too?”
They asked at the same time, as they scurried along, clicking the cameras for picture after picture. One of them pulled out their phone looking for something while his companion continued clicking away.
“Just out for dinner, fellas. It’s been a long day,” Jensen said with a fake smile and a “fuck-off” tone.
“Stop and talk for a sec, come on guys!” one called out, while the other pocketed his phone again and picked up his camera, pointing it directly at Y/N.
“Hey! Y/F/N L/N! That’s you, right?” he asked, and took a few steps closer, a bit too close for her preference.
“Just ignore him,” Jensen mumbled and gripped her hand a little tighter. “Come on.”
Their group kept walking a little faster, trying to ignore the badgering call outs and questions but the two men were relentless.
“Come on, Y/N! Just a picture or two! People want to know who you are!”
Y/N didn’t know what to do. It was one thing while at the con and they were peppering her with questions; but out there on the streets, vulnerable and raw from the last few days, she hadn’t built up the walls she needed to in order to handle what they were throwing at her. She was infinitely glad Jensen was with her and able to shield her from their attention.
Instead of saying anything, or stopping to allow them a good picture, she politely held up a hand in a brief wave. As their cameras clicked away regardless, she continued walking and ignoring them, until the questions started up.
“How come you have a restraining order against your ex?!” the one called out, just as the other followed up with something similar and just as irritating.
“There’s a warrant too… just issued! Was he the one who broke in? Come on, everyone knows about that. What happened?”
“Jensen… Jensen! Did you know about that?!” the first one asked him.
Y/N immediately felt her body tense and her heart started pounding.
‘How the HELL did they know all that?’ She wondered, becoming scared by how intrusive everything felt right then, but desperately worked on keeping her eyes forward as her grip tightened on Jensen’s hand.
Jared and Rob stopped walking as the paps kept firing questions at her. They turned to see Jensen do the same, pulling Y/N to a stop. Knowing him well enough, Jared jumped between his best friend and the infuriating men before Jensen could do something stupid, and Robbie made his way towards Y/N. He grabbed her hand and protectively walked with her down the street while Jared and Jensen hung back, acting as a shield they stood there to prevent Rob and Y/N from being followed. When Jensen was sure that Rob had ushered her far enough away, he turned to the men and smiled in a way that made them take pause.
“Listen here, guys… you want my picture, have at it. I get it, it’s part of the whole gig… but her… she’s not here for that. So just leave her alone, okay? I see one of you point another camera at her again... ask her questions like that again and I promise you, it’s something you will regret.”
“Jay, c’mon,” Jared encouraged, putting his hand on Jensen’s arm. “You don’t wanna do this, not worth the effort.”
Jensen pulled his arm from Jared’s grip. He could feel himself getting angry, and on some level knew that it was entirely due to the current situation. It was all of it--Dee, Nathan, the break-in--and he was ready to find someone to take his frustrations out on. These two unfortunate souls may just be it.
“Jensen!” Jared called out, finally able to grab his attention. “Hey man, let it go. Not the time or place. Let’s go eat. Fuck these guys, let them be dicks… come on.”
Jensen’s jaw was clenched as he stared down the older of the two men. There was thirty seconds of intense silence where even Jensen wasn’t sure what he was going to do. He knew that Jared was right, it wasn’t worth the trouble, but he wanted nothing more than to take out the weeks of frustration out on one of these two men that thought it was okay to start throwing questions at his girl.
“She’s off-limits. Got it?” Jensen’s expression, coupled with his words were enough to cause the photographer to nod and take a few steps back. “In fact, any pictures of her surface from this, and I’ll know exactly who posted them. You wanna take pictures at the con, or on a red carpet somewhere, go for it. But right now we are off duty. You feel me?”
“Yeah,” the younger of the two said, “whatever you say, Jensen.” He was compliant but Jensen could tell that the man’s tone was still slightly aggressive.
The two men didn’t waste any time moving on after that, but Jensen stood his ground and made sure they were well out of sight before he turned to head in the direction that Rob and taken Y/N. Before he could go, Jared grabbed his elbow and pulled him back.
“Whoa buddy, just hold on there. What the hell was all that about?” Jared asked with a curious snort of a laugh.
“It’s been busy, haven’t had a chance to catch you up on everything…” Jensen sighed and then looked over his shoulder to make sure they were still gone.
“Well, now is a good time. What happened?”
“Not really a great place though. I always feel like they’re lurking. You know?”
“Yeah man, I definitely do. But you gotta tell me what’s going on. C’mon, fill me in on the way.” Jared motioned with his head and started in the direction of the restaurant where Rob and Y/N were hopefully waiting.
By the time they arrived there, Jensen and Jared found Rob and Y/N seated in a far corner booth. Jared was all caught up on why Y/N had come out to San Diego in the first place, and before he slid into Rob’s side of the booth, he sat down next to Y/N and hugged her.
“Jay told me what happened and I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Just know you got us. All of us. Since you have terrible taste and ended up with this guy,” he motioned over his shoulder towards Jensen, “you’re part of our family now. We got your back, okay?”
Y/N smiled and choked back the emotion that rushed up at Jared’s words; the whole situation hitting her harder than she realized. He moved back out of the seat and to the other side of the booth, while Jensen slid next to her and immediately wrapped an arm across her shoulders.
“You alright?” he asked quietly, as Jared and Rob began their own quiet conversation.
“Yeah. I just hate that you have to keep asking me that.”
“Come on, Y/N, none of this is on you. Those parasites, they have teams of people digging for stuff all the time. The minute the press learned your name yesterday, they were on it. I’m just sorry that being with me means your privacy is compromised.”
Y/N nodded slightly and rested her head against him. “It's okay, you’re worth it,” she replied.
He could tell she was trying to be playfully, lighten the mood a bit. But he could see that the usual spark of levity in her eyes was dulled and tired. The rest of the evening was pleasant and quiet; everyone enjoying a final meal in San Diego together. But all Jensen could think of was getting her back up to Vancouver and settling into a little bit of a normal life, with no drama, no complications and absolutely NO Nathan or even mention of his name.
Tumblr media
Early the next morning, Jensen had arranged to have a private plane take them back to Vancouver, and invited the rest of the cast that was flying back to join them. He claimed to the group it was just easier to go together on one plane, but really it was simply to avoid the waiting paparazzi he knew would be stalking the usual terminals at the airport. He didn’t think after the weekend they had, that she’d be up for that kind of swarm, so he made a few calls and splurged on the private ride to his second home.
Back in Vancouver, Y/N found her stride quite easily. Jensen spent long days on set, but she found ways of entertaining herself by exploring Vancouver, checking out their cafes, and shops; even stumbling upon the one where Jensen bought her pendant.
When he was home, they spent a lot of time perfecting the last of the plans for the festival and talking about what songs they wanted to sing together. Jensen helped her write music, and she helped him run lines. They fell into a domesticated bliss that they didn’t see coming, nor did they question it. It all just felt so incredibly right.
Over the next several weeks, they flew back to Austin twice to work on the BrewFest. By the time August was coming to a close, the festival was approaching quickly and their free time dwindled down to nothing.
It was the Thursday before Labor Day weekend, and Y/N was sitting out on the balcony of Jensen’s Vancouver apartment. She had papers spread everywhere, trying to load the schedules into the new laptop Jensen had purchased but was getting frustrated by the updated software.
Y/N groaned loudly and sat back in the chair with a huff. She took off her sunglasses and tossed them across the glass patio table and pinched the bridge of her nose.
“Dammit, Robbie… why you gotta be like this,” she mumbled and then leaned forward again just as Jensen was coming out on the balcony, a glass of cold iced-tea in hand for her.
“What did the little man do now?” Jensen asked with a raise of his brow. “Bitching about the cloud, still?”
Y/N laughed. “No. He updated this shared software we’re using to track the bands and setlists, and it changed everything around.” She whined and sat back again, her bottom lip protruding at the thought of all the extra work this was going to generate. “Ugh. I don’t wanna…”
“So, don’t,” Jensen shrugged and sat in the empty seat beside her. “You’ve been working non-stop for almost a year on this thing. Take a day off, Trix. Come on. It's a holiday weekend.”
“I know, but I’m just afraid that if I don’t, something will go wrong. I can’t have anything go wrong, Jay. I don’t know what I’m doing…”
“That’s bullshit and you know it.” Jensen repositioned his chair to face her. “You are pulling off something amazing here. I am in awe, every day when you tell me what’s going on. What you’ve already accomplished and what this event is going to be… whatever happens, Brewfest is going to be a massive hit. “
“You really think so?”
“Yes, I do. I know it.” He took her hand and tangled his fingers with hers as he sat, thoughtful for a moment, before speaking again. “Do you remember a while back when we made that deal. I said that I would leave you alone about San Diego, but I reserved the right to whisk you away at any given moment?”
Y/N rolled her eyes and inhaled slowly through her nose. “Mmhmm, what about it.”
“Good, cause I’m cashing in that chip. “I think you should go and pack because we’re going on vacation.”
“Ooookay,” she replied sarcastically and chuckled as she uncoiled her fingers from his to pick up the iced tea glass that was now profusely sweating in the August heat, and quickly spreading its condensation all over the table.
“You don’t believe me?”
“Come on, vacation? Seriously? When you said that I thought you meant after the festival.”
“Nah, now. We both need it now. Just for a couple days… I have everything arranged. We fly out tonight, fly back on Monday night.”
“When did you arrange all this? And where are we flying to, exactly?”
The one corner of his mouth tugged up into an impish little smirk. “Well Trix, that’s for you to just wait and see. Pack for someplace warm and make sure to bring a bathing suit.”
“Very mysterious…” she said and pouted her lips, narrowing her eyes on him. Slowly she got up from her chair and moved to sit on his lap, Jensen’s large hands instantly gathering her knees and swinging them up to lay across his thighs. “Won’t you give me a little hint?” she asked, batting her eyelashes animatedly.
He methodically shook his head. “Nope Just gotta wait and see. But I promise you,” he paused, tucking a wild strand of hair behind her ear, “you’re gonna love it.”

California King Bed
Tom Hiddleston fic
Part 1: Issues
*A/N: This is a mini sequel to Friend request pending...
________
Wednesday
She smiled from ear to ear. She hadn’t been truly happy in so long or as long as she could go back to remember. Her hands wrapped around one another. Her eyes closed, feeling the plane descend and touch down on the sunny lit evening of San Diego.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have successfully landed in San Diego, California. You are now free to use your electronic devices. Please stay remained in your seats until the plane has come to a complete stop. Check around your seat for any trash and personal items. From everyone at American Airlines, we thank you for flying with us.”
Aubery rubbed the raised button sized bit of flesh through her freshly dyed tangerine hair. It was a party favor from a car accident nearly a year passed that took a great amount of memories instead of her life but this, San Diego was always a dream she remembered. She was up and out of her seat with her hand clutching her shoulder strap on her bag. Her boots took her forward one step at a time until she ended at the carousel for her luggage.
The anticipation of waiting made her ignore the many chirps of her phone. Some were from a friend she knew was living in the area. They had plans for dinner and drinks with some memories that maybe she could grasp again. A full minute of non-stop chirps and looks from other passengers made her cave in as she reached for her phone.
I’m sorry.
Please talk to me.
I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings. I’m sorry if it was something I said.
“If? That’s a big ass if…”
She rubbed the bump again out of instinct, trying to force herself to forget instead of having her mother’s words burned into her head.
“Aubery, you are not getting any younger.”
She pushed her food across the plate, wishing her mother would finish their little get together. For the many years she tolerated her words, her semi near-death experience was able to give her some clarity. Aubery was hoping it would be given to her own mother in the parking lot but in public would do just fine.
“Is this one of the things I’m supposed to remember? Hang on. I think I need to write this down for later.”
“How about you not be such a smartass? You’ve always been this way since you went off and did that movie, calling yourself Arbidy.”
There were flashes. Dena, she remembered, the smell of leather fabric and a bar bathroom stall.
“I do have offers from people I don’t know. Dena still helps.”
“She won’t be around forever.”
“Thank you, I know that.”
“I thought you were going into nursing like we talked about.”
“Like you talked about. I’m not.”
“I’m not bailing you out like last time.”
“Last time? You fucking kidding me?”
“Can I get you ladies anything else?”
Aubery sighed, knowing by now she would have teared up. Instead, she only smiled.
“We’re done. She’s paying.”
“Aubery Danielle!”
“No, really. We’re done, Maggie. I can’t remember dick and you are having a gay old time, giving me nothing but shitty memories and always putting me down. Lee is gone. He left you, he left me and that’s it. Try and have some dignity to move on instead of blaming everything on everyone else like the bitter old hermit you are.”
“You’re acting this way because of Lucius.”
“Lucius was just like you, caring, manipulative and a total asshole. He put my personal business out in the open just like you did when I was younger. Now, I’m taking a page out of Lee’s book and leaving you behind.”
She got up from her seat and yanked the large packaged envelope from her mother’s purse.
“It’s not that I don’t love our little talks. It’s just that… I don’t.”
She had no idea where the words came from but they felt so right. She turned on her heel and made her way home. In the small space she called her own, she opened the envelope and grinned as an average sized blue box with the Comic Con logo fell heavy into her hand.
Another chirp from her phone got her attention as she looked down to a random number. For the life of her, she couldn’t remember who it belonged to. Every once in a while, she’d get a text, choosing only to ignore it but this time she figured what the hell.
Did you land safely?
“Now that’s just creepy.”
Her thumb pressed the call button just so she could know. The line automatically picked up as she heard laughing background noises on the other end.
“Hello?”
Nothing.
“Hello? Nicholas’ phone.”
There was a gasp instantly drowned out by the intercom above her. Aubery plugged her ear to listen for her mouth breather.
“Look, man. If you don’t say anything, I’ll never know how perverted you really are. I don’t have this contact saved and not only do you keep sending; I don’t answer.”
There was something that could have been a sigh.
“Okay, whatever. Greetings from the West Coast, bitch.”
She ended the call as the conveyer belt shifted to life. She wasn’t bothered by the phone call. Her eyes zeroed in on the green grandma’s sofa fabric of her suitcase rolling back towards her. Her hand wrapped the handle, making her press forward to the sliding doors, planting her feet for a moment in the shining setting sun of California.
“Tom! You alright?”
Tom inhaled as quickly and calmly as he could with a forced smile to his face. Mark’s hand at his shoulder had pulled him back from his daze.
“Yes, all good.”
“Cool. When does your flight leave?”
“Tomorrow afternoon.”
“Mine’s in the morning. We’ll see you there.”
Tom nodded his head, making his way to his room alone. His door slammed behind him, leaving him to open his hand to the still lit screen. A while thirty seconds of hearing her voice after two years the last time he saw her. His heart thundered remembering the purple tie dye dress that slid down her shoulders, the neon pink heels that echoed his head after all that time.
He pushed back the lump in his throat and tried to focus on packing the last of his things. She was in San Diego and the next day he would be too. He shut off his lights and sank to his bed.
Such a big bed and she would have fit perfectly. He closed his eyes praying to find her, to hold her, something he never got to do.
“Okay. I got to do this right.”
Aubery kicked off her flats and turned herself, adjusting for maximum landing. She launched herself back as her whole body hit the king size bed. Her laughter failed to quiet as she peeled off her tights and what was left of her traveling clothes, giving in to her exhaustion thanks to the soft mattress.
“Worth the money,” she sighed.
-
Friday
Her hand wrapped around her long island iced tea and she knew soon it would kick in and reflect her life choices. If anything, it would help her remember. The hidden booth in the corner was perfect for dinner and the drinks that led into the evening. Her friend did what she could but nothing new came to her and she was grateful for the memories she did retain. Long after the check was paid, she was left alone with the drink she was nursing. The waitresses let her be. Aubery knew she couldn’t stay in the booth forever.
There was still so much that she had to do. First, was sleep off her emotions. Her lucky wouldn’t allow her to attend the Con for the full time but there was California waiting for her. There was always the beach. She edged her way out of the booth as it gave her goosebumps, swearing she could feel someone there with their hand on her leg.
“Ma’am?”
“Sorry. I was wondering if I could move this to the bar. I know it’s late but I don’t want to hog the booth.”
“Sure thing.”
The waitress grabbed her drink and led her to the bar to the only empty seat. She cleared the high stool, knocking her bag into the leg of the gentleman next to her. Her inebriated stat made her clear her throat, quick fast and in a hurry.
“Shit, sorry!”
Smooth.
“It’s okay.”
He turned with a flashing grin to her as she returned it.
“Good.”
“Here’s your drink, ma’am. Anything I can get for you, sir?”
He pointed to Aubery’s drink.
“That actually looks good. What’re you having?”
“Long Island Iced Tea, I presume or what’s left of it. I may get another.”
“Then I will take one and one for her too.”
“Coming up, Mr. Ruffalo.”
“Wait, what?”
Aubery’s face reddened more as Mark chuckled.
“That must be strong because I thought you would have said something by now,” he waved off.
“How the hell did I not put that together?”
“Half of your drink.”
“Smart man. It is definitely strong. The east coast could take some notes.”
“Are they really weak over there?”
“Yeah, that’s why our states are red.”
“Ugh, damn American politics.”
“I second that.”
Aubery turned to the new voice behind her. She only had a moment to look at his face before it filled with happiness.
“Arbidy!”
Aubery felt his arms nearly crush her, making Mark laugh. She wiggled away, chuckling nervously.
“I really don’t mean to sound like a bitch but how do you know that name?”
“Au- It’s me, Luke! We worked The Night Manager together. We’re both friends with Dena.”
“Oh, um,” she never enjoyed explaining but it had to be done, “I was in an accident last year. I cracked my head open and don’t really remember much.”
“Shit, I am so sorry!”
“No, it fine. I got this cool bump as a keepsake. Wanna touch it?”
“I’m fine.”
“I do,” said Mark as he reached for her dyed hair.
She faked a sharp wince, making Mark and Luke jump.
“I’m sorry,” she chortled, “but I never got to do that!”
Luke sat in the next available seat and raced through his phone.
“Okay, do you remember this?”
He’d brought up a folder of pictures with Aubery smiling as her neck was wrapped in a pink feather boa.
“Oh, God.”
Tears filled her eyes as she remembered Dena dragging her to a rave scared but leaving with a smile and a sweet-smelling boa she was gifted from the locals.
“That explains why I keep finding pink feathers in my things.”
“Hugh still asks about you.”
“Hugh. Jackman?”
“Laurie.”
“I know House?! Wow…”
Luke wrapped his arm around her shoulder, easing her a little as a few memories began to come back with a vengeance.
Saturday
Tom stepped out of his elevator, wonder if a drink at 2am was the best. He wandered the lobby, looking to the desk, thinking back to the training he did for The Night Manager. Something told him to stop and he did as he looked up to the emptying bar.
“Tom!”
Luke wrapped his hand around Tom’s wrist and led him in the direction of the bar. It would explain why Luke wasn’t in his room. His eyes found Mark and the many empty glassed in front of him and the woman in a light sundress. She pulled the edge of her dress down to cover her shorts. She turned her tangerine hair, knocking the wind from his chest.
“Arbidy.”
It was a single breath that he needed from her again. She was so different. He’d missed her so much. Aubery checked her phone.
2:43am
Nothing good ever happened but she’d make an exception as she sipped more of her brought drink.
“Aubery,” shouted Luke, “You can’t tell me you don’t remember this one!”
Tom lunged forward wrapping his arms around her waist, nearly to his level. He pressed his lips to hers, filling his veins with two years of emotion. Aubery wasn’t sure what was happening. She held onto the bar behind her with her head spinning on a full axis. She shoved Tom away and took a moment to look up. When she did, her blood ran cold.
“Aubery?”
She’d seen his face but it didn’t click until then. It was his hand at the booth that was on her leg. Her heels that clicked toward him. The eyes that burned into her were ones that had taken forever to notice her. A memory filled her head as Tom also remembered. It was too late.
“Asshole.”
“Wait…”
“I waited for 12 hours, you dick.”
“Aubery. You okay?”
“No but it was nice drinking with you guys.”
“Plea…”
Aubery grabbed what was left of her drink and tossed it into Tom’s face. She pushed her way out of her seat and stumbled to the door with Mark following a few seconds behind her. She left them and her phone behind with Luke to break the silence.
“What was that?”
“What part? The drink of the way she looked at me like she didn’t know who I was?”
“Tom. There’s something you need to know.”
Aubery tried to steady her breath as she looked in her bag for her phone.
“Arbidy, wait!”
Tom rushed outside with the phone she’d left behind. Mark was already with her to make sure she was safe.
“Let’s everyone try to calm down.”
Aubery was busy mouthing drink curses to Tom over Mark’s shoulder and he knew he deserved every one of them.
“Can I just explain?”
“No,” huffed Aubery.
“Look. Tom, we have somewhere to be in a few hours. Go get some sleep and I’ll get her a ride.”
“I’m not leaving her. I’ve already made that mistake.”
“I’m not telling you where I’m staying Nicholas Sparks.”
“Fine. New plan. She’ll come with us. We’ll use Luke’s badge to get her in as long as she keeps quiet.”
“Just don’t leave me alone with him.”
Aubery felt it was more for her because even though she was infuriated with Tom, she didn’t trust herself with what she felt for him. She kept her mouth shut and her head down as Mark led her to wherever that were going.
“Here!”
Mark flipped on a light to a conference room with cots spread out from wall to wall.
“Restroom’s there. You need a bucket.”
“No. I can hold my liquor. That I always remember.”
“You can rest here until you wake up. You never know with certain drivers.”
“I appreciate it,” she blushed, giving the badge back.
“Yeah, well, try not to thank me. You will once you talk it out.”
Mark slipped out the door, shoving Tom inside. She rolled her eyes at the sound of the locking door behind Tom. He held out her phone as she snatched it away.
“Can we talk?”
“May as well. Try and tell me the truth. No one else will.”
“Okay, uh…”
“I’ll start. Why’d you leave me in that lobby for 12 hours?”
He started to open his mouth again.
“Seriously, no bullshit. Five words or less.”
“I was scared.”
“Alright.”
“What?”
She ignored him and reached for the nearest blanket.
“I thought you were a good guy, Tom. Like I really liked you from the moment I saw you. It took eight months for you to figure out I was there and even then, I had to torture myself in those damn heels and open my legs for you to get your head out of your ass!”
“You walked into that bar by your choice!”
“Dena told me. I threw myself at you and you run away like a coward.”
“I’m here now, Goddammit!”
“Whatever,” she huffed.
She wrapped herself in the blanket and chose the farthest cot to roll herself onto. He kept some distance between them as he sat next to her cot.
“They all said you had an accident.”
“Just more drama in my life,” she murmured, “the more I try to walk away from it, it always ends up finding me.”
“Can I ask what happened?”
“Made Freud proud and found someone fucked up like my mother. I told him I wanted to take a break, he lost his shit. It was causing trouble on set so I decided to bow out. When he found out, he jumped in front of my car and I crashed. A light pole hit the top of the car and my head.”
She grabbed his hand and led it to the bump.
“Shit.”
“I was in a coma for maybe nine days. There are some things I do remember, some I don’t.”
She let his hand go but it was comforting feeling his hand on hers. Tom laid his head on the cot next to hers.
“You didn’t remember me, maybe it was for the best.”
She couldn’t help but smile.
“I remember how you made me feel. The stall, the booth. I could never stop smiling. I never knew why.”
It was killing him but he stayed put.
“Arbidy?”
“No, Arbidy was… reckless, bold, mostly trouble. I think I’ll go back to Aubery for a while.”
Her eyes drifted shut. She turned to her other side so that she faced the wall.
“Maybe I was too bold for you, Tom. Should’ve taken things slow…”
She was drifting quick and he couldn’t hold himself any longer. He moved onto the cot next to Aubery and wrapped his arm around her waist.
“Aubery.”
He couldn’t believe he had been a coward to her.
“Mmm.”
“I am truly sorry.”
“S’Okay…”
He buried his nose into her hair, wanting to be given a chance he knew he didn’t deserve.
“Aubery?”
“Mmm?”
“Can I keep you? Please?”
He wanted as Aubery fell asleep tucked between the blanket, the wall and himself. He would move eventually to take off their shoes and wash out as much alcohol he could from his shirt but he wanted to moment to last, just is case. He’d let her slip away once before and he never wanted to do it again.
-
Her head didn’t hurt from drinking and she considered herself lucky. Her side did ache and she knew to flip to her other side. The cot under her was heavy as she felt something roll into her. She already knew who it was.
“You could have picked another cot.”
“All taken, I’m afraid.”
She opened a single eye over Tom’s shoulder, seeing mountains of sleeping heaps on the other cots. She closed her eye and lowered her voice to not disturb anyone.
“Nice. What happened to the floor?”
“Terribly uncomfortable but you can always sleep on me if you wish. I would have done no more than cuddling. I swear.”
“Yeah, you wish.”
The AC made her chilly as she snuggled closer to Tom. She didn’t feel as mad anymore and he was so warm.
“Does this mean I’m forgiven?”
“It means you are a source of heat.”
“Here. Take my jacket.”
It helped as the leather jacket was wrapped around her shoulder but she wanted more. She tucked her head down into his chest, smelling nothing but him. Tom smiled, pulling her just a bit closer. When she didn’t fight him, he shifted so that she was laying on top of him.
“I remember how much you loved the leather. Is this better?”
She turned her head up as his hand drifted to her stomach. She could feel him hesitating. It was cute. She took his hand and formed it to the front of her chest as his fingers curled on their own.
“Yeah but I would have done more.”
Her knee shifted up, brushing near the inside of his thigh. It hurt, it hurt so much and he was surrounded on all sides to try and make a move. Shame that his body wouldn’t listen to his head. His hand reached up and brushed back the orange strands that fell from her ponytail.
All she wanted to do was sleep and she knew what he was doing. The bastard was trying to be bold.
Aubery opened her eyes as his burned into hers.
“Tell me what to do,” he whispered.
“No, I shouldn’t have to. Just don’t get us caught.”
A smile stretched across his face. He leaned forward and kissed her without making a noise. Though it would be a challenge and some fun, he wanted her too badly. She pushed herself from the wall and pressed herself against Tom. He shifted his hips slowly into her thigh, careful to not make the cot creak underneath him.
The AC above them kicked on and was able to hide their sighs and soft laughter.
“You may not like it but I miss you being bold.”
He didn’t wait for her to say anything smartass as he slipped his hand past her dress and down her shorts. Her button came undone by itself, giving his hand more room to meet the in between of her legs. Aubery was quick to bury her face into Tom’s neck and indulge herself by grinding her hips on his finger.
Tom felt it safe to bite his lower lip so he wouldn’t gasp from Aubery’s open and welcome legs to him. He traced her with his longest finger to her folds and dipped his finger into her. His own memories came flooding back from the time they were together. He forced himself to stop and pulled his hand away. Aubery pulled her face away in time to see Tom suck on the finger he’d teased her with. His eyes had sunken shut, needing very much to have her again, even if it meant pulling to the bathroom with 10 other sleep people in their way.
He turned her to her back, making the cot creak only once. He pulled the front ties of her dress apart and buried his face into her chest. His finger rubbed her roughly through the shorts. Her fingers curled into his hair to pull him off her breast. He let go, giving her warm skin a single lick.
“No. Not here,” she whispered, “If you want me, then I deserve a real bed.”
“Consider it done.”
He opened his eyes, smiling mischievously as Aubery reached for his belt.
“My turn. Come here.”
Tom almost gave them away as Aubery closed her front teeth around his ear lobe and her hand around his cock at the same time. There was some strength to her grip, enough that he didn’t want her to let go. His heart raced, fighting his deeper urges to push his pants lower. The hairs on the back of his neck stood as he heard the cots creak slowly behind him. So unprofessional to how he looked under his and Aubery’s blanket but he knew it was worth it.
Aubery let him go and traced her nails slowly up his stomach. She enjoyed torturing him, so much closer to him than they were in the bathroom stall. She closed his pants and lazily rubbed him through his jeans. Her grips gave made him calm as his thumb brushed across her bare chest.
“You need to sleep.”
“Will you be here when I wake?”
“What’ll happen then?”
“I want you to wait for me.”
Aubery stopped her hand.
“I am serious. I’ll only be a few hours but I don’t want to lose you again.”
She pulled her hand to her chest.
“Was I ever yours to begin with?”
“You will be now.”
Tom wrapped his hands around Aubery, encasing her with his body warm so she knew that he was going nowhere. He had a chance to prove himself and he was willing to make sure that he wasn’t going to fuck it up.
His eyes closed, hearing his phone vibrate. It was going to be a long day but as long as she was waiting for him, that would be all that mattered. As he slept, someone had gotten off the cot and given him room to turn on his other side. He felt her arm wrap around him. His deep sleep prevented him from reaching back and grabbing ahold of her hand. He had to have been dreaming as her warmth slowly started to disappear.
Wake up! Wake up!
“Smile!”
Laughter made him shift as his eyes opened. He looked up to Mark as he finished taking another picture of him sleep. He rubbed his eyes, looking to his costars waking on the cots around him.
“Ugh. What time is it?”
He rolled to his back, hitting his elbow on the bare wall. That was when he forced his eyes open.
“Where is she?”
Tom rolled to the floor, seeing his jacket folded neatly next to him with a piece of paper on top. He flipped the piece of torn paper open and felt his heart rip from his chest.
I’m sorry.
Mark squatted down so that they wouldn’t be heard.
“She was gone when I got here and that was at least an hour and a half ago. I’m sorry, man.”
He forced himself up and calmly closed himself off in the unoccupied bathroom. He crashed to the floor, shaking, completely out of touch with reality without Aubery there. He kept his mouth closed but he could only cry.

This Week in Powers Squared: Report From the Front: SDCC 2019
Tumblr media
Editors Note: This is taken directly from http://1000wordsadayeasily.blogspot.com/2019/07/a-week-in-writing-256-report-from-front.html which is David’s personal blog about writing.
A day late, but better late than never, right?
Every year, for 13 of the past 14, I've attended San Diego Comic-Con and every year, since I've been blogging, I've written about my experience, first on Trophy Unlocked and then here for the past few years now. I write about my experience at the Con and the panels I've attended, sharing what I've learned in hopes that it will help me make more sense of what I've learned and to pass that on to you, dear reader, in case something I've learned would be helpful to you. I will write about about some aspects of the convention but if you're looking for photos of Cosplayers or a rundown of the MCU Phase 4, I'm going to have to tell you to look elsewhere, as there are much better sources for that sort of information. In all the years I've attended, I've never made it into Hall H, nor have I attended the Masquerade ball they have on Saturday nights. This is the first year that I've attended the event as a Professional, thanks to Powers Squared. Obviously, sales numbers are not taken into consideration when it comes to handing out that sort of badge. Being a Professional means that you don't have to go through the registration process, you get all four days and preview night, and you don't have to pay for admission. While that is all pretty sweet, that is all that you really get. After that, you are simply an attendee with no other real perks, or at least ones worth noting here. For those who couldn't attend, I put up some photos as a sort of travelogue on the Powers Squared Instagram page, which means they showed up double on the comic's Facebook page, Twitter feed, and Tumblr. If you want to see lines and crowds and see where we ate while there, please check that out. Paul and I also did short videos which will be edited together for next week's A Week in Powers Squared vlog that we put up on our YouTube channel. Let's get over the basics, Comic-Con is tiring and expensive. For the most part, you're one in a sea of people all trying to do something different, which means there is general organized chaos going on at all times. Lines are long, even for pre-ordered items, and having a magic ticket, so to speak, means you're at the end of a line that never seems to move more often than not. Some booths, like Hasbro, seem to know how to handle a giveaway while others, like Viz, still do not. Last year, they nearly shut down the Con based on the near-riots that they caused. While I want to have fun at Comic-Con and did attend some panels in that vein, over the past few years I've trying to attend more learning and professional sessions and that's what I write about here. There was one panel, The Art of the Pitch, that I could not get into. Not sure why, but I suspect that it had something to do with Yvette Nicole Brown, of Community fame, being the moderator. Don't know for sure because I never got into the room and I wasn't paying attention to what the next panel was supposed to be in that room. For some panels, especially the popular ones, you have to sometimes sit through one or more prior to get to the one you want to see. I didn't expect one about Pitching to "sell out," so I missed that. There is no substitution for actually attending these sorts of panels. I know not everyone can, so I try to present what I learned to help those who can't. I did make it into Finance Your Indie Comic Now, moderated by Barbara Randall Kesel, and while it featured four male black creators and one woman, as Kesel pointed out, this wasn't about diversity in comics. The nice thing about the panelists is that they, like many in the room, were creatives; Andre Owens had recently become a full-time creative, which is, of course, everyone's goal. Like most panels, there really isn't that much that you haven't already learned and you will sometimes hear advice that is impractical for your situation. However, here is what I was taught in the panel: 1) If you spend more than $162 a page, in a comic book, and your sales are not 5000 and up, there is no way to make money on your book. 2) You should try to price your book at about half of what Marvel and DC charge for the same amount of pages $4 to $5, which means you should price at $2 to $2.50, or make up for it by offering more than what they provide for the same price. 3) The sources for funding are the usual: Crowdfunding (Kickstarter and the like), Print-on-Demand and Digital-only distribution. They did agree that there is a little Kickstarter fatigue that has set in, which, if true, is not a good thing. 4) They did mention a website that I have not had a chance to explore, http://www.creatorresource.com, which is meant to provide comic book freelancing tools and resources. Nerdy Finance was actually a replacement panel, but when I heard about it, I wanted to be sure to attend. Presented by Neil Narvaez, the panel discussed the tax implications of a hobby and trying to run a business, or as he put it, trying to make money. His first bit of advice was to have an accountant do your taxes, as they know, or should know, the ins and outs of the tax codes and will allow you to take full advantage of all deductions. The IRS considers you a business if you are: 1) Acting like a business (i.e., trying to make money) 2) What is the time and effort you're putting into it (can't be an hour a week or a month)? 3) Do you depend on the income generated by your business? 4) Are losses beyond your control? 5) Do you change strategies to be more profitable? 6) Do you have knowledge/skill? 7) Did you make a profit in the past? 8) If you made a profit, how much? The top five deductions for a creative: 1) Home Office. If there is a part of your home that is only used for your business, you can claim that percentage against everything from mortgage/rent to property taxes to utilities as a deduction on your taxes. 2) Travel - to conventions, etc. This is no longer allowed for W-2 work, but if you're your own business, then it is still allowed up to 50%. 3) Meals while traveling. Again, it's up to 50% 4) Materials and supplies. 5) Hiring your children to work in your business. He also talked about the perceived tax advantage of being an LLC. While a Limited Liability Company does provide you with some sort of protection, it does not have an impact on your Federal or State Taxes. He made it sound like it is more trouble than it is worth. In states like California, it costs $800 a year to register. There might be cheaper ways to protect yourself, like an Umbrella insurance policy. He also did not recommend forming an S Corp unless your income is $60,000 or more. Again, costs and bookkeeping, etc. He also talked about Estimated Tax payments. While these are voluntary, if you owe Uncle Sam more than $1000 at the end of the year, they will fine you, so if your accountant recommends you make them, you should. See an accountant! Proper Pitching and Promoting Yourself was moderated by Bryan Kaiser Tillman, a very charismatic behind-the-scenes creative who has been doing some form of this panel for the past 10 years. He opened by saying that you wouldn't necessarily hear something you had never heard before, but he would make it so that you would remember. He went over the top five rules for proper pitching: 1) Know your product. There will be questions asked that you need to be prepared to answer. The better you know your product, the more confidence you'll have when presenting. Rehearse. Everyone is in the same boat you are, but the more you practice what you'll say, the better you'll present. And most importantly, you need to believe in it. 2) BS your way to the Truth. If in your presentation you're asked something you haven't considered before, you'll need to come up with an answer on the fly and then make it part of the story. DON'T LIE!! (as an example: Don't say you can pencil 24 pages in a week because when you can't, no one will hire you.) If you didn't think about it but can fix it in your presentation, do it. But remember to be consistent. If you give an explanation one time, you need to give the same one each time, as you don't want to lose the confidence of those you are presenting to. 3) Don't Cross the Thin Line between Confident and Cocky. No one will want to hire or work with you if you're a jerk. Something that was mentioned more than once in several of these panels is the old adage that you need to be two of three things; Fast, Good, Friendly. If you're a jerk, then you have to be good and fast, which is difficult if not impossible. Be nice to people. Don't be a jerk. 4) Network. Okay, we're all introverts in this room, but it can start with nothing more than saying "Hi" to someone and talking to them. Ask questions. Go to conventions in your area of interest. He made a point that if you're a creative, you don't or shouldn't go to Comic-Con to go to Funko, you should go for the opportunities to meet like-minded people and learn. And don't be creepy. 5) It's not about you. It's about the product. Learn to detach yourself from your work. The final panel I attended, Full Time Creative Work on a Part-Time Schedule, spoke to me when I saw it in the list of panels. Oddly enough, this panel was one of the last ones offered at the Convention. You'd think if you have a full-time job, then you might be leaving earlier than most to get back home. This one was held at 4 to 5 when the convention closes down at 5, so there's no revisiting the floor after this one. This panel was actually pretty good and included an opportunity to network with the panelists as well as others in the room. Of course, it was important to have a business card which one of the panelists, Sean Glumace, emphasized. He talked about the ability to use software like Evernote to ingest business cards and set up networks. To demonstrate, he used his phone to scan and send emails to Trevor, Paul and I during the panel itself. Unlike most people, we actually had cards to hand out. Very effective demo. One of the things I need to do a better job of is following up with people. In addition to having business cards, it is recommended to have a page on Linkedin and Facebook, which people who hire still use and will look there to see who you are and to look at your work. Apparently, Linkedin now has a place for portfolios. They took Q & A, which for the most part was specific to the person asking the question. However, advice to writers: Always Keep Writing, Keep Sharing and Surround Yourself with other writers, including writing groups. They also provided the basics part-timers need to be aware of: Communication - Everyone needs to be on the same page. Focus and Time Management - Rearrange as much of your life as possible so that it points to your goals. Never Too Early to Start - So many people get their start in college. Organization - Make lists and use them. Networking - This comes up in every panel. Support - You need as many people helping you as possible, but it is a two-way street. So much for the panels I attended. Again, if you have the chance to go to Comic-Con or a like convention, then I recommend trying to attend professional panels if they are offered. One of the important things about conventions is to make contacts and to keep up with the ones you've already made. Was able to touch base again with Doug and Corey at the Comic Creator Connection. Their book, Epic Win!, was very important for me when we started Powers Squared. Also able to run into our contacts at comiXology and at IDW. The former is our digital publisher and the latter is someone we've known through various conventions for the past ten years it seems. I had been carrying around printed versions of Powers Squared for a couple of days, which for 9+ hours a day can get quite heavy. I wanted to be prepared, if the opportunity arose, to show them to someone. I managed to get up the courage to show them to our friend at IDW. He was very complimentary, saying they're getting better as they go along, which they should. He also liked the artwork. I had to point out to him that we had changed artists; he had thought the artist had simply gotten better with time. I know it's not much of a win, but hearing that from him made me feel like we're at least on the right track. Did make an effort to support other creatives when I could, reaching out to Don Nguyen and Andy Nordvall, who were doing a signing at the Geekscape booth on Sunday. Nice to put a face to people you've only met through social media. Wanted to support them as well. Bought some of their books and will discuss as I read them. Right now I'm still working my way, slowly, through Spider-Man Noir. Next year, I'd like to try to do some portfolio review with the book. Maybe we could interest someone in picking it up or maybe we could find additional work because of it. In our absence, work continued on Powers Squared, with Rachel sending up four more penciled pages that Paul and I, as of this writing, have yet to have a chance to review.

Title:  Once in A Lifetime Chapter 24
By: @blaineandsamevanderson (SageK on ff.net, kaitlia777 on LJ and AO3)
Graphics and Assistant Brain Stormer: @lauraperfectinsanity
Pairing: Blaine/Sam
Rating: PG
Summary:  Late Spring, 2014 Sam auditions for a role in a TV show and Blaine comes along for moral support…and that’s just the beginning of their adventure!
Authors Note: I don’t know anything about the casting process for a TV show or what the process might be before filming.  This is all fiction.  I also don’t have any affiliation with Glee, Agents of Shield or any of the men and women who are involved with making the show.  Again, this is a work of fiction!
Authors Note #2: This is AU for Glee Season 5, pretty Episode 100 and anything after isn’t applicable to this.  Also, the plot for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was thought of before I saw CA:TWS, but was easily adapted…but let’s just say AOS is AU as of Turn, Turn, Turn.
Authors Note #3: We named Blaine’s Mom Anna before we knew Glee had named her Pam and hired and actress to play her…so we’re gonna stick with our name and FC!
Authors Note #4: This isn’t really a fic for fans of Kurt and Rachel.  They’re the antagonists in this fic and are way over the top (in keeping with Glee’s tradition of being OTT).
Authors Note #5: Now back to the regular path of Once in a Lifetime

Filming the season finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had been bittersweet. True, the idea that they had been in LA for nearly a full year was amazing, but it also meant that they were done filming their first season. They were no longer going to be the new kids....
Of course, that was made less traumatic by the fact that their contracted been renewed and they were going to be regulars next year.  Kitty had taken them out to celebrate when she told the news. It was during that dinner when she had told them she was moving out to LA as well. They'd suspected she would, but until that night it had not been confirmed. Sugar was delighted to offer a spare room at her beach house and Kitty took her up on it.
Two weeks into their summer hiatus from the making the trek back to New York City. Artie had one of his student films accepted into a small festival and they wanted to be there to support him. The movie itself had been pretty good. Sure, Sam had been confused by a few things, but Blaine's whispered explanations helped with that. Artie was over the moon and it even won an award at the festival, which was awesome.
The night after Artie's film screening, Kurt and Rachel hosted a dinner at their loft.  Initially, they only invited a few people, but as word spread to the assorted members of New Directions present to support Artie, the party grew in size.
It was great to see everyone again and Sam thought it was really nice of Kurt and Rachel to throw the party. They were both acting very sweet and he figured they must've realized they had been kind of out of line when they had come to LA. This, he figured, was their way of apologizing and Sam was okay with that, cuz people make mistakes and if they had learned from it, well, then all was forgiven.
To absolutely no one's surprise, Jake, Marley, Ryder and Unique all chose to attend college in the same general part of California.  Even Kitty was taking part-time classes at UCLA, though she was also considering taking on new clients.
“You guys must be thrilled about having your contracts renewed," Marley said Sam with a grin.  "Your fans online are going nuts."
"Yeah and that douche bag Turk seems to finally shut up," Ryder added.  "That dude was seriously cracked."
Kurt was setting out a new tray of... Sam actually didn't know what the appetizers were, but he thought he could see suction cups like you'd see on the tentacles of an octopus, so he was gonna pass on that. Overhearing their conversation, Kurt offered, "You shouldn't be so judgmental. Just because a person has a different opinion does not mean they are...cracked, as you put it."
"The guy was a nasty, deluded troll with a creepy obsession who must've finally realized he was universally hated," Jake snorted.  "I'm gonna judge the fuck out of him."
"I think he was just strong in his convictions," Kurt said, his voice getting high in that way it did when his temper flared.  "Perhaps the rabid fan base bullied him to the point where he retreated out of fear."
"Seemed to me he enjoyed the fights he got into and was always far more aggressive than anyone he argued with," Quinn said. "I remember reading his posts and think he was a classic bully pretending to be the victim type, taking out his own feelings of inadequacy on others."
"I am not bully and I'm certainly not inadequate!" Kurt more or less shrieked and happy chatter in the room faded. "How dare you come into my house and belittle me like that? I demand an apology!"
In the heavy silence, Sam looked at Blaine, hoping he'd misunderstood, but from the look of betrayal on Blaine's face, he clearly hadn't.
In a tone laced with ice, Quinn said, "Kurt... I was talking about Turk McKinley. Is there some reason you took that to heart?"
"Well, I'm feeling kind of stupid for not figuring that one out," Mike murmured as Kurt sputtered denials, but it was too late.
Sam wrapped an arm around Blaine, who leaned into his side.  "I can't even say I'm shocked really," Blaine sighed, shaking his head.  "Just hurt and disappointed."
A flush colored Kurt's face.  "You're hurt and disappointed?!  What about me? I need...."
"You need to shut the hell up," Santana snarled, inserting herself between Kurt and Blaine. "None of us need to hear your weak and moronic justifications for your awfulness.  In fact, I don't think the boys need to be subjected to you at all right now. Party's moving people. Across the hall."
Sam was more than happy with the change of venue, though he was pretty sure they were all little shaken for the rest of the night.
How could Kurt do that?
It took a few hours with the baby goats at the Central Park petting zoo the next day for Blaine's smile to fully return and that made Sam even madder than finding out that the troll been Kurt initially.
No one got to steal Blaine's smile, not when Sam was around!
**
**
After Kurt's revelation in New York, it was especially sweet to return home to LA. A little TLC from their pets had them both in high spirits by the time July and the San Diego Comic Con rolled around.  It was no less thrilling than the first time, though they had a bit more experience getting used to the idea of having fans as well as being fans.
Once again, Artie flew out to join them, though this year he had plans in addition to geeking out.  Earlier in the year he'd begun a blog for posting his short films and other little videos and he wanted to film Blaine and Sam walking around Comic Con interacting with fans.
Only the fans wouldn't know was them, as they'd be in the costume of another masked or cowled hero.
Blaine thought it was a darn cool idea and after a little finagling by Kitty, a deal was worked out for Artie to produce and film segments with financial backing from Marvel TV and they would air on both Artie and Marvel's websites.
A win win situation.
On the first day of the con, they had no panels to participate in, so that seemed like a good time to start. The costumes they got to wear were amazing.
"You know, I love you and your Hulkling uniform, but...," Blaine said, staring at a red, white and blue clad Sam.  "I think I need a kiss from Captain Samerica!"
That made Sam grin and set down his prop shield.  "You make a pretty darn awesome Iron Blaine yourself," he replied, bending down for a kiss.
Artie rolled his eyes good-naturedly.  "Just don't do that out on the convention floor... At least not until we finished the segments and you've done the big reveal.  Then you can totally throw the Stony fans a bone."
"Probably not the only bones being thrown," Sugar teased, making Kitty snicker.
"C'mon boys, helmet and cowl on!  Let's go talk to the fans!"
**
**
The interview surprises went over even better than expected. Everyone was delighted and they took so many pictures with excited fans. Kids in particular were a riot and Blaine adored a picture of Sam holding a little girl dressed as The Winter Soldier in one arm.
At the end of the day, Blaine took off his mask for the last time and Sam pulled him in for a kiss. In most photos, there wasn't a great angle on their faces, so it did look like Captain America was smooching Iron Man in the middle of the San Diego Comic Con!

The next day, during the Marvel panel, the other actors teased playfully.
"Well, you had to go unspoiled big romantic surprise from the next Avengers movie!" Robert Downey Jr. joked, causing the crowd to go nuts.  Five minutes later, when some order was restored, he quirked a brow at Chris Evans.  "They really want to see us kiss."
“And the ones that don't want to see me and Chris make out," Sebastian Stan replied, making everyone scream again.
Joss had to step in then to wrangle the crowd.  "Now, now, I know we all like to speculate about Cap's love life, but we can't spoil everything.  I do have a few things about the new movie I can say though...."
He talked for some time, quite masterfully giving away very little. It was really impressive Blaine thought, eager to hear about the movie himself.
"... And toward the end of the film, were introducing a character from the comics who will play a role in the Marvel movie/TV/Netflix universe... America Chavez!"
Everyone cheered and Sam's hand tightened around Blaine's.
"All you Young Avengers fans know her and cince of bringing America in, of course Billy and Teddy will be there," Joss said turning to them with a smile.  "We kind of figured you two would like this surprise."
Like was putting in a little mildly.
Tiny guest roles are not, they were going to be a part of the next Avengers movie!

Stark struck part 2
You were visiting your grandma in San Diego, California. You are excited to finally get break from school.
When you're done packing, you go over to your sister, Aj's, room. "You need any help?" you ask as you walk in.
"Ya, can you start folding my clothes." you nod in reply, and sit on her bed and start folding shirts.
Aj goes to the closet, and pulls out a massive book. "What's that?" you ask, as you pick up a pair of shorts.
she turns around and gives you a devilish smile. She sits next to you, you look at the boolk and you instantly groan.
"Oh my lord Aj.... you need help." On the book cover there is a gigantic photo of Tom holding a puppy.
You fall on your back and groan even louder. She hits you in the stomach to get you to shut up. "Listen, it's not that weird."
You sit back up as she opens the book. "Me and my friends googled a bunch of stuff about tom when he visits California. I know where his favorite beaches are, his favorite restaurants, and all of that stuff."
You go to take the book from her hands, but she slaps it away. "ow" you mumble. "Why do you need that, doesn't that kid live in London or whatever?"
She nods, "ya... but there's a comic con in San Diego an he's gonna be theres when we're visiting grandma!"
You finally take the book from her hands and start flipping through the pages, "You're going to a comic con? Just to maybe see him? That's so weird."
She shrugs her shoulders and gets up and starts packing more. As you flip through the pages, you notice there's a picture where Tom's not alone.
"Who's that?" you ask, pointing at the man. She looks at where you're pointing, "oh, thats Haz. He's Tom's best friend."
I close the book and throw it on the bed and start walking out of her room, "this is gonna be a weird trip."
An: hello again I don’t think anyone’s reading these lol oh well we’re just gonna roll with it
