Lover - Sirius Black
A/N: ahh! well here it is, a very long one-shot. I'm not sure how, this started off kind of sweet, then it got angsty and then it got funny but I still hope you like it!
Request - Anonymous asked: Hey love! Hope you're doing okay! I wanna start off by saying I love all of your Sirius Black fics so much! They're so fun to read and always make me happy! Secondly I love the whole Potter!reader thing cause I absolutely love James and have always wanted a brother like him. Idk if you're taking requests but if you are I was wondering if you'd do a Sirius x reader where the reader is a Hufflepuff and is the opposite of Sirius and he's like absolutely whipped but the reader is James' little sister ( a year younger maybe cause I love age gaps lol) so yeah sirius is like shitting scared cause he thinks James would hate him forever and all angsty but then James is like dude I knew since like the day I introduced you guys and all happy ending lol. Sorry if it's too detailed. I completely understand if you don't wanna write it tho. Have a nice day!
Warnings: mentions of Sirius' family situation, like I said it got a bit too angsty for a moment there but I think that's it let me know if I missed anything though!
Disclaimer: I don’t own Harry Potter :D gif isn’t mine :)

Tumblr media
You kept walking back and forth in your room. You couldn't sleep. You hadn't been able to sleep earlier tonight, but now it was even worse. When you walked into the kitchen to make yourself a cup of tea you did not expect to find Sirius Black, barely being able to stand as he held on to the kitchen counter. You felt your entire body shaking when you noticed the bruises and blood all over him. But, when he looked at you, your heart broke into a million pieces, that's when you felt like you were going to be sick. He was crying and he looked haunted. You had never seen Sirius like this. He tried to say your name before he collapsed so you quickly walked over to him to hold him up and you yelled for your brother. It wasn't even five minutes before James came running downstairs with your parents following him. And now, here you were, waiting for James to come tell you what happened. Sirius wasn't talking, so if there was a remote possibility that he would, it would be with James. And your parents were helping him so, at some point, you were asked to leave. But James knew you wouldn't go to sleep until you knew Sirius was okay.
"Hey, bug" you turned around when James opened your door.
"Hi" you said, finally sitting on the bench by your window and James joined you. "H-how is he?" you asked nervously. You could tell James had been crying as well.
"He's gonna be okay" he assured you. "I knew you wouldn't go to sleep until I told you that" he smiled. "He's gonna be staying with us now" he explained.
"Good" you nodded. "I'm glad he doesn't have to go back there" you said. You knew about Sirius' home situation. He had talked to you about it a few times, but you had never imagined it was this bad.
"Me too" James smiled at you.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine, bug" he frowned.
"You know it's okay if you're not, right?" you insisted.
"It's just... hard seeing him like this" he admitted, shedding a few tears. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and kissed his cheek.
"You're a good brother, Jamie" you said as you felt him hug you back. "That's why he came here" you told him.
"Thanks, bug" he said, kissing the side of your head. You were about to pull away but you felt James arms tightening a little and you knew he needed more time.
"You should try to get some sleep" you told him.
"You too" he said, getting up. When he was at the door, he looked back at you with a weary smile. "I love you, bug."
"I love you too, Jamie" you smiled before he left, closing the door behind you.
You sighed, thinking that it was best if you also got some sleep since it was almost three in the morning, but you heard something in the room next to you. You knew Sirius would most likely not be able to sleep. So, you went downstairs again to make some tea. But not for you. You knew that Sirius might not want to talk right now, especially with you. So, you just wanted to do something nice and feel a little helpful. You walked quietly to his room and saw that the light was still on, so you were not waking him up. You knocked lightly but got no response, so you opened the room slowly. It was empty, and the bathroom door was closed. You didn't want to cross any lines so you placed the tea on his nightstand and left.
And that's how it started. You did the same thing the following night. This time, when you knocked on his door, Sirius opened it and smiled sweetly at you. He had a feeling it was you the previous night. He was still very quiet, which was unusual for him, but you still offered him the tea.
"I just... thought it might help you sleep" you smiled nervously.
"Thanks, Bambi" he said, grabbing it from you, making you chuckle a little. He had always called you that and, it annoyed you at first, but now you kind of liked it.
"Good night, Siri" you said, walking over to the next door.
"Night, love" he whispered to himself going inside his room.
This kept happening for the following weeks. You slowly saw Sirius coming back to his old self. Your mum had asked you to help redecorate his room so he would feel more at home and you noticed his eyes watering a little when your mum showed it to him. James told him that Remus and Peter would be arriving in a few weeks and that also seemed to lift his spirits up. But if Sirius was being honest with himself, his favorite part of living at the Potters was whenever you brought him tea. It was a small act of kindness on your part but it meant the world to him. He knew you sometimes had trouble sleeping and you were worried that he was experiencing that too, and that warmed his heart. Which is why, one night he opened the door before you could even knock. He stood there on the other side and smiled sweetly at you.
"Oh- s-sorry, I was um-"
"It's okay, love" he chuckled. "How come you never bring one for yourself?" he asked, confused as he grabbed the tea from you.
"Oh" you said, a little taken aback. "I usually drink mine downstairs" you explained.
"Well, would you maybe like to have your tea with me tomorrow?" he smiled sweetly at you.
"Really?" you asked, feeling a little nervous. "I m-mean, yeah, sure, I'd love that" you nodded.
"Cool, see you tomorrow, Bambi" he said, kissing your cheek before you both said good night.
And you did. Every night for the rest of the summer, after James went to sleep, and the rest of the Marauders, once they arrived, you brought tea for Sirius and the two of you spent hours talking. Little by little, you saw him going back to his old self. He smiled more. He laughed more. He didn't seem jumpy or gloomy anymore. One night, you fell asleep and he didn't have it in him to bring you to your room. He liked your company and he felt a lot better when you were around, so he didn't. But a few hours later, you were woken up by his screaming. It broke your heart to see him so terrified by his nightmares, but it got Sirius to open up to you. He felt more comfortable around you with each passing week, until one night, he finally kissed you.
You would have been lying if you said you didn't have a slight crush on Sirius Black. Because he was Sirius Black. Everyone had a crush on him and you were no exception. And in the weeks since he had moved in, you got to know him even more and you felt your crush growing. So, when he kissed you, you were over the moon. That's how it started. This whole thing between the two of you. You both decided to keep it secret for a while. And you couldn't deny that it was even exciting at first. The stolen glances between you, the way Sirius would always sit next to you at meals and hold your hand under the table. Brief moments where he would excuse himself from the other Marauders just to go to your room to steal a quick kiss from you.
But now, that you were back at Hogwarts, being in different years and houses, it made it increasingly difficult to keep your relationship a secret. You knew Sirius was anxious about James' reaction to your relationship, but you didn't think it would be such a big deal, as to practically have your relationship back to before you two got together. Making moments like this extremely rare.
"Merlin, I've missed you" Sirius smiled as the two of you laid on his bed, kissing, with music in the background.
"I've missed you too" you smiled before he pulled you in for another kiss. "It's been such a long week" you complained.
"It's only Tuesday" he laughed.
"I know" you pouted and he kissed you once more. "But we barely got to see each other this past weekend and classes have been crazy and I just-"
Sirius interrupted you with another kiss. "I know, love" he said, placing his hand on your cheek. "But it's a Hogsmeade weekend" he smiled. "Maybe we can go?"
"R-really?" you asked, feeling excited. Because of all the sneaking around, you two didn't even have a first date.
"Yeah, I think we're all gonna go, so you can come with us" he suggested, making your smile drop.
"Oh- um, y-yeah, sure" you smiled again, but, of course, Sirius noticed it was different.
"What?" he frowned, sitting up.
"N-nothing" you tried to assure him.
"Love, you're a terrible liar" he insisted. "I know when something's bothering you" he said pulling you with him.
"Nothing, I just..." you sighed. The two of you never really established what this was and you didn't want to make it a bigger deal than it was. "I'm not sure if I have a Potions exam on Monday" you covered up.
"Oh" he replied before smiling again. "Well, in that case" he said, leaning in for another kiss. "Maybe I can stay back and help you study" he smirked, kissing you again.
"You don't have to do that" you chuckled.
"Oh, I wouldn't mind, sweetheart" he said as his kisses started making his way down your neck. "I wouldn't mind at all" he said between kisses and making your smile appear again.
It was short-lived, however, because the two of you heard the door opening and Sirius quickly pushed you off him, making you fall off his bed.
"Bloody hell!"
"Sirius!" you complained when you hit your head with his nightstand.
"Moony! What the fuck!" Sirius said, looking at his friend standing at the entrance of his dorm.
"What? Just be glad it was me and not Prongs" he rolled his eyes, closing the door and tossing his bag on his bed.
"I'm so sorry, love" he said, getting up to help you. "Are you okay-?"
"No, of course I'm not okay" you glared at him. "You pushed me and I hit my head!"
"I'm sorry, love. I thought it was Prongs-"
"What difference does that make, Sirius" you asked, grabbing your shirt and putting it back on. "We're both half-naked, in your bed, do you honestly think James would have thought nothing was going on? I know he's daft but give him some credit!"
"I panicked, okay! Moony said he would be out until dinner" he said, glaring at Remus.
"It is almost dinner" he defended himself. "And this wouldn't have happened if you just told Prongs already. What is he gonna do? Kill you?"
"Moony, could you please get out?" Sirius glared at his friend again making Remus sigh in frustration.
"Fine, I'll leave-"
"No, don't worry, Remus. I'll leave" you said as you finished fixing yourself up.
"What? Why are you leaving?" Sirius said, pulling you to him.
"I don't know, Sirius, maybe because I don't want to stay here until my brother comes in and you push me again so I hit my head!"
"That was an accident! I just-"
"I know. You don't want James to know about us" you rolled your eyes. "What's the big deal? Remus knows!" you said, pointing at him.
"Remus is not your brother. Trust me, love. I will tell him, I promise I just... need more time" he begged, making you sigh in defeat.
"Fine" you said, grabbing your bag. "I'm still gonna go" you said, quietly.
"Love-"
"No, it's fine" you said with a weary smile. "If it's almost dinner time, that means Jamie's practice is over" you said. "I'll see you both later" you said, leaving and closing the door behind you before Sirius could stop you again.
"I fucked up, didn't I?" Sirius asked out loud.
"Oh, good. You didn't neet me to tell you" Remus smirked a little.
"Moony, I'm not joking-!"
"Neither am I, Pads" Remus said as Sirius put his shirt back on. "You're gonna fuck things up if you keep doing this. And the longer you wait-"
"I know, the worst it will be with Prongs" Sirius sighed frustrated.
"Prongs? You're more worried about what James will say than being disrespectful to your girlfriend?"
"Whoa, that's a big word, Moony" he chuckled nervously. "Bambi's not my-" he stopped as Remus glared at him. "I mean we haven't really-" he sighed. "Ugh, I'm fucking this up, aren't I?" he said, throwing himself on his bed.
"You know, sometimes you're more perceptive than I give you credit for" Remus replied.
"Moony!" Sirius complained, sitting up. "It's not funny! I don't know what to do!"
"Why are you so afraid of telling James about the two of you?"
"Are you joking? You know I don't have the best reputation about dating and if he finds out that I'm dating his little sister he's going to kill me!"
"I honestly don't think he would" Remus tried to reason to him. "I mean, we've all seen how much you've changed this past year" he continued. "And James hasn't seen it but I've seen the way the two of you are together. It's different" he explained. "But you're going to fuck it all up if you keep making her feel this way" he said.
"What way?"
"As if you don't want to be seen with her. As if your relationship isn't serious. And as if you care more about what James says than hurting her feelings" he indicated.
Sirius opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out so he threw himself back on his bed. Maybe Remus was right. Maybe he needed to get this over with and just tell James before it was too late.

The next day, you were coming out of your Charms class and you were still in a foul mood. You loved Sirius, you knew that much. And whenever you were with him, you felt like he might love you too. But all of this hiding and sneaking around made your insecurities get the best of you and wonder if he was as Sirius about this as you were. You understood that he was nervous about telling James, but you kept insisting nothing would happen so, maybe it wasn't just that.
Your thoughts were shut down when you noticed a small crumpled parchment in your bag while you were putting your book away. You opened it and saw one of Sirius' doodles and it made you smile. He did this from time to time. He left little notes hidden in your books and your bag. This one was a small doodle of him holding up a flower and apologizing for being an idiot, asking you to meet him after lunch so the two of you could talk.
"Hey, bug!" you heard your brother walking your way and you put your small doodle back in your bag.
"Hi, Jamie" you smiled at your big brother.
"You going to lunch?"
"Yeah" you replied before you heard your name being called.
"Hey" you turned around to see your housemate and classmate speeding your way. "Oh, hi, James" she smiled. "It's the Potters" she greeted.
"Hi Emmeline" you smiled back at your friend.
"Hey" she smiled. "I won't keep you long, I just wanted to ask you something" she told you. "Oh, and now that your brother's here I guess I can ask him too" she told you.
"Sure, Em, what do you need?" you asked your friend.
"You're really close with Sirius Black, aren't you?" she asked, making your heart drop for a moment. You could tell where this was going.
"She's not as close to him as I am" James smirked. "Why the interest, love?"
"Well, I was just... wondering if... he's single?" she asked smiling as you felt your entire heart shatter. What were you supposed to say now?
"Yes, of course, he is" James answered before you could say something.
"Really? I wasn't sure because you seem really close to him and I didn't want to cross any lines if you two were dating or anything-" she said looking at you. But, again, your brother intervened.
"With her?" he laughed a little too loud to your liking. "Sirius dating my sister? You're joking right, they're just friends" he insisted.
"Oh, that's a relief" she sighed while you remained with your mouth open but nothing was coming out. "So, could you maybe... find out for me if he might be interested?"
"I- uh-" you tried to make sense of this whole thing. "Y-you want me to f-find out if Sirius likes you?"
"Yeah" she chuckled. "We've sort of been flirting back and forth, and since it's a Hogsmeade weekend, I though-"
"Y-you've been flirting back and forth" you said, letting out a bitter chuckle and feeling as if someone was stabbing your heart repeatedly. "With Sirius-?"
"Well, that's a grand idea, Emmeline" James kept interrupting. "Maybe we can have a double date" he suggested.
"What's on your mind, Potter?"
"Well, I happen to know you do some of your prefect rounds with Lily" he smirked. "Put in a good word for me and I put in a good word for you?"
"Really?" Emmeline asked, excitedly.
"Really" James nodded.
"Alright, Potter. You've got yourself a deal" she smiled. "But only if you agree to find out if I have a chance first" she said, turning back to you.
"I um-" you stuttered. "S-so, you want me to find out if Sirius likes you-?"
"Yes, please, will you? Is not too much trouble, is it?" she asked.
"Uh-"
"Of course, not, love!" James waved you off. "We'll definitely have the information in a few hours. I mean, we're just on our way to have lunch with Sirius, right bug?" he said, playfully hitting your stomach with his arm.
"R-right" you said trying your best not to start crying. Were you really just about to set your boyfriend up on a date just to avoid telling your brother?
"Brilliant! Thank you so much! I have my Prefect rounds tonight with Lily so, that works" she told James.
"Pleasure doing business with you, Em" James said as she nodded her head to him.
"Thanks, love" she told you. "I'll see you both later!" she said, walking away from you.
"Oh, Merlin! Bug, did you hear that?"
"What just happened?" you muttered to yourself.
"I'll tell you what just happened. I just got a date with Lily!" he said, excitedly, pulling you with him to the Great Hall.
"I didn't hear that" you said, frowning at him.
"Come on, let's go!" he said, running towards his usual spot. He found Remus and Peter already sitting there but Sirius was nowhere to be seen. "Great! You're both here! Where's Padfoot?"
"He said he'll be right here" Peter said as James pulled you to sit and he took the seat next to you.
"Brilliant!" he said as he started putting food on his plate and yours.
"Are you okay?" Remus asked you.
"She's fine. She's just hungry" James said, placing a massive mountain of potatoes on your plate.
"No, I think I have to go-"
"Nonsense!"
"Hey" Sirius said, appearing at the table and greeting all of you. "Bambi, I didn't know you would join us today" he said, sitting next to Remus, in front of you. "What are you all talking about?"
"Not much" James said, acting casually. "Just talking about next weekend" he said smiling. "Hogsmeade weekend" he continued. "Do you have any plans?"
"Uh, no, n-not really" Sirius answered, looking at you without meaning to.
"Wonderful" James said with a smirk. "I have a proposition for you" he told him.
"What?"
"Well, I was thinking-"
"Shocker" Remus heard you mutter under your breath and your brother quickly glared at you.
"What do you think about going on a double date?"
"Are you asking me out, Prongs? Because I've got to be honest with you, you're not really my type" Sirius asked him making the other two Marauders laugh.
James rolled his eyes and glared at his friends. "No, I just happened to run into Emmeline, you know her right?" he said.
"Um... sure?" Sirius said a bit confused. He looked at you to see if you could maybe provide some sort of explanation, but your eyes were glued to the potatoes on your plate. You didn't dare to look up at him.
"Well, you see, my sweet Padfoot, it looks like our dear Emmeline has a bit of a crush on you" he said happily.
You lifted her look just to see Sirius' reaction who looked back at you, feeling extremely guilty.
"N-no, she doesn't" he said awkwardly.
"Yes, she does! Isn't this grand?"
"G-grand? W-why would that be grand?" Sirius chuckled, nervously.
"Well because she just told us that she wants to go to Hogsmeade with you this weekend and that she would ask Lily so we could go on a double date" James said with a smirk.
"Us? What do you mean 'us'?"
"She just told us before coming over here" he explained, making Sirius' heart stop. "She wanted us to find out if you liked her back" he shrugged.
Sirius instantly looked at you. He knew you were upset. And you probably had every right to. This was it. He should just come out and say it. But he fucked up again. He was a coward.
"She told you that?"
You slowly turned to look up from your food when you felt the four boys looking at you. James still had his stupid smirk on his face, Peter was just curiously waiting for an answer, Sirius was looking at you as if he was going to cry, and Remus was looking at you almost... sorry?
"Um" you said nervously. "She might-have um, m-mentioned something" you said before looking back down.
"Mentioned something? She said you two have been flirting back and forth for weeks" James said excitedly. "So, what do you say? Why don't you ask her out and then the four of us could go on a double date?"
You felt your heart beating faster each second and feared it might explode. Not only would Sirius not take you out on a date this Saturday, but he might even go on a date with someone else. All to avoid telling your brother about the two of you.
"Uh, I don't think so, Prongs-"
"Come on, Pads, is just one date" James kept on pushing.
Remus turned to look at you, who didn't dare look up from your plate. He noticed the tears in your eyes and he turned to glare at Sirius, kicking him under the table.
"I don't really think Padfoot's interested, Prongs" he said, widening his eyes at Sirius. He couldn't believe he was so afraid of James as to even hurt your feelings in the process.
"Of course he is, he's interested in any girl" James laughed. "Well, almost, right bug?" he said, elbowing you playfully on your stomach.
"R-right" you muttered sadly.
You suddenly felt sick to your stomach and you decided you couldn't be here anymore, so you stood up.
"Hey, where are you going, bug?" your brother asked confused.
"Away from you" you answered, grabbing your stuff.
"But you haven't even touched your food" James said, worriedly, looking at the still full plate next to him.
"Well, maybe I'm not hungry anymore" you said grumpily, before walking away from them.
"What's going on with her?" James asked concerned, looking at his three friends.
"I don't know" Sirius quickly replied. "W-why would we know?"
"Yeah, why would we know?" Remus asked, glaring at Sirius.
"It's probably her time of the month" James said shrugging his shoulders. "Honestly is easier to deal with your time of the month, Moony, no offense" he said looking at Remus. "So, what do you say?"
"About what?" Sirius asked, confused.
"The double date!" James said frustrated.
"Uh, I um-" Sirius said awkwardly. "I don't think so, mate. I'm not really interested in Emmeline like that" he said getting up as well. "Um, I'm gonna go see if Bambi's okay" he said, walking out of the Great Hall before any of them could stop him.
"What do you think is going on with him?" James asked confused. "And why is he checking on my sister?"
"Beats me" Remus said casually. He wouldn't be the one to tell his best friend that their other best friend was in a secret relationship with his sister.
Sirius ran after you as quickly as he could. He quickly made his way to the Library, knowing you went there when you didn't want your brother to bother you and he walked over to the last aisle. He saw you sitting there with your knees pulled to your chest as tears fell down your face. It felt as if someone grabbed a hammer and broke his heart into millions of pieces.
"Love" he said, kneeling next to you. You quickly tried to wipe away the tears falling down your cheeks but new ones just came.
"W-what are you doing here?"
"Sweetheart" he said, pulling you towards him. "You know I don't want to go out with Emmeline, right?" he said, as you tried to breathe normally.
"I g-guess" you sighed.
"Look at me" he said, gently lifting your chin with his finger and he then wiped your tears softly with his thumb. "I don't want to go out with anyone who's not you" he said genuinely.
"Sirius..." you said, pushing yourself away from him.
"And I swear we have not been flirting back and forth! I wouldn't do that-!"
"Sirius" you said again, making him pay attention to you. "It's fine" you said, with your voice breaking a little.
"W-what?" Sirius frowned, confused.
"Look, it is clear that your relationship with me is not as important as your relationship with James" you cried a little more. "S-so, if you want to just- e-end whatever this is, I completely understand and-"
"What?!" he said, raising his voice a little. The two of you heard someone shushing you all the way on the other side and he looked back at you. "Sweetheart, I don't want to end things" he pleaded. "I-is that what you want? I swear I haven't flirted with anyone since I came back here and-"
"It's not what I want, Sirius" you insisted. "B-but... I just... I don't know what to do! I don't know what you want-"
"I want to be with you, love!" he insisted.
"Do you? I barely get to see you anymore. We're in different houses, we're in different years the rest of the time you're with my brother and you don't want him or anyone else to know about us! I don't know how long I can keep doing this, Sirius. It just doesn't feel as if you actually want to be with me!"
"I do!"
"Then why can't we just tell James so he can stop setting you up with a different girl every week!" you blurted out. "You think he doesn't tell me things? That he hasn't told me how he noticed you've changed and you don't talk to girls anymore so he keeps trying to set you up with them!"
"Well, of course, I've changed! I'm with you now and I don't want to be with anyone else!"
"But he doesn't know that, Sirius! So he's most likely going to keep doing this until you get fed up and tell him! So, why not just tell him already? Do you not want people to know about us-?"
"No! That's not it!"
"Is it me? Are you embarrassed to be seen with me or something?"
"What? No! Love, how can you think that!?"
"I don't know what else to think Sirius! I don't even know what we are!"
"Please don't ever think that" he said with a stern look on his face. "Look, I know I fucked up yesterday, and today, and probably lots of other times. I've never done this before and I-" he sighed, running a hand through his hair frustrated. "I love you" he said, making your heart flutter instantly.
"Y-you what?"
"I love you, sweetheart, okay? I know that. I've known it for a while. I have never felt like this about anyone and... I don't want to lose you" he said with his voice breaking a little. "I know I've fucked up, I just..." he sighed again. "I don't want you to think that my relationship with James is more important than you. Nothing to me is more important than you, okay? But... love..." he said, looking away. "I got disowned" he said, quietly. "I was kicked out of my family and James..." he continued. "Without him, I wouldn't have anywhere to go. I wouldn't even have you" he explained. "And he's my best friend and he knows me more than anyone. You also know that I don't have the best dating reputation here and... I'm just... scared that he's going to hate me and... then I'll have no one" he said. "I know this isn't fair to you, this is all just... a lot and new to me, and I'm so sorry-"
"Sirius" you said, cupping his cheek with your hand and smiling at him. You pulled him gently and kissed his cheek. "First of all, I love you too" you said, making him smile back at you.
"Y-you do?"
"Of course, I do. Why do you think I was so upset about you going out with another girl this weekend-?"
"That was never going to happen-" he interrupted.
"Secondly, I understand where you're coming from about James" you told him. "And we don't have to tell him until you're ready" you said. "But James loves you too. You know in a different way" you said, making him laugh a little. "I think he loves you more than he loves me-"
"That's not true" he insisted, making you chuckle.
"Either way, he would never turn his back on you" you insisted. "And neither will I" you assured him. He pulled you closer, kissing your temple before he wiped away your remaining tears.
"I'm so sorry, love" he whispered. "I don't want you to feel this way" he said. "I feel like I keep screwing up and hurting you-"
"It's okay, love" you assured him. "I mean, it's not the most ideal situation" you admitted. "But, we don't have to tell him until you're ready" you said. "I just... I don't particularly love that girls keep chasing after you" you mumbled, feeling your cheeks burn.
Sirius gently lifted your face slowly so you would look at him. "I promise I don't want to go out with anyone who's not you, love" he said. "Y-you trust me, right?"
You smiled sweetly at him, brushing his cheek with your thumb. "Of course, I do, love" you said, giving him a peck on the lips. "I love you" you said, feeling your heart flutter at the sweet smile on his face.
"I love you too" he said, giving you another kiss.

"Hey, mate, where did you disappear off to?" James asked when Sirius walked into the boys' dorm. "We didn't see you after lunch, or at Potions, Charms, or at dinner" he told him.
"I uh- was... around" he said, innocently.
"Mhm" James said, looking at Peter. "By yourself?" he asked, making Remus roll his eyes as he kept reading his book.
"I um... well... yeah" he shrugged
"Interesting" James said, sitting up.
"All afternoon?" Peter asked.
"Yes" he said, sitting on his bed and throwing his bag on the floor. "I went out and had a cigarette. What's the big deal?"
"You missed class-" Remus spoke for the first time.
"Nobody cares about that, Moony" James interrupted as he sat on his bed. "See, we happened to hear otherwise, Padfoot" he said, smirking at Sirius.
"What are you talking about, Prongs?" he frowned, looking between him and Remus.
"Well, since you obviously missed dinner, you missed what everyone was talking about" he continued.
"I doubt it was anything interesting-" Sirius started.
"Oh, but it was" James continued. "See it was about you and your new... girlfriend" he said, making Sirius' heart drop.
"M-my what now?"
"Your girlfriend" Remus said, suddenly very interested in the conversation, closing his book.
"What are you talking about?"
"Well, Padfoot, apparently someone saw you today walking out of the library with a mysterious girlfriend" James explained.
"That's insane" he said, chuckling nervously.
"No, mate, it's from a reliable source" Peter nodded.
"Really? Enlighten me, Wormy, who is your reliable source?"
"Marlene and Dorcas" James added. "They all said they saw you leaving with someone who had a Gryffindor scarf" he said, getting up and walking over to Sirius' bed. "So, either you have a Gryffindor girlfriend, or maybe you gave her your scarf" he said, sitting down next to him. "A bunch of girls were claiming it was them but according to Marls, it wasn't-"
"Do you really have nothing better to do than wondering if I am with someone-?"
"See, it all adds up" James continued. "Why you wouldn't go out with Emmeline, or any other girl for that matter" he said. "We just want to know why you didn't tell us!"
"Because it's none of your business!" Sirius said, getting up, frustrated.
"So it's true!" Peter smirked.
"I knew it!" James yelled at the same time. "Who is she?"
"You kind of built yourself up for that one, Pads" Remus told him.
"I didn't say it was true!" Sirius said, feeling nervous.
"You didn't deny it" James smirked. "C'mon Pads, tell us who she is!" Is it just a fling?"
"Yeah, who is this mystery girl and why did you hide it from us? Usually, you brag about your flings" Peter laughed.
"There's no mystery girl and it is not a fling-!"
"Again, you just keep setting yourself up, mate-" Remus intervened.
"Hey dorks, I need some food. I missed dinner" you said, suddenly entering your brother's dorm and the four boys turned to look at you.
"Oh, suddenly you're in a good mood again?" James asked, glaring at you a little.
"I am if you feed me" you said, walking over to your brother's night table because you knew he would have dinner's leftovers. Which coincidentally happened whenever you or Sirius would miss dinner.
"Hey, bug, did you hear about Sirius' secret girlfriend?" James asked suddenly, making you choke on the banana muffin munching on.
"W-what? Sirius has a secret girlfriend?" you pretended to be confused as Remus rolled his eyes when you sat next to him and dropped your bag on the floor.
"Yeah, we're trying to figure out who she is and why he didn't tell us" Peter added.
"Hold on" James said, sitting up and looking at your tossed bag on the floor. "What's that?"
"What's what?" you asked, with your mouth half-fulled at the same time Sirius did.
James noticed something peeking out of your bag. Something scarlet and gold. He quickly got up and grabbed it, taking it out.
"Why do you have a Gryffindor scarf?"
"I um-" you swallowed, nervously. "That's yours-"
"No" he insisted. "Mine is over there" he said, pointing at his opened trunk with his scarf on top, falling out of it.
"Uh- P-Prongs" Sirius started, but your brother looked deep in thought.
"How long do you reckon it's going to take him?" Remus muttered, sitting up.
"Oh for Merlin's sake! I can't take it anymore!" Sirius yelled, frustrated. "That's my scarf!"
"Now we'll never know" you mumbled, giving him a piece of your muffin.
"So, you're the mystery fling?" Peter asked with his jaw dropped.
"She's not a fling!" Sirius argued.
"Wait, how long has this been going on!?" James asked looking between you and Sirius.
"Well, we've actually been seeing each other since this summer" Sirius explained.
"SINCE SUMMER?!" James blurted out.
"Jamie, is not a big deal-" you tried.
"It is a big deal!" he argued. "How come I didn't know about this?" he asked, looking at Sirius.
"Well, I didn't know how you were going to react, Prongs and-"
"So you lied to me?"
"Technically we didn't lie" you told him. "We just didn't say anything-"
"Oh, don't use that with me, I invented that, bug" he glared at you. "Plus, today when we talked to Emmeline, you said you weren't dating!"
"No, I didn't" you argued.
"Yes, you did!"
"No, I didn't!"
"Yes, you did!" James complained as Remus, Sirius, and Peter kept looking between the two of you.
"No, actually, technically, I didn't" you insisted.
"Yes, you di- oohhh" he gasped, remembering your previous conversation. "You didn't! You clever bug, I'm impressed" he smirked, proudly as he gave you a high-fived and you accepted it, rolling your eyes a little. "So you two have been seeing each other for months now?"
"Pretty much" you said, still a bit nervous.
"And this is why you kept turning me down when I tried to set you up?" he asked Sirius.
"Yeah" he admitted.
"Are you happy with her?"
"I am. Very happy" Sirius quickly said.
"Are you happy with him?" he asked you.
"I really am" you replied.
"Okay" he said, sitting back on his bed.
"W-wait, you're... you're okay with this?" Sirius asked, extremely confused.
"Well, I don't love that you hid it from me but... yes, why wouldn't I be?" James shrugged.
"W-well, b-because I thought- are you kidding me? I thought you were going to kick my ass!"
"For dating my sister? You do know her, right? She's more than capable of kicking your ass" he laughed. "Plus, I'm assuming that since it's been going on for a long time it's... a serious relationship?"
"Well, we haven't had our first date yet, but... yes" Sirius said, sitting on your other side and holding your hand.
"Wait, you haven't had your first date, what the hell have you- no! You know what, I don't want to know" James said, glaring at you as you laughed.
"See, mate? I told you James wouldn't mind" Remus said, patting Sirius on the back and erasing James' smile off his face.
"E-excuse me?" James said, getting upset. "Remus knew?"
"Prongs" Sirius said getting up at the same time.
"You mean to tell me that the two of you have been together for months and YOU TOLD REMUS BEFORE ME?!!" he snapped.
"It was an accident, mate-"
"Oh, I'm sure it was!" James said, glaring at Sirius. "I can't believe you did this to me! Why would you betray me like this?!"
"I'm sorry, Prongs! I can make it up to you, okay? Honeydukes, this Saturday, I'll buy you all the candy you want!"
James stood there with his arms crossed. "... I'm listening" he caved.
"But I thought we were having our first date-"
"Oh, don't you even think so, bug! Remus knew!"
"This is going to be my whole life, isn't it?" you asked Remus and Peter.
"Yes."
The End

In your Dreams - Lewis Hamilton x FrenchOlympicBadminton! Reader
Plot: Lewis loves Golfing, Surfing and Skiing, so you’d think if he’d end up with an athlete he’d end up with one in one of his secondary sports. But no, hes with you on the red carpet of the debut of a movie airing about your life and your struggles before becoming the youngest Olympic Gold Medalist in Badminton, and having the most consecutive medals too.
Warning: lots of dark themes and undertones about your backstory in this one’s, specifically abuse in the system, parental pressures, grooming and SA (by an ex partner) etc
Credit to yuzuchupachups for the GIF
Tumblr media
You walked along the red carpet outside the Leicester Square cinema where the exclusive showing of your new movie was occurring.
Lewis couldn’t keep his eyes off of you in that pretty red dress he loved. The moment he saw you in it, his brain had pretty much short-circuited and his only thoughts were off you.
He knew in the red carpet photos you’d be there radiant as ever and he’d be looking at you like some love sick puppy. But he really didn’t care, this was your night and he was here to support you … his fiancé.
“Thank you for being here tonight. I know it wasn’t easy to get time away” you smile up at him, holding him close to you and looking at him with an adoration he saw often. You knew he was busy with the season as it hadn’t started off as Mercedes Gad expected and he was under a lot of pressure from Toto that he’d been feeling overwhelmed most days.
“You know I’d do just about anything for you my Cherie” he said using the nickname you loved.
“I needed you here tonight” you smile pulling him into a kiss, the camera flashes instantly picking up speed and consistency making you giggle into the kiss.
“I know darling” he says keeping his hold on your waist tight as you walk past the photographers and paparazzi posing every now and then when they ask you to stop.
You eventually get to the people interviewing you, happier to be in a calmer than the one at the start of the carpet.
“Y/N it’s amazing to have you here tonight on the premier. Feeling right now?” She asks and a grin comes into your face.
“Amazing, honestly to have my personal story but out in such a raw and public way is such a helpful step for people who maybe or may have suffered the way I have an gives a message of hope to anyone who has ever felt the way I did that the road doesn’t end there!” You nod loving that you will be helping millions of people who have shared the same experience as you.
“So before we go in, tell us a little about the film!” She probes.
“Well, it’s starts on the note of me growing up pretty tough and with no outlook for my future, being tossed from foster to foster home, the hard times and abuse I went through there before I come across Patrick DuPont, who we know very well as my trainer and the main reason I ended up where I am today. It moves through my teens and realising I’m talented and some things and how I was naive enough to not see the manipulation and abuse I was put through as a result of that and how I was used by many. It guides you through my most important relationships with people both the most gnarly and the most pure. It’s a really moving and emotional movie that I know will being lots of people including myself to tears” you explain the rough synopsis to her, making her nod and check her pad in-front of her that an assistant was holding out for her.
“And obviously adding onto those relationships, who will we be seeing a lot of?” She asks and you nod.
“Obviously towards the start in my early childhood, you’ll see a lot of my foster parents and my childhood best friend Emilie Bustlen, as I grow up you meet Patrick and my main foster family. For legal reasons we had to change names around because of this so they are know as the Laurent’s before we meet Hunter Goshill, my ex partner and some of my competitors. Before we finally find a safe haven, in this man right here beside me” you smile pulling Lewis forward and closer to you, he looks a little shocked that he’s now in the full shot of the camera rather than off the the side and has a mic code to him.
“You guys met when Y/N was 19 and you must have been what 25, 26? How did that work in 2011?” She asks knowing that’s when you met.
“Obviously I met Y/N at a race, she was there alone walking through the paddock and I just fell in love with her. Once I worked out who she was having an Olympic gold medal I was introduced to her by my then team principle Martin Whitmarsh and I proceeded to win that race. Was Germany! Obviously the year after she was travelling to London for the Olympics and as my home country of course I came with her as it tied in nicely to my summer break. After that she was the one that convinced me to make the move to Mercedes and apart from proposing to Y/N that’s probably the best thing I’ve ever done” he admits.
“Woah, what a lovers story obviously prior to that, Y/N you were in a if you don’t mind me saying quite a pressured and dare I say toxic relationship with ex partner Hunter?” She asks and you nod looking down for a second before feeling a squeeze on your hand in reassurance.
“I mean it shows it better in the film that I can get into words, but I was very young and naive. I looked for anything that would give me the slightest bit of affection which I would often just confuse with attention. And of course that came from someone who was older than me, and knew how to take advantage of me, without it ever feeling like he had I’ll intentions because I was so desperate to feel. Lewis has thought me many things but being loved the right way is the best thing” you smile looking to your soon to be husband with pure love, no other intentions just two souls mingled together as they should be.
“Really a beautiful couple and a beautiful story, just is heartwarming finding out what you’ve been through and how Lewis has helped break those walls you spent years building. I’m so excited to see this movie, and everyone at home watching this is your sign to get to your local cinema and buy a ticket for In your Dreams: The Story of Y/N Y/L/N ” she smiles.
You nod beofre saying a polite goodbye and heading off.
You answer some more questions, some about the movie some about your goals for 2024 in Paris if you’ll get your 5th gold medal for Team France, some were as trivial as what and who you were wearing.
“God, I just want to go home to Roscoe now” you sigh as you enter the theatre, going to get some treats for you and Lewis while the movie is on.
“I know baby, just a little longer. Then we can get started on our wedding planning hmmm?” He asks looking over you and making you smile and pull him into a passionate kiss, teeth clashing and you pulling him in by the nape of his neck.
You walk past some critics giving them smiles and some small talk before they let you on your way.
You eventually sat with Lewis at the front row will all the cast and directors next to your guys as the film came up on the screen.
It was everything you’d envisioned. Tear jerking, heartwarming and moving. Lewis was brought to tears and many others in the theatre who didn’t know the full extent of your story were coming up to you after the film talking to you about your life and how your success had a whole new meaning to them now.

ੈ♡˳·˖✶ — IDOL! GOJO x ROCKSTAR! FEM READER
Gojo loves the untouchable. You’re an off limits rockstar who thinks he’s an idiot. The only thing he can do is take that as a challenge, right?
wc — 6.8k
tags — non detailed mention of idol industry EDs, pride and prejudice type energy tbh, reader is a little superior about being in a rock band and not “selling out”, Gojo has an annoying habit of pointing out their hypocrisy, sneaking around because you’re public figures, nsfw jokes, minor nongraphic blood
Tumblr media
Gojo’s not your usual type. He’s too pretty for that, with those long lashes like a doll’s. They’re stark against his pale skin when he flirts with you, peering alluringly at you through half closed eyes like the cheap tricks that get his fangirls to scream will work on you.
He’s too easy to break for your taste, but from what you hear on Twitter, that’s why people like him. There’s something charming about the gap in his image that draws people in. People are dying for a taste of vulnerability because he's so cocky, but it's easy to make him beg.
There’s a million clips all over the internet of the moments he’s caught off guard, carefully hoarded instances in his career where a genuine embarrassed flush comes over his cheekbones, made into gifs and Tik Toks and YouTube videos.
That’s not your thing.
You like people with tough hearts and tougher reputations. People who could take the beating of public opinion without a flinch, not some soft spoken idol who needs his management to hold his hand through an apology. You like your fans, but they know their limit with you.
It’s not love, not like with an idol. It would never be, you made sure of it. You’d quit before you ever issued an apology for dating someone.
You hate to be a stereotype almost as much as you hate the idea of becoming a pushover, but you’ve dated a string of bad boy exes who were all exactly what you would expect for the lead singer of a rock band. A little rough around the edges, dark and smoldering. Men who would wear your red lipstick marks like a badge of honor. People who had never even heard of something like an idol image.
Maybe that’s why no one saw it coming. You were safe, established. Gojo was out of your usual pitch.
It’s too bad for the fans that you’ve always been a bit of a daredevil. Trying new things has never scared you. You’ve always been willing to test your limits to find the gold in the muck. That’s how you grow.
That’s how you ended up here, sitting thigh to thigh with the boy wonder of the idol industry.
“Aren’t you playing a dangerous game here?” You ask as he nudges even closer to you, far beyond what you’re sure his fans will permit. You’ve heard horror stories about the lengths people will go to if they see their idols even look at someone of the opposite gender.
“Why, you scared?”
“You wish. You’re the idol here. It’s your reputation on the line.”
He smiles at you, saccharine sweet. “I don’t like letting other people control me.”
That earns your begrudging respect, even if his bony knee is knocking into yours. He’s so lanky it makes you a touch concerned. Shoko’s girlfriend is an idol, and she’s constantly sneaking her food under her manager’s notice.
That’s another reason why you could never be an idol. Letting someone else dictate your life like that sounds like hell. It was hard enough to convince you to be here in the first place.
Your band doesn’t do promotion, least of all you. It’s all homegrown talent and homegrown fans, but you’re in stasis. Your growth has plateaued. Like all artists, you’re beholden to bills to pay to keep the music going. You’re big enough to know when you have to make sacrifices.
It’s nothing personal. That’s just the industry, from pop stars to idols to bands like you. If nothing else, you all share the solidarity of giving anything for the music. You just think you have a harder limit for anything than idols do.
The host kicks off the segment before you have time to do further analysis.
“Welcome back to Hot or Not, the variety show where we pit your favorite internet heartthrobs against each other! Please welcome today’s guests - they may not be the duo you expect!”
The camera pans to you and Gojo. His smile is instant, soft and natural, as real as if he were genuinely overjoyed to be here. You have to give him props for that, at least. He’s good at his job.
As soon as the camera pans to you, his expression flickers and returns to bored disinterest. He yawns, his teeth pearly white. Veneers, maybe. His tongue flicks around the sharp tip of one canine, his smirk nearly fanged. There’s the feature he’s so famous for, the one that has him edited into cat reaction memes all across the internet. Kitty Gojo and his kitten fangs.
He’s a grown man. You think you’d jump off a building before you let your teenage girl fans put cat ears on you and coo at you.
To each their own, you guess. Gojo didn’t seem that perturbed by it. To be fair, he didn’t seem perturbed by anything.
“Let’s start with Gojo! Remember, if you don’t feel like answering a question, we’ll put you in a surprise challenge with your partner.”
“Sure,” he says easily. “I’m an open book.”
“Let’s start easy. What’s your favorite song off your new album, Blue Spring?”
Gojo makes a face. “Pass.”
“Sorry, maybe you didn’t understand the question-“
“No, I got it. That’s boring,” he says. “Give me the challenge.”
You’re amused despite yourself, and fighting not to let it show. There’s the troublesome personality you’ve heard so much about. He wouldn’t be half so popular if he wasn’t so pretty, but that attitude and that face made for a dangerous combination.
The host is trying to salvage the situation with an easygoing laugh. Backstage, you hear someone mutter, “Gojo is gojo-ing again.”
It’s all so funny until you realize he’s dragging you into his mess as they set up the challenge.
Your host explains the rules too quickly for you to catch in their entirety, but it’s something along the lines of a staring contest. You’re supposed to do everything in your power to make the other lose a straight face, with words or actions.
“Are you allowed to do this?” You joke as they start strapping the electrodes on you to measure your heart rate.
“What do you mean?” Gojo’s mussing his hair up so he looks more artistically roguish.
“You know, just being an idol and all. I figured you wouldn’t be able to do things like this without your fangirls jumping on you.”
“Ah,” he says, scooting his chair closer to you. You’re knee to knee as they finish the last details of fiddling with machine. “You’re one of those types?”
“And that means?”
“You think I’m an idiot because I’m an idol.”
“I didn’t say that,” you protest, watching the monitor to make sure your heart rate isn’t jumping with your words. It’s just a game, but you’re competitive.
“No, but you’re thinking it. What else? Maybe you think idols are also soulless grifters?”
You wince. It’s not that you think so terribly of idols, per se, you just understand and recognize their need to please their company. They’re products before they’re people.
“I got it right, huh?” He’s pleased with himself.
“Am I wrong?” You retort. “You’re really going to tell me you love singing your overproduced pop music for the tween girls who will buy anything you put out as long as you’re pretty enough?”
“Aren’t you here too? Lot of talk for someone who’s sitting right next to the sellout. You know what they say about birds of a feather…”
It’s all in a whisper, so no one else hears - or sees your startled reaction to find out the pampered show dog has a little bite in him. You could retaliate, but if you’re being honest?
This makes you respect him more.
He’s right, anyway. You did sell out by being on this show.
The machine beeps. He smiles, slow and sweet - or at least it would be if you didn’t already know there was an edge to it. “I win.”
“Wow!” You’ve never found the host more annoying. “That got heated at the end, didn’t it, folks? Do you mind sharing what Gojo said?”
You smile at the camera in a way that feels more like you’re beating your teeth. “It’s a secret.”
You’re not mad at him. If anything, you’re impressed. The person you’re really disappointed with is yourself.
So he’s not what he thought you were. So he challenged your biased preconceptions on idols. So what?
It doesn’t mean anything, but you can’t get him out of your head.
The rest of the show is an easy and welcome distraction from your inner turmoil over the possibility of maybe potentially tolerating an idol. Throwing out witty answers and being neck to neck with Gojo in winning mini games is much preferable to having to experience emotions. It’s only when it’s over that the problems start.
You watch as he gets up, biting your lip and debating to yourself. It’s only when he’s halfway out the door that you make your decision. You’ve always been a do or die kind of girl.
“Hey. Want to get dinner?”
You just want to make sure he’s eating. No other reason.
His manager frowns behind him.
“We’re in a weird spot,” he says. “The only thing around are convenience stores.”
“That’s fine,” you say. “We can get instant ramen.”
“I’ve never had instant noodles,” Gojo says.
“Seriously?”
“No, not seriously,” he scoffs. “Just what kind of lives do you think we lead?”
“Deprived ones,” you toss over your shoulder as you lead him towards your monster of a customized car.
“Oh, no,” his manager is beginning, but Gojo is already sliding comfortably into the passenger seat. His poor manager looks nervously at you as you turn the keys. “Are you sure that thing is safe?”
“Don’t worry,” you tell him. “If this thing crashes, I’m in here too.”
You don’t think that reassures him, but your own manager will handle it. You pull out of the parking space and head for the road.
Gojo’s impatient. He tries the handle almost before you’re done parking. You’re like that too - always ready to move. This time, you’re one step ahead. You lock the door before he can leave. He gives you a startled look and glances outside again, clearly weighing his options.
“Relax,” you say. “I’m not a crazed fan. Put these on before we attract an actual stalker of yours.”
You toss him a hat, sunglasses, and a mask. You’ve started keeping them in your car ever since you’ve been hanging out with Shoko and her girlfriend, who was famous enough to get recognized in the street for her autograph. He wrinkles his nose but obediently puts them on.
It doesn’t do much to hide his overall air of Gojo-ness. He steps into the store like he owns it, which he very well could.
The steam rises from your bowls and coats Gojo’s sunglasses. You’re surprised he can see inside, but he has no trouble navigating. He tells you he has 20/20 vision.
One thing leads to another and suddenly he’s bragging about his perfect grades when he attended school. He’s a natural genius, which isn’t really a surprise.
“I thought you were supposed to be a bad boy,” you tease. His glasses are slipping down his nose. You reach out to push them back up before anyone notices. His eyes are rather remarkable, after all. Anyone would be able to tell who he was at a glance.
“Me?” He gives a choked laugh. It sounds nice. You’ve haven’t heard it before, not during the show. He was more polished then. The ways in which he rebels against being an idol show up unexpectedly.  “Nah. That’s all Getou. He’s the one with a hidden face. You wouldn’t believe what he’s like when the cameras are off.”
“Somehow I don’t believe you,” you joke.
“I’m serious,” he whines. “I’m pretty sheltered. Grew up rich, you know?”
Who doesn’t know? The Gojo name is pretty famous. One of the biggest conglomerates in the entire world, it broke major news outlets when the heir chose to be an idol instead of the next president.
He’s always been in the public eye, but kept separate like art at a museum. You have a nasty tendency of wanting to ruin things that you’ve been purposefully warned away from. It’s sort of a thing of yours, a bad habit you haven’t put too much effort into breaking. The more impermissible something is, the more likely you are to try, like a cat knocking a glass of water off a table.
Corruptible isn’t the exact right word, but it’s what comes to mind. You want to mess him up a little. Put your grubby rockstar hands on him and leave smears behind so his fangirls see his tainted reputation. You don’t, of course. It’s just a passing thought that you wouldn’t risk actually jeopardizing his career for.
It would just be nice to see him live a little more freely.
The temptation clears with the last of your noodles disappearing into your mouth. There are things that are off limits for both of you. Those are just the sacrifices you’ve made for your dreams. That’s all there is to it.
It’s so good you sigh at the loss of it, mourning your empty bowl. Gojo’s almost done himself. The minute he finished his noodles, he lets out a breath to mirror yours, then laughs once he catches himself.
“Come on,” you say. “Let’s get you home.”
You think that’s the end of it. There’s no reason to go any further. You met an idol and he obliterated your previously held prejudices. You’ll never meet again.
That’s not quite how it works out.
When your manager offers you another chance to see Gojo, it’s nonchalant. “Remember that idol you were partnered with on that variety show? I know you don’t like those types, but you seemed to tolerate him well enough. There’s another-“
A yes flies out of your mouth so quickly it’s embarrassing.
Your manager pauses. His eyes narrow. “Didn’t expect you to be so eager, but okay.”
Your face burns with embarrassment. This isn’t like you at all. Even with your exes, you had been cool and level headed. Always the prize, never the one to give chase.
He’s interesting, you try to rationalize it to yourself. You like interesting. Life was mind numbing without a kick, and he was the latest thrill. It didn’t mean anything more.
It’s another variety show. Apparently the two of you had been so popular as a pair that they wanted more.
Gojo’s in the makeup chair when you arrive. The artist is scolding him for blinking while she applies his mascara. He’s whining about his dry eyes.
“Don’t be a baby,” you say, dropping into the chair next to him.
“But that’s what I’m best at!”
“You’re so weird,” you laugh.
The makeup artist groans. “Please don’t encourage him.”
Only Gojo would take that as encouragement. He rolls his eyes and receives a light swat across the shoulder for his troubles. You play around on your phone while you wait for her to be free, but soon grow bored. Instead, you watch her swipe powder across Gojo’s face and dab cream onto the apples of his cheeks.
“Stop staring,” he says.
“How do you know I’m staring? Your eyes are closed.”
“I can feel it.”
“Well, you’re wrong.”
“You’re such a bad liar,” he says, and you know he’s just messing around at this point because you’re an incredible liar. It’s your best quality.
Falling into banter with Gojo is as easy as breathing. It’s no trouble at all to replicate it on the show. From the shadow, your manager gives you a double thumbs up. Dork.
Sometimes it’s hard to remember that you’re doing this to drum up popularity for your tour. You’re not the only one having trouble. Gojo pulls you aside after filming wraps up to give you his personal number on the phone he’s not supposed to have.
At night, you get an alert that you’ve received something from Gojo. It’s not a message. It’s a notification that you can save three tickets to your digital wallet.
A speech bubble pops up.
Come to my concert, he says. I got you VIP seats.
Gojo’s impressed you, but you still don’t know about the rest of his band. You’re not sure you want to watch pretty men lip sync and grind on the stage for two hours, but when you tell Shoko, she offers to bring Utahime. That’s conveniently three, so you might as well.
VIP seats don’t include backstage, so you’re surprised when security comes to retrieve you. There’s no backstage pass for this concert, actually, confusing you all the more.
Shoko flaps her hand dismissively at you, encouraging you on. By her side, Utahime is trying to feed her snacks. Satisfied that they’re comfortable, you follow the guard to Gojo’s dressing room. He leaves you there without a word.
After five minutes of waiting for something to happen, you knock. Instantly, Gojo’s voice invites you in.
He’s sitting in front of the dresser, fiddling with his earrings. You’ve noticed seven piercings in total - three on his right lobe, two on his left, and one conch on either side. Before you knew him, you would’ve been surprised an idol would be allowed to get so many. Now you know he bends the rules whenever he’s able.
“Pass me that?” You hand him the disinfectant. “Thanks. I didn’t think you were coming.”
“Then why’d you send me tickets?”
“Thought my roguish good looks and natural charm would win you over,” he says with a smile that says he’s only half joking.
“You’re insufferable,” you say as you bat his hands away from his ear. “Let me do that.”
His hair is soft as cygnet down as you brush it behind his ear. There’s something innocent about his expression like this, watching him from above. His eyes are closed, breaths soft and even as he waits for you.
The silver pools in your hand as you thread it through his ear, a waterfall released when it hooks on. He wears a lot of silver, you’ve noticed. His stylists favor colors that should wash him out but only make him look more angelic. Pale blue silk trims his form, encrusted with embellishments to make him look prince-like. There are sparkles in the inner corner of his eye, soft blush on his cheekbones to make him look sweet.
He’s anything but when his eyelids flutter open and he notices you watching. A smile almost cruel tugs at his lips. His hand reaches for you as if-
There’s a knock on his door for the last curtain call.
“That’s me.” He stands up, brushing his lap off without a trace of anything other than professionalism. He’ll leave you wondering what he was going to do. It’s terrible how good he is at this, though you suppose it’s his job to leave people wanting more. “Keep an eye out for me on stage, will you?”
It’s hard not to. Your eyes are polarized to him. Even when something else catches your attention, like fireworks or confetti, he pulls it back. Greedy, that one.
You’re not the only one. The crowd lives for him. There’s something electric about him on stage. He naturally draws attention with that height and attitude and face, but what happens when he’s performing is inexplicable. You’d call it a religious experience if you believed in a god.
Fate has never factored into your life, but now you’re starting to consider worship. Gojo performs like he was born to be an idol.
Keep an eye out for me, he says, as if you’d have any trouble. You’ll dream about him tonight. The way his mouth fits so sensuously over the words of a love song snags your thoughts like a fishhook. Sick desires run through your blood, each more depraved than the last.
You want to watch him shed his beautiful silk skin for you, become nothing more than man again. You must retract your prior confession. There’s no longing for the altar in you, only a love of sacrilege.
Gojo asks for coffee easily, as if you’re two normal people and not celebrities with a lot to lose if you were caught together. You can’t let him outdo you, so you agree. These are the reasons why your manager curses your recklessness. Shoko calls it bravery, when she’s feeling sweet on you.
The second message comes a second later.
Gojo Satoru 11:25 I only said it to see if you’d agree Here’s my address lol can’t believe you said yes  Attachment
You think he gives his address out too freely for a man worth 30 million. The feeling only intensifies as you get out of your car and thank your driver. His gates are pearly instead of the standard matte black, a stark declaration of wealth. He’s practically asking for an incident to happen.
Security buzzes you in. Someone in a white dress - an honest to god maid - leads you to a mini kitchen where Gojo’s waiting. His hair is wet and dripping down his back where his powder blue shirt is darkened to a navy. You thought you had gotten used to overblown displays of money after your first three years in the music industry. Clearly, you were mistaken.
He looks up as you enter, reading a trashy tabloid as he stirs whipped cream into a tall glass of something that looks more like a sugary heart attack than coffee.
You’ve never seen his bare face, you realize. Even that moment when you had walked in on him and the makeup artist, he had been nearly done. He looks practically the same without makeup. People with genetic good looks like him only need to enhance their appearance the tiniest amount.
What really strikes you is how earnest he looks, soft and open-hearted, though that might be because you’ve caught him in his home. This is what you wanted - him without his skin on, naked and without pretense. He’s wearing cotton pajamas and white slippers.
“I thought you’d come later,” he says. “Sorry I got started without you. I was feeling something sweet.”
“I’m early, though?”
“I’m always late,” he says with a one shouldered shrug. “Thought you might be too. Guess you’re not my perfect girl after all, huh?”
You shove his arm off the armrest of his chair to perch on it, ignoring the perfectly good chair across from him. This is better, anyway, easier to talk to him. “Don’t be absurd. I’m everyone’s dream girl.”
Gojo chuckles. “I like confident women.”
There’s been a question on your mind for a while. You knew his group was popular, but all this? Maybe you should’ve become an idol after all.
“Where’s the rest of your band? I thought idols shared rooms.”
“Some do,” he says. “Not so much when you make it big. But this is my family home, so none of that applies.”
Gojo Satoru of the Gojo conglomerate. How had you forgotten? It shouldn’t be so easy to ignore something like that.
Gojo shifts the conversation easily, but you notice. So he doesn’t like the connection, then. “How was the concert?”
“Don’t fish for compliments,” you say, stealing a sip of his drink before it reaches his mouth. It’s too sweet for anyone’s standards. You spit it back into the cup. He takes it from you, eyes it consideringly, and takes a sip anyways.
Your mouth drops. “You’re so gross.”
“Only for you, baby,” he moans, humor like a teenage boy. “Call me names again.”
You roll your eyes at him.
“It’s fine, it’s just saliva. Now tell me the truth. You couldn’t take your eyes off me, could you?”
They’d probably sooner pop out of your head and roll away than leave the sight of him, but you can’t tell him that after all you’ve said about idols. Instead, you push off your seat to go rummage through his cabinets. He has a fully stocked coffee cart in this room and the very latest espresso machine, all to choose his diabetic monstrosity instead.
“You don’t need to respond,” he says cheerfully. “Your silence tells me everything I need to know.”
“Do you think you know me that well?” You shoot back. His fridge is so big you think you could fit into it. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you’ve registered that he’s moved from his seat as well, and now stands just behind you.
“Of course I know you,” he says. “I understood you the moment we met.”
“You’re very confident,” you note.
You have a weakness for confident men.
“So you liked my concert. Can I come to yours?”
You imagine Gojo in a mosh pit for a second. It sends you into a laughing fit while he stands there, bemused. You can’t shake the incongruous picture of him, with his face like a carefully crafted porcelain doll, getting rowdy and wild with your fans. Ridiculous. Never in a million years.
“We don’t have VIP seats,” you warn him.
“So?”
“So it can get dangerous.”
“Aw, you do care about me.”
“I care about the fat lawsuit your company’s going to send me when their moneymaker breaks his leg at my concert. It’s not happening.”
“You scared?”
“No, but maybe you should be.”
“Come on,” he says. When had he gotten so close? It’s distracting. “I know you’ll take care of me.”
Gojo had invited you to his concert. It’s only right to return the favor. An idea starts forming in your head, though you’re not sure it’s a good one. You tell him anyway.
Usually when soundcheck is over, you have a little bit of downtime to relax backstage. You’re expecting someone tonight, however.
A rough knock on the door announces Satoru Gojo, spoken in your security guard’s rough voice. Well, he really introduces him as pretty boy idol, but you can guess who it is.
He looks discomfited, a rare occurrence, as he closes the door behind him.
“What’s with you?”
“You’ve got groupies,” he says, looking rattled.
You fight a smile.
“Don’t laugh,” he pouts. “They’re insane. One of them tried to chase me here.”
You can’t help yourself. A giggle bursts out of you. When he tries to leave, you pin his hand to the handle and coo reassurances at him so he won’t.
When you head out the door, he surprises you by grabbing your hand. It’s as nonchalant as anything he does, so you rise to the challenge he sets by refusing to react to it. You only separate once you reach the stairs; him to the spot you’ve made for him behind the barricade, you to the stage.
This is one of your favorite venues, moody and atmospheric. The lights are dimmed to your preferred setting, but your eyes adjust quickly. Your crowd is restless tonight, shifting on their feet as whispers follow raucous laughter through the crowd. Noise on noise, the way you like it.
The wood of the floor is a little sticky beneath your boots as you walk. That’s history gumming the soles of your shoes, generations of artists before you. You’re starting to feel it now, the electric thrum of pure joy in your blood.
Shoko is strumming light tunes on her guitar to warm up, her eyes closed. You hope she doesn’t take it too hard that Utahime couldn’t make it tonight, though you know if she’s upset, she’ll channel into her music.
The crowd settles as the hour draws closer. Shoko’s fingers are liquid now, running through chords effortlessly. You wrap the cord of the microphone around your hands, letting the tension build mindlessly. A stage is like home to you. The crowd plays in the palm of your hand, energy ebbing and flowing as you will it.
It starts with a guitar solo from Shoko. By then, the crowd is already burning with excitement. The first burst of sound from the speakers has them roaring, cheering even though there’s no lyrics to it. The smallest smile touches her lips as she plays to the crowd, showing off exactly why she’s lead guitar for the greatest band in the world right now.
You step in on her heels, your voice rising over the music. Back before you knew how this felt, you almost quit singing, annoyed by the sound you were forced into. This is more your tempo. The almost guttural curl to the ends of your words, the rasp of your hoarse voice - this is beautiful to you.
The crowd is yours. Anything that goes on is within your jurisdiction, higher than any judge or god. You notice everything in your realm.
People are starting to move now, their bodies falling victim to the music. Their mouthes form the vowels and consonants of the lyrics as their bodies shudder and jerk, chained to the rhythm. Bodies ricochet off each other, love taps of respect for your aggressive voice, soaring above it all.
In the corner, there’s a violent eye of a storm. You think it’s a particularly enthusiastic dancer - perhaps a circle is about to form - before you realize what’s actually going on.
A fight is breaking out. You catch a glimpse of snow white hair, realize it’s near the barricade, and your stomach drops.
It’s Gojo and another man, ignoring the security guard trying to separate them. You try to stay professional and play through it, but then you see red.
Gojo’s hand flies to his face, his nose dripping with crimson. He doesn’t look any more injured than that, but you’re angry enough to step in now. Shoko stops as soon as you hold your hand out, the music veering into a screeching crash.
“You, in the black tee!” You realize you should’ve been more specific when what looks like the entire crowd looks down at their equally black shirts. “No, the one that just punched Gojo Satoru. Yeah, you, asshole! No fighting at my gigs! Especially not my guests!”
He had the audacity to yell back. “I was just showing him a warm welcome!”
You climb off the stage. Gojo didn’t show any fear while he got hit, but there’s concern in his eyes now as you drop to the ground by him.
“Wait,” he says, “wait, wait. I don’t think you should-“
“Shut the fuck up,” you snap, pushing him behind you until his back hits the stage. “Let me handle this.”
You get in the man’s face. His eyes are bloodshot - drunk, probably. “Who do you think you are, starting shit at my shows?”
“You’ve sold out,” he slurs. Definitely drunk. “He doesn’t belong here.”
“You don’t get to tell me who can or can’t come to my goddamn show,” you snarl, vicious and low. “Get out.”
“You can’t-“
“Get out before I make them drag you out.”
When he doesn’t move, you motion security over. “Does anyone else have any complaints?”
The crowd is eerily silent for something that was moving like a beast with one mouth before, singing in unison. You clamber back on stage, turning around to grab Gojo’s hand.
“What?” He says.
“Up. Now.” Your tone brooks no argument. You haul him up with you. He stands awkwardly as you drag him towards your mic stand, your arm slung around his shoulder. There’s still blood on his face.
“Gojo Satoru is a very dear friend of mine,” you announce into the mic. You see the confused looks in the crowd. Even Shoko seems wary. This wasn’t on the schedule. “If you're a real rock fan, you'd know that music is more than genre. I get it! I didn’t think idols were anything more than corporate shills either-“
“Harsh,” he whispers under his breath, unable to control himself even now.
“But he proved me wrong. He’s a real performer, just like I am, and I expect the same respect for him that you give to me.”
This is your crowd. They listen. Someone whistles.
You sit Gojo down, right by your feet. He gives you a bemused smile as the concert starts again, you moving around him like one of your props. He spends most of the concert lounging back, watching you through half lidded eyes.
It might’ve been enough excitement for one night, but you’ve always been the type to push your boundaries. When the idea springs into your head, you act on impulse, not giving yourself too much time to think about it as you pull Gojo to his feet.
You’re really manhandling him tonight, but he doesn’t seem to mind. He’s only a little startled as you pull the mic away from your face to get into his space.
You misjudged the distance. Your forehead knocks into his, just enough to sting, but not really hurt. “Do you want to try something?” Your voice is a whisper to not get picked up by the mic.
“Give it to me,” he says, and his smile is a bloody thing.
When you angle the mic towards him, you’re careful about not hitting him this time.
His voice works surprisingly well for rock. You weren’t sure he could pull off such a sound change, but he surprises you every time, matching you best for beat.
When he pulls back, your hand snakes into his hair and yanks him towards you and the mic again. He sings wholly at your command, being jerked around by your desires. It’s an inferno on stage, sweat pouring down both your faces. Behind you, the crowd is screaming so loudly it nearly deafens you.
Not a bad encore, you think as you towel off in your dressing room. Shoko left for a cool down with a bottle of ice water right before you, her post concert ritual, but the look she shot you says that you need to talk. You’ll deal with the consequences later.
For now, it’s enough to have Gojo shaking with leftover adrenaline against you as you sit him down in your chair. You press a bottle of ice against his face, watching him shiver. He’s still pretty with all the blood. Prettier, somehow, like some teenage wet dream of a vampire from a young adult novel.
You want to lick the sweat out of the hollow of his collar bones. Instead, you talk to him to rid yourself of your insane thoughts. It’s always a little crazy in your head after a good stage.
“Well?” You demand. “How was it?”
He tilts his head, considering. It makes you nervous. Now that you know how good of a performer he is, it almost feels like a test to receive his judgment.
“I think I’m in love with you,” he says, slowly.
“That good, huh?” You smile, trying to ignore the aching pressure behind your ribcage. You shouldn’t care so much what he thinks. Why does it matter?
“Yeah,” he says. “When are you free? I gotta plan our date.”
“Huh?”
“That was so sexy,” he says. “I was thinking about taking it slow, but I’m not going to last if I wait. I want to date you. I want to marry you.”
He’s starting to worry you. “Did you have a heat stroke or something? That’s really fast. Really, really fast, Gojo.”
“I’ve never been more clearheaded in my life,” he says. You only believe him when the medic clears him of any injuries, even the nose.
“We can talk about marriage later,” you say. “Why don’t you tell me about the date for now?”
Two weeks later, you’re Gojo’s plus one to his first movie premiere. It’s his debut as an actor, and it couldn’t be a better one. He escaped most of the negative pushback that usually comes with transitioning between those two industries, being naturally good at everything. Still, he had worked hard, and you’re proud of him.
It feels like you’re the only one, because the man himself doesn’t even care about his accomplishment. He’s too busy being delighted about hiding in plain sight. The cameras flash at you as you walk across the red carpet, arm in arm with Gojo. Your stylist had coordinated with his. It could almost pass for a couple’s outfits.
“You know,” he says conspiratorially. “When you defended me at the concert, I got hard.”
“I didn’t need to know that.”
“It was really hot.”
“You know there are people who can read lips, right?”
“I wish they would figure out what I’m saying.”
“Alright,” you say, rolling your eyes. “Let’s get inside.”
Dating Gojo is nothing like what you’d expected and everything like you’d expected. He keeps surprising you, doing wild things to get your attention that you never thought an idol would be willing to get their hands dirty with. He might be even more of a daredevil than you are, constantly pushing the boundaries of what you both can get away with before you’re found out.
In a way, it’s almost like you’re asking for it. You’re both straining at the bit to claim each other. It doesn’t come as a surprise when it does happen, then.
“Huh,” Gojo says over ramen. “We got papped.”
Utahime, understandably, freaks. “What? That’s not funny.”
“Oh yeah?” You say. “Are the pictures good at least?”
“You know we always look good. Could’ve gotten a better angle, but whatever.”
Utahime’s working herself into a minor tizzy in the corner. “Guys, I need you to be more serious about this. This is bad! This is so bad!”
Shoko looks up from her phone and chips on the couch, lying flat on her stomach. “Hate to agree, but she’s right. What are you going to do about it?”
“Nothing,” you shrug. “What’s the point? There’s nothing we can do about it. They have the evidence.”
It had been a good run. Two blissful months of peace and quiet. Sneaking around had been fun, giving you that thrill you loved every time someone failed to recognize you and Gojo behind your stupid sunglasses. Still, it was bound to fail at some point. You’re honestly surprised it lasted for as long as it had. You can’t be mad. Two months is more than you could’ve asked for.
“Well,” Gojo says. “Wee-llll.”
“Spit it out,” Utahime gripes at him.
You take another bite of ramen, content to let them argue without you.
“There is something we could do,” Gojo hedges.
“You’re so annoying,” Shoko says.
“No one thinks you’re funny,” Utahime chimes in.
“Hey! She thinks I’m funny!” Gojo frowns. “Tell them you think I’m funny.”
“Sorry, babe. I never lie to my girls.”
“Whatever,” Gojo sighs. “Guess you don’t want to hear my genius idea then.”
“Don’t be a brat,” you tease, knuckling his head. He loves it when you roughhouse with him.
“What if…” The hesitation is real this time. You can tell the difference between when he’s faking it or not. He’s a good showman, but you know him. You place an encouraging hand on his knee.
“What if we went public first?” He says it all in one breath.
You take a moment, turning the idea over in your head. It would wrest back control of the narrative to your team. Even if you might get backlash, it wouldn’t be at someone else’s hands, beholden to their mercy. You like it.
“Sure,” you say.
Gojo gapes at you. ‘That easy?’ His thoughts are written all over his face.
“Why not?” You offer him one of your easy smiles. “I’ve always wanted to say you were mine, anyway.”

----------------------------------------------
There’s just something about the air in the stadium before the concert; it feels like with every inhale, it immediately turns into adrenaline. With its graininess accentuated, one can almost sense the atoms buzzing in the air, like a shoal of sardines forming a bait ball, enclosing him, a cyclone where he is the eye. Is this what Josh means when he writes “carbon dancing through time” ?
His mind is racing a million miles a second; it’s like hoping onto a car with broken brakes, he’s bound to hit something in the hazardous terrain——
Knock knock. “Jake?”
As if someone pulled the switch, he is snapped back to reality. He immediately recognizes the voice of his lover. The sweetest sound in the world. His shoulder visibly relaxes, the corner of his mouth turning up, and his heart feels tender. He has always appreciated this—forever so considerate and thoughtful, always respecting his privacy even though they have already been together for so long.
“Come in!”
As expected, his lover’s face came into view, the familiar smile.
“I got you the salad you wanted!” You said, raising the white plastic bags in your hands.
You can tell he is anxious the moment you push open the door. Years of a committed relationship must have formed some kind of telepath between you two. You can almost sense it in the air. Is it a thing though? Like the service dogs that can smell it when their owner’s heart is beating too fast. Well, you know someone’s heart is certainly racing now.
You can’t quite figure out where his anxiety is coming from. They boys are at the middle leg of this tour. Is it from the traveling? Or maybe it has to do with his string snapping during soundcheck earlier? Or it could just be his brain playing tricks on him. And you respect that, even amazed or amused because you know it’s from the very same place where all the amazing melodies and witty remarks are born.
You spotted the glass on the vanity. Amber liquid barely covering its bottom, corresponding to the proportionate empty space in the newly-opened bottle of whiskey right next to it. You know Jake is never one to get plastered before going on stage. The alcohol is just a pacifier for his nerves. You follow his gaze to the white roses sitting in the vase. He’s remained quiet all this time, not even trying to hide his feelings, only giving you a smile through his reflection in the mirror. The comfortable silence hangs mellowly like willow branches, a mute radiation of his trust and vulnerability.
You set the bag aside and squat down in front of him, thumb brushing the back of his hand. You know better than to ask questions like “are you okay”. You know that right now your physical presence is already a comfort for him. You’d rather let him take the lead for the rest.
Jake tilts up your chin—a silent cue for kisses. You happily oblige, feeling his lips forming a smile upon contact with yours. He releases a contented sigh, pulling back after a moment. “I’ve missed you.”
“Yeah? You’ve got me now.” Now sitting across his lap, your hand rests gently on his cheek. Jake immediately leans into your touch like a cat, turning his head and pressing kisses into your palm.
“They already double-checked it. I’ll ask them to pay extra attention before the show starts, just to make sure.” You said, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, revealing the little hoop dangling.
Jake hums, knowing you are referring to the snapped string earlier. Stupid mistake. His throat feels dry, “I’m sorry, I don’t know why I——”
“Shh,” you give him a peck on the lips, “none of that. You don’t have to explain anything. Those feelings are valid. And they are temporary.”
Then a brilliant idea strikes you.
“We’ll take a walk, alright?”
“Here?” He cocks his head in slight confusion.
He immediately recognizes that you are giving him a taste of his own medicine. Well, in a good way. He knows you are talking about one of those “mental health walks” that he proposes when you are engulfed by the noises inside your head. But the backstage is not street gardens or some hiking trials in a park, how will that work?
“Yeah, you have time. Right?”
There’s indeed at least a good half an hour before the last sound check. He can’t argue with you. By the way, when were he ever able to say no to your invitations? This little genius mind of his lovers, constantly conjuring up the most amusing and endearing words and ideas like the hat of a magician. With a resigned smile, he caves in, placing his hands in yours.
“Come on, up you get, you lazy butt.” You step back and pull on his arm.
“Hey, you love this butt!” He protests in feigned grievance.
“Yup, can’t deny it’s a nice one.” You jokingly smack his ass as you follow him out of the dressing room, feeling happier hearing his banter, seeing him slowly getting back to himself. He’ll get there, you will make sure of it.
The corridors are generally quiet around this time, allowing the artists to rest before the real frenzy starts. Occasionally, stage crews pass by, rolling equipments boxes down the hall. You two swiftly move out of their way, hand in hand, strolling as if window shopping in the mall. You are entertaining Jake with a funny little incident you saw on your way to buy him food.
“You should’ve seen it, really,” you snort out a laugh recalling the scene, “that poor lady is struggling so hard and the shopping cart is just running away from her, loaded with two cases of Guinness!”
Jake is laughing with you, slightly shaking his head in disbelief. You turn to admire his profile, the apple of his cheek rising, the wrinkle to his nose deepening, his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down. There’s nothing you love more than seeing Jake smile and laugh, it never fails to create that fizzy feeling in your heart, like a bubble approaching the surface of a cream soda.
Having jumped out of your storytelling, your attention diverts back to the feeling of Jake’s arm snaking around your waist. Now his hands are sliding up your sides, from the small of your back to the sweet spot on your flank.
He turns to look at you. Upon meeting his gaze, you immediately pick up the implicit plea. His caramel eyes full of admiration, the edge of his iris grows fuzzy. His eyelashes flutter as his gaze falls to your lips.
You cover the distance between you with a kiss. This one is different from the one in the dressing room. The tip of his tongue tickles your bottom lip with small licks before him pulls back a bit and mutters under his breath, “Want you, want to be close to you.”
Once again, you are more than willing to indulge.
It’s just so convenient that you happened to be near the corner where a pilaster protrudes enough to hide you from the passersby. As your back hits the wall, your fingers are already tangled in Jake’s hair, holding him close. You are circled by him, his freshly applied cologne lingers, now well adapted to his skin, bergamot wrapping the hidden notes of pepper and cedar. Jake kisses along your jawline and traces downwards, creating a dotted line of kisses across your breasts and hovering over your navel. His hands tugging on the waist of your pants. As he unzips it smoothly, he dives back in with more kisses, nibbling on the material of your underwear.
“No,” you mumble, tugging on his elbow motioning him to stand up, “I want you in me.” You loved it when he goes down on you, but not now. Now you need it to be about him, you know he needs it too.
There is a halt in his movement, suddenly his eyes a shade darker.
“Yes, let it out, Jake.” You hold your forehead against his, making sure he hears every word certain and clear. Whatever it is, a much-needed release, a claim of territory, an outlet of his bundled nerves. “Use me. Fuck me.”
“You’re gonna be the death of me.” Jake sucks in a breath.
You smirk, tilting your head back against the wall and surrendering more of your body to his arms. Jake’s hands on your thighs cover the coolness of your skin as your pants pool around your ankles. His knuckles tracing your heat through the fabric, the ghostly touch making you squirm.
“Please, Jake.” You loop your arms around his neck, raising up a leg pressing it into the side of his waist.
“So wet for me already, angel.” With frantic eagerness, he takes out his length and pulls your underwear aside. Your slickness draws his hard cock inside as he bottoms out in one firm and steady thrust. Jake was looking down as he enters you, his eyebrows creased in concentration, eyelashes throwing shadows under his eyes. He never fails to marvel at the way your bodies connect, it catches him in awe every time no matter how many times you have fucked, just as you are exploring each other’s bodies for the first time. When his gaze meets yours again, it’s like moonlight spilling behind clouds. You are the only object of his vision.
“Yes!” You mouth silently as he starts moving, him picking up the pace almost instantly as if placed in a running wheel. Jake’s head nuzzles into the crook of your neck, hot breath radiating and him lapping up at whatever area of skin he comes in contact with. His arm goes under your knee and finds leverage on the wall, the other hand holding onto your pelvis, pinning you in place. The rough texture of the brick wall rubs against your back along each shudder, magnifying the titillation deep inside you.
You feel like with each thrust his insecurity and anxiety ebbs away like the snaky morning fog, replaced by his confidence and charming self: the one you know will work his magic on stage tonight just like ever, the one that will make the entire stadium shake and roar just by his fingers moving across six strings, the one that proves both to the world and to himself again and again that “it could be done”.
You can feel him swell and twitch against your walls, you squeeze you thighs and clench, knowing he’s getting close. The spasms of his cock tickling that particular spot to the point of no return, the ecstasy washing over you like a cascade. The whines and screams rolling and tumbling in your chest like a pot of boiling water, threatening to jump out of your mouth. You roll your eyes back and swallow them down, releasing only one suppressed moan of “let go, baby” against Jake’s ear, and that is enough to send him over the edge.
With one jerk of his body, he cums hard. You can feel the additional thickness of his release almost dripping down your crotch. Jake’s whole weight falls towards you with the hunch of his shoulders. His chest presses firmly against your body, its rise and fall teasing your still hard nipples.
You hold his head against your chest as he comes down from the high, fingers brushing away the naughty strands of hair that have flown into the corner of his mouth and stuck to his cheek.
“As much as I would like to stay here forever, you really have to get going. They must be looking for their rockstar everywhere.” You chuckle while shimmying out of your rumpled underwear, using it to clean up.
“Damn.” Jake leans back against the wall as he watches you, still on cloud nine and short of words. For a moment, all he can do is look at you.
“Stop staring.” You nudge him, unable to stop blushing facing his caramel eyes filled with unadulterated adoration. You bet if you could reach into them, you would find a handful of stars. Plus, Jake looks exceptionally beautiful post-fuck, the upturn at the corners of his mouth accentuated the curve of his cupid’s bow. The smug smirk is counterbalanced by the rosy blush on his cheekbones, a tell-tale sign of his satiated desire. Good. That’s what you’d expected and what you’d like to see.
Jake cups your face in both of his hands as he leans in for a kiss. This time, almost childish, his pouted lips pepper all over, the bilabial “mwah” is especially pronounced, causing you to giggle again.
“Quite the walk, huh?” You insinuate.
“Well, now I prefer to call it the ‘mental health fuck’,” Jake slowly straightens his back, resembling a cat stretching after a content nap. “Catch you on the flip side, my love.”
He was already a couple of strides away when he rushes back to kiss you again, catching you in surprise. Aggressive and fervent in his actions, but oh so gentle when his mouth meets yours. This is the type of kiss where he takes the lead, and you are completely at his mercy. The tip of his nose brushes against yours, and his teeth softly bite your lower lip. It’s a kiss that steals your breath and your heartbeat away for tits entirety . “You know you are my lighthouse, yeah?” He stares right into your eyes, his voice low and husky. “ You always guide me back when I’m lost at sea. My Leucothea, my Lady of Luck.”
You feel a lump in your throat, and every word goes straight to your heart. The feelings there are so overwhelming that they rise and swell like tidal waves. It;s so much love that it makes you want to cry.
“Gosh, Jake, such the poet.” That all you manage to say.
“Because you’re my muse, my angel,” Jake smiles again as he steps back one last time. “And now it’s time for me to set sail again, yeah?”
“Aye aye,” you blow him a kiss, “Fair Winds, Captain.”
You watch as he leaves. The Starcatcher symbol on his back standing tall and proud. The crystal embellishments on his jacket scintillate, jet crystals and glass beads shimmers, reflecting the lights like a thousand stars falling onto his shoulders. He is the warrior that breaks their fall, wearing them proud as a crystal armour. You watch as he marches forward, carrying on his shoulders the weight of dreams. Your dearest rocker, the bravest captain.
For Jake, the atoms are still buzzing, but now he can feel them moving rhythmically, like the joyful wings of a hummingbird or the secret dance of bees. They delivering a yet undecipherable but nonetheless auspicious message. Soon he will be going on stage, carrying a heart full of love from his lover, so he can give all his love to his fans out there. And he knows if he looks, he will find you among the crowd, a cluster of flame, a powerhouse of love.

“It was mortifying! I have never seen an uglier dick in my entire life!” you howl, throwing your head back as you laugh.
Tears stream down Steve’s face as he laughs. He takes his hand off the wheel, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. “Did you say that to him?”
Your laughter falters and you shake your head. “No, unfortunately.”
“Did you tell Carol that?”
“Yes, and she didn’t talk to me for a week.”
“Maybe you should insult Tommy again, then,” Steve suggests.
You sigh with a smile, leaning back in your seat. “That’s a great idea. Hopefully my next insult will make her never talk to me again.”
Steve laughs breathily, relaxing behind the wheel. He comes to a stoplight, taking a moment to glance at you. You look so pretty sitting in his passenger seat. The red and green traffic lights create stripes over your body. Your eyes are shining so bright, brighter than he’s ever seen. And you have the same smile on your face you’ve had for the whole night. You look happy. Happier than you’ve looked in a while.
He slowly presses on the gas once the light turns green. Comfortable silence overtakes you two. It feels nice.
Dinner ended up being great. You underestimated how much fun you would have fun with Steve while not having sex. The little sleepover you two had was a precursor, but it was only for a couple hours before you two felt asleep, and there were moments where it got hot and heavy. Tonight was a totally knew experience.
You two were on your best behaviors. Totally innocent. It was natural. You didn’t feel like you had to fake anything. You feel like you could do this with him forever.
Steve pulls into your driveway, parking the car and turning to you. He looks bittersweet.
“I had a great time tonight,” he says. “Me, too,” you nod with a grin. “We should do this again.”
Steve’s eyes widen in surprise. You laugh in reply, knowing he would be shocked.
“Totally,” he nods ecstatically. You giggle softly, “I’ll see you tomorrow, Steve.”
“See you. Have a good night.”
Your stomach flips as you watch his eyes flutter to your lips. You’ve kissed him a million times, but this time feels different. More sentimental and pure. You have to remind yourself you two are just friends with many, many benefits, and you intend to keep it that way.
You decide instead of kissing his lips, to kiss his cheek. He deserves a kiss for being a gentleman tonight, just not one that will spark something.
He appreciates the peck on his cheek, still smiling from ear-to-ear as if you’ve actually kissed him. He has a sparkle in his eye, the same sparkle that tells you he’s being mischievous or he’s hiding something. You let it go for tonight. You don’t want to ruin the perfect day you’ve had.
“Have a good night, too. Drive safe, Steve.” You get out of the car, walking to your house with a big smile on your face. You still feel giddy and energetic as if you were still at dinner with him. You hope this feeling will transfer to tomorrow and the next day and the next week.
“Hi, honey! How was dinner?” your mom asks.
“It was good,” you smile. Your mom glances to your dad with a little smirk.
“So, are you two dating yet?” she asks. “No,” you say curtly.
“You sure? You both have been hanging out a lot recently.”
“I’m sure, Mom. We’re just friends. Best friends.”
“Okay,” your mom hums. “How about we have him over for dinner, then? As a friend.”
You roll your eyes. This is your mom’s game: making everything no obvious to the point where it is.
“He’s always super busy. He won’t be able to make it.”
“He’s not too busy to spend all his time with you,” your dad remarks.
You shoot him a glare, to which he returns a smile. “He has like, basketball practice and homework.”
“I heard Steve Harrington doesn’t do homework,” your dad snickers.
“Where did you hear that?” your eyes widen. He shrugs, not answering you and continuing to read his book.
“If you really dont want us to meet him, that’s fine. We respect your decision, but we would also love to meet the boy you’ve been hanging around with so much,” your mom says.
You sigh softly. You know your mom worries about you whenever you hang out with people, especially boys. You’ve always been very communicative with them, which allows them to trust you more. But they’ve never met Steve and you know for a fact your parents are dying to. Your mom is always asking about him and what he likes, where he wants to go to college, if you like him. She’s obviously rooting for you two, and although it’s cute, you wish she would stop. You don’t have the heart to tell her to stop, though. Not when there’s a small part of you that’s rooting for you two now.
“I’ll ask him,” you say. You leave it at that, climbing up the stairs and locking yourself in your room.
You approach Steve anxiously. You’re happy to see him. You haven’t for the whole weekend. He chose to stay at home and help his mom around the house since his dad was gone for a business trip.
“Hey!” Steve grins at you. You catch his eyes checking you out before landing back onto your face.
“Hi. Can I ask you something?” you ask.
“Yeah, sure,” he nods. His heart jolts as his mind races with all the possibilities of what you’re question could be. Worst scenario would be you wanting to never see him again. Best scenario would be anything but the worst.
“Would you like to come over for dinner with my family and I? My mom was asking after you took me back home Friday. You totally can say no. They’re just being annoying because they’ve never met you before.”
His face light up at once and he nods excitedly. “I’d love to have dinner with your parents. Yeah, a-absolutely.”
You stop rambling, staring at him. He looks so eager and excited now. He’s smiling to where almost all teeth are showing. His eyes are bright against the dim school hallway lights. He’s practically bouncing on the balls of his feet. His feelings are always so contagious. You can’t help but feel the same to a certain degree.
“Okay, cool. Does tomorrow work for you?” you suggest. “6 pm?”
“Yep. I’ll be there. Do I need to wear anything special? Like a suit?”
You giggle at his efforts. “No. What you wear normally is fine.”
“Okay,” he nods. “I gotta go,” he says as the warning bell for first period rings. “But I’ll see you at lunch.”
“Yep. Definitely,” you reply.
The next night, you’re running around your mom and changing clothes. You ended up hating your outfit you originally wore. You picked out a long-sleeve striped shirt with a jean overall dress. The moment you were going to walk down the stairs, your brain decided to turn on you and all your anxieties surfaced.
Now you’re in a dress that looks like you’re going to a business meeting. You groan in frustration, hands balling up. You want to hit your mirror, break your reflection so you can’t see yourself at all.
A knock on your door sounds. You rush to it, locking your door. “Yeah? Who is it?”
“It’s me, sweetie. Are you okay?” your dad asks.
“Yeah,” you sigh. “Just to let you know, Steve is here already,” he says.
“Great,” you click your tongue. “He’s kind of a dud. Did you know?” You can hear your dad’s smirk in his voice.
You scoff with a small smile. “Dad! Don’t be rude.”
“Just sayin’. Are you almost ready?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay. Don’t stress out to much. I can tell he really likes you.”
You smile at his assurance. You feel a tiny bit more relaxed. If your dad says that, it must be true, right?
“I’ll be down in a couple of minutes,” you say.
“Okay, sounds good. Make sure it is a couple minutes. Your brother is about to eat all the food.” You hear his footsteps lull behind your door.
You take off your dress, choosing your high-waisted acid-wash jeans and plain black turtle neck. You tuck the shirt into your pants, pulling up your sleeves so you can touch up your makeup and put on your accessories.
You curl your lashes again now that they’re dry. You re-swipe your lipstick that’s a dark-wine. You clasp a gold necklace on and stick in little hoops. You spray your perfume into the air, closing your eyes and walking into it. You slip on a pair of socks that happen to be neon pink, but you couldn’t care less. No one is going to obsess over your feet, right?
You take a deep breath as you open your door. You hear your mom laughing like a hyena, the embarrassment settling in. You walk down the stairs, turning the corner. It’s a weird sight. Steve stands at the dinner table next to your little brother, helping your mom set the silverware. He’s talking to your dad about some sci-fi stuff.
He actually doesn’t look out of place. In fact, he looks so normal, like it’s meant to be like this. The more you stare, the more natural it feels for him to be so close with your family, to be in your house.
“There’s the girl of the hour!” your mom grins.
Steve looks up from the table. At first, he peers up at you. Then he lifts his head up all the way, straightening his back. His eyes are wide, jaw slack just like the night you wore his clothing. You feel vulnerable again, but it’s not an uncomfortable feeling like it was then. You smile bashfully, clasping your hands behind your back.
“Here, I’ll finish up.” Your mom grabs the silverware from him, ushering him forward.
He walks up to you, eyes floating to every inch of you. “You look… great.” His voice is breathy and soft, like he’s just ran a mile.
Your eyes scan him. He looks so put-together tonight. He’s wearing a pair of khakis with a baby pink polo. His collar is perfectly folded, the bottom of his shirt tucked into his pants that are held up by a belt. His hair is combed over, a few fly-always resting on his forehead.
“So you do. Is that a new shirt?” you ask. “Yeah, it is,” he blushes. “I didn’t like what I had in my closest. I wanted to look my best for tonight.”
Your heart warms and your eyes soften. You awe silently. “That’s so nice, Steve.”
“Anything for you,” he says, his eyes boring into yours. “A-And your family, of course.”
You giggle softly, “right. Well, let’s go and eat. Are you hungry?”
He smirks a little, now looking you up and down suggestively. “Starving.”
You slap his chest, shooting him a glare while you try to suppress a smile.
You two walk into the kitchen, your mom stopping you.
“Let me take a picture of you two!”
You frown, “that’s unnecessary.”
“I think it’s a great idea,” Steve states. “I hate you,” you mutter.
“No, you love me,” he smirks.
You heart stops for a second. You stare at him, every word from your brain escaping you. His eyes are wide and he looks regretful. He obviously didn’t mean to say that.
You’re brought back to reality when your mom starts talking again. You feel like you have to say something.
“You wish.”
He forces a laugh, all the air exiting his lungs. He does wish, actually.
You both smile for your mom, having to try a little too hard to look happy now.
“You two are so cute. Steve, would you like a copy of these?” your mom asks.
“Uh, yeah. Definitely,” he replies.
You both walk to the table. You’re sitting across from each other, avoiding eye contact.
“So, Steve, do you have any siblings?” your dad questions.
“Nope, but I wish I did.”
You take a bite of your mashed potatoes, taking a drink of water after. You listen to your parents talk to Steve. It sounds like their on a game show. Asking him question after question, acting like there’s some sort of reward if he answers right. You wonder if you think the reward would be dating you. That’s probably what your dad thinks. Your mom would be happy no matter what if two started dating.
“So, how did you two meet?” your mom asks.
“At school.” you say it likes it’s the most obvious thing. “I want specifics, honey.” She looks to Steve for an answer.
“Well, we had mutual friends. You know Tina, right?” Steve asks.
“Yes. She’s a nice girl,” your mom nods. “Yeah, well, Tina invited Y/n to a party. I was invited by Tina’s friend’s boyfriend, Tommy. We both started talking and hit it off,” Steve explains.
You want to scoff and snort, but you keep your mouth silent. You try to have no reaction at all. Not one that will tell your parents that’s not exactly the truth.
You two did meet at a party. It was Tina’s party and Tommy did invite Steve. You two did start talking. You two danced, putting your hands all over each other. Steve had leaned down to whisper in your ear. He told you how beautiful you looked. That led you two to escape to Tina’s parents bedroom where you both had the best sex of your lives.
“Y/n, what’re you smiling about?” your dad asks.
You look up from your plate, eyes meeting Steve who has a knowing smirk on his face, then looking at your parents.
“Oh, nothing,” you answer.
You’re lucky your parents are so wrapped up in Steve, they leave it at that.
Steve’s foot brushes up your leg, slithering up your jeans. You swat it away, giving him a dirty look. He does this smirk where half of his mouth goes up. It makes all the girls go crazy. You included.
You scoot up in your seat, crossing your legs. Steve brows raise, like he’s challenging you. You stick you nose up, turning your face away and ignoring him.
The rest of the dinner couldn’t have gone better. Your parents are on a first-name basis with Steve. Before you walked Steve to his car, your mom asked him to come over again. You couldn’t have asked for a better result of Steve meeting your parents.
“You need to convince your mom to give me that roast beef recipe,” Steve says.
You chuckle, “I’ll see what I can do. I’m glad you had a good time.”
“I had a great time. Your parents are very welcoming. I was nervous, honestly,” he admits. You tilt your head to the side, your body following in suit. “Really, why?”
He shrugs, becoming shy. “It’s always nerve-racking meeting a girl’s parents.”
“Mmm, I bet. Especially when it’s the girl you exclusively have sex with,” you tease.
“Yep. Only in these situations I’m nervous.” He smiles a little, leaning against his car. He looks so hot in the street lights. They’re illuminating half of his face. His lips are pink and glistening with spit as he just licked them. His hands are stuffed in his jacket pockets. His pants are tight around his waist, shirt now untucked. You’re sure if he reached up, you would be able to see his happy trail.
The air between you two is tense. You feel hot without even touching him. His eyes burn a trial into your body as he traces it. You open your mouth, vapor coming out as your exhale. His eyes are trained on your lips now. You feel a gravitational pull towards him. This time, you don’t pull away.
You lean in, pressing your lips to his softly. You kiss him slowly, savoring how it feels. His fit yours perfectly. That’s part of why you love kissing him. The other part is how it makes you feel.
His hands find your waist and he pulls you closer. You kiss each other faster now. You’re panting into each other’s mouth, teeth clashing and tongues meeting. You find his car keys in his jacket, unlocking his car and swinging the door open. You push him into the backseat, climbing on top of him.
“What about your parents?” Steve asks. You look over your shoulder, seeing their bedroom light turned off. “They’re going to bed now. They don’t care.”
Steve smiles and nods. “Okay.”
You shut the door and Steve sits against the middle seat. He untucks your turtle neck, pulling it over your head. His eyes dance around your boobs, hands undoing your bra and cupping your tits. He begins to kiss your neck while pinching your nipples.
“You looked so pretty at dinner,” he whispers, his teeth nipping at your skin.
“Thank you,” you moan. You begin to roll your hips against his, your clit catching on his clothed boner. Your hands run through his hair, pulling at the nape of his neck.
“You look so pretty now,” he speaks again, sucking on the junction of your shoulder and neck. He licks a trail down to the valley of your breasts. You look down at him, your eyes boring into his. “So do you,” you speak.
You feel his neck get hot under your skin. He dives his head down and sucks on your boobs, pushing them together and fondling them. He groans against your skin as you grind against him.
You take off his shirt, your hands feeling over his chest. You begin to scoot off his lap, finding every mole on his skin and kissing them. You undo his belt buckle and pants. He helps you take them off, sliding them down until they pool at his ankles. You take off your own jeans, both of you laughing as you find it hard to take off your jeans in a car sitting the way you are.
You flip to the seat next to him, finally being able to slide them off. Before you can get back on his lap, he grabs your waist, placing his hand on your thigh. The pads of his fingers tease up your thigh. You begin to whine, needing him more and more.
“Steve, please,” you beg. “Please what, baby?” he breathes out.
You’re becoming to desperate. You grab his fingers, pushing your panties to the side. You place his first finger against your clit, sighing in relief. He captures your lips in a wet and hot kiss while he rubs your clit. He slips his finger down to your slit, wetting his finger before returning to your clit. With his other hand, he enters you.
“So wet,” he comments against your lips. “Wonder why,” you remark.
He smiles while kissing you. You grab onto his hair, squirming under him. “Fuck, Steve,” you pant. Your eyes roll to the back of your head with the combination of him rubbing your clit and his fingers hitting your g-spot. Before you know it, you’re about to come.
“Steve, Steve, Steve,” you rush out. Your thighs clamp against his hands.
He pulls his head away from your lips, wanting to watch you come. He’s mesmerized by the way your brows knit together. Your mouth stays open, drool coming out the corner. Your chest is heaving, breathy moans leaving your throat. His cock strains against his boxers as you come.
He slows his movements, eventually coming to a halt. You let out a satisfied sigh, giving him a smile.
“Was that good?” he asks. “Yes,” you nod. “I can think of something better, though.”
You take your underwear off, leaving you naked. Steve loves the sight. Your body has always been so beautiful to him. He loves every curve, every scar, your stretch marks, the softness of your thighs and stomach. He loves the way your body feels against his. He loves the way you take him so well. He loves the way you say his name. He loves your laugh. He loves the way you look at him, and the smile you have when you’re annoyed at him. He loves your banter. He loves how you try to be kind to everyone, even Carol. He loves how smart you and the way you think. He loves the way you make him feel: safe and warm and loved.
Before he can stop himself, he whispers. “I love you.”
You don’t know if you’ve heard him correctly. Your heart jolts at what he could’ve said. You give him a weird look. “What did you say?”
“Nothing, nothing. Are you ready?” he asks. He pushes his boxers down, his dick standing tall and hard.
You nod move on from your thoughts, grabbing a condom from the package he keeps in his glove box. He slips it on, making sure it’s secure before you start. You put your hands on his shoulders, biting your lip as you sink down on him.
“Feels so good, Y/n,” he grunts. You moan in reply, getting halfway before pulling off again. You move up and down halfway before finally bottoming out. His girth stretches you out perfectly. The tip of his dick brushes up against your g-spot. You begin to bounce, the friction causing Steve to sweat and grab at your ass.
“Shit, baby. Just like that, yeah. You’re doing so good, taking me so well,” he rambles.
You watch as his eyes screw shut, a crease forming between his brows. His top lip opens up to where you can see the sides of his gums and his pearly whites. His nails dig into the curve of your ass as your nails dig into his shoulder blades.
After a couple of minutes Steve is close. He looks down at you, loving to see your body on his. He always does this when he’s about to come. You don’t know why, but you only assume your body turns him on. And that’s part of it. But his secret is that it turns him on more than anything knowing it’s you he’s having sex with. Seeing you and touching you gets him going the most. Tonight is no exception.
You reach a hand down, beginning to rub your clit. He swears under his breath as he watches you touch himself, his dick twitching inside of you. Your head lolls back, your eyes rolling.
“Steve, I-I’m gonna. Ah, oh,” you pant. You squeeze around him, one last thought coming to head before you release. I love you.

A winter wedding was all you had ever dreamed of, right from being a little girl, and now that dream was becoming a reality with the man you loved more than life it’s self.
“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride” Charles wrapped his hands around your waist and pulled you in tightly, kissing you hard whilst the cheers of your friends and family filled the room.
“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride” Charles wrapped his hands around your waist and pulled you in tightly, kissing you hard whilst the cheers of your friends and family filled the room.
The rest of the day was amazing: a gorgeous meal, surrounded by the most beautifully decorated Christmas trees; speeches from all the people you loved the most; dancing and drinks and just the feeling of being surrounded by love and happiness, what more could you want from this?
As the night came to an end the band announced your final wish of the evening. “Thankyou all for attending the wedding of Mr and Mrs Leclerc, as the couples last request of the night please can all the guests leave the wedding hall whilst the couple have their last dance of the night.” The hall emptied of the few remaining guests, hugging and kissing you both as they left. You joined Charles on the now empty dance floor, he embraced you in his arms as your final song of the night started to play. You swayed in each others arms, savouring every last second of this moment. “Today has been the most perfect day of my life” you smiled up at him in the twinkle of the fairy lights, “the most perfect day of your life so far” he giggled back at you kissing you gently on the forehead.
As the song came to an end you thanked the band and the few remaining staff for a wonderful evening and headed up to the wedding suite. Charles stopped just as you got to the door, “come here” he smiled, scooping you up off your feet. “Charles” you gasped completely taken by surprise. “What it’s a wedding tradition” he giggled carrying you into the bedroom. The room had been decorated with rose petals and candles, during your absence, and a bottle of champagne stood on the table beside two little glasses dressed with a tiny strawberry on the side. “It looks like there’s still time for us to continue the celebrations” he grinned, wiggling his eyebrows at you. He popped the champagne and poured you both a glass as you collapsed onto the sofa beside you. He slithered in next to you pulling your legs on top of his and handing you a glass. “To being married to the most wonderful person in the world and a long and prosper future together” he said raising his glass to you, you clinked the glasses together. You both sipped the champagne in a harmonious silence, just enjoying the quiet time together as the start of your honeymoon.
“You know, we haven’t done EVERYTHING that we should do on the wedding day yet?” He said with a serious look on his face. “Oh god, please don’t tell me we forgot something” you said, a million thoughts racing through your head. “Don’t worry mi amore, it’s something we can do right now” he smirked, taking both the glasses and placing them on the table. He leant over the top of you, kissing you passionately, as you realised what he had in mind. You kissed back into him, your hands coming to rest at the nape of his neck. He guided you to your feet, spinning you around to face away from him, kissing down your neck as he slowly unzipped your dress. As the material dropped to the floor he spun you back to face him, taking a moment to admire your beauty. “I am the luckiest man in the world” he smiled before picking you up and wrapping your legs around his waist, kissing you some more as he went. He carried you to the bed, placing you down carefully as he went. As soon as there was the slightest gap between you two your hands went straight to the buckle on his belt. “Someone’s eager” he giggled, helping you to undo the belt and sliding his trousers off, he loosened his tie and popped the first couple of buttons on his shirt, slipping them both over his head with ease. Just before he tossed them to the floor he rescued the tie from the pile, “this is going to come in useful” he smirked, pushing your hands above your head and tying them to the headboard. He pressed soft delicate kisses all along your skin, starting at your lips, fluttering across your jaw and neck, trailing down your stomach. Running his fingers along the waistband of your underwear before sliding them off completely. He nipped at your skin with his teeth in between the delicate kisses before burying his head between your thighs, lapping at the wetness with his tongue, the tiny prickles of his stubble tickling at the sensitive skin. His tongue circling at your clit, you jerked underneath him, unable to grip into his hair as your hands were restricted away. He wrapped his arms around your thighs, pulling you closer to him and moving with an unrelenting pace. You could take it no longer as your hips bucked vigorously into him, “oh baby” he moaned into you as your rode out your high all over his face. Charles reached up and released your hands as he slid off his own underwear. You reached down to play with his throbbing member as he swatted your hands away. “Uh-huh, this is all for you darling” he said as he brushed it lightly against your swollen folds. You braced yourself as he lined himself up to you, no matter how many times you did this he always took you by surprise at first. You could feel every single muscle tense around him as he pushed gently inside of you, as you adjusted to his size he slowly started to thrust in and out of you, building up his speed and force as he went. Your nails dug deep into the skin on his back as you moaned loudly. “shh, there’s people in the next room” he giggled into your neck, still not giving up any pace. “if we get caught I am NOT taking the blame” you moaned into him. You could feel his body tensing against your own as he got close to his high. His thrusts faltered as he released the warm and sticky liquid inside of you, feeling him collapse against you pushed you over the edge once more.
You both laid entangled in each others limbs, safe with each other. “I love your Mrs Leclerc” he smiled down at you, pecking your lips gently. “I love you Mr Leclerc” you grinned back at him.

you scrolled through pinterest mindlessly.
as always, social media seemed to know exactly what you were thinking, feeding it all to you. as of right now, your feed was filled with hair dye inspiration.
pink, purple, blue, red, the colours were so lovely. you let yourself fantasize about them for a moment, imagining the colours in your hair. purple would look amazing, but green was such a pretty colour too.
the door opened, causing you to exit the app with practiced precision.
you felt a little guilty, considering it was only jack entering your room. you trusted him more than anything, but old habits die hard.
“hi,” he smiled at you, his hair wet from the shower. the towel hung low on his hips, leaving little to the imagination.
you had been laying on his bed, scrolling on your phone as you waited for him to finish his shower. the two of you were supposed to head to the beach later that day, and then out for a cute dinner date.
“hey handsome,” you threw a wink in his direction, grinning as he blushed a bit.
he rolled his eyes, rifling through his clothes for something to wear. you continued scrolling through tiktok, double-tapping occasionally, but mostly just flicking to the next video.
“oh shit!” you grunted as jack threw himself on top of you. “jack! holy crap, you’re so heavy! off, off, off!”
jack laughed, resting his head on your stomach as he refused to get off of you. “can we just stay here? this is so much nicer than the beach.”
“if you asked me this two years ago, i would say yes, no hesitation,” you told him. “but, you and your entire family has got me obsessed with the water, so unfortunately, it’s a no. now get up, hughes. we’ve got a beach to go to!”
-
your pinterest feed was still filled with inspiration to dye your hair.
you sighed wistfully as you saved images and scrolled through the pictures. you were so engrossed in the fantasy of dyeing your hair, you didn’t notice someone else entering the kitchen.
“that looks nice,” quinn commented as he walked past you to get some cereal. “you gonna get one of those colours?”
you jumped, shaking your head. “a little warning would be nice.”
“i’m sorry, i’ll be sure to announce myself the next time i enter a room in my own house,” quinn joked. “the purple one looks cool. it’d look nice in your hair.”
you examined a strand of your hair, looking back at the picture quinn was talking about.
“really? you’re not just saying that, are you?”
“no, seriously,” he assured you. “the red would look nice too. honestly, a lot of these would look amazing in your hair. you know, there’s a salon like fifteen minutes away. if you want, you can make an appointment and head over. mom’s been there a million times, so i know it’s a legit place.”
“i’ll think about it,” you told him, before switching the conversation.
less than an hour later, you found yourself texting quinn, asking for the number to the salon.
-
“you look so nervous right now,” quinn laughed as he parked the car.
“it’s not funny,” you told him, bouncing your leg. “i didn’t tell anyone. oh my god, i didn’t even tell jack, or ellen, or anyone. you know, maybe this isn’t a good idea. let’s just go back. yeah, i think i wanna read a book, or watch a movie, or maybe anything else.”
“woah, calm down,” quinn said, raising his hands. “it’s hair, it’s not a big deal. if you don’t like it, you can always dye it back. or choose a new colour.”
“what if jack doesn’t like it?” you mumbled. “or if everyone thinks i’m a weirdo. i don’t know, quinn. i don’t like this idea.”
“are you serious, y/n?” quinn looked at you. “give jack some credit, give the others some credit too. do you really think they’re gonna be upset with you over it? they all know it’s your hair, and whatever you do with it is your choice. no one’s gonna judge you, i promise.”
you took a deep breath, but you still couldn’t shake the unsettled feeling in your bones.
“i’m sorry, i’m not being fair to them,” you muttered.
you’d known the hughes family for years, and you knew that none of them would truly judge you for something as simple as dyeing your hair. but the way you had grown up made it hard for you to fully accept that someone could be so loving and accepting of everything.
“don’t apologize,” quinn told you. “let’s go to your appointment. we don’t want them to cancel it. they don’t give refunds.”
you laughed weakly, following quinn to the salon. after registering with the lady, you headed over to the area she motioned, taking a seat in one of the chairs. quinn shot you a thumbs up before taking a seat in the waiting area.
you were relieved that he wasn’t going anywhere.
“let’s get started,” your hairdresser, mindy, smiled at you.
a few hours later, you were driving home with quinn, staring at your new hair in the mirror. you’d gotten the bottom half of your hair dyed a dark red, similar to the narcissa malfoy hairstyle. it was a little subtle compared to the other colours you’d been looking at, but you didn’t want to go all out on your first time.
“i take it you like it,” quinn grinned as you twirled your hair.
“i love it,” you corrected. “it’s so pretty, i don’t know why i didn’t do this before.”
you faltered, remembering why you didn’t do it. the glares and scoldings you would’ve gotten were too much for you to even think about it before.
you took a deep breath, trying to force those memories and thoughts out of your head. you weren’t there anymore. you weren’t in contact with your parents for a very long time. and the hughes were completely different from them. they weren’t going to hate you for just dyeing your hair.
“it looks great,” quinn told you, shaking you out of your thoughts. “trust me, y/n, they’re all gonna love it.”
you smiled, “thanks, q. it means a lot.”
“anytime kid.”
the two of you entered the house, making your way to the living room, where anyone who was inside would be gathered.
not surprisingly, it was only ellen and jim watching a movie together. jack and luke were most likely already at the beach, trying to show off over the dumbest things they could think of.
“hey, you two back already? where’d you guys go?” ellen looked over, smiling.
“out and about,” quinn shrugged. “gotta show y/n around the city since she’s part of the family.”
you smiled a little, grateful that quinn hadn’t outed you before you were ready.
“did you have fun?” she asked. “please tell me that someone picked up my strawberries from the farmer’s market.”
“i got them,” you laughed a little. “i put them in the fridge because it’s hot outside.”
“thanks, y/n. you’re my compensation for raising three boys,” she grinned.
you laughed at quinn’s sulky expression, shaking your head to yourself.
“did you do something to your hair?” jim asked, narrowing his eyes as he scanned it.
you froze up a little, trying not to think of your dad.
“yeah, i - um - i liked the colour,” you answered, a little quietly.
“it looks nice,” he smiled at you. “oh, and it even matches your outfit.”
you looked down at your red t-shirt, feeling yourself smile a little. it did match your outfit.
“oh my god, that looks so pretty on you,” ellen gushed. “you look amazing, honey. honestly, i’m surprised jim noticed before me. i would not put money on that.”
jim made an offended noise, “hey, i’m very attentive.”
“mhm,” ellen muttered.
you and quinn shared an amused look, the four of you bursting into laughter.
the front door opened, immediately letting in the loud noises of jack and luke. you weren’t sure what they were saying, but they were probably arguing over something stupid.
“she wouldn’t!” luke said to jack, turning on his mom the second they entered the living room.
“yes she would!” jack argued. he looked at ellen, “mom, wouldn’t you get mad at luke for eating five ice creams in a day?”
ellen raised a brow, but nodded, “he’s smart enough not to do that. aren’t you, luke?”
“obviously, i’m not an idiot,” he rolled his eyes. “but i’m an adult! i think if i want to eat five ice creams, i should be allowed to.”
“not at all,” ellen shook her head.
luke turned to you pleadingly, “y/n, back me up on this. if i wanted to - not saying i did - i should be allowed to eat five ice cream in a day, right? i’m an adult, mom can’t get mad at me for that.”
you raised your hands in defense, “i’d back you up if it was anyone else. not going against mama hughes. sorry, kid.”
luke groaned in a very youngest sibling-like manner, before slumping onto the floor. there was a beat of silence, before everyone broke out into laughter, including luke.
you and the boys gathered around ellen and jim, talking about anything and everything, the movie still playing in the background.
you leaned against jack, who’d been oddly quiet since winning his ‘argument’ with luke. you looked up at him, only to see him already looking at you.
“hi,” you whispered, narrowing your eyes.
“hey,” jack responded, though he sounded a little distracted.
“why’re you looking at me like that?” you asked, tilting your head in his direction.
he shook his head, his hand coming up to play with a strand of your hair. you froze up for half a second, forgetting that you had dyed it. you gauged jack’s reaction, but it was hard to tell what he was thinking.
his finger twirled around a dyed strand, a thoughtful expression on his face as he played with it idly.
“you don’t like it?” you cringed.
“huh? no, y/n, i like it,” he assured you, blinking back to reality. “trust me, i really like it. you look hot. well, you always do. you look more hot. it suits you.”
you smiled a little, the relief you felt practically overwhelming you. you didn’t say anything, only curled a little closer to jack. he understood perfectly, kissing the top of your head as he wrapped his arms around you.
your eyes met quinn’s, who was wiggling his eyebrows and motioning towards jack.
you rolled your eyes, even though there was a fond smile on your face. ‘thank you,’ you mouthed.
quinn nodded, because there was nothing else to be said. you were family. he’d do anything for family.

The walls of the counsellor’s office are painted blue and green- quite contrary to what you had thought would be clinically white and even more depressing. There’s no sign of Seungcheol though, as you sit in the small waiting space outside the office, reading a magazine off the coffee table, your legs shaking nervously.
The man you’re waiting for storms in through the door, his shirt unbuttoned at the top, and his slightly longer hair all fluffy and messy. “Sorry I’m late,” he says to no one, especially not you since he’s averted his glance from you as soon as he entered, and there’s no one else in the space. “Dr. Lee is waiting for us.” You speak softly, trying to level your tone. He takes a minute to brace himself before looking at you, fixing his hair, fixing his crumpled shirt, and breathing in.
In the past sixteen hours, you’ve thought about this moment a million times at least. It’s been a long time coming, and you know Seungcheol knows it as well as you. Wonwoo has spoken to the two of you multiple times, and yet- things never seem to improve.
It’s not like you purposely piss him off, well, most of the time. He is a dickhead, but it’s not like you have a lot of free time just to educate him on being a better human in the world. It’s mostly a slip here and there, and the spark blasts.
It started on a rainy day, in the middle of August. You really didn’t like the rain, to make it worse you’d got your period that morning. You wanted to go home as soon as possible, but all public transport had suddenly disappeared, leaving you stranded in the monsoon on a busy street where no one cared about you, no matter how desperately you called for a taxi. It was just not your day-
But all that had a hope of reversing when you noticed a familiar smile and a wave through a car window, which was right next to you now. “Seungcheol-ssi?” you asked. “Can I give you a ride, Prof Y/L/N?” You started refusing him, hands moving animatedly, but then he gave you a look- oh- and you couldn’t refuse him anymore. “Please. You’ve been standing here for the past twenty minutes,” he said, as you shuffled into his car, trying to not wet the seats but in vain. “You’ve been watching me?” “Uh-” he was nervous now, “no I was just…” “Hey, I really appreciate your offer. I was really having a difficult time. Thank you so much, Seungcheol-ssi.” Three months into his new job, and you both had developed a good relationship, being of nearly the same age. The three other professors in your department were all above fifty, two even due to retire that year, leaving you two as the youngest of the department, and it was a good partnership. You enjoyed talking about the subjects that you had chosen as the first loves of your lives over a cup of coffee, sometimes you would smile at him for a second too long when he would speak of his pet dog Kkuma, sometimes he would return the smile when you spoke fondly about your favourite students.
The car ride was also just as smooth as the rest of Choi Seungcheol. As much as he was an eye candy, you had decided you were certainly not interested in him, having noticed how well he got along with every female (and most male) faculty members of the university, and his smiles were just not reserved for you. Within weeks, he had students fawning over him, and soon he was becoming the most popular professor in the university, not just among students but also among your colleagues. While you had no fancies for these titles, it felt a little weird losing the good rapport you had worked hard in building, being the only female professor in the department. Or maybe it was just you being too competitive.
Anyhow, when Seungcheol played the music of your favourite idol group, you couldn’t complain. The depressive mood from the rains had already mellowed out. You raised your eyebrows at him in query, he replied, “What? I’ve seen their photocard behind your phone.” He smiled again, and you smiled back. So attentive.
Just then, there was a crazy sound from his car. Alarmed, he instantly got out of the car to check- soon there was smoke coming up from the front of the car. You felt guilty sitting in the dry shade of the rain while he lifted the front hood of the car, drenched in the rain, trying to figure out the issue, so you stepped out. “I’m sorry- I really-” “No, hey, why are you apologising to me?” “I don’t know what’s wrong. I think I’ll have to call a mechanic.” You looked around, it was a shockingly deserted area, maybe the rain had washed away all people into their homes. As evening began to descend, your cramps got worse, not improving as the wetness of the rain began settling into your bones.
“Should we wait inside the car? I’ve called for the mechanic, but they’ll definitely take some time.”
“Sure. I mean, we don’t have an option, do we?” You chuckled, trying to reduce the tension. “I’m sorry I got you stuck in this.” “Nah, it’s okay.” “You can try looking for a cab-” “Do you see a cab out there, Choi Seungcheol?” you snapped out a bit too harshly, recoiling instantly. He was taken aback too, wincing. “Sorry, I just…” Then he grew quiet, and so did you.
Seconds became minutes.
Minutes to hours.
Precisely, two and a quarter hours, before the mechanic arrived.
Your water bottle was empty, your lunch long finished, the cramps growing worse in the confined space and the anxiety, and Seungcheol wasn’t a close friend who you could become casual around. So you kept your legs down, your heels on, even if your ankles hurt. You kept your hair tied, even if the hair tie began to hurt your scalp, because your hair was too unruly to let down. You couldn’t even take off your jacket, because your body was too cold to let go of even one piece of clothing.
This was really not your day.
There was no conversation, mainly because you were afraid of snapping again. He stepped out to help the mechanic, and you closed your eyes tight in the car, trying to hold back the pain. Wordlessly, the mechanic left after the issue was fixed, the rain still pouring relentlessly, and Seungcheol came back into the car.
Thankfully, this time when he tried to start the car, it roared to life. After travelling slowly for fifteen minutes, Seungcheol spoke up, “It’s almost seven- do you want to get some ramyeon before heading home?” You weren’t even looking at him, but you could sense the expectation in his voice. “My treat, to make up for the-”
“I want to go home, Seungcheol.” Your voice was bitterer than you had thought. Seungcheol extended his hand to your arm, and you flinched. “Can you please drive me to my neighbourhood? I don’t want to stay here a minute more.” He took back his hand in a second, and amped up the speed of the car. In less than twenty minutes you were in the front of your home, the address you had input into the Google Maps of the car dashboard earlier.
Without a word, you stepped out of the car, into the rain that had fizzled down to a drizzle now. Seungcheol was looking at you, and you had no way to avoid his eyes now. “I’m sorry for making your day so bad. Really, if I could make it-” “Bye, Choi Seungcheol-ssi. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
And you had turned your back on the man who had drove you home that evening, the hopeful glint in his eyes burning in your head but other feelings like exhaustion, pain and desperation overwhelming you.
-
“Has anger always been an issue for you?”
Ouch, that was harsh. You had thought counsellors were soft with their words- but then, you’d never been to one’s office before. Seungcheol seemed calmer than before now, honestly that irked you more. Was he actually okay with sitting here? Being reprimanded for how you couldn’t help but behave around each other, at the age of thirty-three?
“I don’t know… I guess I’ve always had a slightly sharp tongue. Quick to lose my temper.”
Seungcheol sighed next to you. You can feel his eyes poring into your face, but you can’t bring yourself to look at him.
“And you, Prof. Choi?”
“I don’t think so. I think Prof. Y/L/N brings out the worst in me.”
Now you’re looking straight at him, and you know he’s facing you while saying the words. “Excuse me?”
“Prof. Y/L/N-”
“I’ve never faced issues with my temper before, you know. Yes, some may call me an alpha but-”
A laugh escaped from your lips before you could help it.
“Prof. Y/L/N, please refrain from scoffing here. Remember the common goal.” Dr. Lee reminded you.
“I can’t help it, Dr. Lee. It’s blatantly obnoxious for Prof. Choi to think of himself as an alpha. Why, the man’s scared of ghosts! As if ghosts even exist.”
“Prof. Y/L/N-”
“Might I inform you, Dr. Lee, than Prof. Y/L/N has a phobia of thunderstorms. She can’t stand seeing lightning, absoltely shivers like-”
“Professors!”
Again the dreadful feeling of being reprimanded.
“Laughing at each other’s phobias are petty and not acceptable. This is a safe space. We are all respectful of each other’s fears, irrespective of how they appear to us. We have a common goal of resolution, please be mindful.” Your eyes were cast downward, fingers fiddling with the hem of your dress. “I’m sorry, Dr. Lee.”
There was a sharp intake of air from Choi Seungcheol.
“But I don’t think this can ever reach resolution,” you complete, nearly standing up from your chair. Seungcheol openly scoffs at you now, laughing at your surrender. Exactly what he was pushing you for.
“There, there! No need to rush, Professor. How about, we move on to the first activity I’ve planned for you both?”
You pause, sitting back in your chair.
“Activity?” Seungcheol asks, running fingers through his hair.
“Yes! It’s part of my toolkit for couples’ therapy-”
“This isn’t couple’s therapy,” you both chime together. It’s getting annoying how often people think of you as a couple.
Dr. Lee only chuckles, as if they had laid the bait out for you to hold on to, and you both had caught on to it like fishes. You gasp, realising this session may be more complicated than you thought.
“Of course! Now, have either of you done colouring before? Ever heard of art therapy?”
Seungcheol shakes his head, while you nod. “I colour on my phone sometimes- numbered colouring. Stress relieving, it is for me.” Dr. Lee smiles. “Yes! Except, we’ll not be doing numbered colouring.” They pull out a sheet of paper from underneath their desk, and lay it right in front of you both.
It’s a beautiful picture of a scene from nature- trees, foliage, flowers, even a river through the grass. But in black and white outline, and more spaces marked in between indicating where to fill in colours.
Then Dr. Lee brings out a pack of colour pencils, and keeps it beside the sheet of paper.
“Can I trust you both to fill this in?”
Seungcheol’s jaw actually drops. You don’t think you’ve ever seen him more surprised.
“You want us to fill this with colours? Colour pencils?”
“Yes! It’s really quite simple, and really would be great for healing you through all the stress of work during the day.” Dr. Lee’s smile is genial, but you don’t feel it catching on to you. The thought of colouring this- with Seungcheol- does nothing but add up to your stress.
“Alright.” Seungcheol is doing it again- pushing you to surrender. He even picks up the sheet and colour pencils and stands up, looking at you expectantly.
But you’re not going to give up so easily.
It’s a matter of your pride after all.
“We’ll bring this to you, all complete and pretty, at our next session!” You’re staring into Seungcheol’s soul, seeing the panic flash momentarily before he dons his standard pretty smile, gums threatening to show.
“Yes, Dr. Lee!” And for a second, you wonder if this was how he used to suck up to his teachers in school, all cute and excited- but, you forget the thought quickly, as Dr. Lee stands up, a very knowing smile in their eyes, waiting to bid you goodbye. As you both shuffle out of the room, you face Seungcheol outside the office. “Our next session is day after tomorrow. What were you thinking when you promised to complete this, like a little good girl, so eager to please?” he snaps, standing inches away from you.
“Seungcheol, spare me your nonsense. I’ll take it home today and complete the top half, and you can take it home tomorrow and complete the bottom half.”
“Impossible. I have at least two dozens of projects to go through. I’ll not be coming to work tomorrow. No time for this” he points at the sheet in his hand.
“Then I’ll just come over tomorrow evening, after your project corrections are done. We can complete it together. Makes the process quicker.” You know you’re stepping into extremely risky territory, but hell, even you didn’t want to go home and colour on a lovely day like this. Wine and jazz sounded much better.
He seems to ponder over the offer for a second. Then he takes out his right hand from his pocket, and holds it out to you. “Deal,” he says, and you almost scoff at his childish behaviour. Then you shake your right hand with his, and take a step back.
“See you tomorrow, then.”
“Yeah, my place, at 8?”
“Hmm.”
“I’ll text you the address-”
“I have it already, Prof. Choi.” you say quietly, before turning your back on him and walking away slowly, ignoring his eyes on your back.

I know I said it would be awhile but then this happened...
A Very Quiet Life: Chapter 7
A/N: I originally was going to end the series in chapter 7, but then I decided to let it go on for a while longer and add some stuff. I hope you guys enjoy me dragging it out 😂
Warnings: this one is pretty fluffy with a touch of angst, reader is still a widow and there's mentions of her husband, also illness (vomiting), and mentions of sex, but that's about it.

You can no longer imagine a life for yourself without him.
******
As badly as you both want him to stay, Elvis has to go home to be there when his wife comes home from her night out. He kisses you about a million times before he finally opens the door to leave. Before he walks all the way out, he steps back inside and grabs you one last time. When he pulls back out of the kiss he holds your face in his hands.
"I love you." Your heart stops, but in the best way possible. You never thought you'd feel like this again. And if you're being honest, this is deeper than anything you've ever felt before, even with Rick, who had been your high school sweetheart. "I couldn't leave here without saying it. You don't have to--"
"I love you too." He smiles and kisses you one last time and then disappears through the door.
Luckily, it's the middle of the night, so Mrs. Walter is asleep. Otherwise, she'd see Elvis punch the air as he walks back to his house. He's happier than he's ever been in his life.
When he gets home, he changes into pajamas and gets straight into bed. He's still buzzing with excitement, but he tries to calm down to an appropriate level for when Beth gets there. Just then, he hears her key in the door. Or rather, he hears her cuss and drop her keys as she tries to unlock the door. She must be drunk. He gets out of bed annoyed and goes to open the door for her. When he does, she stands up laughing and throws her arms around his neck.
"My knight in shining armor." He peels her off of himself and helps her into the house. She's drunker than he's seen her in a long time. He gets her to the bedroom clumsily before she turns and looks at him. Then, she leans in and kisses him full on the mouth. He's not sure what to do, so he keeps his eyes open and his lips closed. When she finally pulls back from him she pouts.
"Beth, what are you doing?"
"Why won't you make love to me anymore?" She slurs.
"What?" She plops herself down on the bed and attempts to take her shoes off.
"Why don't you ever try to make love to me? You used to at least try." She pouts at him again. He bends down to take off her shoes. While he's on his knees in front of her, she puts her thighs on his shoulders.
"Please..." He pulls out from under her and stands up.
"Beth. You're drunk. We're not doing this." She leans forward and attempts to untie his pajama pants. Thankfully, she's too drunk to figure out that she just needs to pull them down. He puts her hands back in her lap and goes to her dresser to get some pajamas for her. She tries to unbutton her blouse, but she can't seem to make her fingers work. Elvis undresses her carefully and puts her pjs on. He has the briefest moment of regret as he lays her down in the bed and tucks her in. Does she really deserve to be abandoned like he's planning?
He looks at her laying there and remembers the girl he fell in love with all those years ago. Then, he thinks of you and the love he feels for you now. There's really no comparison. Even though he doesn't want to hurt her, he knows he'll have to eventually. But not tonight. He climbs into the bed and lays as close to the edge as he can while Beth snores quietly on her side.
******
On Tuesday, Elvis knocks on your door a little before lunch time. You were beginning to wonder if he was coming over. When you open the door for him, a smile spreads across his face, replacing the worried look that had been there.
"Hey, baby." He wraps his arms around you as soon as the door is closed behind him. You notice he didn't mess with the toolbox this time. He holds you tightly and buries his face in your hair.
"Are you okay?" You ask, pulling back from him and looking into his eyes.
"Beth. She just..." He takes both of your hands in his and kisses your fingers. "She tried to have sex with me on Saturday." You pull your hands away and step back.
"Did you...?"
"No! She was drunk as a skunk. And I wouldn't have even if she wasn't." You look up into his eyes and try to figure out if he's telling the truth.
"Don't you trust me?" You put your hand on your forehead. Of course you do. Why are you acting like this?
"I do. I'm sorry." You're just so scared to lose him. And this whole situation is so stressful. Your stomach turns over sickeningly. "I need to sit down."
He walks you to the couch and sits down with you.
"I'm sorry. I guess it's just... the thought of you two... I-I-I'm going to be sick!" He gets the little trash can that you keep next to the couch in front of you just in time. What the hell is happening?!
He rubs on your back and then brings you a wet towel from the kitchen. As he hands it to you, he notices how pale you are and puts his hand on your forehead.
"Babe, you're burning up. We need to get you to bed." He scoops you into his arms again and carries you to your room. He lays you gently on the bed and then brings you another trash can. You know you should be humiliated, but you're too sick to care. You're just glad he's there to take care of you. And he does, for the rest of the day. He even goes to the store for crackers and soda. When he's not at the store, he rubs your back and holds your hair while you puke and brings you a fresh trash can when you need one.
At about 2:30, your phone rings. You answer it weakly and the school nurse informs you that both of your kids are sick as well. You turn to him pleadingly and he takes the phone and explains that he will be there to pick them up shortly. They don't even ask who he is; they just assume he must be a relative.
When he gets home with the kids, he sets them both up in bed with you with their own trash cans. He's a regular little nurse, bringing you all water and crackers and soda and clean trash cans. The kids finally pass out around 7 and you seem to have reached the end of your stomach contents. Elvis is in the middle of the bed next to you, stroking your hair, with Jane leaned up against his other side and Michael curled up at his feet. You open your eyes and sit up a bit.
"Beth...?"
"She left this morning. I'm not going anywhere."
"Good. Thank you." You snuggle into his shoulder and try to get some sleep.
At one point you wake up to the sound of Jane throwing up. You sit up frantically and find Elvis holding her hair and singing quietly to her. You take the trash can to the kitchen and put a new bag in it. When you bring it back, she's leaned up against him again as he continues to sing. His voice is deep and smooth and soothing. You stand in the doorway for a bit and take in the scene.
Rick was never good with vomit. And the kids were so little when he died that he really never experienced anything like this. Michael was just a baby and Jane was only 3. Do they miss him?
For so long it felt like you might die from the pain of missing him. Then it was hard to breathe, but you knew you would survive. Now, you're just glad to have the memories and ready for the future. You hope Rick might even be happy that you found someone who is so good to you and his children. A single tear slides down your cheek as Elvis looks up and sees you in the doorway.
"I think she's asleep." You wipe your cheek and crawl back into the bed.
"Yeah, she is." You snuggle up next to him and put your arms around him. "Hey." He looks down at you.
"Yes?"
"I love you." He kisses your forehead.
"I love you too, honey." You fall asleep in each other's arms, with both kids tucked in around you on the bed.
******
The sunlight is streaming in through the bedroom window and you feel movement by your feet. When you wake up, you realize that all four of you are still in the bed together. You go to shake Elvis awake, but it's too late. Both kids are up.
"Mama, Mr. Presley stayed with us all night!" Jane points to him and whispers excitedly. He hears his name and stirs. When he realizes where he is, he looks at you questioningly. Before he can say anything, though, Michael jumps on his lap.
"Do you live here now?" Elvis looks at you again. This is bad.
"No, buddy, I just stayed to help your mom since you were all sick. I guess everyone is feeling better?" You're weak from the lack of food, but the sickness seems to have passed. The kids have bounced back like only kids can do.
"Yeah, I think we're okay. Thank you, Elvis. That was very kind of you to stay and help us, but I think you can go now."
"Awww, does he have to?" Michael looks at you pleadingly while Jane continues to look back and forth between you. She knows Elvis is married.
"Yes, Michael, I'm sorry, but I have work to do today." He ruffles Michael's hair and slides out of the bed. He slept in his clothes, but he sits on the side of the bed to put his shoes on. You get up too and walk him to the door.
"I probably shouldn't kiss you, huh?" He asks once the kids are finally out of earshot. You laugh.
"No, probably not. For several reasons." He chuckles.
"Can I hug you at least?" You glance back to the kids and see that they're busy arguing over what to eat for breakfast, so you nod. He wraps his arms around you and whispers in your ear.
"I love you, baby." You whisper back that you love him too and he leaves, pulling the door closed behind him. He tries to walk casually back to his house like it's totally normal for him to be at your house when the sun comes up.
Inside the house, you go to the kitchen to help the kids find breakfast. Once you get them both set up with toast, you walk into the living room and sit down on the couch. You need to eat too. You feel lightheaded from everything that's happened.
"Mama, doesn't Mr. Presley have a wife?" Shit.
"Yes, Jane." She sits next to you on the couch.
"But then how is he your boyfriend?" How does she even know what that means?
"He's not, sweetie. He just came to help."
"But you love him, don't you?" Oh, geez. How do you answer that?
"Jane, I..."
"He makes you happy. You haven't been happy since Daddy died. But you're happy now."
"Jane, baby, this is a grown up problem. Please don't worry about it. And, um, let's not tell anyone about Mr. Presley staying the night..." She nods slowly.
"Yes, Mama. I just think it's nice that you're happy again." She gets up and goes back to the table to finish her toast. You put your head in your hands and try to hide the tears that are streaming down your face silently.
Mrs. Walter is in her front window with a cup of coffee. She sighs to herself. She was right.

Tumblr media
Austin is a good boy, a good man, a good puppy. He's polite to a fault, hardworking and one of the kindest souls you have every had the pleasure of knowing. Austin is gorgeous but seems to enjoy pretending he isn't, he seems to enjoy pretending that if acting doesn't pan out he could model. It'd be annoying on anyone but Austin.
But Austin is also one of the more anxious people you've met. He stays too much in his own head and can't always get himself out of it. You realize this when he's so nervous for an interview that he's shaking and no matter what trick or technique he tried he couldn't calm himself. The only thing that had worked was your hands on his shoulders telling he'd be okay over and over until you had heard him say "I heard you, mama" softly. The phrase sends such a shock to your system that you drop your hands so quickly you'd have thought Austin's skin was on fire. Austin's eyes widen and he opens his mouth to say something- anything- to explain himself before he's dragged to the proper backstage. You weren't his mama, you had done something like that other people, but to Austin? No, that hadn't crossed your mind. You weren't sure if you could do it. You stay in the dressing room until Austin comes back in. His lower lip is essentially completely in his mouth has he gnaws on it. You frown realizing just how far he's back in his head looking at you.
"Tell mama what's wrong, baby boy." You whisper as you stand up and take his hands in your own.
The relief on his face at your words and the way he sags against your body tell you that you made the right choice with your words that night. You learned just how much he needed a mama like you, someone to help him, someone to be there for him when others wouldn't be or wouldn't do. It made you wonder why you ever thought you couldn't do this with him. As he said that night and so many other nights in your lap.
"I think you might have been made just for me. Just to be my mama and to live your own life."
He only ever has said it in your lap, you never press about it otherwise.
Oscar season was going to be rough no matter what, you both knew this. It's why you had made sure that your schedule- as packed as it normally was at the beginning of the year was clear. It was an adjustment, telling your job that yes, you needed this time blocked off and if anyone needed your help you'd be available to talk but not for extensive amounts of time. You didn't usually attach conditions to your relationship with Austin, either as his mama or as his girlfriend but you had asked him to after award season was done to respect the fact that you were going to basically be living at the office. He had agreed with a bit of a pouty lip, but he was an adult, he could handle it.
It's the night of the ceremony and you specifically had told Austin that while it was the most important night of his life, he also needed to be in the moment enough to enjoy it. The two of you had come up with the idea of the vibrating cockring. By now- months from that interview you had learned that controlling when Austin could orgasm- controlling how hard his cock could be- was the best way to ensure he stayed focused and in the moment with you. You know you're not famous enough to be next to him in the cast pictures, you're not famous at all really but you still try and stay close, the remote for his cock ring in the pocket of your dress. It's in one of the photos on the red carpet that you see his hand shaking behind Priscilla's back and you turn up the vibration setting one level.
You can hear his intake of breath from a distance and you see his hand has stopped shaking before you realize that he's walking over to you with eyes that have had their pupils overtake most of the iris. His hand moves to grab your arm in an attempt to pull you close enough for him to whisper in your ear.
"Mama, I can't- you can't do that when I'm by Priscilla, she thought something was wrong." He practically hisses. There's no malice in his tone just worry that he exposed himself.
You smile for the cameras that are taking both of your pictures before leaning in to his ear and turning the vibration up one more level. "I'm your mama, baby boy, I can do it when I want. You were shaking. You needed it."
He opens his mouth to deny it before you raise your eyebrows and tilt your head just so, a sign that he knows means you will accept no arguments from him. Instead he shuts his mouth and moves to kiss you, something he knows the camera will enjoy. Austin Butler, man of the hour, the one who's likely to be the only one to take on Brendan Fraser for the best actor prize, kissing his lawyer girlfriend. He grabs your face as he's done a million times, both hands cupping your cheeks and you for once mirror him in front of the cameras, your own hands moving to cup his cheeks. He nuzzles into them and you can't help the soft smile that crosses your lips as you kiss him when you feel it.
"Color, baby boy?" You ask as you pull away.
"Green." A beat, and a murmur. "Need you though, mama. Need to taste your pussy when we go in. Please?"
You chuckle softly as you pull away. "Be good and we'll see."
Being good was a challenge, it shouldn't have been but you decided to up the ante to make sure Austin didn't start to panic about what was going to be happening tonight. What might not happen tonight. By the time you and him are at the end of the red carpet Austin's practically vibrating as if the cockring is making his whole body vibrate with it. His arm is around you and his mouth is by your ear the second you're away from the constant flashes of cameras.
"Please mama, please, I've been good. You're being mean but I'm such a good boy. Such a great boy for you." The words come out in what sounds like Elvis's southern drawl, half slurred and you find that it does something for you. Enough of something that you find yourself dragging him to the nearest room with a lock and forcing him in there. The second the door is locked you're bunching up your dress. The joys of buying your own and wearing it, you didn't have to worry about a designer getting mad you wrecked it.
"On your knees, Austin." You say as you shimmy out of your underwear.
He doesn't even hesitate his knees hitting the floor with a thump that has you wincing before you feel his tongue against your slit, causing a surprised "oh" to leave your mouth. He blows a puff of cold air against the warm line he had just left before humming and diving in. He eats you out like a man starved, his tongue flicking at your clit before dipping into your cunt a pale imitation of his dick or his fingers but the sensation of something slipping in and out of your cunt as quick as his tongue does has you gripping at the table behind you. He pulls away when he realizes your hands aren't in his hair.
"Hair, mama."
Two words before he's back against your core, focusing his attention on sucking at your clit, his faint 5 o'clock shadow scraping at cunt and the insides of your thighs. You let your hands move down to his hair, pulling it and earning a groan as well as a shiver from him. You know you have to be quiet, you two can't get caught, not tonight of all nights so you bite your lips even as you feel Austin's fingers join his tongue, curling just so to have your hips bucking against his face his nose putting pressure on your clit. You two are going to get caught but maybe it's worth it. Maybe it's worth it to make your baby boy happy, to give him the reward he deserved for being so good on the red carpet. To give him an incentive to be good throughout the ceremony.
"Such a good boy for your mama, Austin. The best boy a mama can ask for, god, baby, right there, fuck-" You whimper your thighs clenching around his head as you feel yourself right on the edge of coming. Austin smiles against you and nips at your clit and you clench even tighter as your toes curl and you lean back, your head hitting the wall behind you and your back arching before you come back down in a flash. Austin doesn't stop licking, almost as if he's trying to clean up the mess he made of you before he pulls back, his mouth covered in your juices.
"Best boy?" His eyes are a little lidded, but not enough that you're concerned for his well being. This is what he needed, this should settle him enough for most of the ceremony.
Your hand moves to the lapel of his jacket and you use the grip to pull him up to a standing position as best as you can. "The absolute best boy. A boy who's earned not having the cock ring on. Because mama knows her best boy can hold off on coming without it. Can't he?"
He nods slowly as he watches your hand sneak into his pants and with an ease he marvels at, manage to get the ring off without too much trouble. He sees your underwear on the floor and grabs them as you put the cock ring in your clutch. You eye the underwear until he says something.
"Can I keep them for a good luck charm tonight?" He asks, his face contorting into what you'd like to say is the best impression of a puppy dog that you've ever seen before. It makes your heart hurt and feel so full of love that you can't help but kiss Austin before you answer, tasting yourself on his lips.
"You can. Going to keep being a good boy tonight?" It's a question you don't need to ask but you figure checking in won't hurt as you straighten out your dress.
"With your panties in my pocket? Why wouldn't I be, mama?" He looks in the mirror and fixes his hair before turning to you. "Back out to that?"
"Back out to that, baby boy." You nod, taking his hand and squeezing it. "You're gonna win. Trust me when Mama says that."
He does and when he's thanking his mama in his speech everyone thinks he's just talking about Lori. And you know he is, but you also know his eyes don't ever leave yours when he says I couldn't have done this without my mama and you know it wasn't just her he was talking about. He might be the best boy in all of world to you, but to him, you might just be the best mama in all of the world.

Teenage Dream | Lee Donghyuck (Haechan)
Summary: Your best friend Haechan refuses to tell you the name of his crush. What’s the big secret?
Genre: Friends to lovers AU
Word Count: 0.7k
Gif: @haechantaeil
Tumblr media
“What are you doing lying out here?”
Haechan was lying on the concrete of the school playground, staring longingly up at the sky. The brown skin of his stomach peeked out from his untucked shirt. Your heart raced at the sight.
Haechan turned his head towards you, gazing up at you with deep brown eyes shining hazel in the warm afternoon sun. He let out a dramatic sigh.
“I have a disease… called love,” he said, wiping his brow melodramatically. “And I’m so lovesick that I simply can’t get up off the floor.”
You gulped. “Who are you in love with?” Could it be…? You didn’t dare let yourself dream. Haechan had been your best friend for four years, if something was going to happen between you, it would have already happened.
Haechan patted the concrete beside him. “Sit. I’ll tell you all about her.”
You sat down cross-legged on the floor beside him.
“Well…” Haechan began. “She’s clever and kind.”
You nodded. That could be just about anyone.
“She’s pretty too… she’s got this short haircut which she thinks makes her look badass, but I think it makes her look cute.”
You touched the ends of your spiky short hair, heart pounding.
Haechan went on. “And I love how passionate she gets about astronomy. I mean… that girl can talk about comets non stop.”
Your breath caught in your throat. You were the founder and the sole member of the Clayton High School astronomy club. He had to be talking about you… right?
“Haechan, I think I know what you’re trying to say.” You touched his arm lightly.
Haechan smirked devilishly. “You got me. It’s your big sister, Mindy. Think ya could put in a good word for me?”
Your jaw dropped open.
Of course. That’s the reason why Haechan became your friend, why he’d always come over after school when Mindy was around. It wasn’t you he wanted, it was your super cool, captain of the swim team, physics major sister. You wished the pavement would swallow you whole.
You bit your lip and pushed yourself up to standing. “Y-yeah, sure, whatever. See you around.”
Before Haechan could say anything, you stormed off across the playground, hiding your flaming cheeks with your hands. You couldn’t bear the humiliation.
“Wait!”
You stopped in your tracks.
You turned around to see Haechan running after you. He stopped in front of you, gripping his side, panting heavily. “Has anyone told you that you walk freakishly fast? God, woman, I’m dying here!”
You crossed your arms. “What do you want, Lee Haechan?”
Haechan smiled bashfully. “I’m sorry, that was not how I wanted things to go.” He bit his pink lip. “When I’m around you, I just- get so flustered, nothing comes out right.” Wearing a heart-breaking smile, he met your eye. “It’s you who I like, Y/n, not your sister. You.”
You sniffed. “Really? I don’t believe you.”
No one ever liked you. You were kind of pretty, if you squinted - but next to your sister’s angelic beauty, you might as well be invisible. When she walked into the room, you’d just… disappear.
Haechan stepped towards you and cupped your face in his hands. Your heart jumped into overdrive. This couldn’t be happening. This was a million times better than your dreams. His hands, so gentle, couldn’t be touching you. His perfect face was so close… you could see his faint brown freckles… you could even smell the citrus laundry softener he refused to admit he used.
“Haechan, what are you-“
Haechan pressed his mouth onto yours, cutting you off. The kiss was sweet, like cotton candy on the pier. You could taste his bubble gum chapstick, and his tongue felt like heaven. After a few moments, he pulled away.
“Now do you believe me?” he said, cheeks flushed.
You smiled in awe, stroking the outline of his face, relishing his soft hair. You couldn’t quite believe he was yours.
“Hmm… I’m not convinced. I think you might have to kiss me again,” you said. “Just to be sure.”

i have a request for dustin’s sister! maybe reader and steve used to date during his douchey phase, and they had a bad break up, but he falls completely and irrevocably back in love with her while they save hawkins multiple times, and dustin finds out and he’s super protective, ‘cause steve broke her heart rlly bad once, and maybe steve sees that he rlly hurt her previously, and then it’s fluffy because reader finds out and they get together because she assures him he’s changed and she’s proud of him? i’m very sorry if this was confusing, i had legitimate brain rot when i sent this in,,
thank you! i love your fics so much! <33
Thank you for reading! I love you 🥰
Also can you imagine protective Dustin? That’s so sweet 🥺 I had to use this gif cause I imagine the reader overhearing their conversation and is shocked to realize that Steve has feelings for her because she thought it was a one sided thing.
Tumblr media
Take Care Of Her
Steve Harrington x Henderson!Reader & Dustin
“Absolutely not,” Dustin said firmly, arms crossed.
Steve looked at him, exasperated and bewildered.
He’d thought he’d do the gentlemanly thing and ask Dustin’s permission to date you, his older sister—again.
Steve had actually dated you once before, back in high school during what he, not so fondly called the Dark Ages. That would be when he was King Steve, grade A asshole and womanizer. He treated hearts like they were made of plastic or some other material that was a whole lot more durable than the glass they usually are—especially when it came to women. He did whatever he pleased not caring who he hurt in the process: bullying, leading girls on, dumping them, you name it.
He wasn’t proud of those days.
Especially since you had been one of his worst victims.
You didn’t fall to his feet when he first perused you and it intrigued him. In fact, he loved the chase. You were a challenge and it was something different than having girls throw themselves at him. But, you eventually wore down and he won you.
He just fucking sucked at keeping you.
Unfortunately, you fell hard for him while at the same time, Steve was growing bored. He’d got what he wanted, but it wasn’t satisfying anymore. He ended up dumping you, breaking you heart into a million little pieces.
The amount of times your little brother had caught you crying in the months that followed was absolutely pathetic. But, he never teased you. He hugged you and let you know that it would eventually be okay. That life would go on without Steve.
It eventually did. Until he showed back up in your life after you’d gotten over him—or at least you thought you’d had.
Steve and Dustin had formed an unlikely friendship after things started going haywire in Hawkins. First, an unassuming pet Dustin had found had turned out to grow and run off, turning into a creature from a whole other dimension.
The shock on your face had most likely been comical when you’d first found the unlikely pair—your brother and Steve. It was awkward at first and you were stiff, not sure how to act around him.
But, he’d changed. He wasn’t the old King Steve, the one who seemed to care about no one but himself. He was helping your 12 year old brother, after all, who at the time he didn’t really know. That was pretty selfless.
When you’d had a moment alone from Dustin, he apologized about what had happened in high school and how much he had hurt you. You’d shrugged it off, telling him it was fine.
Deep down though, the spark of feelings for him had been lit.
Summer of 1985 came and somehow you ended up back in the “saving the world” business with Dustin and Steve. Along this time was new friends Robin and Erica, but you had to admit that you had the worst luck when it came to being stuck with your ex-boyfriend.
When Robin had found out, she had teased you relentlessly about being stuck with the two exes, constantly mentioning that you two were idiots if you both couldn’t see what she did.
Once again, you had been stuck with Steve as you, he and Robin were kidnapped by Russians. Steve was tortured, making that well deep down in your heart that was starting to fill with emotions towards him, starting to overflow. You had been concerned and worried, probably more so than a friend should’ve been.
Things were a mess after you’d been tripping on drugs they gave you. You very faintly remember him kissing you—on the lips—but it was never mentioned, so you figured it was the drugs playing tricks on you.
That tiny spark from before had caught fire, turning into a low flame. But still, you’d refused to admit it.
Five months later and of course, shit got weird in Hawkins again, cause when does it ever not?
The universe shoved you and your ex, along with your brother back together to fight a new villain from the Upside Down. This one was bigger, badder and so much more vicious than you’d ever experienced.
As if the constant being around Steve hadn’t been torture enough, you’d all but written your feelings for him on a billboard for him to see when you instantly went diving after him when he got pulled into an underwater gate to the other dimension.
You didn’t hesitate and went in after him, panicking when you found him being strangled and attacked by demobats. You fought like hell to get them off of him and he was pretty impressive himself, taking a bite out of one then slamming it to the ground, stepping on it and pulling it apart.
He had been badly injured and you tried to help him later after he had a bout of dizziness from the blood loss. You tore material from your shirt, wrapping it around his torso tightly to staunch the bleeding.
He had been shirtless and mere inches from you as he’d peered at you, gratefully. You hadn’t been this close to him in years and you could no longer deny it.
That flame had turned into a fire that burned bright and you’d fallen once again for Steve Harrington.
Which is why you were now huddled on the stairs, listening to Dustin’s and Steve’s conversation below you in the basement. You’d just been on a return trip from the kitchen to grab a bottle of water, when you’d heard what they were talking about: you. You’d frozen and hadn’t moved as you continued to listen to what they were talking about.
“Why not? I didn’t have to ask you for your permission to ask her out,” Steve said, “I could’ve done it anyway, I just wanted to be a gentleman about it.”
“You broke her heart when she was sixteen, Steve,” you heard the gruff tone in Dustin’s voice, “Why do you think I’d let you do that again?”
“Because I’m not that same guy,” Steve said, “I was a complete asshole, I know it. But I’ve fallen in love with her, dude. I mean it’s kinda hard not to when you’ve been through all the shit we have, but still. I wish I’d taken the time to get to know her in high school. That’s my biggest regret.”
Dustin sighed heavily.
“Come on little bro, I think he sounds genuine, what about you?” you finally spoke, making yourself known as you came down the stairs.
They whipped around, looking shocked to have been discovered.
“You heard?” Dustin asked.
“I heard,” you smiled faintly, glancing at Steve.
“Fine,” Dustin relented, “But if you hurt her again, I’m coming after you,” he grumbled, jogging up the stairs, leaving you two alone.
“You really aren’t the same guy,” you said honestly, looking at Steve, “In case you were still hesitant about it. That guy from high school would not do half the shit you’ve done in the last few years. Help my brother, love and care for a group of kids, risk your life for his loved ones. You’re nothing like him anymore, Steve.”
You’d never seen Steve look so shy, you didn’t think he even knew what shy was. But he tentatively reached for your hand, pulling you to him.
“I was an idiot, Y/N Henderson and I realize it. I fell irrevocably in love with you and I really hope you feel the same because I want you to be my girlfriend. If that’s okay with you?”
He bent, studying your face. You were grinning, nodding your head.
“Completely fine with me,” you chuckled.
You reached up to him, finally being able to kiss him after dreaming about it for the last two years.
“Keep it PG down there!” Dustin hollered from upstairs.
You broke away, bursting out laughing.
“He doesn’t have anything to worry about,” Steve whispered to you, “Because this time, I’m going to take care of you.”

I know you got a million prompts, but here's another one:
AEW is coming to Y/N's city and she's excited because HOOK is on the card. However, she gets called in at the hospital where she works. She's heartbroken... until later that night when a young man is admitted with a possible concussion and potentially cracked ribs. Y/N doesn't need to look at his chart because she recognizes him. It's HOOK, who hit a table wrong in his match and has been sent for x-rays.
The way I rannnnn to write this because I love this request and concept that much! Thank you for sending it in I hope you love it!
(The gif might be cheesy for this but, it works, right? 🤣)
Tumblr media
You really did try to hide the devastation you felt, but walking through the hospital doors when you’d planned for months to be walking through the venue doors at the arena just reminded you how absolutely gutted you were that you couldn’t make it to AEW.
You scanned your badge right at seven-thirty, and that was another cruel reminder for you, since that’s when the doors would be opening for you at the arena, not the damn hospital. However, you knew that sometimes this is how things go with being a nurse and it’s not the first time you’ve had to cancel plans, most likely won’t be the last.
You offered a forced smile to everyone who passed by but your heart physically ached in your chest. Yes, you absolutely adore your job but you’d rather not be in that hospital tonight. You’ve never gotten the chance to go to AEW and the one time you did, your boss called you last minute and practically pleaded for you to come in. Despite knowing the plans you had and the tickets sitting in your purse, you couldn’t leave your team hanging so, here you are, dragging your heavy legs down the hallway.
“Hey Y/N” one of the other nurses greets you. You smiled but didn’t say anything back as you rounded the nurse station to get to the computers. “Wait, I thought you had the night off?” She asks. “Yeah, thought I did too.” You mumbled under your breath. You logged into your portal to review your awaiting patients and tasks, and then you plastered on a false smile, once again, and headed to the first room.
You knew you had to work hard to hide the way you were genuinely feeling inside so before stepping through the door, you had to count a few deep breaths. Then you walked in and found a young woman sitting on the edge of her bed, hand over her chest as she tries and fails to take deep breaths.
You glanced down at her chart where it was documented that she came in complaining of stomach pain, so you asked, “Is your chest bothering you? What are you feeling right now?” And in those kinds of moments it’s always so easy to forget anything you might have going on because the empathy you feel for your patients becomes your first priority, so for the first time since your boss called you to come in tonight, the show wasn’t on your mind.
“I have anxiety, I always do this, i just get so anxious in hospitals, I mean, the walls are basically grey, it just feels like I’m here to die.” The young woman rambled, her cheeks flushing the more she spoke. You nodded gently and placed your clipboard down on the side counter before leaning down to get eye level with her.
“It’s okay, I understand. Believe it or not, I hate hospitals too.” You chuckled lightly, earning a weak laugh from the young woman. You placed one hand on her shoulder, “do me a favor and try to take in a deep breath, slow deep breath, and hold it for a few seconds, and breathe it back out. Can you do that?”
You watched as she nodded and inhaled shakily, but exhaled much smoother. “Again.” You coaxed her, rubbing her shoulder. You could see her starting to calm down, her hands no longer trembling and cheeks returning color. She looked into your eyes, “wow, that actually helped a lot.”
“I have to do it all the time, I get it.” You smile before you stand up and grab the clipboard off the counter. “So it says here you’ve been having stomach pains? Can you elaborate on that a little bit?”
She nods and points to her lower right abdomen, “For a couple of days I’ve had this nagging, sharp pain here. It’s not debilitating but it’s constantly there and sometimes it’s worse than other’s. I was ignoring it until I was at getting ready to go out tonight and I felt like I’d literally been stabbed.”
You nodded as you listened. The first thing you thought was appendicitis, so you jotted that down to bring to the doctor, whenever he comes in to check her. “Do you have any nausea or vomiting?” And she shook her head no.
You grabbed the digital thermometer from out of your pocket and brought it up to hover over her forehead. Her temp read 99.9, which could be normal for her typical body temperature or could indicate a low-grade fever. “Okay” you said as you jotted it down, im going to tell the doctor and he’ll be in here in just a few minutes. If you get anxious or anything and the breathing techniques don’t help, you can push the button on the side of your bed and ask for y/n. I’m right down the hall.”
“Thank you.” She whispered before you nodded back and headed out the door. You were heading back to the nurse station when another nurse you didn’t know all that well stopped you in the middle of the hallway.
“Hey, y/n?” She read over your badge to ensure she got your name right. “Listen, I really need to leave. My daughter is sick as a dog and she needs me. I’m so sorry to have to do this. I know we’re already short staffed but is there anyway you can take over my last patient? I haven’t checked him in or anything yet, i really need to go home.”
You felt your shoulders slack but agreed anyway. She smiled and thanked you before she started fast tracking to the nurse station, with you following behind. That’s when you caught eye of the doctor heading towards the last room on the wing, the one you’d just walked out of, and you handed him the clipboard in hand as he approached you.
“Anxiety?” He quirked a brow. “That’s not a medical reason to be taking up space in our ER.” He was a bit of a dick, on most days. He was stern and cold and usually wasn’t the most caring doctor in the world with his patients unless they had something seriously wrong.
“Read underneath it.” You wanted to roll your eyes but remained respectful.
“Ah, possible appendicitis. That’s more my speed.” He shot a weird grin before he headed down the hall. You then turned to the nurse you’d be taking the place of and were presented with her chart for her last patient of the day. You envied her on the inside but you bit that back.
“Thank you so much. I owe you.” She said in a rush before she grabbed her things and scurried down the hallway. At least she only had under and hour left before her shift would’ve been over so, it’s not like you were doubling up all night.
You started walking down the hall when you read the room number but stopped dead in your tracks when Tyler Senerchia was written out underneath. You stared at that bold print for about five seconds longer before you clutched the clipboard and made yourself start walking again.
In your mind there was no way this was the Tyler Senerchia, as in Hook, as in the main wrestler you were going to AEW tonight for in the first place. You shook your head in pure denial until you opened the door and caught brown eyes when he raised his head off of the pillow.
“Oh wow” you gasped, but you meant to keep that in your head. You couldn’t help it, you were just starstruck for the first time in your life. It’s not everyday an AEW wrestler shows up, or anyone like them for that matter.
His brows furrowed out of clear confusion before that emotion morphed into pain, and he dropped his head back down and screwed his eyes shut. He clutched his side and the back of his neck, and that’s when you glanced down at his chart.
He arrived via ambulance at 8:31 and showed signs of fractured ribs and a possible concussion. You didn’t understand why they stuck him in a room to wait but that’s the fun of working in an understaffed hospital, you supposed.
You attempted to collect yourself and snap back into nurse mode. It wasn’t easy but you had to remind yourself that you were dealing with an injured patient right now, not your favorite AEW wrestler only.
You cleared your throat and stepped over to the side of his bed. His eyes peered open when he heard your footsteps draw near, some blood trickled down from his temple that you saw when he turned his head to face you.
“Can you tell me what happened?” You asked after your typical formal introduction. He tried to sit up but was immediately stopped by the pain. He groaned out, clutching his side and that’s when you laid the clipboard down by his feet and gently grabbed his shoulders, easing him back down.
“You don’t have to sit up, just relax.” You tell him as you position his pillow better to make him a little more comfortable. He inhaled a breath but it wasn’t as deep as he wanted thanks to the sharp pains shooting all through his ribs. You noted immediately that he had some swelling and quick discoloration and grabbed the clipboard, jotting that down.
“I was wrestling this guy, im a professional wrestler for AEW, if you know what that is?” He asked, pausing as he tried to figure out your answer. You nodded simply, and he continued. “Well we had a table involved in our match and he threw me into it, but I landed like, sideways so when the table broke in half, it basically speared me, except without all the blood, you know, cause I’m not bleeding.”
You couldn’t help but let a faint smile linger to your lips but had to quickly wipe it away. You glanced down at his hand still clutching his side and tucked the clipboard underneath your arm. “I’m gonna feel around a little bit. If anything hurts too much, let me know, okay?”
He nodded as he slowly slid the hand up to rest over his chest. You carefully placed your finger all around the swollen, bruising area and felt him stiffen. “Too much?” You eyed him, but he adverted his pained stare to the ceiling and shook his head. You then gently poked the center of the swelling and, as expected, he let out a low grunt of pain and squeezed his eyes shut.
“Okay, im done.” You tell him as you take s step back. “What about your head?” You asked when you read off the possibility of a concussion. “Did you hit it on the table too?”
“Floor, actually. It was all fucked up.” He rubs over his forehead before he glanced back at you. “Shit im sorry, I didn’t mean to cuss.”
You chuckled at that and shook your head. “It’s okay, don’t worry. You wouldn’t believe all the stuff I hear around here.”
You then lean over and hold up one finger. “I need you to follow it.” You tell him as you slowly move it from left to right above him. His eyes followed it easily but you still wanted to have all the possibilities taken care of so you didn’t X out the possibility of a concussion, just in case.
Your eyes scanned his body in search of any other noticeable injury from what you could see. “You must’ve came here immediately. You’re still wearing your ring gear.”
That’s when a bit of a surprised look appeared on his face and he lolled his head to the side, looking at you. “You watch wrestling?” He asked. You nodded, feeling your lips pull into another effortless smile. “Actually, I was gonna be there tonight, but I got called in last minute.” You tell him, watching a slight smile slip on his lips.
“Damn, I hate that.” He tells you, attempting to adjust himself but again, that pain stopped him from being able to do hardly anything. You snapped back into nurse mode and carefully leaned him up so you could adjust his pillow, before easing him back down again.
“This is so embarrassing.” He chuckles, exposing a set of bright white teeth.
“What is?” You asked, returning the same smile.
“My nurse is gorgeous and im basically crippled.” He muttered, rubbing his hand through his hair.
“You’re not crippled.” You chuckle back before the realization hits you. It went right over your head that he called you gorgeous, and suddenly you felt your cheeks intensely burning. “Oh-“ you didn’t mean to say that. You had a tendency to say things that were meant to be kept locked away in your brain.
“Sorry, that’s probably really inappropriate.” He brings his hands to his face and covers it before sliding them down his cheeks.
“No, it’s okay.” Your voice was suddenly ten times softer. “And thank you. I’m actually a real big fan, believe it or not. I was crushed when my boss called me in tonight. The whole reason I was even gonna go was basically for you.” You started rambling, especially when his eyes caught yours and a soft smirk appeared, exposing a dimple that could’ve weakened your knees. Actually, did weaken your knees.
“Yeah?” He asked, wishing more than anything that he didn’t have to be talking to such a beautiful girl in the state he’s in but at that moment he wasn’t thinking about that or the pain, and that was thanks to your smile. It was contagious, just made him wanna smile right back despite the way his head was pounding and his ribs were probably cracked.
“I hate that you didn’t get to go, but maybe we can change that.” He grins. He didn’t know if it was the hit to the head or what but he was feeling pretty bold. You on the other hand just fell silent, rather speechless as you hugged the clipboard to your chest.
“You know we’re here for two nights. Anyway you can take off work tomorrow? I don’t mean to brag but, I kind of have this really cool way of getting seats right behind the barricade.” He chuckles. Your cheeks were turning bright red and when he saw it, he knew the kind of affect he was having on you.
“You really don’t have to do that.” You tell him, but he gives you a certain look.
“I want to. Think of it as my way of thanking you for fluffing my pillows and not telling anybody you had to do that because I couldn’t even sit up on my own.” He chuckles and you were really loving the sound of that laugh.
Rendered speechless once more, you dropped your eyes to the floor and smiled like an idiot.
“So is that a yes, nurse y/n?”
Butterflies erupted in your stomach and you had to do your best to fight it.
“I mean obviously im in no condition to fight right now, so since you said you wanted to go just for me, maybe I can just bring you backstage and we can watch the whole show from back there. I might need my pillows fluffed again.” He smirks, and you really couldn’t believe what he was even saying.
“That’s if you can leave tomorrow.” You remind him with a pointed look. “We have to see how bad your injuries are first.”
He held that smirk on his face as he nodded, shrugging his shoulders. “Alright, I guess that’s fair. I mean, as long as you’re my nurse tonight, nobody else.” His dimple deepens.
You nodded back, unable to keep that smile from breaking out. “I’ll be with you all night. I don’t get off til seven in the morning. If you’re not out of here by then-“
“But if I am?” He quirks one brow under the sweaty locks of hair. “Would you let me do that for you?”
You dropped your head and smiled like an idiot once again. “You’re pretty persistent.” You tell him. “You do realize you are in pain right now, right?” You teased.
“Haven’t noticed since you smiled at me.” He shrugged coolly and held those dark, captivating eyes on you.
Rendered speechless once more, you glanced down at your clipboard and noted that you’d been in that room with him for way too long.
“I need to get the doctor.” You couldn’t let that smile falter with the way he was looking at you. “So we can see what we’re really dealing with. If you’re able to go home tonight or tomorrow, then I don’t see why not.”
You watched his smile widen as he nodded. “I’m gonna go order your X-rays and the doctor will be in shortly.” You tell him as you headed out the door. You were still smiling to the point your cheeks started to hurt but quickly realized it was probably not changing anytime soon when your phone buzzed in your pocket once you got to the nurse station.
You didn’t recognize the number so you knew exactly who it was. And the second you read it, you dropped your head and let that smile completely take over.
“if anyone gets hurt at the show tomorrow, you’re my nurse, im not sharing”

I’m back! And back with something I promise will be worth it! (I freaking love this gif and have been looking for an excuse to use it 😂)
Tumblr media
One Shot - Sargent Hunter
Tumblr media
“It’s better this way” (Part One)
So we can argue that 'The Love You Want' and 'Blood Sport' by Sleep Token inspired this. If you haven't, give them a listen and think about it from Hunter's POV. Also I'm going to throw a name in but feel free to read it as whoever you want. This will be a few parts and end happy I promise! Probably going to be some cute romantic smut so please stick around!
Warnings:
18+, heartbreak, smut, (I'm bad at warnings let me know if I missed anything) mentions of blood (unintentional self harm?). References to stars exploding. Female character/reader.
Summary:
Relationships during wartime are tough...you'd know that better than anyone. Being a Mandalorian, you has been asked to train clones on Kamino. It just felt like the right thing to do, and what confirmed that for you was the moment the handsome Sargent had his eyes on you. Eventually letting him get to know you, you felt deep and hard for the man, but the reality of the war was forever in the back of your mind....
————
The last few days have been full of moping around and trying to avoid the love of my life...yeah thats right I said it...he's the love of my life...however the reality of the war knocking on my door telling me he's been killed in action is one of the toughest pills to swallow. Having decided it would be easier to let him go than to bare the heartache, I've been trying to find the right words to say to make him understand.
I'm so lost in my own head, sharpening my blades I almost missed it, "Hey" Hunter’s voice comes from over my shoulder. The tone is a somber one, making my heart shatter like glass into millions of tiny shards. For a moment I hesitate, wondering if I should pick up the pieces or move on - I knew this was going to be hard, I just didn't realize how hard...Two strong arms wrap around my torso, pulling me from my thoughts, and instinctively I push them away.
"We need to talk" I mutter as a tear slides down my cheek. Quickly, I wipe it away before turning to face him all while avoiding his eyes. He's not stupid...it doesn't take enhanced senses to know what's going on, but I'm sure it intensifies things... his hand moves towards my face and this time I allow the contact as he turns my face up towards his. I immediately get lost, those big beautiful brown eyes that let you know your the star at the very center of his universe. The sun that gives life to the surrounding planets.
His voice is as calm as darkness of space, deep and almost apologetic "Please talk to me Mesh'la. I know you're in pain." Sucking in a shaky breath, I attempt to steady myself. "I think it's best if we both go our separate ways" the sentence comes falling out of my mouth before my brain can even catch up.
I search his face for any indication of a reaction but get none. He doesn't move, doesn't speak, doesn't even blink for that matter. It's like someone pressed the pause button and all of the galaxy comes to a screeching halt. Meanwhile I tear his apart, the star at the center running out of nuclear fuel, causing a collapse at it's core, ending in a large galactic explosion.
Without another word or explanation, I decide it's best to give him some time to deal with the black hole now left behind. I storm off down the hall, walking much faster that I intended to, escaping the situation. Tears stream down my face and a few clones passing by exchange concerned looks. I'm suddenly filled by anger - I just gave up on him…on us, I don't need your pity - I think to myself.
The feeling of something warm in my hand catches my attention, stopping my in my tracks. Looking down I realize I still have one of my blades in my hand and I've been white knuckling it, the crimson liquid seeps between the cold durasteel and my skin. For a moment I watch as it drips to the floor, creating a small puddle that spatters with each drop. As I watch, string of curses in my native language of Mando'a grace my lips with their presence.
A familiar voice calls my name “Circe?” Without taking my eyes off the drips that have my undivided attention, “Elek? (Yes?)” I mutter - brain still working in Mando’a. The crimson drips are picking up their pace but I can’t help but watch in a trance. I can hear a set of plastoid boots hitting the permacrete growing closer. “You are injured, I would get that looked at if I were you.” Slowly I reach for the blade with my other hand and Tech moves like he’s going to stop me, “I would not—“ I cut him off, hissing as I pull the blade from the wound. The cut is deep and now that it’s hit the air, it stings. He sighs in annoyance “Come with me. You need to get cleaned up.”
In the med bay I don’t meet his gaze. He has no idea how I’ve hurt his vod (brother), not yet anyways. Once he’s finished, he stands in front of me as I stare at the white bandage now wrapped around my palm. “That should do it for now. You will need to have it changed tomorrow. Come find me then.” When he’s done talking, I expect him to move but he doesn’t. I finally raise my head and meet his eyes. The same big brown eyes he shares with so many others look back at me and one particular Clone Sargent comes to mind, I come completely undone.
Not a sound leaves my lips, but tears stream down my face. Tech looks around frantically as if something will appear of thin air and offer an explanation. I’ve always been able to confided in him, he’s my best friend but we never talked about how I felt…he never saw this coming. “I ended it” my voice cracks. The look on his face tells me he’s put two and two together, his eyebrows look as if they are trying to find a new home within his hair line and just when I think his eyes couldn’t get bigger they do. And just then, in his eyes another star burns up into nothing. I can’t blame him for how he might feel, I broke his vod’s (brothers) heart and no one saw it coming.
Composing himself from the shock, he clears his throat and straightens his goggles - as if they needed it. “I am sorry to hear that” is all he says. I can’t lose my best friend too…not now. “I can’t lose him” I blurt out, sounding way more desperate than I intended to. He gives me a confused look. “If he dies out there…” I can’t even finish the thought it hurts like a thousand blades cutting deep into my core. Tears stream more persistently down my face, clouding my vision.
“You do not want to lose him out there…so you push him away here?” Confusion dripping from his voice.
“I know it doesn’t make sense but Tech trust me…it’s better this way.”
“Better for who exactly?”
“For me.” He doesn’t respond and silence once again fills the room. I don’t know why I’m trying to explain this to him…he doesn’t and won’t understand. Pushing myself off the exam table, I stride past him towards the door. I hesitate for a moment, “This will hurt less in the end.” And with that I head down the hall to prepare to teach my next class.

Watching Hannibal for the first time S2E7-E8
Tumblr media
Episode 7
Will is free everybody, but given his mental state, maybe he should stay in prison. The boy is unwell, justifiably so. Miriam Lass, now equipped with a cool robot arm, also not doing well. However is still training with the FBI, after two years of psychological torment from Hannibal. We love a motivated queen.
Jack really shows up in this episode, before Will even leaves the asylum property. and is all like, "We're still friends right... Pookie bear come home the kids miss you." and Will still goes to the cabin where they found Miriam. Granted it is not for Jack, it's so he can catch Hannibal, and after sniffing around the Love Shack, Will diagnoses Hannibal as just being a whimsical little guy. He's just a theatrical little scamp. Where you see a living person Hannibal sees an art exhibit.
(Headcanon: Hannibal is a fan of Marina Abramovic.)
Tumblr media
Anyway, Jack is now leaning toward Hannibal, maybe being the Ripper, especially after talking with Will. The Sassy Science boys even find a fingerprint that matches Hannibal's on a flower petal. Hey, you know who else fits the profile of the Ripper.
Tumblr media
Now, they are correct, that being said. You find a fingerprint of the man, YOUR BEST GUY, has been pointing to for weeks, and just go "Know what? This other guy is also pretty whimsical." I won't completely fault them for this because Chiton on paper looks suspicious, especially considering his own unethical practice of implanting memories in people. Ignoring that...Chilton goes home and finds Gideon's body in his guest room.
Hannibal was clearly keeping Gideon alive, and sclicing pieces of him off like a leftover Christmas ham. I just feel the need to clarify that.
Chilton books it, but, Hannibal is already in the house. In his plastic murder suit. On top of this, there are two FBI agents outside, waiting for Chilton. Hannibal proceeds to knock out Chilton and super-murder the two agents. He then dips, leaving Chilton to hang with three dead bodies. Just like a goofy whimsical guy would.
Chilton is taken in for questioning, and Miriam freaks out, Is convinced this is the Ripper right in front of her and shoots him in the face.
Tumblr media
...Oh also, Will tries to kill Hannibal, decides not to do that, but does want to continue seeing Hannibal for his therapy.
Tumblr media
Because these two girls like to play 4D chess. Personally, I started eating the game pieces long ago and probably would have shot the bastard. But who am I to question art.
Side note. There's a moment between Alana and Will, and she's all mad that he tried to murder Hannibal from prison. Will's response is "Girl... ya boyfriend Eats people...please do not talk to me or my dogs ever again." He didn't say it out loud but I saw it in his eyes.
Ep 8
Tumblr media
The fact that this GIF is not edited...and this was a real line from the show.
Now, I'm not a doctor or a veterinarian, but I don't think people go in horses. I am also fairly certain, that to put a person inside a horse would require breaking some bones. Then again, I eat chess pieces, so what do I know. We're gonna circle back to the horse incident first let's talk about Jack and Will
Tumblr media
The episode opens with Jack and Will Ice fishing. Clearly, these too are talking about catching Hannibal. When I'm not busy shoving game pieces down my throat, I can catch on to obvious fishing metaphors. Isn't Jack's wife dying of cancer...could this conversation not happen over a phone call. Priorities Jack. Anyway, they take the fish to Hannibal, and he cooks them dinner. The way this man plates these fish is appalling an octopus is involved. Octopus and trout, how did it take these people so long to realize he's a lunatic.
They sit down to that horror show and have a little chit-chat about how their all friends, and Hannibal and Will are going to put the whole attempted murder behind them.
Tumblr media
We also meet Margot Verger, of the Verger slaughterhouse, which is worth millions. She is justifiably traumatized because her brother Mason has been abusing her their whole lives. Abusing her in ways I won't describe here, but I trust you understand. Also, she is gay, and a woman, So her stupid dead sexist bigot father left everything to her brother because only straight people with penises can slaughter hogs.
Hannibal is her therapist, and she wants to murder her brother. Hannibal is very enthusiastic about that idea.
Also, her brother Mason, steals people's tears? and stirs them into his martinies? It is very silly and was certainly a choice the showrunners made.
Tumblr media
Circling back to the horse thing. We meet Peter. A victim of a traumatic brain injury, who loves animals. Even though getting kicked by a horse was the reason for his injury. If anything bad happens to Peter I will rip this website asunder. DO NOT TOUCH HIM. So he did put a dead woman in a horse, to try and revive her. That is true. His social worker was murdering women and trying to blame Peter for it, but after Peter tells the police this. The social worker kills the horse that hurt Peter, just to be vindictive, before trying to murder Peter.
I WAS DEEPLY UPSET ABOUT THE HORSE DYING.
Anyway, Will and Hannibal show up, and as mentioned before, Peter has put his social worker in the horse. Will takes him aside to console him, and Peter confesses. He did not kill the guy before putting him in the horse...

This man... put another man. A LIVING GROWN ADULT MAN. Inside a horse. sewing him up inside. That man then bursts out of the horse, still alive, and where was Hannibal when all of this was happening.

Petting a sheep. In the barn. Just watching this man re-enact Alien. Even Hannibal seems to have a second of "Wow, this is happening" before telling the guy he would be better off in the horse. Will then storms back in and tries to kill the social worker but Hannibal stops him at the last second. Clearly impressed by Will's eagerness to kill.
...Seriously how big is a horse's womb...
