You want more morally ambigous fucked up lesbians?
The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling.
One woman, Gyre, on an extremely dangerous cave climb, so dangerous that this one trip will be all she needs for the money to get off planet. Its worth taking a few extra risks to do this in one expedition rather than many.
Above ground, one woman, Em, who insists on being Gyre's sole guide, because when she brings in other guides they end up arguing over different....priorities, which can be fatally distracting for the caver.
The cave itself seems to harbour the ghosts of dead climbers....or is there actually someone down there with Gyre? Can Gyre really trust Em's intentions with her life? By the time shes down there, does she have any other choice?
Much like tlt, theres some big themes about danger and death and grief. Also much tlt, the lesbianism is *there* but its not sappy hugs and kisses, after all, its also a book about extreme isolation and what that does to a person.
I read this in about two sittings. My only complaint really is that I had trouble picturing all the various cave features and how they connected, and while theres a map in the front its not that highly detailed. But I just accepted "ok youre telling me its narrow here" , "ok that was difficult to navigate" and it was fine.
Its sort of a horror/thriller under the general sff label, Id say.
