i am absolutely insane about your headcanons with the vee's, my mind is so full now... this is exactly what i was hoping to find when searching through the hazbin x reader tag after watching the episodes 👁️🙏🏻 please i'm so!! the being a writer for the vee's imagine is such a good idea, val and his.. comment especially got to me..

also, for your consideration:

Val — or all of the Vee's, really —, but, in the beginning, he's really not convinced about the quality of your dialogues, despite all the lines he's read (or, well, has had Vox read to him), so naturally you have to read your previous stories out loud to him, cheeks flushing and squirming when it gets to particularly graphic scenes and his gaze on you is so very heavy, smoke caressing your jaw while you stumble over your words.. It's worse if you've written about them and a character who resembles you, and Val's smile widens when you skip from story to story, mentioning the character — definitely not you — sucking Vox off, bending over willingly for Val and begging for Velvette to touch her, or even take all three of them at once, greedy...

Also the. love potions Velvette makes have me feeling things.. Her or Vox but they might end up putting a drop or four into your glass — purely accidentally, of course! —, and...

this is terrible.. my mind is too full now... i might have to post writing for hazbin now and it is your fault alone.. (affectionate; truly, I've enjoyed your thoughts so very much!! thank you for sharing!)

The fact Vox even bothers at all to take the time to sit Valentino down and read to him is already a show of your quality— He really wouldn’t go through wrangling him like that for just anyone, especially not with Val getting a bit pissy when being reminded your works were being compared to his. He needs to be told that, obviously, Val, some mere written words are never going to compare, especially not in earnings, to his creations. This placates Valentino. But all Vox gets for his efforts are a lazy flick of one of Valentino’s four wrists, his eyes not even looking at him. “Look, I still think it fucking sucks. But if you wanna hire them so badly, whatever. I’ve got better shit to do than listen to daddy’s horny story-time.” Suffice it to say, he becomes a lot more… Amiable (poor you) once you’re actually working there, and he has a face to attach to the stories. He can tell upon first glance that you’re one of those pathetic little hermits, too scared to leave your own shitty apartment, barely scraping by— He’s recruited plenty of those types as whores, after all. So easily pushed around that it shouldn’t give him nearly as much satisfaction as it does.

When Valentino practically demands you join him in his room and read your previous work to him, you sputter out protests, heart skipping a beat. Every employee in the company has something bad to say about this man, and so he’s about the last person you want to be caught alone in a room with. Especially not his bedroom.

“Ah, sir, I’m not really sure—“ But he’s already wrapping one of his arms around your shoulders, pulling you flush against his side as he drags you through the halls. The first thing that strikes you is how different the texture of coat is than you were expecting. It doesn’t even feel like anything at all. “Oh, sweetheart, call me Valentino. No need to be so unfamiliar with each other.” He practically purrs, a single finger tracing up the contours of your chest. “I feel like we’re going to get quite familiar.” If all the alarms weren’t ringing in your head before, they most definitely are now. But there’s nothing you can do. His grip on you is tight and, underneath his red coat, you can feel the hard metal of a pistol pressing against you.

He takes you to his room, walls covered with posters featuring himself, and you hardly have the time to look around before he sits you down on one of his red couches, still caught underneath one of his arms. It’s hard to think, much less speak, as Valentino starts to prod you to pull out your phone and start reading. “No need to be shy. You’re such an artista, aren’t you? Don’t keep me waiting.” It’s easy, at first. When the scene hasn’t grown explicit yet, and you can pretend you’re only reading the text out loud to yourself like you always do, making sure the sentences sound right. But Valentino makes it hard for you to distract yourself entirely. He rubs circles on the skin of your thigh, and the smoke from his pipe has long since been the only thing you can smell. The red smoke makes your head a little hazier, tongue a little looser— Though that all just might be because you’re not getting enough oxygen. Your every muscle is tense and, you think, this is what being a prey animal must feel like. The first time you stutter out the word ‘cock’, Valentino barks out a laugh, loud and sudden, entirely contrasting with the sultry demeanour he’s been putting on the whole time. You jump, gaze flickering from the screen to his face, before continuing. It gets worse when you realise exactly what story you’re reading out loud to him, one of the ones you’d never even posted anywhere, so utterly self-indulgent and poorly thought out that you regret it with every ounce of your being. (Unbeknownst to you, Vox has already read every draft you’ve ever typed up, but that’s neither here nor there.)

“Sorry, can I maybe, um, read a different one?” You practically squeak out. “I realised I have some better drafts, and…” “No,” Valentino shuts you down, tone temporarily harsh. “Don’t get too fucking cocky now, you’re already taking up enough time as it is. Shit’s about to get interesting, finally.” He’s saying all of this as if he wasn’t the one to drag you there in the first place.

So you trudge onward, reading as fast as you possible can, just trying to tough it out. As you read about a scared, unaccomplished demonic main character catching the eye of a trio of some of the most famous demons in town—through entirely unrealistic circumstances—you can see his grin grow wider from the corner of your eye. His nails dig into the flesh of your thigh, the smoke surrounding your face turning to caress your cheeks.

“So, let me gets this straight… You wrote about a trio of powerful demons with matching names, taking turns fucking an absolute nobody silly. One of them’s a pimp, the other a fashion designer, and the other a business man.” Valentino doesn’t give you the chance to respond. “Greedy little slut. You even chose this one specifically to read out to me, huh? Seems I got you all wrong,” he hisses out. “This must be a dream come true for you, isn’t it?”

Let’s just say that you got enough ‘material’ to write another four or so stories, just from that line alone.

----- A drop of love potion, and models always behave the absolute best, or so Velvette thinks! (As long as you don’t put in too much. It’s very hard to take good pictures when the girls keep trying to kiss you.) No bitching, no whining, only an easy to pose, cute demon to work with. And if she dresses you up in clothes that reveal more than they obscure, purely for her own enjoyment and usage, who’s going to blame her?

Certainly not you. You won’t remember a single damn thing. Not even the parts where you babble on about how pretty and gorgeous and cool she is, and how you’ve admired her for so long— All things she’s heard a million times before. Normally, she wouldn’t care less about it, but such words coming from someone with only a drop of her potion in her system means they’re all the absolute truth. She thinks it’s almost cute when it’s coming from you, really. ------------ Vox, on the other hand, would be more likely to use his hypnosis on you than a love potion. Just to have a few minutes in the middle of a meeting where you’re practically putty in his hands, all of your usual anxiety and shame having slid right off of your shoulders. He doesn’t feel any guilt about it whatsoever. Having read all of your works, he finds it safe to say that this is the exact kind of scenario you would enjoy…

And even if you didn’t, he still would. He gets a bit of a thrill out of the loopy, relaxed smile on your face as you nuzzles your cheeks against his arm, professing all of the thoughts you had about him before working at VoxTech, and the ones you still have today. It’s during one of these exact moments, that he’d likely find out that Valentino had fucked you already, something he hadn’t found necessary to mention. They’ll have a bit of a discussion about that later!

Stuff you should read: Romantic intent! Was supposed to be bulleted but i got lazy, Setting is set in Camp Vargas 1/2 even though i havent actually read CV1 and im only on book 1 of CV2 *cries* leona favouritism because i didnt realise how long writing an entire events drabble would take, sleeping on the floor because i have never camped before and the idea of figuring out how this would work with sleeping bags makes me want to do bad things

LEONA KINGSCHOLAR

After thanking Ruggie and Epel for their help setting up yours and Leona's tent, it was time to help everyone else, so that the Spelldrive Club wouldn't get chewed out by Vargas.

Well… That's what you had in mind, before Leona pulled you down to the grass with him, ordering saying you should relax with him.

“Oi. Come sit down with me.”

“Leona, I have to help everyone else get set up.”

“They'll be fine without you. Now, come sit.”

Helping them would have to wait for whatever else was in store.

Once the first event was announced, and the three objectives were set, you were determined to help the Spelldrive Club at least a little. Pulling yourself from Leona, you decided to follow Ruggie and Epel through each objective.

After an exhausting 3 objectives, night had come, and everyone in the Spelldrive Club were relaxing by the campfire. Whether they be sharing stories, or cracking jokes, everyone was fairly lively for having just gone through the ringer. Everyone except Leona, A.K.A. the only one who didn't do anything, that is. He had his head resting on yours, half-asleep.

Ruggie was actually the one to point out that you two should go to bed, stating that you looked like hell, and that Leona was already snoozin'. So, you practically dragged Leona from the campfire, saying goodnight to Epel and Ruggie, and finally went to the confines of your tent.

Once you got in the tent, and got decently comfortable, Leona, who by this point was already asleep, attached himself to your back like a leech.

“….ve you.”

“Leo? Did you say something?”

“No. Go t' bed, Herbivore.”

he totally said ily then got to shy to admit it in his borderline sleeping state.

Once you two got into the tent, you couldn't help but sit down with a sigh. Even though you two were part of an art club, it felt as if Vargas was just as hard on you as he was on the sports clubs.

“Child of Man, is something wrong? You seem down.”

You answered him with another sigh, “It's nothing. Today was just a little tough, is all.”

Malleus sat next to you, opening his arms, “Why don't we lay together, then? You seem to always feel better afterwards.”

Your face would light up ever so slightly, crawling from your spot and into his arms as he laid down. Your head was next to his chest, and you could easily feel his calm heartbeat through his attire. Eventually it was enough to lull you into a light slumber, yet through the drowsiness, you could feel Malleus' lips on your head with a few soft words.

“Goodnight, Child of Man. I love you.”

AZUL ASHENGROTTO

Out of the two of you, Azul was the one to cave into exhaustion first. He practically flopped onto the tent floor the second he walked in. He was a mess. His face was beet red, his breath ragged, and he couldn't stand the thought of staying awake a single second longer.

With the last ounce of energy he had left, he grabbed your hand as he went down, pulling you with him.

“Wuh- Azul!”

“[Name]...” He groaned. Obviously the soreness and drowsiness was getting to him, “'m so tired.” He wrapped his arms around you, groaning again, “Let's sleep now.”

You slowly wrapped your arms around him, chuckling, “Okay. Goodnight, Azul.”

“Mmn. Night.”

You didn't see him this tired very often, but it seemed you'd have to find a way to see him like this again.

“[Name]!!! Azul! Look at this cool stone I found! +20 MP!”

Oh lord......

LILIA VANROUGE

Lilia was, surprisingly, nowhere near tired, even though he was decrepit. So, when you were sat at the campfire with the rest of the pop music club with your head on his shoulder, he chuckled.

"My. Are you falling asleep, [Name]?"

You shook your head insistently, "No. 'm not tired, just resting my eyes, is all."

You could practically see him laughing through your closed eyes, "Uh huh. Wise words from an old man such as myself; I can tell when someone is falling asleep. Oftentimes that person should go to bed."

You pulled yourself from dreamland and opened your eyes, "No, I'm awake. See? I was just resting m' eyes."

"More wise words; Fae can tell when humans lie."

Kalim gasped, "Wha?! Seriously?! That's so cool!"

Cater agreed, much to your chagrin, "You could totally be put on those lie detector shows! Those ones where they ask those suuuper toxic couples questions about each other!"

"Mmn. Is that true, Lilia?" You looked over to him. He had a minor habit of telling you something to prove a point , then taking it back.

He nodded, "Mhm. So we should get to bed, right?"

You slowly nodded. As much as you could deny it, nothing could get past Lilia the Lie Detector. You stood up while rubbing your eyes. Lilia waved goodbye to his club members, retreating with you to your tent.

The second your head hit the pillow that Vargas had so kindly given the arts groups, you were asleep. Lilia gazed upon your sleeping form, smiling softly. Fae couldn't actually detect lies, but you didnt need to know that. All you needed to know was that he knew you very well. You two were together, after all.

He laid next to you, admiring you, and how your body rose and fell with each calm breath, and how your hair fell to frame your face beautifully, and especially the drool trickling from your mouth already.

He would definitely have to tease tell you about that tomorrow.

From the post where you said that the tweels get punishment by sleeping in the couch now i just imagine that darling has two emergency eel plushies for when this happens to cuddle with exactly how you would sleep like with the tweels but instead there is a large eel plush (both being similar colors of their merform the one to remplace Floyd has a :D face with the sharp teeth made of cloth too but the eyes closed in the same droopy way the Jade plush is similar but smiling with the mouth closed :) type way and of course his eyes turned upwards to rub it more in their faces they have the same black hair strand) to let them know that bad eels don't get cuddles now go! >:( I would do this with any other character as well. Also i am curious about what animal do you think that rollo would be best because honestly I have no idea for him yet (Azul also gets his own octopus plush for when he didn't came in his gm outfit)

Omg yes!!! Snuggling with two eel plushies that have similar features while the twins sit in horny jail on the sofa. >_< you can be certain that the moment they’ve finished serving their sentence they’re going to fuck you so good and so hard and make you so silly on their cocks. Maybe they even get jealous of the eel plushies if you’re sleeping with them often (or using them for pleasure). I imagine by the second or third day of being condemned to the couch the eels are considering just apologizing once more and begging to be let back in. Or breaking down your bedroom door. The latter seems better and keeps their pride intact, but then they don’t really care much about pride because they love you and would beg in a heartbeat if you wanted it. They’d get on their knees so easily for you. The eels are so whipped for you. orz anything for their beloved darling. :)

Their happiness is palpable when you finally let them back in. They’re clinging to you and cuddling so sweetly. It lasts for all of three minutes before their hands are wandering and they’re casually discussing what they should do to you with wicked smiles:

“Was awfully mean of Shrimpy to make us wait like this… Hey, Jade, let’s make up for lost time, yeah?”

“A brilliant idea, Floyd. Let’s see how long our little pearl can last. Perhaps three days should be enough to satisfy…”

You’d better not have anything planned for those next three days because they are filled with on and off rounds of sex. It brings the twins inner peace to finally slot inside you and feel your body pressed between theirs. By the end of it, your entire body is covered in bites and bruises.

(As for animal plushies for Rollo, I imagine a goat would be fitting because the City of Flowers loves their community goats and treats them so kindly. :D)

no, she is not really an animal. the reason they are related to ‘animals’ in their description, is because of the personalities i have picked out for them. bunny!reader is spoiled, prissy, soft, needy — much like a bunny, hence her nickname. kitty!reader is sleepy, often has an attitude, a little weird in nature — like a kitty. puppy!reader is energetic, excitable, loving, sensitive — like a puppy. deer!reader is skittish, easily frightened, curious, intelligent — like a deer. they are 100% human, and although i have no issue with hybrid!readers i just don’t write it! hope this clears things up.

The Stormlight Archive - Brandon Sanderson

High fantasy - Detailed world building - mental health

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

I will not be the first person to be completely taken in by the depth of the worlds created by Sanderson, but I couldn’t just ignore the huge crater they have left in my mind. I have grown to care deeply about all the characters of this series (MINOR and major), and would consider these books to be amongst my favorite reads ever. The scope of the plot is absolutely enormous yet very easily understood thanks to Sanderson's magical abilities (yes magical abilities because goodness he CAN WRITE), and i cannot wait till i've consumed every single book ever in the Cosmere.

The series follows a group of humans that come from very different backgrounds as they try to save their people, and the planet they call home from "invasion" by what is known as voidbringers. Sanderson introduces us to Kaladin (the sad wet cat baby boi we all love) as the first narrator of the books and how he struggled for years with high-borns, war, and slavery events that were responsible in part for shredding his mental health to pieces. We then meet Shallan (THE CHARACTER for me) who has evidently been through a lot (also shredded mental health) that we will slowly figure out as events unfold. Jasnah, sister to the king, scholar royalty, with most probably a mixture of some kind of shredded mental health, autism, and "aro" something that is not very clear relationship with romance. I will limit myself to these three characters because i could go on forever with every single person in this series (i am not exaggerating).

The writing style is very much accessible. I'm used to fantasy having all kinds of complicated narratives that get in the way of grasping the progress of the plot, but this series is anything but that. Every character's point of view is written in their unique sound (fascinatingly so with Shallan and her ehem buddies) and interestingly we get to experience two sides of every character, their own pov and the way other people perceive them which was very beautiful to read (and incredibly obvious with Jasnah).

These books deal with so much heavy and morally ambiguous topics in surprising detail that i felt i was reading actual events about a place that exists somewhere in our universe. Metal health, slavery, colonialism, war, religion and so so much more that i really cannot understand the power behind the creation of these books.

Most importantly, as it's something i struggled with when i first decided i wanted to read Sanderson's work, these books are very easily understood without having to read the other books in th Cosmere, but people who do will experience a much bigger world with more connections to other events, worlds and "gods" that actually reflects the scope of THE STORY Brandon Sanderson is writing.

I am definitely going to read the rest of the cosmere and will attach a youtube link to anyone interested in starting that suggests the best way to get into the Cosmere that will put events chronologically in a sense.

What A Year For Games! Top 10 Games of 2023 For Little Lesbians Like me!

I am on and off again with video games often switching between years where I am really into games and years where I am snoozing but I started to dedicate myself to finding and sharing more sapphic art so people can stop saying it doesn't exist lead me to playing tons more games and wow I played so many fucking amazing games this year it was an extremally hard year to pick a top 10 games. Now these aren't a top 10 sapphic games, it's just the best 10 games of the year, on an objective scale because I am the goddess of this world and there for right. Not all of these games will have come out in 2023, it's games I played in 2023 why limit ones self?

These games are roughly in order by how confident I am to put them on this list but each of these games did something different than me so I wouldn't say that a game is "better" rather than what I got out of it at the end of playing felt biggest.

Stray Gods

It's a musical, it's a video game, it's Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. This game is a really fun little Greek myth story telling experience with an neat interoperation of myth and the characters to provide a fun experience to people with or without attachment to the stories. The dynamic music changing to your choices is a really cool concept although I wish more of the songs were a bop. I also wish the game explored the idea of polyamory like the Greek gods were not monogamous and I see no reason I can't kiss Freddie and Persephone in the same playthrough. What is there though is still compelling, fun, and engaging with a great set of characters across the board romanceable and not.

Pokémon Emerald Rouge

Pokabbie's amazing Pokemon Rom Hack that shows the utterly wild shit possible for Pokemon experiences we could get. It's amazingly fun to do runs of Pokemon where you catch new pokemon, fight trainers and get to then recatch that species to use in later runs. It's a really great gameplay loop that really just uses what's fun about pokemon and allows for a lot of different run customization which leads to the loop not getting stale and makes it easier to find particular pokemon you want. This was my favorite Pokémon experience this year.

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 has some of the worst monetization to date in fighting games. However, despite that it provided a lot of fun to me this year playing the base game's amazing World Tour mode and in enjoying the greatly designed new characters who I hope become Street Fighter staples. All while making my favorite SF character Juri even better with new interactions, a little bit of progress to her story and more. I hope that World Tour mode encourages a lot of other fighting game devs to step up the single player experiences in Fighting games and I also hope [as seems to be the industry trend] that "modern" controls take over. It was so nice to be able to do all the special moves consistently and more easily feel like I was in control of the game rather than feeling light I was fighting my hands to move out an input.

Drums Of War

I sure do wish a Fire Emblem game came out in 2023, it's been so long since Three Houses and Hopes is amazing but not the SRPG gameplay I came to love. Well if there was a Fire Emblem game I am sure it would have ENGAGED me, wait, there was the amazing Fire Emblem rom hack Drums Of War. Parrhesia utterly killed it with this take on Fire Emblem. The heart of the story being an emotionally damaged lesbian and the dancer with a big secret who fell for her makes for an utterly captivating romance paired with a real "war is hell" story that really does it's best to show you how fucked all sides of this conflict are until the player finally gets to forge their own path forward. Roxelana and Calista would be among my most favorite Fire Emblem lords if I was ranking them alongside all the lords of the series with both characters being utterly delightful and some charming side characters too like Estrelle. The gameplay itself aired a bit on the harder side to what I like but regardless I had a great time with the majority of maps and by the end of it I think I finally managed to get with the curve of the difficulty even if I wish there was an easier mode.

Cassette Beasts

The soundtrack alone would put this game on this list but luckily it has even more than a soundtrack. The whole cast are really charming, I totally fell for Viola and the other characters all have their own special charms. The game has plenty of faults I talked about in my review of it but despite the flaws of the game basically right until the very end where it massively declined for me this was one of the best games in all of monster tamers for me. The DLC was sadly not so great that came out later in the year but I didn't mind giving the extra money to the devs when the core game was so good. The monster taming is fun, the gameplay feels flexible enough for you to find the niche you like to play in and become really good at that niche, it allows for a lot of flexibility from folks who wanna swap partners all the time to people who will find their favorite characters and monsters and stick with them. I really hope the developers keep moving forward with Cassette Beasts and making new strives forward with their concepts because of all the indie monster tamers I've played this is leaps and strides above the rest.

En Garde!

This extremally short little romp is a compelling experience that is just a little bit longer than your average modern block buster. It's a simple and sweet swash buckling game where you play as a bisexual vigilante woman with a big crush on a sexy pirate woman trying to stop the oppressor of the people's evil schemes. Each chapter is like another adventure of Zoro short and puppy, fun and with ever so slight tension but you know the hero will come up on top. It's a really good experience and it has some great accessibility features for folks with reflex issues like me to still be able to enjoy it. The music is staller, the voice acting is fantastic, it's a great package that instead of padding itself out fills every second with greatness.

Luxaren Allure

I am a massive fan of turn based RPGs, I love getting to look at menus and think about my actions, being able to multitask while I play, enjoy a big juicy narrative and so I was very happy to play a JRPG style experience that's all about lesbians. An amazingly fun concept for a JRPG plot where one woman's beloved whom she chickened out of confessing too gets corrupted by an evil power and she is tasked with being the hero to take her out. This gives the interactions and the end goal a sense of uncertainty, will this be a sad case of tragic yuri, will she find joy with someone else, will she be able to save the woman she loves from this evil power, will she submit to the evil herself to be by her side? Everything feels uncertain with just this little angle added to a fairly typical JRPG formula. All while on the side having an adorable romance between a naga and a human girl giving us the good good lesbian sweetness between the dramatic tension.

Baldur's Gate 3

I am so often the contain, the noted hater but not on this day, nay I say, it was pretty fucking fun. The game is flawed, pretty flawed, like it's got a lot or fantasy racism shit I hate, it's tied to an IP I hate, it's got so many bugs that happened on my own run but if there is one game from this list I will probably think of the most and play the most in 2024 and beyond from this year it's probably this game. The games depth of interactivity, the wide breath of options, and the mods, oh the mods, the many many many mods, this game has so much to do and will for a very long time. It's rare to get a truly great multiplayer game and this game also provides that, this is a fantastic experience for playing online with others and makes for really great runs. Then there is the romances, oh the romances are really great, the girls are all fantastic and the side queers are super brilliant too. It's just a really fun video game and it does a good job exploring trauma and different takes on abusive relationships and overcoming [or succumbing] to them.

Thirsty Suitors

What a fucking great game, while the gameplay is mostly quick time events it does an amazing job of making each aspect of the game feel distinct from each other. While skateboarding in general kinda sucks in this game the combat and cooking all feels really great. Then there is the vocal performances and writing which are all fucking stellar. It's really great to see a fully fleshed out and fully real feeling queer woman who has had messy exes of all genders and has done a lot of fucked up things in her time. Jala's road to redemption with her family and exes all feels really great and this is a special story and I realized sometime after there is some level of variance too that I could have seen if I made some different choices. It's really great and even if it's not a dating sim like I thought it might be it's still a really great little thing. Then you factor in all the cool queer brown people in this game and wow, like I felt so scene by this game like the angry mess Tyler is speaks to my little transbian heart, the high fem lesbian struggle with family that Diya has I could feel echoed in my own life, I just, wow, it was great. I am so happy this game exists and I will likely always see this among the best narratives in all video games.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood

My game of the year, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood fucking blew me away. In a shocking twist of fate while I complained about a lot of endings this year I didn't like my original ending for The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood either but then that drove me to go from liking the game to loving it as I ran the game again in spite of it, fueled by spite alone I felt a sense of determination, I would change my fate! This thematic fortune telling game where you make your own cards, help people or end up seeing a fate that only hurts them, I knew how to play it, I knew the systems now, I understood how the cards worked, the truth of my powers and the price I agreed to pay and I'd use all of that to make the happiest fucking story possible for Fortuna aka ME. So I dart through the game, I help the trans woman be herself and happy, I get my hot butch girlfriend, I help everyone out with their life problems crafting only the best cards possible to make sure I can give the best fates possible and then I hit the end point, the time to pay the price. I say no, the game says, you have to, I keep saying no, and then I draw my cards again and shape fate and in that I defied fate, made an ending I could be happy with, a better world for all my fellow witches, and so my story ends with my friends back by my side [probably gonna be a polycule] and a whole lot to look forward to. What a fucking experience, what a cool fucking game.

Summary: You go ghost hunting with Heartslabyul!

RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Riddle is not for it at all, only because of the dangers you told him about. He refuses you every time you ask until you say you're going to leave whether he'll go or not.

"Y/n, no you're not going!"

"I am, and you can stay or come with me"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Riddle only goes with you to make sure you're safe and that no one fucks with you and if they do then he can protect you. He, of course asked for Crowley's permission and waited for the go ahead, which Riddle thought wouldn't happen but imagine the shocked face when Crowley said it was fine.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ So you took Riddle's hand as he begrudgingly followed you to the location you had set out to find.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Even though he mainly went to protect you, part of him was intrigued to see what human ghosting hunting was truly like.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Riddle doesn't let go of your hand the entire time while you set up either which is sort of new to you.

"Ridde, love, I need my other hand to set this up. Can you let go please?"

"I'm not letting go, you can set up with one hand."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You managed to get him to let go, but once you finished his hand was connected with yours again, gripping a bit tighter after each evidence provided.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He did find it cute how excited you got with each event going on and all the responses happening.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He didn't show he was cared of the responses, and really he wasn't. He was only scared about your well being.

"Y/n, What's going on?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Riddle noticed you staring off into space down the corridor of the building you both were in. It took a bit for you to respond.

"Just saw a figure down the corridor. No big deal."

Riddle looked at you dumbfounded.

"NO BIG DEAL? YOU SAW SOMEONE DOWN THE CORRIDOR!"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You looked at him calmly with glazed eyes of tiredness.

"Riddle it's okay. It's the whole point. Also might want to calm down, you'll scare the ghosts."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ That's when he was so over the whole thing.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He laid you down somewhere and gathered all of the things you two brought and put them away. While he did this you said the goodbye message and the mantra of not to attach to either of you.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Riddle picked you up and carried you out of there.

"Come on, we're leaving."

You gave him a pout as you gripped him closer causing the boy to blush a bit.

"Do we have to? Me and the ghosty boy was having fun."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Riddle shakes his head as he rants about how dangerous it was and how lucky you were that he was there to help you.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He immediately puts you in to bed and cuddles next to you feeling so glad that he was there with you.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Sure he thought it was a bad idea but Riddle had to admit that it was fun to be with you and indulge you and your interests.

ACE TRAPPOLA

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He asks you want ghost hunting is since it's not something in Twisted Wonderland that is explored. It also doesn't help that the ghosts show themselves pretty easily

"Huh? Whaddya wanna go ghost huntin for? Ramshackles gotta tun!"

"It's not the same Ace! Or are you to scared?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ That's how he ended up at an abandoned location, that you of course didn't ask Crowley to go to, in the dark clinging to you.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You tease him about clinging to you but he retorts with "Noo" and "You're the one who's scared".

:🌹 ̗̀➛ The fear dies down a bit after seeing all the equipment you brought with you and saying how much of a dork you are for bringing so many things for something that's obviously faked.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You don't listen to those comments but you explain to Ace what each thing is and what it does.

"This is an EMF meter. It tracks energy currents. And this- ACE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

"Nothing, just seeing how this works."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Ace was messing with the motion sensor device with an antenna with three lights. He turned it on and was using it to make a lot of noise.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ It annoyed you to no end and it took you 5 minutes to get it back and to calibrate it properly. But you were glad he was having fun.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ As things start to intensify evidence wise, he grabs your hand and it's not because he's scared, well that's part of it, but its because he wants to make sure you're safe

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You're talking to the spirit through the spirit talker app you got on your phone and it seemed pretty tame. Ace was just watching you do your thing.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Once things start to turn dark, Ace is full on hugging you and making sure you're not to far from him.

"What are you?"

"DEMON"

"Y/N YOU BETTER START RUNNING!"

"Ace where are you going?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Once Ace heard demon from the app he booked it thinking you were holding his hand.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He stopped about halfway outside realizing you weren't with him.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Ace tries to walk in but you come out seemingly okay and unscathed.

"What the hell? Why'd you ditch me?"

"Because it said demon Y/n!"

You giggle at him

"Just because it says demon doesn't mean it's dangerous. It's okay though, everything is packed we can go home now."

"Nah. Come with me."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Ace grabs your hand dragging you somewhere.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ To recover from the fear he takes you to a decent 24/7 restaurant to chill and relax.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You both talk about the experience and what you both liked about it the most. But for Ace just being with you was his favorite part.

DEUCE SPADE

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Poor Deuce is so confused, like he understood ghosts but like the phrase 'Ghost Hunting' he thinks its something entirely different than what you mean.

"You want to hunt ghosts? Like when you hunt deer?"

"No pft, you're so silly Deuce. We're gonna go look for a location and talk to them."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ After you explained what it was to him, he was hyped because it was something new and from your world.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Deuce went to ask Crowley if it was okay for you guys to leave the campus that and the two of you were shocked he said yes, or did he?

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You both may have ignored him or convinced him to let you two go so now you're in an abandoned dark building setting everything up.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Honestly Deuce is the most trustworthy with the set up since he seems to be taking it pretty seriously.

"So when you move it slightly it'll light up, its really sensitive to touch. Understand?"

"Mhm! Mhm! What about this one? Oh and this? Where should I put the cameras?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ His excitement was kind of stressful but he just wanted you to have a good time and everything to work well since ghost hunting is sort of a skeptical thing, or so you told him.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Deuce loved to see how passionate you were about this and how serious you were, he made sure not to get spooked when a spirit answered the questions.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Though he was most spooked when the motion things were being triggered. And we would cling to you to no end.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You found it cute, but were mainly focused on the responses of the spirits or whatever was around you.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Once the REM pod went off he jumped onto your back making you fall.

"Ah! Y/n! I'm sorry!"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You giggle a bit as you hold your head making sure you didn't hurt your head to much.

"It's okay Deuce! We can leave if its to much to be here."

"I want to stay because you look so happy doing this!"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You blushed a bit. He was really so considerate of the things you wanted to do with you.

"But forcing yourself in this type of thing isn't good, just tell me when it's to much then we can leave."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Deuce nodded and you two ended up staying for another hour.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You two only left though when you began to feel drained and you had no clue why.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Deuce made sure to put away all the equipment and everything you brought while you said the goodbyes and the affirmations of not giving permission to attach to you two.

"Gosh I'm so tired.."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You then felt yourself being picked up and you looked to who it was.

"Here. Let me carry you, its not good to walk if you're wobbling."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You blushed a bit and nuzzled Deuces neck as he carried you out of the building.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ The two of you had went to Ramshackle dorm first since you were practically sleeping in Deuce's hold. He didn't want to leave you still on account of being sort of paranoid after the events.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ So he'd rather take the hit from his house warden and use the excuse of saying Crowel said it was fine. So the two of you had a sleep over.

CATER DIAMOND

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Cater is all for it. With his camera out and knowing what he wants to do, in fact you'd think he was the one who asked to go and do this.

"Of course cutie! We can go ghost huntin, as long as I can post it and your cute face to Magicam!"

"Okay! Lets go then!!"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You both might as well ask Crowley if its going to be publicly posted where he could see it but you both don't wait for an answer.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Cater is the one with the perfect location since it seems to be popular for the idea of ghost hunting, but you show him how humans do it.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ As you're setting up, Cater is putting the camera's in many different places as well as taking cute pictures of you're focused face. And he posted each one to Magicam saying "Ghost Hunting with my love" and "Cute focus face! <3".

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He shows you each picture and you're slightly annoyed because you want him to help set up, but he swayed you with his charm.

"Cater, if you're just going to take pictures, then can you help set up atleast?"

"But I am helping, I'm seeing if I can get any pictures of the ghosts!"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You just shake your head at him as he keeps taking pictures of you and only you.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ However seeing you more focused after each object being set up put him in the mood to be productive and help set up.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Cater wasn't scared, actually he was holding you when you jumped back a bit feeling spooked

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He'd giggle at your reaction to any form of evidence you two got and would film it. Often teasing about how cute you were when you were freaked out.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Then he started to become anxious when he caught a shadow figure on the camera and pointed it out to you explaining it to you.

"Rah! This is so scary!!"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You look at your dramatic boyfriend giggling a bit.

"Says the one who was teasing me. And its just a figure, you can't be scared of that"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He acts as if you wounded him, but it was all in good fun. He then pat your head as a way to calm himself down.

"Do I have to be the one to protect you know~?"

Cater blushed a bit about how smug you looked and slowly backed up a bit trying to make space between the two of you.

"N-no, I'm gonna protect you!"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You giggle at this and carry on with the reason why you were at this abandoned place.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Cater often held your hand as the investigation went on sensing you were becoming tired a drained.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He decided to end his video there and wait to edit it later, if he was ever going to and just post the raw footage. And he started to pack up.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You were confused as to what was going on, and went to ask Cater but you started to fall. Luckily the boy was able to catch you.

"Gotcha! Be careful Y/n! Don't want you to hurt yourself."

You blushed a bit as you rubbed your eyes. Cater chuckled thinking you looked so cute when you were sleepy.

"Are we going home?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He nodded at you and picked up the bag of things and you carrying you out of the building and back to school.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Cater holds you close and realizes you are sleeping in his arms. He chuckles and takes you to your dorm.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Cater cuddles you ignoring the fact that Riddle might have his head for it, but anything for you.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Trey was curious to say the least about ghost hunting, but when you proposed it you didn't expect him to go with you.

"Hey do you wanna go ghost hunting with me?"

"Yeah, I'll go."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ In all honesty you thought he would be to busy with school work and vice house warden duties to do anything, but you were over the moon about it.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You two decided to leave Crowley a note since it was late and the man wasn't in his office, and on you two went.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Trey set up most of the things, which you were grateful for, but overall you were shocked he knew what some of the things were even if it was pretty self explanatory once the things were on.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You were stuck in the middle of the room just watching your boyfriend doing most of the work which made you feel a bit guilty.

"Hey Trey, I can help set up too."

"I know, but I don't want you to worry about it."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You're heart warmed at the thought, but you pulled out your phone to bring up the spirit talker app. Trey walked next to you after he was done with everything.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Trey wasn't scared at all, like he held your hand sure but it was to reassure you whenever you got excited from a response.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He smiled whenever you were asking the entity questions and got an answer back, even if there was negative energy there.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ He was there to make sure you were safe and that nothing intended to hurt you, ghost or human or anything in between.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ So he got concerned when you mentioned you heard a voice tell you something and he didn't hear it.

"Trey did you hear that?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Trey looked at you with a curious look in his eyes, trying to listen for anything other than you two.

"I didn't hear anything love. Did you?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You nodded vigorously as you slowly felt dizzy. Trey had a look as if pleading for you to tell him what you heard.

"It said that it wanted me to stay."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You shuddered a bit feeling the negative tone from the disembodied voice. Trey noticed your discomfort.

"Do you want to leave?"

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You shook your head wanting to continue and you went off on your own a bit.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ After that he was concerned. He didn't want you to feel like you were losing your mind and it seemed like you were mentally drained.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Trey picked you up and took you out of the building so you could recover as he went back in by himself to pack everything up while you waited for him outside.

"Trey what you doing?"

You looked up to him with drowsy eyes.

"Taking you back to the dorm rooms."

:🌹 ̗̀➛ You shook your head wanting to stay but Trey convinced you to let him carry you outside as you waited for him to pack everything up. Once that was done, he picked you back up and carried you back the NCR.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Trey took you to his dorm and had you sleep on his bed while he took the couch, he didn't want you to feel uncomfortable in your low state. Even though you two cuddle a lot before this.

:🌹 ̗̀➛ Trey did have fun though and learned a lot about some things from your world.

Hello. I hope you're okay with me dumping every ounce of my adoration for you The Games of Divinity series here, because I simply cannot stay silent any longer. I read the whole thing yesterday in the span of fifty three minutes at one a.m. with my eyes barely open and a blanket up to my chin so it was truly one of those Authentic Fic Experiences TM. Your character analyses of Neuvillette and Furina? Chef's kiss. I am throwing them into a glass jar and shaking vigorously to watch them bounce off the walls. I am chewing on them like a four year old with unlimited access to a bag of Starburst and every flavour in their mouth at once. I am gripping you by the shoulders with tears streaming down my face because you have ruined every fic I read for the next two hundred and sixteen business days. Nothing will ever compare. Sanity is a long lost dream. Your AO3 account isn't a prison, it's home.

If you can't already tell, I adore your work. As a writer myself, I get gender envy while reading it. Except its writing style envy. Your use of italics for highlighting humour is wonderful. The shift in dynamic across the years with Furina and Neuvillette is masterfully done. It's hard to ship Neuvifuri because to me it's only appealing in one of two scenarios: an AU where Neuvillette knows, or one in which he begs pitifully for Furina's forgiveness after trapping her and putting her on trial without knowing what she was going through. Your fic is easily the best example of the former I've ever read. The only reason I haven't flooded your inbox with Kudos and AO3 comments is because my account is acting up and I had to read as a guest.

I love every chapter. Like actually. The first one? Seeing their initial attitudes towards each other was fascinating. The one where Neuvillette gets The Horny? Literally so funny and somehow hot as hell at the same time. The chapter from the POV of the Gardes? Hilarious and an incredibly creative way of showcasing their relationship from the perspective of an outsider. On that note, the Gardes themselves are such colourful characters, I think it's amazing how you went to the effort to give everyone such a distinctive personality. Also the scene with Xiao and Zhongli was scrumptious, that one line... "Zhongli placed a hand on the back of his neck, thumb gently kneading the soft spot where his neck and shoulder met like a man scruffing an unruly cat." That's so cute to me. Your Honour. They are so cute. And Neuvi being all baffled by himself for trying to intimidate Zhongli was endlessly amusing, especially when you said something along the lines of '"Neuvillette didn't mind being spoken of like a dog in heat, but he drew the line at barbs being aimed at Furina." You nail the dynamics every single time. Wild.

The internal conflicts of both Furina and Neuvillette are delightful as well. Furina's guilt for needing Neuvillette versus Neuvillette wishing Furina would let herself need him? Collapses. I am bleeding from multiple stab wounds. It's so eiohrohsiowiourwhrf. They're so vdhkfhoewirdkf. Neuvillette being awed by her humanity versus Furina wishing she could properly hide it. Neuvillette wishing he could share her altruism but knowing he would send a fleet to die in Furina's place even if she despised him for it. Banging my fist on the table. The intrinsic protectiveness and the guilt of needing to be protecting. Clutching my head in my hands. Tearing out my hair. Shuddering like I'm attached to an electric chair cranked up to the highest voltage.

I would suffer the trials of every hero from Greek mythology to read more of it.

Thanks for reading! Love hearing your thoughts on this; I think one of the big appeals about this pairing is crazy devotion that can happen between two people lying to God's face. It's like the greatest hits of every ship that's tickled my brain over the years and I'm glad I have an opportunity to play around with it.

About me : So technically, i am currently a drained out student (and help me school starts soon), but i am studious and hardworking! I have a strong feeling that his outer persona is your inner one, so you sort of complete eachother in a way none of you really expected.

Although it would take a while to get used to his extrovert self, since you seem to be pretty much introvert, the moment you decide you are comfortable enough you’ll see a big change. Meaning - EXPECT UNENDING AFFECTION AND CUDDLES!!!

I swear Venti wouldn’t be able to keep his hands off of you - always needs to give you reassurance and to have you close to him. Would totally do the thing where he squeezes your hand three times to silently tell you he loves you.

Would show you the most beautiful views in Mondstadt, he knows every place worth seeing and knows which one will leave you absolutely breathless.

Whether you like it or not, he will sing to you all the time. You like a certain song? Expect to hear to it singed by Venti for the next two weeks, until you physically can’t listen to it anymore.

A small issue would be that he constantly need to be around people, to interact and be present, which you’ll find a little tiring. Loves to annoy you too so he could get a reaction out of you. Don’t worry tho, he will never cross your boundaries!

Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I’d give your compatibility an 8.5 .

Diluc

The moment I finished reading about you I immediately thought that Diluc is the one.

It’s just that the two of you are fairly similar, both in the way you are around others (although you are quite a pleasant presence, Diluc is just more grumpy) and in the way you share the same wish in your heart - to be loved by someone, held amd cherished despite your flaws.

And I can say that the two of you do a pretty good job at that. Main love language between you is physical touch, since both of you are touch starved. When you are around others PDA is kept to the minimum, but when the two of you are alone HE WILL BE ON YOU ALWAYS! Holding your hand absolutely everywhere you go in the Dawn Winery and around its domain, random back hugs and normal hugs, headpats whenever he sees you around the house.

Also kisses on the crown of your head and forehead (they are Diluc’s favourite form of intimacy), which make you feel so special and seen.

He will always find time for you despite his busy schedule. His favourite activity together is reading in silence next to eachother, shoulders touching, but each doinh his own thing. He is the type of person that would put your legs over his during this to help you sitt mor comfortable. You will absolutely fall asleep in his lap like that.

Carries you to bed when that happens - no one can change my mind !!!

The two of you strike me as that couple that doesn’t really fight and not because you ignore your problems. You really don’t have reasons to fight.

jeeeeeeesus the third book in the devoured worlds series is such a mindfuck and i am loving it. seriously, if you trust my opinion on books at all—and want to devour an absolutely gorgeous queernorm science fiction trilogy (that kinda sorta maybe borders on horror and fantasy, but in a very good way) with a bi narrator (there are technically two narrators; this technicality hinges on the “interlude” chapters—but the male narrator is canonically bisexual) and an absolutely wonderful romance at its heart—read this series. i have an arc of book 3, but it comes out in may 2024 and books 1 and 2 are already out (they both released in 2023), so you won’t have long to wait and will have plenty of material to occupy you til then.

arguably my favorite part of the series is the worldbuilding bc of so many factors, but, to narrow it down to one specific thing and prevent this post from being pages long, it’s the idea of “printing.” i’m pretty sure i’ve talked about this on here before, but “printing” is essentially 3D printing a body in your “preferred print,” which can be adjusted from what you’re born in via little things (a la changing the shape of your nose) or big things (if you’re born with a penis, you can change it so your preferred print—your preferred body—has a vagina) which is a practice not only accepted but encouraged for trans people should they want to transition, and the aforementioned male narrator creates an organization to help poor people born in the wrong body print into their preferred one

but beyond that, there are so many other things that easily make this one of my all-time favorite book series ever (absolutely my only current favorite book series, to the point that i might actually reread it, which i haven’t done for any book in literal years. i only owned the ebook copies and got the print copies for Christmas so i could reread them in paperback and get everyone i live with to read them, too. that’s how much i love this book series). from the plethora of they/them characters (though admittedly i wouldn’t have minded some neopronouns; this is the future, after all) and the constant queer rep (beyond the two narrators, of the secondary characters, i’d say 80% of them are confirmed queer, while the rest either don’t have romantic relations on page and you thus can’t know for sure, or you can simply assume they’re queer in some capacity bc of context clues—a la one male character remarking on the hotness of another male character; this happened not too long ago in book 3) to the sheer brilliance of the science fiction, horror, and fantasy elements, to the fact book 1 is literally about the characters trying to figure out why an entire planet is honest to god fucking haunted, the horrific creep factor of the misprints, and the fact book 1 got me to care about a fucking spaceship beyond just that old “humans will get attached to anything” schtick (we got its pov in book 1!! i was emotionally devastated!!). plus, and while avoiding spoilers, if you like the fungus from the last of us, this series takes it a thousand steps further. and that’s not even touching on the absolutely gripping plots of all three books. i am obsessed.

and if you’re a character-driven reader like me, you’ll be thrilled that each and every character is multifaceted and endearing in myriad ways—even the shitty ones: looking at you, Fletch, and i fucking love Chiyo even with her finalizer wife—so you look forward to each and every one of them appearing on page.

MILD SPOILER: book 3 even introduces time travel, which could seem campy and ridiculous but is written in such a way that you can’t help but enjoy it. Megan E O’Keefe is fucking brilliant, my dudes END MILD SPOILER

5: rare headcanons you love?

y'know i've never really quantified headcanons into 'rare' or 'common'? i suppose 'rare' would be 'not often seen in fanon' but,,, idk it's hard for me to think of them like that. i think one i'm quite attached to that i've never seen before is davey being an avid video game enjoyer. people tend to categorize davey as this 'academic' type character who'd be very bookish and nerdy which somehow disqualifies him rfom liking video games, but speaking as a very bookish nerdy boy myself, i love video games and i know davey does too, but exclusively very plot driven games with strong narratives and lots of room for fan theories, like stray, little nightmares and the last guardian. not farming sims, though. his autistic ass cannot do farming sims or he'll forget to eat. i also personally believe that crutchie is welsh and no one will ever convince me otherwise.

6: common headcanons you love?

jack being a romantic, probably. i know the musical tries to set him up like a flirt but i just do not see it at all; i think he falls in love very easily and tries to pass it off as flirting, but that does not a player make. hcs of both jack and davey being multilingual i like, and also jack being a multimedia artist, like doing photography as well as painting - i like the idea that he can channel inspiration through a lot of different things, not just one.

21. are you writing/drawing/creating anything outside of fanfiction/fan comics? Do you have any original works?

oh davey i am so glad you asked this question - yes, i am! i have to write a creative portfolio piece twice a year for classes, and i have three working ideas (one: the Real Life manhattan, west virginia (which would preferably be a graphic novel) two: a currently untitled story about a robot built for the impending apocalypse which then malfunctions, misses the apocalypse and now has to function in a world that doesn't fit into what it was designed for (which would preferably be a television show) and three: another currently untitled story about a factory worker in victorian england whose brother tragically dies in an accident that he believes was supernatural in nature and now dedicates his life to solving (which would preferably be a novel). and GUESS WHAT i actually sent a few of the things i've written to an animation festival as part of an application process and i've since been offered a place in their creative industries and development programme!!! i'm still kind of reeling at the idea that people actually liked my story concepts so fingers crossed for me!!!

22. what is your favourite topic to write about?

in fanfiction? domesticity. i love big complex plot-heavy fics and i do have ideas for some, but i think i've built a nice nest for myself in writing slice of life fics that allow the character to get to know themselves better and allow others to know them better, too. in my original works? the opposite. i love speculative fiction, i love exploring my experiences through absurdity, i love saying 'what if this happened' and following that allllll the way through, it's the best. yes i AM a little robot who wasn't built for this world, thank you. yes i AM a little victorian boy convincing myself monsters are real so i don't have to grapple with the impending knowledge that death is not just or villainous in any way, it simply Is, WHAT is your problem? hm? hm?

Back to posting characters after a long time. Anyways, here's the fourth member of Doc's team, also the third member of the Trouble Quad, a big and brutal chlorophosian called Shirley. A little bit about her species, Chlorophosians are large, shroom-like people that live in the deepest, dark caverns in Alterra, behaving like wild troglodytes. However, Shirley was one of the rare few that met the surface of the planet. After having to escape from the underground village she lived in, due to a dimensional rift bringing a lot of lava into it, setting fire everywhere that engulfed many villagers and her biological parents into it, back when she was a little girl. While lost and sad, defending herself with nothing but a rock she found on the ground, she was eventually found by a dwarf, who then took her to safety, then decided to raise her as his adoptive daughter (even for a shroom gal that was bigger than an average 5 years old human kid) some time later.

In the first day she was brought into the dwarf's farm house, she was introduced to his brother, who used to be indifferent, and his father, who didn't like the idea, but after letting her around for a few days, the three grew attached to the little chlorophosian, and that's where they decided to make Shirley part of the family, with the girl accepting the idea right away. About 10 years later, she learned how to speak like the humanoids do, mainly like the dwarves, who spoke in a Scottish accent like every other Alterrian dwarf, even though she still has a primitive way of speaking most times, like saying "I be" instead of "I am" in some sentences. Like all chlorophosians, Shirley has her hunting instincts and a great sense of smell, which makes her one of the greatest hunters out of the family in the farm, taking advantage of it by getting rid of pests and wild animals that attack their livestock, especially by using a rake that belonged to the dwarves, but they let her use it as her own weapon, as long as she keeps doing a good work defending their farmhouse from the wild animals and thieves. More years have passed and Shirley got big and strong, gaining a muscular figure from all the workout she had to do. Eventually, everything changed when she came back from her hunting trip to find the whole farm on fire, along with symbols marked on the grass and walls indicating that it was all caused by The Cult of Zaleria (as mentioned in a previous post), as well as the death of the dwarves who failed to defend themselves, enraging the big shroom gal as she was filled with grief, taking the rake that she was carrying in her hunting trip, to look for the perpetrators with no stopping, brutally killing anyone wearing the symbol of the cult in her way. Eventually, Shirley found Doc, who had Mivia and Rukbat with him. At first, she had to fight the group with the intention to kill them, all out of stress, only to lose to them before calming down and having a talk before she joined Doc's team, getting herself a new home and eventually, new clothes: A long sleeved yellow shirt and a dark blue pencil skirt, with both getting damaged overtime and making the former look like a crop-top with short sleeves.

After Emily and her team got to meet her, she quickly became good pals of two of the former's friends, Mike and Rashi, who were admired by how brute and ridiculously brave she is. Although she is a brave one, fire is not only one of the things that she hates the most, it's practically the only thing that can easily scare her like it does with any chlorophosian, driving her nuts and causing her mushroom cap to extend and release hallucinogenic spores like in this dumb, old doodle of her below, that I made as concept.

Shirley may be brute and often yell when talking to people, but she does have an aggressive way of showing how much she cares for others, especially her friends and teammates, as she remains protective of them. She also loves to eat, but mainly any sort of meat. Oh right, about the ref image posted above, she got herself new clothes during a timeskip of 2 years after the defeat of Zaleria, consisting of same shirt but even more damage, along with a black jacket and her skirt replaced to blue shorts.

Hi! No worries, your English is more than fine! And ooh, I did have a post about it somewhere, but I can't find it to link it. I have the text from it saved, though.

So, S1 and the situation in the fandom. Obviously, the shipping was very varied at that time - you could easily find Hannibal/Alana and Will/Alana fans. Some were making bets on Hannibal/Bedelia since Bryan mentioned Hannibal getting a love interest in S2. Hannigram was there from the beginning, too.

Bryan (non)teasing Hannigram before S1 aired:

Filming a beautiful, sexy kiss between two beautiful, sexy actors on #HANNIBAL -- and it's not Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy.

Some people were hoping for some Hannigram content even before seeing a single episode. Hannigram had a small group of shippers ever since the books came out (with Hannibal being briefly drawn to Will before getting pissed off at being denied his phone number and sending Francis to attack him with his family). The movies, with all the “Remarkable boy. I do admire your courage. I think I’ll eat your heart” and “How I’d love to get you on my couch” only fuelled the shipping, even though it was never particularly large-scale. The fact that one of the promos for the show presented after the pilot entailed Hannibal sniffing Will, some people caught onto what was happening at that point already. But no one really took it very seriously, and people’s opinions differed. 

Some were swooning over Will with Alana, calling it an amazing exploration of a relationship between two mature people. Others expressed hopes that Hannibal would try to get closer to Alana to mess with Will. Some were excited to see Hannibal touching Will’s shoulder in E9 and expressing the desire to be a family with him and Abigail. A bit of discussion from those times I saved out of amusement:

Commenter 1: I thought that whole scene had a homoerotic feel to it.

Commenter 2: Gay dads. Gay dads.

Commenter 3: I thought that whole show had a homoerotic feel to it.

Commenter 4: I feel like Hannibal is sexually attracted to Will, but I might be making too many leaps here…

Commenter 5: I don’t think he is sexually attracted to Will. I get the sense that he is only sexually attracted to himself. As a pure narcissist, I don’t think he is capable of feeling attracted to another person, regardless of gender.I think his attachment to Will is based on the fact that somebody can finally understand him. I think he legitimately see’s Will as a friend.

Commenter 6: It’s great to see more of Hannibal with his own psychiatrist. The fact that he seems to genuinely want a friendship with Will seems so touching. His reaction when Will came over to his house to tell him he’d kissed Alana was priceless and almost showed a hint of jealousy (but maybe I’m reading too much into that).

Some stuff about Will and Alana:

Commenter 1:  I am so loving everything happening between Will and Alana. To have characters talk out their issues despite sexual tension, and hold off on a relationship because of them… it feels almost revolutionary in today’s television landscape.

Commenter 2: A romantic relationship would weigh down the show. They really don’t have time to get invested in that. It’s pretty obvious from an outsider’s POV that there’s a Will/Alana attraction going on, and to not acknowledge it would in some ways actually draw more attention TO it. My guess is they’re setting something up for season 2 or 3 (if we get them).

Commenter 3: At the rate he’s going, by season three Will’s going to be drooling in a mental hospital somewhere.

Commenter 4: I’m pretty glad the whole Will/Alana thing was a bust. She’s right about them being bad for each other, and I feel that if they did get into a relationship, that drama would just distract from the story. Plus Will is such a tragic character, a relationship would normalise him too much.

Mads already said he plays Hannibal as in love with Will at that point, so some took it into consideration while others ignored it. People seemed to love the show: they admired how cunning Hannibal was, worried about Will, and screamed at the finale. Many were looking forward to seeing how the tables were going to be turned, with Will paying Hannibal back. 

 People’s major theories included Hannibal seeing Will as a protege / adversary - there were even fights about it since some thought he was genuine in his care while others believed he was just playing a game; many believed Abigail was still alive; Will was predicted to spend most time in jail in S2 while being consulted; many thought Will and Hannibal would be trying to dance to one up each other next. Will’s darkness was a rare topic and no one really thought Hannigram would take the central stage in a mutually romantic way. Will’s Becoming wasn’t a common topic either - few people considered that he might start indulging in his own darkness. Many were wondering how much Bedelia knew and why Hannibal was crying about his lost Murder Family when he was the one to destroy it.

2. Least favorite main title?

i think this may upset some people but just of the games that i have finished (i havent played or finished every single fire emblem game… i know i know bad fan shut up) it’s prooobably fe7??? not because it’s bad. i do love that game. i just love it the least of every other game i played? i love all three of the lords a lot!! theyre just not my super favorites. i like the story fine, just not as much as other games. the gameplay is alright, but i dont think it’s anything to write home about. it’s a perfectly average fire emblem game all across the board i think. and that’s probably why i dont think about it too much? though, admittedly, ive only played through it fully once and that was like. five years ago? i could give it another run. i never did try hector hard mode, tbf… also huge shoutout to my lovelies sain and serra i love them so much…

4. What games do you wish to play next?

i dont know how often i mentioned it but i had a computer a while ago that just stopped working. like completely. the hardware is fine it just stopped functioning properly and ive taken it to literally every tech place and handed it to every computer junkie friend i have and nothing can fix it. and very unfortunately, it broke while i was in the middle of playing path of radiance. i dont really have anything else i can emulate it on right now, but if i could it’d be that. and of course, radiant dawn right after :)

5. What games would you reccomend to someone new?

toss up between 7, 8, and 13. they all have their strengths and weaknesses as entry points, but theyre all fairly simple in difficulty, and 7 and 13 were entry points for a lot of people who still love the game today, so theyre pretty easy to reccomend. 7 and 8 are easily accessible being able to emulate on like. most things?? even iphones with little hassle. 13 was also, up until very recently, very easy to grab off the eshop. i guess if someone asked me now compared to last year maybe i wouldnt say 13 for that reason? idk. 16* is also an option though, if only because it’s on the switch and while fairly different from the main fire emblem formula, it is VERY good at grabbing attention. im biased because i have used it to drag a friend into fire emblem hell so. i know it works. personally i’d probably go 7/13, 8, 16*, {the rest} but yeah. those four. move awakening down if hardware is an issue.

9. Least favorite character?

IN THE WHOLE SERIES??????? man… i dont know i dont really dislike a whole lot of characters? i guess the first one that comes to mind is gilbert three houses?? i understand why hes like that for sure and can sympathize but i dont know. everytime that hes on screen i just frustrated. the fact that he treats annette the way that he does bothers me a lot even if i understand why, but then theres also the added fact that he only becomes story relevant to replace dedue, who was a MUCH better and far less ANNOYING character to listen to all the time. like why would you replace one of my favorite students/retainers with this stupid little old man who i really have no reason to be attached to? you cant even recruit him during white clouds! not to mention, hes force deployed with the most garbage base stats (THAT YOU CANT CHANGE. BECAUSE. HE WASNT RECRUITABLE IN WHITE CLOUDS!!) in one of the hardest maps in the whole game in a position you CANNOT EDIT. like just GIVE ME DEDUE??????? you know, the CHARACTER I TRAINED??????? god… anyways so its probably him. this felt good actually i dislike him much more than i thought i did.

17. How did you get into Fire Emblem?

this is really embarrassing actually but when i was younger i was really into kid icarus uprising (i still am but like less so) and i reeeally loved pit like you see me with inigo now? that was pit for me back then. and i wanted more of him but nintendo was not giving me any kid icarus content, so what i looked up his voice actor instead, and i went through a lot of medias just to listen to him (did you know antony del rio did this live performance of maroon 5’s “This Love” that’s actually way better than the original? look it up) (no i dont like adam levine) but the one that stuck the most was this silly little game… you mightve heard of it its called Fire Emblem Fates. and i saw silas fire emblem and i was like WOAHHH. HES CUTE and did a ton of research on the series, having only vaguely known of it from smash bros. bought birthright, having learned it was the easier of the two paths, and then i just. entire life changed immediately and i didnt even know.

24. An FE title you wish would be remade?

all of them in order, which is what they already seem to be doing! so, ideally, fe4 next? of course my bias would LOVE an awakening remake but i dont think thats fair to skip all the other games. plus, i think there are other games that need a gameplay overhaul more. …like fe4.

29. Avatars: yay or nay?

i cant fucking stand the concept of avatars in fire emblem. i like all of them as characters. i think robin, corrin, byleth, and alear as characters (i havent played shadow dragon and new mystery sorry kris!) are fine. but i hate how theyre all implemented into all of their games, to the point where the words “byleth” and “alear” are never spoken in their mostly fully voiced games. its so fucking stupid. and then you have writing problems, like other playable characters not being able to have meaningful and lasting conflicts with the avatars because you have to be able to fuck them when the games over, or even during the game in robin and corrins case. and also the weird incest that has to happen if you want your avatar to have familial ties? god forbid people who just think camilla or ryoma are hot have to justify incest to themselves and read some the dumbest fucking s support bullshit just to have their little otome romance. and then the plot bending around them? robin i give a pass because i dont think awakening was annoyingly centered on them (the grima thing was close but for the most part the focus stays on chrom and i think thats a good thing) but as much as i love these games, fates, three houses, and engage all suffer from being a little TOO player pandering. making your character a god? really? especially when the avatar takes focus away from other potential story drivers (xander/takumi, 3h lords, engage royals) and like for what? i like all of the “avatars” as characters. but the way that theyre used and what little that usage does for any positive story impact is just frustrating!

35. What’s something you wish Intsys would just stop doing?

avatars.
