Psych (2006) au where it has nothing to do with the plot of the show but in college Shawn played in a dnd group and he bought weighted dice and he just lies about it to all of his friends and the players and they believe him because god dammit he’s just so good at lying.

Shawn didn’t even go to college but he snuck into the campus dnd group because Gus was the DM and Gus is the only one who knows that he’s cheating, but his character is really well written and because of his rolls the campaign is really productive so he just lets it happen.

But at the beginning of every session he goes “Shawn you need to stop using weighted die, it’s not ethical dnd playing and you’re going to get caught and everyone’s going to be really mad at you” and Shawn goes “okay but it’s really funny though, isn’t it?” And Gus just sighs and then they make out or something.

if you had to defuse a bomb and the way to defuse it was to find something sexualise...able? about every type of warlock patron how would you do it

easies bomb I've ever defused. I'd argue that the power dynamic between a warlock and their patron is inherently sexy. it's a Boss x employee romance but for fantasy dorks and monster fuckers. Anyway something sexy and specific about each patron type (I think I got the main types from 5e at least)

Archfey- oh so the ruler of the Fey wants me as their pawn? say less. I wanna show the king how nasty the common human folk can get

Celestial- ALWAYS sexy fight me about it. Imagine a little angel being shown the pleasures of the mortal world by their devoted warlock

Fathomless- literally your first level spell as a fathomless warlock is called Tentacle of the Deep. need I say more.

Fiend- Again always sexy. I want to grab those horns while I ride

Genie- genies almost always have those wrist cuffs or other elements of bondage in their design. hot.

Great Old One- hello more tentacles in this eldritch horror, also a lot of their spells involve reading thoughts, so the Patron can listen in on all the dirty things I'm thinking

Hexblade- ugh this one is so romantic, bound to the blade that's bound to you, having to guard your sword the thing that's supposed to protect you??? insane concept. I'm kissing the sword. Also edge play go brrr obviously.

Undead/Undying- I'm combining these two YES I KNOW THEY'RE DIFFERENT but they're both sexy because Vampire lords can be in these categories. if you don't know how badly I want to fuck vampires idk what to tell you, look at my blog for a few more seconds and you'll piece it together.

Saying that in the relationship of a cleric and the gods does not have to start on the part of the gods, i think is not only nice because its subversive of general dnd stereotype but allows the reflections of complexity of real life, our daily lives, to really come through. We are more powerful than we think. We can harness out own spirituality and soul and power and extend it to others through empathy and action and love. Understanding our connection with the world around us is messy and tricky and hurts.

"I thought Riz would've made a better candidate" so did Sklonda, so did KipperLily, in all likelihood so did BRENNAN. But Riz doesn't agree!!!

And it's such an amazing character choice! Riz doesn't have time to fight against KipperLily's campaign and show her that her idea of "unfairness" is ridiculous, he's too busy flooding his schedule with meaningless extracurriculars so he can get into college.

And I'm actually so proud of him for that. He's got his sights set on his future, he doesn't have time for high school politics. (Until he does, because Kristen wants to do this, and Riz loves Kristen, and work is love.)

emu is a bard. idk what else to say to that. she plays kazoo. any time she casts a spell she gets to make funny noises which is the best thing ever to her

tsukasa wanted to be one too untill he chose paladin because he learned he can both be a cool hero with a sword AND have magic (he put his highest stat as charisma without even thinking about how the game works because "its just like him fr")

rui is the dm but if he was a player he would probably be an artificer for obvious reasons

actually scratch that rui is a sorcerer 100%. ive changed my mind. or a multiclass of both. but more sorcerer.

nene is the only one besides rui that actually knows how to play well so she has the best thought out character in terms of build, i can see her playing either a rogue or warlock. maybe multiclass of these 2. cant explain why just vibes tbh.

nenes the strongest but struggles with breaking character because rui (as an npc) keeps suggesting ridiculous ideas to emu and she wants to go along with them no questions asked. tsukasa isnt pleased with this either but he plays along anyway because its harmless and makes emu and rui happy. nene after some time just starts going along with this too but is always careful and weary just in case.

emu is constantly confused about the rules and before anything she does she confirms with nene, which she happily helps her with and is also probably the one keeping track of emus spell slots cause those are most confusing for her.

tsukasa keeps showing off to any npc that compliments him and if they dont get a rest hes out of spells slots before a battle can even start (his character gets more humble as the game progresses since at the start he didnt know spells can run out so quickly)

rui is enjoying the chaos hes creating because everyones having fun and uses the game as inspo for their next play :3
