“Lady Edelgard, I don’t think it’s wise for you to get so soft and emotionally attached to our classmates. No, I am NOT getting attached too, I’m merely using our peers to further our own ambitions. That’s why I’m giving Caspar a pep talk and letting Dorothea give me a cute nickname without complaint, it’s just to improve morale. Excuse me a moment, I need to pin flowers on my cloak because it makes Bernadetta feel more secure and buy fancy tea for Ferdinand so I can give it to him while blushing. All for our ambitions. I am so smart and cold hearted and I don’t need anyone. I passed out yesterday from working too hard and Linhardt had to carry me to the infirmary.”

This is incredibly random but love your writing and this is the first time I’ve ever sent an ask but I just wanted to share. I was joking around with my boyfriend about what we thought about some of our favorite fe3h men and their taste. I offer you, Felix, Sylvain, and Dimitri are all tit men. On a sliding scale of smaller to bigger. My boyfriend also jokingly said Felix’s taste was “tiny annoying women”. Which he means affectionately as Felix S supports some of his favorites. He also said Ferdinand and Claude are ass men. Would love to hear your thoughts HAH love to read your writing and I hope you have a lovely day 💕
Well would you look at that, it is headcanon break time! As always, no clue if any of these takes are hot, but here's what my dumb and rotted brain has to say bout this.
((edit - literally forgot that we've learned that Rodrigue is currently still happily married while writing this lmao whatever, disregard canon, fuck dilfs))
FE3H guys fav part of fem/AFAB Reader-chan's body
NSFW 18+ V
Dimitri - Agreed, way into tits, loves that you can embrace him and hold him while he kisses and sucks on them, loves being near your chest and hearing your heartbeat
Dedue - Ass man through and through, loves just filling those big hands of his with your ass and pulling you against him. He has a habit of staring at it when he's horny but doesn't want to bother you.
Felix - Easily flustered by all sorts of aspects of your body, but the tits are definitely way up there, as you say. He tries not to admit it because you can so easily hear him panting and see him blush when he plays with them.
Sylvain - Loves it all tbh lol- more specifically though, I think he genuinely loves getting to see and pleasure your pussy, and the soft, plush skin of your inner thighs and lower lips.
Ashe - Adores to tenderly kiss along the smooth skin of your back and shoulders and watch the way your spine arches when he makes you feel really good. It's subtle, but incredibly intimate.
Hubert - Your expressions, with special attention payed to your lips. His arousal is very psychological, so he wants to see you pleading, panting, blushing, the whole nine yards.
Ferdinand - Partially agree with 'ass' here, but imo, it's more about the hip/upper thigh area. He likes to watch your body move and the way the softness of your hips presses into his hands.
Linhardt - Tits, one hundred percent. He wants to use them as a pillow, surrounded by your scent while he caresses and buries his face in them.
Caspar - Ass, and loves to fuck you as hard as he can (which is damn hard, btw) so he can see it jiggle and bounce against him. Habitually grabs a handful of it for leverage to get nice and deep.
Claude - Also a hard agree on this one, definite ass-man, and will shamelessly grab it and give it a nice squeeze when he's feeling feisty. Definitely appreciates the overall physique though.
Lorenz - Legs, it's all about the legs. He wants them wrapped around his head and fucking suffocating him while he goes down on you, or trembling while you cum. There's something so elegant about the curves of your legs that he's obsessed with.
Raphael - Tits for sure- he likes cradling you against him on his lap to kiss you and suck on your breasts. Having you against him like this just emphasizes how big he is compared to you.
Ignatz - He's got broad tastes, but focuses a lot on movements, especially of your hips and your hands. Watching you stroke his cock or masturbate for him makes him positively desperate.
Seteth - As a man of intellect, age and experience, he's another who can appreciate a range of things, but ultimately I think it's kissing your breasts and especially your nipples that really riles him. He loves to know he's touching you in a way that you like.
Jeritza - He loves to kiss and bite your stomach. The softness and unexpected sensitivity is addicting, and he loves to leave bite-marks there knowing that only you will know they're there.
Yuri - Your hands, your neck - surprisingly erotic spots where he can feel your pulse while he makes your heart pound with deep, erotic kisses and playful bites.
Balthus - Another ass-man- like Caspar, he loves to fuck you deep and hard from behind and watch your ass bounce in response. He can definitely get into spanking you if you're into that.
Jeralt - Thighs specifically. He loves the way they squeeze around his hips when he pushes really deep and you're trembling from the stimulation, and likes to hold onto them while he fucks you.
Rodrigue - Tits, but especially your nipples. He adores feeling them stiffen against his tongue or between his fingers, the adorable and erotic way they respond to his touch.

It's even more embarrassing that Edelgard never wins in Hopes against at least the Alliance (until Claude gets the intelligence debuff of the century) because it's literally the smallest and militarily weakest region of all of Fodlan (and in GW it's simultaneously worrying about Almyra at that). It literally just took Claude with an intact brain to fend off nearly half of Fodlan's territorial landmass, because Edelgard is just THAT incompetent as a leader.
I mean, props to her for actually admitting she had a huge flaw and for finding solutions around it (in the worst way possible lmao) but holy SHIT. I get she wasn't really trained for this sort of thing being the 9th child in line for the throne and all but Hopes really does make her look so incapable of doing anything without others doing the heavy lifting.
Yeah, and I feel like she's at odds a lot with Hubert in Hopes in terms of strategy. She seems to trust him more in Houses, so I'm not sure why they made it seem like she was more impulsive in Hopes? I could chalk it up to saying maybe it's because she's younger ands hasn't been able to adjust to her role as much, but Hopes is full of her doing dumb thing after dumb thing.
I think the Alliance had the benefit of Claude's strategies being listened to, because like I said, I feel like EdeIgard was too impulsive and it caused her to lose in contrast to CF (because even in SB she can't actually win any of her battles ultimately, such as winning the battle but not the war against Claude and needing Claude's help to handle the Kingdom and yet still technically failing to defeat the Kingdom because Claude wasn't there to wipe out the power of the nobles like she would have been).
She definitely does look incapable in Hopes but I'm at least glad that they made results befitting that. For example, in SB she doesn't actually win the war at any point. She can't deal with the Alliance for one, so I'm not sure what made her think she'd be able to take on the Kingdom... but seeing as she couldn't do that either, it's another loss. Even though you fight against Rhea and Thales, she still doesn't actually defeat either of them.
In GW she not only loses to Claude but needs his army to help her (and again, still can't deal with the Kingdom), and basically leaves Claude to take care of the entire Church and not just Rhea. Mind you it's not like she lends him her personal aide like say, Claude does for Dimitri in two chapters of AG plus giving you several of his most trusted allies and helping Dimitri's army in the background. In fact, she also ends up needing to be legitimately saved by the weakest army in Fodlan.
Then in AG the whole Empire goes to shit because she, again for this route, attacks the western front (not sure why she was going after the most heavily defended area in the country in every route instead of looking for a weaker area to gain a foothold first?) with apparently (?) no regard for what Thales might be doing, so he gets a leg up on her and catches her off guard.
On one hand, the routes are definitely consistent with her, but on the other... I'm surprised they actually made her so outwardly incompetent. Then again, I kinda wonder if the point was also in part so that everyone else would come to save her or something, like how Dimitri defends her in AG when Thales shows up, or how Claude decides to save her because lelzies ig. Like, the game does kinda set it up where she's always in a bad position and in two routes could possibly die but has to be saved by her enemies. It makes it seem like everyone loves her, even her enemies, which is kinda dumb.
Not sure what they were trying to do there; if they were trying to make her seem oh so good by having everyone want to save her, or just making it a point to write her as just consistently unable to hold her own in her war.
Also kinda funny to me how she solidly loses to Dimitri in every route, because even in SB she aims to "hunt him down" and defeat him but he still escapes jdghdgs. In GW you literally have to save her from being defeated by him. In AG wah wah.

Azure Gleam Ch 2
Finally got to the Blue Lions route in my Three Hopes Warriors all routes playthrough. All spoilers kept below the cut.
FINALLY picking my boys and girls!
It's so funny. The last time I made this choice, I didn't really care too much one way or another. And now I have so many opinions and biases lol.
Yuck. Jeritza. Ugh, but I don't want him anywhere near the Blue Lions.
Awww, the Lions are giving us a welcome feast! The other houses didn't do that lol.
Not Ingrid calling Felix out for being rude, lol.
No, Dimitri, don't trust Jeritza's judgement. Don't.
Oh, shit, Mercedes in this class. Does she know? Or suspect? How awkward for both of them.
Jeritza's a comically awful teacher.
Ashe's like - we need to protect the village! Felix is like - easy picking to kill, let me at them.
Oh, the only house to assume it may be a trap that it's so quiet? Am I right on that?
Dedue being like "stay behind me, Dimitri" Felix has "you're trapped in here with me" energy lamo. I love this group so much.
BATTLE
Time to go save Monica again lol.
Man, I love getting to play as the Blue Lions. Dimitri is a lot of fun to use so far. I'm surprised they didn't give us Felix though. Probably because he's a sword like Shez.
Dimitri MVP. Yeah, this won't be the last time lol.
OMG I got so many new weapons this time. I don't think I got as many on the other routes?
STORY
Dimitri low-key recognized TWSITD, didn't he?
Man am I glad these routes split a lot sooner. This is the third time I've heard this dialogue about Monica and Tomas and etc . . .
Yeah, Arval 100% has ties to TWSITD
Dedue be like - "it's hard to imagine someone in the monastery is working against us." Have you SEEN Hubert? Not that hard.
Golden Deer House - should we suspect the lunch lady??? Blue Lions House - asking about how long Tomas has been working here, why kidnap a student, what made him hate the church? But this is the house of jocks and dumb people . . . sure.
Tomas transformation time again lol.

S Plays Golden Wildfire - Part i'm going to hate this aren't i
Chapter 14 - A Symbol of the Past
Story Content
Oh. Oh boy. I'm about to get the deranged dimiclaude scene aren't i.
NOW WAIT. NOW HOLD ON. DOES NOT LETTING JUDITH DIE TRIGGER CLAUDE TURNING HIS BACK ON MISS CONQUEROR? FUCKFSLGJRLIHT IF I'D KNOWN THAT I WOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE KINDER TO CLAUDE'S MENTAL STATE
Lorenz suggested they leave Edelgard to fend for herself and let the Empire fall. Claude says the last time he tried to get crafty with the Empire, it resulted in Judith dying, so he won't make the same mistake again.
fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuck
though i guess i was trying to go full send on making claude the worst possible version of himself, so this tracks actually.
Count Ordelia thanks Claude for ending the fight with the Kingdom (Lysithea/Claude A support). And, WOW, it's almost like that was a BAD IDEA!
Wait wait waaaiiiit this route is really going to end before we take out the slitherers? Who wrote this CF-esque bullshit
CLAUDE IS COMPARED TO HUBERT LIKE THAT'S EVEN SLIGHTLY A GOOD THING.
Oh? It seems like a storybook here is based on Tiana and the king of Almyra!
Marianne I love you but I'm going to need you to shut up for a second:
"I'm still hesitant to say Lady Rhea is outright evil. But that doesn't mean I approve of her methods, considering how divided each region has become over the faith."
She literally stays out of their business until they make an attempt on either her life or the monastery. They're divided because they've decided they had to become something different! THE SOUTHERN CHURCH WAS LITERALLY EDELGARD'S DOING! But of course, if she'd tried to mediate/guide any more, she would have been labelled some sort of power-hungry monster. I fucking hate this route.
Lots of allusions to the Kingdom falling. I can try and tee-hee this away but if Claude actually topples the Kingdom trying to get to Rhea . . .
IGNATZ>FGLSKFG
He's being straight-up fucking delusional? "I can hardly believe Edelgard is counting on us to save her. I'm honestly happy to hear that. It means she trusts us . . . That she considers us her friends." [i tell him that's not at ALL what is happening here] "Even so, she still believes we'll come to her aid. I was so relieved when Claude said we were going to Garreg Mach."
The Deer's trio (Claude, Hilda, Lorenz) are talking with each other in camp and Claude says he's reluctant to consider them the enemy, even if that makes him naïve; I can only assume he's talking about the Kingdom?
Uuuhhhh i think "unifying fodlan" is the right answer to Lysithea's question about what it would take to drive out the slitherers. which is. Uh. (I say this because I chose the other option, which was simply "bring the war to an end" and Lysithea was like "sure, but that's not enough.)
what is WITH the deer this route. Why were they shafted so hard.
Holst says in his A support with Claude that the plan is to overthrow the kingdom. Was it not to get the kingdom to hand over rhea? So, Claude, because your asinine plot didn't work (again), you're going to ruin the kingdom to get at one woman who he WILL HAND OVER if it means you leave his kingdom alone? (And, mind, even if Claude didn't hear that directly from Dimitri, that's exactly what he was banking on. So now he's willing to work with Her Majesty instead and topple the kingdom . . . ) I can't tell if this guy's dumb or heartless.
Losing actual literal years off my life.
Nader being welcomed among their ranks is something that happened in Houses, not to mention all of the non-Fodlan natives that were kicking around at Garreg Mach that still happened in Hopes, so for Claude to be all "but the Church preaches a very different vision [from a world that would let that happen]" is FUCKING INSANE
Claude is just spouting the same incorrect bullshit I don't have the mental bandwidth to type this out. All I have to say is: I have no sympathy for a war effort mounted on partial, damaging information. I didn't have it for the emperor, and I don't have it for him.
Claude is bending over backwards trying to get Edelgard to turn her ire away from Dimitri and the Kingdom.
His evidence for one theory: Dimitri gave me a certain vibe.
You think I'm joking? > "But that's the impression I got when I saw Dimitri on the battlefield."
Anyway the plan is still for Edelgard to take control of Faerghus so fuck these two actually. Does this woman not know how to leave sovereign countries alone.
Main Battle
OH BOY. all right. time to go . . . fuck up the monastery i guess. (i'm supposedly defending it. doesn't feel like defending it)
I have to escort Edelgard to the front lines but she IS WALKING IN CIRCLESSSSSS QUEEN CAN YOU JUST--CAN YOU RUN PLEASE?
...............I think she's avoiding the ground that's on fire. Are you fuckingggg serious right nowwwwwwww IT'S A LITTLE BIT OF FIRE
Misc.
Dimiclaude counter: 2. Claude says that sparing classmates applies to Dimitri too.
CLAUDE CONFIRMS HE'S JACKED. GOD BLESS. Excursion dialogue, "I bet you think I'm pretty scrawny. Don't worry, I got plenty of muscle under here.")
next one is probably the last chapter!

didn't get to do this for the blue lions because i was busy when their trailer came out but here's my thoughts on the black eagles' reveal trailer
link here if you've yet to see it
something about "do it, hubert!" keeps making me laugh idk what it is but i find that funny
dorothea's new hair is pretty! minimal changes but i do like the braid along the side and i'm headcanoning that petra did that for her. the music notes in her attacks!! i like that a lot!!
"you look amazing even when you're fighting dorothea!" IS I AM BANGING ON YOUR DOOR WHERE'S THE A SUPPORT. WHERE IS MY BERNIE AND DOROTHEA A SUPPORT I WANT IT NOW. anyway bernie's hair looks stupid but i mean that as affectionately as possible. it's cute in that it's dumb and i've almost definitely done that exact same thing too on a lazy day.
FERDIE'S STUPID LITTLE MID LENGTH HAIR!! I LOVE IT!! IT'S THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF DUMB AND PRETENTIOUS COMBINED!! AND HE SAID THE THING!! HE IS FERDINAND VON AEGIR!!
caspar looks like a porcupine lmao he and sylvain need a support group for the hair. "nothing can stop me! well, unless you bring my father to the fight." that's so funny caspar i love that
PETRA!! HER HAIR!! I'M ACTUALLY IN LOVE WITH HER SHE IS MY EVERYTHING <3 SHE'S SO SPEEDY TOO!! and the "lend me your wisdom!" "as long as that's all you want" exchange brings me life i love these two so much
lin's hair is the dumb little ponytail i was hoping for!! "behold! a token effort!" is probably the best line in this whole thing lin you're my everything

Ship bias Hapi and Beruka please!
✶ @blairscorned › send ❛ ship bias ❜ & i will share up to 5 ships i have a bias for for my muse!
somehow, this ask made me think hapi/beruka could be a thing if beruka was in fe3h… (´・` )♡
◦ hapi ›
01.) hubert — similar to yuri, i also shipped hapi with hubert before i even shipped her with any of the ashen wolves, like a day after the cindered shadows dlc dropped. i think hapi finds his spookiness dumb in a charming kind of way, and i felt from the get-go like he’d be obsessed with trying to help her either get rid of the sighing spell or use it to her advantage. three hopes expanded on him wanting her to sigh more in combat because he thought it’s what she wanted, and he respected her decision not to, like the gentleman he is. also, coffee parties.
02.) yuri — i mentioned it in another ask about yuri’s ships, but their dynamic felt the most natural among the ashen wolves for me. a true friends-to-lovers dynamic that really clicked well and was satisfying.
03.) constance — they’re so stupid funny together, i love how they’re just always thinking of each other and hanging out in their free time. ugh, and the way coco just stands up for hapi to other nobles! it’s swoon-worthy, it’s beautiful, and obviously hapi would ruin anyone’s day if they messed with her coco. i do think they’d be prone to petty arguments, but that’s kind of fun, since they sound more like an old, bickering couple.
04.) hilda — i have no idea where this one came from, but i always liked the idea of the both of them immediately being interested in one another after balthus introduces them. the banter would be cute, and hilda fawning over dressing up hapi in pretty outfits is a super adorable thought.
05.) marianne — she believes she’s cursed, hapi actually is cursed, and it’s related to demonic beasts. there’s something soft and cathartic, and maybe a little tragic about the two of them together.
◦ beruka ›
01.) camilla — words cannot express how much i love these two together. the fact that beruka was assigned to kill camilla, but failed her mission simply because camilla asked her to work for her instead… shut up, it’s love! as asocial as beruka is, she does genuinely come to love and respect camilla, and it’s evident camilla feels the same, regardless of if those feelings are familial, platonic, or romantic.
02.) oboro — it’s hard to get the full extent of how tragic their connection is in their supports, but i imagine it must’ve taken so much more resolve for oboro to forgive beruka after her parents assassination, and for the two of them to build up an actual trusting friendship that could lead to something more. slowburn at its core, i love it.
03.) laslow — beruka? falling for laslow’s skirt-chasing shenanigans? still not very likely, but them slowly falling for each other while beruka was stalking someone and laslow interrupted each attempt with date suggestions is golden. top tier romantic-comedy material. i’d watch it if it was a movie, and i usually don’t like rom-coms!
04.) niles — he’s a fucking slime ball, but i do think he actually cared about beruka, and vice versa. they’d make each other worse instead of better, both intentionally and unintentionally, but it really just works so well.
05.) peri — another example of a duo who make each other worse instead of better, but somehow, i think their childhood traumas would bring them close. and i love the contrast of how stoic beruka is versus peri just being batshit insane. they’d be the most adorable pair of girlfriends.

Finish SB. I think SB story is better than AG. I don't know maybe because I skip like 50-60% of the story so this time I have much better experience than AG story. (In the end fire emblem story always great when I skip it lol)
A little bit comment for SB characters
Edelgard : she is more normal than I expect. Doesn't feel any change with 3houses edelgard. I use her since she is the lord and exclusive to SB.
Ferdinand :The cool thing about ferdinand in 3houses he is more humble in post time skip. In 3hopes he just academy ferdinand all the time. I use him a lot because I like 3houses ferdinand.
Caspar : don't know. He is annoying. I can't stand his voice in battle. Honestly 3houses caspar also annoying and I often benched him. Also His armor design is confusing. Why 3 gauntlets instead of 4 gauntlets? Mostly being Lin adjudant. Definitly want to trade caspar with leopold
Hubert : Always great. He seems more relax than 3houses hubert. His threat is harmless than 3houses hubert. I use him as edelgard or ferdinand adjudant
Linhardt : My boy never wrong even if he is wrong then it is the world's fault. I use him a lot because I love him. Sadly he died in final chapter because of my mistake. No problem tho I just got him in GW.
Monica : Ah yeah the simp. Hate at the first sight. At least she is capable to do some paperworks so credit for her to reduce hubert's stress. I trained her a little bit because I want to beat her paralogue.just that.
Petra : I think people overhype her support with caspar. I just think that's dumb move for a queen and hostage. I always feel bad for her tho. That's why I think she should get out from adestria. I use her for couple chapters and paralogue.
Bernadetta : Say what you want about bernie's C support but at least she growns up in 3houses post time skip. Major downgrade. I use her for paralogue
Manuela : Her support conversation is so funny. Sadly I cannot she her more mature side in 3hopes. But I think this is the problem with church character in 3hopes, they got shaftted. I use her tho probably 50% of battle. Much better unit than 3houses.

Ok but what if instead of being forced Hubert is actually very enthusiastic about being the Egg incubator? Like there is no reason for him to not be affected by the Egg, and what if he made a deal with the Egg so it gives his a womb so he and Billiam can have babies and in return he would also carry the eggs.
Still dubcon because he is under the influence of the Egg but he is happy about it, just a dumb little thing that can only think about being filled by his lover and the entity they both serve
I love that idea even more!! Hubert is just happy to lay eggs for Billiam all year round. Just be filled up constantly. And Billiam would enjoy filling Hubert up who looks so happy and out of it each time Billiam touches him and forces his big dick deep inside of Hubert's womb! :)
They get a lot of cursed , monster kids and Hubert loves all of them!

I remember seeing this theory that Ionius might have been in league w/ Those Who Slither well before Edelgard was experimented on and when he failed at consolidating power the Slithers killed/replaced Arundel to get ahold of Edelgard and experiment on her to create the ultimate emperor to topple the church (and that Ionius was compliant in this and just lied to Edelgard to help form her into someone to topple the church bc if he couldn't have all power over Fodlan then he'd leave an heir who could)--this theory suggested the other noble houses were threatened by the Slithers (which is...somewhat backed by Hubert and Hanneman's supports if you're generous with the interpretation); I'm not doing the theory justice, it was written in much clearer words, but that was the gist and like, it almost explains the uh...utter mess of Edelgard's family and whatever the fuck is going on with her writing, but as you're analysis of her family and the compare/contrast w/ the Nohr siblings shows, 3H's writing is just...a mess. I love deeply analyzing game writing and lore, esp. when there's so much potential for a deeper and interesting thread behind the narrative, but w/ 3H sometimes I have to step back and remember that the writing really is just sloppy and that things were added in last minute or not at all (the translated interview with some of the writers gives me a headache, as a creative, bc why would you be that careless with your own writing). Anyhow, I admire your continued analyses of all things FE, despite the bad writing of some of the games.
That's another theory I can get behind! Because unless Ionius is fucking blind (or some foul play happened along the way) Lysithea says that "pale skinned mages" were sent by the Empire to conduct experiments on the Ordelia household. So he might have been working with them and lied to Edelgard. God, I want the writers to do another interview or release some notes or something to untangle some of this mess. I might look for that theory soon.
And yeah, it's just... 3H is in such a weird position for me. I love the character writing for starters (I think supports are the best written part of the game) but the story writing, logistics of things and basic foundation puts me through a rollercoaster.
I've said enough about the game's Show vs. Tell problems to last a lifetime. I hate that Rhea is put on a bus in 3 of the routes when she's supposed to be an extremely important character. 2 of the routes which explain the true history of Fodlan have the explanations come in the form as lore dumps at the final chapters and lore dumps are just bad, especially since it gives no characters besides Claude the chance to react to the reveals. Characters we're told are important but are never seen, and unlike the writers, I don't think it makes the world feel bigger, I think it's almost comical (and dumb) that the party keeps just missing Count Bergliez and Holst for example, and that gets worse when we do get to see/meet NPCs who are little more than bit players in the grand scheme, like Annette's uncle or Baron Ochs.
Edelgard's Brady Bunch family is just another layer of "What?" on top of it all, and what gets me is just how ludicrous it is. I can suspend my disbelief for a lot (just look at how much I brush aside Valla's magic plot stuff lmao) but the idea of 10 royal children being killed/disease ridden/rendered crazy and no one else seeming to know about it or give a shit with no clear explanation as to why is personally too much for me to let go. Especially coming after Fates and Echoes which both did similar plot points but the former had clear reasons why the concubine feuds were kept out of public eyes and the latter had the general public aware that Lima's heirs died and executed.
3H just has so many details that should be important-and sometimes are treated as such-but are left weirdly ignored, even against all reason. The game needed a few more months in the oven IMO, if only just to sort out things like that. If I remember right, in the interview they said the game became it's own beast of sorts? And I'll never forget them saying something like "there's not even one person among the team that knows everything." Like... that's not impressive to me, that's a sign that the plot seems to be getting out of control.

Hi there! I’ve been sitting on a prompt for a while because I was too shy to send it in for some reason. But I thought it might be something you could have fun with so… here we are! How do you think say, Seteth, Hubert and maybe Felix or Dimitri? Whoever? would react to the trope of “my love interest has been turned against me somehow and is fighting me outside of their control”? Do any of them struggle with it or just… take them out, haha. Feel free to delete if it doesn’t seem interesting to you though! Have a great day 🌈
Okay well this has been kicking around in my box and technically it's way farther down the list, but it's interesting and I am a sucker for this trope, so let's talk headcanons~~ (choosing the first three to hold myself to my own "three character limit" rule lol)
Oh also CW for the fact that Felix is a dumb dumb who only knows how to fix things by fighting, so if the idea of him solving this problem by fighting Reader-chan upsets you, feel free to skip his section
Seteth, Hubert, Felix (FE3H) x GN Reader
SFW
Seteth:
- This is something that affects him in a uniquely powerful way- he's a protector and nurturer at his core, and genuinely cannot bring himself to hurt you, even when you point your weapon towards him. Honestly, he likely wouldn't even fight back if you were attacking him of your own free will- but knowing that you don't have control of your actions, he's even more determined to reach you in some other way.
- It'll start with him just blocking and deflecting blows. He's strong enough in his own right, he can hold you off by blocking with the pole of his lance for quite some time. But under a supernatural influence, time goes on, and you don't seem to tire, even as you slowly wear him down. The longer this goes on, the more desperately he pleas with you to regain your senses. Then, when he's lost the strength to defend himself any longer, your attacks begin to land. Seteth takes blow after blow, blood seeping through his robes, and still he refuses to retaliate. He resolves to take the abuse for as long as his body holds out.
- The only way this will resolve is with a bit of the ol' power of love. It's a grueling and exhausting exchange, and by the end, Seteth has dropped to a knee before you. But as you raise your blade to strike, he wraps his arms around your midsection and buries his blood-stained face against your clothes and makes one final plea, begging you to come back to him, repeating over and over that he can't hurt you. When you come to, he's barely conscious, but manages a smile when he sees the life and warmth return to your eyes before falling unconscious at your feet.
Hubert:
- Hubert is someone who's accustomed to "doing what must be done"- but that's precisely why he's so shaken by the fact that, though you lash out at him with all your strength, he hesitates. He's never felt conflicted in this way before, and never balked from doling out punishment to anyone who stood in his or Edelgard's way. But now, it's you, and he finds himself subconsciously missing his shots, spells going wide and barely grazing you as he backs away from your attacks.
- It will take some doing, as he's not one to get caught in melee combat often, but he does eventually manage to seize and bind your wrists, magically immobilizing you. If it's a spell that's turned you against him, he'll set to work finding a way to counter it, even if you lash out and fight your bindings as he works, his focus is unshakeable. When Hubert has a task, he's an unstoppable force.
- When you slowly, hazily return to your senses, Hubert remains stoic at first. He interrogates you with personal questions until he's certain that you have control of your mind once more- then, quite suddenly, he embraces you tightly, and you can feel him trembling.
- He doesn't allow himself to be sentimental for long though. Before long, he'll begin planning his revenge on whoever caused this. Interestingly, he specifically requests that a skilled healer be sent along with him. When pressed, his eyes darken and he replies, "I plan to wring several lifetimes of pain from whatever remains of the wretch who did this to Y/N."
Felix:
- Oh this poor man. He's completely caught off guard- he knows how you fight when you spar, and he knows immediately that this is different- you're aiming to kill. It shouldn't be different from any other battle, and at first, his instincts treat it much the same. He fights back with all of his strength, pulling no punches. But the longer the fight goes on, the more the sight of your cold, distant eyes bores a hole through his heart.
- He tries calling out to you, disarming you, outmaneuvering you, all to no avail. Whatever is compelling you now has a complete hold on your mind and body. So, with no other options, Felix knocks you out by force, grimacing and flinching with each blow he's made to inflict on you. By the time you finally collapse into his arms, he realizes that his face is dampened with tears that he doesn't remember shedding. To be honest, he doesn't consider himself worthy of the tears themselves.
- Felix gets you to a healer immediately, and he'll stay at your side for the entire process. But the moment you begin to regain consciousness, he turns and leaves. As far as he's concerned, now that he's hurt you, regardless of the reason, he can't allow himself to be near you ever again. It's going to take some time chasing him down, and a lot more time spent convincing him that you know that he had no choice, and that it wasn't actually you that he was attacking. His stubbornness only begins to melt when you throw your arms around him and hold him close to you, and you feel his body relax against yours.

Stuff I read (and liked) this year
As promised, here’s a list of the novels, comics, manga, etc... I read this year, focusing on the ones I enjoyed and would recommend to people. Under a cut, this is going to be a little long.
-------- Books --------
Favorite book of the year: Stranger in the Woods, by Michael Finkel
Non-fiction. Based on the interviews of the man himself by the author, it is about a man who felt so unfit for society he decided one day to leave it, and spent the next 28 years as a hidden hermit in forest in Maine. The book details how he survived there, how he was eventually found, and some of his reasons for doing so. It’s a great reflection on the nature of loneliness.
Indian creek, by Pete Fromm
...Yet another detailed tale of living alone in the woods. This time, the diary of a student who spent a winter in the mountains to help tend for salmon hatchlings, and how he spent the rest of his days hiking, hunting, meeting the locals. It’s a fun little book who, being set almost the whole world away from where I live, was a nice way to travel.
Howl’s Moving Castle, by Diana Wynne Jones
I don’t feel the need to explain this one since everyone and their mom has seen the movie adapted from it. The book, that I first read a decade ago before I actually watched the film, is a less romantized, more spirited telling of the same story. The writing is absolutely delightful and so is the world it paints, and it’s the first time in ages a book had me laughing out loud during my entire read.
-------- Comics (BD) --------
Favorite comic of the year: Monsieur Désire?, by Hubert and Virginie Augustin
A discreet young woman becomes a maid for a decadent, unbearable, byronesque young lord. Caked in the rigid and oppressive social hierarchy of the victorian era, you follow a mental and verbal joust between the two, as the lord tries his best to offend and corrupt his new unrelenting servant, to little success. The writing and especially the dialogues were stellar, drawing me into the tense atmosphere, watching this trainwreck of a character flamboyantly destroy himself. While there’s no precise content warnings that I can give, this is a mature and heavy story.
World of Edena, by Moebius
Anyone who’s followed this blog for over a month knows how much of a Moebius fan I am. Edena combines the vague, dreamlike, wordless storytelling from stuff like Arzach or The cat’s eyes with an actual plot. While I haven’t completly finished the story, the evolution of the main characters and how the story is told have been great to read through, and as always the art is beyond gorgeous. Unfortunately suffers from some good old sexism in the writing that even if minimal, tasted sour
Le roman de Renart, by Joan Sfar (book 1)
Sfar’s work always has a signature vibe of being dreamy and light without being light hearted, of being down to earth but drifting in the fantastical, and this one is no exception. It’s an adaption of a series of medieval folk tales I grew up with, who uses the same characters to tell an original story. If you’re familiar with icons like Renart as well as other mythological big boys like Merlin you’ll fit right in. There is something special in how the dialogues are written, who feel natural in a way that you’d overhear in a street corner and is very special to me.
The mercenary, by VIncente Segrelles
Another one I post about a lot on this blog. The mercenary is a king on the throne of fantasy cheese. The worldbuilding is interesting at times but the writing is a pretty pathetic display of glorious old time sword and sorcery sci-fantasy 10 years too late for it’s prime (warning for ye old sexism and orientalism that plagues the genre, cranked very high...) but you come and stay for the art. The entire thing is drawn in a series of hyper detailed oil paintings with an insane eye for technical detail, from the engineering of the weaponry, to the architecture and weather, to the anatomy of the fantasy creatures... Each panel stands out as it’s own painting which makes even flipping through it without reading the scenario a treat. Click here to see more of the art, in my Segrelles tag.
The ice maurauder, by Jacques Tardi
A short story about mad scientists entirely drawn like a 19th century engraving. In great Tardi tradition everyone is ugly and mean, it ends terribly, it’s both a hommage to the genre of late 19th cent. to early 1900s dramatic adventure novels and a critical eye on it, and it’s morbidly funny. Most people I saw online hated the way this was written but I’m not them and I really recommend this book. Die mad
-------- Manga --------
Favorite manga of the year: it’s a tie between the following two.
Cats of the Louvre, by Taiyo Matsumoto
Most wonderful comic I have read in ages. The story follows a bunch of semi-feral cats secretly living in the Louvre museum’s attic, and the small group of humans who share their life, walking through the museum as the night watch. When the cats are together, they are represented in a humanoid way, but still act like animals, and “become” cats again when a human is nearby. The plot is a sort of supernatural mystery centered around a kitten who walks around paintings. It’s a love letter to art, sincere and beautiful, with a unique art style and great characters.
Memoirs of amorous Gentlemen, by Moyoco Anno
A sex worker in early 20th century paris starts writing down a diary of the clients she meets, in a quest to cope with the troubles of her life. You follow her, her colleagues, and her bittersweet relationship with an abusive lover. I don’t have much words about this comic, but the art and writing both are amazing, it’s the perfect length and drew me in like little series had before. Obvious content warnings as this is an adult story that talks about sexuality, but also depicts both mental and physical abuse.
Hana, also by Taiyo Matsumoto
A very short story, this was not made to be read as a comic originally, but served as storyboarding and visual development for a play, and the way it is written follows that. Hana is a slice of life story set in a fantasy world, of a young boy, his family, his village. Despite the setting being an original one, the character interactions are refreshingly... normal, and there is no huge plot to speak of, just a bit of the life of these characters. The art is beautiful, entirely black and white, with a scratchy style and an emphasis on contrast. Matsumoto is on a speedy road to becoming my favorite manga artist haha
Delicious in Dungeon, by Ryoko Kui
While not marked as my year’s favorite, I still consider this series among my favorite manga ever. The art and writing are amazing, and it’s both heartfelt, well concieved and plain hilarious. The story follows several parties of dungeon diving adventurers each on their little quests with a premise of our protagonists, on a panic rescue mission, surviving in the dungeon by cooking and eating the monsters they come across. From a DnD party turned cooking manual dinner of the week beginning, the plot creeps up on you and slowly thickens. I don’t want to spoil anything about the overarching story of this because it was a delight to discover for myself. While everything about DinD rules, I am especially fond of the design philosophy of the author, who puts great detail in the practicality and biology of what she draws, as well as the character writing. Everyone even side characters has so much charm and depth to them, the cast is so diverse and entertaining...! Each character is just a bit lame enough but endearing, and has their own little backstory that shows in the way they exist. It’s a delight
Chainsaw man, by Tatsuki Fujimoto
I went into CSM expecting a borderline campy hyperviolent dumb fun thing to read and was very surprised to find an uncomfortably well written story about a teenager being groomed. The hyperviolent dumb fun fights are here nonetheless and the series still qualifies as shonen for some reason, but the more mature character writing as well as some truly outlandish visuals make it something very special. If you can’t stand shonen, not sure you will like it, but if you don’t mind it, worth trying.
Witch hat atelier, by Kamome Shirahama
The oh so elegant fantasy seinen every cool kid started posting about this year, who I also succumbed to and fast. Witch hat is hard to explain, as most of it’s plot revolves around the rules of the world it’s set in, specifically the regulations around it’s magic and the social and historical reasons for them. It’s about growing up, learning, disability, making art. You follow a little girl taken in by a witch as an apprentice, her magical education, and learn little by little why her lovely teacher is so willing to break a lot of rules... While a bit too gentle and pretty for my taste at times, Witch hat has great worldbuilding and explores sensitive themes I rarely see in manga, much less in fantasy. And Berserk wishes it had art this good

I haven’t seen this ever really addressed maybe I missed it but how does Edelgard factor into Ferdibert’s relationship? I imagine they had one huge fight that resulted in period of time where they were separated because Ferdinand was tired of coming second to Edelgard in everything. Not even in a competitor way more like a “sorry Ferdie Edelgard needs this so we can’t have dinner tonight” kind of way. I feel like they’d have a huge fight, probably miscommunication and seperate while they figure it out, mostly on Huberts side imo. For maximum hurt I hc Ferdie would stay with Lorenz who is running interference cuz he’s pissed at Hubert for hurting Ferdie. I don’t know how this resolves tbh. I want them to get back together but I don’t know how Hubert reconciles his devotion to Edelgard and his love for Ferdinand. Thoughts?
I feel like this conflict would happen kind of early on, before they’re really properly together but are still having lots of tea parties and like, singing duets under the scarlet oak tree and stuff. Ferdinand is just so nervous to let himself think his feelings are requited, and every time he really starts to think Hubert loves him, Hubie drops everything to cater to Edelgard. And Hubert has told him that he’s not romantically interested in Edelgard, but then why does she always come first? And Ferdinand gets very insecure and then down on himself for being jealous because this is not proper noble behavior and he should be mature enough to understand that Hubert has devoted his life to Edelgard and that’s okay, but...it still hurts.
So he starts distancing himself from Hubert, mostly to protect himself from disappointment and heartache, but he’s so blatantly pining and looking out windows wistfully and sighing sadly and Edelgard gets frustrated with him and tells Hubert to go fix whatever is wrong between them. Don’t act dumb, Hubert, of course this is about you. You two have been inseparable and suddenly you’re not anymore and Ferdinand is miserable? Come on now.
Meanwhile Hubert thought Ferdinand’s distance was because he finally got sick of spending time with the resident Disney villain, and was too sulking and wallowing in his own melancholy to notice that Ferdinand seemed upset. And he’s not sure what he did but Edelgard and all his friends seem to think something happened between them so he finally seeks Ferdinand out to talk.
And with some stumbling they finally manage to have a real conversation about their feelings and how Hubert does love Edelgard but it’s different from his love for Ferdinand, and he can’t choose one over the other because Edelgard is his emporer who he swore his life to, but Ferdinand...Ferdie is his sun.
And they find a way to make it work while respecting Hubert’s loyalty to Edelgard and valuing Ferdinand’s feelings at the same time and everyone lives happily every after!!

Tales of Graces F Playthrough Thoughts Pt.2
Tumblr media
Under the cut, as usual!
-Firstly, I love and adore Malik and would give my life for him, he's totally precious. Dumb, soft, dad vibes.
Tumblr media
-Asbel is so ridiculously emo, like I feel bad for him but I kinda wanna pick on him too (affectionate). Also like everyone hates this dude. Like I get what he did hurt a lot of people and they don't have to forgive him but Cheria has been so insensitive and Hubert is so cruel now that it's almost a little comical.
Tumblr media
-Sophie is precious as always, I wanna give her a big hug. She continues to be my favorite, I want nothing but love and support and happiness for her.
-I really love how much Asbel has been treating Sophie like she's his child or little sister or something. The dynamic is definitely different than all those years ago but it's clear he still cares about her very much, even if he's uncertain if she's really the same Sophie. -And on that note... seriously guys? Like, I know it was years ago so maybe they can't picture her perfectly but how many other girls with purple pigtails, amnesia, super strength, and clothes that make her look like she came from space are hanging around the meadow? Who else could it possibly be? (now watch me be wrong somehow lol) -Despite how she treats Asbel rn I still like Cheria. I heard they get married eventually?? I think they're a little bit cute, I'm rooting for them!
Tumblr media
-Richard.... good lord, I am so in love with this man. His appearance, his personality, his voice. But he, on the other hand, seems to be in in love with (or at least quite obsessed with) Asbel, especially since he has now saved his life twice. He won't stop telling him how happy he is to see him, how he's the only person in the world that he trusts, how Asbel was able to make him laugh for the first time in a long time, how when he was in danger again this time he wished Asbel would somehow show up to rescue him again (despite not seeing him for 7 years), and saying things like "I know you, you [would/wouldn't] do something like that" as though the two of them hadn't only hung out for a collective few hours 7 years ago lol. He seems like a very lonely and untrusting man so I can understand how their brief friendship really impacted him all this time.
Tumblr media
-Pascal... DO NOT LIKE. The way she treats Sophie makes me very uncomfortable, especially when Sophie is always cowering behind Asbel because she's so scared of being touched by her. I know she's just excited about her research (though she also implied that she thought Sophie had a crush on Richard and that that made Richard her rival so idk...) but I still feel really bad for Sophie. I really wish I could like her because her personality reminds me of Magilou who I love and adore but ehhhh 😬 I dunno, maybe I'm too sensitive or maybe I love Sophie too much or something but I don't find this running gag to be funny or charming. If they don't keep this going the whole game and she eventually drops it I'll probably like her a lot more since I think she's funny in the very few moments where she's not doing that and her design is my favorite so far.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Now on to the big thing... what the FUCK is going on with Sophie?? Her image in that weird machine??? Richard acting strange/afraid when he's around her? The black smoke things that happened when he touched his hand before? Both of their chests hurting in those catacombs? And then of course... her coming back to life in the same place she was originally found and at the same age she was when she died but... somehow with amnesia again??? I don't really care much about the main plot with the war and all that, I'm just dying to know what the heck is going on with these two. -And lastly, if one more person (Asbel... we know I mean Asbel...) says something about protecting someone or the words "7 years ago" I think I might go berserk and trash the city.
