After Akashi & Furihata officially tie the knot, they're ready to spend their first night together as husbands. However, what's supposed to be a passionate steamy night soon turns into a heart-to-heart moment between them as each man takes on the full extent of his partner's scars, both old & new.

Awww I literally started tearing up 💕 like okay, there is a certain order to this to make the image in my head make sense.

1) Kouki has to be the one to propose. The person who proposes has to think out their feelings and their partners, plan the event, and execute- that's alot of thinking. And while both the boys are overthinkers in their own right, it's in different ways. Sei will consider something from every angle and logically access everything- unless he is overwhelmed with joy or too focused on another task.

2. Sei plans the hell out of this wedding. You know the one fic where he plans midotaka's wedding? Yeah that turned up to fucking eleven. He isn't going to have a chance to consider what this - partnership for the rest of their lives - means until the dust has settled, they are alone, the night has fallen, hands held on the bed and rings on fingers. The metallic cold on his skin- that's when it hits him. That's when he cries. Hides his face in Kouki's shoulder, unable to catch his breath.

3) "I never thought I would be lucky enough to be married, to be loved and accepted, let alone by the love of my life... Not after everything I've done." Something along these lines and then

4) Kouki's empathy kicks in and he starts crying too because even though they are different, they are achingly similar.

5) God the image of them cuddled around each other, crying, their sweet soft loving whispers, kissing away the tears, wetly laughing- be still my heart

6) and maybe.... maybe they can get back on track and Kouki can uh... you know, consumate their marriage. I believe in switch akafuri 😚

Midorima Shintarou/Takao Kazunari + 10) lifting someone up out of excitement 

They won.

They won. The buzzer went off the same exact moment the ball snapped against the floor one more time, flying high from the impact of Shintarou’s three.

The air was literally crisp from tension. For a second, everything seemed to come to a halt; Shintarou’s hand was frozen in the same stupid position he held for a second too long, their opponents stopped mid-sprint, and even Takao was stuck in his little semi-squat, still processing. They won. It went in. It should’ve been obvious, because Shintarou was amazing, but,

they won.

The roar of the crowd seemed to resume the world. It was so piercing, so loud that it brought the life back to their stilled frames. He looked around, watching as Miyaji burst into tears, their teammates bumping shoulders and throwing arms around each other, Aomine Daiki finally tearing his wild eyes from their own hoop to stare at Shintarou in disbelief. And Shintarou stared back at him, mouth agape, eyes wide behind his glasses.

Takao’s legs moved on instinct. He thought they’d give up on him by now, was sure ever since the start of the fourth quarter, but they were marching forward, and then running, forcing him to collide with another hot, sweaty mess of skin and muscles and soaked basketball jersey that he swung his arms around, holding on, holding him close.

‘Takao, what-’ Shintarou was cut off with a yelp, scrambling to hold onto Takao’s shoulders as he squeezed tight around his torso, leaning back, back- and then, Shintarou was in the air, held up by Takao’s arms, his entire weight on him, like it had been this whole time, during this match and even before that, ever since Takao decided to get over his jealousy and support him, basically ever since they’ve been playing basketball together.

And Takao didn’t even know it. He was so preoccupied with admiring Shintarou, that he failed to realize how worthless he would be without him. He didn’t know, wouldn’t understand how great he was; he just screamed in Shintarou’s ear, his expression one of pure bliss, chin wedged into Shintarou’s chest, and Shintarou couldn’t help holding on, twisting his fingers into dark hair and squeezing, for once in his life wholly giving himself over to uncontrolled, sheer euphoria.

He knew Takao would be there to catch him when he came down. He knew he’d shake hands with Aomine, and he would offer him a smile and a snarky remark about not letting him win next time, and he knew, most of all, that it would be all right.

MidoTaka Friendship Headcannons

There is never a boring day when you are friends with Midorima and Takao. They always make you laugh at how they act especially when Takao teases Midorima. You were already close with Midorima, he was your weird neighbour who carried out weird items that you now know as his lucky item for today. You also babysat his younger sibling and your parents are pretty much friends as well.

The two of you just became accustomed to each other presence, you treat him as family and he does the same. Sure enough, both of your parents made sure the two of you are always together not for the sake of making you date but to simply look out for each other.

Takao just came in a later picture. Just like how you friendship began with Midorima, you grew to like Takao as well. He was funny and very friendly! The two of you would gang up with Midorima and play on pranks on him, ending with small red mark on both of your forehead.

"Worth it." You snickered, seeing a picture of Midorima with a drawn mustache while sleeping on the desk. Later selling it to his fangirls.

"TAKAO! (Y/N)! YOU ARE IN TROUBLE NANODAYO!" Midorima caught the two of you selling his pictures, stomping towards your direction, Takao grabbed your arm and you guys made a run for it.

"PEDAL FASTER KAZU-NII!"

Midorima eventually catched up after throwing his luck item (surprisingly it's a brick) and almost hitting Takao on the head but it did made him stop.

Apologises with food instead.

Midorima would often scold you when it comes to academic matters. He would help you in your studies, projects, and even offers to proofread your papers. He sometimes feel like he's raising a kid because of you.

You always watch them practice, teasing how he looks like a carrot from time to time, earning a death glare from him. Takao loves to ruffle your hair making you slightly annoyed. You're not just there to watch them practice when there are other members who are good looking as well.

"No."

"BUT SHIN-NII! PLEASE! PRETTY PLEASE!" You begged but Midorima is not that easy to persuade especially when you, out of all people, are asking him to set you up on a date with his former teammate, Kise Ryouta.

You sighed, giving up on him and faced Takao who just stuck his tongue out.

Oh, you'll get his number for sure.

THEY ARE VERY PROTECTIVE! Glares at people who stares at you for too long or at people who seems touchy or at people you confessed that you have a crush with.

You were the type who had many different crushes. In your defense, you just have too much love to give away.

Midorima could let it slide if you had a crush in Akashi or at Murasakibara even! But Kise? Kise Ryouta? Unacceptable.

"What do you see in him?" You would always defend Kise, going to all their games just to talk to him and of course support the two.

Midorima and Takao had a silent agreement to keep you away from Kise at all times.

You are just precious to them and they care about you a lot. They don't want you to get hurt but they know if you ever date, they need to respect your decision.

So when Kise and you begin to go out, Midorima gave you the talk while Takao cried saying how you grew too fast and how he wants a girlfriend too.

You assured that they are still the number one in their heart!

They are always one call away. One time, you went out to buy snacks at the nearest store and you felt like you were being followed. You immediately call them both, crying. Your sobs was all it took for Takao to pedal the rickshaw like his life depended on it. Takao hugged you immediately and escort you home. Midorima kept silent and waited for you to calm down enough before giving a lecture about it.

They always made sure that you have atleast one of them to accompany you during your late night snack journey.

"SHIN-NII! COME ON I WANT RAMEN!"

"At 1 AM?"

"Yes."

"What do I do with you nanodayo?"

You are their happy pill and strength, you comfort them during their loss and rejoice in their victory. You are happy to have friends like Midorima and Shintaro, even if they are more overbearing than your mom and dad.
