The Nurturing Queen and the Greedy Duke

Credit to @sky00asara in this post for this idea I love guys who are moms (if you get what I mean) This will follow the same rough story beats but will still have a little of my own flair.

The Nuturing Queen, Mother of the Wandering Princess and Erratic Prince, has been said to provide protection and inspire devotion to all who come across her. Praised as Balance and Duality personified, she is a large influence and very commonly mentioned in every scroll, book, art piece, and all magic artifacts that Constantine has seen. He's heard from so many beings of how great she is, her feats, and her being the largest connection between the Unknown Realms and Earth.

Here comes the problem. The Nurturing Queen has an enemy who's been around just as long as she has, who's also been seen not long after wherever she goes, chasing her trail and lurking. The Greedy Duke. He wishes to have her as his own, and take the throne to himself, subsequently plunging the Unknown Realms into chaos. Whenever he confronts the Nurturing Queen, legendary battles commence, and he is beat back.

But now, things are going wrong. The Lazurus Pits have been reported as acting, well, erratic. The Erratic Prince, some beings say, has been seen discussing things with the Greedy Duke. They fear his loyalties may not lie with his family.

A shift has been felt in the magics community. Unknown Realms Beings have ventured into Earth, either out of curiosity or to wreak havoc. Now, at the watchtower, JLD work out how to summon a being and demand to know what's going on, the rest of the Justice League desperate.

When they finally do summon one, they're launched into the Unknown Realms as an answer, told to "Find our Queen" as the being dissappears. They're on a floating island in a green void.

Ofmd is..not at all what i was expecting

Why did not a single one of you tell me that they were vaguely given pirate characters and told to improv about it and that most of them are bad at improv but really trying their hardest

Maybe i shouldve guessed but i was expecting like.. a show. Like a real show with written scripts not this (kind of awkward) bumbling around a scene for longer than is needed until the directors decide to spare us and show a different bumbling scene

Props to queer eye for the pirate guy who is trying his damn hardest, theres a lad who knows when to chomp on that bit but watching this show overall feels like a trainwreck. Like im still gonna watch if you get just the right amount of high and accept that this is an ongoing theatre improv scenario not a television or streaming style show then you can still have a good time i think, embrace the cringe and whatnot and i know you tumblr hoes love it so ill stick it through to the end but can someone please at least tell me that good omens is like.. a show with a script? When i get to it ive heard such good things and if its just more college improv id like to maybe skip it please i think ofmd is enough improv for me

like not to sound paranoid but seeing that there was another gay bar shooting (Oslo london) rly just confirms the anxiety I’ve been having about being in lgbt spaces throughout my europe trip. we went to a well known gay club in Milan last night and my friend and I were actively anxious about potential danger being in that space. hate it here

#also another time we were in a club also in Milan #in the open air smoking area #and a car on the street below backfired rly heavily #and we both BOLTED our immediate reaction was ‘holy fuck someone’s shooting holy fuck’ #all the Italians in the club were just mildly startled and walked towards to noise to check it out #Ava and I quite literally fled to the other side of the bar thinking someone had a gun #oh to be an American #and the sad thing is that as 2 lgbt women we both enjoy gay clubs so much more than non gay clubs #it feels much safer to be surrounded by our people like. the gays r my people and i love going to gay bars and drag shows and just- #-being with other gays #so it’s so upsetting that these safe spaces are being tainted with the fear of being shot up #I don’t wanna be confined to going to straight bars bc they won’t get hate crimed :/ #like not only is there tje obvious and very literal carnage of all these gay bar shootings #but the fear of it….the dese is taking away such a core part of experiencing these spaces which is the SAFETY and COMMUNITY #fear* #the frequency of gay bar hate crimes is actively stripping the whole concept of the gay bar of its purpose

finally caved to the hype and watched everything everywhere all at once and holy shit

that's the best movie i've seen in a long time

#it really threw into sharp relief how hollow and soulless so much of modern cinema is? #like marvel movies at their best are flashy and cool and have cool plots and maybe they have something to say #*maybe* #black panther at least had something to say evem though it was hard to hear for the mcu noise #but on the whole they're just cool stories without deeper meaning #they leave you feeling nothing but ''that was cool!'' at their best #but this movie #holy shit #it's a brilliant sci-fi concept beautifully executed but it's also about familial love and existential dread and nihilism #and finding meaning in a meaningless universe #and it made me cry over a rock with googly eyes falling down a cliff #i'm raving about it to everyone i know i'm still stunned by how fucking incredible that movie was
