Shadow really really really wants the crumbs of my lemon cheese cake so he keeps giving me cheek kisses (smushing his nose against my cheek) and it's literally pure joy.
I just realized that Saga's new skin on CN probably isn't her family, but all the different versions of herself that she saw inside of Dusk's painting
This was probably obvious to some people but it's blowing me away. This is what she saw in the painting. All these different versions of herself. All these possibilities that are just as much Saga as she is. These are the Sagas she sat down with, came to know, and had a nice meal with before leaving the painting entirely of her own volition.
Reason I am getting concernicus chihuahua eyebrows tonight: normally, her bed lives in the chair I am currently sitting in, and Horror of Horrors, I have asked her to lay in her bed on the FLOOR, like a MONSTER. Soon, I will get up, and put her bed back where it belongs. In the meantime, though, I'm getting huffed at. Love you, too, spoiled dog.
What is your pet like? Other than sending hate off anon lol
Oh, please meet Marty
Named after Marty McFly
She's part beagle, part american bulldog, part a bunch of other stuff
She likes to bark at anything moving through the window, eat, and be able to access anybody in the house at any time.
and sleep, she loves to sleep
My parents got her not even two months before shut down in 2020, and did not expect her to be so high strung, so they got a second dog about six months later in hopes she would chill out
she did not
food motivated (marty) v food protective (raine, the other dog) do not mix well, especially when the instigator is smaller and always looses the fights.
So, when i moved out a few months ago, I took marty with me, to help with everybody's stress levels
Which, I think was very sucessful
anyway, have a video of my idiot dog playing in the snow instead of going to the bathroom
[Video description: the same dog as the images above - a medium-sized dog, with short black fur and white on her chest, neck and paws. She is playing with a tennis ball in a few inches of snow, but the ball isn't rolling the way she expects due to the snow, so it keeps getting caught underneath her and she loses track of it. Towards the end, a person tells her 'Marty, you need to go to the bathroom, it's cold out here' and Marty stops playing to stare at the person.]
It's official. We've just had our first 2 weeks with Miles, and I'm already so impressed with this little guy.
His housebreaking, basic obedience, kennel, and people skills are coming along fantastic. Miles really seems to love people and other dogs and is pretty quick to recover whenever he is startled.
Miles is working hard at learning a stronger recall and playing fun attention games. He still needs to improve his leash manners and work on his focus, but that's okay; the world is really exciting and interesting when you're a puppy!
This week we are buying him some new gear, more treats, and hopefully a wider variety of chew toys to help Miles get through the discomfort of teething.
