1. Twenty Five Twenty One

this drama was so heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time; it was a perfect depiction of first love—exciting, thrilling, and sometimes disappointing. i love a kdrama that can make me feel something, and this one definitely did that <3

2. Our Blues

this kdrama met me at a time in my life where i needed the comfort that this show brings; it’s extremely calming and reassuring to see other people struggle and overcome their struggles together. if you’re looking for a touching small town or family kdrama with a little bit of romance and heartache, this is the one for you!

3. My Liberation Notes

to me, although this drama is unusual in that it’s a lot more melancholy and complex than the typical cheerful, carefree kdrama, it was so much more impactful and therapeutic to watch. i loved dissecting Mi-jeong and Mr. Gu’s relationship and seeing it progress as time went on, and the family dynamics portrayed in this show make it so much more realistic for the viewer.

4. Alchemy of Souls

this show was is so action-packed, dramatic, and romantic at the same time!! it’s very exciting and entertaining and it fulfills all of my historical kdrama dreams—but with a modern twist of course. love this show (and it has 2 seasons released in the same year!!)

5. Extraordinary Attorney Woo

such an interesting look into what it’s like to live with autism—the show does a great job of showing both sides of Young-woo’s condition, the fun and hilarious sides, and the more stressful and uncomfortable aspects. in addition to that, it’s an amazing kdrama that is unique and heartwarming! 10/10

how can I process this?

that love confession? Mudeok comparing love to a poison? Jang Wook is poisoned and she's the antidote. This brings back that scene in episode where she poisoned him so that they will open his energy gate, thus making him stronger. Some parts of my brain are on the brink of discovering some parallelism here but I cannot expound on that because huge part of my brain is still screaming because of the first five minutes of this episode

what I love about this drama is Mudeok/Naksu being consistent as a merciless assassin/master/servant and Jang Wook... oh Jang Wook, he knows how wicked she is, knows how unhealthy their relationship is and yet... OH GOD I LOVE THEM

when Mudeok used that egg jade to bet with Crown Prince. I screamed, you merciless bitch. Jang Wook is clearly hurt but I can see the endgame for this. Through this constant duel, Jang Wook will learn and improve. She is clearly the best master for him. Yeah, I know some of her methods are deadly but it's certainly effective.

some scenes that really stuck with me is that scene with the fake blind girl and Jin Mu. That girl really have some guts.

Jin Choyeon and Danggu are cute together. See, I remember their names now.

In another world and in another realm, I might ship Jang Wook and Crown Prince. I don't know what kind of ship yet but I really dig their interactions

another favorite scene is when Mudeok tried to stop Jang Wook from taking a nap. When she sat on that chair and Jang Wook use kabedon and for a moment I thought we are getting some action rawr! only for him to throw her out from the chair. LOL. Yes, I admit I'm thirsty for some skinship but it's alreay 11 episodes and we only get a few hugs and more fights and bickering. This feels like fast-paced and slow burn at once.

the preview... It looks like the new girl will make Mudeok jealous. Good, she should get a taste of that poison too. And Jang Wook wiping her shoes and Mudeok checking his injuries YES!!
