"Emily..." Randall began, almost tearfully, but it was June and Wilhelm who spoke up over him-not to agree, not to rush her out the door and warn her not to come back, but instead to ask her to stay.
"Please," Wilhelm began, as June reached out to take the young woman's cold hand, stopping her as he continued, "W-Would you stay, just a little longer, lass? Really, we...we'd like it if you stayed. I-I promise, y-you're not intruding; Junie and I weren't able to sleep anyways..."
"You saved our son's life, and you brought him back home to us," June continued gently, as Randall sat up a little, just as surprised as Emily was at this sudden turn of events, this change in reaction in his parents. "We...we can't thank you enough for that. Please, won't you sit down? I...I think we have a lot to talk about...and a lot to apologize for."
At this, Randall's eyes widened further, as he looked between Emily, his mother, and his father, that surprise turning to a sort of tentative relief, as his mother encouraged Emily to make herself comfortable, while June moved to the kitchen to put on a pot of tea, to perhaps soothe their frazzled nerves. She hoped the young woman (not a monster, she thought to herself, but a young woman) would accept, and hear out what the Pace parents had to say.
#((i'm sorry: an a.i. just isn't nearly as threatening as the soul of a serial killer!))#((the terror of 'child's play' is defidently that andy is so little-he's this adorable little six-year-old who makes your heart melt))#((watching him make his mom breakfast on his own birthday and getting excited about having a good guy of his own))#((and so you don't want anything to happen to him! he's being preyed upon by what he thought was his friend))#((his talking good guy doll-even worse; chucky told andy that he was sent by andy's dead father to play with him))#((which adds a cruel twist to things-andy just wanted a friend; and now he's in danger; and no one believes him))#((not until the end! so having andy be older; be attacked by an a.i. doll who should NOT be that strong like you said))#((and have more allies on his side; it really does take away that fear factor; that level of suspense!))#((and there really is so much love in the main franchise; as opposed to the 2019 reboot))#((which feels more like your standard cash grab! it's almost a family affair))#((considering the actress who played andy's mother in the first film married kevin yagher))#((who designed and built the chucky animatronic; i think alex vincent's little sister played chucky))#((for the scene where he runs behind andy's aunt maggie shortly before she goes pushed out the window))#((and of course brad dourif's daughter fiona is a part of the franchise now; having played nica pierce))#((and even playing a young charles lee ray in flashbacks for the tv show!))#((there really is so much love and care behind it; the kind of love and care you just don't see in the reboot!))#outofhatboxes#beatingheart-bride#V:Dark Shadows

I wanted to vent to someone who loves Chucky and Tiffany and who actually understands their characters a lot more than the actual creator does. But it’s gotten to the point where Chucky and Tiffany in the show are extremely annoying to me. Yes I’m watching season 3 and I am honestly done with it. And that’s sad. But you are honestly one of the few people that keep me invested with Chucky and Tiffany (as well as Bride and Seed). But there is something that I admire from you and that is you keep the softness Chucky and Tiffany have for each other and their kids. Because Don has completely demolished that and that’s upsetting. Because yes YES Chucky and Tiffany are villains, but villains with soft sides with people they trust and who they care about aka love.
In Bride and Seed despite their fights there are moments that they are soft with each other and compliment one another. There’s a moment in Seed where Chucky thinks Tiffany killed someone (when it was really Glenda) and he gently talks to her and isn’t an asshole to her at all. His voice is incredibly soft and gentle with who he thinks is Tiffany. Then in Bride halfway through after he has killed her he apologizes to her. However, in the show there is no softness. Even him being possessing Nica he’s 10000000000% antagonistic he’s never once soft with her. He says she will be getting fat, says that she’s no real lady, and etc. Which contradicts Chucky and how he has viewed Tiffany in the past. However, with their kids it’s significantly worse (which I will vent about separately). Like yes they aren’t at all good people, but like Don completely took out the softness aspects of their relationship. As well as other things.
Thank you so much!
I feel the same way. The softness from their relationship is completely gone and it makes me so sad. The show ruined it.
I remember that scene in SOC. When he tried to use one of her phrases to comfort her not knowing it was Glenda.
That man loves that woman and vice versa. Shit....sometimes I think Chucky loves her more.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but...
As much as I love BarclayPierce, I don't necessarily want them to be canon in the franchise.
Don't get me wrong, I am desperate for them to interact more in the show. Teaming up and becoming friends after they knew about each other for so long and never got to meet but I would rather see them interact as friends and then read into the performances.
This is because after looking back on the entire franchise I have come to a conclusion:
Don Mancini can not write a healthy romantic relationship to save his life.
Think about it:
Chiffany speaks for itself.
Andy's foster parents in CP2 weren't too bad if it wasn't for the fact that Phil was an asshole (at least in my opinion).
Andy and Kristen in CP3 were sweet, but realistically, it was a teenage crush, and we know for a fact didn't last for whatever reason.
Jesse and Jade seemed cute on the surface but then instantly started accusing the other of murder with no evidence.
Barb and Ian's marriage was obviously awful, and by extension, so was Barb and Jill's since Barb was cheating, and they both knew it.
Both Lexy and Junior's parents' relationship was toxic in a way, with Michelle and Logan being narcissists and constantly ignoring or shutting down their sposes opinions.
Lexy and Junior's relationship was pretty similar, too, with Junior even admitting that he was afraid of Lexy.
Jake and Devon started off cute, but as I've said before, with all the conflict in Season 2, it seems that they are more in love with their idea of the other person rather than the person themselves. Even in season 3, we haven't really seen them emotionally connect, it just keeps being overly sexualized scenes (which is a whole other conversation)
Grant and Lexy (if they count) it is basically all manipulation since Lexy apparently can't stand Grant and is only pretending to like him to get to Chucky, with it only hinting that her opinion may have changed on him after he opened up about losing his brother. (Let's not even start about the fact that Jackson was 22 and Alyvia was 15 when they filmed that kiss scene.)
And finally, James and Charlotte Collins, where it has been revealed that James has previously cheated on Charlotte and she is still with him even after finding out.
I'm not even counting Niffany as a relationship since it is purely Tiffany abusing Nica.
So, yeah. Personally, I don't trust Don to not mess BarclayPierce up if he did decide to make them canon so I would rather get excited about their little friendly interactions and see what Alex and Fiona would do with their performances.

The Ultimate Nica Pierce Playlist!
Nica is my favorite in the series and I couldn’t get the thought of creating a playlist of music that I think she would listen to/music I think represents her/reminds me of her out of my head!
So here is the Playlist with Songs/Artists/some explanations! Thanks to @barclaysangel for some input!!
What do you think Nica would listen to/what are your favorites?! Let’s nerd out over them!
*Dog Days Are Over (Florence and the Machine) - I mean come ON, this fits Nica’s vibe PERFECTLY (thanks to barclaysangel for the inspiration) and the lyrics to this song in particular are so perfect for Nica’s ultimate fighting spirit.
*Queen of Peace (Florence)
*Girl With One Eye (Florence)
*Shake It Out (Florence)
*Kiss With A Fist (Florence)
*Never Let Me Go (Florence)
*Free (Florence)
*Tag You’re It (Melanie Martinez) - This one gave me goosebumps when I connected it not only to what she faces with Chucky and Tiff messing her life up, but Chucky LITERALLY uses Nica to taunt Andy saying “Tag You’re It, Pal!” CHILLS. It works SO well I think!
*Training Wheels (Melanie Martinez) - Reminds me so much of the inner turmoil she’d face when falling for our very own Andy Barclay (they’re perfect for each other!)
*Milk and Cookies (Melanie Martinez) - The rest of the MM songs I put in because they fit so well within the context of the show/I feel like they relate to Nica very well!
*Teddy Bear (Melanie Martinez)
*Dollhouse (Melanie Martinez)
*Soap (Melanie Martinez)
*Lie In Our Graves (Dave Matthews) - I think when Nica is trying to relax/is smoking she may listen to music like this to help turn her brain off! Dave Matthews/ Glass Animals is perfect for that and I think she’d appreciate the vibe occasionally.
*Crush (Dave Matthews)
*Youth (Glass Animals)
*Ants Marching (Dave Matthews)
*Life Itself (Glass Animals)
*Everywhere (Fleetwood Mac) - For some reason I feel like Nica listened to a lot of Fleetwood Mac with her mother growing up, and she still has a fondness for it when she feels nostalgic
*Dreams (Fleetwood Mac)
*Go Your Own Way (Fleetwood Mac)
*Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow (Fleetwood Mac)
*I Write Sins (Not Tragedies) (Panic at the Disco) - Growing up with her family, I think she had a little emo phase and listened to quite a bit of Panic/Fall out Boy/Paramore/Greenday. I love imagining a young Nica getting her angst out to these songs
*The Phoenix (Fall Out Boy)
*Bring Me To Life (Evanescence)
*Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana)
*Boulevard of Broken Dreams (Green Day)
*Memories (Panic at the Disco)
*Ain’t It Fun (Paramore)
*Still Into You (Paramore)
*Ready To Go Get Me Outta My Mind (Panic at the Disco)
*Still Breathing (Green Day)
*This Ain’t A Scene (Fall Out Boy)
*A Little Less Sixteen Candles (FOB)
*Just One Yesterday (FOB)
*Young Volcanoes (FOB)
*Sugar Were Going Down (FOB)
*Holiday (Green Day)
*When I Come Around (Green Day)
*Semi-Charmed Life (Third Eye Blind) - One of the songs Nica grew up with that she still enjoys to this day (like the next few)
*Everything You Want (Vertical Horizon)
*Breakfast At Tiffany’s (Deep Blue Something) - Despite the name Tiffany being a sore subject, Nica likes this song
*Valerie (Amy Winehouse)
*Rehab (Amy Winehouse)
*Don’t Let Me Get Me (Pink) - Fits when Nica would’ve been young and I think she still loves listening to this song when she feels a bit angsty
*You and I (Lady Gaga)
*Bloody Mary (Lady Gaga)
*ScheiBe (Lady Gaga)
*Wicked World (Matt Jaffe)
*Still Alive (Demi Lovato) - I mean obviously, this is a Final Girl anthem and she’s the best Final Girl there is!!
*Too Sweet (Hozier) - Fits her so well! I know our girl enjoys her whiskey neat ;)

Universe is forcing me to post this:
In Little Little Lies, Fiona Dourif was the actress under the prosthetics that recreated a young Charles Lee Ray (once played by her father Brad Dourif).
Tumblr media
(Fiona Dourif as Young Charles Lee Ray)
Dourif recounts how she went off set to see if she could pass as Charles Lee Ray. “They had to shoot another scene before the prosthetics people, who were so talented, were going to be able to take the prosthetics off me. So, there was this biker bar type place by set, and I was still looking like him in costume. I decided to see if I passed, and I went into this bar. I tried to keep my voice low. I passed as a man always. People didn’t think it was makeup. I got the experience of sitting in a bar. I tried to flirt with the waitress but got a little nervous.”
The most recent episode, “Cape Queer,” brought a new complicated layer to character Nica, also played by Fiona Dourif. Tiffany is looking for love from her. Dourif said of the development, “That was something that we had to think about. If Chucky [also played by Fiona] leaves and it’s Nica, I still have this woman who I think is quite deranged but also so vulnerable. There’s something at the heart of Tiffany where she just wants to be loved; how Nica would deal with that. What would that sex be like? We had to have all those conversations. How much kindness is in it? Because I think in the end, Nica feels bad for her. She maybe doesn’t want to have sex with her, but she feels bad for her. And I think they probably, they just might, you know.”

Chucky/Child’s Play info dump :D
tiny little disclaimer :]
*these were compiled from a bunch of old separate/individual Chucky rants of mine *
a majority of this is just be gushing about behind the scene details and character quirks with SOME synopses about some of the movies (mostly focusing on my favorites, curse and cult)also i learned a lot of this info from dead meats yt channel, they do kill counts and go in depth about horror movie productions n stuff!!if you like my little ramble and wanna hear a more concise in depth summary of the story with added behind the scenes info I’d suggest checking out their Chucky franchise recounts !! I do paraphrase some cool parts that I noticed only after watching dead meats kill count so again, highly recommend checking out their video if you want a better in depth look at the Chucky/childs play series!!!
(also fyi not beta read ,pretty much word vomiting about my favorite horror franchise)
Chucky ramble ⬇️ : D
(Spoiler warning and tw for canon typical violence/violent scene mentions)
Offshooting from a Scream tangent discussing favorite horror movies,Chucky (for me atleast) just handles the characters much better. the way that they never stray away from the main antagonists and also manage to introduce new protagonists in a way that they relate the the ever growing franchise lore/plot just amazes me not even to mention the way that Don Mancini directs the franchise and continues to integrate the same actors in a way that i havent seen a lot of horror franchises do. EX: using Jennifer Tilly to play the non doll Tiffany Valentine, using her voice after her character's normal human self dies, and using her as a full actor again to play herself in the later Chucky movies i just adore how Don finds as many ways as possible to give the actors that have been loyal to him and his franchise new roles/work also it really helps out with the franchises actual story too Also i just think it’s cool that Nica Pierce is played by Fiona Dourif, daughter of Brad Dourif (Charles lee ray's actor + Chucky's voice actor) I can go on for hours about Cult and Curse of Chucky :v
When Nica Pierce,a traditionally fem presenting person, gets possessed by Charles lee ray/Chucky,a visceral traditionally masculine serial killer, the way her mannerisms change to reflect that change in mindset and personality makes me go fucking wild genuinely most of my favorite parts of the franchise is when she's possessed by Chucky Also Devon Sawa has appeared so much in the Chucky franchise and he plays different characters almost every time(since the characters he plays keeps on dying) and when he appeared in the 2nd season of the Chucky franchise he makes a reference to his earlier horror comedy work (Idle Hands) and i hshdjajdnkkajs makes me so happy cause i love that movie so much Also the way that all the movies vary tonally makes me so happy.its like sampling a little bit from each horror genre. from horror comedy,to the traditional slasher esc moments,to the utter suspense of the cult and curse movies, then not even to mention how it (in my opinion) works so well when being integrated to the tv it just works so well for me also just i love the gore effects so much Dr.Foley's death was genuinely one of my favorite parts of the franchise like the way his head gets bashed in with Nica's stiletto heel was really well executed,I love the practical effects used !!!
okay actually getting to each movie (and a little bit of the TV series)
The 1st movie was just a cult classic and it deserves all its recognition and it's premise and plot has still held up pretty well to present day the 2nd movie does so well letting the audience see how the events of the 1st film plauged the young Andy Barclay into his late childhood,it's also excellent when introducing his new foster sister Kyle (best character in the first 3 movies ong) can't say too much on the 3rd movie,it's not bad by any means,it still excels at practical gore effects and the characters and pretty solid but it's nothing compared to the movies that follow it Bride of Chucky. LORD
Don Mancini's turn in directors chair after overseeing the franchise since the first movie, and he does not disappoint I've seen a lot of people claim that Bride is the worst in the franchise because of its overly silly tone but that's one of my favorite parts about this era of the franchise The way that Don isn't afraid to play around with the characters and plot makes way for so many outlandish moments in the franchise that help it out so much overall Anyways god i adore Jennifer Tilly Bride being the first film that i had ever seen her act in,it was like a whole experience the way she played Tiffany Valentine just stuck with me,then her voice acting as Tiff in doll form is so well performed, and Bride has some of the most iconic/best lines and line deliveries i have ever seen!! Btw im trying to speed run talking about the earlier films because i really want to talk about Curse and Cult but i think that Bride is such an interesting movie when you step back and compare it to the ones the come and the ones that came before it
Anyways any film with Jennifer Tilly is a win and im so glad that she remained a mainstay in the Chucky franchise because her acting skills and her character are so much of the reason that im infatuated with this series Okay but anyways Seed of Chucky! Putting aside the lovely queer representation (something that will become a running theme in Mancini's work with the franchise) I lovelovelove Glen/Glenda's character(s) so much as a juxtaposition to Tiff and Chucky's.Their strange family-esc dynamic allow for so many comedic moments that let me just relax and genuinely enjoy the movie so much. Also the fact that Glen/Glenda's voice actor is the same one that played a hobbit in lord of the rings/hobbit (i forget which) just adds a bit of silliness to them OOO And the scene when Tiff calls a help hotline is a masterpiece on its own The concept of a killer doll calling a help hotline because she feels like shes goiing to relapse on killing already has such a comedic premise to it but the way the movie plays it dead serious always amuses me,it adds a layer to her character that's so entertainingly nuanced
OKAY NOW ONTO CURSE + CULT Okay so Curse of Chucky is one of my favorite movies of all time (no surprise) starting out with the mere fact that Fiona Dourif is in it AND she plays Nica Pierce.Fiona Dourif being the daughter of Brad Dourif, the actor and voice actor for Chucky/Charles lee ray,is already fantastic but Nica's character by herself serves as an astoundingly well written and complex figure in the Chucky franchise She's strong, witty, kind, resourceful, and downright badass at times and i adore her to bits The way her character is portrayed in Curse and Cult makes for such an interesting viewing She's a woman whos been looked down on/pitied for all of he life,on account of the fact that she's handicapped and wheelchair bound, despite that she still manages to carry herself with a sense of self confidence that doesn't make her come off as arrogant but headstrong When shit hits the fan she's downright distraught when her sister dies at the hands of Chucky, showing that although she has a sarcastic attitude she's still very much a well fleshed out character
Throughout the movie she's shown to be compassionate but still not taking anyone's shit and she makes for a really interesting character to nitpick Despite her horrid situation she still manages to (almost) best Chucky at his own gritty game, she's shown to be able to both take and throw punches, even against someone/thing that's killed the rest of her family (except for alice, niece, but well get to her later) The end of the movie is bittersweet in the sense that while Nica does manage to survive Chucky, she's left to take the blame for the massacre he left behind. Her screaming "i'm still alive" to an unmoving chucky while in court at her own sentencing is a scene that never gets old to me Also i cant talk about curse without mentioning the Andy Barclay cameo end credit scene because when i say i went absolutely feral to see his character come back into the franchise, still played my a now grown Alex Vincent anyways CULT OF CHUCKY!!!
This movie take so many stylistic liberties which i dont mind, heavily reminds me of experimental artistic late 70s-early 90s european films It also fully brings back Andy Barclay as a mainstay character + a cameo from Kyle!!!
This film taking place a few years (i believe) from the last movie, still following Nica Pierce The whole premise is that she's thrown into a mental/psyche ward and after a while accepted the false truth that she was insane and hallucinated the whole Chucky is alive thing.Eventually Dr.Foley, the main doctor at the ward overlooking Nica brings in a Chucky doll as a sort of exposure therapy and Chucky shenanigans ensue All while Andy Barclay is trying to kill all the Chuckys (because theres more then one because of voodoo soul splitting across multiple vessles) and Nica is just trying to survive The movie ends with Chucky shoving part of his soul in Nica Pierce, possessing her and the possesed Nica runs away from the asylum with Tiff I could go on and on for hours about the practical gore/sfx/effects,and the great stylistic choices in the movie but i'd just be rambling more at that point than i already have But like lord The one scene when Dr Foley's head gets bashed beneath Nica's heel is one of my favorite parts of the franchise, both because of Fiona Dourifs and the awesome practical effects !!! anyways
Can you tell i really like the chucky franchise- I just realize i didnt even mention the practical Chucky animatronic effects Throughout the whole Curse and especially Cult movie the amazing work of the puppeteers really shines through in the scenes with multiple chucky dolls! Also how Brad Dourif decides to voice the different chucky dolls makes me so happy, like he makes the newer created Chucky's have voice cracks and a slightly pitched voice to indicate the new life brought to it and its just so well done in the movie(noticed this after it was pointed out in the Chucky recount/kill count on yt :D) also also the multiple chucky shenanigans makes me so happy lord I could go on about the practical effects in the franchise,i havent mentioned it a lot but the puppeteering and animatronics and effects have been spectacular since the beginning, and the way that the animatronics evolve with the innovation with technology and also the bigger budgets with the movies
Rahh also also if anyone ever wants me to go into the filmography and special effects of the Chucky franchise just tell me because i will go crazzyyyyy i really need to find a clip of the scene when Nica bashes Foleys head in underneath her heel because it will never get old for me trust i could write a whole essay on the complexities and nuances of dynamics and the strained relationship between so many of the characters 🙏 Tiff (especially in Bride) really encapsulates a lot of what I love about the series,I just adore how she’s written Omg and don’t get me started on Brad Dourif. He plays Chucky so well and his character both as the human Charles lee ray and in doll form as Chucky is so amusing More on the actual franchise,i have so much to say about the tv show but i still havent finished it yet (on season 2) Mini ramble abt Nica and Tiff, their dynamic in the show and plot wise has always interested me The strained dynamic between Nica and Charles/Chucky in Curse ultimately culminating in Nica being possessed by Chucky in Cult, the on and off relation between Chucky and Tiff, and the absolute infatuation between Nica and Tiffs (or well at least Tiff’s infatuation with Nica)carries so much of the character driven plot in a way i wouldn't have expected initially,in something i thought was going to be a silly slasher series
Wooooo okay mini mini rant on the tv series because its so good even though i havent finished it yet As mentioned prior i adore how the franchise handles introducing new characters to the ever growing plot and lore or the series, one amazing example of this is how they bring a new generation of protagonists into the show while not throwing aside Andy Barclay's character Jake serves as a great stand in for Don Mancini himself (admitted as much in interview) and the striking conflict that he has with his sexuality mirrors Don's own personal experiences with his own life. While Jakes sexuality is a part of his character it isnt the only thing about him (which i adore,i dont like when a characters whole personality is just being queer) but his sexuality creates great context and depth to his character and his struggles anyways the way that the characters keep on evolving as the series progresses is highlighted in Nica and Tiff's relationship compared to them at the end of cult to them in the ending of season 1
Oml and not even mentioning the sapphic twist on the traditional killer couple, the interactions between Chucknica (Chucky possessed Nica) + Tiff and Tiff + normal Nica make for some of my personal favorite scenes in the series, having the characters written and interacting in such a way allows for so much more comedic and sometimes downright suspenseful scenes !! i.e. the scene when Nica overcomes the possession for a bit, gaining control of her body, but she's still in a room with Tiff,Chucky's girlfriend, being forced to play cards with her to make sure Tiff doesn't notice its Nica in control Tiff’s giddy psychotic personality really creates the sense that Nica is in genuine danger when around her, like when she giggles about her murders with a smile while nica has to act like she's still possessed by chucky WHILE playing cards with her.
The scene comes to a somewhat sudden shift in conversation when Tiff reveals that she's known Nica was there since she first regained control of her body. She knew it was her since she stabbed Nica in the thigh and Nica didn't feel a thing (paralysed by the waist down) then comes the shocking notion announced to Nica from tiff, being that Tiff actually likes her more that she likes Chucky. All of Nica's cunning acting, trying to seem like Chucky in front of Tiff was for nothing because Tiff was just playing with her all along the dynamic between the 3 is so interesting to analyze and it gets even stranger in the 2nd season
Since Tiff is still a psycho and a killer at heart, she can't handle the idea of letting Nica go,but, since Chucky's soul is still in Nica's body Tiff had to find a way to "disarm" Chucky The most heart wrenching scenes in the tv show,to me at least,is the one at the ending of season 1.It reveals that Tiff drugged Nica and cut off her limbs, making it so that Chucky cant harm Tiff in Nica's body Nica is one of my favorite characters and to see her headstrong resolve shatter when she realized what had happen to her is so unnerving Her character doesn't disappear from the show though, she's kept alive in Tiffany's house, captive the beggining of season 2 reveals that tiff had been keeping Nica and taking care of her for the better part of a year Nica still keeping with her character of sarcastically witty even in the face of insanity, she suprisingly still has the energy to keep her bitterness towards Tiff despite the horrid things she'd been put through Thankfully Nica gets back on her feet (pun intended) when Tiff's kid,Glen (in human form since should transfer to human body + Glenda's there too) breaks Nica out of Tiffs house and gives her her wheel chair back with the addition of prosthetic arms to help her use her wheelchair

Okay, I got this Idea after seeing some Jevon fanart, but hear me out
What If Chucky splits part of his soul Into Lydia sometime during S2, S3, or the AU and It's a whole new re-do of the Chucky!Nica plot, but It's Chucky!Lydia? And the whole gang has to find a whole new way to get him out of her because It's not as easy as when Nica was possessed?
Oh and there's totally a parallel of THIS scene, but with Chucky!Lydia & Junior, Jake, Coraline, Devon, Lexy, or Jules. (Probably Chucky!Lydia with Jake or Junior to narrow It down though)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Honestly, a Chucky!Jules AU could be fun too, but Idk. I've been missing my girl, Lydia, lately and have been wanting to write for her. Honestly, what If Chucky split his soul Into BOTH OF THEM?? That way, It's ten times harder for the gang to catch two of their loved ones who have both been possessed??
I really wanna write/Rp this now because It sounds like such an Interesting AU
Omgggg that would be insane! Ngl, I’ve thought about a Chucky!Junior AU just because of the emotional torment Junior would go through (and the slight parallel where Alice Pierce helped Chucky and then he possessed her, later it happening again with Junior helping Chucky and then he decides to possess him anyway to make him more ‘useful’ since he’s already a killer), but that would be so cool too!!

Take My Breath Away | Chucky!Nica Pierce x Reader
Ok, I’m assuming that spooky season is already over, but since my obsession with Fiona Dourif and Chucky movies is growing faster this week, I thought it was a good idea to do an imagine with her (please guys write more of herrrrrr I’m in need!)

And turns out it’s a smut. So... It’s on your choice. I’m not good at writing smuts, especially when it contains a lot of NSFW but I hope this is good. (MINORS PLEASE DNI I DON’T KNOW IF IT’S SAFE!)
Enjoy!
Got any requests? Send me an ask!

You didn't mind being held hostage at Tiffany Valentine's house at all. In fact, you weren't afraid of her, not like everyone else was, let alone intimidated by the weird aura of the star who looked too much like Jennifer Tilly.
But your biggest motivation was definitely the woman beside her.
The two of you have felt an immediate connection since you met, ever since Tiffany slapped you handsomely on the head and brought you passed out to her house just for the fun of it.
As the days went by at Tiffany's, you were getting comfortable (as far as possible), and she and the brunette girl were treating you better than you could have imagined. Tiffany would always remind  - you knew with little effort - to bring you food in your room and leave you free to move around with the other locked hostages. And their visits were frequent (when you couldn't hear them having sex and had to force yourself to see the scenes).
Also, you ended up discovering some more information about the brunette girl, something that helped you from the start. In Tiffany's carelessness, she ended up waking up from a kind of coma and told you that she was Nica Pierce, and that she had a murder doll possessing her body transiting and dominating being hers for two weeks. When the sane man gave her a good smack on the head, Nica ended up switching bodies with the doll, Chucky, and her domineering personality revealed itself again.
But it all happened in a way you didn't plan for it to happen. You ended up liking kind and suffering Nica more than her Chucky personality. In fact, you realized you were falling in love with Nica, and you were terrified of what it would do to you.
It wouldn't be a good thing, you were sure.
Nica managed, after a while, to have almost complete control over her body and soul, and now she moved less between the two personalities, especially when she was around you. She pretty much only took on Chucky's soul around Tiffany, for the sake of appearances, and you helped her, always with the same bloodstained knife in your hand, when she came into the room looking for something too trivial.
It turned out that you were more involved than you should have been, and of course you let desire and feeling speak louder in those new days. Nica kissed you, Nica took care of you, and Nica fucked you so many times when Tiffany couldn't hear her that it was impossible not to fall in love even more. She was always very careful with you, making sure the Chucky personality didn't come out at the wrong times.
Then, when you were done, when you finally cum and snuggled into her arms, Nica would regain the puppet's soul and keep tricking Tiffany as much as she wanted, always telling you you'd keep the knife close.
It was a dangerous game, but you loved playing with that sort of thing.
* * *
“Oh Nica... please!” you whispered, holding back your urge to explode, but she smiled slightly as she carefully removed her fingers from your pussy and looked at you with those clear eyes and a crooked smile. “I'm coming! I'm coming!”
“Shhhh, love, you're going to wake up Tiff,” she whispered, chuckling in your ear as a tease — once in a while that happened — and you couldn't hold back any longer.
Nica sucked her fingers much more calmly and stood up, snuggling into your bare chest as she touched your cheeks lightly. Your breathing was uneven, but after hugging her, it always got better. The problem was that it was always short-lived when that happened.
"Tiff must be calling me," she said, looking up at the sky. It was morning, the two of you had slept cuddled in bed and didn't even realize that time had passed. You tried to pull her, but she resisted and smiled, coming to kiss you one last time. “I promise I'll be right back, babygirl, don't worry. Keep the knife close, please..."
You nodded, covering your naked body and looking at her, when Nica turned and rolled her eyes. “I always forget! (Y\NN), give me a nice slap on the head, let's go”, she asked, this time in a not-so-gentle voice. “It won't hurt, don't worry. Slap me on the head so I can go back to being Chucky!”
She came closer to you, and bringing your lips closer to her in a kiss, a peck, Nica watched as your closed hand hit her temple with a well-aimed punch. Chucky screamed and fell off the bed, apparently unharmed.
“Holy shit… how I hate all this shit… Hiya, hottie,” he whispered as he got up off the floor, brand new. He still had Nica's face, and that turned you on more than usual. “See ya in a minute!”
Saying that, Nica/Chucky closed the door in front of you and let you breathe, although you no longer remember how to do it.
* * *
It was already dark, you were sincerely waiting for her to come back, but Nica hadn't gone upstairs yet, and you were tired of waiting for that door to open. Alone, you stripped off your clothes and lay down on your bed, thanking heaven Tiffany had been too good to let you live.
Of course, you suspected that there was a hidden interest in that good deed, but at the same time, this was not the time to think about it.
The door opened and Nica walked in, being Chucky, practically half-naked in front of you. You were staggering in your bed and could barely see her properly.
"Look, if you're not the hottest hostage in this room...", he smirked. “I give every reason Nica likes you so much, you know? You're a hottie, I'd fuck with you if it were still me..."
You ran your hands over the bed and found the knife easily, even dizzy. Handing it over to her with a wide smile, you saw Nica change her expression and fall onto the bed, her legs still.
She lifted her head and smiled, being her again, and kissed you more tenderly.
“The thing I hate most in the world is having sex with Tiffany,” she grumbled, as she kissed you with all the desire inside her. “I mean, she's beautiful and she has an amazing body, but I'm not Chucky. I don't really like her, I just pretend I do..."
Nica moved closer to her ear, taking advantage. "She doesn't taste like you do... My favorite taste, definitely not."
And then, you took her lips in a kiss again. It was a needy kiss, mostly because of the delay, but it was getting slow and lukewarm because of your tiredness from having to wait for her. Nica noticed this and opened her mouth several times to apologize, but you never let go.
"We don't need to have sex today if you don't want to...", she smiled, worried about you. "I know you're tired, my love, you can sleep with me until I need to go back downstairs, okay?"
She hugged you and you helped her move her legs up to snuggle you closer this time. However, far from her knowledge, Nica's eyes turned distant and stared at the  Good Guy miniature doll on the dressing table. Her smile turned into a cruel, sneering smile. And her eyes sparkled the still eyes of the doll again.
The knife, you needed to find the knife now...
But apparently, with Nica/Chucky holding you, you couldn't find her anywhere. You felt like that was the end of you when you heard his laugh echoing in your ear in the sexiest way possible.
"Ah...sweet good smell of feminine perfume...", she whispered, as he did. Her hair and her body suddenly stood on end. “Guess Nica won't mind if I fuck you now, will she? Neither she, nor Tiff, that daughter of a...”
“That's not your body, Chucky!” you yelled. “Bring Nica back!”
“Where's your knife, babygirl? Hm?” she whispered, still like him, and gave another evil laugh. "Well, then we'll have to go on without her anyway, what a pity..."
Nica's lips, like Chucky, brushed against yours with enormous violence, and suddenly she was no longer the sweet dominatrix she used to lie beside her in bed every day. You didn't know the taste of her lips, you didn't know her kisses, but you were aware that her body would react in a less rational way than this.
Fatigue seized her deeply as Nica/Chucky threw herself on top of you and ruffled your hair, tugging at it with need as she kissed you. Nica/Chucky was ripping all of your clothes off and throwing them on the floor, just like he did with the few he/Nica wore afterwards.
But of course the best - or worst - part was yet to come.
And when he thrust his fingers inside your pussy again, your eyes dilated and glowed to an extreme level. You wanted to scream, you wanted to beg Nica to come back, but at the same time, you were so overwhelmed by that feeling of confusion that you didn't even care anymore.
“Tell me what you want, hottie,” Nica/Chucky whispered in your ear, acting less calmly. “Just fucking tell me.”
“I want…you,” you whispered, still confused and lost.
Nica/Chucky smiled and introduced her fingers again, not before taking the opportunity to kiss you, scratching your exposed back and kissing your neck leaving you with long marks.
“You don't want Nica back, do you?” he whispered, teasing again.
"No...", you confessed, caught off guard. "No, I do not want."
His laugh echoed in your ear and as he lessened the scratching, realizing you were coming, he smiled cruelly and at the same time divine, the eyes that were Nica's practically possessing your body without asking and without even entering it. .
“Fine, now come to me babygirl…be a good girl,” he whispered, and you didn't hesitate. "Let me taste you soon, let's go."
“With pleasure, m-mommy...”
The word simply slipped from your lips, and he laughed once more, letting you come, completely mad. Touching Nica/Chucky's naked body once more, you felt the knife stuck in her panties and pulled up as she hugged you and breathed in your scent.
Nica passed out for a few seconds and looked at you curiously.
“God…” you whispered, hoping she didn't find out.
"What was that? How long have I…”
"Don't worry, love, you've been gone for a few minutes..." You lifted your arm, breathing unevenly, to check your watch. “Almost an hour.”
Nica looked at you again. "Oh no, don't tell me he..."
"I think you should really be more careful when you take your feelings to your soul, Nica...", you smiled teasingly. "It was kind of weird, despite your voice and sexy face you have, having sex with him... like... fuck, he's a beast."
She widened her eyes. "Oh no. Don't tell me you liked it?"
You didn't know what to tell her, so you shrugged.
“Please, anything but this, fuck…” she whispered. “I can't bear to lose my girl to this doll trapped inside me. I fucking can’t bear."
“Am I your girl?”, you whispered too, in her ear.
And Nica kissed you, a remnant of Chucky's laugh escaping her lips right in your ear. “You will always be my girl, babygirl… Always. Even though I'm possessed by a perverted doll..."
You guys laughed together, ready for a second round. Only this time without the adrenaline rush of angry fingers and Chucky's laughter inside you. Unless of course, when it ended up turning into a kink between you.
Within four walls, maybe that would be worth it, if that would take your breath away.

once again i will reiterate.
nica pierce as an avatar of the hunt.
that scene in 2x08 where she’s taunting tiffany and tells her she’ll give her a head start? the way she grins, the way she revels in tiffany’s fear? “i love what you’ve done to your hair.” she enjoys it because tiffany doesn’t know where she is, only that she will come for her.
and now this season we’ve got this:
“i’m going to be there when the curtain goes up. i’m going to watch you die, and then i’m going to roll this chair all over your fucking grave!”
that is some hunt level dedication.

Assorted Thoughts about the Greater Boston Season 4 finale
I'd assumed that Leon would 'move on' at the end of Season 5, the end of the podcast as a whole. But now we're going to have a whole season of the podcast without him. It's strange to imagine. There's never been a Greater Boston podcast without Leon Stamatis. There's never been a city of Red Line without Leon Stamatis. We began Season 1 confronting the gap that Leon left behind. We learned that he wasn't quite as gone as we might have thought, but there was still the loss, the grief, the consequences of his death. In an interesting narrative symmetry, at the beginning of Season 5 we'll have to confront him being more fully, completely gone. But I think we'll continue to see the ways in which his life and afterlife have rippled outwards.
~~
Immediately after Nica said Leon had brought people together "like a family", Louisa exclaimed that she needed to call Michael. I can't help wondering if it was Nica's comment that triggered that thought for Louisa. I'm emotional about Michael being family for Leon, Michael being family for Louisa, Michael being someone who was brought into Louisa's life by Leon…
~~
There were two moments of Nica and Dimitri sitting with Gemma in the middle of them holding the crystal ball. First, in the back of Lucia's car, when Nica reached out to touch the ball and Dimitri took her hand instead. Second, on the Ferris wheel as they prepared to say goodbye to Leon. Leon was in the middle between his two siblings - he is what divides them and he is what unites them. They held hands over him, finding awkward togetherness in the presence of their loss, stopping each from succumbing to that loss. Leon was in the middle between his two siblings, but he also wasn't; it was Gemma occupying that space for him.
On a related note, I can't help but wonder whether the Stamatis siblings had habitual positions when they'd sit in the back of a car together as children. I think that's a fairly common sibling thing, and it seems likely that it would appeal to the order-loving Leon. I can't decide if it makes me more emotional to imagine that they usually sat with Leon in the middle like that, or to imagine how they sat on that ferris wheel wasn't their typical childhood order.
~~
The lack of narration and the high number of monologues from a range of characters this episode meant that sometimes I wasn't initially sure whether a scene was an interview snippet from a real person or a monologue from a character. I think there's something significant in that blurring of reality and fiction, in real stories of loss mixed with the fictional. Those interviewees are a part of this story, or this story is a part of our world too.
~~
I loved Michael's mantra being spoken by the group, with each person taking one word. For Michael, that sequence of numbers was a way of asserting his own agency in spite of circumstances and his ideas about his nature. It was a way of saying 'my choices matter, even if I can't change the outcome'. And this moment showed how that idea can be upheld within through community and togetherness.
Michael spoke the word "Eight". And perhaps he wanted other people to take over, trusting that the people around him would complete his mantra, believing that they'd understand what he needed in that moment. Or perhaps he was intending to speak the mantra by himself until Louisa interrupted to support him. Either way there's a uniquely powerful kind of choice made against an indifferent world - the choice for people to stand against that world together. It's a contrast with Michael's often self-isolating tendencies for that mantra to become a shared thing.

CHUCKY AUTISM???? thats such a great concept i love it pls indulge me
Tumblr media
OK OK SO SO SO! obligatory disclaimer that this is all based on my experience as an autistic person and therefore won't resonate with everyone, but still! here's just... off the top of my head, based on my autism-fuelled chucky character analyses:
special interests/fixations: was at least semi-fixated on peter pan from ages 8 to 14, if not longer. his childhood bedroom had peter pan stuff in it, his parents shared names w certain characters, he read it to the younger kids in the orphanage, he played games w the other kids based on it (w himself as peter n the younger kids as the lost boys), and he themed his second ever murder after it (turning an adult whom he hated/felt antagonised by into captain hook). sure you could maybe argue that this is just a Regular Interest, but i'm including it anyway. he also later insists that his interest in magic is "just a hobby", but fast forward a few years and he has the spells memorised, carries the book around with him everywhere, etc etc.
hyperexpressive: this is absolutely a side effect of being played by brad dourif (and fiona dourif emulating him), but as a human, chucky has THE most cartoonish and obvious facial expressions. he would suck at poker, his face is just too expressive. he's also pretty emotive in his mannerisms, which luckily carries over to his doll forms (e.g. the way he physically jolts forwards and throws his arms down when he's angry)
emotional dysregulation: ...do i need to elaborate on this one?
parroting/echolalia: definitely a little bit of me projecting with this one, but still. even when he's using his own voice, he sometimes recites lines of the doll's dialogue ("hi! i'm chucky, wanna play?" "hi-de-fuckin'-ho, ha ha ha" etc) - and sure, sometimes it's to freak people out, but i have that dialogue as a vocal stim and therefore relate just a tad. he also is rlly uncannily good at mimicking people (most notably nica) and whilst anyone can have that ability, i do find it's easier to pick up people's accents if you tend to mimic people by default.
caroline parallels: one of the characters chucky is paralleled against is caroline, who is openly autistic and has chucky as her special interest. she, like how jake is used to parallel teen chucky, is used as a direct parallel for child chucky. they also get along pretty well in the present day - chucky seems genuinely fond of her, plays video games with her, openly discusses his plans with her, etc. and seems to understand her in a way other characters don't.
self harm: gonna be as vague as possible here to avoid potential triggers. over 50% of autistic people are recorded as having self harmed for one reason or another. chucky has canonically done this since he was 8 (it's not discussed or shown whether he continued throughout the rest of his life, but given his therapist was actively attempting to make his issues worse, it wouldn't surprise me). again, obviously allistic children will do this as well, but i figure it's worth mentioning as it's atypical behaviour.
stims: kicking his legs around. that wiggly arm-wavey dance thingy he does when he's excited. that scene in the 80s of tiff stabbing that girl, and he's physically jolting back and forth and doing stabbing motions next to her.
eye contact: too much of it! he barely blinks, even as a human, and he stares people directly in the eyes. sure, this might be an intimidation thing, but i doubt he's self-aware enough for that. (he also wears sunglasses indoors, which you could spin as either an eye contact thing or a light sensitivity thing, depending.)
empathy: could go to either extreme with this one, tbh! depends on the chucky (and yes, this is where the soul-splitting complicates things).
morality: autistic people tend to be very moral, yes, but we don't always adhere to traditional moral codes. a lot of autistic people view intentional and accidental harm as the same level of severity, and therefore view harmful acts as less morally reprehensible than the average person might. chucky talks about murder as if it's something everybody does, and as if other people are no better than him for much less immoral acts. he still has morals (no killing kids, no homophobia, sexual abusers deserve the most painful deaths, etc), just different ones.
code switching: ok, full disclosure, i'm fully aware that this is a continuity error/a character choice being made later in the series - but still! chucky's accent throughout the franchise switches. between new jersey (assumedly his natural voice, since that's where he's from) and chicago (where he and tiff lived, and where he ended up dying). autistic people will commonly mimic the accents or speech patterns of people around them as a form of masking - it makes sense that when he's in chicago, surrounded by chicagoans, he drops his accent, whereas when he's with tiff, whom he met back in new jersey, he switches back. (again, the irl meta reason for this change is that chucky's new jersey accent was added later on to poke fun at don mancini, but if i had to argue an in-universe explanation for it, then this is what i'd go with.)
ok i probably have more to add later but i'm gonna stop there for now! again, this is all just headcanon and speculation, and obviously not everyone will agree, but yk.

What are your thoughts on Nica within the Season 2 of Chucky?
augh the torment is insane. to be clear i genuinely dont consider the dismemberment + season 2 canon. but 😪 WELL man ok. so i really did like how she interacts with tiffany in season two. i liked that you could see her emotionally antagonizing tiffany and trying to manipulate her. like when shes like "when you first took me here i felt so lucky! i thought i was gonna get to live with a real movie star. but now i know the truth. youre pathetic" LIKE ERMM OK!! i loved it. even in a non dismemberment universe i think nica being very cruel to tiffany starting off is sooo essential. i do think she needs to tell her repeatedly to kill herself i really do.
nica was criminally underutilized in this season and its sooo obvious that don had absolutely no clue what to do with nica after dismembering her +_+ fiona even mentions that don . literally regrets doing this. theres not much you can do with her at this point X_X its actually so upsetting to me .. all this because he wanted to be a little silly? fuck offfff
but yeah um. i think her writing in the beginning of the season was very flat and not really doing anything and then they decided to make her go all crazy assassin at the end and its just. thats not nica to meee. for the love of god i want nica pierce back. "im not a murderer." goddd i cant take it its just so painful watching a character you like be dragged through the mud. also those robo arms shes wearing are so fuck ugly and impractical it makes me so irritated. FIONA BABY WE CAN GET YOU OUTA THERE.
oh also um one more thought i think don mancini is not understanding how incredibly fucked up and traumatized nica would be from the dismemberment and everything it entails. 😐. like can he sit down and think about it. everything that she would need tiffany to do for her. IM GONA BE SICK ITS SOOO UPSETTING TO ME.
also um this isnt what u asked but i thought nicachucky flopped this season... idk if other people felt like that but i did nawt think it was on the same caliber as how good he was in season 1 + cult....... sorry fiona shes such a slay actress but im really going to be blaming don for this ^_^ she can do no wrong to me if she acts a scene amazing don had nothing to do with it and if something flopped um. don youre over.
