About Episodes 7 and 8...MASSIVE SPOILERS!!

Initial thoughts (because if I talk about EVERYTHING right now you'll be here for at least half an hour)...

WHAT THE HELL?!

I mean I loved getting to watch the season finale, don't get me wrong. But I have just as many grievances as things I loved about it and also SO MUCH happened?!?!?!

Charlie: Loved getting to see her be all demon-y, I've been waiting all season. Also loved her and the cannibals (especially Rosie!!!). So glad she got to work w/ Luci to protect the hotel <333 She and Vaggie are adorable too.

Vaggie: I really enjoyed watching her and Carmilla's song, that was cool. Protecting her girlfriend, very cute. I liked seeing her and Lute have that little face-off.

Husk: Sad that we didn't get to see much of him, but I get it. His interactions with the others were sweet (especially Angel). I loved the one line he got to sing on his own in that last song of episode 8. 😍

Angel: Ngl I am very glad he wasn't the one to die. It would've been a fun little "oh crap" moment but I really didn't want to be right. He's still got business down there. His interactions with the others here are everything to me, and he's just grown so much and aaaaaa. It's lovely to see! I love him more and more with every episode.

Niffty: YOU GO, GIRL!!!! Love to see the stabbing. I also really loved the...one line Nifty got. Kimiko Glenn's voice is a gift, I freaked out over getting to hear one line. Anyway. not much else to say other than I definitely thought it was Alastor doing a big "oh look, I'm alive!" thing when Adam got stabbed, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Cherri Bomb/Sir P: I was surprised, to say the least, when Cherri and Sir P had that little moment. Glad they got it before he went and DIED. Cherri is such a good friend to Angel and she's great. Now, onto Sir P...WOW, OKAY. Glad we know Charlie's plan isn't completely stupid. Wonder how Sera's gonna react to him being there now, lol.

The Vees: FIRST OFF, VOX?????? "This is better than sex!" 💀💀💀 Truly was not expecting to see as much of the Vees as we did. Not complaining though. It was...interesting...to say the least, watching Vox get as excited as he did over the prospect of Al dying (still as obsessed as ever, fr). Not at all surprised to see Val and Vox have a thing going, I figured from the interactions we've seen so far. Them dancing together was silly, them practically making out was less so 😃. Also, gotta continue the love for Velvette--putting up with these two idiots must take a lot. Also also, her HAIR! HER HAIR!! EEEEE

Lucifer: I reallllyyyyyy enjoyed seeing Luci make a return to help Charlie, even if it was in one of those "last-minute saves" that I usually hate. Idk, makes sense here I guess because he's probably always watching over Charlie some way. ALSO LUCI AND CHARLIE GOING ALL DEMON-Y TOGETHER WAS <33333333 I really loved him starting off that last song in episode 8, and telling Charlie that he believes in her. It was so sweet. I love Luci sm, hoping he becomes a more integral part of the crew in s2.

Adam/Lute/Lilith: HAHA HOW DOES IT FEEL TO LOSE??? Lute got what she deserved with the whole...arm thing. ALSO WHAT--JUST GONNA CASUALLY DROP LILITH IN HERE NOW? Sure, fine, whatever, totally cool. Not sure how to feel about Lilith atm so moving on. I dunno why I was so shocked upon seeing Adam's face. I guess I expected him to...not look as good as he does? Also so upset that he broke Al's staff. How rude. He sucks.

Rosie: Not how I expected her to sound, but I'm most certainly not disappointed. I don't have much to say other than I loved literally everything about her. No complaints--at least not yet ig, need to go back and rewatch the episodes critically. Her and Alastor is everything to me, and seeing them dance was <333333 I cannot express my excitement over it enough.

Alastor: Saved him for last because yes. If I wasn't limiting myself to a short paragraph for each, I'd be writing a whole essay just about Al, I swear....CANNOT believe what just happened omg. Not only did we get to see silly Al in episode 7, but we got to see scary (and scared) Al in episode 8. He's really freaking out, it's so entertaining! I'm so glad it wasn't him who died, I started getting a bit worried for a minute there....His relationship with Rosie is aaaaa, best of besties fr. Fighting Adam scene was glorious. Making Vox act like an idiot even when not trying was funny to watch (Vox's obsession with this guy is so silly). Him retreating sure was a move, but I'm glad he didn't get all stubborn and end up dying. Him ranting a bit in his section of the final song was so...AAAAAAA. Man is so scared, he looks stressed as can be. I need to see Alastor just have an external breakdown because he honestly feels like he's on the verge of one. 💀

(long post, sorry for the random people stumbling upon this lol)

so I'm the dm for the chatty hobbits campaign and essentially it's set in a beleriand-adjacent continent, but with a few extra races and stuff. of the founders of the original settlements, the king of elende (the elf kingdom) is Gil-galad's (invented for the campaign) twin brother Finellach/Finwain. originally he was inspired by the fact that gil galad has a ton of names but only uses ereinion/gil, so I just invented a new character and gave him half the names. I headcanon gil galad as maglor's son, so finwain is in universe maglor's son (left at the havens with gil bc his wife divorced him for kinslaying and his kingdom, being next door neighbors with morgoth, is far too dangerous for small children).

Anyways, his descendant Elinyel (also known as aramire or elinnor) is the current queen of Elende! she's an evil fire-themed bard who is extremely feanorian in all the worst ways - her actual kingdom prospered under her reign, but she just does not care about everyone else as long as she's protecting her people. There were some tensions with one of the major kingdoms to the north (conflict over unclaimed territory between the kingdoms and some tariff stuff), so instead of risking the other kingdom starting a war and hurting her people, she just preemptively invaded it and started burned all the border territories to the ground.

her actual coronation was pretty weird- so she's the second child, but her older sister was born in wartime and there's a general belief in elende that children of peacetime make better rulers, so Elinyel was chosen as her family's heir. her grandfather (the crown prince of his generation) died defending Elende in one of the major wars, but his younger brother and two young kids survived. there's a whole feud between their houses because the brother chose to retain the kingship even after the kids were old enough to take the throne. anyways, two generations later Elinyel killed her cousin Arendil (the previous king of Elende) over a dispute about the legitimacy of his house (and what she believed to be a dishonoring of her grandparents' sacrifice) and took the throne.

obviously she has many Issues. arendil also has two surviving kids who are now essentially trying to stop her from murdering all their neighbors in proactive defense of her people.

however, when she first ascended she recruited her friend group as her elite guard/vassals of the kingdom. (aka the other bosses in the storyline). so it escalated to a war between her forces and the children of arendil, which ultimately culminated in her beloved sister being killed by one of arendil's children. this in turn led to her having basically a massive mental breakdown and feeling like she failed to protect her loved ones (exacerbated by some of her other friends being killed in battles she led). a normal person might decide this is was kind of her fault for starting a war and putting her friends in charge of the army. instead she decided she needed to destroy everyone who could ever potentially pose a threat. which is, in her eyes, literally everyone on the continent (except for her kingdom, of course).

so now she is at war with absolutely everyone of all factions! She is also somehow winning by virtue of Song almost on the level of maglor himself, and ten (now six) also incredibly powerful friends. Anyways, she has decided that the best way to wipe out the continent (except her kingdom) and start fresh is to literally find an ancient lost stone that can break the Doors of Night, summon Morgoth himself, and start the Dagorath. obviously this will Not go well for anyone at all if she succeeds, but she is on a full-on rampage and genuinely believes she (plus friends) can protect her kingdom from Morgoth's army while he wipes out everyone else.

#asks #THANK YOU FOR THIS BTW #i only have 1 friend irl who plays dnd and is also not affiliated with the campaign #and they aren't a silm person #so i cannot talk w anyone irl about the Lore #one of the few kingdoms who could really oppose her is the magic one #bc max level wizards might as well be ainur and the monarch of the magic kingdom is Very Powerful #however. said monarch is also the twin sibling of one of elinyel's friends #(who is also an evil lich now and also maybe dating a diff friend who is an evil sorceror? not sure of details yet) #so the super powerful battlemage monarch is remaining Politically Neutral so they don't have to fight their literal evil twin #currently the party is level 6 and just defeated the very-weakened wraith of one of the friends #she was a druid but sort of decayed when she was corrupted and was kidnapping untrained/low level sorcs as servants to siphon power from #and also living in the Grove of Resurrection in order to stay intact #i forgot her dialogue while running the battle so while i looked through my docs i just had her say 'loading please wait' lol #also more chatty hobbit stuff #the grove is a huge grassy area with a walking tree in the middle #so the whole thing is constantly roaming aroudn #the wraith-druid had her castle built on it so she could have a moving castle that also heals her #the grassy part will resurrect any dead thing put on it #for the battle they had to drag her off the grass in order to kill her #technically shes been dead for some years but is surviving via constant contact w the grove #the hobbit (Shade) is from the Alder family who has historically been the guardians of the grove #he discovered he could talk to the tree in the middle and immediately started trying to figure out a way he could use the grove to #clone one of the party members #the tree does not approve of intentionally cutting off people's arms to see if it regenerates into a clone lol #oh! and they found anglachel in the grove. the dragonborn monk wants to keep it

Have more of the trapped in an elevator fic that's casually nicknamed put them in the pressure cooker fic, it's looking like a how long can I make them circle around the fact that they are in love with each other and just think the other doesn't feel the same way and pulling back when things get too serious and that's literally called "it's gravity after all" because for once in my life, one of my fics has a title and that title it's not a song I added in the end just because a work needs a title. prev snippet (the pov in this is alternating and I'm making this thing where they are following each other's train of thought even if they don't know and ugh if I can make this look like it does in my head is gonna be SO GOOD also I'm googling so much stuff to give Buck random facts it's kinda funny)

Not that he's sure he manages. “Yeah,” he nods and Buck keeps looking at him while shifting around on the floor, pulling one of his knees up and resting his arm on top of it, hesitating for a bit before speaking. “Did you know that the number of people who got struck by lightning is that high because most statistics count being hit by the charge getting released from the first point of contact as getting struck too?” “Huh?” Eddie frowns because that wasn't what he thought Buck would say.  “One lightning can hit more than one person,” Buck shrugs, “statistically speaking, if you got thrown off the truck after the lightning hit, we both got struck by lightning that day, your turnout was just more efficient in insulating you from the charge than it was for me since I was the first point of contact, and you got hit by the side flash of the electricity leaving the metal,” he says as if it was just another thing he had gotten caught up researching and Eddie shakes his head once he realizes he's staring at him, trying to organize his thoughts long enough to say something. “Did you research every possible thing you could about lightning after you woke up?”

so my mind thought of f!reader as a friend with minsung, a stay that just became friend with the couple and she usually make company to them when they record, and jisung - he's a brat ofc - need to tease them both and he do that gesture to provoke them. I thought of f!reader as a fan of chase Atlantic and in that moment her mind need to go CRAZY with fantasies and Minho need to enjoy Jisung's tease.

Well, back after watching that sexy tiktok..

As a Stay, Reader lives for these moments. To her, there's no greater honour than getting to see the song recordings and dance practices in person. Of course she doesn't have absolute freedom there and there's a number of things she can't do while she visits (you know, privacy and all), but at least she can keep these memories for herself and treasure them. Obviously, she's always with Han and Minho since they're the whole reason she's allowed there, and most times they bring her in when the members aren't around, so they have some company and hear second opinions from a fan perspective.

It's only an excuse for them to have her close because they're pining heavily and don't know how to handle it

Reader is happily attending the recording with Minho by her side, both watching Jisung do his part with the rest of 3Racha supervising it. Before that, she had been with Minho in the practice room admiring his dancing while the rest of members were out for a break (they all know what's going on and they secretly agreed to give Minho some privacy with her), and when he deemed it enough work for the day, he got a message from Han asking them to come because he feels more confident when they're there, and of course Reader couldn't refuse seeing 3Racha in action.

So there they stood, Reader sitting on the couch with Minho right beside her, her legs over his lap as he traced lines from her ankles to her calves. Haven't she been so focused on the other boys working, she wouldn't have been able to hide her nervousnes. Just his posture alone made her squeal internally, with one strong arm casually thrown around the couch head and his legs spread, and those smooth patterns he draw on her with this delicate fingers were going to kill her. His outfit wasn't exactly helping either; the infamous black t-shirt with a par of damned shorts. Luckily, his gaze was focused somewhere else too, because if their eyes locked she would've crumbled right there and then.

Thank god Jisung's voice brings her back to reality, smiling when the boy makes a goofy sign to them as he enters the recording booth. Minho shakes his head, but he still chuckles fondly at the display. As soon as Jisung got into action, all attention was on him. Reader was in awe when he started rapping and fixed her posture to watch him closely, missing Minho's pout when her legs fell off his lap. However, when Jisung threw a mischevious look at them while doing that gesture with his hands, both of their minds freezed.

It was only when he repeated it that Reader knew it was real and not an hallucination from her delulu brain. She felt Minho tense beside her, and her skin felt like it was burning. She could have let is slide, convince herself it was a random motion the boy did with his fingers and with no subtle meaning, but his small smirk and his gaze pierced on them told a different story. It wasn't really the first time. You see, there has been this...tension between these two and her for the past months, and so it became somehow usual for Jisung or Minho to pull stunts like this that made her melt inside. But they never did it in front of others, in a public space, while working no less. God, Chan and Changbin were right there too for fuck's sake! She felt embarrassed, but looking at the men, they didn't seem shocked or disgusted. "He probably does this often when Minho is around" her mind supplied.

Minho wasn't doing it much better, although he wasn't as surprised as Reader. Of course he was used to his boyfriend's antics already, and he knew the boy didn't care about having public. He felt glad the weak lighting and the pillows hide his arousal, his mind running wild at the memories that gesture illicited. However, there was an added allicient this time: Her. His head drifted to her squirming form, her cute eyes wide open and her legs kicking subtily. He notices her reddened cheeks and has to repress the urge to touch her face, to see how warm she got. Knowing Jisung caused this, that they both can cause it, only fuels his desire more. If the other two weren't present, he would've succumb to his instincts.

Meanwhile, the rapper was watching everything unfold from the booth and he couldn't hide his satisfied grin. He barely listened to Chan and Changbin's instructions when he ended, his attention mostly on his handsome, aroused partner, and their lovely friend whom they fantasized of turning into something more. They knew the effect they had on her, they just wanted her to break first. She was still a Stay, after all, and they used that fan-like adoration for them to their advantage.

Reader tried desesperatly to be unbothered, but her brain betrayed her. She pictured hundreds of hot, spicy scenarios after what Jisung did and she had to turn her head sideways to hide her blush from them because holy shit, she thanked god humans weren't telepaths. She imagined what it would feel like having those fingers repeat that same motion inside her, feeling them curls withing her walls until they found her g-spot. Imagined how it could be to have Minho's muscular legs caging her on the sofa, preventing her movement, while his hands travelled her sides and Jisung had his way with her. Maybe he could use that quick tongue of his for something else, maybe...

An exagerated couch disrupted her increasingly horny imagination, and she turned to see Minho's amused eyes watching her, his mouth cocked into that half-grin that drove Stays mad. His hand slowly moved towards the back of her knee, tracing circles there, as she felt her breath suddenly stop. He pull himself forwards until he got her trapped in the couch, pulling her knee to close the distance.

She was so busy trying to breath again that she didn't notice Jisung out of the recording booth and standing at her side, watching her from above with a dark smirk.

She felt dizzy, and the pool of warmness on her face went straight to between her legs.

- I completely love that Linda's reaction to the footage was 'didn't you feel like going out in it', meaning getting away from the fake India of spiritual enlightenment and just experiencing something possibly actually meaningful. Getting away from their forced 'retreat' of a locked compound, and actually just retreating somewhere real, and finding nature by being in it, not by being apart from it. She's perfect for Paul. (George's confused frown.)

- Probably the best bit of get back all around is the why don't we do it in the road monkey shag interlude. When I cut Get Back down to just the bearable bits that will be all that survives this day.

George: That is the biggest joke, to be yourselves. Cause that was the purpose of going there, to try and find who yourself really is. John: Yes, well we found out, didn't we? George: And if you were really yourself, you wouldn't be any of who we are now. Paul: Mm.

- I love John's interjection here, that George ignores, even though it's a good point. And I love Paul's face when George chooses to turn his honesty into a small ~meaningful point. Pft.

- Ringo's tea is too milky even for me, and I am judging him.

Personally I was a phenomenon

- George saying that the studio is producing a good sound, and George Martin having a little point about how Glyn is having something to do with that. <3 I love him.

- Is the Primrose Hill concert no longer possible because they asked for permission like idiots? Idiots.

- My stomach is just very sad whenever MLH starts talking.

- I don't even care any more that the big conversation is cut up and the reaction shots meaningless; the truth is probably dreadful.

- Paul's awareness in emotional collapse that there's not really anything wrong except that everything's wrong, so there's nothing anyone can do.

- The whole thing's so much, even when they're kind to each other.

- J: "No-one else wants to go on a stage, or do a tv show." He's talking about George, you know. They're so frightened to actually argue with George in case they open all his wounds, so they argue with each other about whether they should argue with George.

- It drives me mad, how quiet Ringo is, refusing to take part at all.

- I like Paul saying that to him it feels like they've got all the bad bit of being on the road now, because they're just in a room all the time, and he wants to do things not in a room. And John saying he does too, but he's accepted that the Beatles can't do that, so he's doing it with other people. Paul's really blocked on that because other people aren't as good as Beatles. Or not just that, but why be the Beatles at all if it's just the boring bit. I think that's what he's boiling down to, while the others are trying to find ways to still call something Beatles but without actually being Beatles. I don't know, I haven't thought anything through, I'm too sad.

I just want to go and have fun with it, rather than sort of, finish off exactly as we started.

- John tries to (kindly) say that it's just that it's stopped being the thing Paul wanted (because he compromised) and now it's more 'our' thing. And I don't understand what thing he thinks it is! It's not currently anyone's thing! Nobody has any idea what it is now, and that's what Paul's finding it hard to adjust to, the nothingness of it. They're literally just making an album in a hurry for no reason, and refusing to record it properly. Paul wanted to do something new, and challenging, but they've dragged it back down to ordinary.

- I love Glyn being so truly positive about what they're doing, though, and saying that even though various things haven't come off, what they're doing is still special because it's Beatles in a room! And I like John really agreeing with that, and getting that. He's so positive about the energy of the Beatles, throughout the doc, and it's sad that he won't fight for it in any meaningful way.

- John playing Lost My Little Girl is too much, it's too much. I can't be expected to. The feeling of it, when John slips into their songs from the past. So many songs that only John and Paul really knew the insides of and where they came from and what they meant, and ... just how much Paul lost when John died is unbearable, and we already knew that, I know that, but Get Back makes it too sharp and I hate everything. I was doing well at rewatching this thing but now I want to stop it and never look at it again please.

- Glyn and Michael crouching down in front of Paul like he's a little boy who's scraped his knee, talking nice to him.

- Glyn says in an interview that Ringo was the one who first showed him the roof. I assume Ringo's been hanging around up there, contemplating mortality while his band disintegrates downstairs. I like that he's found a solution that involves the absolute least travel humanly possible.

- Paul levering himself up on the roof, because he's a weird little creature of the world. So much happier when he's outside and free. MLH should have mandated twenty minutes of fresh air every day. Paul and Ringo having a little roof dance! <33 MLH trying to persuade Paul that they might have to ask for a tiny bit of permission. Hmf.

- Yes right, you were right about another verse. - Oh, he's right, you know. - He is right.

- Both John and George wanting Paul to do Let It Be the way it was, and Paul's little confusion because he has no idea what that was. <3

- It is lovely when sometimes George actually forces Paul to work out what his songs are doing, and helps him sort them into shape. He does it with Let It Be, and he did it with Get Back too. They're so good at working together in the few moments that they actually work together. (you see it most in George's songs when John is barely there.)

recently, the days have been blurring together for long enough that the first thing you do when you wake up every day is check the date. everything had become so monotonous since your boyfriend went overseas for his tour, and you were starting to get lonely and restless. you would text, and he would video call whenever possible, but it wasn't enough. you missed each other more than anything.

waking up in the morning, you saw that you had a text from jake. without even reading what he wrote in depth, you knew what it was about. you jumped out of bed, rushing to make sure everything was ready. tidying up last minute, you fought to hold back your smile as you started to change into the clothes you had set to the side, specifically for when this day came.

you hear the hinges of the door creak as soon as you finish the last touches to your outfit, smoothing out the creases in your shirt. taking a deep breath, you head out into the main room of your shared apartment. jake’s breath catches in his throat at the sight of your figure turning the corner, and there’s a few beats of silence where you and him just stand there, staring at each other.

once reality sets in, you’re running into jake’s embrace quicker than you ever thought possible. as you feel your boyfriend’s arms wrap around your torso, you break into happy tears. you cling to each other for what feels like an eternity, his face hidden in the crown of your hair as he holds back his own emotions.

"i can't believe you're actually home..."

jake chuckles at the comment that you somehow managed to get out between your heavy sobs and presses a soft kiss to your temple. gently stroking your back, he slightly pulls away so he can gently cup your face, wiping away the tears that continuously fall through your eyelashes. as soon as you look up at him, he can feel his façade start to break, a couple tears of his own making their way down his face.

“of course i’m home, angel.. you are my home. had you come on tour with us, i think i could’ve never stopped performing. home is wherever you are, y/n.”

had you not still been in jake's hold, his words likely would've made you collapse to your knees. you look at his infatuated expression for another couple of moments before tightly wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him into the deepest kiss you two have shared in months. smiling against your lips, jake kisses you back with just as much fervor, holding you as if you were milliseconds away from shattering.

you stay with him like that for what feels like a lifetime before pulling away, and jake instantly pulls you closer into another hug. he holds you tightly, swaying the two of you back and forth ever so slightly, keeping his lips pressed to your forehead in a long, loving kiss.

"words can't even begin to describe how much i missed you, baby..."

the rumbles of jake's voice resonating through your head sent chills down your spine, and you let out a quiet laugh as he gently runs his hands along your back. the hint of vanilla in his scent made you start to relax in his hold, and jake took that as a sign to slowly maneuver the two of you towards the couch.

siting down on the couch, jake gently pulls you into his lap as you cling to him. burying your face in his neck, you place feather light kisses onto the juncture between his neck and shoulder, and jake starts to gently run his fingers through your hair.

"i never wanna move from this spot ever again..."

letting out a quiet chuckle, jake manages to pull you even closer into his embrace.

"you know we'll have to move eventually, love.. this wouldn't be a comfortable position to sleep in.."

you giggle at your boyfriend's response, and he smiles, pressing a chaste kiss to your temple.

"i can't wait to sleep in the same bed as you again, jakey.. cuddling your pillow got old really fast.."

jake coos as you look up at him with a pout, gently cupping your cheeks. he mumbles a quick "you're so adorable.." before pressing a playful wet kiss to your lips. he laughs as you whine and wipe at your mouth with the back of your hand, starting to rub your back again as you rest your head against his shoulder.

"so, i fell for a little pillow thief, hm? well, now that i'm back home, you can just use me as your pillow instead~"

you roll your eyes and cuddle into jake further, and he looks down at you with a teasing glint in his eyes.

Great introduction to the queens! The problem with Uranium Suite and Fall Fair Suite is that Uranium depicts how people would see the choir (only on a surface level) while Fall Fair shows us how their actually like but doesn’t provide that much context as to that their a choir. However what Ex Wives does it that it shows them as individuals as well as clearly shows they CAN work as a group but they don’t get much individuality from it

AND ALL THE REMIXES. ALL SOMEHOW MANAGE TO SNEAK IN MORE GREENSLEVES. THE SYMBOLISM. THE MOTIFS. YESSSSSS

Already tells you the amazing humor of wit and sarcasm you can expect to see through out the musical

Lina is simple at first with a few strings, but has a lot of little bits added from time to time. It toys with the melody and what it can apply into the already catchy tune. Her intro is probably the one with the most inconsistency as it does not keep the added stuff going. It has a relatively low and steady beat but makes up for simplicity in vocal potency. ALSO JUST SO SAVAGE SHE ATE THAT UP FR FR. Just like No Way

Anne has a slightly higher and more excited melody. The Tempo is the same but serves less of a heavy role unlike Lina’s and is mainly just the supporting cast to the melody. While Anne’s vocals stay relatively high throughout at the end she goes lower and more sinister. Great audible storytelling! There’s little to no playing with what’s been set up and when there is it’s all subtle. As mentioned before the break is only at the end. It’s so cherry and cheeky but if you look at the lyrics it uh- kinda intense. Very DLYH if ask me

JANE SEYMOUR JUST IS PUN FILLED, THE JOKES. It perfectly sets her up to be the one overlooked and the more… patient and forgiving one of the group. She only ever snaps in one of the two fight scenes. Also the fact that she claimed she was the only one he truly love, while sadly likely to be true, also contrasts how loving and caring her sing ends up being with the slight cockiness that the line can be read as along with the infamous “RUDE!”. Her melody is the middle. The added wind pipes(?) later are the high. The tempo is a sort of balance from the higher notes. Her melody is so melancholy and monotone. It’s very Jane and very Heart of Stone fr fr let’s keep this greatness up!

ICH BEN ANNA VON CLEVES. This one does not disappoint either! You can already see the consistent parallels of Anna’s relationship with online dating throughout the song, so it’s good that’s it’s inky reinforced here but not much! Also Haus of Holbein foreshadowing so I guess that softens the whiplash somewhat- Also this intro if the only one where the other Queens serve vocals more than once, I guess you could connect it to how Get Down is the only song that has Anna going out of her way to get the Queens involved (THATS ISN’T BY U BEING PROBLEMATIC ANNE). Also Anna’s snarky comment at the end is ironic as she was probably the only one besides Cathy who didn’t have to deal with Henry in that aspect. Also very very simple only having the accordion, tempo, and clicks to compliment. Get Down!

PRICK UP YOUR EARS IN THE KATHRINE! WHO LOST HER HEAD! For the longest time I thought it was “beheaded; before I promised you I’d see outside of wed” referencing both how short her life and time with Henry was. But no it’s “promiscuity outside of wed“ 💀. Either works however! Kinda ironic that Kat is the one to interrupt Anna’s comment as… ya know… But anyways. The chord progression on this one is especially of note as it’s actual kinda different from AYWD. While AWYD goes High and ten descends, this one go High -> Lower -> Lower Medium -> Low. Interesting indeed! Long of stings and slashes to replace the clicks that Anna had! Also not sure but Tempo seems to be more dominant?

BAM TINY WHIPLASH STRAIT INTO A LAMENT BABY. Then it goes pop again as Cathy gains her balance. Notice how the beats don’t comeback until that point. The first two lines rather have the piano as the click clack. Past that THEN the tempo beats come back once Cathy is talking about and addressing them as a GROUP. She is the one to slide them back into the chorus after all! Foreshadowing as how she convince them to write fanfic- I mean reclaim their stories! Anyways as I saying, she’s probably the one who shakes it up the most. More foreshadowing!!! Also Pt. 1 of Cathy being an independent women’s who may or may not come off as slightly protective and clingy-. Still very IDNYL!

So to recap that giant section; it’s Good use of simplicity, effects, and contrast -> Vocal centric within a happy lucky tune and beat that breaks at the end -> Puns and a somewhat monotone melancholy feel that easily shows character -> More simplicity and focused on the vocals to carry it, also ironic jokes and sarcasm! -> Interesting chord progression and really good wordplay -> Amazing and subtle foreshadowing mix into a lament turned beautiful transition to chorus

Also apparently the Queens go from right to left if you have ear buds in but as a half deaf person I will sadly never get to get the full experience-

Also the fact that Hamilton ends on “Who lives who dies who tells your story” and SIX instantly throws you with a “Listen up let me tell you a story!” Is my favorite coincidence

Kat’s lines are potentially longer to match AYWD’s length
