things i absolutely loved about the winchesters pilot and why you should watch it:
it feels like supernatural. i know, i know, there's no TFW, but the writers put together a great little scooby gang throughout the episode and it really feels like supernatural
the lore. this goes back to how it feels like spn but the mythology is there and it’s right and it just makes the show feel so familiar. robbie said they have a continuity tech on set in addition to having himself, jensen, danneel, and drake (who watched the show through season 12 and yes, this got a big laugh from the audience), so they're keeping track and being very careful not to rewrite the past (this was robbie's biggest worry before signing on). drake also understands that john is, in his words, "a controversial character", which i think bodes very well for his portrayal.
the PARALLELS. all the parallels. there’s obvious ones, there’s easter eggs, there’s lines word-for-word that don’t even sound cheesy because they’re done so well. i love it.
carlos. y’all are gonna love carlos if/when you give this show a chance. carlos is a queer character played by a queer actor and he has such an amazing personality - i absolutely adore carlos after just one episode and jojo fleites is just perfectly cast. i can't remember carlos' pronouns (i was slightly distracted by jensen sitting directly in my eyeline during the screening), but jojo's are they/them so keep that in mind!
the CAST. i was honestly not sure about it since we all know and love matt & amy as young john & mary but drake and meg are perfectly cast. their chemistry is off the charts and you can see them growing into these characters. nida khurshid was perfect as lati and, as i already said, jojo fleites is flawless as carlos. also, TOM WELLING as samuel campbell. c'mon. he's not in the pilot but who's not excited for tom welling as samuel campbell?
y'all trust jensen and danneel and robbie, right? they are so passionate about this. they wouldn't do it if they couldn't do it right. i promise it's done right. please watch the pilot, please.
if nothing else, watch the pilot for the glimpse of dean and the promise that danneel will get misha on the show (and the many other characters that may pop up)

Miguel Diaz having a crush on you~~
Before we start there may be S5 spoilers. I’ve been watching it I have the last two episodes left!!! I dunno but this is going off of S5 :)
So likeee
This boy is ACTUALLY smitten by you
You guys met through Hawk, you were one of his friends first
He introduced you and Miguel because he had just broken up with Sam. And you had just broken up with Robby.
“H-hey! … I’m Miguel by the way.”
“I figured haha. I’m Y/n.”
After the awkward introduction, Hawk decided to leave you guys alone.
And you hit it off immediately!!!
Afterwards, you start sitting with Miguel, Hawk and the others at lunch.
The group adopted you immediately, except for Sam
During class Miguel kept staring at you
At the end of the day he invited you over for dinner with Johnny, Robby, Carmen, and his Yaya
They love you!
Which of course you were ecstatic about
Johnny and Robby, continually winking at Miguel when they thought you weren’t looking
It was a tad awkward for you with Robby being there. But he was honestly happy for you and Miguel.
It was a relief to see how close Robby and Miguel have gotten.
After Miguel walks you home he calls Hawk and Demetri immediately
“DUDE you guys are gonna get married”
I literally don’t know how men talk to each other-
“Miguel you have to ask her out on an actual date.”
After your guys’ first kiss he spirals.
Even after you guys start dating you are still his crush
He never gets tired of being with you, listening to you talk, etc
You’re literally his biggest fan!
And he’s the same for you!
RANDOM HEAD CANON ALERT
After Carmen has the baby…….
He’s so happy he is literally SO happy
You love watching him hold the baby he’s so caring and gentle
Placing little kisses on its forehead.
..
He never lets Cobra Kai mess with you anymore..
After Eagle Fang/ Miyagi Do got into the tournament. And they found out you’re friends/ helping them.
They went after you hardcore! Especially Kenny
But either way you guys care for each other constantly. And that situation really highlighted that.

Wednesday WIP
Hello everyone!
I actually don't have much in the way of WIPs this week. I've been a bit under the weather so that's hindered things and I don't know if anything I've written makes any sense to anyone else.
My Din smut series (because there's a sliver of a plot if you squint hard) is ongoing and Session Two dropped this morning. The master list is here: Sard'ika Sessions.
I'm working on Session Three, we're taking a turn:
His voice was strained, similar to how he was during the first session. No, Din knew it was even worse than that. At the time, he hadn’t known your body or heard the noises it makes as he touched it, the sounds you make as he does. He has that knowledge and has been thinking about it for too long without putting it back into practice.
Tumblr media
And because @musings-of-a-rose and I have a Gabriel Luna fixation, the idea came to try for a smidge of Christmas with Ghost Rider. Not an odd combo at all:
When you came through the door with both hands full of groceries, you smiled and kissed his cheek. After setting them down on the table you paused after hearing a small chime. Robbie was wearing a red elf hat with a bell attached at the end with the red sweater you’d bought him - no jacket over it.
Mind you, Ghost Rider was only in ten episodes of Agents of Shield. Best ten episodes, also the only ones I watched. 😎
Tumblr media
Alright Space Buddies, see you next week! 💚
Love Nerdie ❤️

LazyTown is definitely my favorite TV show and always will be. And this is where it all started. In all honestly, a decent pilot.
The episode begins with an (honestly mysterious) cold open from Sportacus, featuring him in the airship, waking up, flipping, blah blah blah. Honestly a very cool start to the show, and I actually think Sportacus is the best character.
Tumblr media
Photo taken by LazyPooky. pictures.lazytown.eu
So, anyways, the next scene is them playing video games in Pixel's house, and is such a blatant introduction to the characters. Pixel is playing the same video game over and over (which is a football game even though the LazyTown kids would not even THINK about playing football), Trixie is asking Stingy for popcorn (this is not something she'd do, she'd definitely steal it in the live shows or in Season 2), Stingy is refusing to give it to her and Ziggy is being the regular kid he is and eating candy. I STILL love his character.
For the record, you must be demented if you eat popcorn for anything other than a slight snack or for a movie/TV night.
Tumblr media
I know that it was the sixth episode produced, but it just feels so weird. The opening sequence for the characters are just.. so out of character. So anyways, we're now in Milford's office while he's cleaning up, and Bessie is.. being Bessie and yippity yappiting awayy on da phone. Milford cleans Bessie with a feather duster, then proceeds to tell her why - Stephanie, his niece is coming to visit town. Normally I find Milford funny in the first season of the show, but I didn't laugh at all during this sequence. I HATE BESSIE. And it confuses me to think that she's my mother's favourite character (Her favourite episode is also Remote Control..)
Tumblr media
However, this sequence is much much more funnier. Robbie is in his lair eating the same creamy cake he seems to eat about a million times in this show. He then laughs about how lazy the town is and how it'll stay like that under his watch, then he sits on his piano and throws away his cake. Perfect timing, you're talking about how where you live is just how you like it and you're so strong and fierce and scary to keep it that way, but his clumsiness shows out for that. Robbie was never my favourite character, but Stefan portrayed him amazingly.
Tumblr media
So, now Stephers is in LazyTown, at shock about how terrible it is. Weeds all over the place, bugs flying, nobody outside. Did she expect a town called LAZYTOWN to be the home of professional athletes?
Tumblr media
Anyways, she meets Milford, her uncle, and he offers to carry her stuff. Stephanie declines and Milford says she is strong. In the lair, Robbie has gotten another slice of cake, and he spits it out and throws it away in shock at the word 'Stephanie'. This is why there was never an episode about wasting food on the show. Except Swiped Sweets where Sportacus says 'Food's for throwing, not for growing!' Robbie suspects trouble for his masterplan to keep the town lazy. We are now in Milford's amazing house, and Stephanie thinks so as well.
Tumblr media
Milford talks about how he is baking a cake for Bessie after Stephanie complains about the smell, and of course Milford messed it up. Anyways, Stephanie talks about playing outside and Milford laughs and informs her that nobody plays in LazyTown, but they USED to. Stephanie asks what she can do after Milford takes her to her room and supplies her with a deck of cards.
Tumblr media
Supposedly an hour later, Stephanie has made a tower with her cards and Milford comes to check on her. Stephanie says that if she had another deck she would have made the Empire State Building. When I first heard that, I thought if 9/11 had not happened that she would have said 'the Twin Towers'. However LazyPooky on the GLF reminded me she was only making one building with the deck of cards, and that in different dubs the building has changed. So she shut down my theory, and pretty damn well.
Tumblr media
Now the two are in the kitchen, checking out the cake. Stephanie compliments it then tries to go outside. Milford stops her for two reasons: Nobody plays outside, and Milford feared an injury. Stephanie convinces Milford to let her go, and as Milford predicted. It's boring. Nothing happens except her sitting on a bench alone, rolling a ball. Ziggy comes up to her and they introduce one another. Ziggy tells Stephanie to come to Pixel's house, and she accepts.
Tumblr media
Ziggy tries introducing the gang to Stephanie, but nobody listens. Pixel looks at her and then gains an instant crush and loses his game, but he really doesn't care. Uhm.. I might just say this is one of the most cringe inducing scenes of the whole show, except where Stingy coughs/chokes on his popcorn in shock that Pixel doesn't mind losing.
Tumblr media
Stephanie introduces herself and then asks them to play soccer. Pixel says they're already playing soccer (the idiot) and Stephanie asks about REAL soccer. They say they have never played a single sports before and Stephanie sings the song "Have You Ever" (not knowing that Robbie is watching), which I find an incredibly mediocre song, unless it's in instrumental without the vocals. It still boggles my mind how that won the song vote in 2005.
Tumblr media
Anyways, they start kicking a ball around, but Trixie kicks it too high and Robbie gains hold of it. Now plays a kid friendly version of bribing - Robbie gives Trixie a ball to throw at a window, Pixel a new video game with "6000 PLUS bonus levels!!" (Robbie tells Stingy the game was his), and Ziggy a large pile of candy. Robbie tells Stephanie to be lazy like a "good girl" and she reprises Have You Ever in a sad way. It is just me, or is singing when you're sad is totally stupid?
Tumblr media
Stephanie is writing in her diary at Milford's house and he can clearly see how sad Stephanie is. Milford tells Stephanie about "Number 9", a superhero from the North Sea who swooshed all around and gives her a tube to send a letter to his airship. I've seen the color scheme of that tube all over the place, and I think once at a barber shop. So it's just getting annoying.
Tumblr media
Stephanie writes a letter, puts it in the tube and sends it to the airship, all while Robbie keeps on trying to say that it will only makes things worse and she shouldn't do it. Of course, they're at such far distances that Stephanie can't hear Robbie and she sends the letter to Number 9. I have a fond memory of being in second grade, requesting we watch this episode during indoors break time, and having to pause the video on a frame of Stephanie's struggling face. Everyone thought it was hilarious. I also remember making a GIF out of this. Stephanie was sending a bomb to the airship. I really question my sanity.
Tumblr media
Now Number 9 has the letter. He reads the letter, then reads a book about the history of the show (the town existed before pre-colonial Australia), writes a letter to Stephanie, puts it in an airplane shape, then in a bowling ball, then sends it to her. All while jumping and flipping occasionally, but not showing his face ONCE to the camera. Man, this guy is cool!
Tumblr media
Stephanie recieves the letter after a long time, and Number 9 arrives in LazyTown, except he isn't Number 9! AN IMPOSTER! It's Number 10. People call him Sportacus, but Sportacus calls himself a slightly above average superhero. I call him the best Nickelodeon character ever.
Tumblr media
Beep beepity beep! His crystal beeps two times and he goes on a saving rampage - saving Ziggy, Trixie and Stingy. What a dude, always there when you need him.
Tumblr media
Now Robbie is pissed. He feels rotten, so he decides to set up a trap for Sportacus, but instead Bessie falls for it. I must say that digging a hole hundreds of feet into the ground is a surefire way to get someone murdered. Luckily Sportacus, Stephanie and Milford save Bessie. Milford gives Bessie a cake. For a few seconds they both forget Bessie is in a life threathening situation and compliment the cake. See, this is why LazyTown is the pinnacle of comedy, not to mention that while Sportacus is saving Bessie, she has no expression at all. Cons of being a puppet.
Tumblr media
Sportacus decides to stay in LazyTown (yes!!) and then they all sing the Bing Bang song while pricking weeds. Robbie is not happy for any of it, and he even falls into his own trap (obviously on accident).
Tumblr media
I kinda liked that episode. I used to not like it very much, but revisiting it (A.K.A re-reading the transcript, looking at screenshots and watching the trailer), I actually think it's a pretty good episode, especially for the first one of the whole show.
7/10

Earthspark spoilers for all ten episodes below! I slapped down my thoughts here
First of all: I love twitch. I ADORE twitch. every single twitch moment had me going *points* ur my kid, lifting her on my shoulders, and cheering wildly. 99% chance twitch is going to be my first ever tf figure
I adore all the kids, tbh! I feel like Twitch is the most developed, but Mo and Robbie and Thrash are all excellent, and their interactions feel soooo natural! I'm not sure if Bee counts as a kid, but he's basically been sent to sit at the kid's table this series, so I'll put him here too. Definitely my favorite Bumblebee since TFA! He's such an asshole, and I appreciate that about him.
The transformations were fun, too! The way that bots would transform their weapons out of their bodies (but not attached like in TFP or TFA) was fascinating- and very slick. I'm looking forward to seeing the new Terrans' alt modes and final designs
And the LADIESSSSSSS oh my gd the ladies I am SO happy transformers shows are finally getting girls that arent just Girl (mean) and Girl (girl but cool and like the dudes). Elita One was *swoon worthy*, Arcee was delightfully insane, Frenzy was SUCH a pleasant surprise and possibly my favorite design yet, the Seeker twins were fanTASTIC, and the Terran gals are literally so good. Hashtag only showed up for a few minutes but she absolutely stole the show!!!!! let hashtag have her yuri manga backstory pls <3
My favorite episode was by far the traditions episode- Twitch's struggles with finding her place in her unique intersection of heritages rang super true to my experience growing up mixed, and hit unexpectedly hard! For the most part, the emotional side of the show was done well, which was a huge relief since I was worried it would come off as trite and shallow. I think the excellent characterization helped! Also, the foreshadowing/crumbs of exploring the effects of war on people is Very Tantalizing. Fingers crossed that if they portray combat PTSD, it'll be done respectfully! However, I think so far this show has been good about touching on sensitive topics and making them seem real.
Other people have also discussed how big the war looms over this show, and I couldn't agree more! The show does an excellent job of telling this story from a young person's perspective. None of the main four kids have seen war but it still touches their lives and even within this first half of the first season, you can see the kids starting to understand that. The intersection of Dot as a war veteran and Alex as a transformers fanboy is fascinating, too! Even though Dot's affected by the war, the kids perspectives of it are initially entirely from the sanitized stories and comics Alex gives them, giving them a rosy perspective on the battles and tragedies humans and cybertronians both endured. I wonder if this will be explored in later seasons? I can't imagine it's comfortable for Dot (veteran, possible con sympathizer?) to be constantly bombarded with this glorification from her fanboy husband. idk!
I can't really think of many things I disliked other than the way Megatron seems to be so disapproving of GHOST while allowing his (former) army to be imprisoned by them? I adore this Megatron's characterization, but the GHOST thing... hm. dislike. BIG dislike. Why would the guy that was the head of a faction during the war be so passive? I don't think we've been given any reason for the war happening yet, but even if the war beginning was entirely unrelated to functionism, it's hard to see half the Cybertronian population being jailed by humans as an ended war.
Which brings me to my final point. The war??? Is it over??? From Optimus' line in Age of Evolution about the Cybertronians on Earth being the only cybs left, something Big happened to Cybertron. Before watching the series, I was convinced that the war was still happening on Cybertron proper and had only ended on Earth because of the faction leaders being stranded on it together without communication back to their homeworld but now I'm like????? I feel as though we haven't gotten quite enough Lore Droppage for me to begin making any theories, which is TRAGIC
tldr: pls this was so good I'm so well fed and want more i was :DDDDDD the entire time earthspark is such a joy!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm six episodes into Pluto and I have to write down my thoughts. So far my rating is about 6.5/10. There is some really good stuff in here, but I keep being underwhelmed by the execution.
My thoughts are under the cut so Pluto fans can avoid it if they want.
STUFF THAT ANNOYS ME
Things only happen at the speed of the plot, so some really intense scenes end up going on for way too long and I get bored. Like when Hoffman was being threatened by the robot in the elevator. Hella tense! I like Hoffman and don't want him to be murdered! Then everyone and their mother has to have a long conversation while the robot waits politely for everyone to get their shit together and Hoffman is saved.
The plot only cares about the important characters. Remember how Ochanomizu's grandson is threatened by Pluto and Atom has to run over and save him? And the grandson's life is in danger? He might die? That kid? Last time we see him he's dragging his possibly-mortally-injured mother (who doesn't get a name, though the grandson does) to dubious safety. Then Atom is injured and we never see or hear about the grandson again. Next episode Ochanomizu only talks about how worried he is about Atom and completely fails to mention his own daughter or grandson at all. Like, are they okay? Are they safe? Do you care?
Unfortunately I imprinted on Gundam and Eva young, so my standards for fight scenes are high. Pluto's fight scenes suck. They're mostly quick flashes of the protagonist running or shooting, a bunch of swishy smoke, and then a loooong cut to a bystander looking shocked. If I wanted to watch bystanders being shocked during a fight scene, I'd just watch DBZ.
All of the characters that matter are men.
On a related note-- every woman has the exact same personality (supportive but gently exasperated wife, helpful to the men around her, quiet and demure) and all of the children have the exact same personality (sweet and energetic and cheerful). Even Uran is mostly just your Standard Darling Girl Child.
I wish the flashbacks were a different color than current time, because sometimes it is really hard to follow.
I just don't find Hercules or Epsilon interesting.
What is with the teddy bear. We first see it in episode five with absolutely no foreshadowing or lead-up. The way it is presented and the music suggest it is evil, but I'm like. Buddy I don't even know who you are.
STUFF THAT CONFUSES ME
Why are robot children a thing? Do they grow up? Are they eternally children? When adult robots adopt children robots, is this like. a thing that lasts until they all give out from obsolescence or do the robot children become robot teenagers and then robot adults? Are Atom and Uran going to grow up?
STUFF THAT I LIKE
I really, really like Gesicht.
There is an underlying sadness to the entire world that I really like. It's so bleak.
"A robot like you wouldn't understand emotions/beauty." Hard cut to a robot suffering from PTSD or crying because her husband was murdered or dreaming of growing flowers in the desert.
Brau 1589 is my favorite character. He only shows up occasionally but he owns every scene.
All this shit about robots can't kill humans and then we learn about robots that kill humans, and the robots are real fucked up about it. It's so good. SO GOOD.
All this stuff about artificial intelligences and how they learn and if they count as alive, and how much they can be like humans, so good. Also, love the callback about Gesicht's wife refusing to have her memory erased like Robby's wife refused.
The fact that robots marry delights me.
All the talk about grief is good. So many sad characters.
The actual story-- robot serial killer serial killing other robots, now let's follow our plucky detective as he keeps ending up in mortal danger-- is hella interesting.
Every now and then we are forcibly reminded that our most human-looking robots are not human and it's great every time.
Making a robot because your son died and you want to replace him and then being upset that your robot is his own person instead of an exact copy of your son is so fucked up it's great.
So in conclusion, Pluto is an interesting story, but based on how I was equally irritated with what I've seen of Monster, I think that Naoki Urusawa's writing style just is not my jam. Which is a shame because on paper his stories are incredibly up my alley.

C3E79 - reaction
This was a really fun episode that will REALLY need all of the cast invested to be able to follow through on it.
Starting from the beginning, interesting revelation with Fearne that she was made to be a deliberate Ruidusborn. Being the child of the Sorrowlord isn't as interesting to me as what he wants to DO with her. I'm intrigued, especially as we've already had Otohan AND Ludinus dismiss her as being less powerful than Imogen. Does this lead to an additional secret plot with her? Or was she really just dropped once a stronger Ruidusborn was available?
Orym and Ashton conversation was both expected and unexpected. I really do wonder what Liam would have said had he been there for the episode itself, but if it were to be similar to this, then I am actually glad that he was gone for the episode. We wondered if Orym would have brought down the tension of the episode by playing peacemaker, and this was a fairly balanced and calm conversation. Ashton really jumped back into his sense of humor and dismissiveness though (that's not the right word, but I'm struggling to clarify what I mean) which felt really weird after last episode.
Fun fact - during this conversation, I was wondering if Orym was about to confess feelings for Ashton. Then during the secrets bit, Liam once again confirmed Dorym. I don't wear shipping goggles all the time, and I definitely didn't vibe with Dorym for the longest, but I think at this point, if we got Robbie back to the table for a long stretch, I'd actually be into it.
Okay, I LOVED the trials! BUT! This is absolutely where the cast needs to continue to run with it in order to be able to make it work.
Most of the secrets are things I can EASILY see never being followed up with again, just statements blurted into the air for a moment and then forgotten or hidden again. Look how Chetney was unwilling to even confirm that he liked the group until Nana Mori implied that the trial was still ongoing! Shouting secrets does nothing unless the Hells actually start consistently sharing secrets and following up with each other afterwards. Monocle seems like a fun item, glad they won it.
The communication section was a blast to watch, and I'm actually going to watch it again as I spent so long focusing on the hands and not the faces. HOWEVER, once again, this has to be used by the players to make an in-game statement. Because technically? All they really got from it was just good reminders of where time is in a clock, and saying stop and go. A very fun mini-game, but minimally useful in terms of the party communicating with each other. The scarf seems interesting enough with Fear, but aside from that I don't think it would have been terrible had they missed it.
Trust, as the last game for next episode, once again is going to have to rely on the players taking the lessons and actually making them last past the mini-games. Because honestly? While obviously I need to see how it's going to play out, this mini-game seems like the exact opposite of Trust? It seems like it would all be about Suspicion.

‘The Winchesters’: Outgoing CW CEO Mark Pedowitz Is ‘The Other Winchester Brother,’ Says Jensen Ackles
Less than a day after the announcement that Mark Pedowitz would leave the CW, the cast and creator of The Winchesters took time to honor the chairman and CEO who championed their Supernatural spinoff.
“Jared (Padalecki) and I referred to him as the other Winchester,” said Jensen Ackles, the former star of Supernatural who is now EPing the spinoff. He will also reprise his Dean Winchester character as a narrator of the new show.
“Mark was one of the greatest champions of TV over the last I don’t know how many years, and was an enormous champion of Supernatural,” added EP/showrunner Robbie Thompson. “We had a note on the pilot and it was so granular that I thought it was from a convention. He watched every episode, every cut of Supernatural. He’s fully invested in the show. All I thought about yesterday [when the news about Pedowitz was announced] was how privileged I was as a writer to have such a smart leader. There was no panic. I felt proud.”
It was announced Monday that Pedowitz is stepping down as Chairman and CEO of the CW after eleven and a half years at the helm — one of the longest tenures ever in network television. The move comes as local TV giant Nexstar Media Group is taking over the CW, with its acquisition of 75% stake in the 16-year-old broadcast operation now completed. Pedowitz will be replaced by Nexstar board member Dennis Miller who was named President. His exit is effective immediately.
The Winchesters is an origin story about the parents of Dean and Sam Winchester, played in Supernatural by Ackles and Padalecki. The project is also EPed by Ackles’ wife, who recurred on Supernatural as Danneel, through their company Chaos Machine Productions. It premieres Oct. 11 on CW.
“This was obviously something that has been long talked about, how to expand this world,” Ackles told reporters today during the show’s TCA panel. “There have been two attempts prior to this that unfortunately didn’t make the cut. But here we are, we are very excited. It really came about as Supernatural was wrapping up. the pandemic hit, and my lovely wife and I were forced to sit together and figure out how to be creative in the confines in our house. This was one we talked about for quite a while. and that’s when we threw it to the studio and network. They were quickly very interested. I was not ever ready to kind of put this bed. I was ready to take a break, but not ready to put it to bed.”
Supernatural, which ended its 15-season run in 2020, followed Dean and Sam Winchester as they hunted demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings. John and Mary were played on the show by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Samantha Smith.
Ackles said it’s important that The Winchesters focuses on not rewriting history. “We don’t want the picture of Dean and Sam to be erased. “We are trying to preserve everything we can on the mother ship. Robbie and his crack team of writers have come up with a way of doing that.”

I just finished watching Earthspark. It was a breath of fresh air, but there is a part I can't still get my mind off.
Bumblebee: One time Soundwave was low on energon and instead of ejecting, he exploded his cassette-
WHAT THE FUCK?! IS THAT WHY WE DIDN'T SEE RUMBLE WITH OTHERS?! That is fucked up on so many levels!
Shit. I've been talking non-stop about Black Panther I forgot about EarthSpark even though I watched the episodes.
But my thoughts:
-Animation: God Tier, especially during fight scenes. (Megatron fucking fired himself into the ground!)
-Writing: Surprisingly really good. It's really nice to see these characters interact and thinking about the weight of certain actions post war.
-Characters: Oh my god, I love them all! Human characters are amazing (I am loving the diversity on this show. Dot and Alex having a healthy relationship. Mo and Robby supporting each other and fighting like siblings). Cybertronians, extremely creative and interesting take. I love how the humans and Cybertronians are interacting with one another. If anything bad happens to Twitch and Thrash, I SWEAR-!
-Voice acting's a little corny at times, but it's a kid's show. Not really going to fault it.
This is definitely the most fun I've had with a transformers series in a long time, and I can't wait to see more of it.
Also, the man, the myth! THE LEGEND! STEVE BLUM IS BACK AS STARSCREAM!

So far I think Josh is my favorite character. Which is different than when I originally watched the first two episodes (Which is as far as I got because I was much more invested in other shows at the time) Aiden was naturally my favorite. At this point and time though, I feel like the whole angsty ethical vampire tortured her thing is a bit overdone. I’m aware that the show was coming out during prime twilight days, but the point still stands (especially since I’m watching this in 2023). Not to say I don’t like Aiden, cause I do, and I’m a sucker for his whole shtick but I’ve never particularly loved the vampire angle when it comes to that, cause it can feel overdone and predictable. (Not that predictable is a bad thing)
Sally is cool, and I’d like to see more of her. I haven’t really formed any strong opinions about her other than I am suspicious about her death, so I look forward to more episodes exploring her character.
Oh! Also, Mark Pelligrino is in this, and he’s right up there with Mark Sheppard when it comes to consistently getting interesting (usually at least antagonistic if not outright bad guys) roles and doing a great job. I really liked him in that one show that got cancelled when it really shouldn’t have been even if it was kind of subpar. I don’t remember the name, I think it was the tomorrow people? You know, the one with Lincoln from Agents of Shield, Lana from Smallville, and Robbie Amell.

Idk if this Beauty and the Beast rose dome is really a way to carry hearts around
Hey! Heart theme number 3!
"The place this heart is coming from, that was a tragedy. But once we land it's gonna be someone's miracle, right?" (THIS QUOTE IS SEVERELY UNDERUSED IN THIS FANDOM)
Hen telling the newbie paramedic 'It'll be okay, kid.".... I just love her, so muchhh
Also, Eddie almost fell down from a helicopter.
Eddie taking the place of a paramedic is a foreshadowing for his role when Chim's away, right?
I actually want to see Manny the paramedic again
Bobby going down on the "rope"? I see you.
He almost died from something that should be secure snapping?...
Harry!!!! What
I love how food is always a source of love and care in 911
HenChim my loves
CLIPBOARD BUCK!!!!!!!!
Ravi said his name and I understood Robby and I was... Who the fuck is Robby
The way Eddie says Panikkar though
Baby Jee is literally the thing that can break Clipboard Buck yes that actually tracks
Buck came around and Eddie completely forgot Ana existed, how is this show real.
Buck clocked Eddie SO HARD on his reaction to Ana
Sweeties it's been five days do you really think he would be there for that long
Eddie, looking around, explaining his husband's behavior: he takes our son there all the time I'm sorry about him :/
Eddie smile WAS SO DAMN CUTE how can a grown man be that pretty that's so not fair
Bobby is such a little shit sometimes
Also, they should have used Buck's knowledge of animals to help solve what the fuck attacked that guy
OH MY GOD HIS EAR
I'm actually happy that it was Hen's knowledge. I'm very happy.
Buck and Eddie's faces when Bobby told them it was two alpacas and there was no running okay that's actually funny
The look they shared...
Also, the Welcome to the Jungle usage was magnificent
Oh noooo the poor kid :(
The neighborhood helping the kid :D
I can't believe I'm crying
Ohhhhhh The Talk
"You need to tell me if something's wrong" BABE
Ana the anxiety inducing gf and Taylor the misery inducing gf
Gotta love the way Eddie's like "I'm not gonna think about it", then Buck's like "maybe you should think about it" then leaves and then Eddie's like "I'm thinking about it"
Chim's so worried...
And the Madney/Buddie parallels keep on going
People who've watched this episode live, how the fuck did you guys kept calm during the JeeYun almost drowning scene? How did you guys went into commercial breaks, listening to those annoying USA ads, and not completely flipped out? How?
Maddie at the beginning of 5A looks so much like Eddie at the beginning of 5B... the parallels
Michael, WHAT THE HELL
Harry :((( OH MY FUCKING GOD NO

New doodle ,Tex Avery which reminds me ……..
Ok review time!
So the wacky world of Tex Avery, well I remember a time where this show was hated and called the most despised cartoon ever until adult party cartoon.and where people said this show basically disrespected the great animator.but I watch it and it was kinda ok,not good but ok. I mean the voice acting is ok,animation is ok,but being off model and or unappealing at sometimes and the jokes are hit and miss.sometimes you’ll find one worthy of a chuckle sometimes you’ll have one groan worthy but it ok. There’s back story to the show ,back then a second rate animation studio called dic entertainment want to start a new outsourcing company in France and they want to get some talent there. So they decided to get the Tex Avery name from his daughter Nancy Avery. But there were problems like dic being dicks to Nancy Saying that they could get the name from turner and that they were just being nice. That set Nancy off ,so wanna know what she did? Got chuck jones ,her father’s colleague,to consult her on the situation.chuck jones basically told her that her father would be ok to give them the rights to be financially stable because Nancy was trying to get money to send her kids to college.so she was brought on as a producer and was made to receive royalties from the show. 65 episodes made,a dream team of people like ren and stimpy animators mike fontenelli and Eddie Fitzgerald,Disney afternoon writers jymm magon and mark zaslowe and longtime animation writer Jeffrey Scott as head writers ,and legendary voice actors billy west,Maurice la marche ,Cree summer,Kathleen Barr,Scott McNeil and Lee tockar. This was plan to be a smash success! But it didn’t .the show was panned by critics and aired at early morning hours on fox and Upn stations (seriously,8 o’clock weekday mornings on fox most kids are on the bus or at school). the show wast pick up for a second season(then again, the limit for most cartoons was 65 episodes.aired them ,rerun them again over 13 weeks then aired them sporadically ) but the show was actually a big success in France and Italy ! I mean, I couldn’t believe that there were dvd releases of the show and a dance pop theme song sung by the lovely Italian Christia d’avena . Uh back to show they’re some good segments like the Tex Avery cartoons and Pompeii Pete cartoons. And I found it pretty decent, and in a interview with former dic vice president,Robby London, he said that he was trying to make a tribute to Tex Avery and personally loved his work.and he also said that in 2001,during September 11,he got call from the cia who told them that one their cartoons in the show had a character that hijacked a plane I think was going to ram it into a building .(he said it was one the weirdest things he every heard.) but it’s a ok show,I suggest you watch it . It on Tubi for free but only 40 episodes are available the rest of the 25 are basically lost media . But it’s up to you to judge so, get on your horse and grab your guitar and ride into the wacky world of Tex Avery!

Well run, like my man Pompeii Pete!(don’t speak English really good!)

Prequel thoughts - some good, some bad
I have always found Robbie T’s writing at its worst to verge on being kinda verbose and occasionally smug. Sometimes, too many characters sound word vomitey in a distinctly *Sam* way, or they just sound cartoonishly *feisty.* But he has also done episodes I genuinely love. I think the prequel had those same issues in the writing but it was mostly okay.
- It was waaaay too fast-paced, but maybe they want to crank out as much as possible for fear of cancellation. But yeah. John’s character suffered the most from the rushing. He didn’t even have time to really react to the world of hunting so soon after coming back and it felt very off. Let us have some dread!!!!
- The MoL info dump would be ok in a novel but doesn’t make great tv. Slow the fuck down, guys.
- Imho Mary actress is excellent. She feels like Mary. Her voice is the right voice for Mary. She seems to pull the best performances out of the other actors. I’m most looking forward to her push-pull with her parents. Her personality reminds me mostly of what we saw out of original Sam Campbell if I’m honest! Bit prickly and more aloof than Dean. More abrupt maybe, at baseline.
- desperately wanna see Mary’s large hunting family and cousin Maggie!
- I think Lata was ok. Her moments with Mary were the best and felt the most organic to me.
- The trauma bonding with John and Mary in the car and about life after hunting was second best
- I liked Millie scene with John ok. I didn’t feel too much because they didn’t really set up for the viewer the Henry stuff all that well imho.
- Carlos felt feisty and rushed, but the actor is good, has so much presence and charisma, and he had a nice moment with the guitar and getting out the “doomed hunters” theme. His other scenes needed more room to breathe.
- For example, I’d have preferred not spelling out his crush on Mary but showing it through his hackles being raised about John or jealousy allowed to come out stronger imho. That’s the kind of stuff that tends to feel ham-fisted about Robbie to me.
- But I do like that no one is a carbon copy of Sam or Dean. The fandom’s obsession with mirrors being stand-ins for whole ass characters can be a Chuck-coded nuisance. (I love parallels and themes but spn fans tend to equate characters with mirrors or characters, and that had gotten so stale. Robbie tends to let his characters be individuals, and use themes more cohesively instead of teasingly, and I like that.)
- In general, I’d love to see more genuine grouchiness, anger, and pissy attitudes in his characterizations. Too often it comes off plucky/feisty instead of truly negative. (Dude, road trips get dramatic!)
- I do think the broad strokes are good and the actors have so much chemistry that they’ll settle in. I wasn’t expecting so much chemistry tbh. Good for them. I like that John and Mary are interested in each others’ emotions. That feels different than so many romances because they’re simply curious and interested at this point.
- It also had some audio balances issues and hazy lighting (it’s difficult to do dingy 70s) that I’m sure will even out.
- last thing: Mary called a guy who watched his friend blow up, went to a graveyard with his friend’s mom earlier, and cut shit out of his arm, and was pretty suicidal during a hunt…she gave him coffee and remarked he had a sweet worldview? I was so thrown by it, and it seemed so *plucky.* 😭 Smdh. Have you ever talked to a veteran, Robbie? John just came back from Nam, the unpopular, hated war. Maybe Mary is just trying to say “you’re sweet / I’m sweet on you.” Secret dorky Mary.
- as for the show in general… we already know my feelings on taking the word of cupids and angels to be the end-all, be-all canon. They’re manipulative/unreliable narrators. That’s canon. It you’re basing canon on the word of an angel and chuck’s messengers, you missed the tfw theme. (as I’ve said, I’m cool with degradation and tragedy if they go that way, too.)
