I love Porsche, but if I were Kinn, I would've been done with him after the shit he pulled with Vegas in EP 13. I mean this man dedicated his whole life to trying to ruin Kinn's. He wanted to kill you and his actions led to the kidnapping of your little brother who could've died. I suppose it was all negligible to Porche, and I don't know what that says about him. The fact that they didn't even bother to address this issue between Kinn and Porsche in the final EP and just glossed over it with the "I'm on your side" nonsense infuriates me to no end.
Everyone is a Porsche apologist. Will he ever realize his mistakes?
I love Porsche, but I do not hesitate to drag him for filth because he fucks up a lot. He truly does, and I don't go out of my way to defend him because I don't even agree with half of the shit he pulls. Porsche doesn't think he's wrong and most people generally tend to side with him on all things. Then again, Porsche is 23 and he acts every bit of his age so him refusing to own up to his mistakes is realistic and par for the course. But it's like when Porsche used to accuse Kinn of not trusting him but .. from what we've seen, isn't it the other way around? It's not that Kinn doesn't trust Porsche; it's more like Porsche doesn't trust Kinn. Then again, you guys know I've called both of them fucking liars because they always say shit that goes in direct opposition of what they actually do.
But if we go purely based off of what Porsche has said, it doesn't add up at all. On the one hand though, I wonder how much of this is just Kinn willing to overlook this shit because he's in love with Porsche. You guys know I don't like to use certain terms to describe their relationship but I will say this - this is one of the only few reasons why I would consider their relationship 'toxic.' Both of them have a tendency to forgive each other for things they probably shouldn't, which I understand. I don't think it's a good thing for them to do that, but I understand it. But I even wrote a mini-meta post about this exact thing. Essentially, I said that I doubted Kinn would react and respond to Porsche's shenanigans the way we think he will or should. I had a feeling Kinn wasn't going to respond in that way, even though he has every right in the world to. Kinn was just happy that Porsche came back to him.
But that begs the question - is this going to be a long-running thing of Porsche doing some fuck shit like running off with Vegas only for Kinn to stay mum about it because he's so deeply in love? They do say that love is blind. Which means you're so blinded by your deep emotions and feelings that you're willing to ignore and overlook everything that could possibly hurt you. I wouldn't say Kinn is desperate for love, but I do wonder sometimes. This is one of the few times where I wish they would talk to each other, especially about those things. I don't need them to sit down and hash everything out at once because that's not realistic (in a perfect world; people think that's how relationships go but it actually doesn't. generally speaking, people actually don't talk to their partners at all about the things they should; it's sad but true), but I need them to start expressing their hurt over what the other has done. Kinn is actually better at talking about the hard shit than Porsche is, but I'll chalk it up to the writers not having enough time to incorporate that kind of thing into the show.

Studio Ghibli's most recent marketable-plushiefied silly lil guys are the marshmallow souls of unborn humans being eaten by dying pelicans forced into starvation, or bloodthirsty parakeet satirical caricatures of the Mussolini facist regime, and that's beautiful.
