Hallo vanuit City Park. Ik ben weer het geweldige ding aan het doen: ik schrijf vanaf de app. Ik ben al ongeveer een anderhalf uurtje in BTC en het is niet normaal.

Zoals de leraren op Radboud heel graag zeggen: ik zie door het bos de bomen niet meer.

Ik heb een paar foto's gemaakt, maar aangezien tumblr het amper aan kan om foto's vanaf mijn laptop te uploaden, ga ik het niet op app doen. De foto's zijn later toegevoegd. Geloof me maar op mijn woord.

Ik werd enigszins vroeg wakker, want mijn gordijn is weer losgekomen. Dat fix ik later wel. Caroline en Kath zijn naar Lake Bled en Barbara is zich voor aan het bereiden op de aankomst van haar vriend. Barbara heeft ook haar plannen om een wedding planner te worden uitgebreid. Ze wilt een wedding planning bureau in Kroatië beginnen, gespecialiseerd in duurzaamheid. Verder wilt ze ook nog haar economie PhD doen. Ze heeft de drive die ik nooit zou krijgen.

Barbara is ook helemaal weg van mam's taarten en ze vindt het jammer dat Nederland zo ver weg is, anders had ze wel samen willen werken.

Om half 12 nam ik de bus naar BTC en ik had weer eens een Galaxy Brain moment. Ik had bijna de foute bus genomen, want ik was vergeten dat bussen twee kanten op kunnen. Gelukkig had ik op tijd door dat er iets mis was en ik vroeg om hulp.

Ik checkte even mijn Pokemon GO, want ik moest 10 minuten wachten op de goede bus en...

Wat een activiteit. De roze bloemblaadjes betekenen dat mensen actief bezig zijn. Blijkbaar is Pokémon GO zeer populair in Ljubljana. Zelf zou ik meedoen, maar mijn 4G/4G/E/HR (???) is echt mega langzaam hier.

Ik denk dat ik rond half 1 aankwam op BTC en wow oké. Als ik thuis ben voeg ik ook even een kaart van BTC toe.

Ik begon in gebouw A en dat is een winkelcentrum met allerlei specifieke winkels, zoals naaiwinkels, hobbywinkels, vapeshops en heel veel winkels voor galajurken. Er waren ook wel bekendere merken en er waren was eetgelegenheden en mam...

Ja jij ziet de foto. Nu ben ik het nog aan het typen, dus voor mij zit er nu weer een awkward pauze in de tekst. Gelukkig krijgen jullie thuis allemaal de finished version. 

Ik typ altijd wat in me opkomt, maar ik bewerk wel altijd mijn posts, zodat ik foto's enz. kan toevoegen. Ook meer style dingen (dit stuk ga ik dadelijk dikgedrukt maken) en soms voeg ik ook wel tekst toe als ik iets vergeten ben.

Oké. Terug naar BTC. Dat rijmt. 

Gebouw A is één van de grootste gebouwen. Gebouw B ligt tegenover A en het gaat allemaal om eten. Er zijn allemaal eettentjes en specifieke winkels met eetbare producten te vinden. Buiten B is er ook een versmarkt en er zijn food stands.

De rest van BTC bestaat uit blokken (zie foto die ik dus nog moet toevoegen vanaf mijn perspectief). Op de kaart staan de grote namen, maar tussen al die blokken zitten nog meer kleinere winkeltjes. Verder is er een hotel, een waterpark, een autopark, een tuincentrum, een wasstraat ... en nog wel wat.

Aan de zijkant heb je City Park, waar ik me nu bevind. City Park is een mega groot overdekt winkelcentrum, zoals ze in Italië hebben. Er is ook een groot Spar restaurant en dat is net de Ikea en de Wok in Kerkrade samen. Het is ook mega druk, dus ik ben naar de gewone Spar To Go, want die is er ook nog, gegaan en ik zit nu een wrap met krokante kip te eten. Helaas is er ook paprika.

City Park heeft de meer bekendere merken, zoals H&M, Zara, Swarovski, MAC enz. Het heeft dus ook veel eetgelegenheden. Misschien had ik voor de Froyo moeten gaan.

BTC is echt belachelijk groot en ik snap dat het je wel een hele dag bezig kan houden. Er zijn ook best veel gezinnen hier. Met dit weer begrijp ik het niet heel goed, maar als er ooit een bewolkte dag is en je wilt de deur uit, dan is er genoeg te zien in BTC.

Nou wat heb ik hier gedaan? Ik heb weer eens zitten kijken bij de waterverf en ik heb een schetsboek gekocht, want die was ik vergeten. Ik wil wel een los waterverfnapje uit Slovenië van een ander merk, maar dit merk ken ik niet, dus ik weet de kwaliteit niet (herinner je dat verhaal?) en alle kleuren zijn de standaard kleuren die ik al heb.

Wow. Ik ben briljant. Nu pas zie ik dat vergeten ben om het merk te fotograferen. Ik maakte deze foto juist om het merk te zien zodat ik dat later kon opzoeken, maar oké.

Verder heb ik videogames gevonden bij de Müller. De Müller is een soort van grote drogisterij, dus het is interessant om het hier te vinden. Ze hebben ook de Splatoon Joy-Cons 👀👀👀.

Er is ook een Media Markt achtige tech winkel met videogames en er zijn twee videogames winkels. Dit komt wel goed en anders koop ik het alsnog online. The moment Animal Crossing gets released it's done with you bitches. I will be gone. Blog post who idk her???

Ik was ook perrongeluk een hele grote lelijke outlet store ingelopen. Het had allemaal dure merken zoals Tommy Hilfinger, maar de sfeer was meh.

Er was ook een best grote Asian Market en daar heb ik eetstokjes gekocht. Hoera, ik hoef nooit meer noedels met een vork te eten! Oké, “nooit” is een overstatement, maar ik mistte mijn stokjes. Het voelt raar om noedels enz. met mes en vork te eten.

De mevrouw in de winkel vroeg waar ik vandaan kwam. Ze verwachtte waarschijnlijk niet “The Netherlands”, maar ik legde snel uit dat ik origineel uit China kwam. Dat vond ze wel leuk en we zeiden bedankt en gedag in Chinees. Ik kan tenminste nog iets.

Toen besloot ik naar City Park te gaan maar ik had honger, dus ik besloot eerst wat te eten voordat ik verder zou trotseren. En dat is nu. Ik heb toevallig de laatste hap van mijn wrap opgegeten, dus ik ga weer verder.

15:20 en ik ben thuis. Nog steeds P!ATD Faves en ik ga nu eerst even mijn tekst bewerken (Golden Days is Annika’s favoriete nummer van dit album. Oh wacht shit, nee, dat is House of Memories. Oeps.) (Sarah Smiles is ook geschreven voor zijn vrouw en het is gewoon zo’n heppie de peppie nummer.)

Ik ben toch niet meer door City Park gelopen. Ik zocht gewoon City Park op en op de site kon je alle winkels zien. Er was niet iets dat ik nog specifiek wilde zien. 

Voor vertrek zag ik dus dat er twee videogame winkels waren in BTC. Nou, nu had ik al plaatsen gevonden voor games, maar ik ben een stomme completionist, dus ik besloot om ook nog naar de laatste te lopen. Het was ongeveer 15 - 20 minuten lopen vanaf City Park. Lukt wel, dacht ik. Alweer had ik na 3 minuten of zo spijt, maar nu dacht ik: fuck it, ik ga ervoor.

Ik liep door BTC en richting het einde. Eén opticien had een DJ ingehuurd? Waarom??

Nou, de laatste winkel lag dus net buiten BTC in een grote Mercator (supermarkt) gebouw met een paar kleine winkeltjes aan de zijkant.

Where the fr-e-sh a-voca-do was I? Was het het waard? Nee. Deze winkels liggen dus wel bijna 50 minuten reistijd van mij vandaan. Ik zie wel wat ik doe. Er waren ook twee kleine kindjes video game poppetjes mee aan het nemen uit de winkel, maar hun moeder kwam er gelukkig achter. Ik vond het best grappig. Ze lieten hun eigen speelgoed achter en namen de nieuwe poppetjes mee. Hoe heten die dingen ook alweer? Skylanders? 

Ja, Skylanders.

(Girls/Girls/Boys is om eerlijk te zijn mijn favoriete nummer. The pansexual anthem. Laatst zag ik de video van Brendon Urie en Hayley Kiyoko tijdens de tour weer voorbij komen en hey, free serotonin!)

Inmiddels was ik ook dichtbij een busstation verderop. Het lag bij een parkje, dus ik heb even naar hondjes gekeken.

Toen ging ik terug naar huis. Gelukkig viel het nu mee met de bussen en met de overstap. Ik was bijna weer uitgestapt bij Astra om toch weer eens naar de Mantis, die andere videogame winkel, te kijken, maar toen besloot ik dat niet te doen, want ik heb alleen maar spijt van mijn sportieve ideeën.

Ik waardeerde wel weer dat ik een andere kant van de stad heb gezien. Er is wel een verschil tussen gebouwen. Sommige huizen zitten onder de graffiti en het lijkt alsof ze zo kunnen instorten, maar de anderen zijn weer mega modern en nieuw. Dat merk je in mijn buurt ook. Soms staan die huizen naast elkaar. 

Wel zijn ze allemaal blokkerig. Gelukkig niet allemaal grijs, dus met een kleurtje laten ze me denken aan de huizen in Italië.

Oh en ik heb net even een titel toegevoegd en blijkbaar is het carnaval. Ik heb natuurlijk niets meegekregen, want ik zit niet thuis. Zelfs al was ik thuis geweest, dan had ik toch niets gegeven om carnaval.

Maar ik had het door, want hier zijn mensen ook allemaal verkleed. Mijn originele titel was “Een heks op de bus!”, want ik zag iemand met een heksenhoed, maar snel bleek dat de hele bus vol zat met mensen die verkleed waren. Ook in de stad waren mensen allemaal verkleed. In BTC was er fleurige muziek en waren mensen in de winkels ook verkleed. Er was een verkleedwinkel in Gebouw A en die zat ook helemaal vol.

Blijkbaar verkleden ze zich hier ook. Ik dacht dat Tadeja ooit zei dat Slovenië grotendeels protestants was, maar misschien vergis ik me.

Maar ja, dat was mijn dagje BTC. Ik kan begrijpen dat Sanne niet alles heeft gezien, want dat heb ik ook niet gedaan. Het is gewoon mega groot, maar ik heb toch nog 5 maanden om terug te komen. Het is zo groot dat je eigenlijk een fiets moet pakken en gewoon rond moet gaan fietsen, maar er zijn ook weer mega veel auto’s op zoek naar een parkeerplaats. Parkour, bitches.

(Death of a Bachelor gaat weer over zijn vrouw en het is geïnspireerd bij Frank Sinatra. Weer een andere muziekgenre. Mooi stuk van de blaasinstrumenten.)

Het was zeer druk, maar het is nu ook een zaterdag en mensen hebben de tijd om uren rond te hangen in BTC. Ik was er na ongeveer 2 uur wel klaar mee, maar ik kwam niet echt om te winkelen, meer om te kijken.

(En van Frank Sinatra naar Beatles met She’s A Handsome Woman. De band schreef dit album onder invloed in een hut in de bergen. Ten minste, dat wordt gezegd. Het drugsgebruik is een roddel. De hut in de bergen klopt zeker. En toen gooiden ze alles weg en begonnen ze opnieuw in Las Vegas. Wat een verhaal.)

Ik denk dat ik zo verder ga met Lego Harry Potter en dat ik dan even ga tekenen. Ik heb nu eenmaal mijn coole nieuwe schetsboek en ik heb waterverf ansichtkaarsen gekocht. Misschien stuur ik er wel één naar oma. Ik was al van plan om een kaartje te sturen, want ik ga ervan uit dat oma dit niet leest (als het wel zo is: hoi!).
