now you practically skip down the stairs barely able to see your feet because of the sheer amount of food in your hands. you even asked samu to make atsumu’s favorite rice balls and picked them up on your way back from work- safely hiding them in your bag. atsumu finally comes into sight when you reach the kitchen. he’s leaned up against the counter, hair messy and his honey eyes focused on the screen of his phone. he only looks up when you nearly trip- and his eyes widen.

“babe, what the hell-?” he tries, but you simply saunter over to the counter and look him dead in his eyes. first, you put everything down infront of you. “i’m going out with my high school friends and- before you ask i still love you- but i wanna go alone,so” atsumu’s eyes shoot up at the uncharacteristic seriousness in your voice, but he allows you to continue. you put down a bag of mcdonald’s, his favorite order with an extra large fry just how he likes, “ do not text me,” you take a bag of kfc , mainly wings that are extra hot because you know he loves to wash it down with coke,” do not call me,” as you put things down, you can see atsumu’s eyebrows drop and a pout grow on his pretty pink lips. finally you present the rice balls that samu made, and a coke, “ don’t email me, or smoke signal me, or anything. okay?” you finally finish, look up at him hopefully.

his lip is jutted out as he glances down at the items you used to bribe him and back to yours. you nearly start tapping your foot impatiently. atsumu leans down so for once, you two are eye to eye level. “ are ya sure you still love me?” he asks you softly. you think for a moment that he’s kidding, but the pause and loud swallow you hear give him away.immediately, you realise that you’ve screwed up. before you can answer, your boyfriend speaks again. “if you didn’t want me to come you could’a asked me to just.. stay here. i would have. ya didn’t have to go and spend all that time bribing me like i’m a mafia boss or somethin’” atsumu sighs, obviously disheartened and now walking away from you. you go to hold his bicep to stop him, but he easily moves out the way without making it look obvious.

you’re feeling really bad now, the dull look in his eyes eating into your tummy. “ i do still love you, tsum, don’t be dumb. i just,” you paused when he looks at you with a raised brow. he looks like he really couldn’t care less about your excuses right now. “i actually don’t have an excuse, i’m just being dumb,” your voice was small, timid from hoping that your boyfriend isn’t too upset. the last thing on your mind is the buzzing phone in your pocket but it’s the first in atsumu’s.

he turns again, getting a glass of water. “ answer it, go. have fun. just text me if you get drunk off your ass and i’ll come get ya, if ya aren’t sleeping at one of your friends’ places.” atsumu instructed you. you bite your lip in thought.quietly , you go up behind him. he pretends to not notice your presence, the warmth of your skin hovering over his clothed back. his eyes stay trained on his very important glass of water. your arms wrap around him gently at first but when you feel no protest, you get comfortable. he tuts, tongue clicking against the roof of his mouth. “ you’re gonna be late, yn. go.” and you nearly cry at him using your first name- but you soon realise that if he did what you had done, you’d be doing a lot worse than calling him a first name.

you inhale. deep, calming, hopeful. “ i’m not going,” you mumbled into his covered flesh. he fights a smile, affection creeping onto his skin. “ why? you seemed pretty interested in it a minute ago? i reckon you should go have fun with your little friends. god knows why ya wanna be here, with me, who you wanted to avoid all night.” as he talks, his tone is more playful , more pouty. you rub a thumb over his tummy, speaking into his back and causing vibrations that seem to warm his soul. “because i realise that i like you more than them and i screwed up,” you say. he nods curtly, eyes shiny with unshed tears that are now going away. “ good. i’m glad you know that.” he says.

your newly free arms are folded as you do your classic awkward smile- waiting for his verdict. “go change. we’re watching mulan.” atsumu tells you. before you walk away, you go closer to him.

“i’m sorry,” you say, tenderly putting a hand on his shoulder. “ i should’ve just asked you like a normal person. i wont do that again, promise.” you know you’re in the clear, his eyes soft and his own hands running up from your hips to your cheeks to hold them. he plants a kiss on your lips, affectionately holding your face until your cheeks squish slightly. “it was funny , kinda,” he mumbles. you huff air out your nose, shaking your head. “barely. i almost made you cry,” you reply. he shrugs. “‘s okay, sweetheart. i forgive ya. i wont crucify my baby just ‘cause ya don’t know how to communicate.” and you laugh at that. he releases your gorgeous face, placing a little slap on your ass. “ go on, get comfy. you got a whooole night of apology cuddles ta give me, lover.”

rintarou became a completely different person around you; his walls of steel melting to a puddle and letting you pass. his heart became only for you. something that also changed was how tolerant he became to being around someone, that someone being you. he found himself wanting to be around you always, opting to come with you everywhere and always touching you in some way. no matter how much you writhed or attempted to sway his clinginess it never seemed to ebb away.

that is how you were put into this situation. standing across from him as he lain on your bed- all his favorite food, a new hoodie , and a $100 bill on top of it. he stared at you in absolute disbelief. “ .. so the reason i got you this is because i wanna go to the spa, and no. you cannot come.” you explain to him, tone firm but your heart nearly falling into your ass when he sat up with a bored look on his face. “ are you like,” he starts, picking up the gifts like they were toxic waste- only with two fingers, “ bribing me right now?” he asked. you pondered for a moment, “ basically. i am , yeah.” you reply. he looks up at you, green irises boring into yours as he tries to telepathically say that you’re kidding.

he sighs when he realises that you arent. he gets up, his t shirt draping down his large figure as he collects all the stuff and places it in your arms. “ don’t want it, and let me go shower,” he mumbles, walking past you. you drop the items back onto your shared bed, following him like a lost puppy. the sound of water wafts to your ears as you reach the bathroom, rin now shirtless in front of you. you look at him, confused.

“ showering.. for?” you ponder out loud. he blows air from his nose, pulling his sweat pants down and adjusting the water. your boyfriend, only in boxers, turns to you. “ so we can go to the spa, you silly thing.” he teases , hand coming up to pinch your cheek lovingly. you scoff. “ i just said that you can’t come, rintaro.” and he hisses in faux pain.“full first name? ouch.” your boyfriend jests. before he can hop into the shower, his hands hook around his boxers and-

A/N: Married Hq boys headcanons bc yes. Also this is gender neutral reader.

Fucking dies both on the outside and inside, but can you blame him, he just still can’t believe you married him, so when he hears you said his last name with your first name so naturally when a barista asked for your name so she could identify you from other customers, he just melts. Looking at this list, the underlying theme for most of them is romance. I have a preference for fanfics because I can pick characters I already like and choose what I want to read. It was the first anime I really got into and now everything is a jojo reference. Haikyuu, MP100, Saiki K and Cowboy Bebop are just easy shows to watch. They have good arcs and fun characters but don’t make we want to d!e (I’m looking at you JJK and CSM). Banana Fish is incredibly sad but I simply reject canon events and make my own truth. Actually I do this for just about every show with major character deaths lmao. All of my faves live, says me.

Honestly I think the worst thing about fandoms forming within fandoms is that there's no tag for them.

Like there's a fic for a pairing I like and it has very quickly become hugely popular. I checked it out and yeah it's not really for me but meh I can just not read it... Problem is it's EVERYWHERE on other sites because people are making fanart and fanmixes and fanfics for the fanfic and, because it's a fanfic, it simply gets tagged as the fandom it's for so there's no way for me to avoid it and it's resulted in me going from "yeah I can see why people like this but meh I'm not all that bothered" to "please for the love of god free me from this godforsaken fic I'm going insane I can't escape it"

oh this is such a mood 😭😭😭

what triggered that post was in fact me going through the skk tag and seeing many many MANY posts abt a certain fic that like. idm it or its author (i read some of their other stuff. i follow their blog even) but i don't follow this fic bc it didn't particularly pique my interest is all. but my god is it hard to avoid even just going through regular fandom tags

but this incident reminded me of a p5 fic i was following until i saw how the author was being super weird abt it and abt its readers so i straight up stopped reading bc of that (this is what i was referring to in the tags of that original post)

also the example in your ask reminds me of smth in the haikyuu fandom. a very popular fic, in another life, which I'm sure is lovely and is justifiably this well loved. and it's huge. and half of the boku.aka tag is fanart of it. however. it's placed in a hospital and contains a lot of medical shit. and so does its fanart. which is a big trigger for me. and yeah i think you can see where this is going

HOW TO CREATE AN IMAGE WORK TITLE IN AO3

I have received a few questions about how I customized my work, The Many Misfortunes and Perfectly Ill Timing of Tendou Satori. So I’ve decided to create a post I can link back to if someone wants to ask again.

However, I’m not sure how much people know about coding and other software when they ask. So I’m going to assume very basic instructions to cover all bases. And if you already know some parts, you can skip it.

Basically:

[ 1 ] I used Illustrator to design the title, but you can do that easily in Canva and even PowerPoint. As long as you can drag around text, and customize font style and font color. This part is ultimately up to you!

[ 2 ] As for applying this on AO3, I first uploaded it on a third-party website to host the image.

(You can host the image on websites like IMGUR, PHOTOBUCKET, TWITTER, or DISCORD. )

Once I’ve uploaded it, I make sure that the image is accessible publicly through the image URL. This means I copy-paste the image URL on the browser to make sure I get directed to the image itself.

If you don’t know how to do this, refer to the instructions below:

If you are in browser mobile, long press on the image and click Open image in new tab

If you are on the browser desktop, right click on the image and click Open image in new tab

Here is an example of an image URL:

It will look like this on the browser:

[ 3 ] Now with this link secure, you will have to create a workskin. I won’t be going down the detail of creating a workskin. I trust that there are more detailed tutorials on AO3 itself.

After creating your own workskin, you can then add this code:

Some of the properties defined within the curly brackets are yours to customize until you find the ideal visual you are going for. You might need trial and error for this.

To ensure that the default AO3 title does not preview keep this code as is :

[ 4 ] Once you save that to your workskin, you can then apply that workskin to your work. Go to your work and click Edit Work. It will be under Association when you're editing your work.

Save this and then you’re done!

However, if this is too complicated to work over I will link an alternative where you won’t need to upload an image but simply change the font style itself.

If you want to learn more about CSS and HTML, there is an entire tag in AO3 that is dedicated to making tutorials for beginners. Have a go at it!

jarring realization that i haven't actually haven't done a proper introduction post — no time like the present I suppose?

Anyways you can refer to me as either Poet or Lexi ( or any variation of those two nicknames, Poe, Lex, etc. ). I am nineteen years old ( as of June 2021, because I will no doubt forget to update this as I age so please feel free to do that math ) and go by any pronouns ( although I must ask if we are not close, please stick to she / they ). I'm currently in college pursuing a degree in english, with hopes of being an editor in the future. I've been writing since I was eleven years old and like to think I've gotten pretty good at it. This is my first time posting any work on Tumblr, despite being a reader of stories on here for quite some time.

I am a self-proclaimed "war boy enjoyer" — so you can safely assume I've watched Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and a few different films. Haven't gotten around to Generation Kill quite yet. Outside of period pieces, I enjoy tolkienverse, animanga, and thai dramas primarily. I also play a lot of Dungeons & Dragons and play a lot of video games ( and for all our sakes I am a Gemini, ENXP, and 8w7 ). I literally love Leanna Firestone so much! So this series is actually loosely (very) based off of the end of my recent relationship after we’d been together for a while and it came out of nowhere. I take requests, but no smut for now (I respect others' wishes, therefore I won't post any smut 'til I become 18). You'll know when I take and when I don't take reqs based on the blog desc at the top.

You can also message me privately for whatever reason, like if you just wanna ask a simple question (eg: how's your req going) or want to be added to my tag list. I check Tumblr daily.

About Fanfiction requests (in no particular order):

I don't write fanfics about IRL people nor about movie characters (I'm referring to romantic fanfics only), unless the people in question had said that they don't mind it (eg. DreamNotFound, etc). Otherwise, it makes me uncomfortable.

If you have a request but you're not sure if I'll write it—just send it to me. I won't judge you or anything, but I will have the chance to decide whether or not I actually do it. You don't know if you don't try, eh?

I'm not asking for dictionary-level perfect grammar, just that you make sure your req's actually making sense and doesn't contradict itself.

LGBTQ+ themes are absolutely in, whether it's mlm, wlw, trans, nonbinary, aro, ace and so on. Just note that I might mess up, in which case; I wouldn't mind an advice or two from people with actual experience :).

Fanfics can be either Character x Character or Reader x Character (romantic or platonic). Can also be monologues with just one character, but I haven't tried that.

I'm slow and I often rewrite the same thing at least a couple times, so I don't promise daily updates. I try my best though.

If you're writing a scenario, eg. Reader is a yandere for Midoriya (MHA), how would he react to this?, please tell some plot. Otherwise you'll have to wait extra long for me to think of one.

If you don't know if I write for the fandom you have a request for, once again, just ask me. I'll answer with a simple no or yes.

If I write and post your request and you don't find it satisfying or feel like I could've done something differently please feel free to comment on the post, message me privately, whichever you feel most comfortable with. I'm asking this so that I don't repeat the same mistakes over and over again and to improve.

If you request something not very well known or something (like reader having a weapon from a not well-known mythology, etc) please write some sort of description that I can go off of and a vague plot to use. I did some reqs before and it happened a few times that I couldn't finish a req 'cause I couldn't find anything about it online. It was very frustrating. Plus I couldn't even ask for some sort of explanation 'cause the requester was anon.

You have every right to request and I have every right to refuse a request, that's a fair treatment. If you request anonymously I won't be able to tell you I rejected your request, but I will make a pinned post informing you guys of the works I'll do it's easy to know from then on.

Remaining anonymous is entirely your choice and I don't care about it. If it what makes you comfortable then—hey, me too! :)

Know how ageless blogs are a nuisance, so here; I'm 17. There ya go, not hiding or lying. (9 months left for the blog to turn 18+)

Art student, introvert and a (not good) gamer. Deprived of energy and likes to learn languages; English is my second, currently learning Spanish, Korean and Japanese (focused on Spanish mostly). Native language's Hungarian.

Likes dark humor, stand up comedies, listening to music for hours every single day and watching videos. I also write fanfictions (but that one's pretty obvious) and I'm incredibly shy and awkward with strangers for the first few times. But I'm always happy to reply and I'm told it's nice to have a conversation with me 'cause I'm very open and don't degrade others for having different opinions than me.

I also very much suck at summaries, introductions and the likes.
