In honor of HOA season 1 being on Netflix, I would like to say that no matter how many egyptian gods were manifested in this show, the most unhinged plotline in the entire series will always be the Mick and Ms. Robinson arc, mainly because how out of pocket it was for Mara, but also the way it shifted the entire frame of reference in the show so weirdly. Like leading up to the arc, Patricia's relationship with Jason and then Rufus could be written off as weird, but it's a kids shows so obviously it's innocent. They didn't need to address the uncomfy vibes. We know there are topics that just won't be addressed in kids TV, so the usual implications of these situations don't need to be explored.
But then to have Mara, Mick, Ms. Robinson, and Mr. Sweet all look at pictures of Mick and Ms. Robinson and be like "yeah that looks inappropriate" means the characters are aware that harmful relationships between adults and teens happen. It like breaks the illusion of kids TV now that those implications are being addressed in the show, and now the viewer has to think about them. It reshapes the frame of reference for the entire show, but then they don't apply it to any other character. Like why did they do that? Where was that energy for Patricia and Jason?? When they find out Rufus is texting Patricia???? And the immediately after that arc Patricia is kidnapped?????? Like all of that would be fine if they had never made a big deal about Mick and Ms. Robinson. They changed the whole vibes of the show for the B story.

‘I can see why you never sleep,’ Arthur said, sitting down in an armchair. ‘I too would lie awake worrying that my bookshelves would buckle, and I’d be buried alive by books about the proper amount of flour to bring to a siege.’

my fic is definitely full of The Drama and The Angst and that's how I like it. I'm just wondering if I'm taking it too far if I have a tiny trans leather daddy and a bunch of twinks run off Ted Wheeler when he tries to go to Boston to take his daughter back to 'the church' after finding out she's hella gay.

I am not @bangtan-media-thoughts and she is not me. Kinda thought it was obvious if you knew how to read but I guess we're on a Kpop hit list somewhere as the same person. 🌝
Yes, @thepinkmancut is my main blog. It's got thousands of followers, it's for BrBA/BCS and I have no need to delete it because I don't get harassed there continuously. The experience on that blog vs KKM was night and day. I was so happy to delete KKM and shed all the scary followers.

the worst part about being an adult is thay its no longer socially acceptable to just roll down a really big hill and then run back up it and roll back down again. "oh is this a syphilis metaphor" passerby would ask. "is this for a tick tock". no i just wanna come home covered in dirt and scratches and bask in the the solace of childlike mirth

Can someone funnier than me add captions on these pictures to make it seem like a What we do in the shadow type mockumentary interview of Stede and Ed's feelings about each other
