WARNING: BIG ONE PUNCH MAN WEBCOMIC AND MANGA SPOILERS

GenoSai: do I even have to say it?? They compliment each other so well and are already besties. They make me so happy and I love their love. Genos literally came into Saitama’s life and brought so much new life and excitement when Saitama thought he’d never get any. Genos gives him love and appreciation all the time and never abandons him. Saitama isn’t connected to his feelings, but he cares about Genos and would do just about anything for him, to keep him safe. Genos constantly teases Saitama and Saitama grumbles and takes it with some banter, Genos is super emotional and Saitama does his best to comfort him, they fucking love shopping together and just hanging out period, they talk about the dumbest shit and somehow they still understand each other with the one brain cell they both share. It takes Genos forever to realize his feelings are deeper and Saitama has to be TOLD by their friends that he should fucking realize his feelings already. Just...I could keep going but I’ll stop! 2718873737839439/10 (let’s not talk about the age gap btw, 6 years isn’t bad and Genos is a legal adult.)

FubuSai: the stereotypical straight ship ppl gravitate to. Eh. I can see it, but at the same time I feel like they don’t completely compliment each other. Are they a hot couple? Duh. But I feel like their pride and communication issues would get in the way. 4/10

TatsuSai: hnghhhh. Someone mentioned this before, can’t remember who, but Saitama literally thinks she’s a child in canon. So that just....makes it gross. Same problems as FubuSai but worse. I’d rather see them as hesitant friends w a weird bond. 0/10

SonSai/SonicSai/idk the ship name: eh, toxic. Cant see them getting past communication issues and pride, again. Plus Sonic wants to kill his ass. Also, I just feel no romantic tension?? Even in fanfic it just falls flat for me. 3/10

MumenSai: a favorite!! Wish I saw it more, it’s very cute. Mumen is so kind and would absolutely be there to help him w self esteem and just help him be a better person period. And Saitama would have a cute little kind guy to tease and open up to. I could maybe see Mumen’s kindness getting on Saitama’s nerves when he’s in a bad mood bc Mumen almost never snaps and Saitama feels shittier, or maybe Mumen being mad at Saitama for being kinda lazy at home while Mumen is working his ass off and he’s like babe I just got home, please stop playing the fucking game and pay attention to me I have a concussion again. Prob too nitpicky on this one, heh, but 8.4/10

Genos x Sonic: wtf? As a crack ship, sure. That’s hilarious. But as a serious ship, 1.3/10 bc I could MAYBE see them bond over their love of my chemical romance or sum.

TatsuKing: eh. Indifferent on this one too. I can see them getting along and Tatsu being the mean but supportive gf in public, but a sweet gf in private. King could be like her calm oasis of video games and sweet blonde shy bf. I sway more towards ace/aro King and queer non binary Tatsu, but this is still good. 6/10

FubuPsy/Fubuki x Psykos/idk: hell yeah!! This series NEEDS more wlw ships, both for me to project onto and to cry over. Prob my fav Fubuki ship, cuz they’ve known each other since they were young and had a tenuous friendship. I didn’t use to ship it until I saw that scene in the wc after the MA arc (u know the one) but here we are. They’re big personalities so any interaction is bound to be chaotic at first, but I really think they’d work. Pride put to the side, Psykos could be someone for Fubuki to finally rely on other than the Blizzard Bunch, someone to confide in, a badass partner to fight monsters with, talk about nothing for hours with, be a super fashionable #girlboss couple with, and someone who would really see her for who she is-especially w Psykos knowledge of her from the past. Hell, Psykos might even know her better than Tatsumaki. Fubuki could be an anchor to her like she currently is in the wc, providing a quiet comfort and making her open up little by little. Would prob be toxic at first bc of the MA arc and their desire for power, but is a very good ship I think. 9/10

Speedal/Sonic x Mumen: an old fav! Sonic would have a hard time not hating Mumen at first bc he’s the picture definition of a hero, sum he hates. But hanging out with him would show him Mumen is a GOOD guy genuinely and he’d be like ohhhh shit I’m in love w this man. Mumen would thoroughly appreciate someone to make him live a little, break some rules and stand up to ppl when they talk over him. He’d DEFINITELY be upset when finding out Sonic is an assassin, but would prob be conflicted bc he knows Sonic is a good person despite that. Would prob make Sonic give up on killing for them to be together. Sucks bc of the assassin thing and bc they haven’t met in canon! So we’re not sure how they’d interact with each other, sigh. 7.4/10

Okamaitachi x Bushidrill: a very underrated ship! To be clear, I headcanon Kama as a trans woman and so does most of the fandom. Anyway, very sweet and already built as a friendship bc of their partnership under Atomic Samurai. I can’t remember who writes fic and makes art of them on tumblr but AAAAA it’s so good! Very sweet. Basically depicted Bushi as a nervous himbo who’s honest about his feelings but scared to say them and Kama as a sweet lady who’s crazy about Bushi. Very sweet. Want more of them!! 6.1/10

OneZon/Zombieman x One Shotter: never even thought of the ship till I saw @megidolan art work! Very wholesome, and from what little we know of Shotter we know he’s a sort of nervous yet strong willed guy, and Zombieman would totally help him calm down bc he’s so chill. I could see them sharing cigarettes and talking shit on heroes while cuddling u know? 7/10 only because I don’t see enough of it but very good concept.

Mumarou/Mumen x Garou: a lot of ppl are gonna hate me for this but....I don’t like it. I’ve tried! I just—idk. I’ve read so many good fics about them that make me like it a bit, but the concept is just eh. I think their relationship is, in most reps, really cliche angsty stuff. I wish I could elaborate I just...gah! Basically, there’s better ships for the both of them imo. Sorry!! 4.3/10

Sonic x Flashy/SonFlash: yes!! Prob my fav Sonic ship. They have soooo much tension, it’s almost worse than Genos’ tension w Saitama. Flashy LITERALLY poisoned Sonic so that he wouldn’t be forced to kill him at the ninja graduation. He cares. They’ll never say it out loud, but they care. They have someone who understands what they went through in each other and someone they’re both so similar to, yet so different from. Sonic is more vocal about his expressions and let’s people know it while Flashy often keeps things to himself, they could really influence the other to be more this or that. I could see a lot of comfort with these two, and not much is needed for relationship development; they already have so much unspoken between them after meeting for the first time in years. Love it. Wish I saw it more! 10/11

KingSai: wonderful! Out of the few ppl Saitama is close to, def my second fav pick for a ship for him. There’s a post saying how Saitama doesn’t cut King off when he’s going on rants about games and stuff bc he’s talking TO Saitama, not at him like Genos tends to do on accident. They’re already great buddies! Saitama could find a shy gamer man who he can talk to about manga and stuff and also a passionate bf who could break out of his shell w Saitama and be himself with no lies. King can have someone to protect him, duh, someone who finally understands his weird sense of humor, and someone to shower him in the love and kindness he deserves when Saitama is in the mood to be all out like that w his affections. Plus he’s Saitama’s anchor and brings him back down when he’s super anxious and depressed and tells him what’s up that he needs to fix without sugarcoating it. Would def have a bunch of inside jokes and go on dates that are just staying inside playing video games all night. Domestic af. 10/10

Fubuki x Mizuki: my first wlw Fubuki ship! Hard to find but very good. Mizuki is this big ball of kindness, energy, and raw power that would make Fubuki go ‘Ohhhhhhh, big pretty lady make brain go brrr.’ I could see Mizuki grounding Fubuki when she’s in over her head, giving her random gifts bc she saw sum and thought of her, doing a marathon run and wildly waving at Fubuki in the crowd, and all around being a dependable woman confident in herself and in love with a mysterious esper. Prob a little shy when it comes to anything physical bc she loves Fubuki so much and is overwhelmed by the realness of being w her. Fubuki gives Mizuki advice on ‘acting like a proper hero’ or whatever and though Mizuki thinks she doesn’t need it, Fubuki still helps her a lot w her career and being taken more seriously by others. Would give Mizuki someone who loves her for who she is and would go wild on her in private when she can be open about her affection, would be someone Mizuki could exercise with and listen intently to Mizuki’s physical knowledge, and would absolutely bandage her when she’s all banged up. Hnghh love this ship. It’s only behind the FubuPsy ship juuuuust a little bc they haven’t met in canon so we can’t be sure about their interactions and stuff. 8.8/10, I love WOMEN

Batarou: how could I go this far without mentioning them?! They have SOOOO much tension in the centichoro fight, like come on. Both snarky assholes who are huge softies one the inside, Badd being the more logical one (still a himbo, tho) and Garou being the more chaotic one. Probably take forever to admit their feelings bc they’re so prideful and stupid <3 flirt through constant wrestling matches and it takes Genos saying ‘they should kiss already, they’re getting on his nerves’ for them to finally realize what’s up. (@rayadraws has a great au where Garou Genos and Badd are a chaotic friend squad and Genos is the only brain of the group, haha. Very good au y’all check it out!) Would constantly pick on each other affectionately and switch into concerned SO when the other is hurt like the big teddy bears they are. Raise Zenko together for sure. Garou would fumble being romantic and Badd would find it both hilarious and cute. 11/12

Zombie mask/Amai x Zombieman:

So. I don’t like Amai Mask and I used to hate him, BUT the webcomic and fic have really helped me calm down on him (he’s still a dick tho), so it’s easier to want to ship him and stuff. Bc of Amai’s anger issues and controlling behavior, I could see this relationship being super toxic and icky—but I think they have some form of understanding that pulls Amai back from being a complete dick, you know? Start off as fuck buddies and slowly form something else from spending companionable time together other than screwing. Zombieman pulls Amai back from his angry fits and soothes him over with his logic. Talk maaaaaad shit about heroes, but only when they’re alone because Zombieman knows Amai will talk loud af about the heroes they’re roasting and Zombie doesn’t wanna stop a fight from happening. Zombieman loves making Amai flustered and has a secret check list in his head of all the things that get Amai red faced. Loves to listen to Amai rant about things for hours and loves to watch his face go through almost cartoon like expressions as he talks. He won’t admit it, but Zombie loves to be spoiled by Amai’s shit tons of cash and often takes rides in Amai’s limos when he wants to smoke and think to himself. Amai has a hard time realizing how his feelings have changed, but gets hit hard with it when he wakes up to Zombie making them breakfast one morning while wearing Amai’s underwear. Amai also loves to spoil Zombie and takes him out to restaurants and buys him cool new weapons on the weekends. @batneko has pretty much gotten me into this ship and I strongly suggest looking at their works! 7.9/10

DemonKnight/Genos x Zero/Drive Knight: I’m pretty sure this used to be a crack ship before the past like 10 manga chapters—and now here we are! Not a fav bc 1. ZERO LEFT GENOS TO SELF DESTRUCT AFTER THEY COMBINED TO FORM THE FUCKING JET HE WAS JUST LIKE lol bye SO LIKE if he left him to die that’s super hard for me to forgive and ship grrr 2. Disregarding the manga’s canon and looking at the wc, while I love the little trip they went on where Zero demonstrated his abilities and helped Genos kill monsters, it’s super sus. He knew alllll of this info on Metal Knight and was super supportive and understanding when Genos said he needed time to think. Like,,,what are his intentions? We know so little about him—is he trying to trick Genos or was he being sincere? THAT STUFF ASIDE, they’re a really fun ship. They’re both huge fucking nerds and can keep up with their talk on robotics for hours, they’re both cyborgs so they understand each other’s pain, and they’re both super cool and angsty. I think they could really settle into a deep bond that can go platonic or romantic, just depends. Genos needs more ppl in his life so hell yeah! Plus, he can really let go with Zero bc they don’t have that teacher/student relationship and Zero, if he’s really a sincere and kind guy like in the wc, can be there for Genos and listen to him. Don’t have much to say on this ship other than @wellthisisembarrassing makes GORGEOUS art of them! 6.3/10

Webuiko/Suiko x Webigaza: YEAH I KNOW THEY HAVENT INTERACTED IN CANON AND WE DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM BUT HEAR ME OUT. Webigaza—cool af determined cyborg idol who’s surprisingly down to earth when talking with Child Emperor. Suiko—sassy and honest fighter who doesn’t take shit and is very passionate. Suiko would go to talk to Web then immediately freak out bc aaaa she’s way prettier than she thought, she can’t do this! Web would have to gently encourage Suiko to talk and at first is like ‘ah man, must be an adoring fan, ugh I’m so tired. At least she’s hot’ but when Suiko snaps out of her shyness Web is like oh! She’s super cool wtf. Always bump into each other during fights and help each other get fixed up, Suiko using her muscle power to lift Web’s pieces (and give Web a great view of Suiko’s muscles holy SHIT) and Web would patch Suiko up. Not to be stereotypical, but they’re def a masc/femme couple. I love the idea of this ship soooo much and I really hope they interact! 6.6/10 only bc they haven’t met 😭😭😭 look them up on here! There’s some great art of them by a few blogs

Dr. Kuseno x Bang: pretty sure @baldyborg came up with this one! Super cute. Just two old dudes finding a nice friendship in each other, maybe after Bang helps carry Genos to Kuseno’s after a day of fighting. Bang would find Kuseno to be a very cute little nerd man and would be sooo impressed by Kuseno’s mad scientist skills. Kuseno would be super impressed when seeing Bang in action too. They’d prob talk as soon as they meet each other and Genos would be in the background like you guys it’s been an hour, please fix me I’m on the verge of death 🧍🏻Bang would give Kuseno advice on training techniques to teach Genos and advice on making his bodies more martial arts ready or sum, meanwhile Kuseno would give his take on how to be kinder to Garou so that Bang would learn to repair the relationship with a gentleness he’s seemingly lacking (yes I’m talking about the chapter where he and Garou start fighting and Bang is just not doing enough to reach out to Garou, he’s being a callous old man! So yeah I’m still mad about that). Genos and Saitama would prob be out on a date and Saitama would be like oh theres Bang, wonder what he’s doing? Then Kuseno would walk up and kiss Bang and Genos and Sai would be shocked like SIRS 👬 Genos would tell Bang he doesn’t need another adoptive dad and Bang would be like....ok.... I see them retiring in a cottage together and Bang would become a huge softie. Yes I’m actively ignoring chapter 141 of the wc, shut up. 7.6/10

TankTop master x Mumen: they have a nice friendship going on in the manga right now! Just bros supporting bros. Tank is the picture definition of a muscly himbo and Mumen is his cute passionate bf. Also workout buddies af!! Don’t have much to say other than pretty good ship, just not a fav. 5.2/10

i am. not over oihina (;-;) it's too much time to october when the rest of s4 comes out and it will b forever before we get to see oikawa again so (;-;) imma watch the movies and then the stage plays again and maybe re read the whole manga/light novels/spinoffs. MY HEART

* kageyama still doesn't believe it till this day

* bokuto and oikawa get along. akaashi and iwaizumi regret letting them meet. (smol akaashi/iwaizumi interaction here) sakusa avoids them when they are together. the chaotic energy of bokuhinaoi is too much for him. if we add atsumu... who knows where things will go. they are volatile substances.

* and even outside of training iwaizumi dotes on hinata omg. like a true mother in law. will buy him food. will ruffle his hair. will nag at hinata to not eat so fast and chew properly and have some manners but also aggressive care tactics. will send oikawa pics of hinata being cute while they were in separate countries training for olympics and oikawa is so pissed and jealous he literally can't wait to go and kick everyone's butts. i cant deal with how cute this picture is (now i wanna write seijoh!hinata aghhh)

* they do sit down to watch replays of each other's games and analyse their own plays. it's serious talk. volleyball idiots

Hi ratsoh!! heres my match up info!!

Im p open minded but im generally p shy to people i dont know and really hate starting conversations. im also p introverted and have really bad anxiety sometimes. Especially in crowds/crowed rooms....im the type of person who likes to go slow in a relationship. Id really like to be friends and get to know each other first before we date/become a couple

Some of the things i love are cozying up on the couch with blankets and watching movies or reading a book while the tv plays in the background, watching others play video games and watching YouTube videos. I dont mind sitting hours on end with someone and never actually saying anything. Those are honestly some of my fave moments lol. Music is a huge part of my life, too, and I also have a kitty named gabby who i love v much!!....but she can be a lot sometimes. there probs isn't going to be a time where i dont have a scratch from her!

...I also really really like food and i dont mind cooking from time to time.

Some of the things i really dont like are fighting, or just people yelling in general my ears are really sensitive, someone judging someone else before even meeting/talking to them, making fun of someones appearance, and leaving the house if i dont really need to lol. I also really really hate doing the dishes. I will do literally any other chore besides dishes i mean...ill do them but ill hate ever minute of it lol

Some deal breakers for a relationship with me are forcing me to do things i dont want to do, not giving me space when i need it, and not liking cats.

Some specific qualities im attracted to are someone who will stand up for me bc i honestly cant lol, someone who's kind and easy going, and someone who's willing to help with the house work if we end up living together.....mostly dishes. Also...if they can help me learn to open up that'd be a really big plus lol

My flaws are that id just rather do things on my own instead of asking for help. I can be really stubborn over the smallest of things and sometimes if i really really dont want to do something i just wont do it. It doesnt matter what it is, i cant be persuaded or bargained with. I have a hard time talking about my emotions and if i end up fighting with someone i would just let the subject drop and forget about it instead if talking it out.

My strengths are that im v loyal and supportive and would go to the end of the earth for my loved ones if i had too. I have endless amounts of patience and understanding and am very forgiving of/for them too. Im very respectful of others and try to treat everyone with kindness if i can.

Also, if it matters, im five foot, chubby, and i have shoulder length brown hair.

Yoongi tosses his phone on the bed beside him, sighing heavily after sending his last text. He figures it’ll be enough to keep Y/n from texting him again, so he settles deeper into his comforter, reaching out lazily to pull the curtains shut around his bed. He knows his roommates will be back soon, and it’s just easier to pretend he’s sleeping than to actually interact with them. Leaning back until his head hits the pillow, he throws an arm over his face, letting it block the light from his eyes as he sighs again, a habit after all these years.

His other hand skims the bed until his fingers brush over the cold surface of his phone, and he lifts the device to his face to set his alarm. It might be the middle of the day, but the last time he didn’t set his alarm while relaxing in bed, he had woken up several hours later very dazed and frankly kind of pissed.

The backlight of his phone glows brightly in his face, and it’s through squinted eyes that he realizes he really hasn’t received any sort of reply from Y/n. After setting his alarm, Yoongi reads through their conversation, noticing just how much she likes to talk and ask questions. He wonders when she became this way or maybe if she’d always been like that. She used to be almost terrified of talking to him; it seems like even now she’s only really this enthusiastic over text, keeping her distance in the few instances he’d seen her this weekend.

Turning onto his side, he curls up a bit and tucks his phone under his pillow. Still wondering how his impression of Y/n could have been so inaccurate, Yoongi drifts off to sleep without even realizing it.

The back left corner of the library has always been his favorite. No one ever comes to the back left corner. The back right corner is always surprisingly full, but it’s far away enough that he doesn’t notice those people whispering. The back left corner is always empty. Almost everyone knows that it belongs to him- maybe that’s why no one ever risks coming back here. That’s fine by him, he needs his space to think anyway. Everything’s easiest when there are no distractions, when he can just get his work done without having to pretend to be someone else.

He’s been there for almost two hours now, finally about to finish up his potions homework, when the chair in front of him moves back. Looking up sharply, his eyes meet those of a girl he barely recognizes, a face he’s only seen in the corridor between classes. The only thing that stands out is the bright yellow scarf around her neck, very noticeable against her otherwise plain outfit. She’s no one particularly outstanding, just another student in his year. They’ve never interacted before, there was never any reason to- so why is she doing this?

She sits down in front of him, placing her bag next to her on the table. She pulls out a textbook and her parchment, not even bothering to acknowledge him as she sets up. It’s only when she’s pulled out her water bottle and taken a sip that she looks at him. He’s been watching her the whole time, one eyebrow raised as he observes this unexpectedly brazen girl invade his space. They make and keep eye contact, taking each other in silently for a long moment. Eventually she smiles softly, leaning in to speak to him. Yoongi fixes his stare on her, transforming his cautious gaze into a cold one and hoping it’s enough to cue her in to the fact that he doesn’t want to speak to her. She doesn’t take the hint.

“You’re Yoongi, right? I’m Y/n!” Yoongi stares down at her a moment longer, trying to decide how he should respond. Before he can say anything, however, she’s averting her gaze and leaning away from him, clearing her throat as she opens her textbook. Yoongi smirks to himself, satisfied in knowing he’s made her uncomfortable. He returns to his own work, trusting that her discomfort will keep her at bay at least until he’s finished.

They work silently for about another hour, minding their own work as if the other wasn’t even there. Yoongi keeps his eyes on his papers, making his way quickly through his potions work. His transfiguration essay, however, takes much longer and, after half an hour of flipping through pages and stopping himself from sighing loudly, he closes his books and stands, starting to pack up. He notices Y/n now has her headphones in and seems to be in a similar state of distress. Glimpsing quickly at her textbook, he realizes she’s struggling with her potions homework, the same one he just completed as a matter of fact.

Yoongi runs his fingers over the parchment containing his answers, so easily formulated and scribbled onto the sheet, as he watches her struggle to get even the first question figured out. He stares down at her, long enough that she must have noticed his stalled presence because before he knows it, she’s glancing up at him through her eyelashes. He blinks at her once, then twice, then without a single word he grabs his bag and leaves. He thinks maybe this is the first and only time they’ll interact, so what’s the point in even saying anything to her? Soon enough his thoughts of her are gone, and he carries on with the rest of his day as normal.

Yoongi is moving down the corridor, a force of pure anger and destruction. The hand that grips the strap of his bag is bruised, and there is cut in the corner of his mouth that looks more painful than it is. The rest of the students in the corridor, almost sensing the mood he’s in before they even see him, are moving out of his way as quickly as they can. Everyone knows, either first-hand or based on reputation alone, what the wrath of the Slytherin Prince can do. Although it’s mainly the Gryffindors that like to challenge him to impromptu fist fights, ditching their wands entirely because they all know of how he excels magically, there are a surprising amount of Slytherins that like to create problems with him. Yet another one of those cases, Yoongi of course made it clear that he would never back down or lose, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t in a really foul mood afterwards. Everyone knows this. Everyone stays away. Everyone except her.

He hears her before he even sees her. Well, he hears a group of people, all making excessively loud noises and running down the corridor ahead of him. Their laughter bounces off the castle walls, a herd of friends all running together. They come around the corner, almost running him over as he’s walking. They’re a mismatched group, all in different houses and maybe even different years. He’s seen this group before, always together and always so lively. It’s only now, however, that he’s realizing the contexts in which he’s previously seen his mysterious study partner from the day before.

Y/n comes around the corner last and much later than the others, startling him the most. He’d managed to avoid getting hit by the group of boys as they came around the corner, and he had thought he was in the clear. He isn’t expecting to see her running after them, pointing her wand at them and shooting hexes at their shoes. Apparently she isn’t expecting him either, too caught up in chasing her friends to realize other people could be in her path. She slams right into him, almost knocking him over, and in the moment he’s glad he happened to turn down an empty corridor, away from the crowded one he just walked through. His chest takes the brunt of the hit, knocking the wind out of him slightly, but luckily none of her flying hexes have hit him so he isn’t too annoyed. He’s more shocked than anything, but so is she.

“Y-Yoongi… Hi…” He stares down at her, recognition flashing over his features before he’s pursing his lips and averting his gaze with a roll of his eyes. “Oh! What’s that on your lip- are you okay?” His eyes flick back to her, taking her in as she examines his wound. He’s almost settled on watching her until she becomes uncomfortable again, but she’s reaching for his lip with one finger. On nothing but pure instinct and some leftover desire to fight, Yoongi steps back as she reaches for him, bringing his arm up and smacking her hand away almost a little too aggressively. She draws her arm back immediately, curling the offending limb into her chest as she stares up at him with wide eyes. He almost feels kind of bad, but before he has a chance to think too deeply about it, she’s apologizing.

“Ah, sorry about that. It was just kind of my instinct to try to help. I won’t pry anymore, I’m sorry. You should get it cleaned it up or something, though. Uh- bye!” And then she’s gone, leaving him there, completely rooted to the spot as he stares at the space where she once was. Shaking his head slowly, he shifts his bag higher on his shoulder and keeps making his way down the corridor, wondering if meeting her twice in two days so suddenly like this was more than a coincidence.

Yoongi sighs softly as he walks down the corridor, a small cloud of condensation appearing when he does so. It’s late, and the castle has never been well insulated, so the air around him is particularly chilly. He looks around at the paintings as he walks, all of them fast asleep. This whole castle seems to be fast asleep. Yet he never seems to be able to reach that point. Wandering the castle at night without detection is something he’s gotten quite good at, and it’s helped him find some really quiet corners for when he just needs to get away.

He’s on the 7th floor now, much farther from the dungeons than he expected to be, but it’s not like he has anything better to do anyway. He rounds the corner but almost immediately steps back into the darkness when he sees the telltale light of a prefect’s wand a little ways away.

“Shit…” He mumbles quietly to himself as he turns to head back where he came from, but he’s stopped short at the presence of another human. Y/n is making her way toward him slowly, taking in the paintings on the wall and taking her time wandering, just the same as him. She hasn’t seen Yoongi yet, which gives him time to locate the small opening in the wall that he found a few weeks prior, a tiny little entryway that leads to nowhere- a place to hide.

He slips into the space, pressing his back as far into the wall as he can, and decides to wait it out. He’s only there for a few moments before he realizes the entire situation- Y/n will be caught the moment that prefect turns the corner. Holding back the sigh that’s threatening to escape, Yoongi thinks about his options. Does he let her get caught? It would be the easiest choice, it’s not his business whether she gets caught or not. He should really only care about himself. But what if it’s one of the Slytherin prefects? He knows the two boys in his year that were chosen to rule the castle at night- they’re not likely to just let her off with a point deduction. Should it matter? They can’t do anything too harsh to her, they have a specific set of instructions to follow. But it would still be unpleasant, especially if he has to stand there witnessing the entire thing.

Out of the corner of his eye, Yoongi sees her. She’s still wandering slowly, not even realizing what she’s about to get herself into as she enjoys her midnight stroll. But Yoongi knows it’s only a matter of seconds until the prefect rounds the corner, so without a second thought he reaches out into the darkness and takes hold of her wrist, his other hand clamping down over her mouth to muffle any noise she makes. He pulls her into the small space, keeping his hand over her mouth as he drags her closer to him.

Y/n looks up at him with wide eyes, surprise evident all over her features. He releases her completely, silently cursing the fact that they are currently a lot closer together than he would have liked. He didn’t think this through properly. He brings one finger up to his mouth to tell her not to speak, and luckily she listens because in that moment a bright light starts to shine down the corridor. Yoongi grabs her elbow and drags her further back into the space, effectively trapping her between his body and the wall. He waits until the light is gone, the prefect moving away from them and down the corridor, before he separates himself from her.

Moving to the entrance, he peeks his head out and watches the prefect round another corner before turning on her.

“What are you doing here?” Y/n makes a noise of surprise, pointing at herself as if to check that he’s actually speaking to her. He raises an eyebrow. “What?”

“That’s the first time you’ve ever spoken to me…” Yoongi blinks and averts his gaze, realizing that it really is the first time he’s opened his mouth around her. He looks back at her sharply.

“You could have gotten caught. And then I would have had to listen while you got scolded. Don’t wander around so carelessly, it’s annoying.” Y/n nods silently at him, still staring up at him with wide eyes. He sighs and rolls his eyes, stepping back out into the corridor. “Go to bed, Y/n. It’s late.” He turns and starts to leave, but a hand gripping the back of his shirt stops him. He looks down at her with a frown.

“Thank you… for helping me.” Yoongi tries not to look surprised, certain that no one at this school has ever thanked him for anything. But he doesn’t say a single word- he just pulls his shirt from her grasp and walks away.

When Yoongi arrives at the back left corner of the library, he’s shocked to find it’s not empty. Y/n has her back to him, her headphones in as she taps one foot to an unheard beat. Even down the aisle he can see she’s working on potions again, the textbook open next to her on the table. He considers leaving her here, finding another place to work for just today, when she sighs loudly. Her frustrations with the homework are obvious, a hand coming up press itself against the side of her head as she puts her quill down and starts flipping pages in the book angrily. With a roll of his eyes, Yoongi approaches her slowly and hovers over her, staring down at the answers she’s managed to write into the packet. She notices him almost immediately, her wide eyes trailing up to rest on him as he ignores her and focuses on her work. She pulls an earbud out to acknowledge him.

“When did you get here?” Without meeting her eyes, Yoongi leans forward and plants his pointer finger on one of her answers.

“This should be lionfish spines.” She glances down at the spot he’s pointing to, her curling handwriting showing ‘leech juice’. She turns her gaze on him again, her eyes combing over his features which are now much closer than before.

“Huh?” His eyes flick over to her quickly before turning down to her textbook. He reaches for it, flipping several pages before he stops and taps lightly on the image of lionfish spines staring back at him.

“Lionfish spines. You’re looking for the final ingredient to add to the Wiggenweld Potion, which-” He leans toward her again, tapping down on a different answer she had written. “-is actually a potion that reverses the effects of the Draught of Living Death. It’s a healing potion, not a transformative one. Make sure you change that.” When he’s done he stands again, adjusting the strap of his bag on his shoulder as he moves to the other side of the table and takes his place across from her. He does everything silently, as if deciding he’s reached his word limit for the day and is now going to ignore her. When he’s done setting his transfiguration textbook on the table he glances up at her, blinking when he realizes she’s staring at him.

“What?”

“So you just have all that information in your brain like that?” He furrows a brow at her, choosing to turn his attention back to his books with a shake of his head as he answers her.

“It’s called studying. You should try it some time instead of guessing all your answers.”

“Will you tutor me?” His head shoots up again as he stares at her incredulously, shocked

that she isn’t even affronted by his very obvious insult. She’s leaning toward him, an excited gleam in her eye. Yoongi frowns at her.

“No.” She frowns back, a pout taking over her whole face.

“Please? I’ll pay you…” He scoffs at her, trying to end the conversation as he dips his quill into his inkpot and starts to take notes from his textbook.

“I don’t want your money.”

“So you’ll tutor me for free?”

“Definitely not.”

“So what can I do?”

“Find someone else.”

“But you’re so smart!”

“I’m aware, thank you.”

“Please, Yoongi? Please?” He slams his hand down on the table, giving Y/n a look that shocks her into silence. It’s a look he reserves for when he’s about to start a fight, and he knows she recognizes it when she averts her gaze and draws her hands into her lap as she stares down at her homework. He stares at her for a moment longer, regretting his choice to even approach her today, when he realizes how much he’s actually scared her.

She’s reaching for her quill, wrapping two shaky fingers around it and dragging it over to her page, where she scratches her answers out quietly and carefully. Watching her, he understands the effect his reputation is having on her as he guesses that she’s probably also regretting coming here today. Rolling his eyes and turning his head to stare out the window, he contemplates the feeling that’s settling in his stomach as he stares down at the Black Lake. He’s probably just terrified the only person that wasn’t already scared of him, the only person who’s treated him like any other student up to this point. As much as he’s learned not to care about anyone else in his time here, there’s something about the way she reacted to him that leaves a bad taste in his mouth.

He shuts his eyes and sighs again, turning back to his work after a short moment. When he glances at her, however, he realizes she’s started packing her things up slowly and quietly, making an effort not to disturb him. She stands and, without looking at him, reaches for her bag, which sits on the table between them. Before he can rethink his decision, his hand comes down on it, causing her to jump slightly at his sudden movement. She meets his eyes now, her own wide and cautious. He brings the same hand up and flips it, his palm reaching out to her.

“Give me your phone.”

“H-huh?” His eyes narrow as he challenges her to keep him waiting. She doesn’t. Once he has the device in his hand, he types his number into it quickly and texts himself, only sliding her phone back to her when he feels a familiar vibration in the back pocket of his jeans. He doesn’t even look at her when he bids her farewell, turning back to his essay.

“Don’t forget to fix those answers I gave you.”

The blaring call of Yoongi’s alarm sounds through his dreams, bringing him back to the present. Muting the noise, he rolls over onto his back and stares up at the ceiling, sighing softly as he recalls the beginning of their in-person interactions last year. He had ended up tutoring her slightly, but he could tell she hadn’t utilized his phone number as much as she probably needed. She had called him a few times in the course of frantically studying for exams, and he had given her as much information as she had asked for, never less or more. Her grade still suffered a bit in the end, so he doesn’t know if she’ll be taking the second NEWT course this year, but he had done his part. And she hadn’t abused access to his phone number over the summer like he had half been expecting her to- but it seems this year she just might.

Reaching for his phone again, Yoongi opens their text thread again, skimming over his last message to her, over three hours old at this point.

Yoongi sighs, surprisingly loudly this time, as he rips open the curtain around his bed and leans over to slip his shoes on. Glancing over at the clock sitting on his bedside table, he sees it’s just about time for dinner and decides to head out. Making his way through the common room without acknowledging a single person, he heads toward the stairs that will lead him up from the dungeons to the Great Hall. When he gets to the top of the stairs, however, he all but crashes into someone coming around the corner and heading in the same direction as him. Turning to look at the person, he only has time to register the yellow scarf before he hears her.

“Oh! Sorry about th- Oh.” Yoongi turns fully, meeting Y/n’s eyes as he looks down at her, their proximity making things a bit difficult. She steps back to distance herself from him, and he can’t help the frown that etches itself lightly into his features when she pointedly averts her gaze to a spot just over his shoulder, breaking eye contact with him.

“Y/n…” He doesn’t know what he wants to say, or why he feels the need to say anything at all, but he doesn’t even get the chance to start before she’s speaking.

“About earlier… Sorry I bothered you so much. I figured we might be at a point where I could just talk to you normally, but I see that’s not the case. I got the message, so don’t worry about it.” He blinks rapidly at her, trying to absorb the vibe she’s giving him. It isn’t anger, or hostility, but it certainly doesn’t feel like the warmth that usually radiates off of her, or even the mild hesitation she shows around him sometimes. He can’t pinpoint it, but he doesn’t think he likes it.

She must be taking his silence as an acknowledgment because she’s starting to move past him without another word and toward the Great Hall. He doesn’t think he likes this either. Turning as she passes him, he reaches out and wraps a cold hand around her wrist, stopping her in front of the Entrance Hall.

“I didn’t mean to upset you.” He sees the confusion passing over her face, and the embarrassment that floods over him prompts him to look away. He still has his hand around her wrist, but he doesn’t know what else he wants to say. He doesn’t know why he’s keeping her there.

Do I really feel that bad about this?

“Yo, Y/n! There you are- oh.” Yoongi glances over his shoulder and finds one of her friends coming down the stairs behind them, a fifth year Gryffindor. He realizes how bad the situation must look, the Slytherin Prince preying on a sweet Hufflepuff. Yoongi turns back to look at Y/n- to say that they should talk later or acknowledge that he was trying to apologize- but she’s giving him a polite smile and twisting her hand from his grasp. He releases her as if she were the dangerous one, not him. He feels her friend stop next to him, looking Yoongi over once as if sizing him up. Yoongi doesn’t even bother looking back at him.

“Everything alright here?” Yoongi scoffs and shakes his head, pushing past the kid in question and moving toward the Great Hall. He can hear Y/n talking to her friend as they trail after him.

“I’m okay, Jungkook- stop looking at him like that, he wasn’t doing anything- no, you don’t have to fight him, okay? Stop looking for reasons to get in trouble, the school year hasn’t even started yet. Come on, let’s just eat.” Yoongi sighs as he flops down in his seat, incredibly tempted to slam his head against the table as he relives the last few minutes of his life.

10 KuroFai Fanfictions I hope someone writes or I will have to get to them one day 

All of these are for anyone to use and are ideas that have been bouncing around in my head for a while. If you do like one/use one send it to me and I will read, review, and share!!!!! I have pages and pages of these so lemme know if you want more friends! 

1 ~ Fai gets separated from the group and wakes up in a new dimension all alone. He is discovered by a group of warriors. One of those warriors looks suspiciously like Kurogane but Fai can tell instantly it’s not. He of course just so happens to be able to speak the language and surrenders peacefully. He is brought back to there village where he gets to meet the real Kurogane of this world. Youou is only 5 but is obsessed with the blond hair, blue eyes wizard who “is very pretty’ or so he tells his mom and dad. Fai spends a few weeks with the little family and gets dragged around by the overly hyperactive kid we see in the lecourt flashback. I want Youou to give him frogs and bugs cuse ‘arnt they cool!’ and show him all his extra secret hiding spots. I want Youou to get stuck in a tree and Fai to have to save him and he is just so freaking impressed that Fai can use magic to do that. I want him to be glued to Fai and hold his hand and just like climb up Fai’s side like a monkey and hang over his shoulders. I need a cute scene where Fai is telling him bedtime stories that are totally over the top and silly and for Youou to just freaking eat it up. I want him to just be so freaking cute and innocent and adorable that Fai is just swooning in cuteness overload and when Kuro-chan finally finds him Youou bawls his eyes out when they have to go and when they land in the next world Fai is crying too and Kurogane ends up snuggling him and telling him all about what he was like as a kid.

2 ~ This same shit but With Kurogane. He lands in a world separated from the group and is grumbling and stalking around when he runs into two adorable kids who wont speak to him but are constantly whispering in the other twins ears and shooting each other looks. Eventually Fai and Yuui bring Kurogane back to there house where they live with there Aunt Chii. Eventually the twins come out of there shells and they are both just terrors. Fai (the real Fai) is half 50% huge cry baby and 50% If-you-make-Yuui-sad-I-will-cut-you. Yuui(the one who takes his twins name in TRC) is mischievous but appears to be overly innocent and they cause no end of trouble. They are just cuddle bugs and Kurogane will walk into the house to find that they have stolen every blanket in the house and piled them in the living room like a nest/fort and are napping all twisted around each other at odd angles. They will also crawl into his bed in the middle of the night and twist around the same way and it hurts Kurogane’s pride as a ninja that they NEVER wake him. Bonus points if you write them in Ashura-ou’s care because he is the best underappreciated and well meaning father in CLAMP. Extra bonus points if they are little vampires!!!!!! And they get cranky and cry why they are hungry and there little eyes turn gold.

3 ~ A well written KuroFai A/B/O Fic. (I know I know shoot me) because I haven't read a single one in this fandom that didnt get abandoned after a few chapters or were terribly written. (all KuroFai is Good KuroFai but I want really good Kurofai) specifically I want I Dont-need-no-man omega Fai and a potty mouth Kuro-alpha who just doesn't know what to do with him. All the angst. Just modern day au a/b/o and I’ll probs be happy tbh. I have one in the works but I feel like I would get judged for posting it? I wanted something where Fai and Kurogane are both princes in neighboring lands. Fai is a first prince and Kurogane is like way down there on the succession so when they have an arranged marriage Kuro-chan gets shipped to Fai’s country even though he is the alpha. Fai is meh about the whole thing but ends up loving that Kurogane’s alpha pride is hurt because he was shipped off ‘like a blushing bride’ to his husbands home and teases him over it. I want Fai to have to teach Kurogane alllll about his new home that is culturally very different from each other in regards to gender rolls. (Kurogane’s comes from a patriarchal society and Fai comes from a matriarchal society.) So he totally freaks out that his delicate omega is a war mage who leads armies and fights alpha’s face to face. Of course I want them to grow a mutual respect for each others strengths and fall in love love and live happily every after. 

4 ~ I want a fanfiction where something happens in a battle and Fai ends up saving Kurogane’s ass by stepping in and just using magic to absolutely obliterate the threat and we get to actually see him do more then just act as back up. Kurogane is totally turned on when Fai is a bad ass in a fight and even though he is injured he just really wants to take his mage home and erm... show his affection? Hehe. 

5 ~ One time I wrote a fic where Fai and Kurogane went back to Celese when Ashura woke up and there were still people there. I was told of course by the readers that there were no more living people in Celese because Ashura had killed them or Fai had taken them all to another dimension? I never read that in the manga... (I knew there were no living people in Celese I though Ashura-ou had killed them not that Fai had rescued them) I dont think at least? But that would be a Fai thing to do. I want a fic where the gang lands in the world that Fai took all the people fleeing ‘The beast’ to and since they are all strong magic users they sense his presence right away and the court mages just swarm them. Of course everyone but Fai is super confused. I like to think that Ashura-ou didnt have have his actual son So Fai is the crowned prince aka king now that Ashura-ou is dead so they dont want him to go. It could go a few ways from here. 

Fai was married for political reasons but he and his wife had been childhood friends and she is just so delighted that Fai and Kurogane fell in love and she is just all up in there business about how it happened. Kurogane of course is like what-the-hell-do-you-mean-you-are-married!? and Fai has to explain the situation and apologize for not being honest.

(sorry I ship TaiAsh-ou and it sneaks into everything I do) Taishakuten from RG Veda was super close to Ashura-ou and so also watched Fai grow up and was so freaking worried about him going back to Celese all alone. He has been in charge while Fai was gone and of course demands Fai stay so becomes there villain with good intentions if you catch my drift? Just like in RG Veda he promised Ashura-ou but this time it was to look out for Fai and keep him safe. So we get to hear all sorts of things about Fai that are never revealed int he Manga and Kurogane gets all twisted out of joint that Fai might actually stay when really Fai cant wait to go because while he loves him home the reminders of Celese brake his heart. Of corse Kurogane doesnt get why Fai would want to abandon his people so they have to have a talk and Kuro offers for Fai to live in Nihon when this is over. 

6 ~ I really really reaaaaaaaaaaaally want a fic where Ashura-ou never rescued Fai so he kinda just hung out in Valerie in that timeless prison where he cant use magic. FWR still threw his brother out of the tower and he promised to bring him back if Fai kills the people who will one day. (just swap there names so Fai is Fai and the real Fai is now Yuui for this explanation) So Fai never grows older because timeless prison, never learns how to smile or joke or be a normal human because  no Ashura-ou so he is just this tiny little starving frost bitten gremlin sitting in the snow holding his twin and waiting with the feather FWR gave him. So when the gang show up there like... WTFFFFFF. Kurogane brakes the timeless prison with an attack from his sword and Fai is just looking up at them terrified. he doesnt speak or move just looks up at them terrified. They take Fai and Yuui because Fai wont let go and find shelter for the night. Fai of course cant bring  himself to kill the only people that have ever showed him kindness so he is beating himself up for not being able to do it to save Yuui. I love KuroFai but I also think that people can have close non romantic relationships as well so I would love to see Kurogane Fall in love with Fai and care for him in a parental way? No creepiness just Kurogane seeing a kid that needs him and showing him how to be a kid and live his life. I think this would be so cool if someone has the time to actually write out the healing from a traumatized 5-7 year old into a quirky teen. lord knows when and If I get to this one (I’ve had this idea for 7 years) its gonna be 500k + words. 

7 ~ I want an epic AU where Fai and Kurogane live in different countries. I want it to be a tradition in Nihon that when boys turn 16 they spend some time training alone away from there families and its no different for Kurogane. I want his dad lord suwa to have gone to Celese when he had been Kuro’s age and become best buds with Ashura-ou. like war buddies. So when he ships Kurogane off for training he is trusting his old friend Ashura-ou(king of Celes) to look after him. (Ashura would be more like from RG-Veda and a master swords men if that makes sense) Kurogane is excited as hell to go and when he gets there he meets Ashura’s son Fai/Yuui. I want fun teasing between them, epic adventures, Fai taking Kuro-chans innocence!!! and tons of steamy love. I have so many diff Ideas for how this could go but I would love one where Kurogane helps Fai deal with Ashura going crazy like he does in Tsuba. Bonus points for awesome world building. 

8 ~ I want an AU where Fai travels to Kurogane’s world when he is learning the spell to travel between dimensions and just sorta thunks down in the middle of his village and hurts himself on the landing. I want Kuro’s mama to patch Fai up and for Fai and Kurogane to become quick friends before Fai’s Dad showes up to bring him home. I want Fai to visit every few Years and for them to fall in love love!!! Bonus points if Fai has to sneak off to visit Kurogane and Ashura has to keep coming to get him and drag his ass home. 

9 ~ I want and AU where Kurogane’s parents go on vacation without him so he is spending the summer with his cousins (Syaoran and his dad) and gets dragged with them while they explore historical sights throughout eastern Europe. they end up in this totally dilapidated castle that was abandoned years ago and is supposedly haunted. Kurogane doesn't believe in ghosts so when he hears a banging sound from the catacombs below his room he goes to investigate. He finds the source of the banging and it appears to be coming from a bricked up passage way. Kuro starts to get totally freaked out because he swears he can here crying and someone asking for help on the other side so he locates some tools and tries to get though the wall. while he is working the banging and the crying stop and when he pulls the first brick free he uses his phone to flash some light inside of the room and almost has a heart attack when a single gold eye stares back at him. after the first brick the rest of the wall comes down easy and Kurogane Finds Fai just standing there staring at him. Fai is a vampire that the villagers had entombed 500 years ago and as soon as Kurogane gets close enough to him--Fai bites him. Can you blame him though he is starving to death? the whole immortal thing is not as cool as it sounds when your’re bricked up in a dungeon. Luckily his stomach cant hold much and Fai apoligizes while he waits for Kurogane to come to his senses. Like the rest of these they fall in love love and Kurogane gets to teach Fai all about the convinces of modern day life. 

10 ~ I want a fic where Fai gets sick for the first time in a long time. Usually his magic keeps him healthy so when he gets sick he gets siiiiick. Of course he hates asking for help so que  Kurogane taking care of him.

You got me to love a character I thought I’d never really care about because the way you write him is so? fucking? impressive? BELIEVE ME. I always thought Haru was just a stoic guy that every anime needs because ‘oh we need a silent type’ but bro... You write him to be so much more. He is still quiet/silent hell yeah but, holy shit. You actually make it fucking interesting? LIKE? EXCUSE ME? Your use of body language and soft sounds is amazing! I honestly really appreciate it a lot, considering the fact my muses (mostly Iza) rely on reading body language quite a bit to understand another person. You just know how to write it so naturally and beautifully into a character like Haru who doesn’t use much words. Then fucking Izaya. Holy fuck. I absolutely ADORE your Izaya so much because it FEELS like it’s Izaya? Like, listen. He probably is very different from how he was years ago but he still has the soul and heart of a true bastard sad man who loves humanity. Knock of Sasuke Saizo

Lol I like to bully him,

His is funny because it’s so completely one sided right now, if only slowly pulling results. But lets see what I can do with the local tsundere ninja, as the company liked to call him

Maya and Saizo are two complete opposite souls pulled together by circumstance. Maya is overbearing, fun loving and silly. Shes finally out in the real world and poor Saizo has to pull on reigns to keep her from doing anything too crazy. That’s already a big job for most people but for someone like him? Well it’s easy to see how their relationship got to how it is.

But Mayas genuineness does indeed begin to wear him down. She goes out of his way for him. After all, job or not, he’s still risking his life for her and she wants to do what she can for him even when he’s being a huge meanie! The more he tells her it’s impossible for htem to be friends the more of a challenge she takes it as. And she wont stop until theyre best buddies!

I like to imagine a scene where someone is trying to kill saizo who can barely move from the fight and Maya stands in between them. The person cant kill the kurain master because shes useful so they at least try to fight her enough to deter her but she keeps getting back up.And shes getting in really bad shape, she can barely stand but she still pulls herself in front of saizo. Like yes she’s weak, yes she doesnt know the firs tthing about fighting but she will NOT let anything happen to him if she can still move. Of course in the last second the cavalry comes. and Saizo probs gives her a thorough scolding.  

Now for some fun hcs!

Maya ends up trying to learn how to defend herself and to his surprise she actually has an aptitude for the sword. Something no one saw coming and something only a trained ninja could even recognize. She’s not so good with her feet so it’s kind of hard to tell for most people. She also has good instincts and after quite a bit of time, He actually gets her to be pretty good! The two can gave some good fights, tho of course Saizo still dwarfs her but Maya has fun fighitng him. YOU CAN BET that once she starts getting some level of good she’d try sneak attacking him. It wields some painful results at first, but after  bit he becomes able to send her presence specifically so she doesn’t get as hurt. The first time she genuinely is able to sneak up on him she’s so proud of herself. That is, if that happens. But it’d be cool if it did.

Sakuhito

So I hc that Maya ends up finding out about sakuhito the same way it goes in the prologue. Though it takes longer after meeting them for her to revea that. She kind of plays around with sakuhito for a bit. She’ll muses loudly like ‘huh thats funny thats different from what you told me before. Thats sooo strange. Whats going on here,’ she sees him sweat and desperately try to cover it up for a bit  before kind of letting him off the hook and shrugging like ‘ah well must be my imagination. anyway!’ and changes the subject quickly. One day shes finally like ‘so who are you? cause its definitely not the emperorer’

She gets what it’s like to be in big positions of power so she plays with him a lot. Tries to get him to loosen up. This mostly takes the form of her playing little harmless pranks on him. Something to make him smile. As well as give her a good laugh. You can bet she sets up a banana peel in front of him. It’s all in good harm and nothing harmful and nothing that would put his position in danger

When theyre alone Maya teaches him fun kid things. She excitedly recounts all sorts of fun tales she’s heard, complete with reenacments that sometimes gets herself hurt during the action scenes, sometimes sakuhito. She doesnt care. Maya is probably alot more daring around him than anyone should be allowed to be in front of the emperor but it always works to her favor. All she wants is to get his mind off all the big heavy stuff he has to deal with in the outside world. When theyre together in her room, she wants him to just feel like sakuhito.

I feel like this might result in him feeling the need to distance himself because she ends up being able to tear his mask off a lot easier than she should be able to. And he has a job to do. He cant let anyone know of his presence but maya is absolutely RELENTLESS.

Maya and Sakuhito are very similar in that they have theyre fun childish sides but this never means that they are people who shirks their responsibilities. Which I think is a big comfort for Maya because I like to imagine in the presence of other people they’ll be all stiff. Maya and Sakuhito bow deeply to each other and are like ‘It’s an honor to meet you Emperorer Kuze’ ‘Yes as with you oh powerful Kurain Master’ and they’ll glance up and theres this small smile and glimmer in they’re eye and they share a giggle before coming back up. Them talking to each other politely feels more like a game of pretend, compared with others when they’re playing their assigned roles.

Now time for fun hcs!

I like to imagine if they’re stuck in a gathering of important figures, Maya and Sakuhito will find themselves together and they’ll look like they’re having important conversations, and sometimes they are but others Maya’s just cracking jokes with him in a hushed tones. Sometimes Sakuhito has to start into a coughing fit to hide a laugh.

Of course Maya doesn’t do this all the time. She has a good sense of responsibility and time and place, but there’s also something fun about sharing in these secret conversations. It’s a feeling akin to passing notes in the middle of class with a close friend.

These two have conversations thats just two people of similar personalities and backgrounds who can connect and understan each other in this way that not a lot of other people can They have a lot of fun and when they’re together they can just be themselves. And it’s a bit of a relief from their usual lives. They give each other a place where they can be themselves.

I like to think that they’re kind of like each others safe havens. Like theyre home when they’re with each other.

Like it’s something small that no else would think twice about but he just KNOWS and he takes a look at the letter and it makes mention of a story character who gets kidnapped, And its one of the stories she had told him about and hes immediately like. MAYAS BEEN KIDNAPPED. and everyone else is like. isnt that a jump? but he just KNOWS. he can tell from just these small things that somethings wrong and theres something in his gut that just makes him so sure of this

Munenori

I feel like she tends to do the same for munenori that she does for Sakuhito but rather than it being a concentrated effort at first, with like a purpose she just can kind of naturally be herself. I think that has to do with the fact that Munenori isn’t pushing himself like sakuhito is to keep up the mask of someone that is just the opposite of himself.Her relationship is something more relaxed where she just is herself and munenori appreciates it

I feel like this relationship is very mutual in that, Maya really loves and respects him. She respects how dignified he is. How he holds himself as a leader and how he leads. She’s fascinated by him because he doesn’t treat her like others do and he seems to genuinely enjoy her presence rather than just putting up with her. There’s this natural pull she feels where she wants to learn more about him. In turn munenori appreciates how shes never let the power she has get to her head, rather it’s not in her to ever let her power control her like it has others. She’s so genuine and has this aura of fun about her but also never shirks her own responsibilities. I also feel like he’ll be one of the first to realize her tactical abilities and that she’s much smarter than she or anyone will give her credit her. Like this relationship is built on a lot of mutual respect.

When these two are together I like to imagine it’s more like two like minded people with differing energies that come to converge when they’re together. It’s a friendship that on the outside looks so strange but for these two it’s so natural. They’re like minded enough to enjoy one anothers presence but different enough for them to be able to learn and grow from being together. The ways they differ allow for them to have these interesting conversations. While they don’t agree on everything they can usually walk away from disagreements feeling like they learned something. I guess if I had to describe it, you wouldn’t ever imagine it but their brains are kind of on the same wavelength. Like they can just enjoy each others presence and grow from each other, but when things get bad, something happens with the war, they stand on equal footing and can help support each other. Her relationship with Roberto is interesting because he meets her on much different circumstances than she does with the other two. Maya is trying to really embrace her responsibility and in doing so leave parts of herself behind. It’s not like she’s all business all the time but there’s not as much room to be herself. That’s why Roberto is someone she really connects with. He brings out this side of her that’s shes trying to lock away and just the mere presence of him is making that impossible for her.

These two are people with similar energies who feed into each other. When they’re together it can be explosive chaos because there are ZERO brakes. Interestingly enough it’s usually maya with the reservations. Because she’s here to work. She’s here to study. Yes she has fun, yes she can be silly, but she can’t be her usual rule breaker self when she’s here. She wants to be respectful to the kingdom that allowed her to study under their royalty. So she can’t exactly go around burning the place down.

That’s why Roberto is kind of like her kryptonite. He so naturally and effortlessly pulls her entire personality out where she likes it or not. That’s kind of good but kind of bad. He encourages those impulses that usually most people would tell her no. It’s good in that Maya has more room to breathe, but sometimes he encourages her to do things she shouldn’t. But I think because he’s encouraging this side of her that everyone tells her is bad, she feels more like she can trust him. Like she can entrust this side of herself to him.

ok but ep 9 was literally just a big karaoke fest / fan meeting so nothing really stood out to me.... 

im starting this note halfway thru the ep after seeing huang zhibo’s line in pinlin’s group’s performance bc he did so well im so proud!!!!!!!! omgosh his stage presence has improved!! mainly this is all i wanted to say bc i actually really like zhibo even tho he didnt get much time to shine throughout this show :c ok even tho they had to color his hair for half his line, for the ending they didnt and just filtered the whole screen (thankfully) bc he really looks so nice here ahhhh

tuo xian mu ou.............. im crying........ their performance was so..... thoughtful. goodness even with a performance with minimal choreography, naicha designed every aspect of it with care. he always brings out the best qualities of each member through their performances and that is truly admirable. gao xin starting and ending the song, mu sen’s voice!! and guanguan’s, especially the line they sing together wow, zhang peng is beautiful and i need more of his voice too, zirui singing his heart out, long-ge’s dancing that brings people to tears, chen shun’s rap that cant be replicated, the little montage at the end, and naicha mentioned the formation at long-ge’s center part matching from their first performance and also their star levels matching from their original first grading -- bringing him back to being the only class leader with just 4 stars..... the fact that theyre all crying and hugging and selina and fei are crying im--- ahhhh gao xin and zheng peng’s friendship im truly ahhhhhh 

im sure they knew going into the last round that it would be highly unlikely that they would win... but i think they really showed us that they deserved to.

Those Two Days

Ok. So I’m quite hesitant to post. Because I generally know who is reading and watching (although I dont know when or how or why they read). And this gets me angsty and insecure. Like it’s a safe space for me to post, but I get afraid to share some things. Or everything. Or don’t know how to prevent things from possibly being misinterpreted or misread (which most things prob are or will be because I’m wild and inconsisten with my feelings) but here goes Lolol.

(Actuat post starts here):

Ok. So: yeah. Lolol. Ooo awk start.

Ok. So we haven’t met in a while. A part was that we’re both busy and our schedules don’t seem to align or at first glance they don’t. We’ve just been Coexisting, but more like existing on separate lines and planes and then sometimes meeting because of preexistent measures and events etc. Another part is that I’m not watching your child. This was partly willing and partly unwilling, but opened an opportunity to work Tuesday’s because Monday’s are trash, literally. They’d make me take out and clean the trash and trash cans and it’s not as fun or easy as it sounds- even with a power washer. But it was also unwilling since I’m mostly okay with watching your child and it gives me a break from regular life and work. But whatever. I’m angsty.

Anyways Lolol. So you asked to meet. And I literally was like “uhhhhh.” Because i didn’t know what to say, but also didn’t know what it’d say if we met ?75 also because I wasnt ready, but also because it has been a long long while. And I’ve been told before, many times, to not hide or run from others, especially you. But I think it’s just hard when you have so much emotionally processing, but when you try to explain or bring it to others, it’s harder to put into words. It’s also hard to talk to someone about faith when you’ve been feeling like dry, dead, or rotting fruit, or that you say you feel nothing From God but you aren’t really “trying.” But even when you try, there’s not much of anything at all. like there have been prayers repeated weekly. Prayers spoken and whispered until I cried. And I’ve just been this stump in the ground, not knowing if I’m living or dead; growing or rotting.

But anyways Lolol. That’s not the point of this post. The point is that, the day you asked, I said we would talk about It later. But that was an excuse. I just wanted to delay what was mostly inevitable. I wanted to meet, but i was anxious and scared and uncertain. (But honestly, how pathetic is it that after like 4 years I’m still running and hiding). But later that night, a bunch of people came to fellowship so we didn’t even have time to touch base. And the car ride was... ehhhhhh. It was me wearing an emotional paper bag on my head. Buttttt yeah. Back to the stuff. So that was Friday. And Saturday and Sunday was mostly me doing stuff related to school and work, but also me dealing with the bits of the “issue” still picking at the sides of my heart. And I think I wasnt sure how or when to ask, but also I’m just super awkward in general which made it all the more difficult.

And so, I kinda sorta or whatever stirred up “courage” to passively ask about meeting up. Through messenger (LOLOLOLOL I’m so weak and sad). And no reply. Ok that’s cool. You’ve got your own fam and work and stuff. And then you read it. And I saw that you read it. And I was like, ok he’s prob chillen with his fam or eating dinner. That’s cool. I’ll wait. But no reply. So I’m just thinking about the read message. And l here is where the fall begins.

In total, it was at most two days later (Sunday night, vs Tuesday something) where I didnt have guts to “bump” the post, to which you said you didn’t have your schedule sorted out. And in my mind i was thinking “oh cool” but also “bruh” but also “why didn’t you say that earlier instead of letting me over think and dramaticize these false scenarios in my wicked head.” Haha. So dramatic. But no, like. Everything that could’ve gone or went work, went on in my head during those two days you left me blank.

One of the first things I thought was simply that you were busy. But no, busy wasn’t enough. To me, busy means you’ve got other places to go, other people to talk with, other things that you need to tend to. And you’ve got a kid and another one on the way. But Busy people make me feel like shit. Hahaha. Not that it’s bad to be busy, but it just shoves the idea back up my mind that I’m not worthy right now. That my meeting or my issues are not of high value because of everything else in life. And I feel bad because I feel incredibly selfish and needy. And I stop. I avoid it because I dont want to be a burden, when each has their own load of burdens to carry already. And like. Yikes. Yeah.

And the second thing I thought of was another stem from the root of selfishness, which was Why did I swerve. Like, why didn’t I just say “sure I’d love to meet” or “of course. It’s been a while,” but instead I was so dumb and weird and awkward and just replied “uhhhhhh// let’s talk about it later.” And like, my excuse would’ve been that I was at work, but the reality of it is that I didnt know if i wanted to meet. Which is selfish in that a meeting includes more than one person or party, and by, in a sense, denying the desire to meet, I also deny the other party’s request and desire to meet. And that’s rude lol. But from this, I despised myself even further for being so self absorbed in thinking that this meeting was for me or was based on my need and want.

And another thing I thought was about all the past mentors I’ve had before, which was “oh no. I did it again. I pushed away yet another person. Another person who just cared and I didnt try to care or love as much. Or I cared too much and hurt both of us.” Like I felt that I am too difficult to love and care for. I imagined patience must’ve gone dry, or consideration had gone stale. That I’m so emotionally and socially draining, depressing, fruitless and hopeless that maybe even you, the one of the most graceful people I know, that you, one of the most spoiling and over considerate and kind people i know, had finally given up on me. That you, too, see that the crops you’ve been given watching so carefully and intently had yet to provide fruit. That after four years, the fruit i had produced were rotten and wicked and cursed or had only lasted an hour, if lucky perhaps a day or two.

And so I hate myself for this, but I also, deep in the back of my head, wonder why you didn’t just save me from all this and say you didn’t have your schedule sorted out on Sunday. Or instead of leaving my publicly known crazy, wicked mind on a two and beyond day trip, that you just say “lemme get back to you. Like anything. Something.

A word, a phrase. Something to tell me I’m not being ignored or brushed under the rug. Like yeah. You’re busy. But a word tho lol. Or something. Or a “hey sorry brb” lol. Something to tell me I’m not trash or somewhat of worth. Like yikes.
