Prompt 187
Clockwork would openly admit that he couldn’t see Danny’s timelines. Not since the moment he stepped into that portal and became something more. A child of Infinity, of the very Realms itself.
But he’ll also admit that it always meant that the child surprised him all the time. This just happened to be a startling surprise, and an admittedly amusing one, even if Danny was openly complaining about the situation.
“It’s not fair! You have to be able to fix this, right? Right?!” the ghostling, quite literally now, practically yanked at his cloak. “Clockwork, I was going to graduate, I can’t be two! Please, you’re the master of Time, you can fix this right!?”
No, no he could not, seeing as young Daniel was in fact, immune to timeline machinations, doubly so for his own. To the ghostling’s open distress, which he did his best to soothe. What he could do instead, was stop time in his home dimension, and instead let him age back up again.
Which the young halfa wasn’t happy about, but it was the best thing they had, so Clockwork supposed he had a ghostling now. A tiny adorable ghostling who kept pouting each time his much younger body had any sort of effect on his behavior.
He’d never exactly had a ghostling before, nevermind one who was part human, but he would admit he honestly was enjoying it. Most time was spent alone, something he hadn’t realized until Danny ended up crashing into his unlife.
Honestly he would openly admit that he absolutely adored his little ghostling. Who was now around four, at least physically, and had gotten into the adorable habit of curling up in the pendulum in his chest. Which was honestly the safest spot in Long Now, he’d admit.
The singular issue however, with this habit, was that when someone attempted to summon him, they got his ghostling as well. And well, normally he could very much control himself for these summonings that happened every few hundred or so years, but well. There was a reason why even the Observants had stopped popping in the moment they realized he had a ghostling.
Nesting ghosts do not mess around should they feel one is messing with their very vulnerable child, and really it’s not his fault the mortal cultists woke up and startled Danny. Perhaps deleting them from the timeline was a bit too far, if the other mortals rapid paling was to go by, but oh well.

69. Panorama — Cool Cool, Jeremy Lister, bergie
Our eyes, they need some new direction
There's somethin' lost with our connection
And we can't seem to shake this scene
This same routine is killin' me
This town, it needs a restoration
A little sparkly decoration
These glossy lives and half-ass smiles keep movin' by
By, by, by
Xisuma’s Season 8 has made me certifiably insane and I’m so glad this drawing challenge lets me out of my enclosure to share some of my insanity with yall— dbhc flavored, because of course! <3 This song is actually such a bop, highly recommend it!! It’s pretty early on in dbhc Xisuma’s playlist, representing the uh… Introduction/ Entering The Scene of a certain someone, and it foreshadows the horrific vibes of Xisuma’s season to come. I am so so so normal about this song, I’m positive it would be higher on the list had I found it a little earlier in the year
Although I will say, I was actually really excited to see this song rank at 69 because I knew people would request this number LMAO plus I’ve been drawing so much Xisuma lately so i was super excited to be able to draw and post some of my brainrot finally >:]

I really do think it would be very, very beneficial for people in fandom to spend some time looking into how long it takes to create their favorite media, because oh my god I am so tired of seeing people say "[Thing] is taking so long to come out!!!" and then I look at how long they've been waiting for [Thing] to come out and it's like, 1/3 of the average time it takes to produce that form of media.
I am not an expert on all forms of media, but just to talk about the ones I'm familiar with:
Fiction podcasts are usually in production for at least a year before they start releasing episodes. Nonfiction podcasts can be anywhere from 3-12+ months IME. For a seasonal fiction pod, you'll probably need at least a year of production time per season.
Novels often take 2-3+ years to write. Keep in mind that "writing a novel" is more than just "typing out the words". Writing a novel is plotting, outlining, building a world, developing characters, creating multiple unique storylines that all somehow tie together into one coherent whole, and so much damn editing. It gets even more finicky once you bring traditional publishing into play, which has so many of its own weird, messy things to deal with (@xiranjayzhao has been talking about this a lot, and I really recommend checking out everything they have to say about it. Also, pre-order Heavenly Tyrant.)
I've never worked on a TV show or full-length movie before, though I have worked on the sets of short films before. I once acted in a 2-3 minute short film that required months of planning, a 14-hour filming day, and then a few more months of editing. And again, this was to produce less than five minutes of film!
If you're upset because the new season of your favorite TV show hasn't come out six months after the last one ended, or because it's taking a few years for the next book in your favorite series to come out: I am begging of you to understand that art takes time to make. Good art takes even more time. Good art made by artists who are being treated well takes more time still. The artists behind the art you love are people. Please remember to treat them like they are.

Hunt vs. Hunted AU
(a.k.a. Vampire Wally AU)
Meet the Kardashians—i mean the Pillars
Part 1 || 2 || 3
Character line-up (Oldest to youngest)
So a bit of character Info:
There were more of them, but given the dangers of the monster hunter's profession, theyre the only ones left.
Hannah Pillar
She isn't the actual eldest sibling of the bunch, but among those who are still alive and somewhat sane, she is the oldest. A former mercenary whose main weapons were firearms. She was quite successful in her career but a traumatic incident happened that led to her not being able to weild a gun anymore. She eventually got hired as a desk worker in H.A. (Hunter's Assossiation) mainly handing out missions or intel to monster hunters.
She has a stable relationship with all of her siblings, sometimes the person everyone tells their worries to. She's nutruing and mature, but can also be quite cold and strict when need be. She is also often apathetic to things around her, something that got carried over even after she stopped being a hunter.
Harvey Pillar
Acting second oldest, Harvey is the genius of the group, or so he constantly claims himself to be. There is truth to what he says though since he works as a researcher in H.A. where he gathers information about the various mythical creatures the company had captured. Once, he used to admire this type of work until witnessing a thing or two which led him to be quite nihilistic. He's mainly just in it for the bragging rights and the money now.
Complete drama queen. Heidonistic and arrogant, he can come off as an asshole once he opens his mouth. Hannah keeps him in check most of the time. He does try to act like a big brother but struggles to be sincere about anything because he thinks it's a weakness. Very insecure, easily gets envious, especially of Howdy. For as vocal as he is, he does have many skeletons in his closet.
Howdy Pillar
A very popular hunter that is crowned The Hero of the Century, succeeding his late older brother, Howard Pillar. This is all due to his countless instances of saving people from dangerous monsters, especially feral vampires. Add this and his family background, he was made the H.A.'s face man, appearing in many interviews and posters for the company. He is quite the busy man, and Hannah usually acts as his manager, helping him with his packed schedule.
Howdy is closest with Hannah, but he also enjoys the banters he gets with Harvey. Charismatic and witty, many would think he is a perfect person, the ideal hero. The reality of it though is that Howdy is only in it for the revenge of his deceased siblings. While he smiles and acts relaxed in public, he is otherwise serious and gruff. Doesnt trust easy either. He also doesnt like how the media portrays him and would try to avoid being detected by anybody while he's on the job.
Here's a sketch lol
Honey Pillar
The youngest of the group. She is the black sheep of the family, refusing to associate with H.A. or monster hunting in general, and choosing a career as an actress instead. Despite the controversy that came with this decision, Honey ended up becoming famous because of her alluring personality on the screen.
Aside from Hannah, she despises everyone. She hates Howdy especially because of an instance that lead to her twin sister's death and her loss of 2 arms. She hates Harvey a little less but prefers not talking to him at all. Honey is a drama queen herself, but in a less direct way.

Aye Dolly lore time!
Dolly isnt part of the main cast of welcome home, obviously. She is a mascot of a popular confectionaire store back in the 60s, Doll's Delights. The company that owns Doll's Delight was a major sponsor of the Welcome Home franchise. Doll's Delights would often sell Welcome Home themed treats to the masses helping boost the show's popularity. At the present, Doll's Delight no longer exists. It is speculated that the store's parent company went bankrupt.
Dolly the muppet herself was made in the late stages of the Welcome Home series as a tribute to Doll's Delights. She is a living easter egg. Although a puppet of hers was made, Dolly never had an official introduction in the series, only having backround appearances in the later episodes before the Welcome Home series was pulled off airs.
