oh look it’s another Zesty rant! about the gaaaame also gonna add Bers rants while I’m at iiiit, even though I like it a ton better than I did Zesty

seeing people say the anime is taking a turn for the worst and that the game was soooo good, everyone should just go play the game, the characters had development what. development. “Killing is wrong, we’ll find another way!” “Killing is bad, can’t do it.” “Well, even though I didn’t look for a way this entire fucking game, I’ve since come to realize that Killing Is Good. Let’s Kill him.” “Hi I’m a princess and instead of development I just get drama thrown my way to make sure you have a delicious plate of angst. What’s that, you had that served to you for a week straight of gameplay? It’s losing it’s taste?“ Yeah now I can only taste salt even when the fans sugarcoat the fuck out of this “No matter what you choose to do, you’re RIGHT. Killing, that’s okay. You’re RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT to do whatever you PLEASE.” awwwwwwwww look soymilk, everything’s better this game is perfect no flaws ‘cos I have my ~pretty looking~ m/m ship and ignore the gaping fucking nothingness to explain the WTF that is going onnnnn! also everyone is wrong if they Didn’t Get It. The story was PERFECTLY EXPLAINED, you just didn’t pay attention! (is that what happened with the anime? not enough BL? I watched three episodes or was it two, idr. Thing is, people shit themselves over the waist grab and those other shippy moments, and since I haven’t heard anything lately or seen gif sets on my dash of the Beloved Couple…I could be wrong, could be that it legit is worse than the damn game, but maybe it’s just not SHIPPY ENOUGH. I did see someone complaining that they missed the shippy moments. So.) I bet people think I hate that ship. I do not. I ship them, and frankly, all the shitty writing has done the pair a disservice. (That could be said of all the characters, because I liked quite a few of them - like my Lady of the Lake and a certain shirtless wind seraph I honestly thought I wouldn’t like but did.) I do want to add that it is great if someone enjoys the game, even the anime, but I’ve seen so many insults thrown at those giving fair critique that it’s very difficult not to feel like I’ve got to defend myself against attacks that I am too stupid to see the development and storyline. Like, at some point I need to see what doesn’t exist, apparently… Quick thing about Bers, there are spoilers: - Ka/moa/na’s a child, but the way her outfit is designed…she’s not wearing much? Combined with jokes like a certain witch showing Phi what was under her books, it’s uncomfortable. Maybe I’m being a prude. Maybe it could be a friend was upset at (untagged) po/rn of her posted before I’d met the character, and I feel like that already burned it into my head that some people are taking full advantage of the inappropriateness of her design? Whatever the case, consider that my formal annoyance? - secondly the inc/est vibes, it’s not my thing. it’s only fiction, but personally I didn’t sign up for that exorcest vibe I’m distracted by some current news events so I can’t judge my feelings too much here, but it feels like some of the side conversations are a little…too wordy? Again, stress has not helped me, I need to probably replay from the beginning after I beat it and not let the scary stuff distract me.
