This is maybe a bit of a petty complaint since I don't think that anime adaptations HAVE to adapt the source manga without cutting things out, but I do think the Dungeon Meshi anime is worse for the fact that this particular conversation isn't there:
This chapter is the final chapter before the one where the red dragon appears. In addition to adding to the mounting dread about what Falin's fate is, it also gives context as for WHY Falin's body being found completely digested (excluding the bones) is so bad. I saw someone (and my brother said something similar while we were watching episode 11) be confused on why Falin's skull is so shocking, since the rules of revivals haven't been laid out as well as in the manga

so i really liked this part in the snack/sorbet episode, and since i've been in a Think About Dunmeshi mood the last couple days, i've been trying to interrogate why this little moment caught my attention (besides the fact it's cute and appealing animation-wise - i especially like the movement of chilchuck pulling his head back up and gesturing with his hand afterwards)
i guess the short answer is it's a nice moment between chilchuck and laios. like, to me, it's an oddly... not vulnerable position, but maybe more open for chilchuck? it's a couple things: the POV shot emphasizes the fact that he has to tilt his head up and back to look at laios because of the height difference, and i know it's been shown (mostly in bonus material i think) that laios tries to be careful about how he interacts with chilchuck because chilchuck doesn't like feeling infantilized for his size (like laios not obviously bending/kneeling down to hug him, as an example). like, chilchuck could've still turned his head while looking up, or even walked backwards to look at laios, but he does this instead.
then there's the fact laios is gently pushing chilchuck forward. it's a small thing, but i know pushing can feel... well, pushy, maybe patronizing or rude in some cases, depending on the context and who's doing it, yknow what i mean? but chilchuck doesn't appear to mind. and this last part is probably mostly a me thing, but i think there's a certain amount of trust being demonstrated here, because chilchuck is 1) letting laios guide him, 2) trusting laios enough to not look where he's going for a second, which 3) idk about you but i find the act of walking forward while looking up mildly disorienting
i get this is probably mostly me looking into things a bit more than i need to! but still, i've always really liked the moments where chilchuck demonstrates that he does see laios as their team leader, and generally trusts laios well enough, even if he might prefer laios behave differently and sometimes decides he needs to be pushed to understand/confront certain things. their relationship dynamic is a particular one, kinda subtle, but there's a degree of respect and trust that i just enjoy seeing!

i know this scene has been talked to death at this point but genuinely the picture of marcille with her hands feet and hair all bloody after fighting the dragon, sorting through the dragon's literal fucking guts and gore in order to find falin's bones after having been squeamish around other monsters. using resurrection magic to bring falin back bc thats what she came down there for and by god she was going to do whatever it took. like jesus christ

Chilchuck Tims has 4 daughters
Izutsumi’s relationship with the whole party is very fun and heartwarming, and her relationship with each party member has something unique and special, but besides Senshi being the mama hen I really love how Chilchuck looks after Izutsumi in a father-ish way. He’s the only one in the party that sees her like an actual human girl lol. He treats her with respect while not letting himself be walked over, and I think there’s something to be said about it, esp since Chilchuck knows how it’s like to be infantilized and pet like a cute thing much like our favorite catgirl. He does handle her like a guy who has 3 adult daughters, parenting instincts kicking in
Listen I knooow the party is breaking up with the end approaching but I’ve been thinking a lot about if Izutsumi decided to stick with anyone and I think it’d be really nice if she stayed with Chilchuck. I love Chilchuck’s store so much, I have so many headcanons and fic plans involving it, but listen.
I feel like Chilchuck would be a good person to look after her, she’s still a teen and shown not to be mature enough to know what to do with herself and feed herself right yet, she could become Chilchuck’s store mascot like a cat that’s always lounging inside hehe.
He gains another sort-of-daughter and she keeps her favorite pillow, a loss-loss deal on his end but Chilchuck is too responsible to not take her in if needed mwahahaha Izutsumi would have no remorse, he’s ready to suffer for her comfort
Ok girl we get it he’s your dad
